Lucas: Oh, God, Sami, you didn't do it, did you? Did you have an abortion?

Caroline: Hi, Max. Hi, Stephanie.

Max: Hi, Ma. Why's the -- why's the pub closed?

Caroline: Oh, it's just a couple of hours. The Salem U. Alumni Association is having its annual luncheon. Is everything all right?

Stephanie: We just wanted to tell you something, and we wanted you to hear it from us.

Caroline: Oh, from the look on your face, this must be something about Trent's murder.

Stephanie: It is.

Max: You're not a prime suspect anymore.

Caroline: Did someone come forward?

Max: Well, Trent's wallet somehow ended up in Stephanie's purse.

Caroline: What?! Do you know how it got there?

Stephanie: We have a pretty good idea.

Max: Anyway...we took it down to Bo, you know, 'cause it was evidence so we could see if he could get some fingerprints off it.

Stephanie: And the only ones they found were Max's and mine.

Caroline: Well, how could that be? Well, Bo certainly doesn't think either one of you is guilty.

Max: It doesn't matter what he thinks, Ma. The facts are right there in front of him.

Stephanie: Someone planted that wallet in my purse. I'm sure of it.

Caroline: Well, who could do such a thing?

E.J.: Hey.

Lexie: Is Father here?

E.J.: He is, yes. Head on in.

Stefano: Ah, Alexandra. Just in time to celebrate.

Lexie: "Celebrate"?

Stefano: [Sighs] Well, you want to tell her or shall I?

E.J.: You know, why don't you do the honors, Father? Nicole, could I get a word with you, please?

Nicole: Oh, uh, yes.

Stefano: All right, come.

Nicole: Thank you. Hi, Lexie.

Lexie: Hi.

E.J.: Thank you. Excuse us.

Stefano: [Sighs]

Lexie: What's going on?

Stefano: What do you think little Theodore would feel about having...a new little cousin? Hmm? Because Elvis and Nicole are going to be parents. Now, isn't that marvelous, huh? Another DiMera heir.

Lexie: If that's what E.J. wants, I'm happy for him.

Stefano: Yes. I can see that you are really thrilled. Frankly, I'm surprised to see you. It's been a long time.

Lexie: Actually, I'm here about another of your heirs.

Stefano: I assume you mean little Theodore. He is all right, no?

Lexie: He'll be fine... as long as you do your part.

Stefano: My part. I-I-I don't follow.

Lexie: Your grandson Theo needs you to do something very important for him. And you damn well better come through.

Dr. Sanders: You have to leave, sir.

Sami: No. No, he's a friend. Um, I'd actually like to talk to him alone for a minute, if that's okay?

Lucas: Thank you very much.

Sami: Come on, Lucas.

Lucas: I just felt so responsible because told you I wasn't gonna help you, and then I thought that's why you came here.

Sami: Okay, okay. It's okay. I-I know you were trying to get me to do the right thing. I understand. No, Lucas, the only reason I came here is because...everybody knows me at University Hospital. I couldn't go there.

Lucas: Yeah, I understand. I understand. I just thought -- when I came in, you were crying, and I just --

Sami: No, I was crying because...I made a big decision.

Lucas: About what?

Sami: But you still can't tell anyone, okay? Until I give you permission, you can't tell anyone that I'm pregnant.

Lucas: We've been over this. I told you I wasn't gonna say anything, but you haven't answered my question. What decision?

Chloe: Excuse me. Hi, I just got a 911 from my friend Sami Brady. She said she was at this clinic, and she wanted to see me right away. Where exactly is she?

Melanie: Oh, goody. The whole gang's here. Isn't that just swell?

Caroline: Well, I will let you kids talk, and I have to look after the twins.

Max: I'll see you later, Ma.

Caroline: Okay. Melanie.

Melanie: Tootles. You know, I think I'm actually gonna bounce, too. It's two-for-one day at the pretzel palace, and I hear sodium and starch are the best way to start the day, so...

Stephanie: You are not going anywhere.

Nicole: Okay.

E.J.: Come on.

Nicole: I can open my eyes now?

E.J.: You can open your eyes now.

Nicole: Wow. My first apartment wasn't half this size.

E.J.: So, I thought this could be the baby's room, as it's next-door to yours. We could get rid of all this old furniture, and if it turns out it's a girl, we can paint it pink.

Nicole: It's perfect. E.J., you -- you have no idea how much this means to me -- you taking care of me and -- and making me feel so welcome.

E.J.: Nicole, you're carrying my child, you know? There's nothing I wouldn't do for him or her.

Nicole: So you've said.

E.J.: There's also nothing that I would fail to do if I felt that our child's security or well-being was being compromised in any way.

Nicole: Well, I'm on the same page with you there.

E.J.: You are?

Nicole: Yes.

E.J.: Good. Good. Because for a moment there downstairs, I thought maybe you were willing to compromise some of that in order to ingratiate yourself into my Father's company.

Nicole: What? N-no.

E.J.: Okay, will you excuse me? I have to go and see if cook has --

Nicole: E.J., wait, wait, wait, please. Did I do something wrong?

E.J.: Yes. As a matter of fact, you did.

Melanie: Get your hands off me.

Stephanie: Not until you admit what you did.

Melanie: Are you gonna let her manhandle me like this?

Max: Steph, let me handle this, all right?

Melanie: Thank you, Max. Isn't that sweet the way he looks after his little sister like that? Love you, too, bro.

Max: Not so fast, all right?

Melanie: What is with everyone's mood today?

Max: You owe us an explanation. Tell me exactly how Trent's wallet ended up in Stephanie's purse.

Melanie: Come again?

Stephanie: You heard him.

Melanie: Oh, my God. It was you. What did you do to my Father?

Max: Mel, don't do this.

Stephanie: It was a setup. Someone planted that wallet in my purse.

Melanie: Now, who would do such a thing?

Max: You know exactly who. It was you, and all three of us here know that.

Nicole: E.J., if this is about your father, I-I --

E.J.: You catch on very quickly.

Nicole: Why are you so angry? I was just being friendly to the guy.

E.J.: No, you weren't, Nicole. You were being a lot more than that. You were trying to bond with the guy.

Nicole: Would you stop?

E.J.: No, would you just do me a favor, okay, please, and keep your distance from my Father?

Nicole: He's our kid's grandfather.

E.J.: Look, I thought I had explained all of this. Maybe I didn't make myself very clear.

Nicole: Explain what?

E.J.: Nicole, my Father is obsessed with this idea of having an heir.

Nicole: So? He's a family man. Is that a crime?

E.J.: Tell me you don't understand this. It's about a lot more than that for my Father. It's not just the pitter-patter of tiny feet running around the DiMera mansion. He sees this as an opportunity to perpetuate his legacy. Now, is that something that you want for our child?

Nicole: Of course not. He was just being so kind.

E.J.: It was a manipulation, okay? He's trying to win you over so that he can get into our child's life. Don't be so naive.

Nicole: I'm not. I guess I'm not. I-I --

E.J.: Nicole, I have been through this before with Samantha. And it's one of the reasons, if not the reason, that our relationship didn't work.

Nicole: What would a conversation be without her entering into it?

E.J.: Nicole, this has nothing to do her. It's about us.

Nicole: Sami Brady -- what else is new? Somehow it always comes back to her, doesn't it?

Chloe: Can I see my friend? She sounded really upset.

Dr. Sanders: You'll have to wait outside, Miss.

Chloe: No, no, please. She said it was an emergency.

Dr. Sanders: I'm sorry.

Nurse: Excuse me, doctor, the patient in room four needs to see you right away. Excuse me.

Chloe: Yes!

Nurse: Do we need more gloves in exam one?

Lucas: We're going in circles here.

Sami: Look, I just need a little more time, okay? If E.J. found out that you knew about the pregnancy before he did, it would poison everything. Don't you think?

Lucas: You put this off any longer, it's gonna blow up in your face.

Sami: I agree with you, okay? I realize that I don't have a choice. I'm telling you I'm going to tell E.J. the truth. I really agree that it's the right thing to do. I just need a little more time. Till the end of the day, okay? Because there's someone else I have to talk to before I tell E.J.

Lucas: Wait, who's that?

Sami: No more questions. Thank you for understanding.

Lexie: I thought Lacey Hansen would be the perfect person to take care of my precious little boy. Instead, she ends up being a deranged, pathological liar.

Stefano: Damn it. I know this has got to be difficult.

Lexie: The mayor put her up to it. Now it's all over the internet, the tabloids -- horrible lies about Abe and my family.

Stefano: You know, Alexandra, politics can be very dirty at times.

Lexie: Do tell.

Stefano: No, I'm just saying that --

Lexie: What, that because it's politics, it's okay? This -- this is about destroying people's lives, their reputations, their careers. The mayor implied -- no, no. He worse than implied -- he stated as fact that Abe and I aren't fit to be parents. He even [Sighs]

Stefano: What?

Lexie: God. He, uh, he dug into my -- my past, and, um, he brought up something that...I'm not proud of. My affairs with Brandon Walker and Tek Kramer.

Stefano: Oh. Uh...my goodness, my dear. Well, I am sure this has got to be very painful.

Lexie: I can handle the dirt he's digging up on me, but the second he dragged my little boy into this, he crossed the line. At first, I wanted Abe to just back off, just get out of the race, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized we need -- we need to defend ourselves. Abe needs to stand up to that deranged, horrible, horrible, destructive man. And I'm gonna stand up right -- right there by him, right by his side. I'm gonna fight with all my heart and soul. Right now, my husband is Salem's best bet to give Marino a one-way ticket out of city hall.

Stefano: Alexandra, I'm sure that this is gonna resolve itself very shortly. The mayor will [Clears throat] Back down eventually.

Lexie: You're gonna make sure that happens.

Stefano: I don't think I understand.

Lexie: I know you've solicited favors from Marino with campaign contributions.

Stefano: What makes you think that?

Lexie: Look, I don't have time for games, all right? You either end your association with Marino immediately or your relationship with your grandson will be a thing of the past. Theo will have nothing to do with you ever again. The choice is yours.

Stefano: Look, Alexandra --

Lexie: Let me know when you decide. You know how to find me.

Stefano: [Grunts] That stupid bastard.

Janice: Excuse me. Who are you?

Chloe: Hi. I-I'm Kelly -- pharmaceutical rep. Dr. Sanders asked me to wait here.

Janice: Ah. Uh, you do realize he could be a while.

Chloe: Oh, yeah, that's okay. This is my last stop for the day.

E.J.: Nicole, this has nothing to do with Samantha.

Nicole: Oh, come on, E.J. everything has something to do with Samantha. [Sighs] E.J...I thought you understood that this is a fresh start for me. The chance for me to do -- to do something meaningful, to be really good at something. And I-I just -- I really want to be a loving and caring mother. And I want my child to always know that he or she is my first priority, the most precious and important thing to me in the world.

E.J.: Nicole, I want that, too. It's just -- it's been incredibly difficult with Johnny for obvious reasons, you know? And I carry around this tremendous amount of...guilt and sadness. Because, you know, him and his mother and I, we were never able to be a family.

Nicole: I'm sure you do. But now, E.J...with this baby and with me, it doesn't have to be that way. You could do it right this time. You could have everything you ever dreamed.

E.J.: I'm sorry. You're absolutely right.

Nicole: I'm getting a second chance, and so are you.

E.J.: [Chuckles]

Nicole: But this doesn't mean anything if you can't let go of your past with Sami.

Caroline: See the bird? It's -- it's a cardinal, you know. It's pretty, isn't it? See that? Uh-oh! Oh, Sami! Hi! Look who's here.

Sami: Hi, sweetie. Hi, squirmy. Oh! Oh! Grandma will get your truck.

Caroline: All of them.

Sami: I'll let her get your truck. Can you hand me the yellow truck?

Caroline: Yes.

Sami: Thank you, Grandma. Thank you so much for helping me out with everything.

Caroline: You know I love to do this. And the other one is asleep like an angel.

Sami: [Laughs] Well, it is nap time. He never listens, though. Hey, Grandma, how is it going with the Trent Robbins' case?

Caroline: Well, I really don't know what's happening, you know? It's just a big mess.

Sami: I wish they would find out who did this so it can be all over.

Caroline: Oh, yes, my dear. The sooner, the better.

Melanie: Are you gonna believe your neurotic, hostile girlfriend over your own sister?

Stephanie: I knew she was gonna pull this.

Melanie: You need to shut up.

Max: Don't talk to her that way.

Melanie: Boy, she has you whipped.

Max: That's enough.

Melanie: You're right. Let's all bow down to Princess Stephanie, shall we?

Max: I said that's enough! All right, cut it out! Look, we won't be mad at you.

Stephanie: The hell we won't.

Max: We just want to know the truth. That's all.

Melanie: The truth is I didn't touch that damn wallet.

Stephanie: Then who did?

Melanie: What am I, a psychic?

Stephanie: Well, Melanie, you just happen to be at the right place at the right time, at the police station?

Melanie: Okay, so let me get this straight -- you think I took my Father's wallet -- exhibit "A" in a murder case -- and slipped it into your purse in a roomful of cops. Pretty gutsy move on my part. Don't you think?

Stephanie: I'm gonna strangle her.

Melanie: Sure you wouldn't rather put a knife in my back?

Max: Will you stop it, both of you, right now?! Cut it out!

Melanie: I have an idea. How about we take the wallet down to the police station and have it dusted for prints? Genius, right? So, where is it, Max? Where's the wallet? [Chuckling] Oh. I get it. You've already taken the wallet down to the police station. Thought my fingerprints would be all over it? So tell me -- were they? Come on, guys. I'm on pins and needles.

Max: No, they weren't.

Melanie: Well, there we go. Mystery solved. And I think somebody owes me an apology.

Stephanie: How's this for an apology?

Melanie: Whoa!

Max: Whoa, hey.

Stephanie: How does that feel?

Max: Cut it out! Let go!

Melanie: Get this raging bitch off me!

Max: Get your hand off of her.

Melanie: You were right, girl.

Max: Stop it, both of you! What the hell is wrong with you two?

Melanie: She started it!

Stephanie: And I'm gonna finish it.

Melanie: Yeah?! Boy, she's a real pistol, isn't she?

Max: Stop. Let me talk to you for a second.

Melanie: Yeah, that's right, Max. You put her in her place.

Max: Shut up for two seconds, okay? I am sorry that she is a handful.

Stephanie: She's a lunatic.

Max: Let me talk to her for 10 minutes to get this sorted out, okay?

Stephanie: There's no way I'm leaving you alone with a murderer.

Mayor Marino: Everything's falling into place.

Man: Bit with the Carvers' babysitter? That was a stroke of luck.

Mayor Marino: Thanks to Lacey Hansen, Carver's campaign is D.O.A.

Lexie: You couldn't be more wrong. Actually, it's your campaign that's going down, Mr. Mayor.

Caroline: Sami, are you okay?

Sami: Oh, yeah, I'm just thinking about them. I can't believe they're gonna be a year next week.

Caroline: Oh, I remember when they were born. They were so tiny and so fragile. [Chuckles]

Sami: Yep, but they are not babies anymore, are they?

Caroline: No. I guess they'll always be babies to me. [Both laugh] Oh, there's a man selling balloons. Johnny, would you like a balloon?

Sami: You're gonna get a balloon from your grandma.

Caroline: I'm gonna go get us some, okay?

Sami: Thank you, Grandma.

Caroline: Okay.

Sami: Did you hear that? You're getting a balloon, buddy. How cool is that? Hey, listen, Johnny, are you ready to have a baby brother or sister, sweetie? Are you ready for that? 'Cause I know I'm not. What do you see up there? What's in that tree? It's actually a pretty big surprise, you know? And...it actually caught me off guard. But here's the thing -- you know I, um -- I don't know if I'm gonna be able to handle it, sweetie. If you can believe it, I haven't even told your daddy about it yet. And it's 'cause I'm scared. And it's not that I'm scared of your daddy. No, I'm not. I'M...scared of Stefano. [Sighs] That's what scares me the most.

Stefano: All right. Lunch is going to be served in a few moments. Now, I told the cook to give you whatever you want, whenever you want it, including peanut butter, pickles, root beer -- whatever your weird cravings are.

Nicole: Oh, thank you.

E.J.: Father, would you give us a moment, please?

Stefano: Of course.

E.J.: Thank you. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a second. Now, where do you think you're going?

Nicole: I need some air.

E.J.: Wait, please. Just -- just give me a second and wait, all right? Look, Nicole, I realize these are not the most ideal of circumstances, but I'm going to do whatever I have to for you and our child. Do you understand that I'm going to be there for our child, all right? Changing diapers, first day of school, taking them off to college. So you tell me...what do I need to do to convince you that I'm in this for the long haul, Nicole? H-how do I impress upon you that the most important thing for me is our child's future bar nothing?

Nicole: Nothing? Are you sure?

E.J.: Don't you dare make this about Samantha.

Nicole: No, no, no, no. It -- it isn't. I-it's about you...and me and the future we might have.

Lucas: Oh, hey, Chloe.

Chloe: You bastard.

Lucas: Aah. Hey, what was that for?

Chloe: Don't try to deny it, Lucas. I know Sami's pregnant.

Lucas: You think Sami's pregnant? What gave you that idea?

Chloe: I saw it with my own eyes, Lucas. You son of a --

Lucas: Wait a minute. What, did you follow me?

Chloe: Does it matter?

Lucas: Yeah, it matters. You followed me. That means we can't trust each other and now we have real problems.

Chloe: Well, I guess we do. God, I was so stupid trying to convince myself that you really cared about me, that you were over Sami, but I guess that was all just an act, huh?

Lucas: No, it wasn't an act. Listen to me.

Chloe: You know what? If Sami's the one that you want, you can have her. We're through.

Lucas: You don't understand.

Chloe: Have a nice life, Lucas.

Lucas: Listen to me, it's not what you think, all right? Let me explain it to you.

Chloe: Explain what? Sami's pregnant, isn't she?

Lucas: Yeah, but that baby is not mine.

Nicole: When I -- when I say "future," I don't mean white gowns and doves. I just mean...

E.J.: Go on.

Nicole: I-I'm just -- I'm just gonna put everything out there. All right, we're gonna be living together now. And I think that we should just lay our cards on the table.

E.J.: Agree.

Nicole: So I want you to answer some things for me. I don't mean -- I don't mean to be pushy. I just -- I want you to be honest with me.

E.J.: Okay.

Nicole: I-I've been confused, all right? One minute, everything's cool and it seems like you really want to be with me. And then the next minute, you're -- you're running after you know who.

E.J.: Okay, I understand that, Nicole, but I've also been confused, you know? It really wasn't that long ago that you were pushing me away.

Nicole: Well, I had no choice. Trent made threats. And as much as I wanted to, I couldn't be involved with you.

E.J.: I understand that. But Trent is no longer part of the equation.

Nicole: No, he's not. Thank God. That bastard will never be able to hurt me again.

Stephanie: You really believe she's gonna confess to murdering her father?

Max: Can you trust me on this, please? Just give me some time, like an hour. Maybe I can figure it out, okay? Please?

Stephanie: I'll give you 30 minutes and you will tell me everything.

Max: [Sighs] What are you doing?

Melanie: I'm leaving.

Max: No, I just got rid of her so we could talk.

Melanie: Oh, yeah? Well, you could probably still catch up to her.

Max: What is -- what is going on with you?

Melanie: Forget it.

Max: I want to help you.

Melanie: I said forget it.

Max: Talk to me, okay? What are you thinking? What's going on?

Melanie: The last time I got in a fight here it was physical like that...

Max: Was when you were with our Father, wasn't it?

Max: Here.

Melanie: Thanks.

Max: You got into a fight with Trent the night he was killed, didn't you?

Melanie: Look, I'm not gonna sit here and listen to your stupid speculations.

Max: That's how you got the wallet, right? But you knew you had to get rid of it, so you put it in Stephanie's purse and thought, "oh, then they'll think she did it," right? That's what happened.

Melanie: No, that's not what happened.

Max: Then look me in the eye and tell me you didn't do it. Look at me, damn it! You did it.

Melanie: Okay, fine. Fine, I put Dad's wallet in Stephanie's purse.

Max: God, Mel.

Melanie: But I-I did it to get your mom off the hook. I-I did it for your mom.

Max: No, Melanie, you did it for yourself.

Mayor Marino: I really am sorry it had to come to this, Dr. Carver.

Lexie: I can see how sorry you are.

Mayor Marino: It's nothing personal, I assure you. I just think the public deserves to know the truth.

Lexie: Oh, I think so, too. So, how about they learn the truth about you?

Mayor Marino: I have no idea what you're talking about.

Lexie: You haven't been very forthcoming about your biggest campaign contributors. Don't you think the public deserves to know that one of them is Stefano DiMera?

Mayor Marino: I don't know where you get your information, Dr. Carver --

Lexie: Is that really such a mystery to you, mayor?

Mayor Marino: Okay, you really do need to calm down.

Lexie: Stefano is my Father. That's how I know about his connection to you and why I have tremendous influence over him. I'm his flesh and blood.

Mayor Marino: I'm sure your father is very devoted to you.

Lexie: Oh, you bet he is. In fact, if I were you, I'd be more than a little concerned. It's not going to be easy to run a campaign once your resources run dry.

Mayor Marino: She's bluffing.

Lexie: You wish. You men have a nice day.

Mayor Marino: You don't really believe her, do you? [Cellphone rings]

Stefano: Yes.

Mayor Marino: What the hell is going on?

Stefano: Uh...the good mayor of Salem. I've been expecting your call.

Mayor Marino: I had an interesting chat with your daughter just now.

Stefano: Did you? No hard feelings I hope?

Mayor Marino: So what? That's it? We're through?

Stefano: I told you that my family was off-limits, but you did not listen. What the hell do you think I do, talk just to hear my voice? So you give me no choice.

Mayor Marino: It's politics, Stefano -- politics. You should know that better than anyone. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do.

Stefano: No. It is no longer politics for me, mayor. It is about family. Do you understand what I'm saying to you? Famiglia. So, now I'm going to have to do what I have to do, which is to sever all ties with you, Marino, effective immediately.

Mayor Marino: Come on, Stefano. Can't we at least discuss --

Stefano: Goodbye!

Mayor Marino: Damn it. He can't do this to me. DiMera will not get away with this.

E.J.: You're very quiet all of a sudden.

Nicole: The name "Trent" -- it just brings up bad memories for me. That's all. Look...now that we've cleared the air, I think, there's no Trent between us, no Sami apparently, no Stefano, no one. Just our baby. And maybe...just maybe the two of us.

E.J.: Yeah.

Nicole: It's okay. There's time. There's all sorts of time to see if there's anything more between us than -- than just this baby. I mean, I'm living here now, and you're living here. We can take slow. Like this.

E.J.: Well...we could, um -- we could try this.

Sami: I'm so glad you don't know what Stefano's like yet. You don't know how much he scares me. And now...and now I'm gonna have two of you to worry about. And that's what worries me more than anything. What if I can't handle it? What if I can't protect you both? [Sighs] So...so I have to do the right thing. And I hope that your...little baby brother or sister will understand and forgive me if this is the wrong decision. And...and hopefully one day you both will understand...that I did the best I could, that I was...that I was just trying to do what was right for you, for both of you. I think that means I have to tell the truth... now.

Max: Look, Melanie, I want to help you, I really do, but you need to be totally honest with me here, okay?

Melanie: You must really hate me right now, huh?

Max: How can you even ask me that?

Melanie: Come on, Max. You traveled halfway across the world to find me. You bailed me out of jail. You stick up for me all the time, and I've been nothing but a self-centered little brat.

Max: Yeah, well, isn't that what little sisters are? I mean, it's written in your Manuel, right?

Melanie: You're doing it again.

Max: What?

Melanie: You're being all nicey nice.

Max: [Mocking] Nicey nice.

Melanie: Which is gonna make this even harder.

Max: Make what harder?

Melanie: If you don't hate me now, something tells me you will really soon.

Max: Mel, what are you --

Melanie: The thing is...I don't think you can handle the truth. 'Cause I can't handle it myself.

Chloe: Are you sure that this baby isn't yours?

Lucas: Yeah, I'm sure. Positive. There's no way. None.

Chloe: Well, why didn't you just tell me that Sami's pregnant?

Lucas: Because she's a friend and I didn't want to betray her trust.

Chloe: I don't like that you two have secrets together.

Lucas: Well, we don't have secrets together, you know? It's just this one. She asked for my advice and I gave her my help.

Chloe: What kind of advice?

Lucas: Well, with the baby and how to handle its father.

Chloe: Who is the father?

Lucas: Chloe, she'd kill me if I told you.

Chloe: Oh, my God. It's E.J. [Doorbell rings]

Sami: I can't believe I left my stupid keys. [Sighs]

[Doorbell rings]

E.J.: There's someone at the door.

Nicole: Who cares?

Sami: Come on, E.J. Your car is there. I know you are.

Max: What truth?

Melanie: You want to know what everyone else wants to know -- did I kill our Father? And you know what, Max? Maybe I did.

Chloe: Another DiMera spawn to add to the brood? No wonder Sami's so freaked out.

Lucas: That's right. That's why we got to keep quiet.

Chloe: Does E.J. know?

Lucas: No, not yet. But, uh, she said she was gonna tell him, probably today.

Chloe: She said that?

Lucas: Yeah, why would I make it up?

Chloe: Why would you believe her?

Lucas: All right, look, we just got to keep it zipped for a little while, all right? She's probably telling him right now as we speak.

Mayor Marino: Stefano! Open the damn door! [Doorbell rings] [Banging on door] Stefano, it's Marino! Open up!

Man: Mr. Mayor. [Gunshots]
