Marlena: I didn't think I would run into you again.
John: I really like the coffee here. You want some?
Marlena: No, thanks.
John: Wait, Blondie. Please. Wait.
Marlena: I've told you how I feel. Why can't you accept that?
John: I just want to make sure that -- that it's really what you want.
Marlena: It's what I want. It really is what I want. I've spent months trying to get back the man that I love. That isn't going to happen. I know that. It isn't your fault. It isn't my fault. It's just -- just the way it is.
John: Oh, I see. So you're giving up -- that's it?
Marlena: No, I -- no. No, I'm not giving up. I'm just -- I'm starting over. A brand-new life... without you.
Kate: ...What's bothering you?
Tony: I apologize. I just have a lot on my mind.
Kate: Yeah. More than hearth and home.
Tony: Frankly, I wish my -- the rest of my life was running as smoothly.
Kate: Does this have anything to do with moving back into the DiMera mansion?
Tony: I'm taking a stand against John and my Father.
Kate: I think you're asking for trouble doing that.
Tony: I don't have a choice.
Kate: So, what does Anna think about all this?
Anna: She's dead set against it.
Bo: Hey, there you are. Am I late?
Hope: Right on time.
Bo: I got your message. What's up?
Hope: Well, how does a romantic picnic in the park sound?
Bo: Right here, right now?
Hope: Mwah! That's the plan. I brought all your favorites.
Bo: Um, did you...
Hope: Did you not hear the word "gourmet"?
Bo: Define "gourmet."
Hope: Anything I didn't cook.
Bo: Oh. Well, you thought of everything.
Hope: Well, not everything. Otherwise, I would have brought a tent.
Bo: All righty. Let's spread it out.
Sami: I love you both. I love you both so much. I don't care what that stupid judge says. I am not gonna let him separate you. I'm just not. It's too --
E.J.: Look, I know that you're upset, but you have to accept this is inevitable.
Sami: No, actually, I don't. I am not gonna let Lucas take her anywhere, no matter what.
E.J.: The decision's been made. You don't have a choice.
Sami: Actually, I do. I have options.
E.J.: No, Samantha, you don't.
Sami: Whose side are you on, anyway?
E.J.: I'm on Allie's side. Hey. Come here. Come on. The reality of the situation is that you and Lucas are no longer together. The judge took everything under consideration, and he decided to award joint custody. You don't have a choice but to comply with the court's decision.
Sami: I understand the concept of sharing custody, okay? That is not what I am fighting about. Just... the idea of packing her up and carting her off. It's just not right. I have a terrible feeling about this.
Philip: Mind if I sit?
Lucas: It's a free country. Go ahead. I heard you were cleared in the Hollingsworth case. It's good news.
Philip: Yes, yes. Thank you.
Lucas: You must be very relieved.
Philip: I wasn't too worried. What's going on with your custody hearing?
Lucas: Actually, the judge awarded joint custody.
Philip: Congratulations, I think. Is that what you wanted?
Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, it is. I mean, you know, it's good for Allie. I just don't know how Sami's gonna react.
Philip: Not good would be my guess.
Lucas: That's my guess, too. Unfortunately, she doesn't have a choice.
Philip: When did that ever stop her?
Lucas: Ah, that's a good point.
E.J.: Look, Samantha, I understand this is difficult for you, but it's not like you lost complete custody of Allie. I think the judge's decision was fair.
Sami: Well, I don't. I have a really bad feeling about this. I have a bad feeling about her being taken away from me, even -- even for a weekend.
E.J.: Okay, but you need to understand -- this is out of your hands.
Sami: No, it's not. I'm not being unrealistic here. I am being cautious, and I don't understand why people can't see that.
E.J.: Well, frankly, I don't think that anybody quite understands where you're coming from.
Sami: Not even you? I mean, you have had to deal with Allie's night tremors, just like I have. And we both figured out how to deal with it, how to help her, and maybe Lucas will figure it out, too, but what if he doesn't? Can you imagine what it'll be like for Allie waking up in a completely different room without any of the things that are familiar to her, without her dollies, with -- with that woman looking over her? Chloe's enough to give anyone nightmares.
E.J.: Samantha, just stop, will you, okay? Chloe is fine, all right? This isn't easy for me, either, you know?
Sami: But it's not about you or me. It's about Allie. It's about doing what's best for her. And I don't think taking her away from everything that is familiar to her is what's best, especially the way it's happening -- pulling her away from all this stuff so -- so harshly. I just think she won't understand.
E.J.: I think she's more like her mother than you think.
Sami: Well, that's not exactly comforting. I mean, look what happened to me in my childhood, with my Fathers coming and going with no reasonable explanation. My Mom was taken from me and then miraculously brought back. All of that completely messed me up. I wasn't exactly a poster teen for mental health.
E.J.: Look, there's nothing that drastic happening here.
Sami: Really? Well, how drastic does it have to be to become unreasonable?
E.J.: Samantha, if you don't want to upset her, just do your part. She'll take a cue from you, you know? It's about time you start trying to make things better instead of making them worse.
Sami: What is that supposed to mean? What exactly could I have done to make things better?
E.J.: Well, to start off with, you could have stayed married to me.
John: Don't you think that you're rushing things a little bit, especially considering what happened between us the other day?
Marlena: No, I don't. In fact, John, I-I think that I have wasted too much time on you already.
John: You're saying that I'm a waste of time?
Marlena: No. No. No. No. Not -- not you. Just...the marriage. You told me yourself that the man I love is dead and gone, remember? And -- and you were right about that. I just couldn't accept that because I... I loved that man so very much. I couldn't let go, but... you're right. He's gone. So now I -- now I can accept it. Now I can move on.
John: Well, I may not be the man that I was, but I'm still your husband.
Marlena: In name only. We haven't lived as husband and wife since -- oh, my gosh, since -- since you lost your memory.
John: You know, that's an easy fix. You can just move back in with me.
Marlena: It's -- oh, it's not that easy.
John: You don't seem to understand. When I found you lying on the floor of your townhouse unconscious and you weren't breathing, I thought you were dead, and that's when I realized just how important you are to me.
Marlena: I really appreciate you saying that. The truth is, I've made up my mind now, and -- and, um -- not just about the marriage. That -- that is over, but I-I have decided that I am going to start to date. Date. I've been invited for supper by Trent Robbins.
John: That's the man you had breakfast with.
Marlena: Yes, it is.
John: Are you interested?
Marlena: I don't -- I don't know. I don't know. I mean, he -- he made a rather bad first impression, and there are some things about him that really sort of bothered me.
John: Such as?
Marlena: Well -- such as things that are really none of your business. John, it's just about things that happened a long time ago, when he was married and had a family.
John: I don't like this.
Marlena: Well, that's -- that's too bad.
John: We're still married, and I don't want you seeing him.
Marlena: Oh, my gosh. Are you jealous?
Lexie: Um, listen, do you mind if I have a minute alone with my brother?
Anna: Certainly. I could use all the help I can get. You have my permission to tell my husband what a fool he's being.
Kate: Well, sorry, my friend, but I agree with your wife and your sister.
Tony: Oh, thanks for the support. Alexandra... how nice it is to see you, even though I feel I'm in for some sort of lecture.
Lexie: I have been so busy at the hospital with the lock down and the fallout it's caused.
Tony: You can thank Father for that.
Lexie: Yeah, I know. So, how are you and Anna?
Tony: Oh, we're fine... although she's having a difficult time adjusting to her -- her new quarters.
Lexie: Yeah, I know. She called me. She's very upset and worried about you and E.J.
Tony: Oh, dear. You know, I love her dearly, but she's strictly over-reacting.
Lexie: And you are completely out of your mind if you're planning on going up against Father.
Tony: Oh, here it comes. I'm not surprised that you don't approve.
Lexie: Of course I don't. Tony, do I need to remind you of what he's done to us and just about everyone in Salem?
Tony: Alexandra, I'm very well aware of the atrocities that our father is responsible for. That's why I have to stay there and fight. That's why we have to remain in the mansion.
Lexie: What, to keep tabs on him?
Tony: No. What's the expression? "Keep your friends close --"
Lexie: "And your enemies closer"? Now you and Father are enemies?
Tony: No, I prefer the term "rivals."
Lexie: [Sighs] Tony, this isn't good.
Tony: Father's ensconced himself in the east wing of the mansion. He's remodeling. He's making vast architectural changes.
Lexie: Architectural changes? For what?
Tony: He doesn't say, but my guess is he's probably rebuilding the laboratory, since John destroyed the last one.
Lexie: [Scoffs] Great. So he can kidnap and torture more innocent people.
Tony: E.J.'s got an injunction. Nobody can remove or change anything in that mansion until a judge determines who has the legal right for all the DiMera monies and properties.
Lexie: But Father's doing it, anyway?
Tony: Of course.
Lexie: You know, he truly believes he's above the law.
Tony: Do you understand why it's imperative that we stay in that mansion?
Lexie: No, I don't.
Tony: The DiMera Empire's up for grabs.
Lexie: I don't give a damn about the DiMera Empire, Tony, and neither should you.
Tony: This is not about me, and it's not about you, for that matter. It is about the next generation -- the next DiMeras -- and that includes your son, Theo.
E.J.: What I mean is, I think things would have turned out differently if you and I were still married.
Sami: How would being married to you have helped my case?
E.J.: Well, I think if the judge had seen evidence of a strong and committed marriage, he would have been more disposed to give you custody of Allie.
Sami: You're dreaming. Being married to you wouldn't have helped me one little bit.
E.J.: Now we'll never know.
Sami: Besides, I don't need you or Lucas. I can take care of and provide for my children all by myself.
E.J.: How? Samantha, you don't have any viable income. You don't have a permanent residence.
Sami: It's not like Lucas does, either. He's going to the Horton cabin. Have you ever been there? The shower is outside. It is no place for a child. Didn't the court take that into account?
E.J.: I'm sure that the court took all of those things under consideration.
Sami: Not to mention the fact that Lucas is an ex-con, for God's sake. I'm sure the judge really considered that little gem.
E.J.: The judge would have to consider that little gem, but he would also have to consider things like the difficulties that you had with Will.
Sami: What difficulties?
E.J.: Well, the fact that Will was so -- for lack of a better word -- disgusted with you that he ran off to live with your sister and her husband.
Sami: That has nothing to do with the situation.
E.J.: Samantha, the judge can consider any information that he considers to be germane to the case.
Sami: That's not fair.
E.J.: Listen. Stop for a second, will you? You need to be realistic. This is about the most natural thing in the world.
Sami: What is?
E.J.: Two parents who don't live together coming together to raise their child. I don't know why you can't understand that.
Sami: Look, I don't care what you say. I'm not giving her up. I won't do it.
E.J.: Samantha, Lucas is her father.
Sami: Then he should love her enough to see what I see and feel what I feel, which is a protective anger like I have never known. I won't let Allie down. I won't.
Bo: Mmm. A little afternoon delight. I likes it. You know, we got to do this picnic-in-the-park thing more often.
Hope: You got it. You want to guess what's in here?
Bo: I don't have to guess. I smell liverwurst on rye. Is that it?
Hope: Correct. It's your lucky day, Brady
Bo: Yeah. I thought you said "gourmet."
Hope: Well, I bought it. It's gourmet enough, isn't it? And I know how much you love it.
Bo: Yes, I do. Are you, um, trying to butter me up?
Hope: Me? Little old me? Absolutely not. I already have your undying love and affection. What else does a girl need?
Bo: This is true.
Hope: Ohh! Good Lord!
Bo: I haven't had one of these in years.
Hope: Oh, the smell, the cholesterol -- it doesn't do it for me.
Bo: Oh, my favorite part.
Hope: Mnh-mnh. Since we're enjoying the great outdoors, I thought I'd give you a little treat.
Bo: Mm-hmm... and it's delicious. You want a bite?
Hope: No. It's all yours.
Bo: You sure?
Hope: No. You enjoy it.
Hope: No. I am sure.
Bo: Where'd you take off to earlier?
Hope: I went to the hospital to see Daniel. I wanted to talk to him about Chelsea.
Hope: Because he's the reason that she left town and went to France.
Bo: Did she tell you that?
Hope: No, she didn't have to. Well, she did, but... [Exhales deeply] she said she was going to see Max and Stephanie, but, clearly, it was more than that. And I thought possibly I could get more out of him.
Bo: And did you?
Hope: Mnh-mnh. All I know is that they had an argument. I felt so sad for her, driving her to the airport. Brady, she was upset. She was so sad. Hey, at least she's with Max and Stephanie, right? And she said that nick was there.
Bo: Yeah. Right. You know, I've warned her -- I told -- I got to talk to him.
Hope: You're not talking to him. You're not seeing him. You're not doing anything. Trust me, you're not gonna get more out of him than I did, which was absolutely nothing. They're grown-ups. They'll figure it out themselves -- or not.
Bo: Well, there's -- there's got to be something I can do.
Hope: There isn't.
Bo: So I just let her work this out on her own?
Hope: That's exactly what you do. We need to stay out of it. And what you need to do is finish that liverwurst sandwich. Then we can get back to what we were doing.
Bo: Oh, come here. Give me a 'mooch.
Anna: Morgan. How are you doing? I'm so sorry to hear about your father.
Morgan: Thank you. You know, it's been really frustrating for me, 'cause I know my Father didn't commit all those crimes, but there's nothing I can do. He won't tell me the truth, so...
Anna: Well, can I buy you a drink or something?
Morgan: No, I'm okay. Thanks.
Anna: Honey, I know this is hard on you, but you can't let it get you down. Look, you're young and beautiful, and you have your whole life ahead of you. You can't give up. You have to keep pushing through and go for what you want.
Morgan: You know what? You're right. I'm actually looking for an internship for the fall. Do you need anyone?
Anna: Oh, unfortunately, Lumberg Advertising went out of business. I'm working with Tony's company now.
Morgan: Oh, how wonderful for the two of you.
Anna: Yes, it is.
Morgan: Well, since I've already interned for Mr. DiMera, though, it's not an option for me.
Anna: Wait a minute. I think I have the perfect place for you.
Morgan: You do?
Anna: Yes. How would you like to intern with one of our biggest clients?
Lexie: Oh, no. I don't want my son anywhere near our Father or his money.
Tony: I understand. But I would think that Johnny and Theo would appreciate a little nest egg when they grow up. Life is difficult enough. Why not give them a head start?
Lexie: You're saying you're fighting Father for your nephews' inheritances?
Tony: Well, that, and to reclaim our family name.
Lexie: Well, too late for that. The DiMera name conjures up only hatred and fear.
Tony: Well, that's why E.J. and I want to create a legacy that we all can be proud of.
Lexie: Tony, that's very noble of you, but it's also very dangerous. Family or not, Father's not just gonna sit back and let you take over his empire. You need to walk away now. Let whatever bad blood there is between John and our Father play out between the two of them. You and E.J. do not want to be in the middle of this, trust me.
Tony: Alexandra, in order for us to create a new legacy, we have to fight for ultimate control. That's why I have to stay -- to wrangle power from both John and Stefano.
Lexie: I wish you luck, big brother. You're going to need it.
E.J.: Samantha, I couldn't love Allie any more if she were my own, you know? That's why I went to such great lengths to try and keep our family together.
Sami: Oh, that's right. By lying about the annulment and getting a court order so that I can't leave this nuthouse with my son.
E.J.: Samantha, I did those things to help you.
Sami: To help me? Have you lost your mind? You think it was helping me to keep me held hostage here? I still can't take my son out of this house. Do you realize how twisted that is?
E.J.: Samantha, my motivation has always been you, doing what I can to protect those that I love.
Sami: That is not love, E.J. That is control. You think I'm a control freak? You are the worst.
Marlena: You are a hypocrite, John. You see, for months, you were dating Ava Vitali. You even had a little sleep over with her. Remember, now? I stopped by the mansion unannounced, and there you were, and there she was -- in your bathrobe. So you had no problem dating while we were married. I don't know. Why should I?
John: That was different.
Marlena: Really? How was that different?
John: I don't want to talk about it.
Marlena: Didn't think you would. Bye-bye, John.
Lucas: You're not in middle school anymore. You can't be staring at her like that. You got to go talk to her.
Philip: You're right. This is crazy. Hi.
Philip: You're not gonna let this go?
Morgan: Philip, you threatened to kill my Father. I'm sorry. That's not something I can forget very easily.
Philip: Haven't you ever said something in the heat of an argument that you didn't really mean?
Morgan: Well, I've never threatened to kill someone.
Philip: Look, I'm sorry I said that. I really am. Not to be callous, but I get a little carried away when it comes to business, okay? And what you and I have is anything but that.
Tony: I appreciate your concern, Alexandra, but this is something E.J. and I feel the need to do. We are going to bring Stefano and John to their knees, and a new era of good, upstanding, respectable DiMeras are about to be born.
Lexie: I'm sorry. I can't support you. As far as I'm concerned, you and E.J. are baiting the devil. You do realize that father could annihilate you, don't you?
Tony: I'm not worried.
Lexie: You should be.
Kate: Sounds great. All right. Talk to you later. [Coughing]
Anna: Golly, Kate, that cough sounds terrible.
Kate: I know. It's just -- I had a cold, and this cough has hung on.
Anna: Yeah, they do that.
Kate: I'll tell you one thing. I wish I had stock in the company that makes these cough drops.
Sami: Okay, this isn't about us. This is about Allie. So, are you gonna help me file the appeal or not?
E.J.: Look, Samantha, before we do anything, you need to consider two very important things.
Sami: Like what?
E.J.: The first is that if you file for full custody of Allie, you could lose.
Sami: I know that. But, come on. Allie's a baby. I'm her mother. No judge in the world is gonna take her away from me.
E.J.: Samantha, you don't know that.
Sami: What's the second thing?
E.J.: The second thing is that after you file, you need to be a perfect model citizen, which means not plotting and scheming. Don't give me that innocent look.
Sami: Come on, E.J. What do you expect me to do -- just wait around for the courts to decide what's best? It could take months for them to sort out this mess.
E.J.: Samantha, if you start doing anything crazy, you're going to make the situation worse.
Sami: Okay, fine.
E.J.: All right. After you file, you need to understand that every move that you move -- everything that you do -- is going to be subject to the scrutiny of the courts. I know how you are... and I'm telling you -- I'm not gonna have you pulling any of these stunts around Johnny.
Sami: You're threatening me?
E.J.: No. I'm telling you you need to remain focused and you need to act responsibly. And if you don't... you're gonna force me to choose Johnny over you.
Sami: I don't understand why you are taking such a hard line with me here.
E.J.: Because he's my son, Samantha.
Sami: Well, you can't possibly be forgetting that he is my son, too.
John: So, what are you two kids fighting about now?
Anna: Kate, come on. I think I better take you to the emergency room. You need to have that cough checked out.
Kate: It is not an emergency, please.
Anna: I know, but it might be quicker than waiting for an appointment with your doctor. Come on. You'll run in, have one of those hunky doctors look you over, and you'll be done.
Kate: Oh, great. You know, with my luck, I'll just end up waiting in line, and I have so much to do today. I am swamped, so...
Anna: I'm sure it's nothing, but I think you should have it looked at just to be on the safe side.
Kate: Okay. Look, I'll make you a deal. If it doesn't go away in a few days, I'm gonna see a doctor, okay?
Anna: Okay. That's a deal.
Kate: Good. [Coughing]
Philip: I miss you. Look, I know we got off to a rocky start, but don't you think we can just forget about it and start over?
Tony: Now, you give my best to Abraham, and give a big hug to Theo.
Lexie: Okay. I will. Listen, I want you to think about what I said. If you persist with this plan, you could end up getting hurt -- or worse.
Tony: I'm not changing my mind.
Lucas: Hey, Mickey, what's up? Today? That's great news. Uh, yeah, yeah, I will. Yeah, and thank you for everything you've done. I really appreciate it. I'm on my way.
Sami: E.J. here is busy trying to tell me how to run my life.
E.J.: No. I'm explaining to Samantha that she needs to keep her emotions in check and not do anything crazy, especially if she wishes to appeal the judge's decision.
John: Well, he has a point... especially since you have already told me about some of the irrational things you've done in the past.
Sami: Oh, go ahead, Mom. I'm sure you want to weigh in here, too. What's your opinion?
Marlena: Well, since you asked, I think you should leave well enough alone.
Sami: What does that mean?
Marlena: Be thankful the judge has given you joint custody, and I just think that's fair.
Sami: Are you kidding me, Mom? You don't think I should be upset that they want to take Allie away from me like this?
Marlena: They're not taking her away from you. They are giving her to her father part time.
E.J.: Thank you. That's what I've been trying to tell her.
Sami: Oh, fine! Just go to hell!
Marlena: Oh, darling.
John: I'll talk to her.
Sami: What do you want?
John: I'm here to offer my support. I can see how...difficult this is for you.
Sami: I just feel that this whole nightmare is going to have long-term damaging effects on Allie, and I don't understand why no one else sees that.
John: Oh, I do.
Sami: Don't patronize me.
John: I'm not. I know about trauma. It bites. So count on me, Samantha. We will arrive at a solution.
Morgan: Look, Philip, I know your dealings with my father were business -- okay? -- And I am certainly not naive enough to think that he's completely innocent. But whatever he did or didn't do, he's still my Father, and I love him. I always will. So the fact that you threatened to kill him is something I will never be able to forget.
Philip: If it weren't for all the bad stuff, you think we would have made it as a couple?
Morgan: You know, I guess we'll never know. Take care of yourself, Philip, okay?
Anna: Oh, you know, Kate, I've been meaning to tell you that I think I found the perfect new intern for you. She's really great. Would you like to meet her?
Kate: Uh, well, no. I can't because I have a meeting. But you could have her talk to Chris, my assistant. He could interview her, see if she's good for the job.
Anna: Okay, I will do that, 'cause I think you're really gonna like her.
Kate: Great. I'm looking forward to it. Thanks, Anna.
Tony: Kate. Philip, can you spare a few minutes?
Philip: Yeah, I suppose.
Tony: We need to have a talk... about our future.
Sami: Thank you. Thanks, John. Um, I really appreciate your support. It means a lot to me.
John: Oh, it's no problem. I'm just trying to help. And, look, I understand E.J. is trying to be realistic, telling me that I have to stick to the straight and narrow and be really careful and stay out of trouble, but when he started going off about how he was gonna take Johnny away from me if I did something that he didn't like -- I mean, come on. Who is he to judge my behavior?
John: Samantha, he will not keep Johnny from you, because I won't let him.
Sami: Thank you. Thank you, John. You have no idea how much that means to me.
Marlena: Thank you for helping Sami understand the reason in this.
E.J.: She doesn't really have much of a choice. She either obeys the court's decision or she challenges it and risks losing her.
Marlena: I know. That's what had me worried.
E.J.: Excuse me a second. One second. Oh! Daddy's phone's ringing. Yes, it is. Hold on. Hello? Hi. Yeah. Today? All right. Thank you. [Sighs] Lucas is coming over to get Allie.
Marlena: So soon?
E.J.: Apparently so.
Sami: Lucas. Hey.
Lucas: I'm here to get Allie.
Sami: What? You're getting her now? Lucas, you can't just do that. No one told me that -- she's not prepared for -- E.J...
E.J.: The judge called. You knew this was coming, Samantha. Lucas' official time with Allie starts now. You have to let her go.
Lucas: There's my sweet, little thing. How you doing? I missed you so much. We're gonna have a lot of fun today -- that I can promise. I'll get her things.
E.J.: You want to see Mummy? There you go.
Sami: Hi. Hi. Whoa. Roly-poly. Hi, squirmy. Mommy loves you, sweetheart. Mommy loves you so much.
Bo: Do you know how much I love you?
Hope: I do. I do. But you can tell me again, you know? I love hearing it.
Bo: Yeah. I couldn't have made it through these last few weeks without you.
Hope: I'll always be here for you. You know that, Brady.
Bo: Thanks. I did not want to drag you into this whole mess with the Hollingsworth case.
Hope: You didn't drag me into anything. I forced your hand. We're partners -- on everything. Remember that.
Bo: Yeah. I hope I.A. rules in our favor. 'Cause if they don't, we may lose our jobs, our pension. What?
Hope: You're getting way ahead of yourself. Once I.A. makes a decision, then we'll know where we stand. Let's not worry about it yet, okay?
Bo: You're right, as usual.
Hope: Of course.
Bo: Like I said, I don't know what I'd do without you.
Hope: Lucky for you, you're never gonna have to find out.
Bo: That's true. Make me a promise.
Hope: Ooh, I don't like it when you make me make promises.
Bo: Oh, this isn't bad.
Bo: Let's do this.
Hope: Just give it to me.
Bo: The picnic-in-the-park thing more often.
Hope: Which part? The liverwurst sandwich or the making-out part?
Philip: What is this, Tony? Some kind of trick?
Tony: No, no. No tricks, I assure you.
Philip: Then what?
Tony: It's John.
Philip: Go on.
Tony: E.J. and I have taken over family interests.
Tony: Uh-huh. And our first order of business is to remove John from the equation. Because the two of you are involved in some kind of turf war, E.J. and I are offering to align ourselves with you to bring John down.
Philip: What does Stefano have to say about this plan?
Tony: Absolutely nothing.
Philip: I find that hard to believe.
Tony: [Chuckles] Well, let me clarify. Stefano's aware of our plans. Obviously, he's not very happy with the prospect of losing his power base, but he's no longer calling the shots.
Philip: So you're not here as Stefano's mouthpiece?
Tony: No. I speak for myself and E.J. John has got to go. When he's out, we'll take care of my Father. So, Philip, the DiMera brothers are ready to deal. The question is... are you?
Sami: You be good and you listen to your Daddy, okay? A couple more for you. You listen to your Daddy, Pumpkin. I love you so much, and I'm gonna miss you every second you're gone, okay?
Lucas: I guess I got everything.
John: You will take care of her?
Lucas: Of course. Yeah, don't worry about it. Tsk. Aw.
Sami: [Exhales deeply]
Lucas: You ready to go, baby girl? Come on. Come to Daddy. Come here.
E.J.: Not to me. No.
Lucas: Here we go. Hi.
Sami: Here you go, sweetheart. Here you go. Hold on to these, okay? Mommy loves you. I'll miss you.
Lucas: I guess we'll see you.
E.J.: It's gonna be okay.
Sami: No, it's not gonna be okay at all, E.J.! This is gonna cause long-lasting damage to my little girl, and I don't understand why I am the only person here who sees that! Well, I'm not gonna sit by and stand for this. I am going to do something to fix this, and you are not gonna stop me!
Kate: Can't you just give me some antibiotics for now?
Kayla: I can't blindly treat your symptoms until I know the cause.
Steve: If we can find out who his wife is, maybe it'll explain why he's so hell-bent on keeping Max from his sister.
Stephanie: She must have skipped town.
Max: Before I get a chance to know her, she's gone.
