Nicole: Hey, my beautiful Sydney. You're a gift from heaven -- yes, you are. We are practically home free. No one's gonna know that -- you know what, though? I won't say it. Forget biology. You are mine in every way that matters. Yes.
E.J.: Is she asleep?
Nicole: [Clears throat] Not yet.
E.J.: [Cockney accent] Hello, my little darling.
[Normal voice] We were watching "Oliver twist" yesterday.
Nicole: [Chuckling] I know.
E.J.: Yeah. I'm sending her up a chimney later.
Nicole: [Chuckles] So, um, how was the meeting with your father?
E.J.: Um, well, it wasn't so much the meeting. He wanted to talk to me. He's a little concerned that we haven't scheduled Sydney's baptism yet.
Nicole: Oh. He's not concerned about the wedding -- that we haven't scheduled that yet?
E.J.: Nicole, come on.
Nicole: No, I know he loves me. I know he loves me. Yes, I do. He insults me every chance he gets.
E.J.: Darling, you let it get to you, okay? That's your problem.
Nicole: How can I not? I mean, he -- he's in my face every five seconds.
E.J.: Sweetheart, you just have to take a deep breath and relax.
Nicole: It's all right. It's all right. I can handle it.
E.J.: Can you?
Nicole: And you can tell your father to relax, because I've already arranged everything for the baptism.
Nicole: Yeah. Really.
Nicole: Uh-huh. Earlier today I did. I was gonna fill you in, but tick, tick, tick, tick.
E.J.: That's amazing. Your clever mummy -- she's always one step ahead of us, isn't she, hmm?
Melanie: Finally. I was about to leave.
Tony: Sorry. I had an emergency at work. Oh, you're shivering.
Melanie: Yeah. Why's it -- why's it so cold? I was under the impression that winter was over now.
Tony: Oh, well, not in Salem, unfortunately. Here. Is that better?
Melanie: Uh, yeah. Thank you. [Chuckles]
Tony: So, you're quite the heller, aren't you -- new in town, wheeling and dealing, making your mark?
Melanie: Let's cut to the chase. You said that we could help each other. So, what's your pitch?
Tony: Fuels prototype. I want it in production immediately, and I have the means to make that happen.
Kate: That's right. When can it be fixed? A few days?! No, that's not gonna work, because I need to fly out immediately. [Sighs] No. Forget it. I'll figure out something.
Victor: Going somewhere?
Kate: [Sighs] Vegas.
Victor: Vegas? What the hell for?
Kate: Lucas and Chloe have decided to elope, and I'm going to stop them.
Lucas: You doing good?
Chloe: I'm not the world's best flier, truth be told.
Lucas: Well, I got something that will calm your nerves. How's that? Is that better?
Chloe: Yeah. I just have to focus on other things, aside from, you know, being 30,000 feet in the air.
Lucas: Well, how about you focus on this? Tonight -- drumroll, please -- you are gonna become Mrs. Lucas Horton.
Rafe: Yeah, you heard me right. Well, you better believe it, because I'm not taking the job in New York. Various reasons. Yeah, well, it would have been great, but it's not in Salem. [Chuckles] Because it's important for me to be here right now... for A... friend.
Sami: Sister Theresa, I'm so glad you called. How is Grace?
Sr. Theresa: Sami --
Sami: I miss her so much. I --
[Grace crying] Is that Grace? Why is she crying like that? What's wrong?
Nicole: So Lexie can be the Godmother if that's what you want.
E.J.: Well, of course, if that's what you want.
Nicole: Yeah. So, any ideas for the Godfather?
E.J.: That's just great. Do you mind if we discuss this when I get back? I have to run. Sorry.
Nicole: Oh. Okay. Where you going?
E.J.: It's my turn for visitation. I've got to get Johnny from Samantha. She's waiting for me at the pub. I will hurry.
E.J.: Okay? Oh. Um, invitations. Shall I take care of it, or do you wish to take care of it?
Nicole: No, I'll do it.
E.J.: At St. Luke's, right?
Stefano: St. Luke's? For the christening?
Stefano: But why not the convent of the holy cross?
Sami: Listen, I will be there as soon as I can, okay? You just wait and -- oh. No.
Sr. Theresa: What is it?
Sami: I can't. I can't, 'cause E.J. Is coming, and he's coming to pick up Johnny, so I have to be here to talk to him. Hey, sister Theresa, I will call you right back, okay?
Rafe: Everything okay?
Sami: No. No, it's not, and I'm really glad you're here, 'cause I-I need to ask you a favor -- about Grace.
Melanie: Did I hear you right?
Tony: I thought I was quite clear.
Melanie: So you are offering to provide financial backing for the fuels project?
Tony: As long as you can reproduce the formula blueprint.
Melanie: What's the catch?
Tony: No catch. I simply believe in this project. I think it's revolutionary. I think it has the potential to change the world.
Melanie: Yes, well, nick is a genius.
Tony: As well as your father.
Melanie: Yes, he was.
Tony: You know, you and I have something in common, miss Layton.
Melanie: What's that?
Tony: We've both been wronged by family -- undervalued, taken for granted, taken advantage of.
Melanie: That sounds familiar. And I think the kind of money that this project could yield would make you independent from your bartender brother. I think that would be a relief.
Melanie: I suppose so.
Tony: And I can extricate myself from the DiMera empire and make it my own. Now, this might sound a little churlish, but... nothing would make happier than to watch my father and my pompous-ass brother eat crow.
Melanie: I agree. I understand. Yes, believe me.
Tony: We can make this happen, so what do you say?
Melanie: I don't think so. No. I'm sorry. I ca-- I can't. I can't do that.
Tony: Why not?
Melanie: Well, I don't trust you.
Rafe: Of course I'll help -- whatever you need.
Sami: Oh, thank you so much. Um, I was just talking to sister Theresa, and Grace is really unhappy. She, um, has a -- a rash, and it's -- it's okay. It happens all the time with babies, but, uh, she needs a special ointment, and I told sister Theresa that I would bring some to her.
Rafe: But you can't leave here because you're waiting for E.J. To pick up Johnny.
Rafe: Okay. No problem. I'll drop off the ointment. I was heading that way, anyway.
Sami: Thank you. Thank you so much.
Rafe: No problem.
Sami: Um, you know what? Let me write down the information for you.
Rafe: I just have to make one quick call, and then I'll get over there, okay?
Sami: Thank you so much. You're a lifesaver.
Sami: Will. Hey. I'm so glad to see you.
Will: Really? 'Cause I was pretty sure that you'd be in a really bad mood.
Sami: Why? What did you do?
Will: I didn't do anything. Dad and Chloe are on their way to Vegas. They're eloping.
Victor: Kate, you should have realized this. Lucas is her meal ticket. All she's doing is making sure she gets to eat.
Kate: Oh, great. Well, that's fine, 'cause I'm gonna make sure she stays hungry, because she is not going to marry my son.
Victor: Fine. You're gonna go to Vegas, and you're gonna do what? How you gonna stop them?
Kate: What do you think I'm going to do? How do you think I'm gonna stop them? I'm gonna tell Lucas that Chloe had an affair.
Victor: With Daniel?
Kate: You knew?
Victor: What am I, an idiot?
Kate: You cannot protect him, victor.
Victor: I'm trying to protect
you, Kate. It's bad enough she's made a cuckold out of him. He doesn't need to hear the sordid details from his mother. He'll resent you forever.
Kate: Okay! Fine! What do you suggest I do?
Victor: Stay out of it.
E.J.: Well, I haven't heard of the convent of the holy cross? Have you, darling?
Nicole: Hey, sweetheart. Hello, there. Oh. Oh, I got the blanket and everything. Do you remember me, huh? [Thud] Oh, I'll get that. [Baby coos] Yeah. I know. Now, why did Sami say you died?
Nicole: Uh, yeah. It -- it rings a bell, but I've already booked St. Luke's for the baptism, so we're all set.
Stefano: Hmm. Oh. All set, huh? I'm glad to hear it.
Nicole: Uh, aren't you picking up Johnny?
E.J.: Yeah. I'm gonna go in a second. I need to make one quick phone call.
Stefano: So, the convent of the holy cross -- it, uh, rings a bell, huh? I've heard of it, yes.
Stefano: Oh, Nicole. Nicole. Why did you not tell Elvis the truth?
Nicole: Hey, honey. Are you gonna give your charming grandfather one of those sweet, little smiles?
Stefano: Answer me, Nicole. Why did you not tell Elvis that you not only have heard of the convent of the holy cross but you took a little trip there a few days ago?
Lucas: You got to be kidding me.
Chloe: What is so surprising?
Lucas: Well, just, you know, a woman as sophisticated as yourself -- I would think you'd been to Vegas.
Chloe: Well, I've seen "oceans 11" like 14 times. Does that count?
Lucas: No, it doesn't count. You got to be there, all right? You got to feel the energy. You got to walk the streets. You got to gamble a little. It's romantic, too. It's one of the most romantic cities in the world.
Lucas: No, not really, but it will be, you know, when we're done with it. Don't worry about it.
Lucas: What? What is it?
Chloe: Oh, my God.
Lucas: What? What's the matter?
Chloe: I-I don't know. I -- I just feel so strange all of a sudden.
[Exhales deeply] Lucas, what are we doing?
Will: Dad asked me to go to Vegas with him, to be his best man, but I said no. I think they should be alone right now.
Sami: Alone? You mean Kate's not with them?
Will: Grandma? She didn't even know.
Will: [Scoffs] Yeah. She almost had a heart attack when I told her.
Sami: I'll bet she did. But, um, hey, we want your dad to be happy, right? That's what matters.
Will: Yeah. Totally.
Sami: I have a -- a really quick phone call I have to make, and then I was thinking maybe we could hang out -- you know? -- Eat and talk and everything. Is that okay?
Will: Who -- who are you calling?
Sami: No one important.
Will: Well, tell "no one important" I said hi.
Sami: [Chuckles] You are hilarious, as always. I missed your sense of humor, will.
Will: Yeah, well, do you miss hiding stuff from me, too?
Will: Mom, this isn't an ordinary phone call, okay? I can tell. So, what's the big deal, mom? Who do you need to talk to?
Nicole: Fine. Fine. You want to know why I went to the convent? First you're gonna tell me why you followed me.
Stefano: I do not owe you an explanation. But, on the other hand, you had better come clean and damn fast.
Nicole: Well, for your information, I was performing charity work.
Stefano: "Charity work"? Yes, of course. And I am the king of Naples.
Nicole: I was working with pregnant teens. Ask E.J. He knows about it.
E.J.: All right. I'm -- I'm heading off. I'll be back shortly.
Stefano: Elvis, wait. Uh, listen. When you get back, we have business to take care of, okay? And we have to talk about what we talked about before.
Nicole: I have an idea, honey. Honey? Uh, why don't -- why don't we make a little family trip?
E.J.: I'm sorry?
Nicole: It'll be fun, and I could really use a Brady burger and fries.
E.J.: You know that Samantha is gonna be there, right?
Nicole: [Thinking] Sami, Stefano? Stefano, Sami?
Nicole: Y-yes. Yes. I-I-I can deal with Sami. Well, we'll bring Sydney along. It'll be a fun, little adventure.
E.J.: Okay. Let's get going, though.
Nicole: Okay. Well, I'll get the baby ready. Will you grab the diaper bag?
Nicole: Yep. Yes. We are gonna go on a little trip with your daddy. Yes, we are. Won't that be exciting, huh?
Stefano: Clever girl.
Nicole: Yeah. And you get to see your big brother, too, huh?
Stefano: I'm not gonna tell Elvis about your clandestine visit to the convent -- not yet. But you and I are not finished, Nicole. I will get to the truth.
Nicole: Well, ciao, Stefano. Buona notte.
Stefano: Wrong language. Wrong move.
Melanie: Okay, look, no offense. I'm sure you're a halfway decent guy, but I have already made the mistake of trusting a DiMera once.
Tony: No, uh -- well, you have to be cautious. I completely understand.
Melanie: "Cautious"? I mean, really, I shouldn't be giving you the time of day after what E.J. Tried to pull.
Tony: Yes, but I'm not my brother, and I don't do business that way.
Melanie: And I'm -- I'm supposed to take your word for that?
Tony: Yeah. I hope so, because that's all I got.
Melanie: All right. Okay. Maybe you're not as slimy as your brother. Maybe you're an angel in a houseful of devils. I don't know. But I've -- I've been played enough. I just -- I-I have too much at stake here.
Tony: Hmm. Well, listen, I'm not gonna push you, you know? It's your choice. You got to go with your gut.
Melanie: Thank you.
Tony: And I'm sure I'll find some other businesses to invest in. I'm sure you must have a lineup of investors. Yes? Well, anyway, good luck and good day and, listen, thank you for all that.
Melanie: All right. Tony, wait.
Lucas: You know, I don't get this. One minute you're acting like this is the happiest day of your life. And the next minute you're kind of acting weird about it.
Chloe: It's just that leaving for Vegas without telling your mother -- is that really fair?
Lucas: This is about you and me -- not about my mother, all right? This is our life.
Chloe: Yeah, but she's been so excited about planning this wedding, and she's been talking about it nonstop. She wanted to go dress shopping with me.
Lucas: You know what? We'll spend time with her when we get back. It'll be fine.
Chloe: Well, I know, but she's just been so supportive and so sweet to me, and I'm afraid --
Lucas: What? You're afraid of what?
Chloe: Well, I'm afraid that when she finds out we got married and didn't invite her, she'll be devastated.
Kate: You don't need that. You've had too much. You're not making any sense.
Victor: I'm not making any sense? Here you are running off to Vegas to stop some marriage. You don't even know where they went.
Kate: Well, what do you want me to do? You want me just to sit back and -- and watch his life be ruined?
Victor: I want you to weigh all of your options before you go running off, making a damn fool of yourself.
Kate: Oh, I'm making a fool of myself? How am I doing that? Chloe is the one who had the affair. Chloe is the one who cheated on my son.
Victor: Yeah, yeah, so she's a morally bankrupt harlot. What else is new? Is it your job to clean up every mess that Lucas makes?
Kate: Yeah, well, apparently, it is. And what is it with you? Every five minutes you're changing your mind. You told me you were gonna help me, didn't you?
Victor: I was gonna help you bring Chloe down. I was gonna help you make Chloe suffer, not Lucas.
Kate: Well, making Chloe suffer means bringing Lucas into it. There is no way to avoid that -- no way to avoid him being hurt.
Victor: Fine. Then bring them both down. Destroy their lives. Destroy everybody's life. Knock yourself out.
Kate: Victor, I am going to stop this wedding. I-I'm going to stop it. And if Lucas sees the messenger as someone who needs to be killed, then so be it, because time is running out.
Victor: Yeah, well, it's not my fault. Now, what's that supposed to mean?
Victor: I've been warning you for months about that little slut.
Kate: Oh, I see. Is this the "I told you so" moment?
Victor: Just give me my damn drink.
Kate: Take your damn drink. You know something? None of this matters -- where it came from. The only thing that matters is saving Lucas, and I need to tell him about Chloe and Daniel. I need to take that chance.
Victor: Well -- or you could just take my advice, for a change. You know, there are other ways to go about this, equally as effective.
Will: So, what's up, mom? What's the big deal with the phone call?
Sami: It's not a big deal.
Will: You know, you're no good at hiding stuff.
Sami: Will --
Rafe: Hey, will. How's it going?
Rafe: Hey. Uh, should -- I'm gonna take care of that errand we talked about. We'll talk later.
Sami: Yeah. Thanks again.
Nicole: Who are you?!
Rafe: All right. Everything's cool. Just calm down, okay? I'm from the local cable company. I'm just doing my job.
Nicole: In my bedroom? What are you, nuts? I'm calling the police.
Lucas: Listen. I want you to be 100% sure about what we're doing, all right? So you just tell me what to do and I'll do it. Just say the word.
Chloe: I want to call Kate.
Lucas: Except that. We can't call her. We can't use our cellphones on the plane.
Chloe: I know. Not now. I mean when we land in Vegas. I really think that we should call and invite her. It wouldn't feel right otherwise. She's been so good to us and so sweet to me. I mean, she's already gonna be crushed when she finds out that her plans have gone to waste.
Lucas: The plans have not gone to waste. This is about us, all right? It's about you and me.
Chloe: I know, but this isn't what she wanted.
Lucas: She wanted us to be happy. She wanted me to be happy, and I'm happy, all right? What more could a mother want? At first she might be a little upset, but she'll get over it. It's fine. You know how resilient she's been with everything she's been going through, right?
Lucas: And I know her better than anybody, so she'll deal with it. Don't worry about it.
Chloe: Okay. Well, fine. Let's -- let's do what we planned. Let's go to Vegas and get married as soon as we find a justice of the peace.
Lucas: That's right. I love you, Chloe.
Chloe: I love you, too.
Ladies and gentlemen, we regret to inform you that the captain has been instructed to turn the plane around and return to Salem.
Kate: All right. I'm going to bite. What's your plan? What's your alternative? Let Lucas and Chloe get married?
Victor: In a word, yes.
Kate: Oh, I see. And I just sit by and I watch Lucas' life go up in smoke?
Victor: He'll find out all about the bitch all by himself, and he can get the marriage annulled.
Kate: Oh, that's brilliant. That's such a brilliant solution.
[Sighs] Victor, you know what kind of woman she is.
Victor: I certainly do. I've been telling you from the beginning, and yet here we are.
Kate: Well, I am sorry that I couldn't be as sour and as cynical as you are. I'm sorry, because I wanted to believe that the woman who saved my life was someone I could trust.
Victor: Oh, God, if I hear that one more time about that bimbo --
Kate: I will not let Lucas walk out on a failed marriage. A failed relationship is bad enough, but I don't know what would happen if he goes through another divorce.
Victor: Really? Is the that much of a wuss?
Kate: [Scoffs] I am going to Vegas.
Victor: Fine. I've made my case. Do what you want.
Kate: Can I borrow the jet?
Victor: Certainly -- if you don't mind crash landings.
Melanie: Okay. All right. So maybe I judged you unfairly, but can you blame me after what I've been through?
Tony: I can't blame you at all, but I'll ask you for one thing -- that you give me the benefit of the doubt.
Melanie: Okay. All right. I'll work with you.
Tony: Splendid. I'm pleased.
Melanie: But we do it on my terms or I walk.
Tony: Fine. Name your terms.
Melanie: All right. Um, I want the deal in writing, and I want contracts and signatures and lawyers.
Tony: I wouldn't have it any other way.
Melanie: Okay. And I want to remain the sole owner of the patent, and that's nonnegegotiable.
Tony: [Laughs] That's fine. I agree to all your terms.
Melanie: Okay. Well [Chuckles] That was easy.
Tony: Mm. But before we go any further, you need to show me the blueprints of the formula.
Melanie: You're aware that all the known copies of the blueprints were destroyed by either a fire or a computer virus, right?
Tony: Yes. But I'm sure a young lady like you must have a copy somewhere, what, with all your resourcefulness.
Melanie: I-I don't have one with me, you know, but I know where to get one.
Tony: [Chuckles] And get it to me as soon as possible.
Melanie: Okay. I'll call you as soon as I get it.
Tony: All right. Well.
[Stomps foot] Yes.
Nicole: This should be fun.
E.J.: You asked to come, sweetheart.
E.J.: Samantha. Will, how are you?
Will: I'm good.
Sami: You brought the baby. Hey, Sydney. Hi, pretty.
E.J.: So, um, where's Johnny?
Sami: Oh, uh, Johnny and Allie are upstairs playing with my Grandma.
E.J.: Okay. Do you want to wait here and I'll go get him?
Will: You know what? You -- you guys wait here. I'll -- I'll go get him.
E.J.: Thank you, will.
Sami: You know, um, the last couple days, being with Johnny and Allie -- there are no words. Thank you.
Nicole: How did you do it, Sami?
Sami: Do what?
Nicole: Keep your sanity, stuck in that witness protection program all those months, away from your family? I-I get upset if I'm away from Sydney for even a minute.
Sami: Well, I guess it's nothing new. Women always have a hard time being separated from their kids.
Nicole: I know. I'm just -- I'm just saying.
Sami: Yeah, it was the worst thing that ever happened to me, Nicole. It was...torture.
Nicole: Of course it was. I mean, how could it not be, especially when they grow so fast? Who would want to deal with that? Not me, huh? Not me. Come here, Syd. Nothing could keep me away from my little princess, huh? Nothing and no one, huh? Yes. 'Cause you're beautiful.
[Smooching] Comes to cell phones - there are as many plans as there are mobile devices. We cut through the clutter to find you the best cell phone savings - tonight at six - only on the news hour. . . .
Melanie: Do you ever take a day off?
Max: In this economy? No. I'm just glad to be working. You want something to drink?
[Clears throat] Ice water with a hint of lemon.
Max: Ice water. Got it.
Melanie: So, how are things going?
Max: Actually, I can't complain. How are you? I haven't seen you in a while.
Melanie: Um... I've been laying low.
Max: Oh. Oh, okay. If I didn't know any better, you came down here because you want something from me.
Melanie: Now, Max, can't I come check in on my brother from time to time without there being strings attached?
Max: What do you want, Mel?
Melanie: I don't -- I don't want anything.
Max: Just tell me.
Max: I knew it. I knew it.
Melanie: All right. Look, is it a crime to want something, to need a little help?
Max: It all depends.
Melanie: Um... I need to see a copy of the blueprints nick gave you.
Kate: "Crash landing"? What is that supposed to mean?
Victor: The plane is out of service.
Kate: [Sighs] Great.
Victor: It'll be ready in about a week.
Kate: So, what am I supposed to do? Fly commercial?
Victor: [Gasps] Horrors.
Kate: [Sighs] Thank you. Thank you so much for everything you've done. I really appreciate it.
Victor: I am not the bad guy here, Kate.
Kate: Oh, no. No, you're a prince.
Victor: You need to concentrate on your real problem, which is that good-for-nothing, soon-to-be daughter-in-law of yours.
Kate: [Sighs] Don't even say that. Chloe lane is not going to marry my son. One way or another, I'm stopping the wedding.
Chloe: Are they serious? Are we really turning around?
Lucas: It's why I hate flying commercial. I told you.
Ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for the earlier announcement. Apparently our air-traffic issue has been resolved, and I'm happy to report that we will be continuing on to McCarran airport in Las Vegas.
Lucas: Nice. Now, that is a relief. Yes!
Chloe: I guess we're gonna make it, after all.
Lucas: Well, if not, then we would have just found a justice of the peace in Salem.
Lucas: That's right. Nothing is gonna stop me from marrying my dream woman tonight.
Nicole: Shouldn't they be down here by now? Really.
E.J.: Okay, sweetheart, just relax.
Nicole: I-I-I just don't understand why will had to take Sydney upstairs.
E.J.: Okay. Will explained. It's because Caroline wanted to see her and Johnny's not ready.
E.J.: All right? Just take a deep breath, okay? It's gonna be fine. Samantha --
Nicole: Wait. Okay. But what if she gets hungry?
E.J.: Darling, if she gets hungry, either Caroline or will are gonna bring her downstairs. It's fine.
Nicole: [Clears throat]
E.J.: Samantha, I should say, by the way, I was very impressed with will. It seems that time away in Switzerland has done him a lot of good.
Nicole: Yeah. I'm gonna go get Sydney, okay?
Nicole: You know how she is with strangers, E.J.
Sami: "Strangers"? What, are you kidding? Johnny is her half brother.
Nicole: Still, your grandmother scares her.
Nicole: Look, the last time I was here, Caroline came up to her and she started to shriek.
Sami: My grandmother is better with kids than anyone else I know.
Nicole: Well, clearly not with my daughter.
Sami: Are you kidding me right now? I mean --
E.J.: Ladies, enough -- both of you -- please.
Fr. Matt: Well, look who's here.
Sami: Father matt.
Fr. Matt: E.J. Nicole. Samantha.
E.J.: Hi, father matt. How are you?
Fr. Matt: Good. And where's the new baby?
Nicole: Uh, upstairs. Caroline is watching her.
Fr. Matt: Well, I'm sure I'll meet her soon.
Nicole: Oh, yes, at the baptism, and I'm so glad you could perform it, father matt.
Fr. Matt: It is my great pleasure. And I assume you'll be there, Samantha.
Sami: Me? [Chuckles]
Fr. Matt: Well, at the -- at the christening. Well, I'm sorry. I, uh, I just assumed that since, uh, Johnny is Sydney's big brother...
Nicole: [Clears throat]
Fr. Matt: I hope I haven't spoken out of turn.
E.J.: Not at all, father. Not at all. If Samantha wishes to attend the baptism, obviously, she's more than welcome.
Melanie: Oh, okay. So, you're not gonna let me look at my blueprints. That seems fine.
Max: Why do you want to see them, Mel?
Melanie: There's -- there's only one copy left. I want to make sure it still exists.
Max: Yeah. Right. Right.
Melanie: Once again, your faith in me gives me faith in myself.
Max: Come on, Mel. Just tell me what's going on.
Melanie: Max, nothing is going on. Can't you just -- can't you just help me without there being questions?
Hey, Max. The register's running low. You're gonna need to pull some cash from the safe.
Max: All right. I'll, uh, I'll be right there. I have to take care of something.
[Door closes] What the hell are you up to?
Rafe: Hey, there, little Grace. Hey. You feeling better now?
Sr. Theresa: Thanks to you, she is. I would have gone to the store myself, but our car is in the shop.
Rafe: You kidding? It's no problem at all. Besides, it gave me an excuse to see my little buddy here. She's the only one who gets my jokes.
Sr. Theresa: I'm sure there are a few others.
Rafe: Well... but now I can report back to Sami how you're doing, huh?
Sr. Theresa: How is Samantha?
Rafe: Uh, she's okay. The only thing is, uh...
Sr. Theresa: Yes?
Rafe: Well, it breaks her heart that she can't see Grace. Your mommy misses you. She misses you dearly.
Fr. Matt: Well, I'll see you all at St. Luke's.
Nicole: Yes, you will. Good night.
Fr. Matt: Good night.
E.J.: Good night.
Sami: You know, look, just because father matt put his foot in his mouth, please don't feel obligated.
E.J.: He didn't. He didn't put his foot in his mouth. Look, you're Johnny's mother. He would want you to be there.
Nicole: Yes. You're right. We are all connected as a family now -- forever.
Will: Well, Grandma Caroline's in baby heaven right now, so she said she'd bring the kids down in a few minutes.
Nicole: Oh, oh. Well, is she okay? Was she crying at all?
Will: Uh, no, not for a second. She's cute, though.
Nicole: Yeah. You know, will, we were just talking about Sydney's baptism, and, um [Clears throat] Well, we'll be saving you a seat in the front row.
E.J.: We'll be in touch with all the details.
Sami: Sounds good.
E.J.: I'm sure it'll be a joyous day. One big, happy family, eh?
Melanie: Oh, holy cow.
[Chuckles] I'm sorry. You scared me.
Tony: Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you.
Melanie: Oh, that's okay. I'm just -- I'm a little jumpy these days.
Tony: Well, that's understandable. So, did you get the blueprints of the formula?
Melanie: Uh, actually, no.
Tony: That's disappointing.
Melanie: No, it's okay. It's okay, because I can get them, and I will.
Chloe: Good evening.
How can I help you?
Lucas: Well, you can, uh, make this woman my wife... and join me and my beautiful fiancée in holy matrimony, please.
Headed to Vegas?
Business or pleasure?
Kate: Uh, business. Strictly business.
E.J.: So, will, how's school going?
Will: Uh, fine, I-I guess, except I don't know any of the kids yet.
E.J.: Well, it's got to be a bit rough, I suppose.
Will: No, not really.
Nicole: You know, um, I'm gonna go upstairs and get Sydney and Johnny myself, because the separation anxiety's...
E.J.: Sweetheart, just -- come on. You get separation anxiety the moment she leaves your hands.
Nicole: Yes. Too true. But you know how I hate to be away from my little princess. Excuse me.
E.J.: You know what? I should -- I should probably step out and give Nicole a hand with the kids.
Sami: Oh, yeah. You definitely want to protect your daughter from my creepy, evil grandmother.
E.J.: Samantha, she's just a little overprotective. That's all.
Sami: So you've said.
E.J.: Right. Well, I suppose I'll see you both at the baptism, if not before.
Sami: Pick up. Come on. Rafe, pick up. Please, pick up.
Rafe: Sami, what's up?
Sami: I miss her too much. I can't do this anymore. I want my little girl, and I want her now.
Nicole: You're all mine, little Syd. Yes, you are. [Smooches] And I'm not gonna let anyone come between us. No, I'm not. No, I'm not.
Ladies and gentlemen, we're pleased to have you on board flight 628, nonstop from Tokyo to Chicago O'Hare international airport. You will be free to move around the cabin as soon as the captain has turned off the "seat belt" sign.
Mia: She's by baby, Nicole. Mine.
Hope: What were you thinking about?
Daniel: I was sort of wondering how doing the right thing can feel so wrong.
Kate: I am going to stop him from getting married.
We are gathered here to join this couple in holy matrimony.
Philip: You want to watch a family crash and burn? Watch the DiMeras.
