Kayla: Hi. Hey. How are you? What a surprise.
Caroline: I hope you don't mind my just dropping in like this.
Kayla: No, of course not.
Caroline: Well, I was in the neighborhood, and I had a little thing for Joe, and I wanted to know how the baby's first night went home with Mommy and Daddy.
Kayla: You know, it was -- it was fine. He slept great. In fact, he pretty much slept through everything.
Caroline: Well, wonderful. See? I told you not to worry.
Kayla: I keep trying to tell myself that.
Caroline: I could not resist this.
Kayla: Would you stop? You have given him so much already.
Caroline: Well, that's my job. As a grandmother, I have to spoil him.
Kayla: Mm. He is one lucky boy. Cute.
Caroline: So, where is the proud papa?
Kayla: He went out.
Caroline: Well, good. Well, then, uh... we can have a talk.
Kayla: Wow. That sounds kind of serious.
Caroline: I'm concerned about your brother, Kayla. There's something strange going on with Bo. I'm very worried about him.
Bo: Hey, what's up, man, as if I didn't know.
Steve: We got to talk, buddy. Let's go grab a beer.
Bo: It's 11:00 A.M.
Steve: Yeah, and?
Bo: And I had too much to drink last night. I shouldn't have run my mouth.
Steve: Listen, Bo --
Bo: I can't go anyplace. Hope isn't home. She's shopping. And Ciara's upstairs.
Steve: Hope's out? That's even better. We can talk right here.
Bo: No. There's nothing to talk about. I shouldn't have involved you in this.
Steve: Listen, man, I'm your best friend, and you told me what you told me because it was eating you up.
Bo: Yeah. Yeah, for good reason.
Steve: I've been thinking a lot about it. I'm here to tell you you did the right thing.
Bo: Oh, yeah?
Steve: Yeah. Your old man's laying there. He can't take much more. And I think Philip is innocent, so you're saving two lives.
Bo: I'm not so sure that Philip's innocent. There's a good possibility he killed a man.
Steve: Have they found the body?
Bo: It's only a matter of time.
Steve: Oh, come on, Bo. Philip may be guilty of a lot of things, but murder?
Bo: Well, we also have that small matter of me destroying evidence. I could lose my badge. I could lose everything, including Hope.
Steve: You're really not gonna tell her, huh?
Bo: I can't te-- don't -- don't you get that? She's a cop. There's no way I can involve her in this.
Steve: She's smart, Bo, and she knows you. How long do you think it's gonna be before she figures it out?
Kate: Still don't have an appetite? It doesn't look like you slept much last night, either.
Philip: Can you blame me?
Kate: Well, you know, I'm not getting much sleep myself with one son in prison and the other one almost headed that way if his father and I didn't intervene.
Philip: Bo's the one who put his neck out on the line. He's a cop. He had the evidence. He heard my voice on that recorder.
Kate: You know, we talked about this. Bo did what he had to do for his family -- for his brother, for his father -- to protect you.
Philip: From being wrongly accused. But now he actually thinks I might have killed Hollingsworth.
Kate: Well, he may not be the only one.
Ava: Mm. Last night was incredible. [Chuckles] This morning wasn't so bad, either. But don't you worry. I'm gonna get out of your hair after breakfast. I got some things I need to do. [Chuckles] Wow. Would you look at us? We're like an old married couple already. And you don't even look up. We are a married couple. What is so interesting in that paper that you're reading? [Doorbell rings]
John: Article on Paul Hollingsworth. They found his jacket in the river. The police are dragging it and hope to find his body.
John: Too bad it's a waste of time.
Dr. Rolf: I am sorry, sir.
Marlena: John, how do you know that? How do you know that it's a waste of time?
John: You just can't get enough of this place, can you, Blondie?
Dr. Rolf: I apologize, Sir. As usual, she just stormed right in.
John: It's okay, Rolf. So, are you here in the service of the Salem P.D., or is this personal?
Marlena: Forgive me, John. I didn't mean to intrude on your...private time. Why, if I had known you were entertaining --
Dr. Rolf: I tried to tell you he was...indisposed.
John: You know you're always welcome here. I mean, after all, you are my wife.
Marlena: Really? Because you don't act like it.
John: And you never acted like it.
Marlena: I've given you the reasons for that.
Ava: Okay, you know, it looks like the two of you have some things you need to sort out. I'm gonna go on upstairs and --
John: No, don't leave on our account. Blondie and I have said everything we need to say to each other.
Ava: All the same, I've got someplace that I need to be.
E.J.: Okay, not so fast. Did you have a pillow fight? Listen, you and I need to have a chat if we're gonna keep you out of prison, young lady.
Steve: So, Hope's already got her suspicions. She knows something's off.
Bo: Yeah, yeah. She keeps asking me what's wrong. I can't answer her. She gets upset. You know...we made a pact not to keep secrets from each other about anything.
Steve: That all sounds familiar.
Bo: Yeah. But I've got no choice. I can't let her get involved in this.
Steve: I hear you, man. But tell me something -- you don't really believe that Philip killed that dude, do you?
Bo: I don't know. I-I hope not.
Steve: But when you gave that recording to Victor, you believed in your gut that Philip was innocent, right? No evidence has come up to prove otherwise?
Bo: Not really. But the thing is, Abe and Roman -- hell, the whole department's going gang busters on this. They've already turned up Paul's jacket in the river. Who knows what else they'll find?
Steve: Maybe that's where I can help. I'll see what I can dig up on Hollingsworth.
Bo: What's that gonna do?
Steve: Well, won't it put your mind at ease if we can prove that Philip is innocent?
Bo: I'll never feel good about this, especially having to lie to Hope.
Steve: I understand why you want to protect Hope, but these secrets, man, they have a way of coming back and biting you. Believe me, I know.
Bo: You know what? I don't -- I don't see how I could go through with this surprise I planned for Hope.
Steve: Oh, come on, dude. Don't go crazy.
Bo: I feel like a hypocrite. I would be a hypocrite. What if she found out the truth?
Steve: Come on, man.
Bo: No. No. I got to call it off.
Kayla: You're worried about Bo? So am I.
Caroline: You are? Do you know anything?
Kayla: Well, not really. But Marlena was here the other day. She said that she ran into him at the station, and he was acting strangely. She asked him about it. He played if off as some sort of thing about working on a case or something, but she didn't buy it.
Caroline: Well, then it's not just my imagination or Hope's or Chelsea's... or Victor and Daniel's.
Kayla: Victor and Daniel? What do they have to do with it? I thought Victor was so ill.
Caroline: Exactly. Daniel told me...that Victor's heart-rate monitor had a very severe reaction when Bo visited and when Philip visited.
Kayla: Well, that's strange.
Caroline: It was so bad that Daniel doesn't allow any visitors.
Kayla: Including you?
Caroline: Yes. I'm really sorry about it because...I think Victor should have his family around him.
Kayla: I can't imagine what Bo and Philip are doing that would be so upsetting.
Caroline: No, neither can I. But I know there's some kind of -- something strange between Victor and Bo.
Kayla: Strange how?
Caroline: He -- you know, I can't explain it. But there's some kind of tension...and it's not Victor's stroke. It's -- it's something else.
Kayla: You know, Mom, they've always had a tense relationship. I-it's so fragile.
Caroline: Yeah, I told myself that. And then Victor said something that was so odd.
Caroline: He -- he struggled to say the words "tell Bo that I said thank you."
Kayla: Thank you for what?
Caroline: I don't know. He was much too stressed, so I didn't push it.
Kayla: Well, did you ask Bo?
Caroline: Yes. He said that he's just worried about losing another father.
Kayla: But you don't believe him.
Caroline: I-I don't. I think it has something to do with this Hollingsworth case. It involves the shipping battle between John and Philip.
Caroline: [Sighs] I was there when Bo got the phone call that they found Paul's jacket in the river, and Bo was really disturbed.
Kayla: And what about Hope? What does she say about all this?
Caroline: Hope is sure that it's about Paul.
Kayla: Something he won't tell her.
Caroline: I talked to Hope for hours last night on the phone. She's so upset he won't talk to her. And he says he has theories about the case and what happened that he can't share with her.
Kayla: Aren't they working on the same case together?
Caroline: Yes, they are. Kayla... Hope is sure that Bo's in trouble, and so am I.
Kayla: Well, then, what the heck could it be?
Caroline: I don't know. Maybe Steve might know because if Bo was gonna confide in anybody, it would be Steve.
Kayla: To tell you the truth, I thought the same thing, so I sent Steve over to talk to him last night.
Caroline: Did Bo tell him anything?
Kayla: Well, Steve hasn't said anything, but, to tell you the truth, we haven't really had a chance to talk.
Caroline: What do you mean?
Kayla: Well, you know, we've been a little preoccupied lately.
Caroline: Oh, of course. The baby.
Kayla: And, unfortunately, Ava Vitali.
Caroline: Ava?! Is that woman causing trouble again?
Kayla: Well, not really. It's just I kind of lost it when I thought she was gonna move into Sami's old apartment across the hall.
Caroline: What?! Oh, I don't blame you.
Kayla: I guess I have some unresolved feelings about the whole situation. You know, I just wish at Steve would have told me about it to begin with, you know? I don't know. You know, maybe I'm just being hormonal or something.
Caroline: Oh, darling, no. No. You're very stress. You're caring about Joe, and you're worried about him.
Kayla: Yeah. Morning and night. And Stephanie and now Bo.
Caroline: You don't have to worry about Stephanie. She's with Max.
Kayla: I know. And I'm so happy that she's with him on his search for his sister, but I really wish she was right here. You know?
Kayla: And Steve and I will work things out. And I pray my brother comes to his senses.
Caroline: [Sighs] You and me both. Bo should know more than anybody what can happen if you keep secrets in a marriage.
Philip: Thanks, Mom. Just what I needed to hear.
Kate: Would you just relax?
Philip: Relax? How can I relax?
Kate: The recording is destroyed. And now there is no way that you can be linked to Paul's disappearance.
Philip: Now? Oh, my God, I can't believe my mom thinks I did this. What happened to believing in my innocence?
Kate: I do believe in you.
Philip: Well, you did until they found Paul's coat in the river.
Kate: Philip, I'm not judging you.
Philip: Yeah, you are.
Kate: No, I'm not. I believe that you did whatever you thought was necessary.
Philip: But I didn't do anything! You know, Bo needs to know that more than anybody 'cause if he goes down for this, for protecting me...
Kate: Look, there's no more evidence. It's gone. So there's no way that anyone can find out anything.
Henderson: Excuse me, sir.
Philip: What is it, Henderson?
Henderson: I found this on the front doorstep.
Kayla: What do you think that secret could be? I mean, what could Bo know about Paul that he doesn't want Hope to know about?
Caroline: I-I haven't a clue, but it's tearing him apart and Hope, too. And I just -- I just wish I could do something to help.
Kayla: Same here.
Steve: Whoa, look who's here! If it isn't my favorite mother-in-law.
Caroline: Hey, Steve.
Steve: Mama chowder.
Steve: Hi, baby.
Steve: Hey, uh -- oh. Am I interrupting something?
Kayla: No, um, Mom just came by to see the baby.
Steve: Yeah? Isn't he something?
Caroline: Oh, what an adorable little boy.
Kayla: You know, she also came by because she's concerned about Bo.
Steve: Yeah? Really? Why?
Caroline: Well, Kayla told me that you met him last night. Did he tell you anything?
Steve: Nothing you need to be concerned about.
Kayla: Are you sure?
Steve: I just saw him this morning.
Kayla: You saw him this morning after just seeing him last night?
Steve: Yeah, is that a problem?
Kayla: Well, it's just kind of unusual.
Caroline: Well, Steve, how did Bo seem to you?
Steve: He seemed all right. He was just hanging around the house, watching Ciara for Hope.
Kayla: Well, did he say anything to you?
Steve: About what?
Caroline: About what's going on with him.
Kayla: My Mom has the same feeling that I do, that there is something up with Bo.
Caroline: I hoped that he would confide in you. Steve, I'm really worried.
Steve: I don't think either one of you has anything to worry about.
Kayla: It's not just us. I mean, Hope's worried, too. She thinks that he's keeping a secret. And we both know how bad secrets are.
Caroline: Well, listen, dears. I-I better be going. I have to talk to Bo.
Kayla: You know, I think I'm gonna go with you.
Caroline: Oh, no, dear.
Kayla: No. No. I'd like to talk to him. I would.
Caroline: Well, maybe you'll have better luck than I have.
Kayla: Maybe we can get some real answers.
Kayla: Oh, you'll watch the baby, right? I'll be back.
Steve: Of course.
Philip: Did you happen to see who dropped this off?
Henderson: No, I'm sorry, sir.
Philip: All right, Henderson. Thank you.
Kate: What is it? Who's it from? "I know your secret"?
Ava: I'm already on that, E.J. I'm going to see somebody who might be able to help me.
E.J.: Okay. Who would that be?
Ava: Uh, maybe we should talk about that later. Dr. Evans here works for the other side.
E.J.: Of course.
Ava: Thank you for last night... [Chuckles] ...And this morning.
E.J.: Well, don't mind me. I have plenty of work to do.
John: You were saying?
Marlena: Seems like you and Ava have gotten mighty friendly.
John: Well, it's nice to be with someone who appreciates me for who I am, isn't constantly trying to change me into someone who doesn't exist anymore and who never will.
Marlena: Has it occurred to you that this is infidelity?
John: Well, I suppose you have grounds for divorce then.
Marlena: Shall I do that? Is that what you want?
John: Perhaps that's best all the way around. Because I can't give you what you want, either.
Marlena: You know what's so sad? You just never even tried.
Dr. Rolf: [Sighs]
Marlena: Rolf, I've got to talk to you.
Dr. Rolf: I'm busy, Marlena.
Marlena: Oh, I don't care, Rolf.
Dr. Rolf: Yeah, well, he does, and John is quite demanding.
Marlena: John isn't demanding. It's that cold-blooded robot that lives inside of him that's demanding.
Dr. Rolf: Ah, well, have it your way.
Marlena: I will.
Dr. Rolf: [Scoffs] Is it about that disk again?
Marlena: It is. Rolf, I've spoken to Roman. We're trying to grant you immunity. All you've got to do is deal with the ISA, put the disk back together, repair it, and then read what's on it.
Dr. Rolf: I've already told you. There is nothing I can do.
Marlena: Look, I know you're scared, but just think about it. If John gets his memory back, you are so going to jail anyway. Now, if I can offer you some protection --
Dr. Rolf: You cannot offer me protection against him. No, if John were to ever find out that I was working behind his back --
Marlena: No, no, Rolf. He won't. I'll make sure that he won't. Listen, the problem is that we're losing John now. There'll become a point where we just can't get him back at all.
Dr. Rolf: I wouldn't say that. You've always been able to get through to him on some level.
Marlena: I can't do that anymore. It isn't working. Rolf, I'm losing him because the truth is...he's falling in love with somebody else.
E.J.: It sounds like you're gonna be needing a divorce lawyer, as well.
John: She's better off without me. She needs to move on with her own life.
E.J.: Well, you've certainly managed to do that.
John: I didn't really have much of a choice, did I?
E.J.: Well, let's be honest. Even if you did... would you have taken it? You seem to like who you are. Why would you go back?
John: I can't even imagine being that guy -- or who they say he was. It hurts my head to try.
E.J.: Hmm. Well...in my experience, I think it's rather important to be true to yourself. Take it from somebody who learned the hard way. It doesn't pay to pretend to be somebody you're not.
John: It's not that easy, Elvis John.
E.J.: Uh, what's not that easy?
John: Jumping ships from the Brady's to the DiMera's. You still need to prove your loyalty.
E.J.: We already had that conversation, remember -- the part about me being ready, willing, able.
John: You sound sure about that.
E.J.: It's because I am sure. I'd like my life back. Thank you. And if working...for you is gonna help me get it, then that's what I'm gonna do.
John: Well, we'll see about that.
E.J.: Yes, we will. [Doorbell rings]
John: Are you expecting someone?
Dr. Rolf: Judge Karen Fitzpatrick, sir.
Karen: Thank you. Hello, E.J. John, I had to come by and thank you again for your incredibly generous donation.
John: Think nothing of it, Karen.
Karen: I wanted you both to know how much I appreciate it.
E.J.: Oh, absolutely. Well, I know that we're always very happy to, uh, support a good cause. Actually, speaking of good causes, it's rather fortuitous you dropping by. There's something I wanted to talk to you about.
Karen: Sure. What?
E.J.: It involves Ava Vitali.
Ava: Oh, Mar-- Marlena. Hi. Um, I just wanted to say I'm sorry if it hurts you that John and I --
Marlena: You and John are free to do whatever you like. I've told the police and the D.A. I can't be involved in your case. But I should tell you, I'm gonna fight for my husband.
Ava: Weren't you divorcing him?
Marlena: I'm going to fight for him, if not for myself, then for his own sake.
Ava: Well, that's very noble of you, but when are you going to accept that your husband doesn't exist anymore? John Black doesn't exist anymore.
Marlena: I'm not going to accept that. I don't believe that. You see, the man that you slept with last night, that wasn't my husband. But my husband is still in there somewhere.
Ava: Yeah, well, he was --
Marlena: And he would hate who he's become. And given the chance, he would fight like hell to get out.
Ava: Oh, I don't think so.
Marlena: Really? Well, you don't know a damn thing about him.
Ava: Well, I could say the same thing about you.
Marlena: Enjoy it while it lasts, Ava. It won't be long. And when the real John comes back, he will be through with you.
Bo: Hey, you guys.
Bo: If you're here to see Hope, um, she's not home.
Kayla: No, actually. We came by to talk to you.
Bo: Where's big Joe?
Kayla: He's home with his papa. I heard you had a nice visit with Steve earlier.
Bo: He told you about that, did he?
Kayla: Well, we try not to have too many secrets with each other.
Bo: What's on your mind?
Caroline: You know, I'll let you two talk, and I'm gonna go up and say hello to Ciara.
Bo: Yeah, she's in her bedroom, playing with her dolls. All right, sis. What's this about?
Kayla: I know that there's something upsetting you, something at work.
Bo: Kay, come on.
Kayla: No, no, no, listen. I'm not even gonna ask you what it is. I don't care. But I don't like to see you suffer. And I'm not the only one.
Bo: There's nothing -- as I've told Hope and Ma and everyone else who asks, I'm fine, okay? There is something you should know. It's about the little surprise I had planned for Hope.
Kayla: "Had planned"?
Bo: Yeah. I changed my mind. I'm calling it off. The timing is just not good.
Kayla: Bo, come on. Are you kidding? What's more important than your wife and your marriage?
Bo: Nothing's more important.
Kayla: Then you know if you believe in your partner, the strength that you guys have together will get you through anything.
Bo: You're right. It will.
Kayla: Yeah. Maybe I need to listen to my own advice. I think I'm gonna go home.
Kayla: Will you tell Mom I had to run?
Bo: Yeah, sure.
Kayla: You listen to me. Don't cancel that surprise. And one more thing.
Kayla: Tell Hope. You know she's gonna understand.
[Door opens, closes]
Caroline: It's true, Bo. And the same goes for your mother.
Ava: Hey. Don't -- don't worry. I haven't changed my mind about taking Sami's apartment. Um, I was just hoping we could talk -- you, Kayla, and me.
Steve: Kayla isn't here right now. Whatever you have to say, it's best you just say it to me.
Ava: Okay. May I come in?
Steve: Make it quick.
Ava: Look, I know I've said it before, but I truly -- I am so sorry about all the trouble I caused you, that I caused your whole family.
Steve: Is that what this is? You're here to apologize again?
Ava: No, I'm not, okay? I came here, though, to reassure you if there was any doubt in your mind that I am a different person now that I'm not on those drugs.
Ava: Yeah. And as much as I did love you once... I'm finally moving on with my life.
Steve: Huh. With a married man. Congratulations.
Ava: Yeah, well, we're a couple of misfits, aren't we? But I got to tell you that for the first time in a long time, I'm looking towards the future. And that's why I came here today. I need to ask you a favor.
Steve: A favor?
Ava: I know I've got no right to ask you anything. But here's the deal, all right? My trial is coming up. It might be in Ireland, and it's not looking good.
Steve: What do you want me to do, Ava?
Ava: I was hoping that you may consider testifying on my behalf.
Karen: Ava Vitali?
E.J.: Yes, as I'm sure you're not entirely unaware, I am representing Ms. Vitali in her upcoming trial.
Karen: Well, yes, I've been following the case. It's very high-profile. But, uh, I don't know what I could do to help you. It seems that she's going to be forced to go to trial in Ireland.
E.J.: Well, uh, that is rather, uh, my point. I'm going to be petitioning to stop the extradition. I would like to have the trial moved back here to the United States. That doesn't seem too unreasonable, I would hope, given that she is a U.S. Citizen. Would you not agree?
Karen: Oh, I don't think it's unreasonable at all.
E.J.: Excellent! See, John, I told you. Well, that's wonderful. We wanted to ask your opinion, obviously, as somebody that we both respect a great deal and as somebody that we would like to consider a friend. In fact, somebody we'd like to consider a close friend.
Karen: Of course. I consider both you and John very close friends.
Kate: Who the hell wrote this? And what do they know about you?
Bo: You threatened to kill Paul Hollingsworth.
Philip: That's ridiculous. Who the hell told you that?
Bo: You did. The package that he sent to his daughter contained a recording of a conversation between the two of you.
Philip: What conversation?
Bo: The one where you threatened to kill him if he didn't do what you told him to.
Philip: A threat isn't a confession or proof of anything.
Bo: It sure raises a lot of questions.
Philip: Someone is obviously trying to get to me, and I do not like it.
Kate: Who do you think is doing it?
Philip: Who else? John Black. And I'm gonna put a stop to it right now.
E.J.: Well, that went rather well, don't you think?
John: You really think that judge is gonna be able to help Ava?
E.J.: It think it's certainly not gonna hurt that we have her in our pocket.
John: By bribing her.
E.J.: Uh, you could say that. Let's just call it a gesture of goodwill, a tactic, as I recall, you're not entirely above yourself. Speaking of which, having, uh, Judge Fitzpatrick as a friend with your trial coming up is not going to do us any harm at all.
John: I'm not really worried about it.
E.J.: Aren't you? Well, maybe you should be. I mean, speaking as your lawyer, there are some particularly challenging new evidence that has come to light.
John: Such as?
E.J.: John, the cornerstone of our defense is your assertion that Mr. Hollingsworth planted some drugs and that Mr. Hollingsworth set fire to your warehouse. [Doorbell rings] And now Mr. Hollingsworth appears to have met with a most unfortunate accident.
John: Are you asking me if I had a hand in it?
Dr. Rolf: Excuse me, sir. It's been quite a busy morning.
John: What is it, Rolf?
Dr. Rolf: Ms. Morgan Hollingsworth is here to see you, sir?
John: And what does she want?
Morgan: I want to know what you did with my father.
Steve: I'm gonna tell the truth about the plane crash and everything else I know. I won't lie for you.
Ava: I am not asking you to. But there is a truth that you can testify to. You can testify to the fact that I was a different person before the drugs that daddy gave me messed with my head. Come on, you knew me. You knew me back then. We were wild, we were crazy together, but you know that I was not capable of doing those things that happened.
Steve: Yeah, okay. So?
Ava: So, I'm asking you if you will help me.
Steve: I'm confused here. I thought you felt responsible. I thought you wanted to pay for what you did.
Ava: Okay, I did. But I am not responsible for what happened, and John made me see that. I am always gonna feel terrible for what happened, all right? But it's not gonna bring anyone back. I mean, if it could -- do I really deserve to rot in a prison for the rest of my life?
Steve: Shawn Brady wasn't anyone. Okay, Ava. I'll tell them what I know about the person you were before, about the peon you became. That's all I'm gonna do.
Ava: That's all I'm asking. Thank you.
Ava: Okay, um, I'm on my way. Don't worry. I'm not bothering you guys again.
Kayla: What was that? [Door closes]
Steve: She was here to ask if I would testify on her behalf.
Kayla: What did you tell her?
Steve: I told her I wouldn't lie for her. I'd tell the truth, and that's it.
Kayla: How's our baby boy?
Steve: He's still sawing logs.
Kayla: Well, that's good.
Steve: Sweetness, listen.
Kayla: You know what? I trust you. I have always trusted you.
Steve: I've made so many mistakes.
Kayla: We've all made mistakes. Let's just hope we've learned from them.
Bo: So, how's my little angel doing?
Caroline: Oh, she's fine. She's playing with her dolls.
Bo: What about Victor? Did you stop by the hospital today?
Caroline: Daniel said no visitors, remember?
Caroline: After your visit and Philip's. Yeah, his blood pressure just went though the roof.
Bo: Yeah, I think the doc has it in for me 'cause I don't like him dating my daughter.
Caroline: Oh, please. Daniel's concerned about Victor and about you. So am I, so is Chelsea, and so is, most importantly, your wife, Hope.
Bo: Mom, there's nothing to be concerned about.
Caroline: Oh, Bo, please. I know you too well. There's something bothering you, and it's serious.
Bo: It's work. That's all I can say. It's just this case. It's a lot of pressure.
Caroline: Well, then, if it's work related, why don't you talk to Hope? It's killing her that you don't.
Bo: Well, I'm sorry about that, but it can't be helped.
Caroline: Bo, please. Don't keep secrets from Hope again! You know what happened the last time!
Bo: It's not the same thing.
Caroline: So, uh, what about the surprise?
Bo: It's going on as planned. That's what everybody wants, so nothing to worry about.
E.J.: Okay, Morgan, I understand you're a little bit upset at this latest piece of news, but that doesn't mean that John had anything to do with it.
Morgan: That's exactly what it means! I always knew he had a hand in my father's disappearance, but now I know he killed him. You killed my father in cold blood, and you dumped him in the river. Admit it, John. Admit it before I kill you myself.
Eddie: Is there a problem here, Mr. Black?
Dr. Rolf: Mr. Edward Vitali for Ava.
John: Not a good time. And Ava isn't here.
Eddie: Oh, she's on the way. She wanted me present when she met with her attorney.
E.J.: Right. Yes. Sorry. Thank you.
Eddie: We have some things we need to discuss.
Morgan: Of course you do.
Eddie: Excuse me?
Morgan: What is he, one of your low lives, one of your thugs you hired to kill my father?
E.J.: That's about enough from you.
John: I think it's time for you to leave, Morgan.
Morgan: Or what, you're gonna have me taken out, like you did my daddy, huh? 'Cause I'm not afraid of you or him.
Eddie: I think the gentleman said it's time to leave, ma'am.
Morgan: I'm not going anywhere. I came for answers. And just so we're all clear, I'm not leaving until I get them. I am staying no matter what it takes.
Kate: [Sighs] If John or anyone else threatens my son, it's gonna be the last thing they do.
John: I understand that you're upset. Your father's jacket was found in the river. By nature, you would be thinking the worst.
E.J.: Look, Morgan, that you would think that John had anything to do --
Morgan: Oh, I don't think. I know. And now you're gonna pay.
John: I didn't hurt your father, Morgan. You have my word.
Morgan: Oh, your word? That's worth a lot. See, you're nothing but a freaking walking robot with no feelings or conscience.
E.J.: Okay, that's enough.
Morgan: You used my father, and then you got rid of him. What, was he gonna go to the cops? Is that what, John? Is that why you had him taken out?
John: Paul had many enemies.
Morgan: But none like you, huh? [Doorbell rings] What did you do with my father? Where is he? Answer me, John! Where is he?!
Philip: Morgan! Morgan!
John: Take her home, Philip.
Philip: Come on.
Morgan: No, I am not going anywhere until I got the answers that I came here for. Aah! Philip! [Gunshot] Oh, my God, no!
Paramedics: Ma'am, ma'am, ma'am, please. We're trying to stabilize him.
Daniel: You were doing exactly what I told you not to do.
Chelsea: Look, if there's something going on between my Dad and my grandfather, I just think --
Daniel: No, if there is, it's none of your business.
