Stephanie: There you are. Why didn't you tell me you were coming upstairs? Hello? One minute you're telling me how grateful you are that I've stood by you and trusted you. The next minute you're disappearing on me. Max, what's wrong?
Max: Trent's wallet. I found it in your purse.
Philip: Yeah, perfect place to talk -- not too depressing.
Melanie: Hey, my Father was the one who died here.
Philip: Yeah, and yet this is where you chose to have our little discussion.
Melanie: Why not? It's private, quiet, right next to the police station.
Philip: Let's cut the crap, all right?
Melanie: What's your problem?
Philip: You're the one with the problem, Melanie.
Melanie: And here I thought you just wanted to help me.
Philip: I can't help you until you answer my question. Why did you have your dead father's wallet?
Melanie: Because he gave it to me.
Mackenzie: Dr. Evans.
Marlena: Oh, Mackenzie, hi.
Mackenzie: This was delivered to Dr. Edon by mistake. Must happen all the time, right?
Marlena: I'm afraid it happens too often.
Mackenzie: He asked me to give it to you.
Marlena: Thanks. "The state hereby informs Dr. Marlena Evans that in regard to her div-- divorce petition, the state is unable to proceed without the signature of both parties." [Sighs]
Sami: All right. All right, Sami, you can do this. No, you have to tell him. E.J. deserves to know.
Nicole: You want to know? I'll tell you. I'm pregnant, E.J. I'm having your baby.
E.J.: I, uh...I don't know what to say.
Nicole: How about, "that's great news. I'm thrilled. Wow, it's a miracle." Because it is, you know.
John: I'll leave you two alone.
Nicole: I understand...you weren't expecting this, but... I mean, surely -- surely you have some reaction. I mean, how do you feel knowing that I'm pregnant with your child? Are you happy, sad, angry, none of the above? I need to know, E.J. I have the right to know.
Kate: Well, not so bad. I guess I've still got it. [Sighs] Excuse me! I m gonna take this outfit. The shoes, too. What the hell? I'm treating myself.
Chelsea: And here I thought I was saving your life.
Kate: Hey, Chelsea.
Chelsea: What a joke.
E.J.: I just... pregnant.
Nicole: What, you don't believe me?
E.J.: I didn't think that was possible.
Nicole: Guess you must have failed biology then, huh?
E.J.: No, I know it was... possible. I just thought it was very unlikely.
Nicole: Why? Because we only spent that one time together? That's all it takes, E.J. or did you miss that in class, too?
E.J.: Why didn't you tell me sooner? I mean, that little escapade happened months ago in an elevator.
Nicole: I know where it happened.
E.J.: All right, fine, it doesn't matter where it happened. I just don't understand why you wouldn't be more eager to tell me right away.
Nicole: Well, maybe I wasn't eager to tell you because I predicted that you would make me feel like a fool for --
E.J.: For what?
Nicole: For being happy... when you're obviously not. All you do is stand there all stiff-upper-lip stammering about how...I didn't tell you sooner. A-are you even the least bit excited?
Sami: "Excited"? Somehow I doubt he's gonna be excite he knows you're lying, Nicole. You're not pregnant. You can't be.
Stephanie: Where did you find that?
Max: No, I didn't say that.
Stephanie: You didn't have to.
Max: Stephanie, wait. I know you didn't steal the wallet, okay? Why would you? But I'm just confused as to how it ended up in your purse.
Stephanie: Not as confused as I am. It wasn't there this morning. I just switched purses.
Max: Okay, fine. Then let's figure it out, okay? Was there any part in the day where you didn't have your purse with you?
Stephanie: Other than the time you knocked it over and found it?
Max: Yeah, besides that.
Max: Are you sure?
Stephanie: There was a time.
Max: Okay, when?
Stephanie: At the police station. Melanie was there.
Philip: So, your father just handed you the wallet, huh? Just gave it to you? Casual little exchange?
Melanie: No, he threw it at me. He thought I wanted e money, so he was like, "here, take it."
Philip: And then what? You just rode off into the sunset?
Melanie: What are you even talking about?
Philip: You took the wallet, Melanie. Don't lie to me.
Melanie: He threw it at me.
Philip: You know what? I don't believe you. And if you don't start telling me the truth, I'm gonna go back to the police station, page my brother Bo and tell him everything I know.
Melanie: It's the truth, Philip. I swear, he gave it to me right here in the cemetery.
Melanie: The night he was murdered.
Chelsea: Well, I guess it's true what they say. When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping.
Kate: Am I missing something here?
Chelsea: Besides the fact that you and Daniel had me scared, yeah.
Kate: Scared about what, Chelsea?
Chelsea: You know what? I really don't care how you choose to handle your little situation or whatever the hell you're calling it these days, but just don't put me in the middle, okay?
Kate: I have no idea what you're talking about.
Chelsea: Daniel made me rush down to the hospital because he told me that you'd gone AWOL and he wanted me to come and find you, so here I am scouring the city, thinking the worst, trying to find you, and then he you are putting on a little fashion show.
Kate: You know, there's absolutely no reason for you to talk to me that way.
Chelsea: Do you think I'm stupid? Do you think I don't know what's going on?
Kate: Actually, I don't know what's going on, Chelsea.
Chelsea: Daniel wanted me to find you because he said that you were unwell. In fact, he made it sound like it was a matter of life or death.
Kate: Well, obviously, then there was a misunderstanding.
Chelsea: Yeah, a misunderstanding? I don't -- I don't think so. In fact, I think that this was all, like, a little ploy to get me and you in the same room. So here I am.
Kate: Well, I'm glad you're here...because I really want --
Chelsea: What do you want, Kate? What do you want? Because after today, I really don't want to see you ever again.
Marlena: Hi. John I left you several messages. Why didn't you call me back?
Marlena: I thought we'd said all there was to say, John.
John: Evidentially you had quite a lot to say to Elvis.
Marlena: I talked to him, asked for his help. I thought maybe he could talk some sense into you, but I see by your -- by your attitude... you listen to nobody.
John: No, wait. Elvis accused me of being cold and selfish, unfeeling, ungenerous. In less delicate terms, a heartless son of a bitch. Is that what you believe also?
Marlena: I've tried so hard to find the good in you... the man that I once knew. To hold on to the hope that maybe he would be returned to me. But I'm running out of hope now. And when I see you, all I see is a stranger.
Sami: She's lying, E.J. She's as pregnant as you are.
Nicole: What the hell is she doing here?
Sami: I am protecting the Father of my child from you, you money-grubbing whore.
E.J.: All right. Samantha, I'm sorry. Stop. You don't speak to her like that.
Sami: Oh, come on. You can see she's putting the oldest trick in the book.
E.J.: This is between Nicole and me.
Sami: She is just saying this to get you to marry her so you can live together with your phony baby in marital bliss.
E.J.: What are you even doing spying on us, Samantha?
Sami: "Spying"? Hardly spying. It was not some big feat of espionage. You two were standing here by the subtlest water buffalo.
Nicole: Watch it, Sami. I'm warning you.
Sami: Oh, stop warning me. I'm just terrified, Nicole. Seriously, E.J. You cannot believe her, right? You understand that she is just doing this to get to you. You want to end up in the poor house with her?
Nicole: Could you please ask her to leave?
Sami: I'm not going anywhere. You are lying, Nicole. You can't have children. Not with E.J., not with anyone.
E.J.: Wait a second. I'm sorry. I don't understand. Why is it you think Nicole is lying?
Sami: 'Cause her lips are moving.
E.J.: No, Samantha, answer my question. Why do you think she's lying?
Sami: Because, E.J., she's barren. She's unable to have children. She can't get pregnant.
Stephanie: She was the only person near my purse besides you.
Max: She wouldn't do that. She wouldn't put Trent's wallet in your purse. She -- no, she's not capable of that, Steph.
Stephanie: You thought I was.
Max: I never -- I never accused you.
Stephanie: Not outright, no, but I know damn well you were thinking it.
Max: Oh, so you can read my thoughts.
Stephanie: Max, you disappeared on me. You left the pub, and you went upstairs. Was that because you trusted me? And when you first show me the wallet, you pretty much flat-out accused me of stealing it from a dead man.
Max: That's because I was confused. That's all. I still am.
Stephanie: And now when we find out that it was Melanie who put the wallet in my purse, you're way beyond confused. You can't believe it. "Oh, no, not my wonderful, saintly sister."
Max: I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt here. She is my sister, and since I found her and she's back in my life, I'd like to think she's a decent person. Is that so hard to understand?
Stephanie: No. I get that you are a kind and compassionate person. I told you that's one of the reasons why I love you so much. What upsets me is the fact that Melanie takes advantage of you, and you're too busy trying to see her as this decent person that you don't see how she manipulates you.
Max: I don't want to hear this anymore. I'm not going through this again with you.
Stephanie: Of course not. You'd rather go on lying to yourself and deluding you self into thinking that Melanie is this really cool person. You want to be proud of her. I don't blame you.
Max: No? Then how about you cut me a break and lay off her? Why do you have to tear her down every chance you get?
Stephanie: You want to know why? Because I care about you. Don't you get that? Because I love you and I don't want to see you used and lied to. That's why I can't lay off, Max. That's why I need you to know what kind of girl your sister really is.
Philip: So, the night your father died, you were here?
Melanie: Yeah, he asked me to come here.
Melanie: Said he wanted to talk.
Melanie: About a lot of things.
Melanie: You're making me nervous.
Philip: I'm trying to help.
Melanie: Yeah, well, it doesn't feel like it.
Philip: Tell me why your father wanted to talk to you.
Melanie: Mostly he wanted me to get this guy Claude off his back.
Philip: Who's Claude?
Melanie: This guy my Dad owed a lot of money to. I'd already been to meet with Claude, but, uh, we were interrupted, luckily for me, by Nick and my brother, Max. Anyway, um, when we were in the cemetery, my Dad begged me to go back and see Claude, 'cause I guess the jerk was asking for me.
Philip: Good God.
Melanie: Yeah, well, you asked.
Philip: So, let me get this straight. Your dad was hoping you could help solve his problem by... being with this Claude guy?
Melanie: Yeah. But I told him no, never again.
Philip: And then what happened?
Trent: Claude will give you plenty of that.
Melanie: If I did, if I went to your buddy right now and I let him put his slimy hands all over me, will you leave me alone after that? Do you promise to stop gambling and to never make me prove my love for you like this again, ever?
Trent: Yes, I promise.
Melanie: You're a liar, Dad.
Melanie: And then...
Philip: And then what?
Melanie: And then I told my Dad I never wanted to see him again, and I turned around, and I-I never looked back.
Philip: Just like that.
Melanie: Yeah, just like that.
Philip: [Chuckles] So daddy dearest begs you to reconsider, renting your flesh to some scummy loan shark, and then you just say "no, thanks" and just leave?
Melanie: Who are you to say you don't believe me, Philip Kiriakis, huh? Were you there? Were you there?
Philip: No, I wasn't there, but it just seems to --
Melanie: I don't really give a damn what it seems like to you, because you don't know anything about me or my Father or what happened that night.
Philip: True, I don't, but you seem to. And everything that you've told me, I don't believe a word of it.
John: You can't do that to me, Blondie. You can't just give up on me.
Marlena: John, this is not --
John: I have made every effort to try to change, but you can't see that, can you? Because it's never good enough for you, is it? I have done my damnedest to try to be a man that you could respect. I have worked diligently to bring integrity to the DiMera Empire, to restore the honor of my family name. But what's it gonna take to impress you?
Marlena: Not that. That's not enough.
John: Will anything I do ever impress you?
Marlena: The man that I fell in love with was kind and generous and selfless. He was an honest-to-God humanitarian. Not because he thought that was expected of him. Because that was his instinct. It was in his nature. Do you think you can be that kind of a man?
John: No. But I'm trying. And if you would open your mind and listen to my words, I will explain to you exactly how.
E.J.: Is it true you can't get pregnant?
Nicole: It is.
E.J.: So were you lying to me when you just came in here and you told me you were carrying my child?
Nicole: No. No, I-I-I wasn't. What Sami doesn't know, despite her best efforts to keep her nose in everybody else's private and personal business, is that in spite of what I was told five years ago, I recently saw a doctor who informed me that I am pregnant.
Sami: [Chuckles] Yeah, right.
Nicole: And this doctor said that there is some medical explanation. I -- I choose to look at it as a miracle.
Sami: She's lying. And I can't believe you're falling for it. That's the best you can come up with? Some fake pregnancy? It's very "Jerry Springer."
Nicole: I'm leaving.
E.J.: Wait a second.
Sami: You know, if you're gonna maintain this charade, you're gonna have to stop drinking. Can't have alcohol when you're pregnant.
Nicole: You really think there's venom in that stinger?
Sami: You really think there's a life inside of you?
Nicole: Yes. A precious little life. Oh. Oh, my God. I think I just felt a little kick.
Sami: Oh, really? Let me feel. Oh, my God.
Nicole: You know, they say if you're carrying high you're having a boy. But I think that's just an old wives' tale, don't you?
E.J.: Samantha...I'd like you to leave, please. I need to talk to Nicole. Alone.
Sami: That bastard got both of us pregnant? Unbelievable.
Nicole: Please don't look at me like that.
E.J.: Like what?
Nicole: Like you wish -- like all I've done is make you sad.
E.J.: I-I don't know how to feel right now.
Nicole: Of course, you don't. I-I -- I just -- I just hope I'm not putting any pressure on you, all right? I'm just feeling ultrafragile right now, and...
E.J.: So, it's true. You're carrying my child.
Nicole: Yes, it is.
Chelsea: You have nothing to say?
Kate: About what? That you never want to talk to me again?
Chelsea: All I want is a straight answer for once. Is that so much to ask? [Cellphone beeping]
Kate: [Sighs] Okay. What do you want to know? Whether I'm healthy or not? Because I feel fine. I do, but I'm still waiting.
Chelsea: For what?
Kate: I've had a cough as you probably know, a lingering one, so I went to the doctor's and they're doing some tests.
Chelsea: So you really are sick?
Kate: Like I said, I don't know. I won't know until I get those test results, so meanwhile, I'm trying to enjoy myself with a little retail therapy.
Chelsea: Oh, God. Now I feel horrible.
Kate: Well, don't.
Chelsea: I do. [Sniffles] God, I've just been selfish and insensitive because I just -- I can't accept the fact that, yes, you could possibly be sick, waiting to hear back from your doctor, because all I can think about is that [Sighs] you and Daniel are...together. This is unfair.
Kate: Look...I'm glad you're here. Because I really believe that if we talk about what happened between Daniel and me honestly, then we're gonna be able to put it to rest.
Chelsea: No, I can't.
Kate: Chelsea, you just said --
Chelsea: I just said that it was unfair of me to assume that you and him were together again. I didn't say that I can forgive or forget that it happened initially. So as far as putting it past us, I don't think I can.
Marlena: All right, uh, yeah. Tell me. What is this proof that you've changed?
John: Well, in a nutshell, Nicole's pregnant.
Marlena: [Gasps] What?
John: I said Nicole's pregnant.
Marlena: Oh, how do you know that?
John: Because she told me. And she also told me that Elvis is the father.
Marlena: Oh, my gosh. I had no idea they were -- all right, why would she confide that to you?
John: Oh, I guess because she trusts me.
Marlena: And why did you tell me?
John: Is that wrong?
Marlena: Yes, that is. If she told you in confidence, it is.
John: Oh, I guess she did, but, well, since I trust you, I trust that you'll keep it to yourself, won't you?
Marlena: I will. I mean, if you ask me to.
John: Besides, there's a reason I'm telling you this. I mean, it's not just gossip.
Marlena: No, I didn't think it was gossip. I-I don't understand why Nicole confided in you that she's pregnant with E.J.'s child.
John: Because she trusts me. And she was wondering how to handle a very delicate situation, whether or not she was gonna tell E.J.
Marlena: And she came to you for advice?
John: Yes. And with some very firm but gentle prompting, she and my nephew are probably out picking out nursery wallpaper as we speak.
Marlena: You advised her to tell E.J. about the pregnancy?
John: Oh, I not only advised her. I told her it was imperative that she tell Elvis about the baby.
Marlena: [Chuckles] Oh. You did the right thing.
John: I'm glad you agree. Want to grab a bite to eat?
Sami: Mom. Oh, thank God I found you. Mom, I have to talk to you. It's so important.
Max: I don't want to hear it, Steph.
Stephanie: You have to. It's for your own --
Max: It's for my own good. I know. I hear you say that a lot.
Stephanie: Do you think I'm trying to hurt you?
Max: How does it help me to hear how much you hate my sister?
Stephanie: I don't hate her. I don't like how she uses you, and what scares me is the fact that you don't see her for who she really is.
Max: So it scares you that I choose to see the best in her.
Stephanie: No, I love you for that. Ugh. Max, I-I know Melanie has had a rough life, a nightmare of a father, and that's why she's screwed up and angry. I get that. And, yes, I do feel sorry for her, but the simple fact remains she uses people. She lies.
Max: So that automatically means she put Trent's wallet in your purse.
Stephanie: If her history is any indication, then, yes. Doesn't her résumé© speak for itself? She stole her best friend's bracelet and let us take the blame for it. She let us go to jail for it.
Max: I was there. I remember.
Stephanie: Okay, then, do you remember that guy Les, the one who threatened to hurt you unless you paid off Melanie's debt?
Max: Ring's a bell.
Stephanie: Then maybe you can see how frustrating it is to hear you say, "oh, no. My sister couldn't do something so horrible." Because she could, Max. And you know it. In fact, come to think of it, if there's anyone capable of putting a dead man's wallet in my purse, it's your sister.
Melanie: Fine. Don't believe me. I don't care.
Philip: Well, you should.
Melanie: Well, Philip, it's the truth. What, do you want me to shout it from the rooftops? Maybe write it in some blood?
Philip: Take care, Melanie.
Melanie: Wait. Philip, where you going?
Philip: To talk to my brother the cop.
Melanie: Philip, wait, no!
Philip: You know, you had your chance, Melanie.
Melanie: Okay, okay. Fine, fine. You win. There's a little more.
Philip: I'm listening.
Trent: What are you gonna do with that?
Melanie: I don't know.
Trent: You're not gonna hurt me. Come on, put it down. Look, I meant what I said. I'll work things out with the money. Now that I see how distraught you are, I withdraw my request. Please, put the knife down. Let's go home.
Philip: You pulled a knife on him?
Sami: John, hi. Sorry.
John: I'll call you about grabbing a bite. I'll call.
Sami: Mom, Mom, this is so important. I-I can't believe I am about to say this. I can't believe it's true.
Marlena: Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. Take a slow breath.
Sami: [Exhales sharply]
Sami: No, it's not better, Mom, because breathing isn't gonna change this. Breathing -- nothing could make th bet-- Nicole is pregnant with E.J.'s baby.
Marlena: I know.
E.J.: So...what do we do now?
Nicole: What anyone does. We...talk about things. We make plans. Celebrate.
Nicole: Well, try not to get too excited. We don't want you to hyperventilate.
E.J.: I'm sorry. Just -- this is a lot for me to take in.
Nicole: I know it is. You weren't expecting this, and neither was I. I mean, I'm not supposed to be able to have babies. And I just -- I just adjusted to it. It was very painful for me. And I-I know I don't strike anyone as the maternal type, but ever since I was a little girl playing with dolls, I wanted more than anything to be a mom. And recently, I've seen mothers with their kids, and -- and I've felt these pangs of jealousy.
E.J.: [Chuckles] Well, you don't have to be jealous anymore.
Nicole: E.J...you don't understand how important this is to me.
E.J.: Yes, I do.
Nicole: I mean, for the past five years, I feel like I've had this hole in my heart. You know, for the first time, I feel like I've gotten a second chance at life.
E.J.: I know how that feels.
Nicole: And I-I-I've done some things that I'm not proud of, but I feel like this is the universe giving me a second shot, you know, to do something right, something -- something great. And I am not gonna mess it up this time.
E.J.: I know you're not.
Nicole: E.J., this baby... is a miracle, our miracle.
Kate: Okay. You have had your say. May I have mine?
Chelsea: I guess that's fair.
Kate: To be honest, I have had it with your self-pity and your anger and your resentment. If I remember correctly, you have been forgiven many times, but still, you continue to judge me... to be cruel to me, to punish me. People make mistakes, Chelsea. You need to deal with that. And I know you're hurt, because you have made that abundantly clear. But believe me, I do understand that, and the truth is what Daniel and I did, it was not wrong. And the sooner you realize that, the better off you're gonna be.
Max: You're right. I-I may have overlooked some of Melanie's faults.
Stephanie: Thank you.
Max: But she is my family. And I know she's had a tough life, and she has some things about her that... I know she has problems, okay? I know that. And she might have put the wallet in your purse.
Stephanie: I just don't see who else it could have been. But I still wonder. I mean, what was she doing with it in the first place?
Max: No idea.
Stephanie: Doesn't it occur to you that the only way she could have gotten it...
Max: Go on.
Stephanie: Mean, Trent wouldn't have given it to her willingly, right? So she must have taken it when...
Max: Where are you going with this?
Stephanie: Max...I think Melanie killed your father.
Melanie: I know what you're thinking.
Philip: I bet you do.
Melanie: Look, Philip, I-I didn't do it. I mean, come on, why would I ask you to help me find the killer if I had done it myself?
Philip: Oh, please, give me a break. At is this, criminal psychology 101? You did it to cast suspicion off yourself. Look, this little dim-witted routine may work with everyone else, but I tend to be a little more cynical than most.
Melanie: Wow, you -- you really think I killed my Father.
Philip: And you need to come clean and start telling the truth or I'm gonna go tell my brother about the wallet and the knife. Then we'll let the police figure out the rest. How does that sound?
Melanie: Philip, I didn't do it. I swear to God. I didn't kill my Father. Why are you looking at me like that?
Philip: I don't want to see anything happen to you. I like you. I don't know why, but I do. But you need to tell me what happened. 'Cause right here in this cemetery, somebody murdered your father, and at the moment, you seem to be the prime suspect. So why shouldn't I turn you in?
Kate: Chelsea, life is too short and time is too precious to waste it being angry at people who care about you.
Chelsea: I'm not angry anymore. But every time I look at you, I'm reminded of what happened. I want to forgive you, and I want to get over it, but I can't.
Kate: Well, then, I'm sorry for you, not for myself, because I know someday you're gonna regret it.
Chelsea: I already do.
Philip: Did you kill your father?
Melanie: I told you don't touch me again!
Philip: Answer me, Melanie. Did you kill Trent?
Melanie: I don't know.
Max: Not Melanie. Not our Father. No.
Stephanie: I know how much this hurts, but think about how much motive she had.
Max: Who cares? Everybody in this town had a motive.
Stephanie: Not everyone was walking around with Trent's wallet.
Max: Are you listening to me? She didn't do it. I know that for a fact.
Stephanie: You know that for a fact? How?
Max: I just do.
Stephanie: Max, you're scaring me. There's no way you know for a fact that Melanie had nothing to do with this unless...
Max: Unless what? Say it, Stephanie.
Stephanie: Unless you killed Trent yourself.
Nicole: I guess this is how it goes with you and me, huh? Me pouring my heart out to you, waiting for you to either do the same thing or tell me everything's gonna be okay. Blabbing away, doing all the talking. I must be getting on your nerves, huh?
E.J.: No. No, you're not.
Nicole: Oh, sure I am. So I'm just gonna shut up.
E.J.: Please don't.
Nicole: Maybe you want to say something. Anything.
E.J.: Well, you've, uh... certainly given me a lot to think about.
Nicole: Yeah. I mean, this is -- this is huge, right? A new life. What could be bigger?
Nicole: Nothing. Exactly. I mean, this is what it's all about, right? Maybe not. I mean, maybe not for you, but...
E.J.: I didn't say that.
Nicole: E.J., are you happy that I'm pregnant?
E.J.: [Inhales deeply] Yes, I am.
Nicole: Thank God.
E.J.: But, Nicole, I am going to need...some proof that this child is mine.
Sami: You know that Nicole's pregnant? Why didn't you tell me?
Marlena: Well, John told me just now.
Sami: I think I'm gonna be sick.
Marlena: Sami, why is this so upsetting to you?
Sami: You're kidding, right? I mean, look at Nicole's past. Look what she's done to Lucas and Eric and Victor and now she's on to E.J.? She's gonna find him and trap him and -- and make him take care of her and -- and ruin both their lives. He's gonna end up married her and living the rest of their life together. Nicole is a fiasco. And I don't want E.J. to have his life ruined by her.
Marlena: So you think that she's after E.J. for his money.
Sami: Of course she is.
Marlena: Doesn't make sense to me.
Sami: Are we talking about the same person?
Marlena: Look, you of all people should know how difficult it will be once a child is born. You should know how tough it is to be the mother of a DiMera heir.
Sami: Oh, come on, Mom. Just because I know how hard it is to raise a DiMera child doesn't mean I shouldn't be resentful of the fact that she's pregnant with E.J.'s baby and that she's gonna try to ruin his life.
Marlena: But knowing that Stefano is going to make her life so difficult.
Sami: Come on, Mom. This isn't about Stefano.
Marlena: It's always about Stefano. And until he is somewhere else, there will be no peace here.
Sami: Great. So you're happy for Nicole. What, you want to throw her a baby shower now?
Marlena: [Chuckling] No. Honey, I'm not happy for Nicole. I'm just happy it's not you that's pregnant.
Lucas: All right, so, you're not gonna tell your parents. You're not gonna tell the baby's father. You want to lose E.J. to Nicole?
Nicole: This baby is a new beginning for me. All you care about is yourself and how it affects your life.
Max: Then you accused me of being the murderer, so which is it? Is it me? Is it my sister?
