Provided By SuzanneDaniel: Look, I can't -- I won't let this end.
Chloe: I'm sorry. I'm sorry I hurt you, but... it's over...forever. Goodbye.
Daniel: The hell with it.
Chloe: Uh, I'm sorry.
Lucas: You do not have to apologize. Will was out of line there.
Chloe: No, you know what? I'll just wait outside.
Will: No, don't. Look, my dad's right. I was out of line. I'm sorry.
Lucas: If you're gonna say something like that, at least look at her, mean it. Come on.
Chloe: Lucas, it's okay. Will, you have a point. I am to blame for a lot of things. I just hope your dad can forgive me. Can you?
What can I do for you?
Daniel: You know what you can do for me? I will have a scotch. You know, make that a double.
Chelsea: Hey, Stu. Have you seen Max?
Hey. Yeah, he's in back doing inventory.
Daniel: Ah. Thank you. Thank you.
Chelsea: Hey, Daniel.
Daniel: Well, hey there, stranger.
Chelsea: Drinking alone, huh?
Daniel: Well, I was until you showed up. You know what? Um...I'm really bad company tonight, so you would be much better off if you just turned around and pretend you didn't see me.
Chelsea: Right, but I did, so I kind of want to know what's going on.
Daniel: Nothing. Nothing. Look, Chelsea --
Chelsea: I'm not leaving here until you tell me, Daniel.
Nicole: Oh, Mary.
Mary: Yes, ma'am.
Nicole: Have you seen E.J. around?
Mary: He said he was going over to Marlena Evans' house.
Nicole: Yes, of course. He told me that and it slipped my mind. Sorry to bother you. Hmm. So, daddy snuck out to talk to Marlena. Oh, but wait. Marlena's out of town. Who could he have gone to see? Sami.
E.J.: Maybe I shouldn't marry Nicole. I have an idea. What if I made her worst nightmare come true...and married you?
Sami: [Chuckles] Yeah [Clears throat] Right. That's what I want more than anything, especially since it worked so well the last time.
E.J.: You know what I think, Samantha?
E.J.: I think you're jealous.
Sami: "Jealous"? Why would I possibly be jealous?
E.J.: Because Nicole has me and you don't.
Sami: Wow. Talk about arrogant.
E.J.: No, I mean, I can see that you'd be a little bit hurt. I mean, you're alone. Nicole's with the man of your dreams.
Sami: Stop it. Don't be stupid. This isn't funny.
E.J.: And it's none of your business.
Sami: I think you're wrong. It is my business. You're the father of my children.
E.J.: Oh, really? Did I miss something?
Sami: I mean, I just -- you know what I mean.
E.J.: Yeah, let me check. Even in your mangled version of English, children is still plural.
Sami: All right, it's just that they're twins, you know, and so I sort of think of you and Lucas as like co-fathers, kind of.
E.J.: Okay. Samantha, I-I love Allie as if she were my own. And I care about you very much. But if you start engaging in some quarrel with Nicole, you're going to do a lot of damage. Because right now, we have a really good relationship, okay? You can spoil that, and that's not gonna be fair to the kids.
[Cellphone rings] Sorry. If this is Nicole, I have to take it. It's Nicole.
Sami: There are none so blind.
E.J.: Hey, sweetheart. We were just talking about you.
Nicole: And whom were you having that little talk with?
Will: I'm gonna go get something to eat.
Lucas: Good idea.
Chloe: Hey, I didn't mean to run you off.
Will: No, it's okay. I'm really hungry.
Chloe: I think I embarrassed him.
Lucas: No, you didn't. He'll be fine, really.
Chloe: Lucas, look, I can understand if you don't want to talk about it, if you just want me to go.
Lucas: No, no, I want you to stay, please. There's something I want to say. It's important. It's about what happened with my drinking. I don't want you to feel like you did anything wrong here. You're not to blame. I made the choice to take a drink.
Chloe: Well, before you started drinking, what I did --
Lucas: Well, you were trying to be honest with me. You were trying to tell me how you felt, and I didn't even listen. I acted like an idiot. I didn't even let you tell me why you wanted to back out, but now -- now I think I know why.
Lucas: I took you for granted. I did. I just -- I assumed because we were engaged that you were always gonna be there. And I spent a lot of time focusing on Allie and my mother.
Chloe: You didn't do anything wrong.
Lucas: Well, obviously I wasn't doing that much right, was I? But I want to make it better. I want another chance. You know, I promise I'll listen more and I'll pay more attention to you.
Chloe: I want another chance, too.
Lucas: You don't need another chance. Come on, you're perfect. You're perfect the way you are.
Chloe: Don't say that. It's not true.
Lucas: It is true.
Chloe: But you know what? We -- we can both change. I'm going to change.
Lucas: So this means you're back? This means we're back together again?
Chloe: We're gonna be happy. I know it. I swear it. I swear to God.
Daniel: Trust me, Chelsea, you don't want to hear about my life any more than I want to talk about it.
Max: Hey, Chelse. Dr. Jonas.
Max: Hey, check out this text I just got.
Chelsea: Wow, that is so interesting and kind of juvenile. Don't you think? We have some friends that aren't really ready to grow up yet.
Daniel: They're lucky. You know what? I got to go make a phone call. Fill it up.
Chelsea: There's something bothering him.
Max: Yeah, I know. And I'm a bartender. Drinking is my expertise. So right now, you don't want to be talking to him.
Chelsea: Max, it's not like he's drunk or anything.
Max: No, I didn't say that, but you were right about earlier. Something really is bothering him, and the way he's knocking them back -- trust me on this. He's a ticking time bomb.
Chloe: Hi, you've reached Chloe. I'm not available right now, but please leave a message after the beep. Thanks.
Daniel: Chloe, I-I --
[Sighs] Screw it.
E.J.: I'm at Samantha's house.
Sami: Wow, you're a brave man telling her the truth.
Nicole: So, you left the house, your baby, to talk to Sami. Have you heard about phones?
E.J.: Well, no, sweetheart. Johnny left his penguin at our house, so I had to bring him over here. He doesn't sleep without it.
Sami: Oh, did you forget to ask for permission? Did you break curfew, E.J.?
E.J.: Samantha, would you please stop it?
E.J.: Darling, you'll be very happy to hear that despite her rather horrendous ordeal, Samantha is just as annoying as ever she was.
Nicole: Well, I wish you had told me you left the house.
E.J.: I told Mary.
Nicole: Yes, I know.
E.J.: Okay, look, we can talk about this when I get home, okay? I'll be back shortly.
Nicole: Right. Sorry to have bothered you.
E.J.: But I didn't say --
Sami: Ooh. Is she gonna be waiting at the door with a rolling pin, ready to lay down the law?
E.J.: You know what, Samantha? She just had a baby, okay? And if you remember what having a baby is like, then maybe you can cut her some slack. It's kind of a big deal. Well, I'm sorry, okay? Sometimes women who just had babies get treated with a little bit of patience and sympathy, or have you forgotten what it's like to raise a newborn? Samantha, what is wrong with you?
Nicole: Mary, if you could give her her bath and her bottle, that would be great.
Mary: I thought you and Mr. DiMera --
Nicole: Yes, we had last-minute changes in plans, so you be good for mommy, okay? I'll come give you a kiss good night later. Night! I'm sure you're right, E.J. Sami, you haven't changed a bit. You are not taking E.J. You are not taking Sydney away from me... no matter what.
Max: So, just out of curiosity, you know, what did he say when you asked him what was wrong?
Chelsea: That he didn't want to talk about it.
Max: Oh, and you took that to mean...
Chelsea: That I had to push harder.
Max: Great. Oh, look, he's coming back, and he doesn't look any happier than when he left earlier.
Chelsea: Doesn't matter if he wants to or not, 'cause I'll make him happier. Hey.
Daniel: Oh, hey. Look, Chelsea, I asked you really nicely if you could just -- please just leave me alone, okay?
Chelsea: Not until you tell me what's bothering you.
Daniel: Mm. Nothing. Nothing's bothering me.
Chelsea: All right. A simpler question, then. Who did you just call?
Chloe: You know what I want? I want you out of here, I want us back in the cabin with Allie, and I want it to be like the last month never even happened.
Lucas: Well, I don't know if I can do that.
Chloe: Why? What, you can't forgive me?
Lucas: No, that's not what I mean. It's just I don't want the same thing to happen again, so... we have to be honest with each other about everything. Means you got to tell me, you know, when you're feeling something. You got to tell me even if you think it's gonna hurt me. You promise?
Lucas: You got to keep that promise. I've been lying here trying to figure out why I decided to drink when you told me that you didn't want to get married to me. It's just the fact that you were unhappy and I didn't even know it. That kills me. You were trying to tell me and I wouldn't listen.
Chloe: No, that's not it.
Lucas: I promise, from now on, I'll be there for you. You could tell me anything, okay? Anything at all.
Chloe: Lucas, stop it. You're acting like all this was your fault, and it wasn't. It was me.
Lucas: Wa-- I'm sorry. I just don't see it that way.
Chloe: It's the truth. You almost died because of me. I'm the one to blame for that.
E.J.: Are you crying?
Sami: No. No.
E.J.: Samantha, when you were away, did something happen to you, something I don't know about?
E.J.: Okay. Then why is it...that you just seem to fall apart every time I talk about Nicole and -- ah.
Sami: "Ah"? Ah what?
E.J.: It's the baby, isn't it? Every time I talk about Nicole and the baby...
Sami: Look, let's change the subject, okay? I'm not jealous of Nicole or her life or -- or anything, okay? No matter what you think. If anything, I'm upset because I am worried about your daughter.
Sami: I mean, come on. She has Nicole for a mother, which is bad enough, but she's gonna be raised in that mausoleum with your father presiding over her upbringing.
E.J.: Enough, all right? Stop it. Samantha, we have a son together, okay? So it's really important that we find a way to get along. You cannot attack Nicole, all right? You cannot pass judgment over how we raise our daughter.
Sami: Nothing. No, nothing. You're right. We all have to do what we think is best for our children.
Daniel: Chelsea, look at that guy over there working. That one right there. He is gonna be a lot more fun than me. I can promise you that.
Chelsea: So you don't want to talk to me. Does this have something to do with my grandmother? Is that why you're upset?
Daniel: You don't know.
Chelsea: I don't know what?
Daniel: I never even called you. You're her -- oh, okay. You know what? I have got some great news. Kate is in remission. She's cancer-free.
Chelsea: Oh, my God. Thank you. Oh, my God, Daniel. That is great. Thank you so, so, so much. Thank you.
Looks like your new girlfriend's trading up.
Lucas: Listen, I just have a small favor to ask you, okay?
Lucas: While I'm working on getting sober, maybe you can try not to act so...you know, crazy.
Chloe: [Chuckles] Funny.
Lucas: I'm serious. This whole guilt thing is just ridiculous. You didn't make me drink, and you had nothing to do with that explosion, all right? It was an accident.
Chloe: Yeah, well, you were drinking because --
Lucas: I was drinking so much.
Lucas: I-I just -- I can't believe how much I drank. Why was I at Daniel's apartment? I mean, why would I even go there? Was I so drunk that I thought I still live there?
Chloe: I don't know.
Lucas: Anyway, it doesn't matter. I don't want to talk about it. The important thing is you're not responsible, okay? This is not your fault, so stop acting like it is.
Sorry. Need to take some vitals.
Chloe: Okay. Oh. Oh, it's Nicole. I'll be right back.
Lucas: All right.
Chloe: Hey, what's up?
Nicole: Hi, Chloe. Can you come over?
Chloe: Why? What's wrong? You sound terrible.
Nicole: It's Sami, all right? I just -- I need to talk or I'm gonna start screaming.
Chloe: Isn't E.J. There?
Nicole: He's with Sami. That's why I'm gonna start screaming.
Chloe: Oh, well, um, I'm at the hospital right now with Lucas, but I'll be there as soon as I can. Nicole, she can't do anything to you.
Nicole: You want to bet?
He's all yours.
Chloe: Oh, thanks. Um, okay, well, uh, I will be there as soon as I can, all right? Okay, I'll see you soon.
Lucas: Be where?
Chloe: Oh. It's Nicole. She's freaking out about Sami.
Lucas: Oh, that's new. Some things never change, right?
Chloe: Wait a minute. She knows that Sami's back, and she said that E.J.'S with her right now, but she didn't say anything about the baby. How could that be?
Lucas: Sami lost that baby.
Chloe: Oh. Oh, my God. That's -- that's awful.
Lucas: Yeah, but, Chloe, you can't say anything, all right? If anyone found out about Sami and E.J...
Will: Found out what about mom and E.J.?
E.J.: Are you all right?
Sami: Yeah, of course. I'm fine.
E.J.: I don't believe you. Samantha, you've been through this terrible ordeal, you come back, you find your mother's gone.
Sami: You know what? Don't be nice to me, E.J. It's so much easier for me when we're fighting.
E.J.: I don't want to fight.
Sami: Oh, right. You just want to marry evil incarnate, but even though she's gonna be around my son, I don't get to have an opinion about her anymore.
E.J.: Samantha, I'm not gonna let Nicole harm our son.
Sami: I know that. I mean, if you saw her doing something to hurt him, I'm sure you would stop her, but you don't see it. Just like you can't see the truth about your father.
E.J.: Oh, let's just say I'm a little bit more wiser to him than I was.
Sami: But you think it's okay for Johnny to live there in that house.
E.J.: "That house"? Samantha, it's a house, okay? There are people who live in it. Now, granted, they're a little bit...eccentric, but they all love Johnny. They love Sydney.
Sami: Right, and he's busy grooming them to be the next generation of DiMera. And you think it's funny.
E.J.: In a way. Nicole has exactly the same concerns. She voiced them to my father.
Sami: Okay, well, that's not what she said to me. So if she did voice those concerns, she was doing it for your benefit. E.J., She wants to be a DiMera wife. She wants to be the devoted mother and wife, so she's playing it to the hilt for your benefit.
E.J.: Enough, all right? I don't know where you get off judging her. You have absolutely no idea what you would do if you were in the same position.
Sami: Actually, E.J., I do.
Chelsea: Thank you.
Max: Well, when I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I mean, I said he didn't want any company.
Chelsea: Max, I just got the best news. My Grandma's in remission. The cancer's gone.
Max: Wow, that's awesome. I'm -- that's really great news. That's great.
Chelsea: Does Chloe know?
Daniel: Yeah, yeah. No, I told her.
Chelsea: Good. My family, we owe her so much.
Daniel: Yeah, I'll bet.
Max: Well, I'm sorry. I got to, you know, get back to work and stuff, and that's great news.
Chelsea: Oh, it's amazing news. Though you look like you lost your best friend, still, so...
Daniel: No, no, no. I'm just -- it's one of those nights, you know, where you're wondering...
Chelsea: You're wondering what?
Daniel: I don't know. What kind of -- what kind of person I am, what kind of man... I am. That's all. It's just...
Chelsea: That's all? That's -- that's deep. What got you thinking that?
Daniel: You. Actually, you had a lot to do with it.
Will: What's going on between mom and E.J.?
Chloe: You know what? I told Nicole that I would drop by, and I think you two should talk. Uh, have a good night. If you need anything, call me. And it's really good that you're back, will. Okay, bye, guys.
Lucas: Bye, honey.
Will: She almost sounded like she meant that.
Lucas: She did mean it. She loves me, and she knows how much I missed you.
Will: Right, right. So, let's talk about what you don't want to talk about -- mom and E.J.
Lucas: Well, they -- they were, you know -- they were living together. Your mom and E.J. Were spending a lot of time together.
Will: Why do you think I stayed in Europe?
Lucas: Yeah, yeah, I know.
Will: Is something going on between mom and that jerk?
Sami: Oh, my God. I'm pregnant with E.J.'S baby. What am I gonna do?
Lucas: Um...it's because of Johnny. That's why they're spending so much time together, because of him, and I know how you feel about E.J. You know, I was just, uh -- I was just warning Chloe to be aware that E.J. Has issues with you.
Will: I get it. You're scared. You're scared I'm gonna shoot E.J. In the back, right?
Nicole: So, you dumped Daniel?
Chloe: Yeah, I called it off. It's over.
Nicole: Because all of a sudden the man who drove you wild just doesn't do it for you anymore?
Nicole: Or is it because Lucas literally crashed and burned, you find him irresistible again?
Chloe: Nicole, I came over here because you said you needed to talk to me.
Nicole: I know, I know, but you just can't flip a switch and those feelings for Daniel will just go away.
Chloe: Okay, leaving.
Nicole: All right, all right, all right, okay. I'm sorry. I just want you to be happy and do what's best for you.
Chloe: I know, and that's what I'm trying to do. You didn't see Lucas. He was dead. He had no pulse, no heartbeat, and I just -- I prayed to God and I-I asked him if he could let him live, I would do the right thing.
Nicole: So God told you to leave Daniel? Did he call, send a telegram?
Chloe: This is not funny.
Nicole: I know it's not funny, but, Chloe, this is about your happiness, long-term happiness.
Chloe: Lucas started drinking because I left him, and then he found out about Daniel and me.
Nicole: And he's still taking you back?
Chloe: Well, he doesn't remember anything.
Nicole: Because of the explosion.
Chloe: No, I think it was God.
Nicole: Wow, who are you, and what have you done with my Chloe?
Chloe: Nicole, stop, okay? I'm leaving if we don't stop talking about me, all right?
Nicole: All right. Look, this is about Sami, all right, again. Yet again -- surprise, surprise -- E.J. Has dropped everything and ran to her all because Johnny left a toy here. I mean, imagine what he'll do if she tells him about the baby.
Chloe: I don't think that you have to worry about Sami or that baby ever again.
E.J.: Look, I-I just -- I have a feeling that there's something that you're not telling me.
Sami: E.J., It's been a difficult couple months for me. Someone was trying to kill me. Someone who was protecting me got killed. Someone else, he almost got himself killed, and when things like that happen to you, you start thinking about the big picture, like what would happen to your kids if -- if you were gone.
E.J.: Well, thank God that didn't happen. I'm sorry you had to go through that.
Sami: Well, it was a change of pace.
E.J.: You're not the same person who went in there, are you?
Sami: No. No, I'm not. Look, I know Nicole and I have a history. And I know that this just sounds like more of the same, but it's not. You've made it clear that she has your heart, she has your child, and, E.J., That makes you vulnerable. And I know Nicole hurts people, and I don't want to see you get hurt.
E.J.: Samantha, you don't need to worry about me.
Sami: But I do. Because a part of me will always love you.
Lucas: I really don't think that's anything to joke about, will.
Will: I wasn't joking. That's what you're worried about, isn't it? Somehow I inherited your homicidal tendencies.
Lucas: I'm just worried that you're --
Lucas: You know what? I-I don't think I'm in a position to lecture you right now, sitting in a hospital bed with alcohol poisoning. And I didn't want you to come back to such a mess. I didn't want that for you.
Will: Well, it looks like you're trying to clean that mess up. So I'll try to help.
Lucas: Yeah? Thank you.
Will: And if you and mom were leading, like, you know, normal lives, just wouldn't feel like home.
Lucas: Yeah, you're right about that. So does that mean you're gonna stay for a while?
Will: I guess.
Lucas: Good. 'Cause there's something I want you to do for me.
Nicole: Why would you say that, Chloe? Why don't I have to worry about Sami?
Chloe: Okay, you can't tell Lucas that I told you.
Nicole: You haven't told me anything.
Chloe: Sami told him that she lost the baby.
Nicole: What? She said that?
Nicole: Well...isn't that something?
Chloe: Nicole, I know you don't like her and neither do I, but she lost her baby. That's really sad.
Nicole: Yeah, it is.
Sami: Thank you again so much for taking care of my daughter. I mean, you're a saint.
Nicole: It's just so hard to believe.
Chloe: Well, she doesn't want anyone to find out, so you don't have to worry about E.J. Finding out.
Nicole: No. No, I was scared that she was telling E.J. about the baby tonight.
Chloe: Well, now you don't have to be.
Nicole: So, what are they talking about?
E.J.: Wow. You're not gonna believe what I thought I heard you just say.
Sami: [Chuckles] Well, don't get carried away because that statement is very, very qualified.
E.J.: Oh, I'll take what I can get. I thought you flat-out hated me.
Sami: No, I don't hate you, but the fact that I care about you has never made me blind to the fact that you're a DiMera and always will be. E.J., You can't put your guard down around them.
E.J.: Well, Nicole doesn't seem to think so.
Sami: Yeah, well, Nicole is... no. No, I am not going to say nasty things about Nicole anymore.
E.J.: Right, I believe that one.
Sami: It's true, E.J. I won't, as long as you'll do something for me that is very, very important to me.
E.J.: What's that?
Sami: You have to protect Johnny. You can't let him turn out like one of them.
E.J.: I'm sorry, Samantha, but, um, when it comes to our son, he's on his own.
Chelsea: Me? What did I have to do with it?
Daniel: Well, it didn't really hit me at first, but I have screwed up the life of a very decent person. That would be you.
Daniel: Yeah. I think I've hurt a lot of people, and I'm just not sure I know that guy.
Chelsea: Well, that guy, um, he's all right, I guess. He's just having a bad night.
Daniel: Ah, is that what it is? Yeah. Well, why don't you do me a favor, all right?
Daniel: Don't have a bad night with me, all right? You need to take off with Max and go celebrate all this great news about Kate, and do not think a single thought about me.
Chelsea: Okay. Under one condition.
Daniel: Oh, come on.
Chelsea: That's your last one.
Daniel: Hmm. So Max -- you really like him, huh?
Chelsea: Yeah, I do.
Daniel: Well, he is one lucky man.
Chloe: Wait, you're gonna call E.J.?
Nicole: Yeah, I mean, he said he would be right home. I mean, how long does it take to give someone a stuffed penguin?
Chloe: Don't do it, Nicole. Don't nag him. Don't act like it bothers you.
Nicole: But it does bother me. I mean, the more time he spends with Sami, the more time she has to work on him.
Chloe: Nicole, you have his ring, you have his baby, and he loves you, all right? You have all the trumps, and the only thing that's gonna blow it is you not being the woman he fell in love with.
Nicole: Okay, yeah, but --
Chloe: No buts, okay? You are self-confident and non-shrewish Nicole and Sami doesn't bother you at all.
Nicole: You're right. I can't let her get to me. You know, E.J. Is just being nice to her because of Johnny.
Chloe: Exactly. Listen, you've won, all right? There's nothing that Sami can do to make E.J. Change his mind about you.
Sami: You're not even gonna try to protect your son from your father?
E.J.: Samantha, you know that small part of me that you actually like?
Sami: I was obviously wrong. There isn't any.
E.J.: I think -- I think I know where that part is. I think it's the part of me that resisted my father when he was trying to turn me into, you know, "a DiMera." Now...if we try and mold Johnny into this thing or that thing, that's not our job. Out job is to just let him grow up naturally. If I try and protect him from my father, don't allow him to decide whether he wants to be a DiMera, we're gonna have problems, 'cause he is a DiMera. You can't hide that.
Sami: You've been thinking about this a lot, haven't you?
E.J.: Yeah. Yeah, a lot. Look, he's my son, okay? Same thing goes for my daughter. If they want to join the family, be, you know, in the business, they can do that. But if they want to go and, you know, join the peace corps, become musicians, join the circus -- I don't know -- that's entirely up to them.
Sami: All right, that small part of you that I like is back.
E.J.: Now, they have you and me in their corner, but whatever they do is up to them.
Sami: E.J., It's like I'm seeing a side of you that I never got the chance to meet.
E.J.: Well, you didn't really allow me to show it to you, Samantha.
Chelsea: All right, so, take two aspirin and call me in the morning.
Daniel: Ah, you learn well. And you, you have some fun, and you get out of here with that guy.
Chelsea: You're not driving, right? You gonna take a taxi?
Daniel: No, no, no. Unless you take my shoes, I'm -- I'm walking. 'Cause I need some air. Good night.
Max: You guys had quite the talk.
Chelsea: Yeah, it's weird. We didn't even talk like that when we were, you know.
Max: That's fine, yeah. It's not like we both don't have pasts, right?
Chelsea: Do you know what he made me promise him?
Chelsea: That I would have fun with you tonight.
Max: That's funny coming from Dr. Laughs a lot.
Chelsea: Hey, he saved my grandmother.
Max: Yeah. Well, I, uh, cleaned up the stock room, and I tapped a new keg of beer.
Chelsea: Oh, my hero. So, it, uh, looks like you might be off duty soon.
Max: Yep. Anything special you want to do?
Chelsea: I don't know. You know, I was thinking about a couple things, but one in particular.
Daniel: Chloe, you did the right thing. You did the right thing.
Lucas: So, any idea how long you plan on sticking around? I mean, I know it's my call, but I'd like to make you think you have a choice, you know.
Will: Well, I was planning on finishing out the semester at Salem high. Why?
Lucas: Well, good. You know, I don't want to change your plans or anything. But if you're gonna stick around...
Will: Why? So you want me to do something for you? What is it?
Lucas: I want you to be my best man when I marry Chloe. What? You got a problem with that?
Will: No, why should I? Just tell me when and where.
Lucas: Well, wait a minute. We could talk about it for a second.
Will: Good night, dad. See you in the morning.
Lucas: Come on, man. Don't do that.
[Sighs] Well, that went well.
Chloe: Look, why don't you try to get some sleep and calm down?
Nicole: Okay, I will.
Chloe: And, hey, just remember -- the best thing to do right now is nothing.
Nicole: Okay. Thank you for coming over.
[Both chuckle] See you later.
Nicole: Just do nothing. Yeah, that is so not my style.
Sami: You know what, E.J.? I'm glad we talked. I feel a lot better.
E.J.: I hope so. I know what you've been through. I don't want you to be worried about Johnny.
Sami: Thanks. Speaking of, I should probably check on them, make sure they haven't fallen out of bed or anything.
E.J.: Right, sure.
Sami: Yeah, and you should probably get home. You don't want Nicole to have your head on a platter.
E.J.: I told you, she's not like that.
[Knock on door]
E.J.: There's somebody at the door, Samantha. Uh, hi. Can I help you?
Rafe: Um, yeah, sorry. I thought that --
Sami: Who is it? I -- oh.
Rafe: Hey, Sami.
Sami: Hi! What are you doing here?
Bo: You were in a bed, making love to another man.
Chelsea: You're asking me to trust you.
Nicole: Wait a minute. Maybe it doesn't have to be this way.
Sami: Just be careful, okay?
