Lucas: Hey. I was just about to call you.
Lucas: [Moans] Wow. What was that for?
Chloe: Lucas, I have an amazing idea.
Lucas: All right. Tell me.
Chloe: Let's elope. Tonight. Right now. We could book a flight to las vegas, get a honeymoon suite, find one of those all-night chapels, and I could wake up tomorrow morning as mrs. Lucas horton. Come on. Think about it. What could be better than that?
Lucas: Chloe, what's gotten into you?
Sami: I've got to figure something out. Well, no, I don't want to miss it. I've missed too much already. She sat up...all by herself? She... I'm bringing you a camcorder, because I don't want to keep missing these moments. Just...tell Grace I'll be there. I'll be there as soon as I can.
Will: So, who's Grace?
Nicole: There you go, honey. Tucked in and nice and warm. Here we go. What the hell are you doing here?
Dr. Baker: Well, you know what they say -- "the truth will set you free"? That's what I'm gonna do for you.
Daniel: That bad, huh?
Hope: [Sighs] Can you believe it? I'm taking my lousy mood out on a defenseless piece of lettuce.
Daniel: Wow. Everything okay?
Hope: I was supposed to get together with kay, but she got paged at the hospital. You see, she has a job and important things to do. Me? Oh, you know, not so much.
Daniel: Not so much, huh? Well, I'm a diagnosed workaholic myself, so I feel your pain. Would you mind if I joined you?
Hope: Uh, well, are you sure? I'm not very good company.
Daniel: Well, neither was i last night, but you listened anyway, so let's turn the tables.
Hope: Okay. That might be nice.
Bo: Hey. What, is something wrong?
Bo: No. No, why?
Roman: I don't know. You just looked like you want to hit somebody.
Bo: Ah, no, it's just this damn budget.
Roman: Well, that would do it to you.
Roman: Okay, I'll talk to you later.
Bo: All right, man.
Roman: [Sighs] So, I understand that you're here to see me about a job.
Rafe: That's right, sir.
Roman: Sorry the fbi let you go. I did try to put a good word in for you.
Rafe: Well, I know that. I appreciate it, sir.
Roman: Well, don't worry about it. It was nothing -- not after everything you did for sami.
Rafe: Just doing my job, sir.
Roman: Okay, that's three "sirs" in three sentences. I'm starting to feel like a drill sergeant.
Rafe: [Chuckles] Okay, well, it's just that, um, well, I want you to know that I'm applying for this job on my own merits. It wasn't my idea for sami to go above your head and call the mayor.
Roman: Whoa. Stop right there. What the hell did sami do?
Lucas: [Sighs] It's just we're already speeding up the wedding. We can't elope.
Chloe: Why not?
Lucas: What do you mean "why not?" We told my mom --
Chloe: I don't care what we told her.
Lucas: Chloe, don't say that.
Chloe: Lucas, please listen to me, okay? This wedding -- it's starting to feel like it's more important than what really matters -- you and me.
Lucas: [Sighs] You said you wanted a wedding. You said that, uh, allie was gonna be the flower girl, and your family was gonna be there.
Chloe: Yeah, we can have a party later. I just want to get this done.
Lucas: You "just want to get this done --" like it's something on your to-do list? You're just gonna scratch it off and forget about it?
Chloe: No, no. That's not what I meant. No, that's not how I feel.
Lucas: Then how do you feel?
Chloe: I told you. I just want to be married to you as soon as possible.
Lucas: Yeah, I know, and I'm not buying it. I mean, out of the blue, all of a sudden, you want to elope? That kind of reminds me of when, out of the blue, you wanted to break up with me.
Lucas: Yeah, chloe, it does. We said we were gonna be honest with each other. Now, what's going on? Is there something you're not telling me?
Hope: When I didn't have time to do it all, I did it all better.
Daniel: Well, do you think you should look for something else?
Hope: Oh, yeah. Will I? No.
Hope: I can't see myself being anything but a cop.
Daniel: Gotcha. See, you and I -- we don't have jobs. We have, uh...
Daniel: Yeah. There you go. It doesn't really seem fair, though. It's not like you did anything wrong.
Hope: Yes, I did. Kayla could have died. My job was to protect her.
Daniel: Well, I swore first to do no harm, but I've lost patients. You just got to give yourself -- or at least find a way to forgive yourself.
Hope: Like you're so good at that.
Daniel: You know, I don't like talking to perceptive people.
Hope: You're upset with yourself about something.
Hope: Did you forget that I'm a really good interrogator?
[Knock on door]
Abe: Everything okay?
Bo: [Sighs] Why does everybody keep asking me that?
Abe: Maybe because you look like everything isn'T.
Bo: Everything is peachy -- just peachy.
Abe: [Sarcastically] Yeah, I can tell.
Bo: [Scoffs] Well, did you come here to find out about my feelings, or what?
Abe: Uh, no. I wanted to give you this.
Rafe: Uh. [Chuckles] Uh, see, I, um, didn't mean to throw sami under the bus like that. I thought you knew.
Roman: Oh, man. I should have expected something. After I told her about that hiring freeze, sami never takes "no" for an answer.
Rafe: Okay, well, thank you for listening.
Roman: No, no. Wait. Pull up a chair. Have a seat. Now, I said there was, uh, nothing the mayor can do, but I... well, let's put it this way -- the police department has discretionary funds, and one of them is to cover long-range criminal investigations.
Roman: When you kept that hit man from getting to sami, it is my belief, in effect, that you kept the dimeras from getting to sami.
Rafe: Let me get this straight. Are you telling me that you think that her ex is involved in this?
Roman: Well, to be honest with you, rafe, I'm not sure about E.J. I am much more interested in his father, stefano dimera.
Rafe: Well, I would be more than highly motivated to help you do that, sir.
Sami: Grace? Who's Grace?
Will: Whoever you were talking about on the phone like 10 seconds ago.
Sami: Oh, "rafe." Rafe is the guy who was, um, assigned to my case when I was in the witness protection program.
Will: Well, you sounded worried.
Sami: A little bit. Yeah, I mean, he's done a lot to protect me, and I -- I don't want to talk about that right now. I want to talk about you. I feel like I've hardly seen you since you've been back.
Will: Maybe that's 'cause you're never around.
Dr. Baker: That's right.
Nicole: There's nothing about the word "free" that has anything to do with you.
Dr. Baker: [Sighs] Aren't you gonna let me in?
Nicole: No, because we don't have anything to talk about. I don't like you.
Dr. Baker: I don't like you, either, but I have a certain grudging respect for you.
Nicole: Wow, that's wonderful. Now I feel all warm and gooey inside. Hit the road, jack.
Dr. Baker: Nicole, you're hurting my feelings.
Nicole: I am not scared of you. I got away with it, and no one suspects a thing.
Dr. Baker: And you don't think I had anything to do with that? You're living every woman's fantasy -- man of your dreams, his daughter, if not necessarily yours.
Nicole: And I won't let you take it away from me -- not by a long shot.
Dr. Baker: I'm not trying to. I'm gonna be leaving town.
Nicole: What did you just say?
Dr. Baker: I thought that would pique your interest. I'm leaving town. I had to shut down the clinic.
Nicole: Oh, so does that mean the black-market-baby industry is ineligible for bailouts?
Dr. Baker: You're not very nice. It was pretty painful losing that clinic. There's a lot of good memories there.
Nicole: Yeah, I know. Profiting from human misery and all those women screaming in pain -- good times. Real good times, doc.
Dr. Baker: I have an offer in detroit.
Nicole: That's swell. I hear the streets are paved with gold in detroit.
Dr. Baker: And I have other offers, as well. It just depends on me figuring out where I want to be.
Nicole: Well, lots of luck to you.
[Knocks on door]
Dr. Baker: So, I guess this is goodbye, nicole.
Nicole: No, this is prelude to goodbye. I know you're not leaving town without attempting to hit me up for money.
Dr. Baker: Nicole, I don't want your money. I want something much more important than that.
Lucas: What are you looking at him for?
Chloe: I'm not. I'm looking at all the people in here. We should be talking about this alone. Please, let's just get out of here.
Lucas: All right, fine. Let me pay my bill.
Hope: So, I'm thinking of actually doing some work with the horton foundation. Hey, lucas. So I'll probably be seeing you around the hospital.
Daniel: Yeah, well, not that I wouldn't mind, but are you sure there's, like, no chance of you getting your job back?
Hope: Realistically, no. Absolutely not.
Daniel: None? I mean, maybe I could try and --
Hope: No. Thank you, though. Hey. Wow, what a nice surprise. You know, I was just telling daniel that I may be doing some work for the horton foundation. I already talked to lexie about it, actually.
Abe: Are you sure you're gonna have the time?
Hope: Abe...what I've got is time.
Abe: Yeah, well, that's over with. I made an appeal to the review board. You've been reinstated. You have your job back...if you want it.
Hope: If I want it?
Abe: I take it that's a yes?
Hope: Are you -- abe, oh, my gosh. You are the best mayor... but an even better friend. Thank you.
Abe: Well, you know what it's like dealing with bo without you.
Abe: It's straight self-interest.
Hope: You big jerk. Thank you.
Lucas: If there's something you're not telling me, just please tell me what it is.
Chloe: It's just all the stuff with the wedding. It doesn't really matter, does it? It's not important.
Lucas: You know what, chloe? Honestly, this is starting to feel like sami to me.
Lucas: Yeah, when sami sped up the wedding, it was because she was playing me.
Lucas: I'm not saying that's what you're doing. I'm just saying that's what it feels like right now, 'cause you're not talking to me. You're not telling me why you want to elope. I mean, why do you want to do that? What's going on? Where is all this coming from?
Chloe: You almost died.
Lucas: Yeah, I know. It's a reason to get insurance, not to get married.
Chloe: I want us to commit to each other.
Lucas: Well, I thought we had.
Chloe: You know what? If you don't want to get married right now, maybe you just don't want to be married at all.
Lucas: I didn't say that. Hey, come on.
Sami: You're mad at me.
Will: It's okay. You're busy. I get it.
Sami: Come on, will. You have to know how important you are to me -- that when you left salem, I was heartbroken, and I'm so happy that you are back. I'm so relieved and happy.
Will: But still, you've got a lot going on. You're busy. Okay? I get it.
Sami: No, no, no. I'm not busy. I've just been preoccupied, and I know that that's not fair to you.
Will: Yeah, well, you just seem...that way.
Sami: What way?
Will: Like -- like right before something bad happens. Like you think something bad is gonna happen.
Sami: I thought I hid it so well. Will, come on, I was in the witness protection program. It was...gnarly.
Sami: You know what I mean. It was stressful, okay? And I feel like I didn't get to welcome you back properly.
Will: [Sighs] Mom, look, you don't have to welcome me back, okay? I just -- if something's going on, I want to know.
Sami: I told you. I feel like I haven't been there for you.
Will: You don't have to be there for me or welcome me back home, okay? I just want to know if something's going on.
Sami: No, it's nothing.
Will: Right. Well, like I said, you're too busy.
Sami: Will, wait a second. I'm not --
Will: You know what? I'm too busy, too.
Sami: Oh, come on. I just had to check in case it's something about the twins.
Will: Cool. I got to go get my phone from the cabin. I'll call you when I get it.
Will: Mom, don't worry. This isn't anything too gnarly.
Nicole: Something more important than money?
Dr. Baker: An invitation to your wedding.
Nicole: What? Are you crazy? I won't let you anywhere near my wedding. Ugh.
Dr. Baker: You know, I'm gonna miss pushing your buttons, nicole.
Nicole: You son of a --
Dr. Baker: Shh, shh, shh. Play nice. Don't be a sore winner.
Nicole: So, you're really leaving?
Dr. Baker: [Sighing] Yeah. All good things must come to an end.
Nicole: And you're done blackmailing me.
Dr. Baker: Let's never mention that word again.
Nicole: Okay, uh, this is ending awfully easily.
Dr. Baker: For you. And for me, I will take comfort in the fact that I had something to do with that. So, not au revoir, nicole, but goodbye. Have a great life, kiddo. It's gonna be interesting.
Hope: Oh, daniel, you don't have to go.
Daniel: No, I do. I'm gonna grab a sandwich. And you need to celebrate. Well, you got my vote for re-election. Smartest move by a politician this year.
Hope: Oh, I have to agree.
Hope: Thank you, daniel.
Bo: Heya, fancy face.
Hope: Hey, guess what.
Bo: "Guess what"?
Hope: No, just guess.
Bo: No, hey, abe, you said you were gonna wait till I got here.
Abe: I lied. I lied.
Hope: You already knew.
Bo: Yeah, I knew. For about 10 seconds. His honor was the man with the plan.
Abe: [Chuckles] Well, you know, everybody knew that you shouldn't have been let go. It was easy.
Hope: Thank you.
Abe: So, I'm gonna leave the two of you alone, and, just like the good doctor says, you guys need to celebrate.
Bo: Yes, we do.
Hope: Abe, thank you.
Abe: All right.
Hope: I can't believe this. I really -- I didn't think it was gonna happen. I thought it was completely out of the question.
Bo: I hated seeing you go through what you had to go through.
Hope: I know. But I couldn't have done it without you.
Bo: Things are looking up.
Chloe: [Breathing heavily]
Daniel: [Sighs] It's over. It is over.
Chloe: Merry christmas early. I hope you're ready to unwrap your --
Will: Chloe? What's up with you?
Roman: You've never heard any communication between the guy and the person that was giving him orders?
Rafe: Well, everything i heard him say is in the report, sir.
Roman: Damn, I hate hired killers. They're so damn close-mouthed.
Sami: Hey, daddy, I'm just on...lunch. Daddy, what's he doing here? Did you give him a job?
Roman: I did not give him a job. He's filling out an application. That's all.
Sami: Oh, well, I'm happy to write a letter of recommendation.
Roman: You know what? I think I'll, uh, have some coffee. You want some?
Sami: Daddy, you know I can't drink that stuff. It's like you could cut it with a knife.
Roman: Well, that's what happens when officer cleary is your barista. No, I'm gonna go down the hall. Get the good stuff.
Sami: Ah, yes.
Rafe: What's wrong?
Sami: [Chuckles] What makes you think something's wrong?
Rafe: Because I know you and I know that something's wrong and I want to know what it is.
Sami: My kids are all screwed up because I'm a screw-up. And...because I talked to sister theresa and she said that Grace is sitting up by herself and I missed it.
Rafe: It's okay. Hey, listen to me. Everything's gonna be okay, all right? I swear. It'll be all right.
Nicole: Hey, lucas.
[Clears throat] I, uh, I was just about to call chloe. I think I found something that might work for joy's junior bridesmaid's dress.
[Chuckles] Say that 10 times real fast.
[Inhales deeply] Wow. You look like hell. Again.
Lucas: Thanks. I don't think joy is gonna need her junior bridesmaid's dress. I don't think I'll need a tuxedo. I'll probably just wear a straightjacket.
Nicole: What did you do this time?
Lucas: You know what, nicole? I haven't a clue what I did. All of a sudden, chloe's decided, out of the blue, she wants to elope tonight. And when I didn't clap my hands and act like I was really happy about it, she assumed I didn't want to get married, and so she stormed off.
Nicole: Wait. She wants to elope?
Lucas: Yeah, well, that was 20 minutes ago. She probably wants to get married while parachuting out of a plane now.
Nicole: Well, she is a little emotional these days.
Lucas: Yeah, she is. She is. Thank you. That's very insightful of you. Do you know why she's emotional -- what she's emotional about?
Nicole: Well, does it really matter? I'm -- I'm sorry. I really have to go. I got to get sydney home in time for her feeding, and -- sorry.
Lucas: So this is the new little one, huh? Let's have a peek.
Nicole: Well, just a peek. Just a little -- 'cause she's sleeping, lucas.
Lucas: Oh, look at her. She's beautiful.
Nicole: Yeah, I know.
Lucas: You know who she looks like?
Nicole: Johnny. Everyone says that.
Lucas: No, I was gonna say allie. Yeah, she looks exactly like allie did at that age.
Roman: Did you finish that application?
Rafe: Well, not yet, sir.
Roman: Well, that doesn't surprise me. Sami is known as a first-class distraction.
Rafe: Well, I'd better get back to it.
Bo: Hey, look who's back.
Hope: Hey, sami! Oh, my God.
Roman: Oh, I'm glad that's over with.
Hope: You missed me, didn't you?
Roman: Yeah. Oh, bo, hope -- this is rafe hernandez. He was the agent assigned to sami's case.
Hope: Nice to meet you.
Roman: Bo and hope -- rafe.
Rafe: Nice to meet you, too.
Sami: He's gonna be working with you here.
Roman: He might be working here...if he ever finishes his application.
Sami: All right, fine. I don't know why he has to fill out an application. I mean, he saved my life and everything. Good to see you both.
Bo: You too.
Sami: Bye, rafe.
Hope: Welcome home, sami.
Roman: Hope, you got at least 47 forms to fill out on your desk.
Hope: Never thought I'd be so happy to hear someone say I have 47 forms to fill out.
Roman: And, rafe, while you finish up, I need to have a word with bo.
Bo: I'll be in my office.
Hope: Okay. Once you finish your application, I'll show you around the station.
Roman: It's a good report. I was just hoping for something more -- make that connection between the hit man and stefano.
Bo: You think he's keeping something from us?
Roman: Well, I think he doesn't always play by the rules, and I think, in his defending sami, he may have, at times, been proactive, so he can't write down what he wasn't supposed to be doing.
Bo: [Groans] Imagine that. A law-enforcement professional not following orders.
Roman: But I do get the feeling we need to keep an eye on him. He is the kind of guy that can go too far.
Will: You don't want me here, do you?
Chloe: No. I mean, yes.
Will: I'm just here to get my phone, and I'll get out of here, okay?
Chloe: Will, this is your home.
Will: Look, I know you have to try and be nice to me and everything, but [Sighs] I saw the look on your face, okay?
Chloe: No, no. It wasn't about you. I had a fight with your dad earlier.
Will: Great. Tell me all about it. Where is that thing?
Chloe: Um, well, here, why don't you call it?
Will: Thanks. I guess it's not here.
Chloe: Or maybe the ringer's turned off. I can help you look for it.
Will: Nah, it's okay. You got dress stuff to do.
Chloe: Will, listen, um, this may seem like too much information for you, but can i just tell you one thing about the fight?
Will: Do you really think it's any of my business?
Chloe: [Sighs] The thing is, I acted like a jerk and your dad tried to be nice about it and then I acted like an even bigger jerk. And then I took off.
Will: Well, you got a phone. Why don't you just tell him that?
Chloe: Yeah, I'm going to. The problem is...
Chloe: Well, every time I'm sorry about something, he acts --
Will: Like it's his fault and does his whole "I'm such a bad guy" routine.
Chloe: Yeah. We're definitely talking about the same person. So, what do you do when that happens?
Will: Just the same thing you did, I guess. Take off.
Nicole: Why does everyone say a baby has to look like someone else?
Lucas: Don't get all huffy about it. Allie happened to be a beautiful baby.
Nicole: Well, it was really nice to see you, lucas. Chloe's a lucky woman.
Lucas: Thank you.
Nicole: Oh! Look. A good day just got even better.
Sami: You know what? I am not in the mood for you.
Nicole: Really? 'Cause I thought, after our lunch yesterday, we were bffs. Oh, and by the way, E.J. and i had a little talk about what happened at your place, and, uh, his account is different from yours. Shocker!
Nicole: What? You know what? You are so pathetic, sami. I mean, trying to cause trouble, when all E.J. Was trying to do was protect his son.
Lucas: You know what, nicole? You really do have it all, don't you? Beautiful baby, rich fiancÚ, and a bitchy attitude. Sami, I'll see you later.
Sami: Bye, lucas.
Nicole: Well, at least one of your exes is on your side. I wonder if chloe knows how devoted he is.
Sami: Listen to me, nicole. You talked to E.J. How'd it go? You get him to leave me alone? The most of your money. But is a new tax-free saving account the best place to invest your cash? We weigh the pros and the cons. That's coming up tonight at six - only on the news hour. . . . ( Sound of airplane departing )
Daniel: I saw you walk in here. You really want to do that alcohol-poisoning thing again?
Lucas: No, I don'T.
Daniel: You just gonna have a couple 'cause you can handle it now?
Lucas: No, I came here to think about chloe.
Roman: Hernandez did good work. Sami is alive because of him. But you don't like him, do you?
Bo: No, I didn't say that. You said it yourself -- there isn't room for him in the budget.
Roman: All right, well, maybe it's not a great idea, but I do feel like I owe the guy.
Bo: Fine. Then get him a job. Just not here.
Hope: Are you kidding me?
Rafe: Am I kidding? Do I look like I'm kidding? I wouldn't kid about something like that, okay?
Hope: Hey, brady, you're not gonna believe it. He's a first baseman. What does this precinct team need? A first baseman. We are so gonna win the division this year.
Bo: Yeah. You finished with your application?
Rafe: Yep. There you go. I've also taken some night classes. I can get you the transcripts if you want.
Bo: No, there's no need. We'll look at this and give you a call if we need anything else. It was nice meeting you.
Rafe: My pleasure. Thank you.
Rafe: Detective brady.
Hope: Hope. See you around.
Rafe: I hope so.
Hope: I like him. And I love finally being able to take lapinsky off first base.
Bo: Yeah, well, uh, i wouldn't get my hopes up. I'm not sure this is gonna work out.
Hope: Why not? I saw his application. He's everything we -- bo, come on. How can you be jealous of someone I don't even know?
Chloe: So, I guess I'm not the only person who has... trouble communicating with your father.
Will: Well, I just don't like talking about everything as much as he does. I mean, at least if he yelled at me, it would be more like other families.
Chloe: What, he never yells at you?
Will: Like, when I screw up, somehow it's his fault about how he, you know, screwed up raising me or how he can help me.
[Sighs] I mean, he's nice, but it's kind of a drag.
Chloe: He's really nice, and I really love him.
Will: Well, that's good if you're getting married and everything.
Chloe: [Chuckles] Actually, I don't even know now. I told him that I wanted to elope, and that's what we fought about.
Will: Yeah. He wouldn't want that.
Will: [Sighs] Like, coming back here, I just remember that nothing can ever go on without a thousand bradys and a thousand hortons watching everything.
Chloe: And you don't like that?
Will: No, but my dad does.
Chloe: Hey, will, it's really important that you know that I'm not trying to hurt your father in any way.
Will: Well, like I said, you got a phone. Call him.
Lucas: I don't know. It's just crazy. You know? The whole thing is crazy. I mean, one minute our wedding is just full-speed ahead, and the next minute, she wants to elope. And it took me by surprise, you know? I wanted to talk about it, but she didn't want to talk about it at all. She just took off.
Daniel: What, you think it's a bad idea -- eloping?
Lucas: I think it's a bad idea to elope if I don't know why we're doing it. You know? I mean, it's like the same thing. It's the same scenario when she decided to call off the engagement.
Lucas: She's a great girl. She really is, you know? She's real. And she really -- she really feels things, you know?
Daniel: Yeah. Yeah, yeah. No, I get that.
Lucas: I don't know. Maybe just feels like that she can't tell me. Maybe she doesn't know how. I don't know, but one thing's for certain.
Lucas: [Sighs] We just got to be honest with each other, you know? We can't start a relationship like this -- with all these secrets. And I just...wish I knew what i should do.
Daniel: Well, maybe I can help you.
Lucas: What can you do?
Daniel: Tell you the truth.
Chloe: Hmm, still voicemail. He turned his phone off.
Will: You think he's drinking?
Chloe: No, I think he's just mad at me.
Will: I'm sorry. I wish there was something i could do.
Chloe: You know what, will? There is.
Lucas: You're gonna tell me the truth... about women and life?
Daniel: Well, I get that i can't set myself up as an expert on either of those topics, but...yeah, I can talk to you about chloe.
Lucas: Are you an expert on her?
Daniel: Well, I -- you know, I really got to know her when we were all worried about your mom.
Lucas: You did?
Daniel: Yeah. Yeah, she was my patient, and it was a tough time.
Lucas: Did chloe confide in you?
Daniel: No. Well, yeah, I mean, somewhat. But what I meant to say is that just seeing how she handled herself through all of that, we -- we --
Lucas: You know what? Now that I think about it, that's when it all started. Yeah, that's when we had trouble communicating.
Daniel: I'm sorry, lucas.
Lucas: No, you don't have to be -- really. I mean, I'm not jealous at all. It's fine, you know? She needed someone to listen to her, and you were there for her. I was too busy with allie and my mom.
Daniel: Right, well, you know, it was a tough time, like I said.
Lucas: Did she talk about me?
Daniel: Mm. Yeah. Yeah, sure. She did.
Lucas: All right. What'd she say? Come on, man, I can take it.
Daniel: Well, she said a lot. Mostly how much she loves you.
Lucas: But that I was letting her down, right? See? I knew it. I knew it. That's the problem with all these secrets. I mean, I know I screwed up, but I don't know how. And now she wants to elope, and I don't know why.
Daniel: Just -- just now, you said that you and chloe shouldn't have secrets, right?
Lucas: Well, yeah, I mean, if this marriage is gonna work.
Daniel: Well, see, what you said...is dead wrong.
Bo: I'm not jealous of the guy.
Hope: That's why you're scowling, won't hire him -- you liked him so much.
Bo: You can ask roman why we're not hiring right now. It has nothing to do with jealousy.
[Sighs] And I did have another one of those visions.
Hope: I'm sorry. It's so unfair this keeps happening to you.
Bo: Well, it's unfair to both of us.
Hope: You know what? Let's not talk about it here, okay? And let's try not to forget that we were really happy 5 minutes ago.
Hope: I got my job back today.
Bo: Thank God.
Hope: No, thank abe. Hey. That guy rafe -- he's a cop, just like us. He's not gonna be happy doing anything else.
Bo: I understand that. Roman's working on it. He's seeing what he can do.
Rafe: Hernandez. Yes, sir, I did apply at salem P.D. I see. Uh, no, I completely understand. Just -- thank you for letting me know.
[Chuckles] The anti-terror task force. That's, um -- well, that's quite an honor, sir. But I think with my termination from the... okay. Roman brady vouched for me? Right, right. Really? Oh. No, I don't see any problem with that. I could move to New York. No. There's nothing keeping me here.
Nicole: All right, sami, if you want E.J. To back off, then you'd better listen to me. First of all, he's not interested in you, all right? He just doesn't want you involved in some new -- well, i guess I can be nice about it -- relationship with the latest of a long line of losers.
Sami: Rafe is hardly a loser.
Nicole: Whatever. I don't care. It's just -- E.J. Doesn't like him, and he doesn't want a loose canon like that hanging around his son.
Sami: Oh, right, but I have to put up with you being around johnny?
Nicole: And allie. This isn't about me right now. All right, so if you want to force the issue and say that your studmuffin is allowed to hang around johnny, then fine. E.J. Won't back off. What I'm trying to say here is, sami, the ball is in your court. If you want E.J. Off your case, then you're just gonna have to get used to -- well, how shall i say? -- Living like a nun.
Sami: That is not fair.
Nicole: No. No, it's not. Life is not fair, sami. It has its ups and downs. And right now, I am up, and you are down. I have to go. I have a baby to take care of.
Roman: All right, I'm off to court. I talked to a friend of mine in New York about hernandez. We'll see what happens.
Hope: Have fun.
Roman: Well, what is more fun than watching our legal system at work? See you later.
Hope: Remember how much i hated wasting time in court, waiting to testify?
Bo: Sometimes you'd express your frustration...at length and in great detail.
Hope: Well, you know what? This time around, I'm not complaining about anything.
Bo: Right. A cop that doesn't bitch.
Hope: What are you doing? Where are you going?
Bo: Well, something I got to do in private.
Hope: What's that? Ahh.
Bo: Welcome you back.
Nicole: [Sighs] So, Dr. Baker left, and I think I have sami back in her cage. Aah! Mommy's wedding is gonna be perfect -- just perfect. I swear to God.
Rafe: Hey, sami, what's wrong? You sounded upset on the phone. Hey.
Sami: [Crying] I know i shouldn't, and I don't want to, but I need you. I really, really need you.
Will: My parents -- they're supposed to be together, okay?
Chloe: They both moved on. It's not gonna happen.
Kate: I just want to tell him, "she's a conniving little slut, and mommy will not let you marry her."
Sami: I can't calm down, and I can't keep doing this.
Nicole: What do you want? Why are you calling me here?
