Nicole: Why are you keeping this from me, Trent?

Trent: Why the hell don't you just leave it alone? What's it to you?

Nicole: Because I'm curious. That's all. A brother trying to find his sister seems like a good thing to me. But for some reason, you're trying to keep Melanie and Max apart. Why is that? Me you were connected to these two?

Nick: Would you have come with me if I had?

Max: Yeah, why did you come, then, Mel?

Melanie: Well, I figured you guys would have been bailed out by now.

Stephanie: Well, we're not unlike you. You know, you could have tried to help us, but you didn't. And after everything we did for you.

Melanie: So you're saying I owe you.

Stephanie: Yeah, you'd still be in here if it weren't for us.

Melanie: That's not the way I see it.

Nick: Wait, what do you mean? You guys bailed her out and then she -- you left them here?

Max: Yeah.

Melanie: Actually, neither of them bailed me out. My friend George took care of that.

Stephanie: It's no use, Nick. She's impossible to talk to.

Melanie: Look, I'm sorry you guys are in here, okay? What do you want me to say? It stinks. And if there was anything I could do, I would.

Max: Oh, you can't?

Melanie: Well, I'm not made of Euros.

Stephanie: Well, you better figure out something to do, because the only reason we're in here is because of you.

Melanie: Now that's not entirely true. I mean, if you would have never run your mouth off at that guard --

Stephanie: Are you kidding me? Are you blaming me? Melanie, you were the thief here.

Max: Steph, look, it's not worth it.

Stephanie: She walks around like she's totally innocent.

Nick: What do you mean she's the only reason you guys are in here?

Stephanie: The cops found a bracelet she stole in Max's possession. That's how we got arrested.

Nick: Is that true?

Melanie: Well, ask her. She seems to have all the answers.

Stephanie: You're enjoying this, aren't you?

Max: You know what? Both of you, stop, please.

Melanie: Look, I didn't ask for any of this. You're the one that came looking for me, remember?

Stephanie: Yeah, and what a huge mistake that was.

Caroline: Hey, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Hey, Grandma.

Caroline: Well, how's my beautiful granddaughter?

Chelsea: I'm okay. You know, I thought I would just come in and say hi since I had a couple minutes before work.

Caroline: Well, your dad tells me that the children just love you. And they hate it when you leave.

Chelsea: Well, we all know Dad exaggerates a little bit, but, um, yeah, I have pretty good relationships with most of my patients.

Caroline: Soon you're gonna be a licensed therapist.

Chelsea: Yeah, I just have to finish taking all the required courses, which I'm gonna do in the fall.

Caroline: Well, dear, seems like you found your calling.

Chelsea: I think so.

Caroline: Can I get you something, sweetheart?

Chelsea: Yes. Um, an iced coffee to go?

Caroline: Black with two sugars?

Chelsea: You got it. Thank you.

Victor: Well, Chelsea, what a pleasant surprise.

Chelsea: Hey, Gramps, how you feeling?

Victor: Oh, stronger every day.

Chelsea: That's good to hear.

Victor: And how's everything with you?

Chelsea: You know, it's okay. I mean, obviously, a few things could be better.

Henderson: Shall we find you somewhere to sit, sir?

Chelsea: You guys enjoy your meal, and you get better.

Victor: Thank you, Chelsea.

Chelsea: You're welcome. It's good to see you, Henderson.

Henderson: You too, dear. Always a pleasure.

Caroline: Here you go, darling. On the house.

Chelsea: Thank you so much.

Caroline: Victor.

Victor: Caroline. Can we have a couple of menus, please?

Caroline: No, you may not. I want you to leave.

Victor: I'm sorry?

Caroline: You're not welcome here anymore, Victor.

Daniel: How'd that feel?

Philip: Not entirely pleasant, but not excruciating.

Daniel: Good.

Philip: So, they got you working overtime, huh?

Daniel: For now, yeah, while the hospital's still in chaos.

Philip: So, how am I doing?

Daniel: Well, your wound is healing nicely -- no sign of infection. Doesn't look like the scarring's gonna be significant.

Philip: That's too bad. I was planning on showing it off to the ladies.

Daniel: [Chuckles] Yeah. Well, I'll bring a nurse in to redress your bandages.

Philip: And then what?

Daniel: Well, you're on your way, man. You got someone to drive you home?

Kate: Of course he does.

Bo: Come on, Roman. Where are you?

Hope: Are you sure you want to go through with this?

Bo: Having second thoughts?

Hope: Yeah, of course I am. I've got nothing but second thoughts.

Bo: I'll do what you want. I mean, I dragged you into this.

Hope: No, no, you didn't drag me into anything.

Bo: I'm the one who tampered with evidence in the Hollingsworth case. I'm not gonna let them implicate you.

Hope: Look, let's not worry about that right now, okay? Let's just worry about Roman and whether or not he can keep this quiet. Because if he can't, it'll be disastrous.

Roman: Let me be the judge of that.

Kate: So, doc, how's my son doing, hmm?

Daniel: Well, the doctor says he's ready to go home, provided he doesn't drive.

Philip: I was gonna call a car.

Kate: Now, why would you do that when I'm right here?

Philip: That's okay, Mom. I don't want to bother you. I can get myself home.

Kate: Oh, I see. You think that I'm being overprotective? I'm babying you?

Philip: Did I say that?

Kate: He always thinks I'm hovering over him.

Philip: You? Never.

Daniel: Well, if I may just put my two cents in, you're pretty lucky to have a mother like Kate.

[Cellphone rings]

Kate: Oh. Sorry. I have to take this. I'll be waiting for you when you're ready.

Daniel: Well, uh, like I said, I'll have a nurse come in to redress your bandages. She'll give you a few instructions on cleaning up the wound, all right?

Philip: All right. Cool.

Daniel: And I'll go find your mother, tell her you need, oh, a few minutes?

Kate: Okay. Okay, we'll talk.

Daniel: Well, Philip -- he's gonna -- he's gonna be a couple more minutes.

Kate: Great.

Daniel: Everything okay?

Kate: Yeah, it's fine.

Daniel: Are you sure?

Kate: I mean, I'm just a little stressed. Things are a little stressed at the office. And then there was this whole lock down here at the hospital. I think that was a little unsettling for everyone, don't you?

Daniel: Well, thank God it's over.

Kate: And then there is this sense of dread I have that Chelsea will find out about us.

Daniel: No, she is not gonna find out, Kate.

Kate: Yeah? And how do you know that?

Victor: This, uh, pub is open to the public, I assume.

Caroline: Well, not to you. Not anymore.

Henderson: Perhaps I should wait in the car, sir.

Victor: I'll call you when I need you, Henderson.

Caroline: You won't have to wait long, Henderson.

Victor: Is this the way you treat a man who's recovering from a stroke?

Caroline: Hmm, this is how I treat a man who puts our son at terrible risk.

Victor: What is it you think you know, Caroline?

Caroline: I know what I saw and what I heard at the church. I saw a man who was acting as if he knew more about what was going on than he wanted to say.

Victor: You're right. I did.

Caroline: Well, you gonna tell me what it is?

Victor: Sit down. Please. The evidence that the reporter was referring to --

Caroline: The reporter accused Bo of tampering with evidence, and Bo admitted to it. And I think you know why.

Victor: I do. The evidence had to do with Philip. It cast suspicion on him for something that he did not do. Bo understood that and gave the evidence to me.

Caroline: What did you do with it?

Victor: It's been destroyed.

Caroline: [Exhales sharply] So...Philip is safe and Bo could lose everything because of you?

Victor: You have every right to be angry, Caroline, but you can't blame it all on me. Bo did what he thought was right.

Caroline: I know you, Victor. You manipulated him in thinking he had to protect his brother. You forced him to do something that -- it's against everything he stands for. Oh, God. I can never forgive you for this.

Roman: All right, what do I have to keep quiet about? What's the potential disaster here?

Bo: We're talking about the Hollingsworth case.

Roman: Bo, come on. You know I can't talk to you about that. You are under an internal investigation.

Bo: I'm not gonna get a lecture here, am I?

Roman: It's not a lecture. It's a statement of fact.

Bo: Well, how about this as a fact? I'm your brother and I need your help. So can we throw away the book here for a minute?

Roman: What, like you did? Yeah, yeah, that's a great idea. Hell, we'll all go down the tubes. We'll make it a family affair.

Bo: I need to talk to you not as my boss, but as my brother.

Hope: Roman, please. Just hear him out.

Roman: I can't do that.

Bo: We're family, Roman. What I did was because of family. So how about you get off your moral high horse and listen to what I have to say?

Trent: I will be there as soon as I can.

Nicole: Hey. You gonna answer me?

Trent: I'm not gonna discuss my children with you.

Nicole: Who wants a discussion? I asked a question. That's all.

Trent: I told you to leave it alone.

Nicole: Oh. I must have hit a nerve, huh?

Trent: This is none of your business. This is about my son and my daughter.

Nicole: Fine. I'll be on my way. What are you doing?

Trent: Sit down.

Nicole: Rude.

Trent: Sit down.

Nicole: Apparently, I'm no fun at all -- noisy, obnoxious, yet you won't let me leave. What, are you a glutton for punishment?

Trent: If you try to leave again before I'm through with you, I'll go over and introduce myself to Mr. Kiriakis. He and I can get to know each other.

Nicole: You wouldn't.

Trent: Hmm, I'm sure it'd be quite interesting. Hell, for him it'd be a honest-to-God revelation -- you know, learning that his sweet little greedy ex-wife, who was never actually his wife at all, defrauded him out of a huge divorce settlement. Well, that'd probably make his day.

Melanie: All right, there is no need to get nasty.

Max: My girlfriend has every right to be furious with you. Both of us do. But this fighting and arguing is not getting us anywhere.

Melanie: I agree.

Stephanie: Okay. How about this, then? You get on your phone, call your little friend George, you know, the guy who bailed you out? The one who is made of Euros?

Melanie: I'm sorry. That's a no can do. I'm afraid George is on his way to boarding school in London, and I'm pretty sure his plane is way above the clouds by now.

Max: So you have no way of helping us?

Melanie: Not that I can think of. But what a minute. I'm sure your BFF Nick could come up with something. Right, Nick?

Nurse: Is it too tight?

Philip: It's fine.

Nurse: Great. Well, you're all set to go.

Philip: Thank you.

Nurse: Mm-hmm.

Philip: [Grunts]

Chelsea: Hey, you leaving us?

Philip: Yeah, just on my way to check out.

Chelsea: Well, that's good news.

Philip: Who's your friend?

Chelsea: This is Erin. Erin's mommy's a little late picking her up, so we're gonna go get some fun stickers from the nurses' station, aren't we? She loves them.

Philip: It looks like love if I've ever seen it.

Chelsea: Erin. Erin, this is Philip.

Philip: Hi. Nice to meet you, Erin.

Chelsea: Do you want to say hi to Philip?

Erin: Hello.

Philip: Hey. How are you?

Erin: How are you?

Philip: I'M...fine.

Erin: I'm fine.

Chelsea: Erin, can you look at Philip when you talk to him? There you go. Good girl. Now, can you look at me? Thank you very much. I love when you look at me. Makes me feel very, very good. Okay, let's go get those stickers.

Nurse: Hey, I'll help her, Chelsea. I'm going that way.

Chelsea: Thank you.

Nurse: Hey, let's go.

Philip: I am impressed.

Chelsea: Yeah, she's making really great progress.

Philip: Thanks to you.

Chelsea: Oh, it's not just me. She's got a lot of help.

Philip: Yeah, but you two seem to have a real connection.

Chelsea: You know what? We kind of do. Hey, um, have you seen Daniel by any chance? I've been looking for him.

Philip: Yeah, I have, in fact. He's with my Mom somewhere around here.

Kate: If Chelsea finds out, if Chelsea gets hurt --

Daniel: Right, you can't take it. You couldn't live with it. I'll ruin your life. I get that.

Kate: Sounds like you're mocking me.

Daniel: Yeah, well, Kate, I've already heard it, and I have tried to reassure you.

Kate: Well, maybe you're not very good at reassurance.

Daniel: I need to go see my patients.

Kate: You know, don't do that. Don't do that when I'm just voicing my concerns.

Daniel: No, they're more than concerns, Kate. They're obsessions. Do you want Chelsea to find out? Is that why you can't just let this go?

Kate: Now, why would you say something like that?

Daniel: Because since the beginning, I have told you once I got involved with Chelsea, she would never need to know what happened between us, and she never would, but that doesn't seem to be enough for you.

Kate: Because things like this -- secrets -- have a way of coming out.

Daniel: How? How is it gonna get out? You tell me that. No one else even knows.

Kate: Just go back to your patients.

Daniel: No, you know why I think you keep hammering at this?

Kate: Why? Why? Why don't you tell me why?

Daniel: Well, 'cause sometimes I think you resent that I moved on, that it's over between us.

Kate: Wow. You are one egotistical bastard.

Daniel: Am I? Well, there is some reason that you keep going on and on and on.

Kate: Yes, there is. There is a reason. Because I love Chelsea and because she's been through a lot of pain and I don't want to see her go through that again. Is that a reason enough for you? Do you get that?

Daniel: Yeah. And I'm sorry.

Kate: Well, you should be.

Daniel: Look, Kate, please. I-I-I just -- I was unkind, and I regret that. But I swear to you, I will do whatever it takes to protect Chelsea.

Kate: Well, that's all I ask. And don't worry. The obsession ends here.

Daniel: No, Kate, listen -- that's not what I'm sa--

Kate: No. Don't touch me.

Victor: I feel terrible about this, Caroline.

Caroline: Not bad enough to stop you from doing it.

Victor: I would never have involved Bo if he hadn't come to me regarding Philip in the first place.

Caroline: He came to you because he was doing his job, a job that you prevented him from doing.

Victor: I love my son as much as you do, Caroline. And it pains me terribly to see him in such a predicament.

Caroline: You guilted him into this predicament. He saw you laying there in a hospital bed weak, unable to speak, a man about to die any minute. He couldn't say no, could he?

Victor: I was protecting Philip.

Caroline: At Bo's expense.

Victor: Well, if I had it to do over --

Caroline: [Scoffs] I'm not sure you would change a thing.

Victor: Perhaps you're right. I should go.

Caroline: You should never have come here.

Victor: Just one more mistake that I've made. Goodbye, Caroline.

Caroline: I wish Bo had never found out that you were his father.

Chelsea: Daniel's with your mom? Is she okay?

Philip: Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, she's fine. She was just giving me a ride.

Chelsea: All right.

Philip: What's up? You look like you have something on your mind.

Chelsea: Well, actually, yeah. There was something I wanted to talk to you about. Um, you know what happened when my Dad and Hope were renewing their vows, right?

Philip: Yeah, of course I do. That's terrible.

Chelsea: It is, and, you know, I've just been thinking and I thought that maybe what happened at the church may have had something to do with Victor.

Philip: Why would you think that?

Chelsea: Because I know that there was something going on with him and my Dad. I mean, that's why Daniel had to cut off all of his visitors. So I wanted to know if maybe you knew what was going on between them. Okay, so I'm assuming that you do and you also know what the evidence was, right? Philip, tell me what you know.

Philip: You're not gonna let this go, are you?

Chelsea: No, I'm not.

Philip: All right. Look, I won't get into specifics, but that evidence your dad got rid of, it had to do with me.

Chelsea: What did you do?

Philip: I didn't do anything. That's the point, but this evidence made it look as though I did. That's why Bo got rid of it.

Chelsea: And you just stood back and let him take the rap for you, Philip? He's risking everything here.

Philip: Look, Bo...your father, my brother -- but what can you say? Um, sometimes people make bad choices.

Roman: Okay. Talk to me. What do you got to tell me?

Bo: First I got to know who I'm talking to -- my boss or my brother.

Roman: I thought I made that clear the first time.

Bo: I'd like you to reconsider.

Roman: [Sighs] Okay. All right. You're talking to your brother.

Bo: Thank you. The evidence that I tampered with was in that package that Paul sent his daughter. There was a tape. Philip threatened to kill Paul.

Roman: And you destroyed it? Bo, what the hell were you thinking?

Bo: Come on, give me a little more credit than that. This is the original tape. The copy that was destroyed was a duplicate.

Roman: What?

Bo: I pulled a bait and switch.

Roman: Okay, okay, but why in the hell are you holding it? Why didn't you turn this copy over to the Salem P.D.? You let that entire fiasco at the wedding go on when all this time you got a duplicate tape. Why?

Bo: Because without tangible evidence, we got nothing in this case.

Hope: Look, whatever happened to Hollingsworth, someone set Philip up.

Bo: And we're planning on smoking him out.

Roman: When you say "him," who are you talking about?

Bo: Well, the new and rather strange John Black.

Nicole: You know what, Trent? If you wanted me to stay, all you had to do was ask nicely. But you chose to threaten me.

Trent: Well, sometimes a threat can be more effective than a request.

Nicole: You want to talk to Victor, go ahead. I won't stop you. In fact, maybe we should both go. At least then you won't have anything over me. [Cellphone rings]

Trent: What now? Which card? How could she max that one out? It had the highest cred-- all right, fine. Pay off the card and then cancel it.

Nicole: Someone likes to shop, huh? Could it be your daughter, Melanie, by any chance? Girl after my own heart.

Trent: I need something stronger than this.

Nicole: You let her keep that up, she'll put dear daddy in the poorhouse. And with the current state of the dollar in Europe, yikes. [Chuckles] Looks like I'll be picking up the tab tonight, huh?

Melanie: Well, I don't understand, Nick. I mean, didn't they give you a whole bunch of money for inventing some eco-friendly rocket ship or something?

Nick: Oh, yeah. Well, I mean, it doesn't come all at once. I mean, I barely have any of it yet. It's just a small advance.

Melanie: That's a shame.

Nick: I mean, I'm just a professor.

Melanie: And I'm just a student with, like, a million loans to pay off.

Nick: Can I talk to you for a second...alone?

Stephanie: I'm sorry, but I can't stand that girl.

Max: Could we not talk about this anymore? Because I'm starting to get a major headache.

Stephanie: Give me my phone. I'm gonna try my parents again. They should be home by now, right?

Max: Yeah.

Stephanie: Voicemail again. I'm worried.

Max: I'm sure everything's fine. Uh...did you try your mom on her cell?

Stephanie: Yeah, she's not answering. It's never this hard to get in touch with them. What if it's Joe? What if something happened to my brother?

Max: Stephanie, remember where we are, okay, and how easy it is to freak out in here? We need to think good thoughts.

Stephanie: I know, I just can't shake this feeling.

Max: Okay, well, how about I call Ma? Maybe she's seen them. I need to check in anyway.

Stephanie: Don't tell her we're in jail.

Max: I'm not gonna tell her we're in jail. I'm gonna say hi and see if everything's all right.

Nick: I thought this was your city.

Melanie: "My city"?

Nick: Yeah.

Melanie: Why, because I know all the club doormen by their first name?

Nick: Yeah, because you're really connected here and you know a lot of people. I mean, how hard could it be to get Max and Stephanie out of jail?

Max: Look, Nick, whatever --

Nick: He's your brother.

Melanie: I understand that. And I'm moved to tears just thinking about it, but I told you, there's nothing I can do. I am just as broke as you.

Nick: There's something else.

Melanie: What are you talking about?

Nick: This isn't about money, is it?

Daniel: Kate, Kate. Okay, hey. Look, I-I-I am sincerely sorry if I hurt you.

Kate: "If"?

Daniel: Look, it's been a tough couple of days. And I... never mind. No, I've got no excuses.

Kate: No. No, there are no excuses.

Daniel: Kate, I care about you.

Kate: I care about you, too, Daniel. But contrary to what you just said, I have no regrets that we ended this. And as I remember, it was a mutual decision that we would both go our separate ways. But, look, I've been on the edge, too, and that's why I'm so worried about Chelsea. Because all I seem to do lately is worry about Chelsea, about Philip.

Daniel: Now, look, Philip -- he is gonna be fine.

Kate: Yeah, I know. Physically he's gonna be fine, but it's everything else that's going on with him. I never wanted this life for him. But I guess it was inevitable that he would get into his father's business. But then there -- there's this whole ordeal with Bo and I certainly wasn't helpful with that.

Daniel: I'm not sure I understand.

Kate: Yeah, well, I've said too much already.

Daniel: I was at the wedding, Kate. I saw what went down. Did you have something to do with that?

Kate: I know about the evidence that Bo tampered with.

Daniel: What does that mean?

Kate: It means that you shouldn't ask any more questions. But please know that whatever Bo did and whatever I've done... we've done to protect the people that we love.

Caroline: If Bo hadn't found out that you were his father, this would never have happened.

Victor: Knowing Bo was my son has been very important to me.

Caroline: Well, not enough for you to care that what you asked him to do could destroy him.

Victor: I would have never involved him if I thought for one second --

Caroline: That he would get caught, huh? Doing your dirty work? Victor, you know I've never approved of the way you conduct business. But I just -- I learned to let it go. I just -- I turned a blind eye 'cause I knew that I could never influence you. You're your own man. And no one is gonna stand in your way, but this is our son. And when you force his hand to do your criminal bidding, that is where I draw the line. I'm not gonna let you drag him down with you, Victor. You understand that?

Pete: I'm sorry. There's a phone call for Mrs. Brady. It's Max.

Caroline: Oh, thank you. Thank you. I want you to be gone when I come back.

Philip: Maybe that was an oversimplification.

Chelsea: You know what, Philip? I really don't think it was. I think you're absolutely right. I think my dad made a horrible decision in wanting to protect you and you don't even seem to care.

Philip: Of course I care. Bo is my brother. I hate that he's in this kind of trouble, but it's not like I asked him to do it.

Chelsea: Regardless, Philip, he did do it for you. He's risking everything for you. Don't you think you should accept some of the responsibility here?

Philip: Chelsea, this is the last thing I wanted to see happen.

Chelsea: Okay, Philip, it did happen, though, because of you and your actions.

Philip: My actions. Wait a second here. I did not do anything wrong. What? You don't believe me?

Chelsea: Philip, I would love to believe you. But, look, we both know my grandfather, and he has a reputation for resorting to... old-school tactics when it comes to handling business.

Philip: Old-school tactics? You've been watching way too many movies, Chelse.

Chelsea: Oh, please, Philip. We all know that you're following in his footsteps. You're not above bending the law.

Philip: Bo knows I'm innocent. That's why he did what he did.

Chelsea: No, Philip, he did it because you're his family. God, I really thought that you were above this.

Philip: Above what? Emulating a brilliant businessman? Working my butt off to succeed? No, I will not apologize for that.

Chelsea: Yeah, it doesn't matter who you hurt, huh? Philip...do you think that I don't understand? I do, okay? My selfishness caused my Dad and Hope their son. And I have to live with that every day of my life.

Philip: This isn't the same.

Chelsea: Yes, it is, Philip. It is somebody's life. If you let my Dad go down for this, you're gonna have to live with that forever.

Roman: You two don't need me to tell you which way the wind is blowing on this thing. You withheld evidence. And all the good intentions in the world are not gonna change the fact you broke the law.

Bo: You think you can go to the block with what you've got?

Roman: I do know that Philip threatening Paul is not a lot to go on.

Bo: Okay, so give us a little more time. We'll give you what you want. We won't let you down. C-- would you bend the rules just this once?

Roman: Bo, this isn't bending the rules. This is breaking them again.

Bo: Give us enough time to find out what happened to Hollingsworth.

Hope: Roman, we are so close.

Roman: I don't like it.

Bo: Okay, fine. Might as well haul me off to jail. Let's go.

Hope: Bo, come on, don't.

Bo: If that's what he wants, let's get it done.

Roman: Bo! Bo...this is not what I want. Don't you think this is killing me, too? Don't you know I would do anything to help you if I could?

Bo: Well, you can.

Roman: After that, this goes in to evidence, then your fate with the Salem P.D. will be decided.

Bo: Thanks, bro. 48 hours to find Hollingsworth. Think we can do it?

Hope: Mm-hmm, I do.

Henderson: I'll bring the car around, sir.

Victor: Thank you, Henderson. Hope, you mind if I speak to Bo a minute alone?

Hope: I would.

Bo: Hope.

Trent: Where are you going?

Nicole: I'm going to powder my nose. Can you stand to be alone for two minutes?

Caroline: W-- h-huh? What? I'm sorry. I can't hear you. Oh. Well...everything is fine, Max. Enough about us. Well, how are you doing?

Max: Everything's fine, Ma. Nick came out here, actually. We're with him right now.

Caroline: Nick is in France with you? Why?

Max: Well, he has some friends spending some time in Paris. They're from school. And he thought he'd come out and visit us while he was out here.

Caroline: Oh, that's wonderful.

Max: Yeah. Yeah. Uh, Ma, can you do me a favor? Don't tell Trent about all of us being out here. It kind of makes it a little easier.

Caroline: Oh, sure. Of course. I won't. Well, you stay safe, darling. Give my best to Stephanie.

Max: Yeah. I will, definitely.

Caroline: I love you.

Max: I love you, too, Ma. I'll see you soon.

Max: So, buddy, what's going on?

Sebastian: Bail has been set at 10,000 Euros.

Stephanie: What?

Max: 10,000?

Stephanie: You can't be serious. Seb...isn't there something you can do?

Sebastian: Sorry. It's not up to me. And if you cannot find the money, you'll be separated and transferred to a lockup in the city. Again, I'm sorry, Stephanie.

Stephanie: What are we gonna do?

Nick: Wait, what's wrong?

Stephanie: They just set bail.

Max: 10,000 Euros.

Melanie: [Chuckling] Whoa! That's like $15,000. It's just you could chill for a month on the Riviera with that.

Nick: Do you think that this is funny?

Melanie: No, not even a little.

Nick: These are my friends, Melanie.

Melanie: Yeah, I understand that.

Nick: And you're the one who got them in here.

Melanie: Believe what you want.

Nick: What is your deal? You're just gonna let them stay here?

Max: You know what? That's it. If you're not gonna do it, I am.

Melanie: Do what?

Max: I'm calling Trent.

Melanie: No! No, no, no, no. You can't do that. Do you want me to lose my freedom?

Max: Are you kidding me? We're in jail, sweetheart. You don't get much less freedom than that.

Kate: I try to do the right thing, and everything...ends up spiraling out of control. And I think I end up making things worse. It's kind of a pattern with me.

Daniel: You are a good mother, Kate. And whatever you did...I'm sure you were only trying to, uh... protect the ones you love. Hey, come here. Come here.

Melanie: You cannot call my Father.

Max: Why not?

Melanie: Because he'll freak. That's why not.

Max: Who cares? He has money, and you don't. It's as simple as that.

Melanie: But he'll never trust me again when he figures out how all this happened.

Stephanie: Well, that's too bad because we're not going to the Marseille City Lockup.

Melanie: He'll throw me in a convent. My life will be over.

Max: [Laughs] So find the money to bail us out.

Melanie: I don't have it.

Max: Call a friend. The crowd you run with seems to be loaded from top to bottom.

Melanie: My reputation will be ruined.

Stephanie: We're in jail for something you did and all you're worried about is your reputation?

Melanie: Yeah, my friends will never let me live this down.

Max: And neither will our Father. So which is it gonna be?

Victor: I want to apologize, Bo. I shouldn't have asked you to protect Philip. I was ill, obviously, not thinking clearly. Well, never mind. It's no excuse. If I had it to do over again --

Bo: Well, you don't.

Victor: If there's anything I can do, if I can help in any way...

Bo: Thanks. I'll let you know.

Victor: Oh, uh...I told your mother what we had to do to protect Philip. I didn't tell her what was on the tape, but, uh, she knows all the rest.

Bo: Okay.

Hope: What was that all about?

Bo: Eh, just making himself feel better.

Hope: I'm sorry.

Bo: Should be used to it by now.

Hope: What's our next move?

Bo: Smoke out the truth. Find out if Hollingsworth is dead or alive.

Hope: What if he is dead?

Bo: Then we know who killed him.

Hope: You really believe John's desperate enough to commit murder just to ruin Philip's life?

[Cellphone rings]

Bo: Brady.

Philip: Bo, it's Philip.

Bo: Hey, man. What's up?

Philip: You busy?

Bo: No.

Philip: We need to talk. You know, this mess we're in, it's gone too far.

Bo: Okay, I'm at the pub.

Philip: You and Hope risking your careers just to protect me -- it's not right. I want you to know that I'm not gonna let you take the fall for this. That just cannot happen.

Hope: Where's Philip anyway? Didn't he say he was on his way?

Bo: I wonder what he had in mind?

Morgan: You saved my life. I thought you cared about me.

Philip: I do care.

Morgan: But then I find out that you threatened to kill my father.

Marlena: You are not the man that I married. The truth is, we barely even know each other.
