Chelsea: Hey.

Nick: Hey.

Chelsea: Thank you for meeting me.

Nick: [Sighs]

Chelsea: Do you want to get something to eat?

Nick: No, I already ate. What do you want to talk about?

Chelsea: I just feel really bad about the whole Ford Decker thing.

Nick: You mean for killing somebody and covering it up.

Chelsea: And for getting you involved. I should never have told you what we did.

Nick: No, you shouldn't have. Now I'm an accessory to a murder.

Chelsea: I just thought that you wanted us to be open and honest with each other.

Nick: Yeah.

Chelsea: Okay. So, that's why I told you. If I hadn't said anything, it would have felt like I was lying, and we agreed that we wouldn't keep any more secrets. Would you have rather that I just kept acting weird around you?

Nick: No.

Chelsea: Okay. So then you understand.

Nick: I understand.

Chelsea: Good. Then I can count on you.

Nick: Count on me to what?

Chelsea: To keep it a secret. Nick, you cannot tell anybody what we did to Ford.

Nick: I'm sorry, Chelsea. I don't know if I can do that.

Philip: Belle, wait. You know you can trust me.

Belle: Not if you're helping Chloe, I canít.

Philip: I'm sorry. I probably should have told you I covered her legal costs, but I didn't realize you'd be this upset.

Belle: Are you serious? That girl has done nothing but cause problems since she got back -- for my mother, for me, for my entire family.

Philip: You're exaggerating.

Belle: Do you think that I'm just imagining the fact that my brother's missing, and she's the number-one suspect? And here you are helping her get away with it.

Philip: That's not what I'm doing, Belle.

Belle: I can't figure you out. You say you want to be friends, and then you go and pull a stunt like this.

Philip: I want us to be more than just friends.

Belle: Well, we're not gonna have that conversation.

Philip: You know what --

Belle: Just don't, okay? If I can't trust you as a friend, how am I ever gonna trust you as anything else?

Bo: What kind of sick game are you playing here?

Sami: Is this true?

Marlena: Please, tell me. Where is he?

E.J.: Sorry. Can't do that.

Bo: I knew it.

Marlena: Do you want -- do you want to prove to us, do you want to prove to Sami that you've changed? You can do that. Look, I need to know where John is. If you can't do that for me, then do it for your son. E.J., you have a chance, an opportunity to separate from Stefano... right here, right now. Please. Tell me where John is.

E.J.: He's in Dr. Rolf's lab in the basement.

Marlena: Oh! Have you seen him? Did you talk to him?

E.J.: No.

Marlena: Are you sure it's him? Are you quite sure it's no mistake? It's John?

E.J.: It's him.

Marlena: [Sighs] It's true. I've hoped and I prayed. He's found his way home. Thank you.

Dr. Rolf: He is progressing very nicely... very nicely indeed.

Stefano: Good. This way our friend here can embark on his mission even sooner.

Chelsea: Nick, you have to keep quiet.

Nick: Ford's parents were on the news earlier. Did you see it?

Chelsea: I can't watch that stuff.

Nick: Maybe you should. His mom was in tears. She was begging for information about her son. I felt kind of tempted. They're missing their son, Chelsea. Do you have any idea what that feels like?

Chelsea: Yeah, Nick, I do. I think about it every day.

Nick: But you're not gonna come forward.

Chelsea: I canít... at least not until Morgan and the other girls come back from break.

Nick: It's a long break.

Chelsea: They'll be back soon.

Nick: And then you're going to the authorities?

Chelsea: If that's the decision we all agree on.

Nick: [Scoffs] You guys have to take a vote?

Chelsea: That's how we do stuff.

Nick: "First, girls, we're gonna vote on the theme for the Valentine's Day ball. Then we have to figure out what to do with the guy we killed."

Chelsea: Will you shut up?

Nick: This is crazy.

Chelsea: Just trust me and keep quiet for a little bit longer, okay?

Nick: You're acting like this is all gonna go away when we come back from break. It's not. It's gonna get worse and worse until you deal with it.

Chelsea: Nick, please.

Nick: I can't keep lying for you, Chelsea. I made that mistake before.

Chelsea: What's my mom doing here?

Billie: I need to ask you two a few questions.

Belle: You ready to go home?

Philip: You can't leave things like this.

Belle: Watch me. Philip, donít. I've taken enough risk for you. No more.

Philip: You're not the only one, Belle. Christmas eve at that party for Bo and Hope -- I took a huge risk coming to see you. And what did you do to me? You embarrassed me in front of your whole family. But I handled it. I've been nothing but respectful toward you, and that's all I want in return. Don't push this. Don't let this one mistake ruin what we have together. Please, Belle, five minutes. That's all I ask.

Stefano: Very good. I expect to hear from you soon. [Sighs] Can we wrap things up here now?

Dr. Rolf: Um...Stefano, I am concerned about this assignment.

Stefano: Then continue working because he has to be in top shape immediately.

Dr. Rolf: Well, that is what I'm concerned about.

Stefano: We don't have time to be concerned, Rolf. We have located the enemy's whereabouts, which means the time has come for our friend here to carry out his assignment.

Dr. Rolf: Stefano, he is not yet fully prepared.

Stefano: For God's sake. You have been pushing information into him for days. He has to be prepared.

Dr. Rolf: I would be more comfortable with another day or two just to be certain.

Stefano: Do you understand how important and crucial it is for our timing here?

Dr. Rolf: Yeah, yeah. I do. And we are very close, I assure you, but this cannot be rushed.

Stefano: Damn it, Rolf! No more excuses. Make it happen!

Marlena: I know. I know. I've got to see him.

Bo: We can't go busting in the mansion without some plan.

Hope: If we're gonna do this, we need to do it right.

Bo: What else do you know? Like, how the hell did Stefano resurrect John?

E.J.: Look, all I know is what I saw. He's being sedated. He has some kind of restraints on his wrists and ankles.

Bo: Sounds like the work of the nefarious Dr. Rolf.

Sami: Did you talk to Stefano? Did you ask him why he was doing this?

E.J.: He said he needed him for some kind of mission. He didn't say what.

Bo: Yeah. Get me Roman Brady. Yes, it's important.

Marlena: Thank you. E.J., thank you.

E.J.: Please... don't mention it.

Marlena: I am...unspeakably grateful for what you've done.

E.J.: Of course. I know.

Chelsea: What's going on?

Billie: We got the police report back from the search we did at the sorority house. There was a little surprise in it.

Nick: I'll leave you two guys to talk.

Billie: Unh-unh. Sit down, Nick. You need to be here for this. They found a contact lens in the basement.

Chelsea: Well... a lot of girls at the sorority house wear contacts. I mean, Cordy does every now and then.

Billie: They checked it against Ford's prescription, and it was a match.

Chelsea: Oh. I guess he probably lost it one time when he went down in the basement.

Billie: Huh. What was he doing in the basement, Chelsea?

Chelsea: That's where we kept all the beer. He was down there all the time. What?

Billie: I'm just trying to get some answers.

Chelsea: Look, Mom, so the police found a contact lens that happened to match Ford's prescription in the basement. It doesn't mean anything.

Billie: Well, it's a little coincidental. Don't you think? Look, Chelsea, I am willing to give you guys the benefit of the doubt. But once Ford's dad gets ahold of this information, he is gonna grab onto you girls, and he is not gonna let go.

Belle: You want to finish that for mommy, okay? I think it's best if we don't see each other anymore, at least not now.

Philip: Best for who? I mean, how is being angry at me gonna benefit anyone?

Belle: It's not you that I'm angry with. It's me. I messed up, okay?

Philip: Is this about sleeping together? Because that took both of us. And I still don't think it was a mistake.

Belle: Well, it was. But, no, that's not it. It's about Claire and the fact that I have destroyed every chance of her having a normal childhood.

Philip: Why would you say that?

Belle: I've encouraged her to love two fathers.

Philip: Lots of kids grow up in blended families. Half the kids in Claire's playgroup have stepparents. It's no big deal.

Belle: It is to me.

Philip: Why? The way I see it, the more people who love Claire, the better. I hope that includes me.

Belle: It's confusing for her. That's what worries me. And like I said before, I don't have anyone to blame but myself. All I've ever wanted is to be a good mother, to be someone she can look up to.

Philip: You are, Belle. You're a terrific mother.

Belle: Yeah, I'm a great role model. I have betrayed my husband, my family. Everything I've ever believed in, everything I've ever wanted obliterated in a single afternoon. I made a choice, and I am gonna regret it until the day I die.

Philip: Stop torturing yourself.

Belle: I need to make some serious changes before it's too late.

Philip: I can help. What do you want me to do? Name it.

Belle: Seriously? You can help me put my marriage back together.

Dr. Rolf: To achieve perfection takes time, Stefano, and patience.

Stefano: We don't have time, Rolf. Bo Brady may be on to us. And this time, they could cause us some real problems.

Dr. Rolf: For that to happen, it would mean that someone would have had to expose you. Surely you don't believe that I would do such a thing.

Stefano: No, of course not.

Dr. Rolf: So, who do you suspect the culprit might be?

E.J.: I would like you to take everything that is mine and give it back to me. That means my cars, it means my stock portfolio, it means my furniture, and it means my trust fund. And I would like you to do that right now.

Stefano: Hmm. Salud. And if I refuse?

E.J.: You know what happens if you refuse. I walk out that door, I go and see the Brady brothers, and I let them know who's living in your basement.

Stefano: Mmm. I really don't know. But it doesn't make any difference now, does it?

Chelsea: Decker's dad has had it in for us since day one at the dean's office. I mean, you were there. You saw him. He was acting all accusatory and defensive. Of course he's gonna point the finger at us.

Billie: He's a very influential man. If he has a viable suspect, Chelsea, he's gonna go straight to the D.A.

Chelsea: Why should I care?

Billie: Because you and your friends are looking suspicious right now.

Chelsea: Is that what you think?

Billie: Chelsea, I -- you know what? I don't know what to think. But I do know this. You are my daughter. And I know when you're hiding something. Nick. You've been awful quiet.

Nick: I have nothing to say.

Billie: Are you sure about that? Because if you care at all for my daughter, you will tell the truth. What do you know about Ford's disappearance?

Philip: Has Shawn given you any indication he wants you back?

Belle: No, not yet. But I really think if I handle things right, we might be able to work things out. I mean, he wants to forgive me. I really believe that. It's just gonna be hard for him to say those words.

Philip: Is that what you really want, to be back with Shawn?

Belle: Yes. I want to work things out with him.

Philip: I just want what's best for you.

Belle: Well, what's best for me is to be a mom that she can be proud of 'cause that little girl over there is the only thing that's important.

Philip: You're right.

Belle: Come on, baby. You ready to go? For real, this time? Yeah? Okay, let mommy get her coat on so I can get all bundled up. Thank you. Let's go. Good girl. Do you want to say bye to Philip? Say bye-bye.

Claire: Bye.

Philip: Bye-bye.

Belle: Okay.

Crystal: She's on the move. Let's get it right this time.

Belle: Mommy's gonna put her scarf on, okay? Thank you.

Person: You sure you're okay, Mrs. Brady?

Belle: Yeah, I'm fine. I just want to go home. Wait for me, baby.

Crystal: Hey.

Rob: Everything's set.

Crystal: Good. How much time do we have?

Rob: Not much. Let's go.

Crystal: All right.

Bo: Junior says he saw John at the DiMera mansion. I know it sounds crazy. But if it's true, we got to make a move tonight. Can you get us a search warrant? You willing to write up a statement? You know, it's one thing to stand there and make a claim, but it doesn't mean a damn thing to any of us unless you stand behind it.

Sami: Okay. E.J., you got to do this.

E.J.: I'll make a statement.

Sami: Thank you.

Bo: Get the judge on the horn. We're going in tonight. Once you've written up this statement, we're gonna pay your old man a visit.

E.J.: I'll write the statement, but you're going in there without me.

Billie: Come on, Nick. It's not a hard question. Do you know what happened to Ford that night at the sorority house?

Nick: To be honest... I wasn't there. I mean, as far as I know, everything Chelsea's saying is the truth. He showed up, he got drunk, he passed out, he left the next morning. I mean, it's all in the surveillance camera, right?

Billie: Actually... see, there's no way to prove that it was Ford because we couldn't see his face on the surveillance camera. So, now Mr. Decker thinks that it was actually an imposter dressed up to look like Ford that night.

Chelsea: Do you really think that someone would go through all that trouble?

Billie: I don't know, Chelsea. You tell me. Look... I don't know what you two are hiding, but I do know this. These questions are not gonna get any easier. And the next time we go over this, it's probably gonna be at the police station. Think about that, okay? Just think about that. And I sure as hell hope that you're a lot more convincing with the police than you have been with me.

Sami: Here you go.

E.J.: [Sighs]

Sami: E.J., I appreciate how difficult that was for you, and I'm really grateful for what you've done for my mom, and I want you to know that I think what you did was really... admirable. And, um, I know that it took a lot of courage.

E.J.: All I did was sign a letter. Let's just hope it does some good.

Sami: It has to. If John's where you say he is... if he's at the mansion, they've got him. They can arrest Stefano right away.

E.J.: Sure. You know my father, though. He has a way of getting out of these situations.

Sami: Maybe. But at the very least, they can deport him.

E.J.: Sure. It's kind of sad, really, it's come to this. [Sighs deeply] I never thought I'd turn my back on my own father.

Sami: Your father is a monster.

[Horn honking]

Policeman: Terrific.

Belle: How are we gonna get through?

Policeman: Mobile Six to disPatch.

DisPatcher: Mobile Six, this is disPatch. What's your 20?

Policeman: I'm in the alley near Finch Street and Fifth, exiting the vehicle to check out an abandoned van.

DisPatcher: 10-4. Keep us posted, Mobile Six. This is incident number 290437.

Policeman: Stay here.

Belle: What do you think's wrong?

Policeman: Who knows? I'll be back.

Claire: [Mumbles]

Belle: You okay, baby? Cellphone ringing] Hello?

Philip: Belle, I need you to hear me out.

Belle: Philip, this really isn't a good time.

Sami: The things he has done to my family over the years -- this is nothing new, actually. I can't believe I was really surprised. He made me think -- he made all of us believe that my father was dead for years. And what he did to Aunt Hope and Uncle Steve...

E.J.: Yeah, well, it's new to me. I never imagined my father would be capable of such... cruel and, uh, inhumane behavior.

Sami: We tried to tell you.

E.J.: Well... either didn't see or I couldn't see. I don't know if you ever really knew just how much I admired my father. He was a strong, powerful man, but he was also somebody who had a side to him, or to me... he was kind. He was gentle. He had his weaknesses, of course. He had a temper. And he could be stubborn. [Laughing] He could be stubborn. But all I wanted -- all I ever wanted to do was please him. I wanted to be like him.

Sami: You were a kid. It's not your fault that you couldn't see the full picture.

E.J.: Everything that I have known is a lie. Everything. My father is not the man that I thought he was.

Sami: Aren't you glad to know it, know the truth now so that you don't dedicate your life to a man who doesn't even exist?

E.J.: I don't know where that leaves me.

Sami: It leaves you free. You are free from your father's control.

E.J.: Freedom. Is that what this is? Freedom. It's funny. It was nice when you had somebody watching your back, somebody looking out for you. That was what it meant to be in a family. But now I've betrayed my father. So... I may have my freedom, but I'm on my own.

Chelsea: Thank you, Nick. I owe you --

Nick: I just lied to your mom.

Chelsea: Not really. You said you weren't there. That part's the truth.

Nick: She's onto us. You do realize that.

Chelsea: It's not like I wanted this to happen.

Nick: Well... if you and your friends had just called the cops in the first place, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now.

Chelsea: We made a mistake, okay? What else do you want me to say?

Nick: You really want to know? I want you to grow up and tell the truth.

Philip: Listen, I need you to understand something, okay? I respect whatever decision you make, even if that means getting back together with Shawn. If anything changes next week, next month, a year from now... remember, I will always be there for you, okay? No matter what.

Policeman: I need 31174. Yeah. Check to see if it's stolen. [Rifle cocks]

Rob: Easy now. No one has to get hurt.

Bo: Come on.

Roman: All right. So, how do we want to do this?

Bo: What do you mean, Roman? We got to do it by the book.

Roman: Oh, yeah, right. This little piece of paper is gonna make Stefano invite us in for cognac with him and John.

Bo: Yeah. You ladies ready?

Hope: As we'll ever be.

Bo: You got the security code?

Hope: You bet we do. I'll see you in there, okay?

Marlena: Let's go.

Roman: What the hell are you up to?

Bo: You'll see.

Stefano: What year is it?

John: 2008.

Stefano: Where are you?

John: Salem.

Stefano: You have any family?

John: No. Negative. No family.

Stefano: Who do you belong to?

John: You. Stefano DiMera.

Stefano: What is your job?

John: I am on a mission.

Stefano: What is the nature of your job?

John: To get the hell out of here.

Stefano: No, no, damn it. No, to get the -- you don't get the hell out of here until I tell you, you are ready to get the hell out of here. Do I make myself clear?

Dr. Rolf: Stefano, a word.

Stefano: Did you insert the tracking device in his arm?

Dr. Rolf: Yeah, yeah, I did.

Stefano: All right. He's -- he's getting a little nervous, and I'm a little concerned that he may try to escape again.

Dr. Rolf: I'm afraid we have a more pressing concern at the moment.

Stefano: What's the problem?

Dr. Rolf: You were right about the police. They are here.

Nick: This is a serious crime you guys committed. The longer you wait, the worse the punishment will be.

Chelsea: I know that. I think about that all the time. I can't sleep. I can't eat. Wherever I look, I see his face. No matter how hard I try to block it out of my brain, I canít. He's always there.

Nick: It's okay. I understand what you're going through, okay? After Willow died, I had the exact same feeling. The only thing that will get you through this is telling the truth. You can't keep something like that bottled up inside. It will drive you crazy.

Chelsea: I know that. I can't do anything until the girls come back. This isn't just about me. It's about all the sorority girls.

Nick: I'm guessing all of them feel the same way. Can't you make a conference call or something? Can't you tell them what's going on?

Chelsea: I don't want to ruin their Christmas.

Nick: What?! You don't think their Christmas is already ruined? You know what you have to do, Chelsea. Take a stand. Do what's right. They'll listen to you.

Chelsea: I'm not so sure about that.

Nick: You're one of the strongest people I know. If anybody can do it, it's you. No more secrets, right? I say that not because of what it's doing to me -- because of what it's doing to you.

Hope: Oh, look at this place.

Marlena: What is this? [Machines beeping]

Marlena: Oh, my. I think that's -- I think that's him. I think it's John.

Hope: We got to find Bo. Come on.

Marlena: No, no, no. You get Bo. I'll stay here.

Hope: Marlena, I'm not leaving you here alone.

Marlena: It's okay. He'd never hurt me.

Hope: Listen to me. Take this just in case. Take it. Now, don't you approach him under any condition until I get back here with Bo.

Rob: I want you to shut your phone off and set it on the ground, easy.

Belle: Philip, Claire and I need some time to ourselves. [Rifle cocks] [Rob shoots the cop] [Rifle cocks] [Gunshot]

Belle: Oh, my God.

Philip: Belle?

Belle: Oh, my God. No! No! There's a baby in here! Please don't! Oh, my God!

Philip: Belle! What's going on? Where are you?

Belle: I'm in an alley! Philip, please help me! What do you want?

Crystal: I'm sorry, sweetie, but you're gonna have to come with us.

Belle: What? No. No! Please, don't hurt her! Please, don't hurt her!

Philip: Belle? Are you there? Hello?

Nick: I know that you don't want to hear this... but it's time for you to be an adult. It's time for you to take responsibility for your actions. That's what I learned from the Willow incident, is that you don't get a chance to do things over. You make a mistake, you pay the consequences. I care about you, Chelsea. I love you. But if you can't do this... I don't see what kind of future we can have together. There won't be a future to have.

Chelsea: What are you saying?

Nick: I'm saying you need to come clean... or else I have no choice but to walk away, and this time it will be for good.

Philip: Oh! Are you okay?

Policeman: Yeah, guy got the jump on me. Guess I'm lucky he was shooting rubber bullets.

Philip: Where's Belle and Claire?

Policeman: [Grunts] The shooter grabbed them. [Groans]

E.J.: You know, after what my father did today... decimated my bank accounts, had my belongings repossessed... I can only imagine what he's gonna do next. I'm sure he'd like to erase me entirely.

Sami: You did the right thing. You may have even saved John's life. I know it wasn't easy, but... it made you a better man.

E.J.: Do you really mean that?

Sami: Yeah. Yeah, I do.

Stefano: Ah.

Bo: We were beginning to wonder if you were going to answer the door.

Stefano: I'm sorry, but when I listen to music, I don't hear the bell. So, what can I do for you, gentlemen?

Roman: We'd like to come in, take a look around.

Stefano: Fine. I'm flattered. Perhaps while you're here, as a matter of fact, I'll show you my newest acquisition from Florence, a 19th-century painting. You know what would be interesting? To hear your critique.

Bo: Can the chatter, old man.

Stefano: Oh, my goodness.

Bo: We're not here to look at paintings. We're looking for John Black. [Thud]

Marlena: [Gasps] John? John. John. John, what is it? [Gasps] What have they done? What have they done? [Crying] Oh, it's you. It's you.

Stephanie: I just want you to know how much I appreciate what you've done.

Crystal: All I want to do is protect you.

Belle: From who?

Bo: Roman.

Marlena: It's okay.
