Nicole: You shouldn't have gotten your hopes up. You shouldn't have been so damn naive. Who -- who are you? What is your problem?"

John: No, actually, that's not what I was thinking.

Nicole: I know. I know you don't want to get in the middle of this, but you had to have known that I was gonna crash and burn. Why didn't y warn me? Why didn't I see this for the train wreck that it is? E.J. will never love me or his baby. Damn Sami to hell!

E.J.: Hello, trouble. What's wrong with you, eh? Let's see -- no bones broken. You're not bleeding, thank God. So what are you doing here? Are you sick? Samantha, hey. What's wrong?

Sami: You shouldn't have come. I, um -- it wasn't my idea.

E.J.: Hang on, sweetheart. What's wrong with you?

Sami: I fainted.

E.J: Just -- just out of the blue?

Sami: It's really not that big a deal.

E.J.: It is a big deal. I mean, have they done any tests? Do they know why this happened? Samantha, answer my question. What's wrong?

Lucas: She's fine, but what are you doing here?

Kate: Um...okay. I'm having a biopsy to remove some tissue and fluid from my lungs. The doctors, um, need some more samples because they ant to do some more tests.

Philip: So this...surgery's related to your cough?

Kate: Yeah, it is. They, um -- they found an abnormality on one of the x-rays and they want to check it out. An um...I need to tell you that there is a chance, a possibility, that it may be lung cancer.

Philip: Yeah, but, I mean, it's just a possibility. That doesn't mean you have it.

Lucas: That's right. I mean, you probably don't. Look at you. You're healthy. You're fit.

Kate: I know. I know. [Coughs] And I feel fine. I really do. I mean, it's just this stupid cough that I haven't been able to get rid of, so...

Lucas: It's probably bronchial or something. Don't worry about it.

Philip: That's what you've suspected all along. And it's like Lucas said, you're healthy. You don't smoke. You work out all the time.

Kate: Not as much as I should. But anyway, Daniel said that after the biopsy, we'll have a better idea.

Philip: Daniel's doing the biopsy?

Kate: He's helping with it, Philip.

Philip: Forget about it no way in hell.

Kate: Please don't start this. Please.

Philip: We're gonna get you another doctor.

Kate: No, I don't want another doctor.

Philip: And I don't want Daniel Jonas anywhere near you. Do you understand? He's not touching my Mother.

Nicole: Oh, I'm out of here.

John: No, you must wait. If you leave this upset, you'll drive into a tree, so stay. Have a drink. Oh, that's right. Okay, you just stay. I'll have the drink.

Nicole: Come on, tell me I'm an idiot.

John: You're an idiot.

Nicole: Go easy on me. I'm running on hormones here.

John: You're an idiot... for thinking that you're an idiot. So calm down. You don't want to send bad vibrations to the embryo.

Nicole: What do you know about being pregnant?

John: Nothing.

Nicole: I'm sorry. It's E.J. I should be mad at. The problem is he's not here.

John: I'm guessing he didn't take the news about the baby very well.

Nicole: I didn't tell him. Sami called, and he went running. Actually, it was Lucas, but that's beside the point, which is E.J. left me again for his precious Samantha.

Sami: E.J... I'm actually fine. Um, in fact, they said I'm okay to leave.

E.J.: Glad to hear it.

Sami: They just want me to drink this juice, you know, to get my energy back for whatever.

E.J.: That's great, Samantha, but you still haven't answered my question.

Sami: You don't have to yell at me.

E.J.: Samantha, what happened? Why are you here in the first place?

Sami: I fainted.

E.J.: Just for no reason at all?

Sami: It doesn't matter, okay? They said I'm fine, I'm healthy, I can leave, and that's what matters, right? So you don't have to be here. You can go back to work or wherever you -- where were you?

E.J.: I was having dinner.

Sami: Alone?

E.J.: No, actually. I was having dinner with Nicole.

Sami: Exactly. I am so sorry that Lucas called you. Please don't stay here. Please go back to whatever you were doing. I don't need you. I don't even want to see you right now. I don't want to see you! Get out!

Philip: Where is he? I'll find him myself.

Lucas: Come on, man. Just relax.

Philip: Dr. Jonas!

Kate: Philip.

Philip: Dr. Jonas!

Kate: Philip, please. Why are you doing this?

Philip: This is not just about what happened between you two.

Kate: Then what is it?

Philip: You don't tell someone you have cancer. He had no right to do that. You don't tell someone until you know.

Kate: He didn't. He didn't tell me that. He said that it was a possibility, and he's not doing the biopsy. He's just helping. I want him to consult on my test, on my case.

Philip: Is that his field? Is he a specialist?

Kate: In Pulmonology, no.

Philip: Then we'll get you a specialist -- the best money can buy. Only the best. Do you understand?

Kate: Yeah, I do. I understand. Honey, and I love you. I do love you so much. [Sighing] Oh, God. And I love you. I love you. Look...it's okay to be scared, all right? Because I'm scared, too. But I'm gonna fight this. I'm gonna fight this with everything I have, no matter what it is.

Lucas: Yeah, but you're gonna be okay.

Kate: Yeah, baby, I am gonna be okay. Because I have so much to live for.

John: So, why didn't you just stop Elvis from leaving by playing the baby card?

Nicole: I wouldn't do that. I may be manipulative, but -- strike that, I am manipulative, conniving, and selfish, too, but I would never, never play a game with something like this. The life of a child?

John: Okay, if you say so.

Nicole: You know they said this could never happen.

John: So you said.

Nicole: Not just by one doctor. I got a second and a third opinion. They said it was near impossible. And now...wonder of wonders, I've proven them wrong. There's a little person growing inside of me.

John: And how does that make you feel?

Nicole: Important. Like I'm doing something worthwhile for the first time in my life.

John: Let me as you something. Are you willing to raise this child on your own?

Nicole: I said I would and I meant it.

John: So you're not gonna tell him.

Nicole: That's right. I mean, no. Yes, I -- God, I don't know what I mean. I don't know what I'm saying. I should tell him, right? I -- every man deserves to know he's fathered a child. [Sighs]

E.J.: You want me to get out? Fine. I will go back to my dinner, which, by the way, was a hell of a lot more fun than being yelled at by you.

Sami: Oh, I'm sure it was. Go back to your girlfriend.

E.J.: She's not my girlfriend.

Sami: Oh, we want to call her something else, we could. I could think of buddy, friend, sex slave.

E.J.: Don't you understand, Samantha? All of this, this whole situation, this is your doing.

Sami: Are you kidding me? How is that even possible?

E.J.: Do you really he to ask? Do you really think that I would having dinner with anybody other an you if you weren't such a fickle and --

Sami: "Fickle"? I'm fickle? Nicole bats her eyelashes, and you [Pants] panting after her.

E.J.: Oh, come on. I do not. You know that's not true.

Sami: Oh, stop it. It's not even just Nicole. it's any woman ever. Like we're all the same to you. Is that it, you shallow bastard?

E.J.: You are not even making any sense.

Sami: Replaceable, right? Dispensable. All the men the dark.

E.J.: Would you just shut up for one second, all right? Enough. Look, Samantha, look at me, please? They didn't mean anything.

Sami: I would like to be alone, please.

E.J.: Great, great, great! What, now we've gone 10 steps back in our relationship?

Sami: Only 10? What, you can't count higher than that?

E.J.: Look, can we please just start this conversation over, Samantha? What did the doctor say is wrong with you?

Sami: He said...that my... blood-sugar levels were low because I didn't eat enough today, so they gave me some fruit, they gave me some juice, and they told me to drink it and that I would be fine. So I am asking you to please leave me alone.

John: So, now you intend to tell Elvis the truth.

Nicole: Yeah. He deserves to know.

John: I'm so impressed.

Nicole: Why? It's not like it'll be any easier for me if I keep it from him. Look, I'm not stupid enough to think that the guy will marry me, but at least if he knows, he'll be there for me and for the baby. Don't you think?

John: I think he takes fatherhood very seriously. And his father, well, let's just say that Stefano is very possessive of his grandchildren.

Nicole: I'll handle Stefano when the time comes. Right now, I just -- I just want to focus on this miracle, especially since this is probably my one and only chance in motherhood -- something I'm obviously so well-suited for.

John: Well, I have a feeling that you're going to rise to the occasion.

Nicole: I think I will, too.

John: Sensational. Because it's quite apparent that you are really happy about this.

Nicole: I'm feeling a lot of things -- happy, sad, confused, terrified, and -- but mostly, I feel grateful that I've been given a second chance to do something right.

John: Excellent. Well, this calls for a celebration.

Nicole: Do you have any non-alcoholic champagne?

John: Oh, no. But I'm sure Chez Rouge does. Want to check it out? Besides, I think you need a change of venue. And I...well, I would like some non-alcoholic champagne.

Nicole: [Chuckles] Okay. I'll go get my coat.

Kate: Because of you, because of my family, I am determined to be around for a long, long time.

Philip: Hey, you've got to be. Who else is gonna tell us we're screwing up so badly?

Kate: Yeah, I guess that's what I love to do most, right?

Philip: You're up in my soup way too much, but I can handle it.

Lucas: Ditto that.

Kate: You know, you are both mature, independent men, but I have still tried to hold on to you. 'Cause that's the way I mother, but you managed to grow up despite me.

Philip: Well, you're more of a positive influence than you know.

Kate: Wow these roles might have to be reversed for a while, because I might be asking you for help now.

Lucas: There's no problem there. We're there for you. You know that.

Kate: I know and I will need you to be there because if I do find out that I have cancer, that's gonna give me the strength to fight it. With you, for you.

Stefano: Ah, someone is in a good mood.

E.J.: On top of the world, thank you. Now, if you don't mind, I'd like to revel in my good spirits on my own.

Stefano: Oh, dear, oh, dear, oh, dear. What has Samantha done now?

Chloe: [Sighs] Come on, Lucas. Get here.

Daniel: Oh, sorry to interrupt, Kate, but I just wanted to tell you that Dr. Waterson will be in any minute.

Kate: Okay. The anesthesiologist, right?

Daniel: Yep, and then we'll prep you for the biopsy.

Philip: Who's "we"?

Kate: Philip, please.

Philip: I asked you a question.

Daniel: Back off, Philip.

Philip: Who the hell are you to tell me what to do?

Daniel: Let's not do this.

Philip: What, are there no other doctors in this hospital? You' the only one available?

Lucas: Philip, come on, relax. Calm down, man.

Philip: This isn't even what you do. What is your specialty? You're not a cancer specialist. Your specialty is using your status to get women into bed.

Kate: Philip, stop it.

Philip: Answer me, Daniel. Why are you involved here?

Daniel: Your mother knows why. Because I care.

Kate: She doesn't need someone who cares, not the way you do. She needs a competent, objective doctor, not someone who's betrayed her trust.

Daniel: I'll see you later, Kate.

Philip: No, you won't be seeing her, doctor. You're gonna stay the hell away from her. Do you understand?

Philip: You are not her doctor anymore. Do you understand?

Daniel: She'll be the one to decide that.

Philip: I'm deciding for her.

Lucas: Hey, bro, you're upsetting Mom. Relax.

Philip: I'm upsetting her? Lucas, he screwed up her life. Now he wants to be her doctor? Her own granddaughter won't even talk to her anymore. And be objective during the biopsy? Give me a break.

Kate: Philip, listen to me.

Philip: You may not be thinking clearly, okay, because you're worried. We all are. That's why --

Kate: That's why what? Why you feel you can treat me like a child? Why you feel that you can treat Daniel that way? You can insult him and you can berate him? Listen to me. Look at me. Daniel is right. I know this all coming from a caring place and because you feel protective of me, and I love you for that. I do. But he's right medical care is my business -- the doctors I choose and the treatment I choose. Not yours.

Philip: Fine. What's your decision?

Kate: I want Daniel to oversee my case. Because I know he's the best and because I know he's going to do everything he possibly can to get me better.

E.J.: Nice try.

Stefano: A simple question, Elvis.

E.J.: Simple, huh? Simple. Any time the word "Samantha" is used in a sentence, it is anything but simple. It is hideously complicated. Laughable, in fact. Frankly, I don't know why I bother. I don't know why anybody bothers.

Stefano: Well, I'm glad to see that you're taking this calmly and rationally.

E.J.: If she had one redeeming quality, what? Grace, whit, charm? I don't know -- anything? You know, she doesn't even have a sense of humor. It's puerile at best, which would be fine if she wasn't so completely clueless.

Stefano: You are saying that she is ignorant, ordinary?

E.J.: Completely. Complet -- well, obviously she's physically -- she's very beautiful, I suppose, but outside of that, she's coarse. She's cold. I mean, if you saw -- if you saw Samantha crying, tears running down her face, your heart wouldn't go out to her. Why? Because she doesn't have a heart.

Stefano: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. So, that is why you are hopelessly in love with her.

E.J.: [Laughs] I'm not in love with her. Infatuated maybe, I suppose. I certainly found her very interesting. But you know what I've discovered? She just appeals to all the worst parts of me. Once you get out of that dense, Samantha fog, you know you find? Not much. You know, the only thing I get out of this relationship is something self-destructive, something masochistic.

Stefano: Are you finished with your rant?

E.J.: It's not a rant.

Stefano: It was a rant because it is coming out of anger and frustration. It is not coming from your heart.

E.J.: You're gonna be my shrink? This should be good.

Stefano: [Sighs] I'm simply telling you the truth, Elvis. You have a child with Samantha, the precious Giovanni, hmm? He's your son, your heir, and because you are a DiMera, it means everything to you, and that is the reason why Samantha is important to you. Because she is the mother of your little boy, huh? That alone bonds you with her for life. There is nothing more powerful than sharing a child. You know that as well as I do, Elvis. And that's why she will always have a hold on you. You'll never be free of her.

E.J.: So I'm never gonna have any peace of mind? Is that what you're saying?

Stefano: Well, that's up to you, my son, hmm? It is very obvious that you and Samantha are meant to be together. Now, whether it is harmonious or inharmonious, that is your choice. You can either love her -- simply love her -- or you can go on fighting it. Which will it be, Elvis?

Nicole: Well, it looks like champagne. Bubbles like it, too.

John: Yes. Just doesn't lift your spirits like t real stuff, though, huh?

Nicole: Actually, I'm having a fine time tonight without the real stuff, and, for the record, drinking doesn't lift your spirits. At least not for me anyway. It just...numbs the pain. And then the next day... wow, listen to me spouting clichés about the downside of drinking. I'm surprised I didn't put you to sleep.

John: No. Actually, I like hearing you talk like this. Perhaps it means you're on the right track.

Nicole: You know, you seem like a pretty decent person right now. I know I don't know you that well, but after having this little chat with you, I can -- I can see that your heart's in the right place.

John: Some people don't think I have one.

Nicole: Well, they're fools. You're a good guy, John. I mean, I never would have thought that I would confide in you in something so important, my having a baby. Wow, even saying those words. And you're the first person I told. Makes you pretty g-- John. John, are you okay? Oh, my God.

Kate: I'm sorry. He's -- he's worried about me, and he's being protective.

Philip: My Mom's right. I lashed out because I'm worried sorry if I offended you.

Daniel: I'll send Dr. Waterson in.

Kate: Okay. Now it's time for you both to go.

Lucas: No, no, no. We're gonna wait for you.

Kate: I'd really rather you didn't.

Philip: He said it wouldn't take long.

Kate: No, it's not gonna take long. It's all gonna be fine, and I'll call you when it's through. [Coughs]

Philip: Let us stay with you.

Kate: No. No. I want to do this on my own. I need to, okay? And I think every thing's gonna be just fine.

Philip: All right, if you say so. Give me a hug.

Kate: I love you, baby.

Philip: I love you, too.

Kate: I love you.

Lucas: I love you more.

Kate: Okay, I'll call you.

Lucas: You better.

Kate: I will.

Nicole: John, oh, my God. Can you hear me? John! Oh, I can't believe this. Somebody call an ambulance. Hurry! My friend is sick. John, just relax, okay? I'm getting help. John, can you hear me? It's Nicole.

John: My head. My head.

Nicole: Okay, an ambulance is on its way, and it's gonna take you right to the hospital.

John: No. No. No, no, no hospitals.

Nicole: What?

John: No hospitals.

Philip: Hey.

Chloe: Hi. Are you meeting someone here?

Philip: Uh, no, no. I just came for takeout. I'm gonna go home and wait.

Chloe: Wait for what? Philip, what's wrong?

Philip: It's my Mom. She's, uh -- she's got this cough and she's having tests.

Chloe: Oh, yeah, that same cough. Oh, I'm sure they'll know something soon.

Philip: Yeah. She said she was gonna call me soon. So, how are you?

Chloe: I'm fine. Actually, I have some news.

Philip: Oh, yeah?

Chloe: Well, that call you made to the Kansas City Midwest Opera? You obviously have considerable clout.

Philip: They hired you?

Chloe: Thanks to you.

Philip: All I did was make a call.

Chloe: Well, apparently, that's all the C.E.O. of Titan has to do. I'm very grateful.

Philip: So, when are you leaving?

Chloe: Tonight, actually. Rehearsals for "Le Nozze Di Figaro" starts in a couple of days, and they said that there's a small part in there that I might be right for -- mezzo-soprano.

Philip: [Laughs] That's incredible. I'm gonna have to come and see you.

Chloe: You'd better. I'll get you house seats.

Philip: I'll hold you to that.

Chloe: Good. So, actually, I came here to see Lucas.

Philip: Um, yeah, he was at the hospital with me and my Mom, but he had to help out a friend or something?

Chloe: A friend, right. Um, you know, I probably have to go if I'm gonna catch my flight.

Philip: Do you need a ride to the airport?

Chloe: No, it's okay. I called a cab already, and I'm sure you have to stick around for your mom anyway, right?

Philip: Yeah. Actually, I should be close.

Chloe: So, this is it, I guess.

Philip: I wish you the best of luck. And, you know, hey, I'm gonna come see you. "Le noz..."

Chloe: "Le Nozze di Figaro." [Chuckles] Yeah, I'm sure you can look at the opera company's website and find out the dates and times and all that stuff.

Philip: I'll check it out.

Chloe: I'll miss you, Philip.

Nicole: Are you sure you're all right?

John: Yes. I'm fine. Besides, I'm not the on who needs medical attention, am I?

Nicole: Well, I'm not sick. I'm just pregnant. And I'd rather not talk about me, okay? Can we please change the subject? I'm worried about you.

John: Oh, it's not necessary. No, like I was saying, I have goals, therefore I need some more of your advice.

Nicole: Uh, o-okay.

John: Okay, so tell me, what does a man like me have to do to get my wife back?

Morgan: Please. Don't let me interrupt.

Chloe: Too late.

Morgan: I didn't know you two were, uh...

Chloe: We're not. Feel better? Hey, thanks again for making that call for me. It means so much to me.

Philip: I'm just glad I could help.

Chloe: Well, I'll send you an e-mail and let you know if I got the part.

Philip: I'm sure you will. I'll be waiting to hear from you.

Chloe: Goodbye, Philip.

Philip: Bye.

Chloe: Morgan.

Morgan: Bye.

Philip: Hi.

Morgan: Where's she off to?

Philip: Kansas City Midwest Opera. She got a job.

Morgan: Oh. She thanked you.

Philip: I contacted some people, so...

Morgan: How kind of you.

Philip: Chloe's a friend.

Morgan: A friend you just happen to be in love with. And here I thought you'd deny it.

Philip: I can't.

Sami: You know what you are, Lucas? You are the king of bad ideas.

Lucas: Here we go again.

Sami: I begged you. I said very clearly that I don't want E.J. there. I was pleading with you not to call him.

Lucas: You begged and you pleaded, but did I listen?

Sami: No. No, you didn't listen because you never to listen to me. You always do exactly what you want to do and damn the consequences.

Lucas: That's a little bit dramatic, don't you think? All I did was call him and tell him you were in the hospital.

Sami: What do you mean? You called him while he was on a date. He was with Nicole.

Lucas: So how was I supposed to know that?

Sami: You had to have known that it was at least a possibility.

Lucas: Well, I didn't. And anyway, who cares? So what?

Sami: Have you been listening? Lucas, he was on a date with Nicole. He only showed up because he thought I was dying.

Lucas: Come on, I never said that you were dying.

Sami: No, but obviously he thought that I was because you called him and thought it was so important that the mother of his child was sick, so he rushes down to the hospital, sees that I'm okay, checks on me, and then he takes off.

Lucas: Well, that was his choice, right? But you said that you kicked him out.

Sami: That's beside the point.

Lucas: Right, right. That's beside the point. It's completely irrelevant.

Sami: I'll tell you what's relevant. They're probably together right now, making fun of me, you know, like, "oh, Sami's such a hypochondriac. She feels a little woozy and she has to check herself into a hospital."

Lucas: Feels a little jealous, too. She acts like an irrational lunatic.

Sami: How am I being irrational? I'm stating a fact here. He was on a date. If he cared about me...

Lucas: What? What?

Sami: He would stay away from Nicole.

Lucas: Well, maybe, you know, just maybe if you told him about the baby, he'd feel different. Things would be different between you two, right?

Sami: I don't want things to be different because of the baby.

Lucas: But you are gonna tell him, Sami.

Sami: I'm not telling him tonight. I don't like that Stefano's been hanging around. I need to think clearly and that is the last thing I can do when I'm stuck at that creepy mansion.

Lucas: Don't go back to the mansion. Stay here with me.

Nicole: Oh, wow. This will be a first. [Chuckles]

John: What's funny?

Nicole: You're asking me for relationship advice?

John: Yes. Well, you're smart. And you're a woman.

Nicole: Yeah, and I'm a total flop in the romantic department in case you haven't noticed.

John: No, you've just been unlucky, that's all.

Nicole: He said tactfully.

John: So, tell me, what do I have to do to get my wife back?

Nicole: Well, I-I hear she still loves you. So what's so hard? Tell her you love her, too. That should do the trick, right?

John: No. She doesn't trust me anymore. She wants a divorce.

Nicole: She told you that?

John: In no uncertain terms, so...what do I do?

Nicole: [Sighs] Well, I-I -- okay, I'll tell you what, I will -- I will rack my brain and figure out a way to help you. Only if you help me.

John: With Elvis?

Nicole: Yeah. I mean, after all this...how can I get him realize that I can make him happy, I mean, despite my questionable past and my problems? If I -- if I really know that he loves me, I can be a better person and I can be the woman he needs.

John: Yes, you may be right.

Nicole: I am right. So are we gonna help each other?

John: Sure.

Nicole: All right. How about a non-alcoholic toast?

John: Okay. Here's to...our new alliance.

Kate: How long am I gonna be out?

Nurse: Not long. It's a relatively quick procedure.

Daniel: How you doing?

Kate: I'm feeling drowsy.

Daniel: That's the idea.

Kate: I'm glad you're here.

Philip: [Sighs] I'm sorry if I've disappointed you, okay?

Morgan: No. You know what? It's all right. At least this way I'm not gonna spend my entire time in Chicago pining away for you.

Philip: Chicago?

Morgan: I've been accepted to an internship there.

Philip: Really? Well, that's great.

Morgan: Yeah, it's, uh, for two years. Requires me to transfer to a local university.

Philip: Well, Chicago's an amazing city.

Morgan: When I was on vacation at my Mother's, I was debating as to whether or not to take the position. I guess after tonight, there's no more debating, huh?

Philip: Well...it's a good opportunity, and...I wish you the best. I think that you'll do well in whatever you do, and if you ever need anything...

Morgan: I know you'll be there for me. You're a good guy, Philip.

Philip: I don't know about that. I do care about you. And I hope you consider me a friend.

Morgan: Goes both ways. Look, I should get going. I have to pack. All right, goodbye, Philip.

Philip: Take care.

Morgan: Take care of yourself, okay?

Philip: Stay in touch.

Sami: I can't stay with you, Lucas.

Lucas: Why? What are you afraid of?

Sami: I'm not afraid. It's just --

Lucas: What? That's right. It's just one night.

Sami: We're not together anymore.

Lucas: Yeah, I know. I got the memo on that. And I know that you think that you're this irresistible woman that no man resist, not even for a moment, but yet I will. I will put back my urges. I won't make a pass at you. I won't even try to sleep with you or anything.

Sami: Shocking.

Lucas: Yeah, just stay the night. That's all I'm asking. I'm offering a place to stay.

Sami: What will people say? What will Chloe think?

Lucas: Chloe's on a plane right now.

Sami: What?

Lucas: Yep, she called me from the airport. Philip got her a job. She's gonna be in the Kansas City Midwest Opera.

Sami: That's kind of sudden, isn't it?

Lucas: Well, you know, Chloe's following her dreams. Got to respect that. But really wouldn't matter 'cause even if she was here, she'd have to understand that you and I have A...

Sami: What?

Lucas: A thing. You know, we have a history. We have...kids, and she'd have to understand that.

Sami: You're right.

Lucas: Right. And even when we disagree and we want to strangle each other, we both know that when push comes to shove...

Sami: Right, when push comes to shove, like right now.

Lucas: Yeah, like right now. I'm just offering you a place to stay, that's all. I'm trying to help you. I'm trying to be there for you.

Sami: Thanks, Lucas. I'll stay with you tonight. I appreciate your offer. And then tomorrow, I'll have to figure out what to do about E.J. and our unborn baby.

Stephanie: Don't tell me you actually believe that my grandmother killed your father.

Marlena: I have to move on with my own life.

Kayla: I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I think you're making a mistake.
