Melanie: Let go of me.

Bob: Do you think I'm stupid? You think I'm just another one of your marks?

Melanie: No, I don't. I took your wallet, so take it back and get your hands off me! Ow.

Bob: Not so fast.

Melanie: You have your wallet. Now let me go.

Bob: I'm gonna teach you a lesson first.

[Indistinct conversations]

Kate: Lucas, Chloe.

Lucas: Hey, how you doing, Mom? You look great.

Kate: [Chuckles]

Chloe: Hi, Kate.

Kate: Hi. I thought that the two of you were going to Chloe's house for Thanksgiving

Lucas: Yeah, we were. Plans.

Kate: Okay. What's going on?

Lucas: I said 20 minutes.

Daniel: Hey, I heard 10.

Kate: [Chuckles]

Chloe: Well, it doesn't matter. It's ruined anyway.

Kate: What is?

Daniel: Your...

All: Surprise.

Kate: [Laughs]

Victor: There he is.

Brady: Grandfather. [Chuckles]

Victor: Let's have a look at you.

Brady: [Sighs] Never mind me. You never change. You know that.

Victor: Yeah, you always were a good liar.

Brady: [Laughs]

Victor: It's wonderful to have you back. We missed you terribly.

Brady: Same here.

Victor: So, how are you finding Salem since you've been back?

Nicole: Where's the doctor? Why isn't the doctor in here?

Brady: Nicole, the baby, uh, didn't make it. I'm sorry.

Nicole: [Sobbing]

Brady: It's okay.

Nicole: [Sobbing] Oh, no.

Brady: Honestly, it hasn't been what I expected.

E.J.: Hey, sweetheart.

[Door closes]

E.J.: Look who I brought to see you. Mary said you were crying earlier. Are you all right?

Nicole: No, E.J., I'm not.

E.J.: Sweetheart, what is it?

Nicole: It's the baby.

Melanie: You're hurting me.

Bob: You think you can rob me and just walk away?

Melanie: I'm sorry.

Bob: You need to learn there are consequences, little girl.

Melanie: Okay.

Bob: What are you, some kind of grifter, huh? You like to hustle people, huh?

Melanie: I gave you what you want. Now let me go.

Bob: Not yet.

Philip: What the hell do you think you're doing, huh?

E.J.: Thank you, Mary. [Door closes]

E.J.: Darling, what do you mean "the baby"? Hmm? And why were you looking at Johnny like that? Sweetheart, I know that you're upset. But what does he have to do with this?

Nicole: Everything.

Lucas: So, I put a call into Victor, and I mapped out our situation, and he agreed to have a little party at his place.

Kate: Well, I think this is very sweet.

Lucas: Well, in honor of your miraculous recovery.

Chloe: Of course, it was supposed to be a surprise.

Daniel: Hey, hey, hey. I did what I was told.

Lucas: You were told 20 minutes. Come on.

Daniel: Hey, sure, blame the doctor. No, I'm used to it.

Lucas: You're a genius at saving lives, but the surprise-party thing is not for you.

Kate: Aw. No. I have to say I am touched. I am very touched that my family wants to gather around me, and since this is the best that I've felt in, well, a while, let's do it. Let's party. I'm ready.

Chloe: All right, our sentiments exactly.

Lucas: I heard that.

Chloe: Come on, let's go.

Kate: Wait. Thank you for everything you've done. I'm glad you're in my life.

Victor: Well, I'm very proud of your recovery, Brady. I know it took a lot of courage and hard work.

Brady: I appreciate that.

Victor: Talking about recoveries, I've agreed to host a little surprise party for Kate.

Brady: Oh, really? That's great.

Victor: As a matter of fact, the guests should be arriving any minute now.

Brady: I hear Kate is doing much better, so I look forward to seeing her.

Victor: I'm sure she feels the same way, but, uh...

Brady: What?

Victor: Maybe another time would be better.

Brady: Why?

Victor: It's Lucas and Chloe. They're dating now. Inseparable, it seems. I had no choice but to invite her.

Brady: Grandfather, it's fine. I've spoken to Chloe. And, uh, we're all good. We've apologized to each other, actually. We've moved on.

Victor: I see.

Brady: You seem overjoyed.

Victor: I, uh -- I admire your generosity.

Brady: I saw Nicole, too. We've smoothed things over as well.

Victor: Good for you.

Brady: It's all part of the process for me -- staying positive, mending fences, not holding any grudges. I wish you would do the same. Asking too much, huh?

Victor: Those two women almost destroyed your life. I would raise hell before I saw that happen again. The best thing to do is just stay away from them.

Brady: Is that an order?

Victor: It's the only logical course of action. Chloe is an unmitigated train wreck. She's Lucas' problem now. As far as Nicole goes --

Brady: Grandfather, I know that you and Nicole have had your problems. I do.

Victor: "Problems"? Don't you think that's a bit of an understatement?

Brady: Maybe it is, but it was a long time ago. And I just think --

Victor: You think that because you're into forgiveness and mending fences that I should follow your example. Is that it?

Brady: Why not?

Victor: Because I don't need to, because I'm not a recovering drug addict trying to redeem myself.

Brady: I think I'll go inside now.

Victor: Did Nicole tell you that we were never really married? That her previous marriage was never annulled?

Brady: No, actually, that never came up.

Victor: Oh. She was cheating me out of money for years, stealing from me. Can't believe anything that woman says. No one can.

E.J.: Johnny has everything to do with it? I don't -- I don't understand.

Nicole: I just think --

E.J.: For God sake, Nicole, would you please just talk to me?

Nicole: Isn't it Johnny's bedtime?

E.J.: Yes. It is. Okay. I'll go and tuck him in. Be right back.

Mary: Here's Johnny, all ready for bed.

Nicole: [Crying]

E.J.: Shh, shh, shh. Hush, little baby, don't say a word papa's gonna buy you a mockingbird and if that mockingbird don't sing papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring

Bob: Who the hell are you?

Philip: Did you get your wallet back?

Bob: What are you, some kind of punk? Why don't you mind your own business? This doesn't concern you.

Philip: Did you get your money back?

Bob: Yeah, I did.

Philip: Then get out of here.

Bob: Look, amigo, this is between me and the little thief over there.

Philip: Go before you get hurt.

Bob: Why don't you take my advice, champ? Your little bimbo friend over there is not worth defending.

Philip: Get out of here.

Philip: You okay?

Melanie: I think so.

Philip: Did he hurt you?

Melanie: He tried.

Philip: What the hell happened? You took his wallet? Are you crazy?

Melanie: How did you even find me here?

Philip: I followed you. Why does it matter?

Melanie: 'Cause it's weird.

Philip: Heartwarming to know you're so grateful. What if I hadn't followed you? Huh?

Melanie: I guess I should be glad.

Philip: "Should be"?

Melanie: What, do you want a medal? You've saved my life twice now, superman. Congratulations. Thank you. I'm forever in your debt. Can I -- can I get going?

Philip: Why do I even bother? After everything you've done --

Melanie: Here we go again.

Philip: Playing pickpocket with some sleazy old man's wallet? Seriously, are you crazy?

Melanie: No, what I am, Philip, is sick to death of you, and I hate to deprive you of your ego trips, what, with saving me and all, but let's make this the last time, okay? How about you -- how about you get your kicks some other way?

Philip: Wow. You're breaking my heart here, Melanie. Not going to let me rescue you anymore. How will I ever get through the rest of my life?

Melanie: You're an arrogant jerk. Do you know that?

Philip: And your own butter wouldn't melt. So, how's this -- not only will I never come to your rescue again, God forbid, I will never question your judgment. How stupid of me. How unfair.

Melanie: Well, there you go again, peering down at me from your moral high ground.

Philip: No more peering, either. In fact, how about we never speak again?

Melanie: I'm sick and tired of everybody blaming me for everything.

Philip: This is so freakin' hard for you, isn't it? You rip a guy off and he gets pissed. What nerve.

Melanie: That's not what I'm talking about.

Philip: Goodbye, Melanie.

Melanie: No! You're gonna hear me out. I didn't kill my Father, Philip. Nick did. He did it, not me. And yet everybody in this town is looking at me like I am the guilty one, and I can't figure out why.

Philip: If you want people to trust you, baby, you should make better choices, reconsider this life of petty thievery.

Melanie: So I ripped a guy off. Big deal.

Philip: People go to jail for stuff like that.

Melanie: I was desperate. You wouldn't give me a job, remember?

Philip: Oh, now it's my fault.

Melanie: Well, Philip, I don't have any money, and no one's really willing to, uh, help me out, not even Maggie.

Philip: Pull it together, would ya? This is America. It may be a few stock brokers short of perfect right now, but it's still the land of opportunity.

Melanie: See, now, that is so easy for you to say -- living in your big mansion, C.E.O. of a Fortune 500 Company.

Philip: Oh. You want things handed to you. Is that it?

Melanie: You're not hearing me, are you?

Philip: What I hear is self-pity. That's all I ever hear from you.

Melanie: And you're shocked? You think I have no reason to feel sorry for myself?

Philip: [Sighs]

Melanie: You saw my website. You know I used to con my Dad into giving me extra cash, and you know when Max found me in Europe, he was helping me scam people there, so what were you expecting when I came here, to apply for food stamps?

Philip: I don't know. I guess I figured after all the hell you raise, that maybe, just maybe you wouldn't act like this.

Melanie: [Chuckles]

Philip: That's funny to you.

Melanie: No, it's just you think you're so smart and so worldly, but you just really don't understand anything.

Philip: What, about you?

Melanie: No. About you.

Brady: Now, who is this beautiful girl?

Chelsea: Hi, Brady! I'm so glad that you're home.

Brady: You were so sweet to keep in touch with me. I missed you, Chelse.

Chelsea: I missed you. You don't even know. [Doorbell rings]

Brady: Oh, uh, relax. I'll get it, grandfather.

Chelsea: Well, you must be very proud.

Victor: I am. He's turned his life around.

Chelsea: Yeah.

Victor: How are you doing, Chelsea?

Chelsea: I'm okay. You know, I've tried to convince myself that I'm not responsible for Trent's death.

Victor: What? I don't understand.

Chelsea: Um, well, I was thinking that maybe I drove Nick to do it, you know, since I broke up with him, but I think I've finally come to realize that it was all Melanie.

Victor: Trent's daughter.

Chelsea: Yeah. She made Nick crazy, literally.

Victor: I've heard about the girl. Nothing good, I'm afraid.

Chelsea: Well, I hope that you never have to meet her, because she's just this horrible and destructive person.

Brady: Guest of honor has arrived.

Lucas: Hey, what are we, chopped liver?

Chelsea: Hi.

Kate: Oh, hi, baby. This is so wonderful. Thank you so much for gathering everyone around. It's a wonderful gift, Victor. Thank you.

Victor: Nice to see you feeling so well, Kate.

Kate: I do. I do, especially now.

Brady: So, Daniel, you got to tell me how someone convinced you to get off the beach.

Daniel: [Chuckles]

Kate: I'm so glad you're here.

Chelsea: Yeah, me too.

Kate: I know it must have been difficult for you. So, have you been able to talk to Nick?

Chelsea: Yeah, I actually saw him earlier. Really shook me up, but then I ran into Max and, in a weird way, he made it all better.

Chloe: So...what's new?

Victor: If there were anything new, I would hardly share it with you, Chloe.

Chloe: Just trying to make conversation.

Victor: Well, why don't you make yourself scarce? That means go away.

Chloe: You mean leave the party?

Victor: I mean get out of my sight.

Brady: You trying to convince me that you don't miss surfing?

Daniel: I'm trying to convince myself. [Both chuckle]

Brady: It's good to see you, man. It's been too long.

Daniel: Yes, it has. You had me worried there, but you know what? You look good.

Brady: Thanks, man.

Daniel: Uh, you know, I'm gonna, um -- I'm gonna grab a soda. Do you want anything?

Brady: No, I'm good.

Daniel: Okay.

[Cellphone rings]

Nicole: Brady?

Brady: I wanted to see how you were doing.

Nicole: Thank you, but I can't talk right now. E.J.'s back, and he's putting Johnny to bed, and here he comes. I got to go.

E.J.: Who were you talking to?

Nicole: Does it matter?

E.J.: It does matter, actually...if it was the same person who you met at the lodge earlier.

Nicole: What?

E.J.: Let's not play games, shall we?

Nicole: I don't know what you're talking about.

E.J.: I know all about it. I know what you did.

Philip: [Laughs] What do I need to understand about myself, Melanie? What do you know that I don't?

Melanie: Well, you're spoiled, Philip, and you've been pampered.

Philip: Amazing insight. What, were you a psych major? Oh, wait, you don't have an education.

Melanie: Oh, and you have no character, you bastard, because you've had it so easy. I'll bet you've never really had to suffer a day in your life, right?

Philip: You know what? You're right. My life has been perfect.

Melanie: I'm aware.

Philip: In fact, I don't ever recall feeling sad or depressed or disappointed. Yeah, I'm just one happy-go-lucky son of a gun.

Melanie: You sure as hell should be.

Philip: And you sure as hell cracked the case there, Melanie. Where'd you get such scandalous intel? Did you moonlight as a spook for the C.I.A.?

Melanie: See, now, you can mock me all you want, Philip, but you know it's true. You have everything -- parents who worship you, friends, all the money you could ever want. Some of us will never have that. We have to grow up in the real world.

Chloe: It pains you, doesn't it, to see me happy?

Victor: Be as happy as you'd like. Just not in my presence.

Chloe: So wait, you followed me over here to tell me to stay away from you? Wow. Guess dementia's setting in.

Victor: You little bitch.

Chloe: You ever heard of forgiveness?

Victor: Go to hell.

Chloe: You should try it sometime. It's good for the heart.

Victor: Now you listen to me, the only reason you're in this house right now is because Lucas insisted and because it was so important to Kate, I obliged. But one false move and there'll be hell to pay. I've got my eye on you.

Daniel: Uh, Victor, could I have a quick word?

Victor: Don't do it, Daniel.

Daniel: No, I was only going to say --

Victor: I know what you were going to say, and I don't want to hear it. The girl's a sadistic little slut.

Daniel: Victor, come on.

Victor: She has done nothing but bring misery to my family, latched onto Brady, and then Philip -- put them both through hell. Now she's starting on Lucas.

Daniel: Will you listen to me just for one minute?

Victor: I said I don't want to hear it.

Daniel: It's about Kate. If you knew how much Chloe had helped her, maybe you would cut her some slack. [Cellphone rings]

Daniel: Excuse me. Jonas. Yeah, Mackenzine, what do you got? All right, I'll be right there. Thank you. I got to -- I got to go.

Victor: So soon?

Daniel: I won't be long. Will you just do me a favor? Just make an excuse if anyone asks.

Nicole: You know what I did? I don't understand.

E.J.: I called you when I was away. Several times. When I couldn't get ahold of you, I called the lodge directly.

Nicole: Okay.

E.J.: An employee saw you leave.

Nicole: That's the breaking news?

E.J.: You weren't alone. Who was he? Who is this person you were with?

Nicole: E.J.

E.J.: Who was he?

Nicole: The thing is it's -- it's far more important why I wasn't alone than who I was with.

E.J.: I -- I'm sorry. You completely lost me.

Nicole: Something happened at the lodge.

E.J.: What do you mean "something happened"? Something happened to our baby?

Nicole: Yes.

Nurse: Here you go, doctor.

Daniel: Okay, y-y-you're sure that these are correct, that there's no mix-up at all?

Nurse: A mix-up? No. Why?

Daniel: I, uh...I was -- I was just double-checking. Thank you.

Nurse: Okay.

Lucas: Thank you for throwing this little party, Victor. It's a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Victor: Well, it was my pleasure. You know that.

Chloe: Oh, and thank you for making me feel so welcome. You can't imagine how touched I am by your generosity. Uh, I need another drink. You want a drink, Lucas?

Lucas: No, I don't drink, honey.

Chloe: How about you, Victor? Would you like another cocktail, or is 10 your limit?

Victor: I'm drinking ginger ale so I don't say something I'll regret later.

Chloe: Too late.

Brady: Are you enjoying the party?

Kate: Yes, I am. Actually, it is a first-class soiree, isn't it?

Brady: Yeah, the Kiriakis' sure know how to throw them.

Kate: They do. And I'm glad you're here. Although, actually, it seems like you're not completely here. Are you sure everything's all right?

Chelsea: How's it going?

Chloe: Mm, great. I'm having a blast. I love feeling unwelcome. Wait, scratch unwelcome. I think the word is scorned.

Chelsea: Look, you can't let my grandpa get to you, okay? I mean, I know at times he can be tightly wound. Believe me, I know.

Kate: I know it must have been difficult to see your father the way -- well, the way he is now.

Brady: Yeah, he, uh, didn't recognize me.

Kate: I'm sorry. Brady, are you sure you're all right? Are you sure nothing's bothering you?

Brady: I'm -- I'm fine. Everything's fine. I'm just -- I'm glad you're doing well. You're surrounded by your kids. You have all this love and support. Not everybody gets the chance to live the way you have.

E.J.: Darling, please, just talk to me.

Nicole: After you...called and said you couldn't make it to the lodge, and I understand. I understand that you couldn't. You had to work, and I wasn't angry at that.

E.J.: Hey, stop stalling, please.

Nicole: I'm trying to tell you. When you called and canceled, I-I got my things and I...

E.J.: And what?

Nicole: And I went to the parking lot, and when I was about to get in the car, I felt this awful twinge.

E.J.: A twinge? Like a cramp?

Nicole: Yes, but nothing I've ever felt before. It was worse, and it really scared me. So there was this guy in the parking lot and I asked him to take me to the nearest hospital.

E.J.: The hospital.

Nicole: Yeah, I didn't get his name. I just wanted him to take me to the emergency room as quickly as possible.

E.J.: Okay, so you went to the emergency room. And?

Nicole: Well, it was a clinic, actually.

E.J.: Okay, what happened? Is everything okay? Is our baby all right?

Nicole: No.

E.J.: Okay.

Melanie: [Sighs] [Door opens]

Maggie: Oh, Melanie, I didn't hear you come in.

Melanie: I just got here a second ago.

Maggie: Can I fix you something to eat?

Melanie: No, thank you. I'm not hungry.

Maggie: You seem distracted.

Melanie: Will you be honest with me, Mrs. Horton? Did you mean what you said earlier?

Maggie: What I said?

Melanie: About me having a place to stay. Or do you just want me gone, too?

Maggie: Well, actually, one really doesn't have that much to do with the other.

Melanie: What do you mean?

Maggie: What I want and what I do for family are two different things.

Melanie: So what you're saying is that --

Maggie: You can stay.

Melanie: Good. I thought I would be sleeping in the park tonight.

Maggie: Not on my watch.

Melanie: You have no idea the day I've had. And to know that I have a bed to come home and sleep in --

Maggie: You know, I really should make myself clear. I'm letting you stay here, Melanie, because of...lots of things. But whatever it is you're going through, after what has happened to Nick, I just can't hear it.

Chelsea: So, you're late. What happened?

Philip: I got held up. How are you? Last time I saw you, you had a large tuft of Melanie's hair in your hand.

Chelsea: Can we not talk about Melanie right now, please?

Kate: Oh, there you are. We were starting to worry about you. Where have you been?

Philip: I just had some business to deal with.

Lucas: Fashionably late, aren't you? Took it to the extreme, I think, this time.

Philip: Sorry about that. Where's Daniel? Is he not here?

Kate: No, he was just here. Victor, do you know where he went?

Victor: Oh, yes, he got a call from a patient. He said he'd be right back.

Nurse: Is something wrong, Dr. Jonas? Do you need something re-tested?

Daniel: No.

E.J.: Okay. So, you saw a doctor, obviously.

Nicole: Yes, I did. Dr. Baker.

E.J.: What did he say? Did he tell you what the problem was?

Nicole: He treated me... he treated me for a small hemorrhage.

E.J.: Oh, Nicole, you have no idea what I was thinking.

Nicole: Please, don't touch me.

E.J.: What's wrong?

Nicole: I'm sorry. I just can't be touched right now or moved.

E.J.: Why not? Is that what the doctor told you?

Nicole: Yes. And that's why I've been in bed since you got home.

E.J.: I see.

Nicole: But...given my history and what happened at the lodge, Dr. Baker thinks I need to be as careful as possible for the next few hours.

E.J.: Of course. No, I completely understand.

Nicole: I'm sorry I -- I didn't mean to yell at you.

E.J.: It's okay. I'm not offended. I just -- I want to know that the baby is all right.

Victor: You look great, Kate. Radiant.

Kate: Thank you, but that's enough. That's enough compliments for one day.

Victor: Well, we're just impressed with you. That's all. After all you've been through, it's uplifting to see you like this.

Kate: Thank you. I am glad I am through that first round of chemo, though.

Philip: It's all behind you. You know, you're on your way to getting better.

Kate: Well, I may be on the home stretch, but I am not cured, Philip.

Philip: You will be. I mean, you heard what Daniel said. No one's responded to treatment the way you have.

Kate: I don't think those were his exact words.

Victor: Well, however he phrased it, I'm delighted that Daniel was in charge of your case. He's a bit of a miracle worker, that one. I'm very proud of him. And proud of you for your courage. You've set a good example for all of us.

Kate: I'm feeling a bit parched. I'm gonna get a drink. Excuse me.

Philip: Mom, wait up. I have something to tell you.

Kate: Yes?

Philip: [Sighs] Look, I know I've given you a hard time about Daniel. Knowing everything he's done for you, his commitment to getting you well, I [Sighs] look, I just want you to be happy. And if it's with Daniel, then I promise not to get in the way of that.

Kate: You don't know how much that means to me. Thank you. Thank you.

Lucas: Just try to relax, okay? Chill out about this.

Chloe: Easy for you to say. Like you'd be chill if someone was openly rude and nasty to you at a party. This is supposed to be fun, a celebration.

Lucas: Come on, Chloe, please.

Chloe: No, you come on. Victor treated me like dirt and he had no right. You want me to be here and so does Kate.

Lucas: Look at me.

Chloe: I mean, what is his problem anyway? He can't be happy unless he insults someone, makes someone feel like a low-life intruder?

Lucas: Will you just look at me?

Chloe: What?

Lucas: I love you, all right? That's the only thing that matters. That's the only thing that counts.

Chloe: He always ruins everything.

Lucas: Uh-uh. Say it.

Chloe: Lucas, stop.

Lucas: Say it right now. Say it. That's the only thing that counts. Say it with me.

Both: It's the only thing that counts.

Lucas: I love you.

Chloe: You love me. It's the only thing that counts.

Kate: There you are.

Daniel: Yeah.

Kate: I thought maybe you ducked out without saying goodbye to me.

Daniel: No, I would never do that.

Kate: No, I didn't think you would. [Sighs] Look, this party is as much for you as it is for me.

Philip: Daniel, hey.

Daniel: Hey, Philip. You made it.

Philip: Finally, yeah. Look, uh, I have something for you.

Daniel: For me?

Philip: A small token of my appreciation -- our appreciation -- for all you've done for my Mom.

Daniel: Oh, Philip, I can't.

Philip: Sure you can. Go on, open it. Yeah, I got one for my brother, too. It's his birthday. My guy in London gives me a good deal, so... my Mother is healthy, happy, and that's all I care about.

Daniel: Look, I'm sorry, Philip. I can't accept this.

Nicole: The baby's fine, yeah.

E.J.: [Exhales sharply] Thank God for that.

Nicole: And tomorrow, after a day of much-needed bed rest, mommy and baby will be up and about.

E.J.: Okay, you have no idea how relieved I am to hear that.

Nicole: I just really need this time, okay? These next few hours for the baby.

E.J.: What do you mean? Do you want me to leave you alone?

Nicole: It's important for me to relax, not to stress.

E.J.: Okay, all right. I'll go. I'll leave you some rest. You and the baby...are very precious to me. You know that, right?

Nicole: I know.

E.J.: Okay. I'm gonna go. [Door closes]

Nicole: [Crying]

Melanie: $13.22. That'll last me till tomorrow, I guess.

Maggie: Oh, oh, oh.

Melanie: Oh, hey, let me help you.

Maggie: Oh, thanks. [Sighs] Oh, oh, oh, you know what? I forgot to give this to you before.

Melanie: Thank you.

Maggie: Mm-hmm.

Melanie: Philip called and offered me the job at Titan? I thought he turned me down.

Maggie: Must have reconsidered.

Melanie: I don't understand.

Maggie: Neither do I, frankly.

Daniel: Taking care of your mother, it's been a privilege. I mean, more importantly, it's not just what I do. It's -- that's my job, so I can't take thanks or gifts.

Philip: I-I didn't mean --

Daniel: No, I mean it.

Philip: Okay.

Daniel: I mean, I hope I -- hopefully I'm not offending you.

Philip: Not at all.

Daniel: Well, if you two will excuse me.

Philip: I feel like an idiot.

Kate: No, don't be silly.

Philip: I didn't mean for it to look like a gratuity or anything. I was just trying to do something nice.

Kate: Honey, it was nice. It was thoughtful, and I'm sure Daniel didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

Philip: Whatever. No big deal. You're happy.

Kate: Yeah.

Philip: You're healthy. That's all I care about. [Clears throat] Hey, can I get everyone's attention, please? [Clears throat] I'd like to make a toast. Sorry I'm late. I know I missed a lot of the festivities, but I'm here now. And I'd like everyone to raise a glass to my incredible Mom. She's the heart of this family. And we'd all be losing our way if she weren't around. That I'm sure of, so to her continued health, her happiness. You're everything to us, Mom. Salud.

Lucas: I heard that.

Chelsea: Hear, hear.

Chloe: Cheers to that.

Brady: Well done, Philip. Well said. [Indistinct conversations]

Nicole: [Sighs] Someday...somehow...I will make this come true. I will give E.J. and me a baby. [Sighs]

E.J.: I'd like to speak to a Dr. Baker, please. Dr. Baker? Yes, my name is E.J. DiMera. I'd like to speak to you about a patient that you saw today and what happened. Her name is Nicole Walker. Yes. I'm the child's father, so I would like to know everything, please.

Lucas: How about we act like it's Christmas, okay? We pretend. You think you can handle that?

John: Would you like to broadcast my life to the rest of my family? E.J.? How about old man Stefano?

Brady: What are you talking about "old man Stefano"?

Nicole: I need you to give me something that no one else can. My life depends on it.
