Lucas: Nicole, obviously you have something to tell me, so just tell me what it is. I have no time for your games.
Nicole: Would you just shut up for a second? This is important, Lucas. Oh.
Caroline: The place looks pretty spiffy, huh, Ciara?
Ciara: Yes, Grandma
Caroline: We're making it Eco-friendly, and soon you will know exactly what that means. [Glass breaks] Oh! Max, are you okay?
Max: Yeah, I'm fine. I'm sorry. I'll...clean it up.
Stephanie: Come on.
Stephanie: What took you so long? I've been texting you like 40 times.
Nick: My battery died. What's going on? Where's Max?
Chelsea: Hey, I'm sorry I'm late.
Caroline: Oh, that's -- no.
Chelsea: Am I late?
Caroline: No, darling, not at all.
Chelsea: Hey, how are you?
Chelsea: Where's Dad and Hope?
Caroline: They should be here any minute.
Chelsea: Well, I guess I didn't need to sprint over here, then, huh?
Chelsea: Hey, guys.
Stephanie: Hey, Chelse.
Chelsea: Uh, Stephanie, can I talk to Nick alone for a second?
Stephanie: Of course.
Nick: [Clears throat]
Chelsea: [Exhales deeply] So...
Nick: This is gonna be awkward because -- we don't have to do this.
Chelsea: No. There's just, um, there's just a couple of things I want to get out in the open, if that's okay.
Nick: [Exhales deeply] Knock yourself out.
Chelsea: Um, I wanted to apologize to you. Things got crazy, and, um... I never meant to hurt you.
Chelsea: I know how this is gonna sound, but, um... I thought that I was in love with somebody else. Well, if I'm -- if I'm being honest...
Chelsea: ...I was in love with somebody else, but, um, that didn't work out.
John: What do you mean, I can't access my own warehouse? Who ordered that?
Rusty: It's a federal issue now, Mr. Black. Your shipments have been impounded.
John: "Federal issue"?
Rusty: Property of the U.S. Government. If I hear anything else, I'll be sure to let you know.
John: Son of a bitch.
John: What? You're gonna pretend like you don't know? You cops are all the same.
Hope: Get the good guys and the bad guys straight, John.
John: Let's just cut to the chase. What do you want? I've already been arrested and charged.
Hope: And we're gonna build a strong enough case to convict you.
John: You want to build a case, you build it against Philip Kiriakis. The little bastard set me up.
Bo: You think Philip planted the cocaine on your ship?
John: Detective...how stupid would I have to be to smuggle dope into the port of Salem on my own ship?
Bo: Well, the more you talk about being set up... the less innocent you sound.
John: That's because you want me to be guilty. Protecting your own, right? Don't want your beloved half brother to go down for this.
Bo: I'm not protecting anybody. I'm only concerned about justice.
John: You want justice? Then you go after the Kiriakis', because those bastards framed me.
Bo: Where you headed?
John: To do a little investigating of my own.
Hope: Think he's telling the truth?
Bo: Hard to tell. [Sighs] Damn it. I hope Victor's not back into dealing drugs.
Chelsea: I was -- I was in love with Daniel.
Nick: Oh. I think I figured that out. What do you want, Chelsea?
Chelsea: I want to tell you that I messed up -- I made a mistake.
Chelsea: I... I trashed a really good relationship, and I ended up with nothing. I'm stupid, and... I hurt you, and, uh, that was something that I never wanted to do.
Nick: I know that.
Chelsea: Do you?
Nick: Okay. Um, while we're being honest, there's something... I want you to know, too. I'm still in love with you.
Chelsea: You're [Chuckles] You're a really special guy, Nick.
Nick: You're pretty special yourself.
Chelsea: So, what do you think? Do you think it's possible that we could stay friends, because I would like that? I really, really would.
E.J.: Put that away.
Nicole: Or what?
E.J.: Or it won't be the only thing I break into a million pieces.
Nicole: Ooh. You are cute when you're frustrated.
E.J.: You don't know me very well, do you?
Nicole: Fine. I'll put it away. See? Now do you trust me?
E.J.: No, Nicole. I do not trust you.
Dr. Rolf: How may I be of assistance, sir?
Lucas: Do me a favor. If Nicole calls me again, take a message. I don't want to talk to her.
Dr. Rolf: Understood.
Lucas: The woman is insane.
Dr. Rolf: This is hardly breaking news, Mr. Lucas.
Lucas: You know what she did? I mean, she's a real lunatic. She just called me up and told me she had something important to tell me, and then she just hung up.
Dr. Rolf: Well, this doesn't surprise me, sir. Fraulein Nicole has always been one schnitzel short of a picnic basket. [Doorbell rings] Hmm. Allow me.
Lucas: Thanks. Appreciate it. All right. Wait a minute. Why don't we search "ankle monitors," Lucas? That's what you have.
Dr. Rolf: It's Miss Lane to see you, sir. She said you were expecting her.
Lucas: Uh, actually, no, I wasn't.
Chloe: I hope you don't mind me dropping in like this.
Lucas: Why are you here?
Chloe: Because I'm worried about you.
Lucas: You're worried about me? Yeah, right. You should worry about yourself. So, you think I could do something for you? Fine. What is it?
Chloe: I didn't take you for a cynic, Lucas.
Lucas: I don't have a choice when it comes to you, Chloe, do I, after what you did to Brady?
Chloe: [Sighs] I am so sick of hearing that from everyone. Okay, one more time. I didn't make Brady a drug addict. He did it to himself. Philip doesn't blame me, and I was hoping that you wouldn't, either, especially considering your history.
Lucas: Because I'm an alcoholic? I'm sober, all right? I'm sober, and it's gonna stay that way.
Chloe: Is that supposed to impress me?
Lucas: I don't care what impresses you. Just telling you how it is.
Chloe: It isn't easy, is it?
Lucas: No, it's not. There's always temptation.
Chloe: Even now?
Lucas: Especially now. I'm here. I'm in this mansion. I got to deal with Sami and E.J. going at it. So, yeah, I guess I know a thing or two. I know what it's like to have wife troubles. I know what it's like when that forces you into drug dependence.
Chloe: If you had a brain in your head, you'd understand that women are driven even crazier by men. In fact, in my experience, it's usually the men in relationships who behave despicably.
Lucas: Yeah, you're right, especially when it's the women who drive them to do it.
Chloe: How did you even know about me and Brady?
Lucas: I was in jail. I wasn't on Mars.
Chloe: You know, I didn't come here to be judged or insulted. I was just trying to do a nice thing.
Lucas: Are you sure about that, Chloe?
Steve: Sweetness, are you all right?
Kayla: Yeah. I'm just a little anxious. Every time I come here to see Joe, I just -- I just want to take him home with us, you know? I just want to go to bed at night and know that he's right there by our side, you know?
Steve: I know.
Kayla: I want to keep him in our room for a little while, okay? I know we have that baby-monitor thing, but I just --
Steve: Shh! It's okay. It's okay.
Kayla: I'm sorry.
Steve: We'll keep him in our room with us as long as you want to, okay?
Steve: All right.
Kate: When he cries, I just don't want him to have to wait, you know?
Steve: Yeah. There's Maxine.
Kayla: Oh, Maxine. Hi. We were just gonna go see Joe.
Maxine: Before you do, I have some news.
Nick: You want to be friends?
Chelsea: Yeah. I miss you. I miss hanging out together.
Nick: Well, would you be here right now if things with you and Daniel had worked out?
Chelsea: Nick, all I'm trying to say is that you're one of the best people I know, and I just really want you in my life, still. I need you.
Nick: It's because the other option didn't work out.
Chelsea: That's not fair, and that's not why I'm here.
Chelsea: No. Look, I meant everything that I said. I really want us to be friends.
Nick: [Sighs] As far as being friends goes, Chelsea... I can't do that.
Chelsea: You're not even gonna try?
Nick: I'm moving on. You should, too.
Stephanie: Everything okay?
Nick: Yeah, everything's fine. You don't know what's going on with him?
Stephanie: No. He's just so wound up.
Caroline: Max, take a break. You've been at it all day long.
Max: Ma, if I don't do it, no one will, okay? I'll be fine.
Nick: Yeah. Still don't know what's going on with him.
Stephanie: Whatever it is that he's keeping inside, it's just making me worry.
E.J.: So, what exactly is it that you want?
Nicole: Nothing much, really.
E.J.: Well, what exactly will it take to keep you quiet?
Nicole: Well, there is this one thing...but I can't guarantee I'll be quiet.
E.J.: Is that all you ever think about?
Nicole: No. No. I-I think about how, due to a slight but rather significant technicality, you are no longer married to Sami Brady. And unless you want that info to go tabloid, I suggest you start being rather generous with me, counselor.
Victor: Well, to what do I owe this pleasure?
Bo: This isn't a social visit, Victor.
Hope: We'd like to ask you a few questions about John Black.
Victor: Oh, yes, I heard he was in trouble. What a shame. I should probably call Marlena. I'm sure she's beside herself.
Bo: Actually, John is the one who's beside himself. He claims he was set up.
Victor: You know, when a man goes through a thing like this, one would hope that he'd come out the other end triumphant.
Bo: He says he's innocent.
Hope: He thinks that you and Philip planted that cocaine.
Victor: Well, surely you don't believe him.
Bo: We're still putting facts together.
Hope: Victor, you have a history of drug trafficking.
Victor: I don't remember being formally charged. You know, it's -- it's tragic that John would dishonor himself this way, not just because of his family. I mean, he's desecrated the memory of my beloved Isabella.
Bo: There are some things about this case that don't add up.
Victor: John got greedy. He wanted control of the docks, and now I know why. Now we all know why. So he could peddle his contraband without getting caught.
Bo: You're saying you had nothing to do with this.
Victor: I couldn't make myself more clear.
Bo: Right. If you're lying to us, we will find out.
Victor: I have nothing to hide. Listen, can you stay a bit? It's been a while since we visited. I'll tell you about my trip.
Bo: Thanks, but, um, we got to go.
Victor: Take care.
Philip: Hey, good to see you, bro. How you doing?
Lucas: Not bad.
Chloe: Philip, what are you doing here?
Philip: Well, you got me thinking. I hadn't seen my brother yet, and my men who are watching John said he wasn't home, so... I didn't expect to see you here.
Chloe: I wanted to see Lucas, too. [Cellphone ringing] [Beep]
Philip: Can I call you back? I'm in the middle of something.
Victor: We need to talk now -- right now.
Philip: Okay. Hold on. Excuse me a minute. Okay. I'm back. What happened?
Victor: I just had a visit from the Salem Police Department. It seems that Bo and Hope have been assigned to investigate the drug bust at the pier.
Philip: I told you I'd handle it.
Victor: And I told you I was taking control of the situation, Philip -- right now.
Philip: I said I'd handle it!
John: Handle what? What the hell are you doing in my house?
Philip: I'm gonna have to call you back.
Kayla: What news? Is something wrong?
Maxine: Good news. Your son's being taken off the ventilator tomorrow.
Kayla: [Exhales deeply]
Kayla: Did you hear that?
Steve: Yeah, I heard that.
Max: Hey, Roman.
Roman: Baby brother... I heard about what happened between you and John at the pier.
Max: Oh, no. Please, can we not do this right now? I got a lot of stuff to do.
Roman: No. Let's talk about this right now.
Max: What's there to talk about? It was a stupid misunderstanding.
Roman: Max, I know you very well. It's not like you to pick a fight.
Max: I didn't. I got pushed, so I pushed back.
Roman: Okay, then level with me. What's going on here?
Hope: Would my beautiful girl like some juice?
Ciara: Yes, please.
Bo: Well, you came to the right place.
Hope: Absolutely. Grandma keeps the juice behind the bar.
Bo: Just make sure you leave a little tip for the bartender.
Hope: Can you say, "thank you, Daddy"?
Ciara: Thank you, Daddy.
Bo: You're welcome.
Chelsea: Can I talk to you alone for a second?
Bo: Sure. Is something wrong?
Caroline: Hi, everybody. I -- I just -- can I get attention for a minute? Uh, I want to thank you all for coming. And most of all, I want to thank you for being so generous with your time and your support and hard work, and I know my dear Shawn would be very happy to see I've been given so much love and so much support. So, that being said, I would like to introduce someone very special. It happens to be my son -- the esteemed manager of our ever so humble but now green Brady Pub -- Max Brady. [Cheers and applause]
John: Well, well, well. Quite a little party you have here, Lucas. Is this how you show me your gratitude -- by contaminating my house with these unsavory characters?
Lucas: My gratitude?
John: I don't have to let you live here, do I?
Lucas: No, I guess that's true. You don't.
John: And, by the way, you can always go back. I'm sure the other prisoners are missing you right about now.
Lucas: Well, if I do go back, you might be there waiting for me.
John: That would only be because I was framed by your charming half brother. So unless you want to wear out your welcome, Lucas, I suggest you kick these two to the curb right now... before I do it for you.
E.J.: I don't take very kindly to being blackmailed.
Nicole: Oh, come on. E.J., I'm kidding. Come on. Lighten up a little bit. We could have so much fun together.
E.J.: Nicole, I'm not interested in having fun with you.
Nicole: Oh. And here I thought we were becoming friends.
E.J.: Friends? Is this how you treat your friends, Nicole? Is it? You know, in a way, I almost feel sorry for you. I don't actually think you want to do this. I just think you're so insecure that you're only prepared to let yourself be vulnerable in a situation that you feel you can manipulate, that you can control. It's a lot easier to hide your emotions behind a bottle of booze or blackmail, isn't it?
Nicole: You think you know me so well.
E.J.: Am I wrong?
Nicole: I can be caring and -- and sensitive and -- and sweet. I can be all those things.
E.J.: I'm not stopping you from being those things. The only person who's stopping you is you.
Nicole: Well, I'm sorry. I could just really use someone to talk to.
Max: Well, now that we all have a drink, I just want to thank all of you that, uh, played a part in making this day possible. I know a lot of you have given a lot of time and, you know -- into making the pub eco-friendly. But most of all, I want to thank our fearless and innovative owner, my Mom, without whom none of this would be possible.
Bo: That's right, Ma.
Max: And I guess this isn't the first time, you know, that we've sort of started this -- I mean a new direction for the pub. It -- I guess the pub was -- making it eco-friendly was a dream started by Pop years ago, you know? My Father -- my Father's generosity and, uh, compassion knew no limits, and what he wanted for us, uh, was to make the world a better place for all his children. I'm sorry. Maybe one of my big brothers can take over, 'cause I-I-I can't.
Roman: Are you sure about that, Max?
Max: Yeah. Please.
Bo: I think what Max is trying to say here is that today marks a realization of a -- of a dream for Pop, right? I'm sure he's looking down on us right now, proud of what we've accomplished. So, uh, here's to Pop. Pop, we couldn't have done it without your example. You are an inspiration, and you always will be. To Pop.
Hope: To Pop.
Lucas: All right. Just hold on. Nobody's kicking anybody to the curb. My half brother and his guest have every right to visit me.
John: Not in my home.
Lucas: Sami lives here, too. My daughter lives here, as well. Are you gonna kick everybody out? What do you think Blondie would say about that?
John: She would respect my wishes.
Lucas: You signed off on my house-arrest papers. You agreed to take legal responsibility for me. You really want to stir up another legal cloud with all these things that are happening?
John: What things? I'm innocent. I had nothing to do with that drug shipment.
Lucas: I guess we'll just have to take your word for it.
John: Oh, no. Don't do that. Why don't you take Samantha's word for it? The mother of your children also thinks I'm innocent.
Lucas: Yeah? Well, Sami thinks a lot of things are true that just aren't.
John: Yeah? Like what? Like you're a decent guy who deserves her loyalty?
Lucas: No. She thinks that maybe we're gonna get back together soon, but there's no guarantee that's gonna happen.
John: You're breaking my heart.
Lucas: I'm just gonna stay here long enough to get custody of my daughter.
John: That should be a cakewalk for a man who keeps such top-tier company.
Philip: Lucas, I don't want to cause any more trouble.
John: Why don't you just stop while you're ahead, Philip?
Philip: We'll catch up later.
Lucas: Sounds good.
John: I don't want 'em back here. They're not welcome in my home.
Bo: Come here, you. With the pub being certified green, um, it kind of makes me feel that we're all joining a worldwide, very worthy revolution -- a revolution to stop global warming and save this earth that we're living on. And no matter who you are, what religion, what political bent, there's obviously nothing more important than that. And as Max was saying, Pop's drive in life came from his desire to make this world a better place for us and our children. So actually what we're doing here is just following in his footsteps. So, let me get my drink. Here's to Pop. Thanks for your inspiration. Cheers.
Man: Your certificate, Mrs. Brady.
Caroline: Oh, thank you so much. Oh, look at that. Is that wonderful? [Cheers and applause]
Bo: I think Roman has, um, 20 or 30 minutes of prepared speech here.
Roman: Oh, you are such a jokester, little brother. No. As a matter of fact, I do believe that Bo pretty much said it all. I just, uh, I just want to thank everybody -- friends, family -- for being here today, and I just want to encourage us all to help save this incredible planet that we live on and to be as green as we can be in our personal lives. There are a whole lot of websites you can check out with hundreds of ways to help the cause. And I do believe if we all pitch in that, yes, we can make a difference. And, contrary to Bo, that's it. Thank you. [Laughter]
Bo: Okay, then, let's party.
Caroline: Oh, wait, wait. Just a minute. Oh! I forgot to cut the ribbon. Okay?
[Cheers and applause]
Hope: All right!
Stephanie: How's Joe?
Kayla: We have good news. They're taking him off the ventilator.
Stephanie: Oh, my God. See, I told you.
Kayla: I know you did.
Kayla: Listen, where's Max? I thought he was supposed to be a big part of this whole thing.
Stephanie: I can't find him.
Stephanie: I mean, he was here, and he gave his speech, and he got upset, and now we don't know where he is. I'm really worried about him.
Nick: I'm gonna take off, look for Max.
Stephanie: Let me come with you.
Nick: No, no, no. Don't. Stay here with your parents.
Stephanie: I want to help.
Nick: I'll call you as soon as I know anything, all right? [Door closes]
Hope: Are you okay?
Chelsea: Besides having ruined my entire life?
Hope: What are you talking about?
Chelsea: You know, Hope, I really thought that I had changed for the better after Dad's operation, but it turns out I'm just as selfish as I ever have been.
Hope: Chelsea, honey.
Nick: I thought I'd find you here.
Max: Am I that predictable?
Nick: You're missing the party. Everybody's asking where you are.
Max: I shouldn't have walked out of there like that. It was disrespectful.
Nick: People just want to know that you're okay, Max. Listen, you've been a really good friend to me... and I know that something's bothering you. So if you ever need anything...
Max: It was just hard talking about my Pop, especially now that...
Nick: Whenever you're ready to talk, I'm there. You should probably get going, though. Got to get back to the pub. There's some worried Brady's wondering where you are. Stephanie, too.
Max: All right. Well, let's get back, then.
Nick: All right.
Stephanie: I was worried about you.
Max: Yeah. I'm sorry I took off like that.
Stephanie: It's okay. I understand. I'm just glad you're back.
[Spoon tapping on glass]
Kayla: I don't think that has a very good sound.
Steve: I know.
Bo: Steve, get an empty glass.
Kayla: Yeah. He doesn't know that.
Steve: I got a quick announcement to make, and, uh... just -- Kayla and I just want everybody to know that our baby boy is getting better.
Bo: All right!
Hope: Thank God.
Steve: They're taking him off the ventilator.
Roman: All right!
Steve: Big Joe Johnson will be breathing on his own. We just want to thank everybody for all your prayers and your love and support. We really appreciate it. We love you.
Roman: Wow. Good news.
Kayla: Thank you.
Hope: Hey. You risked your life for your father. The last thing you are is selfish.
Chelsea: Yeah, I saved my Dad, but, come on, Hope, he's family. It's kind of like a given that I would do that. It's expected.
Hope: Why are you doing this? You did a brave and noble thing. I won't have you downplaying it and neither will your father.
Chelsea: Okay. Okay, I did it -- a brave and amazing thing for my Dad. But that doesn't change the fact that I hurt somebody else in the process.
Chelsea: I broke up with him. I acted like he never meant anything to me, and he was so hurt, and I just -- I acted like I didn't even care.
Hope: Because you were attracted to someone else.
Chelsea: Right. Which, by the way, turned out to be a complete waste of time.
Hope: Listen to me, okay? We all make mistakes in love. We get hurt. They get hurt. You're a beautiful, young, compassionate woman.
Chelsea: Thank you, Hope.
Hope: You have your whole life ahead of you. You will find a love that works, okay? Trust me. Look at your dad and me, okay? Look at him. Okay?
Chelsea: Thank you.
Chloe: Hey. I know this isn't a good time.
Lucas: Well, it never is.
Chloe: Just hear me out, okay?
Lucas: I don't understand why you came back.
Chloe: I told you -- I want to be your friend.
Lucas: I don't need friends.
Chloe: Well, I do.
Lucas: And I'm the lucky guy you've chosen?
Chloe: [Sighs] Look, I'll be totally honest with you. Not only don't I have a lot of friends, I don't have anybody, really. I just need allies, Lucas. It's as simple as that. I even tried to reach out to Sami earlier, but she totally blew me off.
Lucas: Really? Wow. That's a shocker.
Chloe: It's not easy for me here in Salem and especially now that Victor is back.
Lucas: Oh, what's the matter? You and old Vic having trouble? You're not hitting it off anymore?
Chloe: Lucas, please. I figured if anyone knows what it feels like...
Lucas: What, to be hated? Misunderstood? Yeah, I have a feeling what that's like.
Chloe: Well, I don't hate you. In fact, I find you to be kind of funny and charming, in your own unique way. So, what do you say? For the last time, can we be friends?
Victor: I want you to double security at all the ports. Overseas, too. I'm not taking any more chances. Until I say so. Isn't that what I pay you for? Just get back to me within the hour. Where the hell have you been?
Philip: Nice to see you, too.
Victor: If you want nice, teach kindergarten. Where were you when I called?
Philip: At John's, visiting Lucas.
Victor: All right, Philip. I'm going to say this one more time, and I want you to listen well. I want you to stay away from John Black. I will handle this situation by myself, without your assistance.
Victor: This is not up for negotiation.
Philip: This is something I started. This is my deal.
Victor: And I told you to leave it alone.
Philip: I planted the cocaine in John's shipment, and I'm gonna see this through to the end.
Victor: Philip --
Philip: It's not up for negotiation.
Hope: Sit down. We'll talk about this.
Stephanie: It's nice to see you smile again.
Stephanie: You doing okay?
Max: Yeah. Better. You probably want to know why I left earlier.
Stephanie: Don't worry about it. I understand, and I think you'll tell me when you're ready, just like you'll tell Nick what you really did to his work when you're ready.
Nick: Dean Robbins.
Robbins: Ah, Mr. Fallon.
Nick: You here for the ceremony?
Robbins: Oh, yeah. I never miss a chance to support the environmental movement. Look, I'm glad I ran into you.
Robbins: I'm having a book signing tonight at the Java Café©. I would like to invite you to attend.
Nick: Oh, great. I'd love to.
Bo: Hey, kid, you taking off already?
Chelsea: Yeah, I'm gonna go see grandpa and ask him for a favor.
Bo: All right.
Chelsea: Thank you again for everything.
Hope: Of course. Honey, anytime.
Chelsea: All right. I'll see you guys.
Bo: All right. Bye.
Chelsea: Goodbye. Bye. Thanks again.
Hope: Remember what I said.
Chelsea: I will.
Bo: The exit's that way.
Hope: That way.
Chelsea: Yeah, I know. Um, Nick's outside. Not that I'm afraid to see him. I just really want to avoid confrontation.
Bo: All right.
Chelsea: I love you guys.
Hope: Love you, too.
Kayla: Well, there you are.
Steve: Hey, what you two talking about?
Stephanie: Just chatting.
Stephanie: I am so happy about Joey. It's the most amazing news ever.
Steve: So, you ready to do some babysitting?
Stephanie: Of course. Are you kidding? Except I don't know if Mom's gonna let him out of her sight for a while.
Kayla: Oh, you may be right. I might do a little hovering.
Bo: Okay, grandma. We got to take off, get back to work. Is it okay if you hang out here with your grandma a little bit longer? I think so.
Hope: Caroline, thank you so much.
Caroline: Oh, don't say thanks. She's the best company of all.
Bo: Mwah! See you later.
Hope: Be a good girl. Easy on grandma. I love you, sweetheart. Thank you.
Bo: Why don't we see what John's up to?
Hope: I hate to think he might be guilty.
Bo: If he is, it's his own damn fault.
Rusty: Mr. Black. Listen. I don't know if it's such a good idea us meeting here like this.
John: I need information. I'm willing to pay if the intelligence sticks.
Rusty: I'm just a longshoreman, Mr. Black.
John: Anything you can tell me...will be appreciated.
Rusty: There is one thing.
John: Go on.
Rusty: Do you remember the Customs guy who got axed a few weeks ago?
Rusty: That's the one. Look, I'm not sure what it means, but I saw him hanging out with Philip Kiriakis not too long ago, if that helps any.
John: Thank you.
Chloe: It's a simple yes or no, Lucas. Do you want to be friends?
Lucas: Sure. Sure, let's be friends.
Chloe: Wow, you don't sound too thrilled about that.
Lucas: It's just gonna take a little time to get used to. I don't know what it's gonna involve.
Chloe: You're suspicious of my motives?
Chloe: [Scoffs] I just want to prove to everyone that I'm a good person.
Lucas: Oh, I get it. So now I'm your lab rat.
Chloe: No. I think "guinea pig" sounds better, don't you?
Lucas: Yeah. It probably does.
Chloe: Thank you. I mean it. This -- this really means a lot to me.
Lucas: Well, there's a catch, you know?
Lucas: Promise me you won't hurt Philip.
Chloe: Hurt Philip? I'm just hoping he doesn't hurt me.
Philip: Paul, what's up? Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow down. Slow down. Hey, you need to stop worrying. The police are running around in circles. Hey, I need you to lie low and keep your mouth shut. If you do what I say, you will not be investigated. Understood? What did I just say? Keep your mouth shut and stop worrying.
E.J.: Nicole, before you grab a drink, let's sit down for a second. Please. Look, about what I said earlier, I didn't mean to be mean to you, okay? I meant to be honest. But I was being honest. I wasn't being mean. If you could just stop hiding behind all this, I think you'd find life a lot easier.
Bo: Yeah, we heard. He set you up, planted the drugs on your ship.
John: Well, here's something that you haven't heard. I have proof.
Kate: I've been in a great deal of pain and I think that there's something very wrong.
Max: You are a con man and a fraud, and I'm gonna let everyone at the university know.
