Jack: Well, well, well, what have we here? Mr. Decker had no choice.

Max: I think your grandfather had something to do with Decker's sudden change of heart.

Chelsea: Yeah, I mean, but the autopsy report didn't really say anything about Ford being murdered. I mean, sure, if it had, then I would have been arrested and there was nothing my grandpa could have done about that. I mean, all he did was talk to Mr. Decker, get him to accept the truth, and try to move on.

Max: What about me? I mean, it doesn't matter how ford died. I tried to cover it up. I hid the body. I mean, did Roman say anything?

Chelsea: No, but my grandpa seems to think that all you'll get is a slap on the wrist, if you get anything.

Nick: I think now that they know it was an accident, everyone just wants to move on.

Max: Yeah, I hope you're right.

Chelsea: Me too. But thank you, again, for doing that. I mean, we really owe you.

Max: No problem.

Chelsea: I guess. You never know.

Nick: So, now that Chelsea's problems with the law are finally over -- thank God.

Morgan: But not all her problems with her sorority sisters are over.

Chloe: Yes, I understand. It's not that. I appreciate it. It's just not gonna be possible as that was a small opera company in Milan.

Philip: Oh, come on Chloe. You're afraid the Austrian authorities still suspect you had something to do with Brady's disappearance.

Chloe: No, I'm not. And you said you believe me.

Philip: It doesn't matter what I believe. The question is -- can you prove it?

Belle: Did you find dad?

Marlena: No, honey, he's disappeared.

Steve: We came back to make sure everybody was okay. Where's John?

Shawn D.: We haven't seen him.

Belle: I just checked.

Marlena: Somebody should check on Colleen pretty soon.

Belle: The girl just went up there and brought her some tea.

Marlena: Okay.

Belle: Why? Mom, if something's going on with dad, you should tell me.

Marlena: There's more than something going on. John had a knife. He tried to kill Colleen.

Kayla: What?

Hope: She's all right, isn't she?

Marlena: She is. He stopped himself.

Bo: But if killing her was his mission --

Marlena: It was. It was. But there was something more powerful than Stefano's mission.

Kayla: What's that?

Marlena: I'll tell you. Brace yourselves. It's pretty shocking and completely unexpected.

[Owl hoots]

Morgan: I'm really glad you're not being charged. Ford was scum.

Nick: Yeah, and Chelsea put her life on the line dealing with him.

Stephanie: And what happened wasn't her fault. The police know that. Even Ford's dad has had to accept it.

Morgan: Look, that's not what I'm saying.

Chelsea: Then what is it about, Morgan?

Morgan: When Ford died, we vowed as sisters not to say anything. We said that we would cover it up and keep it a secret, Chelsea.

Stephanie: I don't know what you're freaking out about Morgan, everything turned out okay.

Chloe: You know that I'm worried about Brady, and I'm tired of telling you that I had nothing to do with his disappearance.

Philip: You also told me the two of you were divorced and that your career had bottomed out. Both complete lies. So, tell me something -- was this job offer legit? And if so, why just an understudy? Did you tank in Europe?

Chloe: I wasn't a complete failure. And it's not like La Scala or the Met are bombarding me with offers.

Philip: So what are you gonna do? You gonna go back to him and try to save your marriage?

Philip: How do you feel about Brady?

Chloe: I love him. And he loves me. Sometimes you can love someone with your whole heart, and it just isn't enough.

Bo: What the he-- you think she's lying to protect herself?

Marlena: No, I don't. I think it's true. She had the medallion that John's mother had in the photograph taken of the two of them that Crystal gave him.

Belle: Colleen's my grandmother?

Marlena: Yes, she is. And finding out that Colleen was his mother really took John by surprise.

Kayla: Do you think that's why he took off?

Marlena: I'm terrified of what he might do, though. This mission was what he lived for. It is his whole existence. I'm afraid he just might be a walking time bomb.

Bo: Steve, Shawn, let's go.

Hope: Yeah, I'm coming, too.

Bo: No. He's not himself. He's dangerous.

Hope: I'm a cop.

Bo: Which is why I want you to stay here in case he comes back to complete his mission.

Hope: Be careful.

Bo: Yep. [Owl hoots]

Colleen: One last word before I die, and I'm quite prepared to do that. But you must know this -- you will be killing your own mother.

Nick: Stop it! this. After everything Chelsea's done for all of us, you and the other girls are really thinking about throwing her out of the sorority?

Morgan: All I'm saying is that we need to deal with the betrayal of our trust.

Nick: Betrayal of -- Chelsea saved you guys twice -- first by taking on ford and helping us for what he did to everyone and then by protecting you for your part.

Morgan: Luring him over there that night -- honey, that was your idea, okay? And keeping it a secret -- again, your idea, which we did.

Max: Hey, hey, hey, guys. Uh, this isn't accomplishing anything.

Max: Well, let's sit down.

Stephanie: Why do you think she's doing this?

Chelsea: I'm not really sure that she's the one behind it.

Stephanie: Then who is? All the other girls know that you put yourself on the line for them.

Chelsea: Exactly, and me being there is a constant reminder.

Nick: With Chelsea being gone, they can just pretend the whole thing never happened.

Chloe: So, John's a Brady and a DiMera?

Marlena: I know that's hard to believe.

Chloe: Are you sure?

Marlena: I am, but if there's any doubt, we can always do a blood test.

Hope: My God. All those years John spent not knowing who he really was.

Marlena: That's why I'm so worried about him.

Belle: You don't think he'd try to hurt himself, do you?

Marlena: I hope not. But I have no way of knowing what Stefano might have programmed into him if John's mission failed.

Belle: Poor Colleen. I mean, finally finding her son and then having him try to kill her? I think someone should be with her.

Kayla: You know, I'll go.

Belle: No, I'm gonna go. I'm her granddaughter.

Marlena: You're right. Go ahead, sweetie. Thank you.

Chloe: Do you want me to go with you?

Belle: Uh, no, I'll be fine.

Kayla: Should I call Bo and Steve and see if they've picked him up?

Bo: John, don't! John. It's okay. It's all right. Marlena told us what happened.

John: It's not okay.

Bo: Well, it will be.

John: Save your breath. I know what I have to do.

Bo: What you have to do is give me that knife and we'll take a walk back to the pub.

John: I don't think so.

John: I failed. I let my emotions get in the way of my mission.

Bo: All that proves is you're human, and not some mindless pawn of Stefano's.

John: All it shows is weakness.

Bo: What the hell are you doing? You got plenty to live for.

Bo: John, come on, let go of the knife. [Grunting]

Morgan: So, is it true what I heard?

Max: Yeah, she left this place for me to run while she figures out what she wants to do with it. Remember, she still has a brother here in town, you know.

Morgan: It's a really great place. I really like it.

Max: Why are you being so hard on Chelsea?

Morgan: Look, you know it's not personal. And please don't shoot the messenger, okay?

Max: I just thought you all were supporting her in trying to bring Ford down.

Morgan: We were, but we made a pact after he died not to say anything, and she told, so now she's got to answer to the sorority sisters.

Max: Okay, so if it comes down to a vote to either oust her or keep her in the Theta house, then what? Which way are you gonna vote?

Morgan: I think you know, Max. And I also think you know that I would never want to do anything to make you disappointed in me.

Chelsea: It really bothers you, doesn't it?

Stephanie: It shouldn't, but, yeah, it does.

Nick: I mean, I think that Max is just trying to convince Morgan to be on Chelsea's side.

Stephanie: I know. And the fact that he has that much influence on her is what bothers me.

[Knock on door]

Colleen: Come in.

Belle: I, just got the news that my father is your son.

Colleen: Yes, and that makes you me granddaughter and your precious child me great granddaughter. Come here, child.

Belle: Come on.

Colleen: Oh. Oh, you're so beautiful. . . and so innocent. Oh, may you always stay that way -- untarnished by the evils of the world.

Belle: You know, Stefano always had control of my father. He didn't know.

Colleen: Relax, girl. I always knew what Stefano was capable of.

Belle: I just can't believe that I'm looking at my grandmother.

Colleen: Oh. I've watched over all of you for a long time. A long, long time. I can't tell you what it means to me to finally see you and your -- your lovely girl. . . and with me very own eyes.

Belle: Well, are you coming back to Salem with us?

Colleen: No, no. Me home is here.

Marlena: It's true. It means that woman upstairs is Brady's grandmother, as well as Belle's.

Chloe: That's right.

Marlena: It also means that Stefano is his uncle.

Chloe: Do you think Stefano knew any of this? Could that be the reason behind Brady's disappearance?

Marlena: Colleen says not, and I believe her. As far as Brady goes, I don't know. And in Stefano's current state of mind, we can't find out.

Hope: Well, I believe her.

Chloe: You know, I'm gonna go to the kitchen, see if there's any tea. Would anybody like some?

Kayla: I think we all would.

Hope: I'd love some. Thank you. Oh, my gosh. Wait a second. Your -- your dad doesn't know about any of this.

Marlena: No, he doesn't, does he?

Hope: You know, I want to talk to him. I want to tell him he is to never see Colleen again. Oh

Kayla: Are you all right?

Hope: Uh, yeah, I just got a little dizzy there for a second. Well, I haven't eaten anything since breakfast, and I'm sure I just got up so fast. I'm fine. I'll be back.

Bo: John, you don't want to do this. Come on, man. I'm not the enemy.

John: Kill me.

Bo: [Breathing heavily] No. That's not gonna happen. You couldn't kill me, could you?

John: You're not the target.

Bo: Yeah, well, you couldn't kill your target, either. . . 'cause she's your mom.

John: I failed. Now kill me.

Bo: So, what, you got to punish yourself for failure? Is that it? Did Stefano program you to do that?

John: All I want is peace. I don't remember my life. I don't remember my wife or my children. And when I'm faced with them, I don't care. I don't feel anything, but when I realized that, that target. . . was my mother. . .

Bo: You couldn't kill her.

John: I could have. I chose not to.

Bo: Well, that's important.

John: Is it?

Bo: Yeah. Very important. John. . . we're good friends. We're -- we're like brothers. Hell, there was a time there when we thought we were brothers. . . thanks again to the DiMeras. But you don't remember that.

John: I don't remember anything. I tried. . . but that woman they call Doc. . . her daughter Belle -- I don't feel anything.

Bo: Well, Marlena is your loving wife and Belle. . . your beautiful daughter. They love you, and they want you back. You've got a good life. A hell of a lot better than some people I know. And it's a. . . hell of a lot better than the alternative -- a life on the run, no home, no friends. . . no one you care about, and no one who cares about you.

John: Are you saying that I'm free to go?

Bo: If you want to go, I don't know that I could stop you. Go. Stay. The choice is yours.

John: They won't mind too much.

Bo: I need to talk to you.

John: I think I'd like a drink.

Bo: When I found John, he had this pressed up against his throat.

Marlena: You tried to kill yourself?

Steve: Yeah.

Kayla: Oh, hi, it's me. Listen, uh, Bo found John. They're both all right.

Steve: That's a relief. Is Hope still with you?

Kayla: Um, she went up to talk to pop.

Steve: We got to find the time to talk to them both, get them home as soon as possible.

Kayla: I know.

Steve: Hey, now, you're gonna go ahead and make sure those flights get booked, right, baby? You're gonna call the hospital and schedule those tests for as soon as they get back.

Kayla: I'll try, but things are so crazy here. I haven't even had a chance to talk to Hope yet.

Steve: She's really gonna take it hard. Look what it did to Bo.

Kayla: I know, but they both need to know exactly what's going on so they know what they're dealing with. It was so hard to tell Bo. I can't even imagine telling Hope.

Steve: We'll do it together, baby.

Kayla: I love you.

Steve: I love you, too, sweetness. How'd you do it? How do you tell someone you love they could be dying?

Shawn: Who's dying?

Steve: Just a patient of Kayla's she's worried about.

Philip: Anyone we know?

Shawn: Come on, Philip. You know Steve can't tell us that.

Steve: No, I can't. Everybody's okay.

Shawn: I still can't believe that Colleen's John's mother. That means John's a Brady.

Steve: That's right. It also means that Santo DiMera is his father. Let's just hope the Brady genes are stronger.

Shawn: Yeah.

Belle: You really don't have to give me anything.

Colleen: I want you to have this. Do you know what it is?

Belle: This is the medallion that you were wearing in the picture with my dad.

Colleen: It's a symbol of a Celtic woman warrior. I wore it always to remind meself of me heritage, me strength, and the promise never to give up. . want it to be yours. Do you like it?

Belle: I love it.

Colleen: Oh, then maybe you can pass it on to your child one day. Take it, me child. I hope it gives you strength when you most need it.

Belle: Thank you so much.

Colleen: No, no. I thank you. I thank you. [Knock on Door]

Colleen: Come in.

Shawn: Hello.

Colleen: Shawny, I'm so glad you're here.

Shawn: Oh.

Colleen: Can we have a little bit of time alone?

Hope: Of course. I'll be right downstairs.

Shawn: All right. Hope told me about John.

Colleen: Oh, do you hate me for keeping that secret from you, too?

Shawn: I could never hate you, Leeny. I'm just sorry for all the time we lost.

Colleen: Oh, as am I. So now we have to make the most of what little time we have left.

Shawn: We have plenty of time together. You'll be coming back to Salem with us, won't you, eh?

Nick: Good. So now we can forget any of this ever happened and move on.

Morgan: As soon as we meet with the Theta sisters and they decide to do whatever they will with Chelsea.

Stephanie: But you just said. . .

Max: Well, I said Morgan and I talked.

Morgan: And I pretty much let him know I'm on Chelsea's side.

Stephanie: 'Pretty much'?

Morgan: Look, it's not just up to me. But I'm not gonna vote against her at a meeting.

Stephanie: That's really big of you.

Chelsea: You know what? Go ahead. Have your little meeting. You can say what you want, think what you want, decide what you want because, frankly, I really don't care. [Door slams]

Marlena: Were you really going to kill yourself, John? Is that what Stefano programmed you to do?

Bo: Tried to kill me, too. Couldn't do it.

John: Yeah. No real commitment.

Bo: Couldn't kill me, and he couldn't kill his mom.

Marlena: How did you keep him from hurting himself?

Bo: I just reminded him of who he is.

John: I'm filthy rich. DiMeras -- they have a lot of money, too, right? Now that I'm related, there's got to be a way to get some of that. Could somebody please get drink?

Hope: Hey, Brady.

Bo: Excuse me. Hey.

Hope: Thank God. Thank God you're okay.

Bo: He is messed up. I'm worried about him.

Hope: Yeah, we all are.

[Door opens]

Kayla: Steve.

Bo: Listen, Fancy Face --

Hope: Oh, um, would you just excuse me just a moment? I just -- I really need to talk to Shawn just. . . , go ahead.

Hope: Hey.

Steve: You didn't talk to Hope yet, did you? We got to do it soon. We got to get them back home for those tests.

Hope: Are you okay?

Shawn D.: Yeah, I'm fine. Mostly just happy that Claire's home safe with us. As for everything else, just a lot to process.

Hope: Yeah, it is.

Shawn D.: Mom, are you okay?

Hope: Yeah, it's just my back. It's hurting. Your dad's back is hurting, as well. It's the mattresses, I suppose, in this place. They leave a lot to be desired. And, naturally, of course, I'm tired. I don't think any of us have slept very well.

Shawn D.: Yeah, I know. That's for sure.

Hope: So, now that we found Claire, is there any chance at all of you and Belle possibly getting back together?

Shawn: You know, we all want you to be a part of our lives, Leeny. I called Caroline, my wife.

Colleen: I know. I know.

Shawn: She'd be thrilled to have you come and live with us.

Colleen: Oh, Shawny. I won't be going anywhere. That's why I'm so glad you're here with me for the end.

Shawn: 'The end'? Of what?

Colleen: Me life, Shawny. I'm dying.

Stephanie: I know you could have stopped the whole sorority-voting thing if you really wanted to.

Morgan: Hon, our sisterhood is a democracy. Majority rules. I'll take that soda now, Max.

Max: Oh, okay.

Morgan: I'll be over here.

Nick: If they don't want you, who cares? You don't need them.

Chelsea: You know, at first I thought this whole sorority-sisterhood thing was stupid. But it's really come to mean a lot to me. I really care about those girls.

Nick: You risked your life for them.

Chelsea: I was really just trying to do the right thing for everybody. I just really felt like I belonged there. And now if they decide to kick me out -- it was just the first place where I really felt accepted.

Shawn D.: I don't know, Mom. Belle and I certainly have got a lot to talk about and a lot to work through if we're gonna have any kind of future together.

Hope: Yeah, you certainly do. Okay, I guess, um -- I guess the real question is -- how do you feel about Belle? Do you still want to have a future with her?

Shawn D.: To be honest, I don't know what I feel. I don't know what I want. But after listening to my Great Aunt Colleen's stories, it makes me realize when two people love each other, they need to move heaven and earth to make it happen. If she and Santo could have been together, John would have had a completely different life, and so would all the DiMeras and the Bradys.

Belle: Hey. Oh, I'm sorry. Is this a private conversation?

John: Thanks.

Marlena: Bo was right. You have so much to live for. It's about a lot more than money.

John: Right. How about another?

Bo: I don't think you need another.

John: Well, I do. After all, not every day you come this close to killing your own mother.

Shawn: You can't be dying. It can't be true.

Colleen: It is. I've known for quite some time. That's why I had to step up the efforts to make sure everyone was safe.

Shawn: There has to be something we can do. Your niece Kayla is a doctor.

Colleen: Oh, no. I've seen all the doctors I'm gonna see. No. All I want now is me family one last time.

Max: Here you go.

Morgan: How much do I owe you?

Max: It's on the house. You know, just as long as, uh, you try to help Chelsea when everybody votes.

Morgan: You're not trying to bribe me, are you?

Max: No, you know this is the right thing, Morgan.

Morgan: I'll let you know how it turns out.

Max: Thanks, but, uh, I'm sure Chelsea and Stephanie will give me all the details.

Morgan: You know this isn't personal, Max. I mean, with Chelsea.

Max: I know. Look, I'll see you, all right?

Stephanie: Do you think she's deliberately trying to cause trouble?

Max: No, I think Chelsea breaking her promise has got the whole sorority in an uproar, but I think Morgan's just trying to be true to her friends. That's all.

Stephanie: Well, if they vote Chelsea out, I'm quitting, too.

Max: I don't blame you.

Stephanie: And Morgan is voted out of my own personal friendship group. I have my own code, too.

Max: Why are you being so hard on Morgan now? I really don't think she's the one who instigated this. Ooh, are you jealous?

Stephanie: She's wrong for you.

Max: Okay, but still, I sense a little jealousy. I kind of like it.

Nick: I know -- I know it's possible, but I really don't see the girls kicking you out of the sorority.

Chelsea: I was just really trying to do what I thought was right. world. I mean, I may not know the secret handshake, but, um, I love you and I'm not going anywhere.

Chelsea: Good. 'Cause I really don't think I could stand to lose another person in my life.

Bo: I'll be right over here if you need me.

Marlena: When we get back to Salem, I'd like you to agree to treatment.

John: And why would I agree to that?

Marlena: Because if you don't, I will have Bo arrest you for trying to hurt me and trying to hurt him, and then you won't get well at all. You'll spend all your time in jail.

John: Hell, I don't even know what 'get well' means. And even if I did, I'm not sure I would want to.

Marlena: Do you know what you do want?

John: No.

Marlena: That's why you need me.

Hope: Well, we were just talking about the family and everything that ha-- happened today. Isn't that --

Belle: Oh, yeah, it's the medallion that Colleen was wearing in the picture. Um, she gave it to me, asked me to pass it on to Claire.

Hope: That was very kind.

Bo: Yeah, yeah, it was.

Hope: Brady, are you okay?

Bo: Yeah, I just -- John didn't surrender that knife very easily. I might have hurt my back in the struggle.

Hope: Well, my back is killing me, too, and I didn't get in a fight with anybody all day.

Steve: We can't wait any longer. We got to talk to them. Come on, let's go. Hey, Shawn and Belle, would it be okay if we talked to mom and dad alone here for a little bit?

Shawn D.: Yeah, is something wrong?

Steve: We just need to finalize everyone's travel arrangements.

Belle: Okay, sure. Want to go get Claire something to eat?

Shawn D.: Yeah, let's go.

Belle: Okay. Bye.

Hope: What's going on?

Kayla: Um, we need to talk to you.

Steve: We need to talk to both of you.

Shawn: [Coughs]

Bo: Pop? Is something wrong?

Shawn: It's Colleen. She'd like all of you to come up to her room.

Marlena: This minute?

John: Probably just another ploy to get everybody's sympathy.

Kayla: What is it, Pop?

Shawn: I think it's better if you hear it from Colleen. Come on now, all of you. It's important.

John: You're pretty much damned for being a liar and betraying your sacred vows to God.

Shawn: Do you have to be so cruel?

Chloe: This new John is scary.

Colleen: Who you are now is what you're gonna be forever. That would scare the living hell out of me.
