Stephanie: I found you.
Max: I didn't know I was lost. Hi.
Stephanie: I stopped by the pub. I thought you were working there tonight, but no Max.
Max: Yeah, it was a slow night. Ma said she could handle it. So I called my supervisor down here, and he said there was a ship weighing anchor. So I dock in some more community-service hours, you know? The ship's going to Ethiopia. We're just loading up medical supplies. So...
Stephanie: For you.
Max: Oh, for me?
Max: Hot chocolate.
Stephanie: And it's the good stuff. It's made with real whipped cream.
Stephanie: You might have to share.
Max: What? No, this is mine. You got to get your own. I'm sorry.
Stephanie: You're so mean. You have to be exhausted.
Max: Yeah. The sooner the community-service hours are done, the sooner I get off the docks, and that can't happen quick enough.
Stephanie: Yeah, well, you're killing yourself doing it.
Max: Yeah, well, I don't know. It's not that bad. It kind of gets my mind off everything else that's happening.
Stephanie: Take it from someone who knows. Sooner or later, you're gonna have to deal with it.
Ava: Well, this is your beloved wife, right? Don't you want to lay one on her?
Steve: Ah, Ava, you know me. I don't really like an audience.
Ava: Really? 'Cause that's not really what I remember. I remember once a little beach in Italy.
Steve: I don't think my beloved wife really wants to hear about all that.
Hope: Yeah, I'll give it a pass.
Ava: Well, maybe she needs to hear about it. Maybe she needs to hear how great we were, 'cause I'm betting you haven't told her.
Steve: [Sighs] Okay. There was some great stuff. But mostly I remember trying to stay one step ahead of whoever was after us -- from both sides of the law.
Ava: I thought it was fun. I'll bet Kayla here isn't half as much fun.
Steve: I don't know. We have some good times.
Ava: Oh, really? Why don't you show me? Kiss her.
Nicole: Go play, go play, go play. Cute. Oh! Henderson. This is empty. Could you bring me my usual?
Henderson: Coming right up.
Victor: That won't be necessary. Nicole is just leaving.
Nicole: Oh, I wouldn't be so sure.
Victor: Get out.
Nicole: Victor! Where are your manners? And to think there would come a day when a guest in your home couldn't even get a drink. Either you get it or I do. You don't want me messing around in your kitchen, do you? Oh, Henderson, this is Pooky's bag. It needs to be cleaned, and Pooky needs to be fed. Could you see to it, please? [Chuckles] Oh, it is so good to be home... although I am surprised at the guest list at your latest shindig. You, in particular. First of all, the face looks great. You can hardly see the scars. But are you and Victor no longer on the outs?
Philip: Nicole, please. Wait. Are the two of you -- where is Brady?
Victor: All right. That's enough.
Nicole: Oh, thanks, love. [Chuckles] Mmm. Oh, you always make a spectacular cocktail. Could you hit me again and just, this time, add a smidge more vodka?
Kate: So, Nicole, what are you doing here?
Nicole: I'm back. I couldn't stay away. After all, Salem's always been my home.
Chelsea: Come here.
Victor: Get out or I'll have you thrown out.
Nicole: You would do something like that to your own wife? What will people think? Ooh. Cheers.
Victor: "Wife"? What the hell are you talking about?
Nicole: I can't believe you've forgotten. It was a lovely ceremony, New Year's Eve, I think. Although I do recall someone ended up dead...or so we thought. Colin -- wasn't it?
Victor: And I still think you killed him or tried to, much as you did to me.
Nicole: Desperate times, you know? Although correct me if I'm wrong. We've both been through this before, so we know how it works. I don't recall signing any divorce papers.
Victor: Nicole, you are playing with fire.
Nicole: That's okay. I've always loved hot things. Hello. I don't believe we've met. I'm Nicole Kiriakis.
Nicole: Hello, my darling step-granddaughter. I don't seem old enough, do I?
Victor: That's it. Get out or I swear I --
Kate: Victor, calm down. Calm down.
Chelsea: So, you know how I told you about my Grandma and my Grandpa and their son and her husband, Brady?
Daniel: Gotcha. Keep rolling.
Chelsea: Okay. Well, this one over here -- Nicole -- she used to be married to my Grandpa. Well, actually, I guess she still kind of is. It's very "real housewives of orange county."
Daniel: She seems like a real charmer.
Chelsea: Yeah, if "charming" you mean like a snake. My Grandma actually says that her favorite pastime is marrying men for money, so...
Daniel: Well, at least she's good at what she does.
Kate: What could she possibly be thinking, coming here like this?
Victor: Who knows with Nicole? She's always got something in that devious, little mind of hers.
Kate: Yeah. Well, couldn't you have her arrested or something?
Victor: Or something.
Nicole: Mm. Feeling better, sweetie?
Victor: I will once you get the hell out of here.
Nicole: Not a chance.
Victor: I will remind you one more time. You tried to kill me.
Nicole: And I'm so glad I didn't succeed, because if you died, who would take me in?
Victor: Why don't you just leave while you're ahead?
Nicole: I'm so little. You'll hardly even know I'm here. I need a place to stay, and there's no place like the cozy casa Kiriakis. Ch-ch-ch.
Stephanie: [Chuckles] Mmm.
Max: You know, I'll never go back to school. I guess we all have our place in life. Right now I'm totally cool with running the pub and taking care of Ma for you. I just really want to find something else, you know, because... I really want to take care of Stephanie, too.
Max: Isn't there supposed to be some big celebration tonight?
Stephanie: For what?
Max: For Nick for getting his grant.
Stephanie: Oh, no. We're gonna wait till Chelsea gets better. That way, she can help celebrate. Her nurses weren't about to let her, you know, hit the clubs.
Max: Well, I'm sure she's enjoying the life at the Kiriakis mansion.
Stephanie: What's there not to enjoy? I mean, someone waiting on you hand and foot, a personal chef.
Max: A personal chef?
Stephanie: Well, it's their regular chef, but, still...
Max: You know, I think Chelsea needs you to move in with her, you know, to help with her recovery. Without her best friend in the other room getting the same first-class treatment, how's she supposed to recover?
Stephanie: Hmm. The lap of luxury or being right here with you? I'm actually gonna choose door number 2.
Stephanie: Any day.
Max: Hmm. Well, how about this one? The theta sisters are having a big party, and they're cruising a lot of clubs. Wouldn't you rather be hanging out with them?
Stephanie: Nope. Just like I said, I like it right where I am.
Steve: Follow my lead.
Ava: Okay. Oh, God. Enough, enough, enough, enough, enough of the reunion, lovebirds. Uhh. I have to say, it wasn't quite as passionate as I had expected. Stop touching him.
Hope: Sorry to disappoint you... but hostage situations just don't do it for me.
Ava: Such hostility. Although I'll tell you, if he were my man, I would take every chance I got... and he would never forget that I loved him.
Steve: Come on, Ava. Don't worry about it, okay?
Ava: So, here we all are.
Steve: [Exhales deeply] Yeah. Here we all are. And you were always good with the planning. What happens next?
Ava: Oh, I don't know. Patch, why don't you tell me?
Steve: I'd be happy to. You got me. I'm yours. Now you can let her go.
Max: Look, I appreciate that you don't mind hanging out down here.
Stephanie: There's no place I'd rather be.
Max: I know, but you say that now, and...
Stephanie: I can't imagine ever feeling any different. Look, if I were out with Morgan and the other girls, you know what I'd be doing?
Stephanie: Thinking about you.
Max: They really must not be that much fun.
Stephanie: Shut up. I'm being serious. It's the truth, but I can tell you don't believe me.
Max: Look, the last couple of weeks without you around, I don't know how I would have made it.
Stephanie: And I'm not going anywhere.
Max: You sure? Because I way I see it, I'm stuck here and you're just moving on up.
Stephanie: No. Whichever direction we're moving, we're moving there together.
Steve: Okay, Ava. What's it gonna be? I'm the one you want, right?
Ava: Yeah, of course.
Steve: Well, then you can let Kayla go.
Ava: No. No, can't do that.
Hope: Why not?
Ava: Well -- well, look, she's not just gonna forget about you, right? She's married to you. She's got your little bun in the oven.
Hope: What if I said I would? I'll let him go.
Ava: I wouldn't believe you, because you'd go straight to the cops and you'd bring them back here and then you'd just take Patch from me again.
Hope: Ava, how could I do that? Think about it. I don't even know where I am.
Ava: No. No, no, no, no. I'm gonna get in trouble. No. This isn't gonna work.
Steve: She's making sense, Ava.
Ava: She is?
Steve: Yeah. Come on, babe. Let her go.
Victor: All right. How much do you want? I'll get my checkbook.
Nicole: It's not about the money.
Victor: Nicole, with you, it's always about the money.
Nicole: Well, you're wrong. Sometimes -- this time -- it's not about the money. Sometimes a girl just needs a place to get away from it all, rest her weary head.
Victor: Good Lord. What have you done now?
Nicole: What do you mean? I haven't done anything except come back to my home here in Salem.
Victor: Are the police involved?
Nicole: No! So, Vic [Chuckles] Unless you want to share...
Victor: I can't think of anything more revolting.
Nicole: Then I suggest you have Henderson get my room ready and bring my bags up.
Victor: Step outside. I'd like to discuss this in private.
Nicole: All right. Excuse us.
Kate: [Chuckles] I can't believe the tramp is back.
Philip: She tried to kill my Father. What the hell is she thinking just walking back in here?
Chloe: Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse, Nicole walks in and really ups the misery.
Daniel: Still, she is pretty hot.
Kate: Oh, Daniel, a word of advice. You're young. You're intelligent. I'm sure you have a hefty bank account, right?
Daniel: Don't forget my impeccable style.
Kate: Okay. Listen, I would stay as far away from Nicole as you possibly can.
Daniel: She's that bad, is she?
Kate: No. She's worse.
Chloe: [Sighs] This is such a nightmare.
Philip: I know this isn't too much fun for you.
Chloe: You think? I can never forgive Nicole for what she did to try to keep me away from Brady.
Philip: But it didn't work, did it?
Chloe: No, in the end, it didn't, but the things she did were so cruel.
Philip: Look, Nicole doesn't care who she hurts as long as she gets what she wants or who she wants.
Chloe: Victor cannot let her move in.
Philip: He may not have a lot of choice in the matter.
Chloe: It's his house.
Philip: Yeah, but [Sighs] How are you gonna feel if we get another roommate in here?
Chloe: Like I need to find a new place to live.
Philip: That makes two of us.
Chelsea: So, aren't you glad you stayed for dinner?
Kate: Oh, yeah. Dinner was delicious. Cook is a master. But Nicole I could have done without for the rest of my life.
Daniel: She's a rough firecracker. It must run in the family.
Chelsea: Well, if you're referring to me, thank you for the compliment, I guess, but you could have skipped the comparison.
Chelsea: She actually tried to kill my Grandpa Victor. At least that's the gossip, right?
Kate: Well, it's not exactly gossip. It's the truth. It would have happened if the DiMeras didn't have other plans.
Chelsea: Wasn't she also married to Uncle Lucas at one point?
Kate: Yeah, unfortunately she was, and I played a part in that one.
Chelsea: You did?
Kate: Yes, I did. I had run out of options. Come on. Everyone knows I'm not a saint. I've done things that I'm not proud of. But everything that I've done I've done for my children and my grandchildren.
Daniel: Mama wolf. Not to be messed with. I've seen it in action.
Kate: Yeah. That's right. Everything Nicole does, though, she does just for herself. You are looking tired. I think it's been too much excitement for you, young lady.
Chelsea: No. I'm gonna wait around for grandpa Victor and Nicole to get back, because I want to see what happens with that.
Kate: Really? Well, I think someone can tell you about that. Come on, I'll walk you upstairs to your room. Doctor?
Daniel: Uh, yeah. She's back on the prowl here, so you better go.
Chelsea: [Sighs] Fine. But I expect a report from you guys. Good night, everybody. And good night, Daniel.
Daniel: Good night. Get some rest.
Chelsea: Thank you.
Max: I'm just -- I'm not sure.
Stephanie: Not sure about what?
Max: About our direction. I don't want to -- damn it.
Rusty: Well, what have we here?
Max: Nothing, Rusty. I was just taking a little break.
Rusty: Yeah, I can see that. You've been sitting here having your little tea party for a while now. Those boxes are not gonna load themselves.
Max: I know.
Rusty: Just get back to work.
Stephanie: What a jerk.
Max: Yeah, well, he's my boss. He's just doing his job.
Stephanie: He doesn't have to be so rude about it.
Max: He's probably tired of us grunts just screwing around.
Stephanie: You are not a grunt.
Max: Down here on the docks, yes, I am. I'm grunt number 3, in fact, and my dream job is grunt number 1.
Stephanie: I told you to stop talking about yourself that way. Come on. I mean... the only reason why you're down here is because of me. And I'm never gonna forget that.
Max: So you feel like you owe me, huh?
Stephanie: Yeah, I do owe you big-time. Wait a second. Is that why you think I'm down here? Oh, come on. You really think of me that way?
Max: No, I don't. I just -- [Sighs] Look... I just don't want you to feel like you're wasting your time, or I don't want you to feel like you're missing out on something.
Stephanie: Not gonna happen.
Max: Okay, well, fine. I just -- I don't want you to come down here anymore.
Ava: Mnh-mnh. Mnh-mnh. This is a trap. I can feel it.
Steve: No. Come on, Ava. I don't want to hurt you.
Ava: You don't want to hurt me? You destroyed me. Everything I've done, I've done for you. Stop being so condescending, 'cause it's getting really irritating.
Steve: That's not what I'm doing. Now, look. I'm here. You've got me. You can let her go.
Ava: No. No, no. No. I can't. I can't just trust you so easily.
Steve: Yes, you can.
Ava: No, I -- you broke my heart.
Hope: Okay, just wait a second, 'cause this doesn't make sense. You want a relationship with him but you don't trust him?
Ava: Well, did you trust him when you first met him?
Hope: No. But I do now. He's a good man.
Ava: Oh, wrong answer. You see, because trust is something you earn.
Hope: That's true.
Ava: You know what? We're gonna start right now. You can prove it to me. Prove that I can trust you. And the little lady -- she's not going anywhere.
Kate: Well, you seemed happy tonight. And as much as you deny it, I've noticed that every time Daniel's around, there is a certain twinkle in your eye.
Chelsea: You know what? I have to tell you that I am glad he came tonight... but not for the reason that you think.
Kate: Oh, really? Then why?
Chelsea: I don't know. I like having a distraction around, I guess. I'm still worried about Dad.
Kate: I know you are, honey. Listen, I'll tell you what. Why don't I swing by tomorrow and I will take you to see your dad?
Chelsea: That would be absolutely fantastic, if you're not too busy.
Kate: I do have meetings in the morning, but you know I always have time for you.
Chelsea: Thank you.
Kate: You're welcome.
Chelsea: So, I guess the real distraction of the night was the surprise visitor, huh?
Kate: I can't believe that tramp is back. [Chuckles] But I have to say the look on your grandfather's face was absolutely priceless. I shouldn't laugh, but --
Chelsea: No, you shouldn't. It wasn't funny.
Kate: Oh, come on. He brought that all on himself. That's what happens when you don't think with your head.
Kate: What? It's true.
Chelsea: Do you really think she's gonna stick around???
Kate: Oh, yeah. Yeah, I do. And I think, before she's through, she's going to make Victor's life a living hell.
Victor: What the hell are you thinking, Nicole?
Nicole: I'm thinking I need a place to stay. You have a nice, big house, plenty of bedrooms.
Victor: You're broke, aren't you?
Nicole: Who are you kidding? My husband is a very rich man.
Victor: And don't think you're gonna get a penny of that money.
Nicole: Oh, I don't think. I know.
Victor: Nicole, you tried to kill me. There's not a judge in the world that would give you a red cent.
Nicole: Oh, don't be so sure. I talked to a very knowledgeable attorney, and he thinks I might be due a sweet, little settlement.
Victor: Oh, really? And how many times did you have to sleep with him before he told you that? Now, now, Nicole, claws in.
Nicole: You may not like it, Victor, but I have my rights. We are still married.
Victor: It doesn't mean I have to put you up and pay your liquor bills.
Nicole: Nevertheless, here I am. Zinfandel. Tasty. I prefer the Moutonne.
Victor: You deserve rotgut.
Nicole: I'm not going anywhere, Victor. Get used to it.
Victor: We'll see about that. I'll have my attorneys look into it first thing tomorrow.
Nicole: Please do. In the meantime, be a dear and have Henderson unpack my bags, draw me a bath. Traveling is such a chore.
Victor: Yeah? Well, get used to it. And if I were you, I wouldn't unpack my bags just yet.
Steve: Ava... listen to me. [Echoing] There's no reason to keep Kayla here. Now, come on. This will be our first step toward trust. I guarantee you... [Distorted echoing] She's smart. She doesn't want to get hurt. [Distorted echoing]
Ava: Shut up!
Hope: Ava... I'm pregnant. I really shouldn't be under this kind of stress.
Ava: Quiet. Quiet. I have to stop these headaches, because if I could stop them -- I got to stop them before they get bad. I get these migraines, you know, and, um, the doctor just can't figure out why. I never had them before.
Steve: It's tough, Ava. I'm really sorry.
Ava: Yeah, and you should be, because it's your fault. And that's why you have to pay.
Stephanie: What do you mean, I can't come down here anymore?
Max: Don't get me wrong. It means a lot to me.
Stephanie: Then what's the problem?
Max: This place isn't exactly what you would call safe.
Stephanie: Max, I used to race. I hung out in the pits, okay? The guys considered hitting themselves over the head with beer cans a hobby.
Max: I know. I used to be one of those guys. Not so much with the beer cans, but, still...
Stephanie: So I think I can handle a bunch of tough-talking dockworkers.
Max: I know you can handle it. That is not the point.
Stephanie: Then what is the point? I want to see you, and this is where you are.
Max: Yeah, well -- look, yeah, this is where I am. It's not who I am. It's not who I want to be.
Stephanie: We already went through this. You were doing this for me, and I can't --
Max: I would do anything for you. Can you do something for me?
Daniel: So Nicole really is the one who killed Victor?
Philip: She is.
Daniel: It hit my dad pretty hard. He was thrilled when Victor showed up alive.
Philip: Yeah, well, I guess it's a little surprising when someone comes back from the dead.
Daniel: I'll bet even more surprising for Nicole.
Chloe: She made a lot of enemies in Salem. I can't believe she'd even show her face here again.
Philip: I just can't wait to figure out why.
Daniel: From what I can see, things are gonna get interesting. [Blows] All right. Well, I got to call it a night. Big day tomorrow. And thank your dad for the hospitality.
Philip: Thank you.
Daniel: For what?
Philip: I never did get a chance to thank you for saving my brother's life.
Daniel: Well, just, uh, doing my thing.
Stephanie: You know, I feel the same way. I'd do anything for you.
Max: Okay, well, then do this for me, okay? I don't want to see you down here anymore. I love seeing you. I do, all right? I do. [Smooching] But I just don't want to see you down around here.
Stephanie: Are you getting guff from the other guys because your girlfriend's coming to visit you at work?
Max: I can handle them.
Stephanie: Are you sure about that?
Stephanie: Oh! I don't get it. I really don't. But if that's what you want...
Max: It is.
Stephanie: Your wish is my command.
Max: Thank you.
Stephanie: Mm-hmm. But you're not gonna ban me from visiting you at the pub, are you?
Max: Uh, no, 'cause I don't think I can keep you away from there.
Stephanie: Good point. Well, then, expect to be seeing a lot of me, because I am going to be hitting that clam chowder pretty hard.
Max: Well, bring it on.
Steve: Ava, listen. I want to fix this. I didn't mean to hurt you.
Ava: You left me at the altar. I was hurt -- very badly.
Steve: I know. But I didn't know what I was doing then. I was really messed up at the time.
Ava: I don't believe you.
Steve: How can I prove it?
Ava: Well... you can start by having dinner with me tonight. Just the two of us. [Chuckles]
Ava: Oh, God, I want to talk about us. Do you remember us?
Steve: I do. And what about Kayla?
Ava: Us! Okay? Us! Two is company. Look, besides, you said that you couldn't be under any more stress, right?
Hope: Right. It's bad for the baby.
Ava: Right. You should really -- you should just go, and you should rest. Wow. Your stomach is really flat. How far along did you say you were? When are you due?
Hope: I'm about 12 weeks along.
Ava: Really? And you're not showing yet?
Hope: Just lucky, I guess.
Ava: Well, congratulations. You must be having a little girl... 'cause they say that you start showing later with girls. At least that's what they say in my family.
Hope: I-I've heard the same thing.
Ava: When Patch and I were planning on having a baby, I read up on all of that stuff -- prenatal vitamins and morning sickness. God, I was not looking forward to that morning sickness... but I was willing to do it... for Patch.
Hope: You didn't have children?
Ava: I only wanted one with him. Are you over the morning sickness yet?
Hope: I never really had any.
Ava: Really? No morning sickness, not showing? Are you sure she's pregnant?
Steve: I was there when they did the sonogram thing. I saw the pictures and everything.
Ava: Okay, well, then we should have you checked out by a doctor. I mean, we want to make sure that the baby's healthy. We can't be too careful.
Hope: No, really, it's -- it's not necessary.
Ava: No, no, no. It's fine, really. I mean, it's no trouble. I insist. He makes house calls.
Chelsea: Well, Nick agreed to help me with calculus, which he's been doing, so that's taken care of.
Kate: Good. Good. What about English lit? Oh!
Chelsea: I might be a little bit behind on my reading. "Paradise Lost" -- it's not my thing.
Kate: Honey, you know you have to give it a chance. You know that.
[Knock on door]
Chelsea: Come in.
Daniel: I'm sorry. I don't mean to disturb.
Kate: Oh. You're not. I was just going to leave, as a matter of fact.
Daniel: Don't let me run you off.
Kate: Oh, you're not. Good night, Chelsea.
Chelsea: Good night.
Kate: [Smooches] Good night, Daniel. Take good care of our girl.
Chelsea: So... is this is an official visit? Am I gonna be poked and prodded and -- that didn't sound good, did it?
Daniel: Well, let's call it semiofficial. I just want to make sure that you're really doing okay.
Chelsea: Yeah. I'm fine. I mean, aside from the getting tired kind of easily, I have no complaints.
Daniel: It's just your body healing. It doesn't want to do too much.
Daniel: Still, I want you to swing by the hospital in the next couple of days, just for a checkup. In fact, I want regular visits, at least until you're sick of seeing me.
Chelsea: Yeah. I-I can handle that, I think.
Chelsea: So, how's my Dad?
Daniel: He's doing pretty good, yeah, thanks to you.
Chelsea: Oh, that was nothing. It was just a little gland.
Daniel: "Just a little gland."
Daniel: Anyway, I need to take off, all right? I just wanted to say good night.
Chelsea: Okay. Uh, good night.
Daniel: Be good.
Chelsea: I'll try.
Hope: No, I'm fine. No doctors. Besides, you said you were big on trust, and I only trust my own doctor.
Ava: Are you sure?
Hope: I'm positive.
Ava: Okay, 'cause I don't want to get blamed if something happened to that baby.
Hope: Well, no promises.
Ava: Well, you don't seem real upset that I'm gonna have dinner with your husband tonight.
Hope: Well, I'm not in much of a position to argue now, am I?
Ava: No. You're not. But, still...
Hope: But, still... you want to know how I feel about it? I'm angry about all of this. But, you see, I'm not gonna let you see that.
Ava: Oh. Oh, that's how you play it, huh? You cover your emotions. It's so not my strong suit.
Hope: No kidding.
Ava: Hmm. That's interesting. Hey. Angelo, get in here! Do me a favor and take our little lady friend here on into another room. Me and Patch are gonna have dinner tonight in here.
Angelo: You sure you want to do this?
Ava: Don't question me.
Angelo: Come on, lady. Let's go. [Door closes]
Ava: [Exhales deeply] Alone at last.
Hope: What's the matter with her? She's obviously very smart... beautiful. How long has she been like this?
Angelo: Since that man in there dumped her. You see, it's your husband's fault that Ava is the way she is. See, if I had my way, I would have killed him the moment he walked in the room. The only reason that he's alive is because of Ava's good graces. So you stay on her good side or bad things will happen to your man in there. Let's go.
Max: So, uh, we're good, right?
Stephanie: Yeah. We are. I want you to do something.
Max: What's that?
Stephanie: I am very proud of you for what you're doing here.
Max: You're proud of your grimy dockworker?
Stephanie: You're helping people...just like you helped me. Like I said, you're my hero.
Max: Hero, huh? That's a lot to live up to.
Stephanie: I think you can handle it.
Max: Oh. [Cellphone ringing]
Stephanie: Sorry about that.
Stephanie: Hello? I'll be right there. That was the hospital. They just admitted my Mom as a patient. I have to go.
Chloe: What do you think Victor and Nicole are talking about?
Kate: I'm sure they're not reliving old times.
Philip: Hopefully my Dad is figuring out a way to put her back out on the streets.
Kate: Where she belongs. Hmm?
Philip: Mm-hmm. Well?
Nicole: Tell them the good news, why don't you, Vic?
Victor: [Sighs] It seems Nicole will be staying with us, at least until my attorneys can have her removed from the property.
Chloe: You've got to be kidding me.
Nicole: Such a reception. Chloe, I was really hoping you and I could be best girlfriends.
Kate: Ah. If only you knew the meaning of the word. Victor, I should go. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Philip. Chloe.
Philip: Good night, Mom.
Nicole: It's such a relief to see that some things in Salem haven't changed, like bitter, angry Kate.
Victor: Nicole, you may stay, but you may not insult my guests.
Nicole: Oh, but they can insult me? It doesn't seem quite fair.
Victor: You may have won this round, but the battle is far from over.
