Caroline: Why haven't we heard from them yet?
Roman: The transport planes got to Salem just a half an hour ago.
Abe: We cut through as much red tape as we could with Homeland Security and Customs, but it's still hard to get back in the country.
Lexie: The ambulances are on their way.
Sami: Dad, Dad, what's going on? Is mom okay?
Roman: Relax, Sami. Just take it easy. Everybody's on their way here now.
Lexie: There were EMTs at the rescue site. If anyone had been seriously injured, they never would have been cleared to fly back here. Ah, that should be the first of them now. Keep the staff on standby, but I'm not anticipating any emergencies.
Shawn D.: Hey, Grandma.
Caroline: Oh, my God. Oh, thank God you're safe.
Claire: Hi, great grandma. It's so good to be home.
Lexie: Look, I want you all to get checked out, okay?
Shawn D.: We will.
Victor: Where are the others? Why aren't they here yet?
Shawn D.: They should be right behind us.
Caroline: I can't wait to see the rest of my family. Oh, God. Oh, my God.
Lexie: Who are they?
Victor: Who are they?
Shawn D.: Those are the pilots.
Lexie: Oh, my God. Claire, sweetheart, why don't you go with this nice nurse to be examined, okay?
Claire: But they already did.
Shawn D.: Yeah, we had her checked out before we left Greenland.
Belle: Then why don't you go with Nurse Marcie down to the cafeteria and get some ice cream? You remember Marcie, right, from my nursing class?
Marcie: Yes, I remember Claire. You'd visit me while I was teaching. You know what I would like? I'd like to take a break and have a snack with my friend Claire. What do you say?
Shawn D.: Yay.
Belle: Thank you. We'll be down in a little while.
Lexie: Would you take the bodies to the morgue, please?
Roman: Shawn. What happened to them?
Shawn D.: They died when the plane lost air.
Roman: Do you have any idea what caused the crash?
Shawn D.: It sure as hell wasn't an accident. The pilots' water had been drugged and all the flight controls had been tampered with.
Victor: Philip. Thank God. We're gonna get to the bottom of this, son. I promise.
Kate: Philip. Oh, baby. I heard you were coming in, and I kept on calling. God, is everyone all right?
Philip: It's good to be home. I can tell you that.
Kate: It's good to have you home. What happened to you?
Philip: I broke my leg. Fortunately, it was my prosthetic one. It's a good thing it was. It got stuck pretty bad in the wreckage. I managed to get it out, but it's a mess. I guess in a perverse way I was lucky.
Kate: Thank God.
Victor: Here, let's sit down. I want to hear everything about what went on up there.
Roman: I do, too.
Chelsea: I just don't get how any of this could have happened.
Stephanie: I'm just glad my grandpa got to see his sister before she died.
Caroline: Yeah, so am I, except I'm afraid that the shock of finding his sister and then losing her so soon might not have hit him. You know what I mean? I think...I think Shawn and I should get away for a little while.
Max: Yeah, I think that's a good idea.
Shawn D.: Grandma.
Shawn D.: I need to tell you something.
Sami: Mom! Mom, oh, thank God you're -- okay, what happened to your arm? Are you okay?
Marlena: I'm all right. I dislocated my shoulder in the crash, but it's okay. John was able to snap it back into place.
Marlena: In fact, John and Steve landed the plane. If they hadn't done that, I'm not sure any of us would be here right now.
Abe: Well, we're gonna want to hear all the details.
John: All I know is someone owes me a jet.
Marlena: Caroline, I am so sorry.
Caroline: You must be very relieved to be back, and I am so glad you're home safe.
Shawn D.: Grandma, I --
Caroline: I know, I know. You know, when Shawn gets here, we're all gonna go back to the pub, have a good hot breakfast.
Chelsea: Lexie, Lexie, how long until they get here?
Lexie: I'll check again.
Chelsea: I'm just not gonna feel better until I see everybody's faces.
Stephanie: I know exactly how you feel. I wonder why my mom and dad aren't here yet.
Kayla: Stephanie. Stephanie, baby. Oh, baby.
Steve: Hi, baby girl.
Stephanie: What happened? Are you okay?
Steve: Yeah, just a couple cracked ribs. Careful. I'll be all right. No big deal.
Lexie: I want you two in cubicles right away.
Steve: No, no, I'm fine.
Lexie: Don't fight me on this, Steve. Hey, you either. Kayla, your doctor's on the way, okay?
Kayla: Thank you.
Stephanie: Are you positive that's the only thing wrong with him?
Kayla: I promise. I promise.
Caroline: I'm so glad you're home. I'm so glad.
Kayla: I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
Caroline: Why do people keep saying that?
Kayla: I --
Caroline: Oh, my God. What's wrong with Bo? Is this what you didn't want me to know?
Roman: Hope, what's wrong with him?
Chelsea: Was he injured in the crash?
Hope: No. It didn't happen in the crash.
Lexie: Get him to a cubicle stat. You, too, Kayla.
Kayla: I need to talk to my mom.
Lexie: Okay, listen to me -- if this is about Bo, I'll tell her, okay? You need to take care of yourself.
Kayla: I know, but I just need to talk to my mom.
Steve: Come on, sweetness. You need to come get checked out.
Stephanie: Go, Mom.
Hope: It's okay.
Lexie: Kayla, please.
Caroline: What's wrong with Bo?
Hope: He's sick.
Caroline: How sick? What's wrong with him?
Lexie: We don't know yet. Some abnormalities showed up in his blood work.
Caroline: Well, why didn't anybody tell me?
Hope: I didn't know, either.
Lexie: We didn't want anyone to panic until we knew exactly what it was we were dealing with.
Chelsea: What is it that you think you're dealing with?
Lexie: As I said, we're not sure yet, but now that he's back, we will immediately start extensive testing.
Hope: I'm gonna go check on Bo. Caroline.
Hope: Sorry you had -- you had to find out like this.
Caroline: It's all right. Marlena.
Marlena: He's so strong. And as soon as he is fully diagnosed, they will begin treatment.
Caroline: What do they think he has?
Marlena: It's just too soon to tell.
Caroline: Well, I'm just gonna stay here with my son and Hope.
Shawn D.: Grandma.
Shawn D.: There's something else that you need to know.
Marlena: Caroline, we canít...keep this from you any longer.
Caroline: Oh, if this has more to do with Bo, please, I don't want to hear it till Shawn gets here.
Marlena: Caroline, it's about -- Caroline, it's Ė
Caroline: Where is he, for heaven sakes? Why -- well, why didn't he get off the plane with the rest... oh, no.
Sami: No, no.
Caroline: [Sobbing] Oh, my God.
Caroline: He said everybody would come home.
Roman: Shawn... is that pop?
Shawn D.: I'm sorry, Uncle Roman. I wanted to tell you and grandma earlier, but everybody kept walking in and my dad being sick --
Roman: What happened?
Caroline: Was it his heart?
Shawn D.: No, grandma, it wasn't his heart.
Belle: Well, in a way, it kind of was.
Caroline: I don't understand.
Philip: He died a hero.
Max: Tell us.
Shawn D.: I wasn't with grandpa. He didn't want Belle and me to know what was going on. But my parents and Kayla were there.
Caroline: Go on. Go on.
Shawn D.: Are you sure? This might be too painful, grandma.
Caroline: Please, Shawn, tell us. Tell us.
Roman: Go ahead.
Shawn D.: The plane was sabotaged. There was a small hole in the fuselage and we lost cabin pressure.
Belle: It was freezing, and nobody could breathe.
Shawn D.: Then the masks fell. My dad knew that he was sick, so he insisted on giving up his oxygen. He wouldn't take it, and so he passed out. And so grandpa and mom put the mask on him so he could continue to breathe. Then mom tried to give grandpa the mask, and he refused to take it. He knew that there wasn't enough oxygen on the plane for us all to survive, so my mom and Kayla tried to force it on him, but he refused and...he died so that his family could live.
Caroline: Oh, Shawn. I want to see him.
Roman: No, Ma.
Caroline: No, please, I want to see him.
Roman: Ma, I don't think so.
Caroline: Darling, please. Please.
Roman: Okay. Okay.
Nurse: Okay, you can get your shirt back on. Dr. Carver will be in to see you. Try not to put any pressure on those ribs, okay?
Steve: You got it.
Kayla: I don't want anybody to know about this, that I've been having a lot of spotting and cramping.
Nurse: You've been under a lot of stress.
Kayla: Do you think I'm gonna lose the baby?
Bo: Is all this necessary?
Nurse: Dr. Carver wants to make sure that you're stable, then she'll have you moved up to a room.
Hope: Just be patient, okay?
Bo: Well, this is --
Hope: Be patient, please, Bo.
Lexie: Hey. Well, I'm afraid you are in for a long stay and a lot of tests.
Hope: What? What is it? What's wrong? Is there something you're not telling us?
Lexie: Caroline. They just brought your father's body in.
Bo: I got to go be with ma.
Lexie: No, she's in good hands.
Hope: You need to let Lexie do everything she can so you can get well. Bo, please. She understands.
Lexie: Okay. Tell me what symptoms you've been having.
Bo: Just, uh...kind of nauseous and achy. My lower back hurts. And, uh...you know, it just reminded me of my half sister Isabella dying of pancreatic cancer.
Lexie: Bo, it could be a lot of things. Let's not jump to conclusions, okay?
Hope: I'm not gonna lose you.
Bo: Damn right you're not.
Stephanie: Where do you think you're going?
Steve: Listen, your mama needs me.
Stephanie: Mom wasn't hurt.
Steve: I know, but she's pregnant, and I'm afraid she might lose the baby.
Stephanie: Mom's pregnant?
Steve: Shh. Come here. This isn't the way I wanted you to find out, but I overheard the doctor talking and I freaked out a little bit.
Stephanie: You know when I freaked? When I started thinking you and mom were dead.
Steve: You know I'd never let that happen, baby.
Stephanie: You were in a plane crash. Everyone on that plane could have died. I was really scared for you.
Steve: I know. We were all scared.
Stephanie: Are you sure you're gonna be okay?
Steve: I'm gonna be fine.
Stephanie: And mom?
Steve: She's gonna be fine, too, especially since we're gonna make her spend the whole pregnancy in bed. Now, what do you want -- a little brother or a little sister?
Stephanie: It doesn't matter. I am just happy to have you both home safe and with me.
Steve: Me too, baby. Ohh, ohh, ohh.
Stephanie: I'm sorry. I can't help it.
Steve: Watch the ribs. Okay. Okay.
Roman: Come on. Come on.
Caroline: No, please.
Victor: Caroline, please.
Caroline: No, no. Please just let me be. Let me be.
Caroline: Oh, Maggie. [Sobbing] It's not fair, you know? It's not right. Should have had a lot more years together.
Maggie: I am so, so sorry.
Caroline: Yeah. I can't let him go. I can-- I canít.
Maggie: Oh, honey.
Marlena: There was a time... when you thought that woman was your mother. Can you find it in your heart to offer her a few words of comfort?
John: They tell me that for a while I thought that you and this man were my parents. I don't remember that. But from what I saw of him and what he did...I truly wish that he had been my father.
Caroline: Thank you, John. That means a lot.
Roman: Ma, Ma...you really should let Maggie take you back to the pub.
Caroline: No, I'm not leaving here till I know that my family is all right.
Lexie: Caroline, hey, hey. No one is in any danger, okay? Bo is being tested, and Kayla is with her doctor.
Caroline: What's the matter with Kayla?
Lexie: Oh, no. Nothing, nothing. She's just being examined. There's nothing to worry about.
Maggie: Caroline, you're in shock, and you have to process this. I'll stay with you.
Roman: And, Ma, I promise, we will all come over as soon as we're done here, okay?
Caroline: Yes, I should go to the pub.
Caroline: There's a lot of things to do, you know. Arrangements to make.
Maggie: And you'll do them. You'll do them, but right now, you need to deal with your loss, and you have to give yourself some time to grieve.
Caroline: Right. Goodbye...sweet Shawn.
Maggie: Come on.
Kate: Victor, donít.
Lexie: Take him to the morgue.
Chelsea: So, do they know what's wrong?
Bo: No, not yet.
Chelsea: Do they have any idea what it could be or how serious it is?
Hope: Well, hopefully the tests will tell us it can be treated quickly, honey.
Chelsea: How long have you been sick?
Bo: Oh [Clears throat] before we took off for Ireland, we went in to get a physical for work, and they weren't too happy with the results of the blood tests.
Chelsea: Are you in any pain or anything?
Bo: Uh, my back's a little bit sore, but kind of figure that's from the beds we were in, in Ireland. Oh, what, were they made out of straw or something? And we took this plane flight, had kind of a bumpy landing. [Chuckles] I think I just need one of Hope's famous back rubs.
Hope: I'll tell you what -- you get a clean bill of health and get the hell out of this place and I'll give you one every night for the rest of your life. That's what you have to look forward to.
Bo: You got a deal.
Chelsea: You guys are acting way too calm. It's a lot worse than you're telling me, isn't it?
Nurse: Everything looks fine, Kay. I'm gonna go see if your room is ready.
Kayla: Thank you.
Nurse: Of course.
Steve: I'd feel a lot better if I could see her for myself.
Stephanie: And you can. Just wait till Dr. Lexie sees you, okay?
Steve: You're just like your mama, aren't you?
Stephanie: A little. [Chuckles] I'm gonna go check on her, okay? I love you.
Steve: I love you, too.
Kayla: Hey, baby. Were you with your pop?
Stephanie: Dad told me you're gonna have a baby.
Kayla: I hope you're as happy about it as we are.
Stephanie: Happier. Look, no more adventures, okay?
Kayla: Okay. All right. I'll try not to, okay?
Stephanie: Promise me.
Kayla: I love you.
Stephanie: I love you.
Marlena: I'm sorry about grandpa.
Sami: I just can't believe that he's gone.
Marlena: I know. I can't believe that your father's organization didn't have something to do with it.
E.J.: Well, if he did... I'll find out.
Marlena: I believe you. You know why? Because you broke with your father and told me that John was alive. So for that, you get very high marks with me. Sami, you should be home with your babies, honey.
Sami: I want to wait and make sure that you get checked out, Mom. No, Mom. I'm not gonna let you argue with me about it. I'm waiting.
E.J.: Why don't we get you a bit of breakfast, okay, while you wait?
Sami: I'm not hungry.
E.J.: Samantha, you have two kids at home who need a mother that's well, not sick. Let's get some food.
Sami: Mom, I'll bring you back something, okay?
Lexie: Excuse me. I would really like the four of you to get checked out just to make sure there aren't any hidden injuries. Claire, too. I know she's already been examined, but I'd feel much better if she were examined here.
Belle: Okay. Thanks.
Philip: I'm gonna drop in on the prosthetics department.
Shawn D.: All right. Well, we'll come back here before we leave, all right?
Belle: Yeah. Bye.
Victor: Not so fast. I want a word with you about my grandson Brady and what you know about his disappearance.
Victor: I'm waiting. What do you know about Brady's disappearance you haven't already told us?
Chloe: I've already told you and the police everything that I know.
Victor: You're lying.
Philip: I believe her.
Victor: You're being naive.
Chloe: I love Brady. I want him found just as much as you do.
Victor: I somehow doubt that.
Philip: There is no evidence Chloe had anything to do with his kidnapping.
Victor: I have got contacts all over this world, both inside and outside of the law, and not one -- not one has any idea where my grandson is. Brady didn't just disappear, Philip. Someone is holding him somewhere. And I swear to you on my family, whoever it is that's done whatever to him, they will pay. If they've hurt him or worse, they will be, too.
Chloe: I didn't do anything.
Kate: So, do you think she has her sights set on Philip now?
Victor: Wouldn't surprise me.
Kate: I think I know what she's after. Probably the same thing she's been after all along -- your money.
Victor: It's your son that we're talking about. Do you have any interest at all in trying to find him?
John: I don't know him. But, yes, I'm curious. It's not all that easy to just disappear.
Victor: No, it isnít.
John: It was your daughter I was married to when we had that kid, Brady, wasn't it?
Victor: Yes, it was. She loved you very much.
John: Yeah, so I've been told. So does blondie. Probably one or two others. So, you were my father-in-law. Did we get along?
Victor: Not always. But after Isabella died, we put our differences aside. You were an admirable man.
John: Are you implying I can't be again?
Victor: Well, that would be up to you, wouldn't it?
Steve: Ooh. So, can I blow this joint now?
Nurse: Sorry. Dr. Carver wants to keep you at least a day for observation, make sure there's no residual damage to your lung.
Nurse: Your wife is staying overnight as well.
Steve: Oh. Maybe it won't be so bad. Can we share a room? Adjoining rooms? Well, can I at least see her?
Nurse: Not yet. Just be patient.
Steve: I am a patient. [Groans]
Max: So, I'm gonna head over to the pub, see what I can do to help out ma.
Roman: All right. Yeah, I'll go with you.
Max: All right.
Abe: I'll keep you posted if I learn anything.
Roman: Okay, well, Max and I will be at the pub if you need me.
Abe: All right, hey.
Roman: All right, partner. Thanks.
Abe: I'm gonna go back to the office.
Abe: I love you.
Lexie: Oh, sweetheart, I love you, too.
Lexie: All right. Your turn.
John: For what?
Lexie: You need to be examined.
John: I'm fine.
Lexie: That's good. But you still need to get checked out.
John: Forget it. I've been prodded and probed and stuck with enough damn needles to last me a lifetime. Actually two that I know of.
Lexie: John, I would feel much better if you would let me examine you.
John: You're just out for a cheap thrill, aren't you?
Lexie: Oh, honestly, John.
John: Go away.
Marlena: Is this man giving you a hard time?
Lexie: He won't let me examine him.
John: I'm fine.
Marlena: Why don't you let a doctor decide that?
John: Only if it's you.
Marlena: All right.
John: All right. You show me yours and I will show you mine.
Marlena: That works. This way.
Bo: They don't know exactly what's wrong with me. But, yeah, they're worried that it's something serious.
Chelsea: Like how serious? I mean, once they figure out what's wrong with you, they'll be able to cure you, right?
Bo: I'm hoping that's true, yeah.
Chelsea: They have to.
Victor: Hello, son.
Victor: I can't tell you how sorry I am about Shawn. He was a very special man.
Bo: Yeah, he was. You couldn't ask for a better father.
Victor: And you were very lucky to have him.
Bo: I was. We're all gonna miss him. No one more than ma.
Victor: Maggie's taking your mother over to the pub. I thought you'd want to know she's in good hands.
Victor: And if there's anything at all that I can do to help, you know all you have to do is ask.
Kayla: Yeah, way better.
Steve: How you doing, sweetness?
Kayla: I'm fine. Ooh, how are you?
Steve: I'm doing a little better. They gave me some pills.
Kayla: Mm, that's good.
Steve: Now, listen -- I don't want you taking any chances.
Kayla: I wonít. I know the risks.
Steve: So I shouldn't worry?
Kayla: Will you stop if I tell you to?
Steve: I don't want anything to happen to this baby.
Kayla: It wonít.
Stephanie: Dad and I are gonna see to that, you know. We already talked about how we're not gonna let you out of bed for the next eight months.
Kayla: Oh, really?
Steve: Really. And we're gonna get lots of carry out to satisfy those cravings. Thai, Indian, Mexican. Lots of pizza margarita.
Kayla: Those are your cravings, not mine.
Steve: Well, I'll share. What's going on, baby girl?
Stephanie: I feel terrible about Grandpa Shawn, but...I'm just happy to have you back home. And we're gonna have a baby.
Steve: Yes, we are. Yes, we are.
Stephanie: Watch his ribs.
Steve: Yeah, watch the ribs.
Philip: Hey. Are you guys all checked out?
Shawn D.: Yeah. You too?
Philip: Yeah, we're good to go. They just put in an order for my new titanium appendage.
Shawn D.: Nice.
Belle: I'm ready to go home.
Shawn D.: Yeah, me too. It sure isn't gonna be the same without grandpa. But despite all the sad news, I think we got a lot to be grateful for.
Belle: Well, I'm really grateful that --
Shawn D.: I know. I love you, Belle.
Belle: I love you. Let's go.
Shawn D.: Let's go home. Bye, guys.
Belle: Bye, guys.
Philip: See you later.
Kate: So, Philip, are you ready?
Philip: In a minute. Are you gonna be okay?
Chloe: Honestly, I don't know. I don't think everything that's happened has really hit me yet.
Philip: Why don't you come home with me?
Chloe: No, I shouldnít.
Philip: I mean, do you really want to be in a hotel room alone when all this hits you?
Chloe: No, I donít. Thank you, Philip.
John: I told you I was fine.
Marlena: I believe you... now that I've examined you.
Sami: Mom, did everyone go to the pub? Is that where we're supposed to go now?
Marlena: Well, no. I thought we'd wait a little while, give Caroline some time to herself.
Sami: Okay. Well, I really want to hear the rest of the story of what happened in Ireland.
Marlena: I'd be glad to share that with you at some point.
E.J.: Okay, I'll, um...I'll get the car.
Marlena: You're getting on pretty well.
Sami: Yeah, well, we were trapped together in that safe house. He -- he was really good with the twins.
Marlena: I'm glad.
Sami: Mom, can we give you and John a ride somewhere?
John: No, thanks. I don't know where I want to go yet.
Marlena: I was going home. I thought you'd come with me.
Sami: Mom, wait, uh...are you sure that's a good idea?
Marlena: I think it's a great idea.
John: Actually, you can take me to the DiMera mansion.
Sami: What are you talking about? Why would you go there?
John: Because I have every right to live there.
Sami: What does that mean?
Marlena: Well, uh, a lot... happened in Ireland that I will explain to you at some point. In the meantime, I'll just get the car pulled around, hmm?
Lexie: Okay, I've come to take you down for your tests and then you'll be transferred to a room. We just want to monitor you closely. Once we have a diagnosis, we'll go from there.
Bo: Okay. You're gonna be around when I get back, right?
Hope: Seriously, is that a serious question, Brady?
Bo: Well, yeah.
Victor: We all will. And if they can't figure out what's wrong with you, I'll bring in as many specialists as I have to. And I promise you, son, I won't quit until you're cured and you're home with Hope and your children.
Bo: Thanks. See you later. Love you, too.
Tony: Why don't we stay the night?
Anna: You canít.
Lexie: You're actually my uncle?
Steve: Oh, my God. She's here?
