Philip: Hey, Stephanie. I called the hospital, said your mom's doing great.
Stephanie: Yeah, they took her out of intensive care.
Philip: That is great. Hey, but you still need to be with her whenever you can, so no work today.
Stephanie: I'm only gonna be here a minute. I-I just, um -- I wanted to see you.
Philip: I wanted to see you, too. What's up?
Stephanie: Well, I wanted to tell you... I wanted to thank you again for getting me to the hospital and staying with me last night. Having you there was about the only thing holding me together.
Philip: I'm glad I could do it. It was a tough night all around.
Stephanie: Before all that happened, though, at your place. I was really happy. And I meant what I said.
Philip: I did, too. I meant it. I mean it. I...I'm falling in love with you.
Stephanie: And I'm falling in love with you.
Philip: Stephanie... I hope you don't feel guilty or anything.
Stephanie: For what?
Philip: Only because of what we were doing when you got the call about your mom. I hope you don't have any regrets.
Stephanie: Philip, I don't regret anything.
Melanie: Who cares if Philip and Stephanie are doing it. I sure as hell don't. [Chuckles] I just care about shaking things up. Like now, for instance.
Victor: All right, what's this I hear about Melanie Layton getting squirrelly? Is she planning on moving the alternative-fuel project to another company or not?
Brady: Philip thinks it's possible. I think, while there's probably been some contact by the DiMeras, I think she's still in our camp.
Victor: I wish there was some way to teach you.
Brady: Teach me?
Victor: How not to let a woman fool you. Oh, don't get me wrong. I thought little miss Layton was a charmer right from the start, but she's also the kind of woman I've known all too often in my life, and so have you.
Brady: Meaning what?
Victor: The kind who love to bring a man down.
Lucas: Aunt Maggie.
Lucas: Hey, how you doing?
Maggie: Fine, thanks.
Lucas: Are you here to see Kayla?
Maggie: Uh, yes.
Lucas: I brought some flowers for her, and then I heard that Chloe was here. Have you seen her?
Maggie: Uh, yes, but she, uh -- she left.
Lucas: Man, that's too bad.
Maggie: Well, actually, I've been meaning to talk to you about Chloe. There are, um -- there are some things that I feel that you should know.
Lucas: I-I don't understand. What do you mean -- things I should know about Chloe?
Maggie: Well, this isn't easy, Lucas, but...it just simply has to be said.
Lexie: Congratulations, young brother.
E.J.: Mwah! Thank you. What a surprise.
Lexie: How's the new father? And why didn't you call me?
E.J.: Okay, the new father is overjoyed.
E.J.: And I couldn't call you because I've been so busy. This is the first time I've let her out of my sight.
Lexie: Oh, let me guess -- she's gorgeous, right?
E.J.: Lexie, she is beyond perfection -- beyond.
Lexie: I can't wait to see her. I was just about to go over and get my first peek. Now we can go together.
E.J.: Um, actually, you know, I'm not sure if now is the best time.
Chloe: Nicole, what did you do?
Nicole: You are not Sami's baby. Mnh-mnh. You are mine and E.J.'s. Sami can have that other baby.
Chloe: Nicole, you can't just leave something like that hanging. What did you do?
Nicole: Uh...I did something...wonderful.
Chloe: Nicole, come on. What did you do?
Lucas: Aunt Maggie, why are you so serious? Chloe and I, we've gotten everything out on the table. Really, I mean, we both had our shady pasts, to say the least, but we're fine. There are no problems between us, really.
Kate: Daniel? Hey. I was just looking for you. I needed to -- I'm sorry. There's Lucas. Just one sec.
Lucas: I mean, if there's something you want to tell me, go ahead and tell me, but I can assure you, I've heard it from Chloe already herself.
Maggie: I don't think you have heard this.
Chloe: Come on, Nicole. I spilled my guts. I mean, what's with the secrets?
Nicole: It's not like that.
Chloe: Well, then, what is it? What, are you afraid of something?
Nicole: No, I-I'm not.
Chloe: Bull, there's something that's bothering you.
Nicole: It's just that, you know, so much has happened.
Chloe: Yeah, and? Oh, wait. This has something to do with Sami, doesn't it?
Chloe: Wait. What? Does -- does your baby have something to do with Sami?
Nicole: Yeah, she does. Everything.
Lucas: Hey, mom.
Maggie: Hi, Kate.
Kate: Hi, Maggie. Aren't you supposed to be meeting me at Cheatin' Heart in, say, um, two minutes?
Lucas: Yeah, but I think we're both gonna be late. Let's hope Chloe doesn't show up mad when she gets there.
Kate: Well, I wouldn't worry about the bride-to-be 'cause she's probably be late as well.
Lucas: I don't know about that. Maggie just told me she just left.
Lucas: And you were interrupting us. Aunt Maggie was gonna tell me something private between us and you came up and...
Kate: [Laughing] I am sorry.
Maggie: That's all right.
Kate: No, I'm gone. I will meet you there, and we are going to make a decision about this date today.
Lucas: All right.
[Cellphone ringing] She is really anxious about setting that date.
Lucas: Considering her health, we want to move things along as quickly as possible. You know what? I got to take this, all right? Excuse me one second.
Kate: Boy, I tell you, I got some bad news today that could destroy Lucas' future with Chloe.
Lucas: Yeah, yeah. I'll take care of it. Soon as possible. Okay, thanks. Sorry about that. What were you saying?
Maggie: [Chuckles] You know, I had forgotten that you were setting your wedding date today.
Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, that's the plan. Why? Is that what you have a problem with?
Melanie: Hey, how's your mom?
Stephanie: Fine. Uh, lots better. I'm going to see her now.
Melanie: I'm glad she's doing okay. I'm glad for you, too, Steph. Hello, Philip.
Philip: Hello, Melanie. I guess we're about to have that meeting we talked about, huh? It's my pleasure, all the way. Why don't we step into my office?
Melanie: Actually, we don't need to have that meeting.
Philip: We don't?
Melanie: Yeah, there's -- there's nothing to discuss. I'm having second thoughts about Titan.
Philip: "Second thoughts"?
Melanie: Yeah, about having my project stay here.
Philip: Want to tell me why?
Melanie: Okay, I don't want to be mean, and it cuts me, really, to say this to your face, but I'm worried about the lack of professionalism around here.
Philip: Do tell.
Melanie: And I think that later on down the road that's really gonna hurt my project's chances. [Clears throat] So I'm seriously considering if Titan is -- is the right company for the job.
Philip: All right, Melanie, what the hell is this all about?
Melanie: Oh, you want a for instance? Okay, why is everything going so slow in the lab? Why is it that every time a decision has to be made, it takes like two weeks? And here we go -- how come whenever I walk into the building in, like, the middle of a work day, instead of seeing Titan's C.E.O. Hard at work, I see your little sex kitten leaving?
E.J.: So, I heard about Kayla Johnson. I understand you had some part in saving her life.
Lexie: Well, I wasn't the surgeon, but I did assist. Thank God everything worked out all right.
E.J.: Indeed. And this was the same incident where the mayor's killer was shot.
Lexie: Yeah. Oh, my goodness. It just all happened in the blink of an eye. I'd rather not talk about it, okay?
E.J.: No, no, I completely understand. Actually, the only reason that I bring it up is that, with this killer now being dead, there's a pretty good chance, I'd imagine, they're gonna let Samantha out of protective custody. So I need to go home and have a private chat with Nicole about that.
Lexie: Okay. So, how do you feel about Sami coming home?
E.J.: [Chuckles] I'm sure Johnny's gonna be thrilled. I'd imagine Samantha would be very happy about it.
Lexie: How do you feel?
E.J.: I, um... I wish her the best. That's all.
Lexie: But you're worried that Nicole is going to feel threatened.
E.J.: No, I mean, I would hope that Nicole would understand that my family was now with her. I mean, our daughter. Samantha is Johnny's mother, nothing more.
Lexie: Okay, well, if you feel that strongly, why don't you just go ahead and marry Nicole?
Nicole: Look, Chloe, you know how upset I was when I found out that Sami was pregnant with E.J.'S baby.
Chloe: Oh, come on, Nicole. You said you'd forgiven me for not telling you sooner.
Nicole: No, I have. That's not what I'm talking about.
Chloe: Well, then, what?
Nicole: Actually, I'm glad you didn't call me sooner because I probably would have done things differently. Never mind. You know what? You told me, and now...things are a lot clearer for me.
Chloe: What things? Wait, you didn't tell E.J., Did you?
Nicole: Oh, of course not. He doesn't know that Sami was pregnant -- or is pregnant. I mean, I have no idea if she even delivered, but...hmm. If I know that witch as well as I think I do, she will never tell him that it's his baby.
Chloe: Okay, I'm lost. I mean, that's Sami's secret, but it'll actually be good for you, so what are you so upset about?
Nicole: I'm keeping this secret, too. And I hate doing that to E.J. Because we're supposed to share everything together, but that's just not gonna happen. There's no way.
Chloe: Well, of course there's no way. Hey, if you ever need any help or anything from me, you know I'm always here for you.
Nicole: Actually, I-I do. I-I need one last favor and then everything will be perfect for E.J. and me.
Kate: So, with Sami coming home, I mean, what is that going to do to Lucas and Chloe? He's happier than he's ever been before. I just can't let her come back and destroy that. I can't do it.
Daniel: Well, you can't control everything, Kate. You really should be ready, because if Chloe has second thoughts about this marriage for any reason --
Kate: Don't even say that.
Miss Roberts, we need you for your blood work now.
Kate: Okay, thank you. Sorry. I-I don't even know why I dumped all of this on you.
Daniel: No, I'm sorry. I couldn't be more help.
Kate: Yeah, it's probably because I wouldn't let you say what you really think, right?
Kate: But I know deep down you really want what's best for me and for Lucas, right?
Maggie: I guess what I'm saying, Lucas, is that you and Chloe don't know each other all that well. And sometimes when people don't know each other well enough, there's --
Lucas: Maggie, we know each other to the core, all right? We're fine. Everything's okay.
Maggie: I know, I know, but, you know, there's always a --
Lucas: Listen, Chloe loves me, and I love her. So please try to understand, okay? Everything is fine.
Nicole: Chloe, the main thing is you -- you can't tell anyone ever that you told me Sami is carrying E.J.'S baby.
Chloe: That's easy. Sure, I promise.
Nicole: I mean, Sami is long gone from Salem for good, hopefully. But even if she does come back, E.J. Can't find out that I kept this secret from him.
Chloe: Yeah, I don't think he'd be too thrilled with that. Hey, I don't think you need to be so paranoid about E.J. and Sami. They're old news.
Nicole: Whoa, whoa, Chloe. Listen to me -- I have clawed and scratched my way to build this life for myself, for my baby, for E.J. and if he finds out that I kept this from him, it will all disappear. Please promise me.
Chloe: Trust me, my lips are sealed.
Nicole: Thank you.
Chloe: Of course. Besides, who would I tell anyway? Lucas? Yeah, he would be really thrilled with me for blabbing to you. Ugh, of course, if I don't end this thing with Daniel...
Nicole: Wait, whoa. Remember what I said -- everything's under your control.
Chloe: Yeah, well, my mind keeps telling me that, but then when I see Daniel...
Nicole: Okay. Everything's in your hands, Chloe. All you have to do is decide and then make it happen.
Chloe: Yeah. Hey, thanks. Beautiful baby. Congrats. Okay, I got to go.
Nicole: Okay, all right. I'll see you later. Remember -- you're in control of everything. Bye, honey.
Philip: All right, for starters, Stephanie's not my sex kitten. Nor is it appropriate for you to speak of her that way.
Melanie: I'm sorry. I thought that would be, like, a compliment.
Philip: Secondly, she has nothing to do with the alternative-fuels project Titan is developing.
Melanie: Which I own.
Philip: Which we optioned.
Melanie: Which expires in like a week.
Philip: When it will automatically renew. Didn't you get the memo?
Melanie: Whose job was it to give me that memo? Was it Stephanie's?
Philip: Damn it, Melanie. Why do you always -- [Sighs] Why don't we start things over? I don't know what it is about us, but every time we get in a room together, things start heading south, you know? I don't want that. I don't want to argue, so why don't we go back to my office and try to work this out?
Melanie: Mm... you are such a player.
Philip: I've never played anything but straight with you.
Melanie: Holy cow. You said that with a straight face. Look, Philip, don't try and con a Conner, okay? I read you like a book. You're gonna try and blame me and then go run off and hook up with your lover girl.
Philip: You know, I can't help it if you're jealous of Stephanie. I can't --
Melanie: If I'm jealous of Stephanie? Give me a break.
Philip: Why do you keep talking about her?
Melanie: Fine. We'll drop the topic of Stephanie now and forever, but enough with the conning, all right? And it doesn't bore me. It makes me sick.
Philip: You and I both know the con doesn't work unless deep down the other person doesn't care.
Melanie: I do care...about my money and the project and its future, which has nothing to do with Titan anymore. I just thought I'd come by and tell you that. Have a nice life.
Philip: I can stop you. You know that, don't you?
Melanie: You can try. And you will lose.
Philip: Actually...the loser here, that would be you.
Brady: Look, grandpa, I know that you're very cynical when it comes to women, all right, but they're not all vampires. That includes Melanie.
Victor: My point is you have to be more realistic.
Brady: I am.
Victor: Oh? Think back to the time when that slut Chloe lane tried to ruin --
Brady: Okay, that's enough about Chloe.
Victor: You're really gonna let her walk away --
Brady: Grandpa, I'm serious. I don't want to talk about Chloe with you anymore -- not now, not ever. Am I clear on that?
Victor: Fine. Let's talk about somebody else we both know all too well -- Nicole walker.
Brady: Not going there with you, either.
Victor: She made us both suffer, and we're both damn lucky to be rid of her. You know, I have to laugh sometimes. The DiMeras may be sticking their nose in our business, trying to steal our fuel project, but right now at least they're the ones that are stuck with that conniving little bitch.
[Knock on door]
Daniel: I didn't expect you.
Chloe: Yeah, um...I can't stay. I probably shouldn't even have come here. I shouldn't have gone to find you at the hospital this morning, either, but I felt that I had to tell you that...oh, God, Daniel, I wish this wasn't happening, but Maggie Horton knows.
Daniel: Knows about us.
Chloe: Oh, my God. She talked to you already? Who else? Has she said something to Lucas? She said she wouldn't tell anyone if I promised to give you up.
Daniel: Yeah, and she asked me to promise the same thing. And I told her I couldn't do that.
Philip: We have an agreement, Melanie.
Philip: It's still legally binding in this state.
Melanie: Oh, so you've looked into it, have you?
Philip: Titan can renew its option on the fuels project any time it chooses.
Melanie: I thought that, too, but then I talked to my lawyer friend in Chicago who said that unless there's like an e-mail or some kind of physical proof, that I don't owe you anything. And he won't be working alone, either. See, the DiMeras have a boatload of lawyers that will all be on the case.
Philip: Hmm. Now who's playing? I know for a fact nothing has been solidified with the DiMeras.
Melanie: You got me -- details. That reminds me, I'm late making that phone call. Luckily I have him on speed dial.
E.J.: E.J. DiMera.
Melanie: E.J., Hi, it's Melanie Layton. Do you have a second?
E.J.: Um, actually, miss Layton, now is not the best time.
Melanie: Great, awesome, wonderful. Listen, the thing is, I've thought about your offer to develop my project instead of having Titan do it, and, uh, I think I'm gonna go with you.
Nicole: You're so beautiful.
Maggie: How's your mom? I was about to go visit.
Stephanie: She is doing great. I saw her early this morning, but she's even stronger this afternoon.
Maggie: Ooh, that's so wonderful.
Stephanie: I know.
Maggie: And how are you? Kayla tells me you're dating again -- Philip Kiriakis.
Stephanie: We've been on a few dates. The best. Yeah, uh, I wasn't sure after Max and I, um -- my life is really good now.
Maggie: Honey, I want to ask you about Melanie. Um, I mean, I know I promised I'd take care of her and she is living with me. I know she tries, but sometimes she doesn't always do the right thing. She's not causing problems for you and Philip, is she?
Stephanie: Not at all. No, um, there's no way she can touch what Philip and I have.
Melanie: I know this probably caught you by surprise, but you said to call when I was ready, so here's the call.
E.J.: Well, miss Layton, this is the second best piece of news I've had all day.
Melanie: Well, what a difference a day makes.
Melanie: Uh, listen, I know you were eager to meet up, so I thought --
E.J.: Uh, miss Layton, I'm awfully sorry. I'm very anxious to meet you, very anxious to talk to you, but my fiancée just gave birth to our first child today, so I'm a little bit busy.
Melanie: Oh, yeah, I'll bet. And, hey, congratulations. Uh, listen, though -- oh, yeah, that time sounds great.
E.J.: I'm sorry. Beg your pardon?
Melanie: Uh, but I'm gonna have to check my calendar and make sure that that works, so I'll have to get back to you.
Melanie: I know you're very anxious to start working, and so am I. We're gonna have a great time.
E.J.: Miss Layton, thank you. I'm extremely anxious to work with you, but I have to go back and see my daughter now, so I will be in touch. Thank you.
Melanie: Oh, yeah, sure. No, that's great, but, uh, listen, I'm not really in the best place to discuss details, so I'm gonna have to get back to you, okay? [Laughing] Okay, all right. You take care.
Philip: It's not gonna happen, Melanie.
Nicole: Brady. What are you doing here?
Brady: Uh, I hadn't seen you. I hadn't seen you in a long time, and I thought, "I don't believe this." My God...you did it.
Nicole: Of course I did. I had my baby. Don't worry. We're alone. Well, not all alone, huh?
Brady: Okay, then, um, excuse me, but what the hell are you talking about? You think just because you say it that it's true?
Nicole: Brady, you know what? My baby doesn't need to hear any of your sermons about how her mommy made some mistakes, okay? How about you just let it go?
Brady: Is it the --
Nicole: You know, just --
Brady: This is Mia's kid, right? You -- you talked her into giving you her baby?
Nicole: Yeah. That's how it happened. And now Sydney Ann DiMera is our sweet baby girl -- mine and E.J.'S. So can't you just be happy for me? Can't you just let it go? I mean, do I get a congratulations?
Brady: It's amazing.
Nicole: Yes. It is...in more ways than you will ever know. I worked my tail off to make this happen. I did it. I pulled it off, no thanks to you. All you said was, "don't, Nicole. No, Nicole. I'll never work, Nicole."
Brady: Oh, my God, I just wanted you to be honest.
Nicole: No, you wanted to ruin everything, but I had the courage to hang on. I won. Don't I at least get a smile? I went through a hell of a nightmare, Brady. Now it's over. I'm a mommy.
Brady: Nicole, your nightmare is just beginning.
Chloe: So, Maggie hasn't told Lucas...yet.
Daniel: She was going to, but something obviously stopped her.
Chloe: Oh, thank God. I was pretty scared that she was gonna go looking for him. She was upset after she found out that I didn't keep my promise.
Daniel: To tell me to end it?
Chloe: When she asked you to promise, you said no?
Daniel: I just told her the truth.
Chloe: Daniel, this has to be over, okay? It has to be, because she's gonna tell Lucas if we keep seeing each other.
Daniel: Yeah, and that might be a good thing. It would end the deception, wouldn't it?
Chloe: No. No, Daniel. This has got to end now, okay? Listen to me -- we are in control. We can do this, and we will.
Daniel: Chloe...chloe, why would you say that when we both know it can't happen?
Philip: You want to talk about this? About what's really going on, what's really got you so upset?
Melanie: Your stupid sex thing with Stephanie. Get over yourself, Philip.
Philip: So you're gonna just chuck everything and walk? Because make no mistake... we can make this work.
Melanie: Wow. You still think you can turn on the charm and I'll be putty in your hands? Pay attention -- those days are gone. You want to know why? Because actions, Philip, have consequences. Somebody told me that a long time ago, and I never forgot about it. Oh, yeah. That was you.
Philip: So because I chose Stephanie...you're just gonna walk away? That's pretty childish, Melanie. Pretty childish. But just so we're clear -- you will never get between Stephanie and me.
Melanie: Okay. And just so we're clear -- I'm not gonna let you mess with me ever again.
Brady: Look, I don't know how you found a way to get Mia to give up her baby, much less pass it off as your own. You know what? I don't even want to know, Nicole, but this is not a normal adoption.
Nicole: Brady, would you stop?
Brady: Will you please look at me? What you've done here is criminal. It's illegal.
Nicole: I am not interested in one of your doomsday scenarios, okay? I will not get caught.
Brady: This is gonna come back and bite you.
Nicole: Oh, mark my words.
Brady: What are you gonna do with E.J. Finds out?
Nicole: F.Y.I. -- E.J. Has had a million chances to find out and he hasn't. He won't.
Brady: He's not gonna find out? He's never gonna find out?
Nicole: God, you are like a dog with a bone.
Brady: Will you think, Nicole? Will you think about Mia for a second?
Nicole: What about her?
Brady: She's a kid. She could change her mind. She could want her baby back. Do you have any kind of written agreement whatsoever?
Nicole: Mia has hit the road. She is on her way to Japan for a dance career as we speak. She is not interested in my baby or coming back to Salem for that matter.
Brady: That all could change.
Nicole: It won't. I have done everything I've had to do, and I came out on top.
Brady: For how long are you gonna be on top?
Brady: Why won't you look at the reality of the situation?
[Door closes] Will you please just consider the possibilities here?
E.J.: What possibilities, hmm?
Lucas: Hey, hey. There you are.
Kate: Hey, baby. I know. I am fashionably late, but I am all prepared 'cause we need to make a decision. Where's Chloe?
Lucas: Uh, I don't know. I think she went to Nicole's or something. She's probably still there.
Kate: Well, she knows about the meeting, right?
Lucas: Yeah, she does. Definitely.
Kate: Okay, so did you call her cell?
Lucas: Yeah, I did. Straight to voicemail.
Kate: She's probably on her way.
Lucas: Right. Can't imagine where else she'd be.
Chloe: Look... it's done. It's a decision. We're adults. We're in control here. This is over.
Daniel: You're sure about that? How many times...have we tried to tell ourselves, each other, that we can't be together? That we can't even think about what a kiss feels like? Or a touch?
Chloe: No, we can't do this to Lucas or Kate. And Maggie is --
Daniel: Listen to me. I don't want to hurt anybody, but I am not gonna lie to myself or you. I won't walk away.
Chloe: Then I'll have to make the decision for both of us. It's over, okay? I'm gonna walk out that door and when I leave, this -- we're done, okay? I'm not gonna talk to you. I'm not gonna think about you.
Victor: What's going here?
Melanie: Oh, uh, not a thing anymore. It's been a pleasure working for you, victor. Too bad it couldn't last.
Victor: What? Not again. Don't tell me you fired her.
Melanie: Oh, no, no, no. I fired him. Ciao.
Nicole: Sweetheart, hi. You're home. Yay!
E.J.: So what's going on?
Nicole: W-- [Chuckles] Oh, please. Just ignore Brady. I mean, he gets all intense when he's arguing. It's really silly.
E.J.: Really? Why were you arguing?
Nicole: Well, really, we were just talking about vaccinations, you know, for the baby, and how I was ready these really negative articles, and not that I agree with them, but and, of course, our pediatrician knows way more, but, you know, never mind. It's -- it's unimportant.
E.J.: I didn't realize you called Brady to tell him about Sydney.
Brady: I-I just found out. I just stopped by.
E.J.: Really? Why did you just stop by?
Nicole: Well, Brady and I haven't seen each other for a while, right? So he just came to wish me luck 'cause he thought I was still pregnant.
E.J.: Sweetheart, I think he can answer his own questions. Thank you. Why did you drop by, Brady?
Brady: It's like, uh -- it's like she said. I just wanted to wish her luck, and I'm very sorry for raising my voice when the baby was sleeping. That was wrong. But, uh, I better be going.
E.J.: You have a real knack for doing this, don't you?
Brady: Excuse me?
E.J.: Bringing people down, Brady. It's the happiest day of our life, and then you turn up. Why is that? You came to pick a fight with my fiancée. Why would you do that?
Brady: I did not mean to intrude, okay? It won't happen again.
E.J.: Well, if history is any indicator, Brady, it will happen again and again and again. You'll turn up in my house somewhere...floating around my fiancée, and when asked what's going on, you will just tell me that you dropped by.
Nicole: Wait, wait. There's -- there's nothing going on between us. We're strictly friends.
E.J.: Then what is he doing here? Why is not happy for us? And why is he yelling at you?
Nicole: Look, I mean, he's not yelling.
[Baby crying] It's just Brady's way of communicating.
E.J.: Sorry, I think I heard Sydney. Would you please check on her? Now, please. Thank you.
Brady: Look, man, let's not make this into something it's not, okay? I can just see myself out. No big deal.
E.J.: Before you do that, Brady, you're gonna answer a few simple questions.
Kate: I mean, I know June isn't that far off, but it's going to be very difficult to book a reception hall then. I think may would be better. In fact, I think early may would be fabulous. What?
Lucas: Are you okay? How are you feeling?
Kate: Yes, I'm okay. I'm feeling fine. This isn't about my health, Lucas.
Lucas: Well, you say that.
Kate: Come on. Now stop that. I'm expecting a full recovery here, okay? This is about your happiness -- yours and Chloe's -- because now the threat is over. Remember that Sami is coming back to town. God help us.
Lucas: So what does that have to do with my wedding?
Kate: What it has to do with is making Chloe feel secure in your love, and moving up the wedding date -- making that early -- is going to say that loud and clear.
Lucas: Why are you so concerned about Chloe?
Kate: I know you would never expect me to be saying this, but I do care about her happiness. And wanting this wedding to happen sooner than later is because I realize how happy she makes you. Honey, that gives me such peace of mind. I know that she's perfect for you.
Victor: She called E.J. DiMera right in front of you?
Philip: I felt like slapping the phone right out of her hand.
Victor: Rotten little traitor.
Philip: Mm-hmm. You know, I'm sure if we call masters & Murd, we could have an injunction by tomorrow.
Victor: No, an injunction will only last as long as it took DiMera's lawyers to get it lifted.
Philip: I'm not gonna let this happen, dad. She is not walking away from this contract.
Victor: You're damn right she's not. It's obviously a complete phony, and now she's become a liability.
Philip: I tried to warn you. Now she's got to be dealt with.
Victor: Harshly. Understood?
Philip: Understood. Titan's going to keep this project, and I'm gonna bury Melanie.
Nicole: E.J., You're making this Brady's fault and it's not.
E.J.: Sweetheart, I asked you to check on our daughter, okay? Can you do that now, please? Thank you.
Brady: Look, E.J., I can't help it if you want to think that something's going on.
E.J.: I really don't want to hear any more of your lies, Brady.
Brady: I don't really want to hear any more of your damned accusations, either.
E.J.: You're here for some reason. Now, I don't know what that reason is. And you're arguing with my fiancée. Now, I don't know why, but I'll tell you this -- I am going to find out. You hear me?
Nicole: No! My baby! Something's wrong with my baby!
Sami: I have this really bad feeling like I'm never gonna see him again.
Max: You're gonna make very powerful people very mad, and that's never a good thing.
Philip: I will do what it takes to keep that patent here at Titan.
Stephanie: Even if it means destroying Melanie.
