Bo: What's a guy gotta do to get a beer around here?
Max: You ask for it.
Bo: Yeah, I -- that was kind of a joke, trying to lighten things up.
Max: All right. Why would we need to lightening things up? You're mad at me, and I don't like to get pushed around.
Bo: I'm not pushing you around.
Max: And then you tried to get me to turn on my own sister.
Bo: I just want the truth about her.
Max: Only the truth that you want to hear.
Bo: This lightening things up is really working, isn't it?
Bo: Just trying to clear Ma of a murder charge.
Max: Nothing's gonna happen to Ma.
Bo: Yeah, right.
Max: No, all the Brady's are gonna stick together, just like they always do, and then Melanie's gonna be alone. I'm all she's got.
Stephanie: Well, that's sure what she wants you to think.
Melanie: You know what? I don't think I have to make you believe me.
Melanie: I think you already do. You know it doesn't mean anything I had my Father's wallet.
Philip: Bo might think it does.
Melanie: Because he wants to think at. But he'll twist anything. And you know that, so you're not gonna tell him, because you know I didn't kill him.
Philip: You see, that's where you're losing me. How do I know that when you don't know that yourself?
Melanie: Because you are the kind of guy that sees inside a woman. And somehow in this weird and upsetting night. You and I made a connection -- a very deep connection. [Chuckles] See, I've told you things, Philip, that I've never told anybody...because I saw in your eyes that I could trust you.
Melanie: Really. So I'm glad you came tonight, and I hope you are, too.
Kate: Just the man I wanted to see.
Daniel: What are you doing here?
Kate: What am I doing here? Couldn't you say, "good to see you, Kate"? Or how about, "you look stunning, Kate -- positively radiant, Kate"? That's okay. That's all right. I'm gonna tell you why I'm here, anyway. I am returning these. Do you think you could explain to your colleagues how they came in my position?
Daniel: Uh, no, and I won't have to if you stop waving them around. You need to calm down.
Kate: I don't want to calm down. Quite the contrary.
Daniel: Kate, no, we can't do this.
Sami: The witness protection program? No way, Dad. Not again.
Roman: Just until we get this guy.
Sami: Dad, how long would that take? I-I can't do that to my children. I can't put them somewhere weird that they don't even know and take them away from their family -- the people that love them.
Roman: They wouldn't go. Just you.
Sami: This gets better and better. You want me to be separated from my children?
Roman: Sami, listen to me. Think about what just happened. Your kids could end up without a mother.
Marlena: Roman --
Roman: No. She needs to face the facts. You won't be safe until that killer's in jail.
Sami: Oh, really? And with the Salem P.D.'s record, how long would that take? Dad, how can you ask me to be away from my kids for that long?
Lucas: Sami, even if you stay, you can't be with them. What if they were here tonight? I mean, being in the same room with you puts them at risk.
Sami: Oh, my God.
Marlena: Sami -- Sami, your children will be just fine. We'll all make sure of that. Look, your father will not rest until he finds this killer. You know that.
Sami: But you're saying that my kids are better off without me?
Marlena: No. Nobody said that.
Sami: What is she even doing here? Look at the look on her face. I mean, something goes wrong in my life, and she has to be here witnessing it, like -- like --
Chloe: Madame Defarge?
Sami: I don't even know -- uhh! Mom, I hate her so much.
Roman: Sami's right here. Sami's right. She doesn't need an audience around while she's trying to decide.
Sami: Dad, I have nothing to decide! I am not leaving my children with Lucas and E.J. I am their mother, and they need me. [E.J. clapping]
E.J.: Well done. Samantha, when you are right, you're right.
Lucas: I think you should butt out.
E.J.: This concerns my son. Thank you, Lucas. She does not need to go into a witness protection program. You can be safe here in Salem.
Roman: "Safe." Someone just shot at her, E.J.
E.J.: Yes, that hadn't slipped my mind. Thank you. But look at where she is, hmm? She's an easy target here. You would not be at the DiMera mansion.
E.J.: Marlena, you heard what I said. Don't pretend you didn't. What's more, you know I'm right.
Marlena: Don't dismiss me. Where do you think she would stay? What, in the lair? In the dungeon?
Sami: I'm not hanging out in the living room. That's for damn sure. My eyes are still burning from what I witnessed on the sofa.
E.J.: Samantha, come on.
Sami: Come on, E.J. The mayor was shot on your front doorstep. You have some nerve acting like the DiMera mansion would be safe.
E.J.: I know that you would be safe there, without having your entire life uprooted.
Chloe: I don't know. The way her life's been going, a change of pace could be nice.
Roman: This is none of your business, Chloe. Shut up.
Sami: Why don't you wait outside or in Alabama or something?
E.J.: Enough arguing, I think, Samantha. Let's go home.
Marlena: No, that is not her home.
Roman: I have a friend at the bureau. I'll give him a call.
Sami: Why is he doing that? Did he not hear me say that I am not prepared to leave Salem and leave my children for God knows how long?
Lucas: Have you really thought this through, Sami? I'll tell you again. You got to do this for your children. You got to do what's right and keep them protected and safe.
Sami: Oh. You're right.
Kate: I hate it when you're so serious.
Daniel: I don't care if --
Kate: Okay. All right. Do you want to break it off again? Because that's okay. No regrets. Just don't be so somber and sorrowful about it, okay?
Daniel: Stop. You've been going a mile a minute since you got here. We're like a couple of kids going to the beach.
Kate: Is there something wrong with that?
Daniel: I'm a doctor. I've seen this before. I know you're in agony, waiting for yet another test result.
Kate: So now you're gonna be my shrink -- is that it?
Daniel: No, I'm just trying to be your friend. It is making me crazy, too. I've already called the lab three times to get the latest biopsy results.
Kate: Well, you don't have to do that anymore.
Daniel: Did you just get the results?
Kate: No, it just doesn't really matter, because I haven't coughed in over 24 hours and I'm feeling fine. I have my appetite back. Actually, I have my appetites back.
Daniel: Well, I'm glad to hear that, but --
Kate: Don't do that, because I've thought about this, and if I had a malignant tumor growing inside of me, wouldn't the best doctors in town have found out about it by now?
Daniel: Not necessarily.
Kate: Stop being so realistic, okay? You told me to live my life as if I weren't dying. And if I'm not dying, then I want you. And if I am dying, I want you. I want to make love to you. And I want to feel. I don't want to think.
Daniel: I-I know.
Kate: I don't want to think about someone that I don't know looking at my cells under a microscope.
Daniel: I know.
Kate: No. No, you don't know. But that's okay.
Chelsea: Hey, Sandy, have you seen Dr. Jonas anywhere?
Sandy: He was just here. Maybe he's in there.
Sami: You're right.
Sami: I said you're right... about everything. I'm sorry I've been so difficult, Mom, and, Dad, I'm sorry about the crack I made about the Salem P.D.
Marlena: What's going on here?
Sami: Lucas made me see reason, that I need to put my kids first.
Lucas: I did?
Sami: So I'm, uh, I'm gonna go into the program.
E.J.: Samantha, you do not have to do this.
Sami: Yeah, E.J., I kind of do, so, um, Daddy, you can tell your friend I'll do it, and I guess I'll pack and get ready to go.
E.J.: Wait -- wait a second. I don't understand. You were 100% against this idea. And then two seconds later, you do a complete 180?
Sami: I -- they convinced me to see reason.
E.J.: No, you don't work like that.
Sami: Look, E.J., I've been through a lot today. I was shot at and humiliated and embarrassed and yelled at, and I have a very difficult decision to make, so I don't need you trying to second-guess me.
E.J.: Can't we talk about this, at least?
Roman: No. It's what she said.
Marlena: I think you're doing the right thing.
Sami: I do, too.
Marlena: I'm not sure why you're doing it.
Sami: Lucas -- he explained to me, made me see that I was being unreasonable.
Marlena: You're taking his advice?
Sami: Do you think I shouldn't do it?
Marlena: I agree with your father. I think it's the safest thing for you.
Sami: Then let's stop talking about it before I change my mind again.
Marlena: Oh, honey, honey.
Max: Want something?
Stephanie: I wouldn't mind it if you woke up.
Max: Okay. Here we go.
Stephanie: Do you really think that you're the only man that Melanie uses that "I am all alone in this world" line on?
Max: I am her only brother.
Stephanie: And she plays that for all it's worth.
Max: You know, before when you said that we were just over and done with, I thought that would mean that there would be an end to your 24-7 trashing of Melanie. But you know what I love about this whole situation?
Bo: You guys really broke up?
Max: You never run out of material. And you don't even know anything about her.
Stephanie: And you do?
Max: Yeah, I do. I know she doesn't go around trashing people.
Stephanie: No. She murders them and let's your mother take the blame for it.
Max: So that makes it okay for you to go sneaking around to Bo and Hope?
Stephanie: I was trying to do what was right.
Bo: I'm gonna take over the bar.
Max: Why did you show up, huh? Did it just suddenly hit you that maybe this weren't bad enough between the two of us, you'd come down here and make it worse?
Stephanie: I thought maybe I had been a little too rash, but now I see I did exactly the right thing.
Max: Oh, okay.
Stephanie: If you need me to come back down to the police station and sign a sworn statement about what Melanie said, I'd be more than happy to do so. And you --
Stephanie: No. I'm not gonna do this. I'm not gonna cry in front of you.
Max: Wha-- what the hell is there even to cry about?
Bo: Let me think. Uh, she's in love with an idiot.
Melanie: Somehow I knew you'd be really, really good at that.
Philip: And you're not exactly a novice, are you?
Melanie: Now, I'm not sure that's a very nice thing to say.
Melanie: True... but not very nice. Now, did anyone ever tell you you have really nice eyes?
Philip: Before we do something we regret --
Melanie: Regret? You plan on regretting this?
Philip: Well... I just hope you remember it in the morning.
Melanie: And why wouldn't I?
Philip: Well, you can't remember whether or not you killed your father. Maybe you don't know what you're doing right now.
Melanie: Is that supposed to be funny?
Philip: No. There's just missing pieces to your life. Maybe this isn't a good time to --
Melanie: No, I think that this is a great time. I also think that this would be a great time for you to stop talking.
Kate: Ooh. Damn.
Daniel: Oh, my God. I got to see who that is.
Chelsea: Daniel, I -- uh, I'm -- I'm sorry. I-I didn't know that you were --
Kate: With a patient? It's a good idea to check first.
Chelsea: I'm sorry. Uh, what -- are -- are you okay?
Kate: Yes. I'm fine. I'm getting so tired of that question.
Chelsea: It's just that you seem -- but why are you here to see Daniel? I mean, are you sure that you're feeling all right?
Kate: Yes. I'm fine. I'm here because I was returning something that he left behind the other day.
Daniel: You needed to, uh, you needed to talk to me?
Chelsea: Y-yeah. Uh, well, I was just gonna ask you to go over some O.T. files with me.
Daniel: That's fine. I just got to get up to I.C.U. for a minute.
Chelsea: It's not urgent, so, um, I guess just call me when you can.
Daniel: No. You know what? It won't take long. Why don't you stay here with Kate? I'll be right back.
Chelsea: So, uh, what exactly did Daniel leave behind?
Kate: [Clears throat]
Roman: All right. Thanks.
Sami: So, when do I go?
Roman: Right away. We can't give this guy a chance to regroup. We need to get you to the safe house as soon as possible.
Sami: But my babies --
Roman: I'll bring them to you...so you can say goodbye.
Sami: "Say goodbye."
Lucas: Allie and Johnny are with Caroline.
Roman: Well, uh, no, they're not. As soon as I heard what happened, I had Hope pick up both kids. They're with her, and a squad car is assigned to watch them.
Lucas: Well, good. Thanks.
Sami: What am I supposed to say to them? There's no way to make them understand this.
E.J.: Samantha, look. You can still change your mind. You don't have to do this. You don't.
Sami: I have to pack. [Door opens]
E.J.: What's going on?
Lucas: What's the matter with you? She's just thinking about the kids.
E.J.: No. That is not all she's inking about. You don't think so, either.
Bo: You want to be mad with me -- fine. But you really got to try to work things out with your girl there.
Max: I have. She doesn't want to have it.
Bo: Have you ever tried, "I'm sorry"? It works well. I know you're trying to do the right thing by your sister.
Max: Really? Because you've never bent the rules for anyone in your family -- not ever -- right?
Bo: Good. Good. That's good. Be mad with me. But you screw things up with Stephanie, you really are an idiot. [Cellphone rings] I got to get this. Don't blow it.
Max: [Clears throat] Okay. I'm sorry -- kind of.
Stephanie: Me too -- kind of. Just now I was trying to sort things out. I don't know why all this makes me so angry.
Max: Because you hate Melanie.
Stephanie: You're right, I do, because I have a brain. But, Max, you're so kind and good that you just don't see what she's really like.
Max: Haven't we been through this before already?
Stephanie: What scares me is that you're gonna let her get away with this.
Max: With what? We don't know what happened. Maybe it was an accident. Maybe it was one of the 3,000 people that Trent screwed over in his lifetime.
Stephanie: But what if it was Melanie and somebody else gets hurt because you're stopping Bo and the police from finding out the truth?
Max: Maybe you're right, okay? I-it's just --
Stephanie: Just what?
Max: It's just she's so scared and she's all alone.
Melanie: See? [Chuckles] I don't think we need to use words to communicate just fine.
Philip: You think so?
Melanie: I know so.
Philip: Then you're wrong.
Melanie: What the hell is your problem?
Philip: Nothing. I just don't know how odd I feel about sleeping with a killer.
Kate: [Exhales deeply] Hoy, you -- you don't have to wait here with me. I know you have to get back to work.
Chelsea: Uh, actually, I'm on break.
Chelsea: And truth be told, I'm kind of glad that I ran into you, 'cause, uh, I was thinking about calling you later.
Chelsea: Yeah. Uh, about the talk that we had a little bit ago about the whole forgiveness thing. Um, I spoke with Lexie, and --
Kate: Sweetie, don't -- don't be upset. It's okay.
Chelsea: I just think that after everything I went through with Nick and my Mom that when I found out about you and Daniel...
Kate: I know. I do know.
Chelsea: It just hurts, because I love you so much. And...I get so ma at you and so emotional.
Kate: Of course you do. That's what I love about you so much.
Chelsea: Anyway, uh, I know that things with you and Daniel are over, and that they're in the past, so... [Sniffles] Um, I'm ready to forgive you if you'd -- if you'd be my grandmother again.
Kate: Chelsea, I was always your grandmother. I just wasn't a perfect one.
Chelsea: It's like you said. Who am I, really, to pass judgment? [Sniffles] And Lexie told me that it's in the past, and I think that she's right. So... not only am I ready to forgive, but, um, I'm ready to forget.
Kate: Thank you.
Chelsea: Thank you. You didn't lie to me. You were just honest the whole time. Uh, is this -- is that what you're returning to Daniel? This?
Lucas: I know how hard this is for you, to leave Allie and Johnny, and I'm just so proud you're doing it. You're doing the right thing. You're being a great mother. You know, you're being totally selfless. Are you listening to me right now? Do you even care?
Sami: Of course I'm listening, Lucas. I just -- [Zipper closing]
Lucas: What? This isn't about Allie and Johnny anymore, is it? This is about you and your little secret, right?
Sami: [Clears throat] I'm solving all my problems -- a lot of my problems -- at once, right? And it is gonna help Allie and Johnny, too.
Lucas: Yeah. And E.J. won't be able to chart your, uh, waistline anymore. He won't be able to tell.
Sami: I'm doing what you want.
Sami: Give me a break.
Lucas: I mean, you'd think I'd be used to it. You'd think I'd be used to the fact that you don't think ahead. But this takes the cake. What are you gonna do if your dad finds the guy tomorrow?
Sami: That's not happening.
Lucas: Fine. Fine. Say it doesn't happen and you come back with a baby. What are you gonna do then? What are you gonna say? "Oh, look what I picked up for a song at a yard sale. It's a baby that looks just like E.J."
Sami: Okay, stop it, all right? This is really hard for me, and I could really use your support right now.
Lucas: I am trying to support you. I'm doing my best, but you -- you don't get it.
Sami: Lucas, I get it, all right? I understand that this isn't gonna last forever, but I will have some time to figure it out, okay? This buys me some time... but only if you help me -- only if you keep my secret. You have to make sure that Chloe doesn't say anything, either. Please. Lucas, if you ever cared about me... promise me you won't say anything. Please.
Sami: Lucas -- Lucas, please.
Lucas: I'm just not happy about keeping your little secret, all right?
Sami: I know. I know. But you've done it for this long, and -- what am I talking about? My God. What kind of life am I living here?
Lucas: Just relax, all right? Hang on. Just hang on. Things will get better.
Sami: How is that possible? I'm -- I'm gonna be away from my kids.
Lucas: Right. Right. Until Roman catches the guy. That's all.
Sami: I guess this is just about what I deserve -- isn't it? -- After everything I've done -- to you -- keeping will from you, everything. Karmic payback's a bitch, isn't it?
Lucas: I don't know about that, but... I'll do it, all right? If that's what you want, I will keep your pregnancy a secret.
Sami: Thank you. Thanks.
Lucas: Well, there is a -- a "but."
Sami: Of course there is, Lucas.
Lucas: I mean, I just don't mean to make things worse for you, but --
Sami: How could you?
Lucas: I mean, if you go into the program, don't you have to tell somebody that you're pregnant? I mean, you have tests and stuff they got to do, right?
Sami: I don't know. I mean, I just found out I'm going into this program an hour ago after someone shot at me.
Lucas: If you told E.J., it wouldn't be a problem. This thing would be out in the open.
Sami: "Out in the open." Right. And -- and he'd hate me, and he'd --
Lucas: He'd leave you? I mean, who cares, really? I don't know what you see in that guy. You think Chloe's bad --
Sami: Can we please not go there right now? There's a lot of things that I'm scared about. I mean, I'm scared about leaving Johnny in that house with Stefano and Nicole -- two people who would love to turn my son against me. And they'll have so much --
Lucas: Don't worry about it. It's not gonna happen, okay? I won't let it happen.
Lucas: What? What? What's the matter?
Sami: You know what's really crazy about this whole thing?
Sami: I'm probably the only person in the whole world whose life gets simpler when they go into the witness protection program.
Melanie: So, you have really nice eyes, but you're a really big jerk.
Philip: Nobody's perfect.
Melanie: Was that fun for you, leading me on like that and then accusing me of murder?
Philip: Leading you on? You could give Paris Hilton a few tips.
Melanie: I-I told you things, Philip.
Philip: Sex doesn't work, so you subject to tears?
Melanie: You're being horrible. I was gonna...
Philip: What? What? Give yourself to me? I mean, you do see, don't you that these past 30 minutes was a pretty clear admission of guilt?
Philip: You wouldn't have done any of this if you didn't desperately want to keep me quiet.
Melanie: So you really lead me on.
Philip: I just wanted to see how you played it. A little advice -- the tearful story about your father pimping you out -- it loses all credibility once you use sex as a medium of exchange. Why don't you straighten up, fix your hair?
Philip: We're going out.
Philip: To face the music.
Max: Is Sami gonna be all right?
Bo: Yeah, she'll be fine. Roman's not gonna let anything happen to her. So, you two talking again?
Stephanie: I guess.
Max: Sort of.
Stephanie: I still think he's making a big mistake.
Max: Really? Really? I didn't quite get that. Maybe the 14th time will do the trick.
Bo: Okay, okay. How about we try to move forward? Forget about what Melanie did or did not say.
Stephanie: She said she did it.
Bo: And it's my job to prove that she did.
Bo: Or that she didn't. You know, Max, it may come as a surprise to you, but I do not want to pin a murder rap on an innocent person. But that doesn't mean I'm not going to continue to investigate a prime suspect.
Stephanie: Speak of the devil. What a surprise, Max. It looks like she wasn't all alone after all.
Philip: Well, isn't this convenient?
Philip: I was gonna take you to the police station, but everybody's already here.
Melanie: Philip --
Philip: Melanie, you've already tried sex and tears, and I've got all the money I'll ever need. You are officially out of options. Hey, Bo... got your handcuffs handy?
Chelsea: There's stupid, and then there's Chelsea stupid.
Kate: Sweetie --
Chelsea: Don't call me that. Do you know what I thought when I came in here...and I saw you and Daniel alone together in a room and you're all flushed and breathing hard? And then I thought, "no, Chelsea, she's sick. And what a great opportunity to tell her that I actually forgive her, because I know that everything is in the past."
Kate: Chelsea, I'm sorry.
Chelsea: You always are, but that doesn't stop you from sleeping with him again. I'm sorry. What, was the cabana a little too tame for you? You felt you needed to get a quickie in at the hospital? Knowing I was on duty -- did that make it a little more exciting for you?
Kate: Stop it, okay? Just stop it. I know that you're hurt, but you will not talk to me that way.
Chelsea: Why? Because you're my grandmother? 'Cause you certainly don't act like one.
Kate: No, because it's damaging to you. Chelsea, you and Daniel are not together any longer. That was your decision.
Chelsea: You certainly didn't waste any time taking advantage of that, did you?
Kate: I treated it as an adult decision. And I know that it must be painful to find out about it this way, but I'm not ashamed of it. And at your age, I think you should be past temper tantrums.
Philip: So I thought it might be important for you to know that I saw Melanie with Trent's wallet after the murder.
Philip: Not exactly a smoking gun, but close, huh?
Bo: And it didn't occur to you to tell me this till just now?
Philip: I didn't understand the significance of it at the time.
Bo: She had a dead man's wallet and you didn't understand the signif-- it doesn't give me faith that you know how to run Titan Enterprises.
Philip: Don't say thank you or anything, Bo.
Bo: I won't, 'cause not only did you not tell me, you obviously went and talked it over with your little girlfriend here. Or were you, uh, making a citizen's arrest?
Philip: I wanted to be sure. I didn't want to misread the situation, and now I know I didn't.
Bo: You want to tell me why?
Philip: Let's just say she was desperate to keep me quiet.
Melanie: Yeah, because I knew how he'd take it.
Max: I don't think you should say anything until you get a lawyer, Mel.
Melanie: I dot need one, Max, because it's just their word against mine, okay? They don't have any proof. There were no fingerprints on that wallet. Nobody saw me in the cemetery that night. You don't have anything. So if you think I'm gonna lay down and die so that you can protect your precious Ma, you have another think coming.
Sami: I don't know how to say goodbye to them. I-I don't know if I'm strong enough to do this.
Marlena: I know. Oh, sweetie. You have to keep it together in front of them. You don't want to frighten them.
Sami: I know. I know. It's been hard packing, you know, when you don't know where you're going.
Marlena: Sure. You realize when you leave here that you can't contact us? You can't even telephone anybody.
Sami: Yeah, I know.
Marlena: So, is there anything you want to say to me before you go?
Sami: What do you mean?
Marlena: I don't know. I just thought there might be something. Just a mother's instinct that you might want to talk to me.
[Knock on door]
E.J.: Hey. I just thought I'd give you a heads-up. Your dad's here.
Sami: Nothing. Nothing at all.
Roman: All right. Here we go.
Marlena: Oh, my goodness.
Roman: Here we go.
E.J.: Come here.
Sami: Oh! Hi! Wow, isn't this a fun surprise, sweetheart? Oh, look at her.
Lucas: She's teething a little bit.
Sami: Oh, sweetheart.
Sami: Oh! Bunny.
Lucas: I know.
Sami: I know. Mama's here. Mama's here.
E.J.: What? I know.
Sami: My little princess.
Melanie: You guys should see your faces. It's like you smelled something bad.
Bo: Max has a good point. You might want to, uh -- how should I put it? -- Shut up.
Melanie: Are you gonna read me my rights? Do I have the right to remain silent?
Bo: No. Not yet. But, uh, don't leave town.
Melanie: Oh, so you think I'm gonna stay around this hellhole and let you guys frame me? No, I don't think so.
Max: You can't go, Mel.
Melanie: Watch me.
Max: Oh, boy.
Bo: So, Stephanie was right. Melanie confessed.
Sami: I have an idea. Johnny, Allie, you both will draw me pictures every single day that I'm gone. And when I get home, I can look at them. I can look at every single one of them.
E.J.: That's a good idea, don't you think, pal? It's a good idea.
Lucas: I'll get Allie some crayons. Don't worry about it.
Sami: Yeah. Yeah. See that? You'll get some crayons. And you're gonna be such a good girl, and Johnny will be such a good boy. But why am I even saying that? That is so crazy, 'cause you're always so good. You are always such a good girl.
Roman: Sami, can I talk to you a minute?
Sami: Yeah. Come on, sweetheart. Let's go talk to grandpa. Yeah.
Roman: You can't take this with you.
Roman: You can't take anything that will tie you to your life here.
Sami: But Dad, I won't show them to anyone. I promise. I'll -- I'll hide them. I'll keep them a secret.
Roman: The agent on your case -- he will go through everything. He will confiscate this.
Sami: [Inhales sharply] I can't take pictures with me? I don't think I can -- I don't think I can do this. [Sniffles]
Chelsea: Temper tantrums? Oh, you really are a piece of work, aren't you?
Kate: And you need to grow up. You need to act your age.
Chelsea: You know what's funny, Grandma? I did grow up my whole life hearing about what an awful person you are and how everybody hated you. But I knew that they were wrong, because I knew the real you. They just weren't strong or smart enough to deal with you. Well, it turns out, guess what, the joke's on me again because I was wrong again. Yes, you are strong. Yes, you are smart. But you are just another self-centered bitch. I want you out of my life forever. [Sniffles]
Kate: Be careful what you wish for. Are those the results?
Daniel: Maybe you should wait outside.
Kate: No. This could be the answer to her prayer's. Read it.
Daniel: "Metastatic carcinoma."
Chelsea: No. [Sniffles]
Philip: Hey, you just gonna let her leave like that?
Bo: I don't need you to tell me how to do my job. Next time you get the urge to play hardy boy, curb it.
Stephanie: I know how much you wanted to believe in her. This must be killing you.
Max: She -- she says she doesn't remember. So maybe --
Stephanie: It was all a bad dream? Max, a man is dead.
Max: You don't know what growing up was like for her -- what the bastard did to her.
Stephanie: It doesn't say, "thou shall not kill unless you have a good reason." And even if she was driven to do it and she did it in a trance, she still managed to swipe his wallet.
Max: You just don't understand her.
Stephanie: No, Max, I don't understand you.
Melanie: Well, you know what? I don't really care what bus line as long as I get out of --
Roman: Sami, there's not much time.
Sami: Yeah, I, uh, I think I can. I think I can.
Marlena: All right. Okay. I'll, uh, I'll be right there.
Sami: Mom, are you leaving?
Marlena: I'm -- I'm so sorry. It's an emergency, and I've got no one to cover me.
Sami: No, it's okay. It's okay. I understand.
Marlena: I will call you, and we will say goodbye again on the phone.
Sami: Okay. Okay.
Marlena: Wow. Love you so much. I'm so proud of you -- your courage.
Sami: Thanks, Mom. I learned it from you.
Marlena: It's gonna be okay. I love you.
Roman: I'll, uh, see you out at the car, Sami.
Chloe: I'll help you.
Sami: Johnny lost his car.
E.J.: He did. He dropped it. We got it.
Chelsea: We knew she was sick, but we were just too preoccupied with our own little issues. Now, what if it's too late?
Nick: You going somewhere?
Melanie: Yeah, I'm getting the hell out of Salem.
Nicole: If E.J. is holding that little twit's hand while I'm standing here and growing stretch marks, I swear I'm gonna shoot them both.
