Bo: Hey, man.

Max: What's up?

Bo: Anyone ever tell you you work too hard?

Max: [Chuckles] Yeah, well, it keeps me out of trouble. What's your excuse?

Bo: Same.

Max: What brings you by? It's too early for a beer, isn't it?

Bo: Ah, never too early. That's not why I'm here. Been meaning to give this to its rightful owner.

Max: Told you, I don't want it.

Bo: Ah, come on. Trent gave it to you. He's your bio dad. Don't you think it's time you found out what's in it? Oh, great. Give to Philip. Guess they figure he won't shoot the intern. Hi, Marie. It's Stephanie Johnson. Is he in yet? Excuse me? He went where?

Melanie: Hi, Philip.

Philip: Bad time?

Melanie: No, come on in. Actually, um, I'm kind of glad you're here. I wanted to thank you personally for giving me a chance. I was surprised when Maggie said you called and offered me the job.

Philip: Yeah, it just so happens we need somebody to start right away. I hope you're a quick study.

Melanie: Super quick. And I can't wait to get started first thing tomorrow morning.

Philip: Oh, change of plans. You're starting today.

Sami: I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad you're back.

Rafe: Yeah, I'll bet.

Sami: Did I thank you properly for leaving me with broom-Hilda? She's quite a sight -- running nose and all.

Rafe: I hope you behaved yourself.

Sami: I always do, don't I? Come on, what could I pull with that nosy bulldog around?

Rafe: Well, she's a big fan of yours, too, you know.

Sami: So, what were you up to?

Rafe: I just had a little business to take care of.

Sami: Did it have to do with me?

Rafe: Well, everything has to do with you, Sami. The world revolves around you, doesn't it?

Sami: Rafe, if it has to do with my case, I'm entitled to know.

Rafe: Well, okay, then. I went on a little fact-finding mission. Found out some information about your baby's daddy.

Sami: You went to see E.J.?

Nicole: I can't face it right now, Brady. Not right now. I just -- I need a little bit more time.

Brady: But you will tell him.

Nicole: Eventually. I will...when I'm ready, okay? But promise me. This is my body and my decision. Please, please don't say anything to him.

E.J.: Brady Black... again. So, what the devil is going on here, hmm? Well? Isn't anybody going to answer me?

Nicole: I-it's nothing, E.J.

E.J.: It's not nothing, Nicole. You're clearly very upset. Wait a second. It's not -- is everything okay with the baby? Is that what's wrong?

Sami: You're telling me you're investigating E.J.?

Rafe: Well, that's one way of putting it.

Sami: You didn't believe me when I told you what kind of guy he is, how horrible it would be if the DiMera's found out about this baby.

Rafe: Well, I just needed verification to find out what kind of guy, you know, he really is.

Sami: He's a DiMera. What more do you need to know?

Rafe: Well, I wanted to find out more about him on a personal level.

Sami: What does that mean? You, what -- you interrogated him? What?

Rafe: Well, of course not. You know I'm undercover. I observe from a distance.

Sami: Which means you found out squat.

Rafe: I wouldn't say that. I actually found out he would do anything for his kid come hell or high water.

Nicole: Why would there be anything wrong with the baby? I mean, don't you think I'd tell you if there was?

E.J.: Okay, then why are you so upset, sweetheart, hmm? What did you say to her?

Nicole: He -- he didn't say anything. He was just trying to be a good friend, you know, reassuring me in my hormonal, paranoid state that everything's gonna be fine and I should just stop worrying.

E.J.: Okay. Then what do you want, hmm? Why are you here?

Nicole: He -- he just came by to talk to me about John, his dad.

E.J.: Okay. Well, that's gonna have to wait, all right? I'm sorry, Brady. Nicole's not taking any visitors. She needs her rest.

Brady: Yes. No, I know, and I'll go. Uh, there's just something I got to tell you first.

Bo: Aren't you curious about what's in this?

Max: No, I couldn't care less, Bo.

Bo: Come on, he was your dad.

Max: No, that was Shawn Brady. And you of all people should know that biology doesn't trump a damn thing.

Bo: Okay, you got me there.

Max: And in your case, Victor still cares about you. Hell, he'd do anything for you. But Trent -- all Trent ever did for me was -- was ruin my life, hurt the people I care about, and leave me that lousy box.

Bo: Max --

Max: No, do me a favor? Keep it or throw it away. 'Cause I don't want it.

Melanie: By today? I'm not ready. I have things to do.

Philip: Do you want the job or not?

Melanie: Well, of course I do, yeah.

Philip: Okay, then. Here you go. This is a USB stick, containing the detailed accounts of Titan's holdings -- 2 gigs. You need to look at those files and get familiar with them.

Melanie: All of them?

Philip: I'm taking a big chance on you, Melanie. People are gonna wonder why I did, and I need you up to speed.

Melanie: So I don't embarrass you.

Philip: So you don't embarrass yourself.

Melanie: And I have to know all of them.

Philip: By tomorrow.

Stephanie: You've got to be kidding me. You actually hired her?

Sami: There's no big mystery there. I mean, that guy pulled all sorts of sketchy things with his contacts in the courts to get a court order to prevent me from taking my own son out of that house.

Rafe: Mm-hmm. Ever occur to you that maybe he did it because he was afraid of losing you?

Sami: What?

Rafe: Yeah. Well, look, maybe in the end, you two will work things out.

Sami: "Work things out"? Why would I want to?

Rafe: Come on, you've as much as admitted that you have feelings for the guy.

Sami: I have not! Besides, he's with Nicole now. I mean, he and she are having a baby together.

Rafe: Right.

Sami: If he found out that I was deceiving him like this, he would never forgive me.

E.J.: All right, I'm listening. What would you like to tell me?

Brady: I, uh, know about my Father, that he and Stefano are half brothers.

E.J.: You're just finding this out.

Brady: Yeah, it seems that some people wanted to spare me, thought I might not be thrilled with the idea, you know, of having DiMera blood running through my veins.

E.J.: I see. So, are you traumatized? Are you having an identity crisis?

Brady: [Chuckles] No, actually, I'm in serious denial. [Cellphone ringing]

E.J.: I'm sorry, sweetheart. That's Father. I have to take it.

Nicole: Okay.

E.J.: I'll be right back. Yes, Father. No....

Nicole: You scared the hell out of me. I thought you were gonna tell him.

Brady: No, you are.

Nicole: Not yet.

Brady: Well, when?

Nicole: When the time is right.

Brady: I don't know, Nicole. I'm getting a bad feeling about this.

Nicole: I can't just blurt it out. There's too much at stake.

Brady: You mean E.J.? Do you really believe that the guy's gonna --

Nicole: I lost my baby. I'm not gonna lose my future, too, with the man that I love. After everything that I've been through, I am not going to. I couldn't take it, Brady.

Bo: Look, man, I-I didn't mean to make this tougher than it already is.

Max: There's not tough about it. I just don't want it, whatever it is.

Bo: Yeah, okay, fine, but you're gonna have to be the one to get rid of it because it's not my call.

Max: Okay, great. Well, thanks for dropping it by, and I'll take care of it.

Bo: All right. Max.

Max: Yeah.

Bo: This mess with Robbins and Melanie -- I...I'm sorry it's been so hurtful to you.

Max: It's over now.

Bo: N-not really. I mean, family stuff like this, the pain tends to linger, and I just want you to remember you got family here who loves you.

Max: Thanks.

Bo: All right. Hope wants to have you over for dinner. I don't know. She'll probably give you a call in the next couple days.

Max: All right, well, uh, I'd like that.

Bo: All right, later.

Brady: Nicole, the longer you put this off, the harder it's gonna be --

Nicole: Would you just please stop pressuring me?

Brady: You told me you were gonna tell him yesterday as soon as he got home.

Nicole: And I tried. I was going to.

Brady: Well, what happened?

Nicole: I don't know. I just -- I looked in his eyes and I saw his concern and the love for the baby and I just -- I couldn't -- I couldn't do it. I was afraid, and the next thing I knew, I was lying to him.

Brady: Well, it's got to stop. You are gonna have to bite the bullet on this one, and you're gonna have to tell E.J. the truth now.

Sami: E.J. can never find out about this baby, period.

Rafe: All right. What about when the killer's finally caught and you get to go home, hmm?

Sami: Look, can we not talk about this right now? I just want to sit down and drink my tea and read my book and relax and not talk about the DiMera's for five minutes. Would that be okay with you?

Rafe: Fine by me. What do we have here?

Sami: Uh...what's -- uh, nothing.

Rafe: St. Anne's medallion?

Sami: Yeah, uh, it's mine.

Rafe: Huh. How long have you had this?

Sami: Forever.

Rafe: Funny 'cause I've never seen you wear it before.

Sami: Well, I didn't realize I had to show you every little thing I brought with me into this shack.

Rafe: 'Cause you didn't bring it with you, did you?

Sami: Excuse me?

Rafe: Yeah. [Chuckles] You must not have noticed, but it's got a tiny little engraving here. "Convent of the holy cross." It's from the church down the road.

Sami: Okay, well --

Rafe: Don't lie to me, Sami, okay? You snuck out after I left, didn't you?

Philip: Melanie is Titan's new administrative assistant in business affairs. I was just dropping off some material.

Stephanie: I see.

Melanie: That's not gonna be a problem for you, is it, Steph, me working for Philip?

Stephanie: No, I'm just surprised, that's all. I thought Philip was gonna hire someone who's qualified, but I guess not.

Philip: Stephanie.

Stephanie: Um, Marie said that you would be here. I thought it might be to see Maggie about the green committee.

Philip: What's going on?

Stephanie: I have those figures you were waiting on.

Philip: Thank you. Are we cool? Any questions?

Melanie: Uh, just one. Am I gonna be quizzed on all this tomorrow?

Philip: You might be. Better study.

Melanie: Wonderful. I will pull an all-nighter if I have to.

Philip: See you at the office.

Sami: Okay, all right, I woke up. Hilda was asleep. That wasn't my fault, by the way. She was sound asleep all on her own. She took that nighttime medicine. And I woke up, and I saw her lying there, and I saw the bottle.

Rafe: And you just couldn't resist taking advantage.

Sami: I just went to the church. I was really careful.

Rafe: "Careful"? You could have gotten yourself killed.

Sami: I didn't, did I? I mean, I'm here. I'm safe. I just -- I just wanted to go there and relax, and, you know, it helped. It helped me calm down.

Rafe: So, um, why of all places did you feel the need to go there?

Sami: I don't know. I just did.

Rafe: That's not an answer.

Sami: I miss my kids. Is that an answer? It's -- it's almost Christmas. And it's hard for me to be away from my family and my children. It's sad and lonely and depressing and -- I don't know -- I just...was upset.

Rafe: And?

Sami: And -- and I thought I could go there and light a candle and pray and -- and maybe God would listen to my prayers and help me.

Rafe: Well, nothing's stopping you from praying right here.

Sami: No, you're right. But then I wouldn't have met the nun, and she wouldn't have been so nice to me, and she wouldn't have given me that St. Anne's medal.

Rafe: "The nun"? You let someone see you?

Sami: It was just a nun. Oh, come on. She was nice, and she talked to me, and I didn't give her my real name or anything. I just talked to her, and she was kind, and she was comforting, and...and I was hoping we could go back. I was hoping maybe you would take me back, you know, for real, and we could be really careful, like, whatever you think, and maybe I could just talk to her. What do you think?

Rafe: I think it's a bad idea.

Sami: Of course you do.

Rafe: [Sighs] You know what? If I don't let you go, you're just gonna find a way to get out of here anyway, so you might as well be with me.

Sami: Are you serious? Is that really a yes?

Rafe: You have to promise me that I can trust you, okay? We're gonna do this my way or not at all.

Sami: Yes, Rafe, you can totally trust me. Thank you. Thank you so much. You have no idea how much this means to me.

Nicole: But I won't keep deceiving him, and God knows I can't keep wearing this thing forever. I just figured it would buy me some more time to think. Please, Brady, let me handle this my own way. That's all I ask.

Brady: I hope you know what you're doing. 'Cause the DiMera's are not people that you mess with. Not like this.

Max: Wow, you look busy.

Melanie: Max.

Max: Maggie let me in. I hope I'm not interrupting.

Melanie: Actually, I could use a little interruption. Or a lot. I've been at this all day.

Max: At what?

Melanie: I got a job.

Max: You got a job?

Melanie: Don't act so shocked, Max.

Max: I'm not shocked. I'm happy for you. That's great. Tell me about it.

Melanie: Well, there's not much to tell. I mean, Philip offered me a very prestigious position at Titan.

Max: Really? Doing what?

Melanie: I am an administrative assistant and basically a glorified gopher. I take lunch orders.

Max: That's a very optimistic approach to it.

Melanie: I was just kind of hoping it'd be something a little more interesting, like graphic design or web art, but instead he gave me this -- 2 full gigabytes to learn.

Max: Wow, it's like a whole library.

Melanie: Yeah, and it's boring. I don't really understand why I have to learn it. I don't know what the point is.

Max: I don't know, but I'll tell you one thing -- you better not cut any corners.

Melanie: Meaning?

Max: I know you, Mel, all right? You can't fool a guy like Philip. It's not gonna happen.

Philip: See you then. Hey, thanks again for getting me that info.

Stephanie: Hope everything's okay.

Philip: It will be once the market turns around.

Stephanie: I just have one question for you.

Philip: Melanie.

Stephanie: Not that you owe me an explanation or anything. It's just I've spent more time with her, and I know what she's like.

Philip: So do I.

Stephanie: Then why did you hire her? I mean, last I knew, you turned her down cold.

Philip: And that's exactly what I did...until I considered the circumstances.

Stephanie: What does that mean?

Philip: Let's just say I had a change of heart, decided to give her a chance.

Sami: I had no idea that there was an alley that came straight here.

Rafe: Could have asked.

Sami: Oh, right. Like you were gonna give me directions?

Woman: Hello?

Sami: Oh, hi.

Woman: May I help you?

Sami: Yes, we're looking for Sister Theresa.

Woman: She's indisposed at the moment. Would you like to wait?

Sami: Yes, yeah, we'll wait if that's okay.

Woman: She'll be out directly.

Sami: You seem, uh, really familiar with this place.

Rafe: I used to come here as a kid. I told you that.

Sami: Came here a lot?

Rafe: Yeah. There used to be a nun -- Sister Agnes -- yeah. If it wasn't of her, I probably wouldn't be alive today.

E.J.: Hey. Sorry. Father's been pretty demanding recently. It's this new job.

Nicole: I understand.

E.J.: Brady left?

Nicole: Well, you didn't exactly make him feel welcome.

E.J.: Look, why was he here anyway, hmm? What does he want? Doesn't he have any other friends in Salem?

Nicole: [Chuckles] Are you jealous of your cousin?

E.J.: Insanely.

Nicole: Well, I told you, you don't have to be.

E.J.: All right, never mind. Brady -- I don't care about him. I want to focus on you and our child. Can we do that, please? Can we?

Sami: You wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for this nun?

Rafe: Probably not. Growing up, I was -- what we call at the bureau -- a street punk. No, seriously. In and out of gangs, always in trouble, heading down the wrong road until Sister Agnes got ahold of me, straightened me out.

Sami: She really believed in you.

Rafe: I guess he did for some crazy reason. She made me realize that I had a choice -- either I could stay a screw-up or I could do something positive with my life.

Sami: So she's the one who got you to turn your life around.

Rafe: Yeah. Well, she was one tough nun. She wouldn't take no for an answer.

Sami: And look at you now. Agent hotshot.

Rafe: [Chuckles] Yeah. Well, who knows where I would be if it wasn't for her.

Sami: So, working for the FBI, it's something you really enjoy.

Rafe: Most of the time.

Sami: How about now?

Rafe: Now? Not so much.

Brady: Bo.

Bo: Hey, Brady. I heard this nasty rumor you were in town. How the hell are you, man?

Brady: I'm good, man. I'm actually great.

Bo: Sit down.

Brady: Thanks.

Bo: Sit down. You know, Hope is anxious to see you. You ought to stop by sometime.

Brady: Oh, anytime.

Bo: How about this weekend? We'll come up with some excuse to have a party.

Brady: Yeah. No, that's great. Love to.

Bo: Yeah, yeah. Hey, Pete, cup of coffee, please. Has Hope e-mailed you the latest pictures of Ciara?

Brady: Oh, I can't believe how big she's gotten. And she's beautiful. My God, she looks just like her mom.

Bo: Yeah, I'm lucky there. Listen, man, you -- you had us worried there for a while.

Brady: Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm -- I'm sorry about it. I wish I could have done it differently.

Bo: Yeah, I'm sure. Well, important thing is you're home and you're good.

Brady: Yeah. Hey, I heard you had some tough times yourself.

Bo: Yeah, you want to see the scars?

Brady: No. [Chuckles]

Bo: Thanks to my beautiful daughter Chelsea and Dr. Dan, I'm here to tell the story.

Brady: Yeah, I guess we're both pretty lucky that way.

Bo: Yep.

Brady: My Dad, too. I mean, luck he's still alive and we got him back...sort of.

Bo: Yeah, sort of. Have you talked to him?

Brady: Yeah, but it's been really, really strange. Not exactly a happy reunion, Bo.

Bo: What about Chloe? Have you run into her?

Brady: Yeah. We actually -- we actually had a really good talk.

Bo: Mm, good, good. And...Nicole?

Brady: Yeah, I've seen her, too.

Bo: Just a piece of unsolicited advice -- stay away from her. She hasn't changed. No, strike that. She's involved with the DiMera's now, so she's more dangerous than before.

Nicole: What's going on? What, you think I'm hiding something from you?

E.J.: Nicole, you haven't even told me why you were so upset when I walked in.

Nicole: Yes, I did. I'm -- I'm hormonal and emotional and I found out that we can't make love right now. That's what the doctor told me.

E.J.: When did he tell you this?

Nicole: I went to the clinic this morning, and, um, Dr. Baker said that we -- we couldn't be intimate.

E.J.: I thought this scare you had at the lodge was more serious than you were letting on.

Nicole: No, it's not that it's serious --

E.J.: That's why I went to see Dr. Baker, too.

Nicole: You what?

E.J.: Look, sweetheart, I know you're trying to put a brave face on things 'cause you don't want me to worry, all right? And I appreciate that, but I need to know the facts.

Nicole: What did Dr. Baker say to you?

E.J.: Nothing. He can't -- he can't tell me anything because we're not married.

Nicole: Right.

E.J.: Well, that doesn't matter because we are driving out there right now to go and see him together.

Nicole: Now?

E.J.: Why not?

Nicole: Oh. Well, I, um -- I just don't feel like going out.

E.J.: Darling, if you're not feeling very well, that's all the more reason to go and get you checked out.

Nicole: Yeah, but I just need rest. That's all.

E.J.: Okay, I appreciate that, and you'll get some rest, I promise, just as soon as we get back. Just indulge me a little bit, please? I'm not gonna rest until I know that you and our baby are safe.

Nicole: Okay, well, if you insist.

E.J.: I do. I've got one quick phone call to make, so why don't you go and grab your coat?

Nicole: Okay. Yeah. Hi, it -- it's me. I need your help. I need some information, and I need you to send it to my phone. I need it right away. All right, listen carefully.

Stephanie: Melanie got to you, didn't she?

Philip: In a manner of speaking.

Stephanie: How?

Philip: I saw how truly desperate she is. She doesn't have anyone or anything... which puts her in a very vulnerable place and susceptible to God knows what.

Stephanie: Oh, boy. She really is working you, Philip.

Philip: Actually, it's what she said about me that got me thinking.

Stephanie: What did she say about you?

Philip: That I'm a cold, insensitive jerk who has no idea what it's like to live in the real world.

Stephanie: That's not true. You were in the Marines. You served in the war. You worked very hard to get where you are. Your father didn't just hand you the company.

Philip: Still compared to her, my life's been a cakewalk. And I'm not just talking about money or privilege. I had two parents who loved me, who would do anything to protect me. But Melanie -- she was raised by this crazy bastard who abused her and she didn't even have a mother around, apparently. It's tragic.

Stephanie: So this is about feeling sorry for her.

Philip: It's about trying to be a better person. Helping somebody out who hasn't had the same breaks as me... before it's too late.

Stephanie: Too late for what?

Philip: If somebody doesn't step in, Melanie's gonna wreck her life.

Melanie: I'm not gonna blow this off. Daddy didn't leave me a trust fund.

Max: Yeah, but you have a great opportunity here, Mel, and I don't want you to blow it.

Melanie: Okay, enough with the lecturing.

Max: I'm not lecturing. Okay, I'm not lecturing you. I'm just trying to help you. Okay?

Melanie: Okay. I appreciate it. Now, I have to get back to this boring junk, so unless you have something else to say...

Max: Actually, I came to give you something.

Melanie: That's -- that's the box.

Max: That Trent gave me, right.

Melanie: But Bo -- Bo took it and said he was gonna give it to you.

Max: Well, he just gave it to me.

Melanie: And you haven't opened it yet?

Max: I can't. That's why I'm giving it to you.

Sami: [Scoffs] So, you still hate working with me.

Rafe: What's to like?

Sami: I'm sorry that they haven't found someone to replace you.

Rafe: Yeah, department's understaffed.

Sami: Yep, and it just kills me, you know, to know that I am causing you such distress, that I am making you so miserable.

Rafe: No, it's okay. It's been getting better.

Sami: I'm so relieved.

Rafe: What I mean is we've been getting used to each other.

Sami: Speak for yourself.

Rafe: I know it's not easy for you being cooped up in that loft, being away from your family, your kids. I know I haven't been that much fun, okay?

Sami: Uh, actually, sorry. I'm gonna have to correct you. You've been absolutely no fun at all.

Rafe: So you keep reminding me.

Sami: The thing is I can kind of see it, you know, the -- the hidden inner street punk in you. He's in there somewhere dying to get out.

Rafe: And maybe if you grew up, I could let him out.

Sami: What does that mean?

Rafe: Well, if you follow the rules and acted like a mature human being, I could let down my guard once in a while.

Sami: No, that's not really my thing.

Rafe: What, the following the rules or growing up?

Sami: Both.

Rafe: Wow.

Sami: What?

Rafe: Well, if Sister Agnes were around today, she would kick your butt six ways from Sunday.

Sami: [Chuckles]

Brady: Thank you. You don't think people can change?

Bo: Some. She hasn't.

Brady: Bo, how well do you really know Nicole?

Bo: Come on, she was married to Victor. Look, the way she behaved in the Robbins murder investigation -- withholding evidence, et cetera -- the woman is trouble. You know that better than anyone else. And now that she has Elvis under her spell, it, uh -- you know, I thought he was smarter than that, but apparently when it comes to women, not so much.

Brady: Well, time will tell if Nicole has turned her life around. Probably pretty soon.

Bo: You obviously know something I don't.

Brady: No, I don't. And E.J. -- my cousin E.J. -- he doesn't seem a lot like Stefano.

Bo: Wouldn't be too sure of that.

Brady: What's your take on him anyway? I mean, what do you really think of him?

Bo: That's a loaded question.

E.J.: This place is rather charming in a James Herriot type way.

Nicole: You know, um, why don't we just go? You know, I can make an appointment with my regular doctor at a regular hospital.

E.J.: I want to speak to the doctor who treated you, okay? Excuse me. I'm looking to see Dr. Baker. Would you be kind enough to tell him that Nicole Walker and E.J. DiMera are here?

Nurse: Sure.

E.J.: Thank you.

Nicole: E.J...I don't know why you're still insisting on this. I mean, don't you trust me?

E.J.: Darling, you're not a doctor, okay? You can't explain to me medically what's going on with our child.

Sami: Look, I'm really sorry about sneaking out before. I-I looked out the window, and I saw the church, and I guess I just felt drawn to it.

Rafe: I understand. Just -- next time just talk to me before you sneak out, okay? All right?

Sami: All right, I will. And I promise that I'm gonna try to be better. I'm gonna try not to be such a pain.

Rafe: See, that's great. I like that. But I'm gonna try not to be so hard on you.

Sami: No, you're supposed to be hard on me. I get it. It's your job. And the truth is, you do make me feel really safe.

Rafe: Hold on a second. Was that a compliment? A little bit?

Sami: Well, don't let it go to your head.

Rafe: All right, wow.

Sami: But, um, you're a good guy. And, hey, you know, if this place had something to do with making you the man that you are today, must be pretty special. Maybe that's what lead me here.

Rafe: Are you looking to reform maybe?

Sami: Hardly. Nice try.

Rafe: Yeah.

Sami: But, obviously, this place made a difference to you. I'd like to believe that if my child ever needed a place like this, it would be there for them. I would consider that a blessing.

Melanie: No, I-I can't take that. It was meant for you.

Max: Well, I don't want it.

Melanie: Well, neither do I, Max. Okay, I'll admit, at the reading of the will, I was a little bit curious as to what might be inside, but now I'm just trying to forget about everything that happened with Dad, okay? So, please, don't leave this here.

Max: All right, fine. I'm sorry. I thought you might have wanted it, but it's my problem I guess.

Melanie: Maybe it'll have something that you like inside.

Max: Yeah, right. Well...good luck with your new job.

Melanie: Max. If you want, maybe we can open it together.

Max: I'm not ready for that. I don't know if I'll ever be.

Philip: Well, I guess it's about easing my conscience, you know? Sometimes I feel guilty that I have so much and other people have nothing, so if I can help out one person who's had a tough life, I... [Chuckles] Look, I don't mean to sound grandiose about this.

Stephanie: No, you don't sound that way at all. You're a good guy, Philip. A really good guy. I just hope Melanie knows how lucky she is.

Brady: What do you mean "a loaded question"? Look, if you're thinking that I'm jealous or something, no. Not at all, not at all. I'm just concerned about Nicole.

Bo: Okay, if that's all it is is concern, I wouldn't waste my time. If the woman is gonna swim with sharks, she should know she'll get bitten.

Brady: What, he's that bad?

Bo: I've seen signs that he wants to lead a decent life, and I guess I should give him credit. What he did for your dad went a long way with a lot of people.

Brady: I don't understand.

Bo: Oh. He's the reason your dad's around. I mean, walking among us, at least. He found your dad in Stefano's lab, brought him back, went against his whole family. Let the whole world know about it.

Brady: I had no idea.

Bo: Yeah, well, don't go crazy with gratitude. That son of a bitch has a lot of sins to atone for.

Brady: So you still don't trust him at all.

Bo: I don't think anyone should.

Brady: Including Nicole.

Bo: Especially Nicole. Look, like I said, the woman is trouble. We both know that. I mean, from what she did to Victor and who knows how many other guys --

Brady: Bo, I really think that she has changed.

Bo: I hope for her sake you're right. 'Cause if she tries to pull that same stuff with Elvis -- what's the saying? Hell hath no fury like a DiMera scorned.

Nicole: E.J., I know you're worried, but the doctor's just gonna tell you the same thing I already told you.

E.J.: Oh, here he is now. Dr. Baker, thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to see me again.

Dr. Baker: Yeah, um, I see you brought Miss Walker.

E.J.: Yes, I did, so you're free to discuss any of the details of the case with me. And I would like to know everything about this scare that Nicole had.

Dr. Baker: Is that all right with you, Miss Walker?

Nicole: Yes. Tell him everything.

Steve: Let's get out of here, get you all liquored up. Put on some Barry White. What do you say, baby?

Marlena: I'm Dr. Marlena Evans.

Charlotte: I'm Dr. Taylor.

Marlena: No, that's impossible.

Sami: I'm not gonna try anything.

Rafe: Why is this so important to you?

Sami: It just is.

Rafe: No.
