E.J.: [Exhales deeply] Now all I need's the girl. Where are you, Nicole?
Nicole: I, uh -- Brady, what -- what are you doing here?
Brady: I've come back.
Nicole: I can see that. Why? Why come here?
Brady: 'Cause this is where you are.
Ray: Bingo. I'd know that face anywhere.
Bo: Point to the person you saw at the cemetery.
Ray: I don't know his name, but that's him, all right? The guy I saw at the cemetery -- I'm sure of it.
Bo: I didn't see that coming.
Melanie: Nick, I was packing my suitcase, and I-I found a picture of me and my Dad.
Nick: Don't think about that.
Melanie: "Don't think about it," Nick? I killed him, and now I want to put his picture in my suitcase.
Nick: Come on. Come on.
Melanie: What kind of person does that?
Nick: Hey, hey.
Nick: It's okay. I swear it's gonna be okay.
Hope: You're sure this is who you saw? And it was the night that Trent Robbins was killed?
Ray: I'm not in the habit of lying to police.
Hope: Yeah, you kind of are.
Ray: Okay, but I have no reason to make this up. He was there. I distinctly remember thinking, "a young guy like you -- you got nothing better to do than hang around a cemetery?" You're gonna tell the D.A. I cooperated, right?
Hope: Oh, yeah. You finally told us the truth. We're real beholden to you. Don't move. Stay there.
Bo: All right. Thanks.
Hope: I believe it this time.
Bo: Yeah, well, I'm not too happy. Nick's already taken a bullet for that little wench -- literally.
Hope: And he's still doing everything he can to protect her.
Hope: Damn it, Nick. What has he gotten himself into this time?
Nick: Hey. Melanie, your father was an evil person who treated you horribly, all right? He deserved to die, and no one, especially you, should have to pay for his death. He brought this on himself.
Melanie: Nick, he was my Dad. I'm just really confused right now.
Nick: Because of me. I never should have sent you those notes. I made everything worse. I just -- I wanted to keep you close, you know? I wanted to protect you. Listen to me, Melanie. You've got to let me protect you now, all right? We get out of here, and when you have time to think, you'll realize you didn't do anything wrong.
Melanie: But I did. Nick, what I did was so wrong. My mind won't even let me remember it.
Nick: We got to get out of here.
Melanie: No. [Sniffles] I have to do the right thing, Nick. I have to turn myself in to the police.
Marlena: Hey! Hey! I see you again today, hmm? How are you feeling?
Marlena: And you wouldn't tell me if you weren't, would you? What are you doing here?
John: Well, since I'm working with a bounty hunter to track down the mayor's killer, I thought I should let the police know, just to give the appearance of working together.
Marlena: How evolved of you.
John: So good to see you.
Marlena: Yeah. Can I have a minute of your time? I'm afraid I'm gonna be butting into official business here.
John: Ah, something different.
Marlena: I was gonna talk about Brady -- your son.
John: Yeah, so I've been told.
Marlena: I was going to, um, say that it must be very difficult for you to realize you don't even recognize your own son. But I must also say that I thought your response to him was --
John: Rude? Insensitive? Unfeeling?
Brady: Wow, this is, uh, harder than I thought it would be.
Nicole: Yeah. At least you knew it was coming.
Brady: Yeah, I know. I probably should have called. It's just, uh...
Nicole: Just what?
Brady: It's complicated. I really need to talk to you. Would you mind if I came in for a minute?
E.J.: Oh, Nicole. Of all the times to get a craving. [Exhales deeply] Nice timing.
Nicole: You know what? This -- this is so weird. What, am I just supposed to pretend like you're a friend who stopped by to say hi?
Nicole: "Hi, Brady. How you doing? What's new? How did the last few years work out for you?"
Brady: Nicole, look, I know this is weird -- all right? -- But just let me get a few things off my chest, okay?
Nicole: This is not what I expected to be doing right now.
Brady: I know, and I'm sorry. So I'm just gonna say what I have to say. I finished rehab. No. Actually, I finished one stage of rehab, and... one of the many things I have to do is make amends with the people that I hurt in the past.
Nicole: I would hate to do that.
Brady: Well, I want to, and I want to tell you that I'm not proud of the way that I left things with you.
Nicole: Okay, so let me get this straight. You came here to make amends with me?
Nicole: How can you like me, Brady? I did such horrible things to you and Chloe, and not once did it cross my mind to make amends, either. Look, I'm sorry. This meaningful conversation is making me uncomfortable.
Brady: Okay. You know what, then? We'll wrap this up really fast. I want to tell you that I am ready to put all of that in the past. And I am here... because I want to start over.
John: "Dumb." [Chuckles] You don't normally use words like that.
Marlena: No. Well, I was trying to get your attention. We both know that when I try to appeal to your emotions, I get nowhere.
John: So try an insult.
Marlena: It worked, didn't it? Brady is your son.
John: But because I don't know him or anything about him, I have no feelings for him.
Marlena: You're afraid Brady is going to evoke some feeling in you, because he is your son and he needs you, and you might just have an emotional response to him. Not only could you help him right now in this rough time in his life, but he could help you find out who you really are. So pushing him away is really dumb.
John: And I think this is where I came in.
Marlena: You know it, don't you? You know -- you know what you've done. You ran away from him earlier today, and now you're running away from even a conversation about him.
John: Because there is no point. I'm not afraid of him. I was not rude to him. I was detached. And that's just the truth of the situation. I was talking to a stranger, and as much as everybody would like me to pretend to have emotions that I don't, I won't, because that would be lying.
Marlena: You think you've got it all figured out, don't you? It's a pity you're wrong.
Nicole: "Start over." Okay. Uh, which part? The part when you fall in love with someone else or when I turn into an emotional terrorist?
Brady: Nicole, I meant "start over now." Neutral. Clean slate. Possibly even friends.
Nicole: You've done that growing-up thing, haven't you?
Brady: Yeah. Had to. Hated it.
Nicole: Yeah. Me too. So, can we not talk about our past anymore?
Brady: Yes. Yeah. Let's talk about the present. Now, what in the hell are you doing living here, of all places?
Nicole: We really do have a lot to catch up on. Uh, well, I'm -- I'm having a baby.
Brady: I thought that you --
Nicole: I know. I know. I-I couldn't, but -- it's kind of a miracle.
Brady: Wow. Are -- are you happy?
Nicole: Yeah. Over the moon.
Brady: Yeah, you look it. You do.
Nicole: The father's E.J. DiMera, and, uh, and we live here together now.
Brady: E.J.? As in E. -- [British accent] Hello, I'm the guy that screwed up Sami's life -- E.J.? [Normal voice] That E.J.? Are you crazy?
Nicole: All right. You know, nice job with the neutrality thing, huh?
Brady: Nicole, I -- man, you sure know how to pick 'em.
Nicole: Hey, we really care about each other, and I don't think either one of us is in a position to condemn people for what they've done in the past.
Brady: You're right. Is he nice to you?
Nicole: Yeah, he's really nice.
Brady: Then I am glad that you're happy.
Nicole: I'm glad you're back.
Brady: Congratulations, Nicole. [Both chuckle] Come here.
E.J.: Darling? Did you get lost?
Bo: Damn it. I should have gone after him. I should have checked him out thoroughly.
Hope: Brady, he wasn't working that night. You're not clairvoyant. Hey, we're closing in on this. It's okay.
Bo: No, it's not okay. Melanie has been playing Nick this entire time. Do you have his number?
Hope: I don't think we should call him. I told you how wired he was when I spoke to him last night. In fact, I don't think we should warn him we need to talk to him again.
Bo: That's a good point. If I know Melanie, what he knows, she knows.
Hope: If Nick was at the cemetery that night --
Bo: Ray says he was.
Hope: Do you think he saw the murder? Do you think he saw her do it?
Bo: I can't believe Nick wouldn't have told us -- what am I saying? Of course I can. A guy like Nick -- Melanie can make him do whatever she wants.
Hope: Like you said, she's playing him.
Bo: Yeah. Let's go.
Nick: You can't turn yourself in. I won't let you.
Melanie: It's not your call, Nick. I have to prove something to myself. Being his kid, it was like this war going on inside of me. I hated him so much, but I want to take his picture. And I needed him to love me, but I never, ever wanted to be like him. And if I run and I don't say anything... that's exactly what he would have done, and the war's gonna go on and on and on, and it's never gonna stop. So maybe -- maybe if I turn myself in, I'll finally be at peace.
Nick: [Sighs] Okay. If that's what you want to do.
Melanie: It is. I'm sorry. But this is -- this is what I have to do.
Nick: Okay. Can you just, uh -- can you give me a sec?
Melanie: Yeah. What's wrong?
Nick: Uh, nothing. It's just -- it's stupid. I'm just -- I'm a little scared.
Melanie: Why are you scared?
Nick: Well, Melanie, I mean, you know they're gonna -- they're gonna arrest me, too.
[Knock on door]
Roman: Come in. Well, I was having a bad enough day as it was. Did you come to make it worse?
John: I just wanted to let you know that I have hired a private investigator to find the mayor's killer.
Roman: Well, hell, let me take the rest of the day off. The case got to be as good as closed now.
John: I know that you are doing everything you can to solve this case.
Roman: But just not enough. Is that what you're saying?
John: You're limited by procedure. I'm just trying to help.
Roman: That's all?
John: I'm not trying to one-up you.
Roman: That's not what I was thinking, John. Not at all. I was thinking this, though. That you are probably trying to convince Marlena that you're back to your old self. You'll save her daughter, and then she'll just come running right back to you.
Nicole: E.J., hi. I'm -- I'm sorry. I-I got waylaid. I-I mean -- I didn't mean it to sound like that. Uh...
E.J.: You have company. I'm sorry. I didn't realize.
Nicole: I didn't know I was going to, and every girl loves moments like these. Uh, past meet present. [Chuckles nervously] Uh, this is Brady. This is E.J.
E.J.: Brady? Oh, as in John Black's son, yeah?
E.J.: Very nice to meet you.
Brady: Nice to meet you, too. I'm very sorry. It looks like I came at a bad time. I-I should have called.
E.J.: It's fine. It sounds like a spur-of-the-moment thing.
Brady: Yeah. Nicole, I'm -- I'm actually gonna get going, but I was wondering if you could call me when you're done.
E.J.: You know, actually, uh, I was just heading out.
Nicole: You were?
E.J.: Yeah. Darling, would you be kind enough to walk me to the front door? It's very nice to meet you, Brady. A real pleasure.
Brady: Thank you.
E.J.: Welcome home.
Nicole: Y-you're leaving? I mean, 10 minutes ago, you didn't want --
E.J.: I know what was gonna happen 10 minutes ago. It didn't quite work out.
Nicole: You're not mad at me, are you? I didn't know he was gonna be here. You're not jealous, are you?
E.J.: No, Nicole. You told me that I was your present. That is all I care about.
Nicole: Then why are you leaving?
E.J.: I've got some things to do. Besides, I don't think you've quite finished dealing with your past back there.
Nicole: Brady -- I-I've done some terrible things to him. He's just trying to put his life back together now.
E.J.: He needs a favor. You ought to be a friend. I understand. I'm not mad. I'm not mad. Look. I promise. Come here. Sweetheart, we have a lifetime of afternoons together.
Nicole: Mm-hmm. Including this one, because it's not over. Mmm. Will you come home soon, okay? And this time, I will be upstairs waiting for you, and I will not answer the door to anyone, I swear.
E.J.: Okay. Go see your friend.
Nicole: You're the best.
Brady: Nicole, I am really sorry.
Nicole: It's okay. E.J.'s totally cool with this.
E.J.: Thank you, Mary. And Miss Walker has a guest. So if you would be kind enough to make sure they are comfortable, I would appreciate it. Please keep an eye on them.
Mary: No problem. You missed one.
E.J.: Well, you know, I just do that to keep you on your toes, darling.
Melanie: Arrest you? But you didn't do anything. I did.
Nick: You're probably right.
Melanie: But you're not the one that killed him. I'm the one that killed him, Nick.
Nick: Look, last night before you came in, Hope --
Melanie: What did Hope say?
Nick: She said that if I was protect-- it doesn't make any difference what Hope said. I'm on your side. It was my choice to do the things I did.
Melanie: To do the things that you did?
Nick: Yes. Come on. Let's go. I'll drive you down to the police station.
Melanie: No, Nick. No. I don't want them to think that you knew anything.
Nick: Hope already knows that I'm covering for you. I lied to them. I'm an accomplice. We should go through this together.
Melanie: But that's not fair to you, Nick. You've done so much for me, and I've done nothing for you.
Nick: You're my friend. That's all I ever wanted. It still is.
Melanie: I ruined everybody's life.
Nick: No. No. Melanie, he did. Your father did. And he's still ruining your life, making you think that you deserve to be punished for something he made you do. Look, I don't care what happens to me. But you -- I can take care of you, Melanie. We can just -- we can go away, and we can be happy. Mrs. Brady is free. Nicole is free. If you turn yourself in, the only person you're hurting is yourself.
Melanie: And you. Okay. Okay, I'll go with you. Whatever -- whatever you think is best.
Nick: [Smooches] You won't regret this, I swear. All right.
Maggie: Hello, Brady's. To what do I owe the pleasure?
Hope: Hey, Maggie. Sorry. I don't think it's going to be a pleasure.
Bo: We're here officially.
Maggie: Well, uh, come on in.
Hope: Thank you.
Maggie: You're here for Melanie, right?
Hope: Yeah. How did you know?
Maggie: Well, because I didn't think you'd be here for me or Nick.
Hope: Well, actually, we need to speak to Nick, as well.
Maggie: I just got home. I- hope he's here. I didn't see his car in the driveway. Nick! Nick, are you home? Melanie!
Bo: Did you expect them to be home?
Maggie: Um, I guess I shouldn't say this, but since Melanie's moved in, I don't know what to expect. Nick is always so worried about her and -- I guess he has reason to worry, doesn't he?
Bo: Do you mind if we wait for him?
Maggie: I like how he pretends I didn't say anything.
Hope: Can I ask you a question? Why did you let Melanie move in here with you?
Maggie: [Exhales deeply] Uh, Mickey said it's 'cause I like drama. Hmm. But, really, it had more to do with Nick. He's always so worried about Melanie, as I said, and I thought if he knew she had a safe place to stay, that it would calm him down a little.
Bo: So he's been agitated?
Maggie: You don't answer my questions, but I answer yours.
Hope: Maggie, we're on Nick's side, but we are a little concerned about him.
Maggie: All right. Yes, yes. He's been agitated. You know, I thought it had something to do with the medication.
Maggie: Painkillers. When he was shot in Marseille.
Hope: Nick's mother was taking pain killers when she started having problems.
Maggie: Well, uh, yeah, but Jessica had a split personality. That's serious.
Hope: I'm not saying that Nick is like -- I'm not saying he's like his mother, but he's especially sensitive to Melanie.
Maggie: To Melanie. Hmm. So, what is it that you think she's doing to him?
Melanie: You stopped talking to me earlier. Why?
Nick: We can't have anybody overhear us.
Melanie: Yeah, but you stopped talking in the car. And then you -- you pulled in here. I thought we were going to like a lodge or something.
Nick: Melanie, I'm sorry, but, uh, when I start thinking, I get pretty single-minded, and I've got a lot to think about.
Nick: Like everything I know about what you did, about what happened at the cemetery. But, see, there's a way that we can make everything okay, all right? We can make sure that you're safe and that they can't make me say anything about what happened that night.
Melanie: But you said if we went away that all of this would die down.
Nick: We can't count on that. This idea I have -- it's, uh, it's a sure thing. Tonight we stay here. And tomorrow we fly to Vegas.
Melanie: Why -- why are we going to Vegas?
Nick: To get married.
Roman: John... have you forgotten that Marlena is a very smart woman? Especially when it comes to people and motive, she'll see right through this.
John: I don't have to remember that she's smart. She reminds me every time I see her.
Roman: She divorced you for a reason. She wants the stress and strain of having to deal with you over, and this is just another stunt to prolong that.
John: Well, actually, she thinks it's a very good idea, because she will do anything to get Samantha back, even if it means going outside prescribed channels. And I would have thought, for your daughter's sake, that you'd take all the help that you could get.
Roman: John, do me a favor. You let me think about my daughter. You think about your son.
Mary: Anything else, Miss Walker?
Nicole: Oh, no, Mary. That's -- that's perfect. Thank you very much. [Chuckles] I mean, look at us, huh? A nice cup of coffee. Cookie chaser.
Brady: [Chuckles] Yeah, I've had a lot of cups of coffee and a lot of sugar.
Nicole: You look great, Brady, and -- and you did great. I-I mean, this rehab thing, I'm sure, is not easy.
Brady: Well, it's easier than the alternative. And you look great, too.
Nicole: Well, I have real incentive to keep it together, you know? So, what did you want to ask me?
Brady: Right. Um, it's kind of complicated. I saw my dad this morning.
Nicole: How'd that go?
Brady: You know how you act when you want to get rid of a salesman? I was a salesman.
Nicole: Oh, Brady --
Brady: Nicole, it's okay. I'm not looking for sympathy here.
Nicole: But you got it. I mean, this situation is a bitch. To come back and see your dad the way he is -- that had to hit you hard.
Brady: Well, I had talked to him on the phone, and Marlena tried to prepare me. I'll tell you, nothing -- nothing really prepares you for when your dad looks at you like you're a stranger.
Nicole: I'm sorry, Brady.
Brady: It's all right. It's okay. I'm not trying to -- let me tell you what I'm trying to do. I talked to Chloe, and she told me that you are actually friendly with -- with who my Dad is now.
Nicole: Yeah. That's right.
Brady: He's one of the reasons I came back here. He's probably the main reason I came back here. I want to get through to him... and I want you to help me do it.
Marlena: Are you here to talk to me about John?
E.J.: Uh, no, actually. I'm here to talk about his son -- Brady.
Marlena: You came to me about Brady? Why?
E.J.: Well, he's over at my house at the moment talking to Nicole.
E.J.: They seemed to be having a private conversation, so I excused myself.
Marlena: And you came to me because...
E.J.: Because I'd like to know if I should be worried about Nicole.
Nicole: I am more than ready to help you and your father.
Brady: Thank you.
Nicole: Now, Chloe told you that John and I are friends, right?
Nicole: And that is the truth. John Black, the way he is now, likes me, and I like him.
Nicole: No bull, no fake sentimentality, no lying, and that's how I like it, okay? So if you want me to help you get to know that guy, then great. But if you want me to help you change him back to who he was, I'm not gonna do that.
Brady: Nicole, the man who I talked to this morning is not my Father.
Nicole: Yes, he is. That's who he is now. And you know what, Brady? If you would just maybe give him a chance, you might actually like John 2.0.
Brady: No. I'm sorry. That is not gonna happen.
John: So, Blondie told you that he's back?
Roman: Yes, she did.
John: And now you'd like to have a heart-to-heart about how I should deal with my son? You know, commander, I do think this falls under the category of "minding your own business."
Roman: John, you and Brady -- man, the two of you had an incredible relationship.
John: I think I'll leave you alone now. I'm sure you have something important to do... like finding an assassin. Good luck with that.
Nicole: He really made you angry this morning, didn't he?
Brady: No. No, I told you. I understand.
Nicole: He was brusque and cold, and he looked at you like you weren't even there.
Brady: Yeah. I really like that about him, too. He's a real sweetheart now. Okay. Maybe I am a little angry.
Nicole: Yeah. Look, I think he acts that way because it's like a defense mechanism. Maybe you can look at it from his point of view, all right? Not that I'm good at that, either, but -- you know, how about this? How would you feel if people you dealt with didn't want you to be you? They wanted you to be someone you didn't even know. Look, John -- John knows that you're his son. But from the get-go, he knows that you have expectations that he can't ever meet.
Brady: I-I showed up at the door. I didn't push anything. I didn't demand anything.
Nicole: I know. You wanted your dad. And he can't help you with that. But, you know, you -- you could help him a lot.
Brady: Yeah. Well, thanks for talking to me, and I am very glad you're happy.
Nicole: You know, he may not remember you, Brady, but you are certainly from the same DNA. You are both stubborn as hell. [Both chuckle]
Brady: I just -- I don't want to give up that easily, you know? I'd feel like I was letting my Dad down. [Smooches] I am very glad that you're happy. Really. And, uh, that E.J. -- he's a lucky guy.
Nicole: Oh, gosh. Don't get involved. Don't get involved. Okay? Yeah, right. Like that's gonna happen. Hey. I was just thinking about you. Can you come over?
E.J.: Marlena, I mean, she's really putting her life together. This baby's changed her. It's focused her.
Marlena: And you think that Brady might be a threat to that?
E.J.: Look, all I know is they had a difficult relationship.
E.J.: Okay. And then the guy turns up on my doorstep. Doesn't call. Just appears. She seems worried by this, and then I talked to her about it, and she seems a little bit uncomfortable about her past. I just think she has enough on her plate right now.
Marlena: Hmm. I think I wouldn't borrow trouble. If I were you, I think I'd just have some faith in her.
E.J.: I do. Now, him -- that's another matter. I'm sorry. Did I say something funny?
Marlena: No. No. No. Nothing funny. It's just -- it's just obvious to me that you are smitten.
Maggie: What have I done?
Maggie: Nothing? You said that she's taking advantage of that poor boy, and I let her move in here.
Hope: Let's not get carried away, okay? We're not even sure what's going on?
Bo: Maggie, we got to try to stay calm. All we want to do is talk to Nick.
Maggie: Well, now I'm worried about the pain killers. See, I asked him if he had been taking them when he got his D.U.I., and he denied it. Oh -- oh, God. He's driving. I didn't even think about that.
Hope: Do you have any idea where they might have gone?
Maggie: Uh, he said -- the Cheatin' Heart sometime.
Bo: We were just there. They weren't.
Maggie: You think they've run away, don't you?
Bo: We didn't say that.
Hope: There's one way to find out, isn't there?
Bo: About their rooms, you know, we don't have a -- Maggie can't really...
Hope: Right. Of course. Silly me.
Hope: May I use the bathroom?
Maggie: Of course.
Hope: Thank you. I hope I remember where it is.
Bo: My word is law to that woman.
Maggie: Now I'm really scared.
Bo: Hey, hey. We will find Nick. We'll find out what's going on. Try to stay calm.
Nick: I know it's not very romantic the way I put it, but it will solve everything.
Melanie: Yeah. I thought --
Nick: Okay, look. Listen. I didn't tell you everything Hope said, all right? I didn't want to scare you, but now I know how to fix it.
Melanie: What did Hope say?
Nick: She implied that she knew I knew something -- okay? -- And that she was gonna come after me to get to you. But if we're married, there's nothing she or anybody else can do about it, because we can't testify against each other.
Melanie: I just --
Nick: Look, look. I know it's a lot to take right now, and I know you're exhausted. I know that. So why don't you get ready for bed? Take a hot bath if you want to. I'm gonna go online and get our tickets for tomorrow. And then I'm going to go get us something to help us relax. I'm gonna take care of everything. From now on, we'll never have to worry.
Nicole: Thanks for coming over.
John: Oh, by all means. What's going on?
Nicole: Well, I talked to Brady.
John: And if you want to instruct me on how to deal with him, why don't you just join the queue?
Nicole: I'm not gonna tell you what to do -- just what happened, what he said. Look, he came to me and asked for my help because he wants more than anything to have some sort of connection with you.
John: Oh, really?
Nicole: Yes. He told me about this morning. He was upset about how you talked to him.
John: And what did you say?
Nicole: I said that you were fine the way you are and that he shouldn't try to change you.
Nicole: But, John, that doesn't mean you shouldn't have some kind of relationship with him. I mean, he just got out of a pretty tough rehab. You could be a really big help.
John: That's interesting.
Nicole: Look. You know I am not trying to turn you into someone that you're not. But, John...at least try to talk to him.
John: Right. I'm not gonna make any promises, but I do have one question.
John: Why the hell do you care so much?
E.J.: So you think that seeing Nicole with Brady bothered me more than I thought? Maybe you're right.
Marlena: Would you like some free advice?
E.J.: I would love some.
Marlena: Okay. Here it is. Why don't you ask Nicole how she feels about Brady?
E.J.: Now, why would I want to do a silly thing like that? See, if she knows that it bothers me, I'll lose all my power.
Marlena: Oh, silly me. I just thought that since you're having a baby together, you'd want to improve your relationship some. You know, honesty, candor, that kind of thing.
E.J.: It's kind of unchartered territory for Nicole and I. Thank you very much for your time. Can we keep this between ourselves?
Marlena: Oh, goodness. I've got to go. Come on. I'll walk you out. Why don't you go on home to Nicole and you can start communicating like crazy?
E.J.: We can pick up where we left off before we were so rudely interrupted.
Brady: Oh. I'm sorry.
Marlena: You're home.
Brady: I thought I would take you up on your offer.
Marlena: I'm thrilled that you did. Get your stuff in here. I'm just having to leave, but you can show him out. Bye.
Brady: What are you doing here?
E.J.: Oh, I just came to talk to Marlena.
Brady: Oh. Hey, um, listen. Thank you for letting me spend some time with Nicole earlier.
E.J.: No problem. Actually, uh, there's a couple of things I'd like to get straight with you.
Maggie: Do you think Melanie killed her father?
Bo: There are all sorts of possibilities, but right now we really don't have a case against her.
Hope: What we do have is a fugitive.
Bo: Her stuff is gone?
Hope: And Nick's. She's left town and taken Nick with her.
Nick: I still think we should take a hot bath, get ready for bed. And I will make us some drinks.
Melanie: No, thank you. I don't want one.
Nick: Oh, come on. It's a special occasion. [Chuckles] After all... we are getting married.
Nick: To my wife.
Stephanie: I want you to look at this and then tell me if you still want to hire me.
Brady: Let me guess the first item on the agenda -- Nicole.
Melanie: I'm just gonna go for a little walk.
Nick: Sorry, Melanie. I just can't let you do that.
