Kayla: Look at you. You're perfect. You're alive and well and getting stronger every hour. That's 'cause you're a fighter, just like your daddy. Yeah.

Ava: You're exactly like your daddy. And that's why he's gonna be mine.

Kayla: No.

Ava: Yes.

Kayla: No!

Ava: Yes.

Kayla: No, you're not taking my baby, no!

Ava: Come here. Come here.

Kayla: You're not taking my baby! Hey! Hey, you're not taking my baby! Give me my baby back! Give me my baby back!

Ava: Hello, Kayla.

Philip: Hey.

Pete: How you doing, man?

Philip: Don't tell me you're closed already.

Pete: Yeah, Mrs. Brady wanted to close early tonight.

Philip: Look, I don't want to hold you up, but I was supposed to meet somebody here.

Pete: You're Bo's half brother, right -- Philip?

Philip: Philip Kiriakis. I-I think we've met. Pete, right?

Pete: Yeah. Come on in, man. Caroline says family's always welcome.

Philip: Thank you.

Pete: You bet. I'll be in the back if you need anything, okay?

Philip: Oh, thank you.

Pete: You bet.

Philip: All right, let's go over this one last time and in detail, just to make sure there aren't any screw-ups. But first and foremost, I need to know I can count on you.

Man: With the amount of dough you're paying me, you bet you can.

Sami: Well, Allie's grown a lot, hasn't she? She certainly remembered you.

Lucas: At least somebody did.

Sami: Lucas.

Lucas: How long? How long has this been going on between you and E.J.?

Sami: Tonight was the first time. It was the only time.

Lucas: You really think I'm that stupid?

Sami: It's the truth. You have to believe me.

Lucas: Why? Why would you do it? I mean, why E.J.?

Sami: I don't know.

Lucas: You don't know? All right.

Sami: Lucas, you wouldn't talk to me. You wouldn't call me. You didn't let me see you. The only way you communicated with me was with that e-mail telling me to forget about you and move on with my life.

Lucas: Didn't take you very long to do that, did it?

Sami: I was heartbroken when I read that e-mail. It -- it destroyed me.

Lucas: So much so that you had to console yourself by sleeping with E.J.?

Sami: It wasn't like that.

Lucas: Listen to me. I don't blame you. I don't blame you for needing to be with somebody. I was in prison. I left you. I left you with two little babies to take care of, so I don't blame you for that. What I don't understand is how could you move on with E.J.?

Sami: He forgave you for shooting him.

Lucas: He is the reason our lives are -- are upside down right now. He did all this, and I can't believe you could even look at the guy, much less sleep with him.

Sami: Look, he has taken responsibility for everything that he did, and I mean everything. Lucas, you have to take responsibility for what you did.

Lucas: Excuse me. I took responsibility. I went to prison. Why the hell you think I confessed?

Sami: I'm not talking about that! I'm talking about your part in splitting us up because you were the one who pulled that trigger. You wouldn't call me. You wouldn't see me. Why did you do that? Why did you ignore me?!

Lucas: Why do you think I did that?! I did that for you!

Sami: You didn't care how that would make me feel or what that would do to us.

Lucas: How could you say that? I didn't know I was gonna get out of jail! Now I got this ankle thing on, monitors my every move. What am I supposed to do? It's not fair. How can I ask you to wait for me?

Sami: Lucas, I would have waited for you. I would have waited for you forever.

Lucas: I wouldn't want you to do that. Who do you think I am? You think I'd want you coming to see me in prison, bringing our children? You think I'd want them seeing that? You think I'd want to put us through that? No. I had no choice. Damn it, I had to set you free!

Sami: Why didn't you tell me that you were coming home?

Lucas: Because I wanted to surprise you. I wanted to surprise you. Don't you get that?! I guess I was the one who was surprised in the long run, wasn't I?

Sami: Lucas, I'm s-sorry. Okay, I'm so so--

Lucas: What happened if I would have called first? Would you have lied to me? Would you have just kept me in the dark about what's going on between you and E.J.?

Sami: Nothing would have happened! It was the first time.

Lucas: Come on, Sami!

Sami: I'm telling you the truth -- nothing happened.

E.J.: She's telling the truth, Lucas.

Lucas: Another word out of your mouth, and this time it's not gonna be attempted murder.

Sami: Uh, E.J., I think Lucas is right. I think you had better go. It's okay.

E.J.: All right. I'll go. Call me if you need me.

Sami: Lucas, I love you.

Lucas: Don't even bother. Save it. Save that whole routine. You ruined it. You slept with the devil, Sami. I can never believe another word that comes out of your lying mouth.

John: Who are you? And why are you addressing her with such disrespect?

Announcer: Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.

Kayla: I must have been having a nightmare.

Ava: Y-you were calling out for your baby.

Kayla: I was holding him... and then you showed up and took him away from me.

Ava: I... I can understand why you would dream that. I mean, I did such awful things. Look, I want you to know that was a different Ava. It was the one who was -- who was a little crazy from all those drugs.

Kayla: A little?

Ava: Look, you don't have to be afraid of me anymore. My head's clear, and I'm... I'm back to my old self.

Kayla: Good. If that's true.

Ava: It is. You'll see. Look, I just -- I really -- I heard what happened to you, and as soon as I did, I felt like I needed to come over and offer you any help that I could, for whatever that's worth.

Kayla: I-I-I don't think that Steve would be so thrilled that you're here.

Ava: No. No, probably not, but that's why I came after regular visiting hours, and I made sure that he wasn't around.

Kayla: He left?

Ava: No, no, no. He's not gone. He's just -- he's down in neonatal ICU. He's really worried about your little boy.

Kayla: We both are.

Ava: I just really wish there was something I could do to help you.

Kayla: There isn't.

Ava: I just -- I can't help but think that what I did to you is the reason that all of this happened.

Philip: Okay, then. So, we're clear.

Man: Crystal.

Philip: And if my name or my father's name ever gets connected to it --

Man: No one will ever be able to connect you.

Philip: All right, the money will be transferred as soon as it's done. Do not contact me again.

[Door closes]

Philip: Chloe. I didn't see you come in.

Chloe: So I gather. Now, are you gonna tell me what that was all about?

Nicole: Oh, E.J. Hey, I've been trying to call you all night. Why haven't you answered your cellphone?

E.J.: I was busy.

Nicole: Now you're not, right? You're heading in for a nightcap?

E.J.: Um...yes. And I don't need any company. Thank you.

Nicole: Hang on. E.J., I-I need you. And from the look on your face, something tells me you need me, too.

Lucas: What are you talking about, John? It's me. It's Lucas.

John: Oh, yes. My other convict.

Lucas: Yeah. I forgot you wouldn't remember who I am. I heard what happened to you.

John: Never mind about me. Answer my question. Why were you raising your voice at Samantha?

Sami: You know what, uh, John? I think you should stay out of this.

Marlena: Stay out of what? Lucas. What are you doing here? How did you get out of jail?

Lucas: I was released under house arrest.

Marlena: Oh, honey, that's wonderful. That's wonderful. Sami, isn't it just great?

Sami: Yeah.

Marlena: I-I guess you have to wear a monitor?

Lucas: Yeah, sure do. Tracks my every move.

John: There's a 10-yard perimeter around my mansion. He steps one foot beyond it, sounds and alarms and Salem's finest hunts him down like the convict that he is.

Lucas: How do you know all that?

John: I was fitted for one myself. But you remember that, don't you, Blondie?

Lucas: I guess John's agreed to take responsibility for me, according to Mickey.

Marlena: Is that true?

Sami: John, why didn't you tell me?

John: Oh, it was a surprise to delight the two of you.

Lucas: [Exhales sharply]

John: But now I'm not so sure I did the right thing.

Marlena: Why do you say that?

Lucas: I guess John didn't take into account that E.J. lives here, as well.

Marlena: Lucas, there's nothing to worry about with E.J.

Lucas: Oh, really?

Marlena: What's going on here?

John: When I entered the great room, the convict here was berating your daughter.

Marlena: Why? Why was he doing that?

John: It's your turn. But I have to admonish you to speak civilly, or it's right back to the state penitentiary.

Sami: Listen, John. This is a private matter between Lucas and me.

Lucas: What Sami doesn't want you to know is I caught her. I caught her in bed with E.J.

Marlena: Sami... say that's not true.

Sami: I can explain.

Marlena: Oh, my God.

John: Explain why you were in bed with your husband?

Lucas: E.J. blackmailed her into marrying him. It was a marriage in name only, at least that's what she keeps telling me, right?

Sami: Mom, tonight was the first time. Look, I didn't know Lucas was coming home. It -- it just...happened.

Lucas: Right. Still sticking to that story, huh, Sami?

Marlena: Lucas, listen to me. I don't know what happened here tonight, but I can tell you that Sami is telling you the truth. There's nothing going on between she and E.J. I can vouch for that.

Lucas: Based on what, her exemplary history of honesty and loyalty?

Marlena: The fact that I live here, and I would know.

Lucas: Yeah, I can see that.

Marlena: Lucas, she's missed you desperately.

Lucas: Then why is he here? Why is he still living here? Why are they even married? Stefano is in a coma. The vendetta's over, right?

Marlena: There's an explanation for that. And I'm sure Sami has an explanation for whatever happened tonight.

Lucas: I know what the explanation is, Marlena. She's a lying, cheating whore.

E.J.: What I need is a stiff drink, that's all. So, if you will excuse me...

Nicole: No, you can't.

E.J.: Why not?

Nicole: Because the pub's closed. See the sign? Now we're both out of luck.

E.J.: Really? I think after your embarrassing performance at the DiMera mansion earlier, the last thing you need is any more booze.

Nicole: I shouldn't have come to the mansion, especially three sheets to the wind.

E.J.: Nicole, when are you ever not three sheets to the wind?

Nicole: Seriously, though, Sami was pretty ticked off. I mean, I thought she was gonna scratch my eyes out. But I got her good and jealous, which is what you wanted, right?

E.J.: You did. I suppose I should be thanking you for that.

Nicole: Really?

E.J.: Yes. In a way, you did fix things with Samantha.

Nicole: Oh.

E.J.: At least I hope that's still the case. Anyway, I need to go and find somewhere to get a drink, so you gonna be okay?

Nicole: No, actually, I'm not. The other thing I wanted to tell you is that I'm in a crisis.

E.J.: You're in a crisis. Okay. What happened? Did Victor throw you out of the house again?

Nicole: No, it's worse than that, much worse.

E.J.: What, did he put a lock on the liquor cabinet?

Nicole: This has nothing to do with Victor. And please stop making jokes. It's about Pookie.

E.J.: I am sorry. Please accept my condolences.

Nicole: No, she's not dead. She's -- she's been cured. She's gonna be fine.

E.J.: Then why do you need my help?

Nicole: They won't let me get her until tomorrow, and I can't bear the thought of her staying another night in that horrible place when she should be with me.

E.J.: What would you like me to do about it?

Nicole: There's a night guard, and I've kind of harassed him a little, so he won't talk to me.

E.J.: Really? I cannot possibly imagine why.

Nicole: And so, I need you to do your lawyer thing, get a warrant or a writ or an injunction or whatever the hell it is and get my baby back to me tonight.

Chloe: So, who was that smarmy-looking guy, and what were you asking him to do?

Philip: It was business.

Chloe: I'll bet.

Philip: You go looking for trouble, you're gonna find it. Stay out of it, Chloe.

Chloe: Or what?

Kayla: Premature labor isn't exactly rare, but we may never know what brought it on.

Ava: But still. I can't help but feel responsible. You know, Patch tol-- I'm sorry. Steve. Steve told me that your pregnancy was high risk, and... I cost you a little bit of stress, to say the least.

Kayla: You were under the influence of some pretty powerful drugs.

Ava: To be honest, I can't really remember everything, just bits and pieces, you know. But mostly it's like -- it's like a bad dream.

Kayla: That's one way to put it.

Ava: Thank goodness Hope's okay.

Kayla: She was very lucky.

Ava: I should have been strong enough to fight the effects of those pills.

Kayla: You know, Ava, I am a doctor. I know that class of drugs, and they are very powerful. I know what they can do to people.

Ava: You know, after I got arrested, you didn't have to help me. But you took those pills and you got them analyzed and you found out the truth.

Kayla: I had to.

Ava: No. No, you didn't. You did it because you are a good person and because you cared.

Kayla: Ava.

Ava: No, it's true. And because of you, I got my life back. God, I just wish that there was some way that I could help repay the favor.

Kayla: I really appreciate the fact that you want to make up for what you did. And, um, it was very nice that you wanted to come by and see me.

Ava: Well, I-I didn't know how much longer I'd be free.

Kayla: But you're out on bail.

Ava: But I still have to stand trial. And now I don't -- I don't have my daddy to take care of things anymore.

Kayla: I'm sorry about your father.

Ava: Thanks, but you don't have to say that. He did a lot of awful things. And I still can't believe what he did to me and to my mother.

Kayla: You know, Ava... you're most likely going to inherit a large amount of money.

Ava: I don't care about any of that.

Kayla: Maybe you should.

Ava: Why?

Kayla: Your father did so many horrible things in his life. Maybe you can take that money and do some good.

E.J.: Nicole, I'm sorry. But I am sick to death of hearing about Pookie.

Nicole: Well, I'm sorry. I didn't realize I'd been annoying you. She only almost died. She's only the best friend I've ever had.

E.J.: I know. I understand that. Fine. You want my help? You have it, okay?

Nicole: Really? Thank you.

E.J.: Yes. Just -- I'll do it, but I'll do it on one condition, okay? You have to answer me one question.

Nicole: What?

E.J.: What is wrong with you?

Chloe: Are you threatening me 'cause I just love it when you act all tough, kind of turns me on.

Philip: Is that why you're sticking your nose where it doesn't belong?

Chloe: You know what, Philip? The truth is, I don't really care what you were up to.

Philip: Oh, yeah? Then why did you follow me?

Chloe: I was just hoping we could have a little chat.

Philip: What about?

Chloe: About us.

Philip: Us?

Chloe: And where exactly we stand. We should get that sorted out, don't you think?

Philip: What kind of sorting out do you think we need to do?

Chloe: The kind where we talk about the future.

John: Perhaps you didn't quite understand what I said. Nobody speaks like that to my stepdaughter.

Lucas: She might be your stepdaughter, but she's my wife.

John: Was your wife, as I understand it. She's married to someone else now.

Lucas: Yeah, I can explain that.

John: I understand. Elvis coerced her into marriage. You got mad, shot him in the back on the day they were married.

Lucas: Let me ask you something, John. How would you feel? You think you'd be a little upset if you found Marlena in bed with another man?

John: Perhaps. But we're talking about you, aren't we?

Marlena: I know you're upset. It must have been a terrible shock to walk in here and see what you saw.

Lucas: "Shock" doesn't even begin to describe it.

Marlena: In any event, you may not speak to my daughter like that. And I think you owe her the opportunity to explain what happened.

Lucas: I think you're right. Fine, Sami, explain. Explain it to us all how you ended up having sex with E.J. tonight.

Sami: So, you'd like an explanation? Well, I have one. E.J...has been there for me.

Lucas: I'll bet he has.

Sami: Not like that. E.J. Has been helping me with the twins. He stayed up with me late when they were sick. He rocked them in his arms when they were crying. He helped me put them to bed at night, every night. He turned his life around to try to help me raise these children. He even agreed to move into this nuthouse with John. No offense.

Lucas: So, for all that, you just decided to sleep with him.

Sami: No. I was lonely and vulnerable. And I was definitely upset about reading that e-mail.

John: E-mail?

Marlena: Maybe we should give them some privacy.

John: Oh, no.

Sami: No. No. You should hear this. You should know why. Lucas sent me an e-mail, telling me to forget about him. He told me to move on with my life. He even said that if he got out of prison, that I would still be better off without him!

John: Ow.

Sami: What was I supposed to do?!

Lucas: I told you. I said it before. I could understand you needing to be with somebody, but not my mortal enemy, someone who's been dying to step into my shoes.

Sami: You made it easy for him, didn't you? You were the one who pulled that trigger. You're the one who got yourself thrown in prison so that we couldn't be together.

Lucas: You are the one who allowed yourself to be manipulated by him. You're married to him, Sami! I was doing this for you! I was trying to protect you, damn it!

Sami: I wanted to protect our family. I did what I had to do.

Lucas: Well, so did I.

Sami: I never lied to you. I never was dishonest with you. I told you what I was planning. I told you what I was feeling the entire time. You gave me your blessing.

Lucas: Oh, come on. I would hardly call it my blessing.

Sami: You agreed that it was the right thing to do when we thought that John was dead. But you never once told me that you were planning on shooting him, you never once told me about your schemes with Kate, and I asked you! Everything you did ruined our future together!

Lucas: Maybe it wasn't a good idea to shoot E.J. like that, but I didn't ask you to marry him! I didn't tell you to do that!

Sami: No, but you know what? He has been a hell of a good husband to me lately, which is more than I can say for you!

Nicole: What do you mean, what's wrong with me?

E.J.: Nicole, you're a beautiful woman, okay? You're smart, you're funny, charming. Why do you insist on living your life like this?

Nicole: There's nothing wrong with the way I live. Everything is the way I want it.

E.J.: Really? You're in the middle of an ugly divorce from a man you don't love, he's old enough to be your father, you drink like a fish, and the only things you seem to care about, aside from money and booze, is a little dog because you don't have anything else.

Nicole: Don't sugarcoat it, E.J. Tell me how you really feel.

E.J.: I'm not trying to be mean. I just don't think that you understand it any other way. And the irony is, I actually think you're much better than that.

Nicole: No, actually, I'm not. What you see is what you get. I'm as shallow as everyone thinks I am.

E.J.: I don't believe that, and you don't believe it, either. Look... there is nothing wrong with you that a little bit of self-confidence wouldn't cure. Have you thought about going back into school, get a degree, get a job? Look after yourself. You're not stupid. Nicole, you're a really intelligent woman. You just hide it really well. Take it from one who knows. It's actually kind of nice being a full, contributing member of society.

Nicole: Nice lecture, E.J., but been there, done that. Something always goes wrong, just like my love life.

E.J.: Look, you can't compare the two, okay? Your love life is just timing. You just haven't found the right guy just yet.

Nicole: The right guy... doesn't exist, at least not for me.

E.J.: Well, I think you've just been looking in all the wrong places.

Philip: The future? You seem pretty sure of yourself, not to mention me.

Chloe: You told me you wanted me.

Philip: And you said you weren't available, as I recall.

Chloe: Until my divorce was final.

Philip: Is it?

Chloe: No, but it will be soon.

Philip: You really don't think there's any hope for you and Brady?

Chloe: About as much as there is for you and Belle.

Philip: [Grunts]

Chloe: So, it appears that we're both free and hurting.

[Ice rattles]

Philip: What do you say we stop playing games, and you tell me exactly what you want?

Chloe: I want you to help me forget about Brady.

Ava: Look, I know you're worried, but you should try and get some rest.

Kayla: I just want to see my baby and hold him. They won't even let me near him.

Ava: Well, you just gave birth. I'm sure if anything changes, Steve will just rush right on up and tell you.

Kayla: I know he will. I just -- they took the baby away so fast, and -- but they -- they said I could see him tomorrow.

Ava: Tomorrow? To hell with that. Why don't you just sneak out of here and go take a look?

Kayla: I'd love to. But I'd never get past the nurse's station.

Ava: Oh. You know what? You should just try and go to sleep because then tomorrow's gonna be here sooner than you know it.

Kayla: Thanks for coming by.

Ava: Take care of yourself, Kayla. And I'll say a little prayer for your boy.

Philip: You want me to help you forget about Brady?

Chloe: Don't get all nervous. I just mean in the same way that I can help you forget about belle. We'll...distract each other, like we talked about.

Philip: By going to bed.

Chloe: Oh, come on. There's no denying the attraction. And, frankly, I want to get my ex out of my system.

Philip: As long as this isn't only about getting back at my dad. I don't like being used.

Nicole: You're right, E.J. Maybe the guy I've been looking for is right in front of my face.

E.J.: Oh, Nicole, I'm sorry. I'm not that guy. I'm head over heels for Samantha. You know that.

Nicole: Oh, Sami. Like there's a chance of that ever happening.

E.J.: Actually, in a way, it did. She, uh, admitted earlier this evening that she cares about me.

Nicole: The tramp. What about Lucas?

E.J.: Lucas just got out of prison.

Nicole: Already?

E.J.: Yeah. They released him on a, uh, house-arrest program. And the "house" in question is Casa DiMera.

Nicole: No wonder you need a drink.

E.J.: Yeah, it was quite a row when he showed up. [Clears throat] I thought it best to leave for a while.

Nicole: Then so much for you and Sami, right? I tried to tell you that was a sucker bet.

E.J.: Well, not necessarily.

Nicole: Well, you don't still think there's a snowball's chance in hell that you two can --

E.J.: Nicole, I really believe that once the dust settles, Samantha's gonna realize she really is in love with me.

Nicole: E.J., don't be a fool. The only person Sami's ever loved besides herself is Lucas, and that is never gonna change.

Lucas: Yeah, that's -- that's really nice to hear. E.J.'s a better husband to you than I ever was? Thank you.

Sami: That's not what I meant.

Lucas: No, really, Sami, thank you. This has been one hell of a homecoming.

Sami: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Lucas, but I meant that he has been there for me at maybe one of the hardest times of my life, when you were pushing me away.

Lucas: Don't do that. Don't turn this around on me. Everything I did, I did for you. I told you to move on with your life because I love you!

Sami: That's what I was trying to do!

Lucas: With E.J.?! With E.J., the man who's caused our family so much misery? That's what you do?!

Sami: All right, E.J. Has changed. He has disassociated himself from the DiMeras. He helped us find John. He betrayed Stefano for me.

Marlena: Lucas, that's true. He's not the man you remember.

Lucas: No, he just stole my wife. Oh, wait, no, my ex-wife.

Sami: All right, obviously, we're not going to agree about this. I think we should get an objective opinion.

Marlena: Oh, honey, I don't think it's a good idea for me to advise you.

Sami: I meant John.

Marlena: John?

Sami: Yeah. John is obviously removed from this situation, and he's certainly not afraid to speak his mind. So, John, was I wrong to move on with my life, when that is exactly what Lucas told me to do?

Marlena: Honey, John is the last person that --

John: Blondie, I think she's talking to me. Now, granted, I'm no expert in the ways of love... yet. But if you want my take, here it is.

Marlena: This really should be good.

John: Part of me sides with the convict here. His woman cheated on him with a man that he despises. That's a tough break.

Sami: Technically, it's not cheating.

John: I'm not finished yet. The other part is relieved that Elvis finally did you because the sexual tension in this room was becoming very distracting.

Sami: Oh, my God.

Marlena: This is not helping things.

John: I just call it as I see it. But I do know one thing for sure.

Marlena: What do you know for sure?

John: Despite what you would like me to believe, your family is even more screwed up than I am.

Kayla: If you've come to check my vitals, somebody was just in here and -- Ava, why are you dressed like that?

Ava: Well, so no one would question why I was in neonatal ICU.

Kayla: What do you mean?

Ava: I wanted you to see your little boy. Look.

Kayla: Oh. He's beautiful. My baby. [Sighs]

Philip: You're really up for this, huh, the whole friends-with-benefits thing? It can be tough to pull off.

Chloe: I think I can handle it.

Philip: I don't have time for any drama, Chloe.

Chloe: Neither do I. Trust me. And I'm not looking for anything more serious than you are. But if you're not interested, no worries.

Philip: Wait, wait, wait. [Sighs] What the hell. You could be just the medicine I need right now.

Chloe: Hmm. And the best part of this medicine is that it goes down real easy.

E.J.: You're wrong. Look, if Sami was still in love with Lucas, I find it hard to believe that she would have --

Nicole: Would have what, kissed you the way she did yesterday?

E.J.: Right. Something like that.

Nicole: Oh, my God. The two of you did the nasty. Little tramp jumped your bones.

E.J.: Would you keep your voice down?

Nicole: Well, I'm right, aren't I? That's what Lucas walked in on tonight, you and Sami doing the horizontal mambo.

E.J.: Uh, we were not doing the mambo, not at that moment, anyway.

Nicole: But you were naked in bed together.

E.J.: Maybe.

Nicole: Holy mackerel. Some welcome home.

E.J.: Yeah. Lucas flipped out. Sami flipped out. Whole thing was a bit of a mess.

Nicole: In other words, once again, he was a victim, only this time she felt responsible. I'm sorry, E.J. Honestly, you're better off without her.

E.J.: Well, I'm not admitting defeat just yet.

Nicole: You don't get it, do you? You're not only back to square one. You're not even in the game. It's over.

Lucas: You got that right, John. Your family is pretty messed up. But Sami's taking the cake. She's totally lost her mind.

Sami: Well, if I'm crazy, it's because you made me that way.

Lucas: You were crazy long before I came along. I was a fool to think this would work after everything that's happened. What a joke this is!

Marlena: Hey, that's enough, Lucas.

Sami: Sure as Hell is!

Marlena: You, too, Sami. You both need to calm down, come back together later, and regroup. And maybe you can talk rationally.

Sami: I don't know if that's possible.

Lucas: I don't know if it's worth it. I'm out of here.

Sami: Lucas. Lucas! Lucas!

[Beeping]

Lucas: Damn it!

Philip: All you need to do is persuade your father to give me whatever he's got on John.

Chloe: Isn't this cozy.

Marlena: If you decide your heart is with Lucas, you have to go fight for him.

Lucas: I think I have the perfect solution to our problem.

E.J.: What's that?

Lucas: Why don't you move out?
