Max: Hey, you guys found Chelsea yet?
Morgan: No, but Carmen and Ashley are texting all the sisters that aren't home. Maybe she's with one of them.
Max: Yeah. Oh.
Nick: I got your message. What's going on?
Max: Have you talked to Chelsea tonight?
Nick: No. Why?
Max: I think she's missing.
Nick: What do you mean missing?
Max: She went outside to check on her car, and she's not there. She's not with any of her friends, and she's obviously not with you.
Nick: That's really weird. Where could she be?
Morgan: It's worse than weird. Two nights ago, a co-ed was raped behind Dietrich's.
Nick: What do you mean? There's a rapist on campus?
Morgan: But Chelsea knows to be careful.
Nick: That's it. I'm calling Billie. We got to find Chelsea right now.
Lucas: What are you thinking about?
Sami: You and me, my kids, and how perfect everything feels right now and how I just wish it could be like this forever.
Lucas: Me too.
Sami: Lucas, I hate it that we can't be like this forever.
Lucas: Yeah, I know. Me too.
Sami: You know I don't have a choice.
Lucas: Well, I just keep praying that when I wake up, Stefano will be gone, he'll be dead.
Sami: Me too. But until that happens, my family isn't safe. And that means I have to marry E.J. as quickly as possible.
Lucas: So why not just string him along? He'll probably die soon in his sleep anyway. Although I'd rather he die wide awake, painful as possible.
Sami: Lucas, as soon as I get out of here, we have to fly to Santo Domingo and get a quickie divorce.
Kate: Thank you.
Lucas: For what?
Kate: For staying.
Lucas: Nothing's changed, all right? I still want you out of my life.
Kate: These are my grandchildren. Are they gonna be banished from my life as well? Look at their little hands. They are so perfect.
Lucas: One may not be mine.
Kate: Lucas, don't let E.J. get to you.
Lucas: Mom, it's possible.
Kate: Look, even if he's the father of one of the babies, DNA does not make a parent. And you're gonna raise them. You're gonna love them. They're gonna have a grandmother who loves them. They already do. Lucas --
Lucas: Mom, please, don't do that, all right? Bo stopped by earlier. They finally found the guy who hit John.
Kate: And there's a DiMera connection?
Lucas: Oh, yeah. It was Andre's cellmate.
Kate: So Sami was right. The DiMeras killed John.
Lucas: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, I guess, but the guy's not talking.
Kate: So Stefano's gonna get away with it again? I mean if it is Stefano.
Lucas: Don't do that. It is Stefano.
Kate: No, you don't know that.
Lucas: Yes, I do.
Kate: No, you donít. Think about it. Think about it. If Stefano wanted to kill John, he could have done it years ago. But instead, he played with his mind. He wreaked havoc on his life. Yes. But Stefano has always enjoyed playing with his victims, not killing them.
Lucas: Stefano needed to send Sami a message -- dump me and marry E.J. If she didn't do that, her family members would be killed one by one. And now she's pushing for a divorce. So you should be very happy about that.
Kate: No, actually, I'm not.
Kate: [Sighs] [Baby crying] Your daddy is very angry at me right now. But I am going to find a way to make sure that we're together in spite of that. And when I do, I'm going to spoil you both, just like I spoiled your father.
E.J.: Which father was that?
Kate: I'd like to spend a little time alone with my grandchildren.
E.J.: It's okay. I understand. I guess once Lucas takes them home, that'll be the last time you're gonna see them, eh?
Kate: E.J., what do you want?
E.J.: I'd like some of your time. That was quite a performance, there, dear.
Kate: Excuse me?
E.J.: Back in Samantha's room, you know. When you told her that her son took after Lucas. That was a nice touch. It's not true. He's the spitting image of me, but it was a nice touch.
Kate: I want you to listen to me very carefully. Stay away from Lucas and Sami's children.
E.J.: Who are you, hmm? The Kate Roberts I know would not be defending her hated daughter-in-law.
Kate: This has nothing to do with Sami.
E.J.: No, it doesnít. It has everything to do with Lucas and the fact that you're terrified that your son has banished you from his life.
Kate: [Sighs] E.J., Lucas let me see my grandchildren. Actually, I was holding my granddaughter.
E.J.: Kate, what would you say if I told you I could give you your son back?
Max: Someone from the security office called Chelsea and told her the lights in the car are on, so she went outside to turn them off.
Morgan: She parked right out front. She insisted.
Max: Even so, I went out almost immediately after her, and she wasn't there. The lights on her car weren't even on.
Billie: What time did the security office call?
Morgan: About an hour ago.
Billie: All right, that's easy enough to verify. Hey, Jett, it's Billie. Listen, I need you to check the call logs and find out if somebody from the security office called my daughter. I need the information right away. Yes, please. Thank you. All right, uh, what did Chelsea look like when she left the house? Was she upset, anything?
Max: No, not at all.
Nick: Don't look at me. I just got here.
Morgan: In fact, she was really excited about moving into the house.
Billie: Was anybody angry with Chelsea?
Morgan: No, everyone loves Chelsea.
Billie: Okay. You said she left by herself, right?
Max: Yes, and I should have went right after her.
Billie: All right, all right, all right. Listen to me. Can anyone tell me anything else? Anyone? You guys know about the attack on campus, right?
Morgan: Yeah, everyone does. [Cellphone rings]
Billie: Excuse me.
Nick: Okay, we got to organize a search.
Max: Yeah. Right. Right. Yes.
Morgan: I'm gonna get the girls upstairs. Carmen, I want you to call everybody that's off campus, not in this house and get them over here, okay? Ashley, I want you to find as many flashlights as you possibly can. We need them all. All right, let's go.
Billie: That was Jett. No one from our office called Chelsea. She was set up.
Lucas: You can't be serious.
Sami: Lucas, I'm totally serious. Apparently in the Dominican Republic, you can get a divorce in 24 hours.
Lucas: It was E.J.'s idea, right? That's what you were talking about?
Sami: I'm not doing this for E.J. I'm doing it to save our family.
Lucas: But he's the one who wanted you to get the quickie divorce.
Sami: Doesn't matter. We still have to do it.
Lucas: I don't believe this.
Sami: You knew it was coming.
Lucas: I thought I had time, all right? A divorce takes months, not 24 hours. I thought I had a little more time for Stefano to die or for E.J. to get hit by a bus or something.
Sami: After what happened to John, you agreed that I had to marry E.J.
Lucas: Yeah, well, I take it back. I regret it, all right? I don't agree to anything. I am not giving you up. I am not granting you a divorce.
Kate: Lucas hates you.
E.J.: Well, I'm not one of his favorite people, but that doesn't mean that I can't help you.
Kate: The only person E.J. Wells likes to help is himself. So what do you want?
E.J.: This estrangement has made you very cynical, hasn't it?
Kate: No. No. I was born cynical. So, are you going to tell me what this little chat is about?
E.J.: I already have told you what this little chat is about. I want to help you get back in your son's good graces.
E.J.: Why else? Because I want you to do something for me.
Kate: Ahh, the veil of altruism falls. And what is that?
E.J.: I want you to convince Lucas to divorce Samantha.
Kate: Well, I have wasted a lot of time trying to achieve that goal, and you can see how successful I've been.
E.J.: But you didn't have me helping you. Two heads are better than one.
Kate: No, no, no. Been there, done that. And from what I've heard, Sami's already planning to divorce Lucas because of this crazy vendetta of your family's.
E.J.: She is, but I don't think Lucas is entirely on board. In fact, I think he's gonna try and convince her not to. I can't let that happen.
Kate: Lucas can be very persuasive, but nothing short of blackmail can get Sami to change her mind.
E.J.: As much as it pains me to say this, I think that you underestimate your son.
Kate: Hmm. That could be true. But I still don't see what I can do for you. But more importantly, I don't see what you can do for me.
E.J.: I can guarantee you your son's forgiveness, and in return, I want you to use your influence with him to convince him to agree to Samantha's divorce.
Kate: And all I have to do is trust you.
E.J.: Exactly. See? That easy. What do you say?
Ashley: Guys, these were all the flashlights that I could find, but --
Morgan: Oh, honey, these are perfect. Thank you.
Max: Yeah, good. Thank you. Carmen, how's it coming calling all those off-campus Thetas?
Carmen: I haven't reached everyone, but I've reached a bunch, so I'm just gonna keep trying.
Max: Good, good. We can take all we can get, man.
Billie: It's official. The police are on it.
Nick: I thought you needed 24 hours.
Billie: It helps when the missing person's father is a cop.
Nick: Thank you, Bo.
Billie: I'm gonna go down to the police station and see what they're doing to help find Chelsea. Now, where are you guys gonna start searching?
Max: Morgan and I are gonna take the North side of the campus.
Nick: Ashley and I will take the South.
Carmen: I'm just gonna stay here in case she shows up.
Billie: Okay, good. But listen, I do not want you here by yourself.
Nick: Stay with her. I'll cover it.
Ashley: Okay. If you're sure.
Nick: I'm sure.
Billie: All right, you all have my number. Call me if you hear anything at all. Be careful.
Ashley: Thank you.
Ford: This better be good, man. I was in the middle of a hot, crazy dream when you called.
Max: This will only take a minute, all right?
Ford: What's the problem?
Max: It's Chelsea. She's missing.
Ford: No kidding?
Max: You have any idea where she is?
E.J.: So, what do you say? Should we pool our resources, end this sham of a marriage between Lucas and Samantha?
Kate: [Sighs] [Baby crying] Oh, sweetie. Sweetie, no. No, no, no. Don't cry. It's okay. I'm here. [Baby sighs] You're gonna be fine.
E.J.: I don't know whether I'm more impressed or surprised. You certainly have a way with kids, eh?
Kate: You know, there are a lot of things about me that would surprise you, E.J. You know, it's funny. When Lucas was a baby, the only way I could get him to stop crying was to whisper very quietly in his ear. It didn't even matter what I said, just as long as it was my voice. He wanted to hear his mommy's voice. Now that's the last thing in the world he wants to hear. He hates me.
E.J.: No, he doesnít. Come on. You know what they say about love and hate. It's a thin line. You and Lucas have a special bond, and that is something that cannot be broken.
Kate: That bond is broken. Trust me.
E.J.: It's not. It's stretched, all right? Maybe it's even stretched to its limits, but it's not broken. Look, if you want, you and Lucas can again have the type of relationship that most parents would kill to have with their children.
Kate: Oh, my God. I don't need your sarcasm.
E.J.: I'm not being sarcastic. Look, Lucas may have shut you out of his life, but it's only temporary if you let me help you. If you let me help you, I can get you back into your son's life and I can get you time with your grandson.
Kate: [Laughs] If you think my grandson is your child, you're delusional.
E.J.: Okay, then you can get time spent with your grandchildren. Happy?
Kate: And all I have to do is get Lucas to divorce Sami?
Kate: My son won't even talk to me.
E.J.: What are you talking about? You were chatting it up with him and Samantha a little while ago.
Kate: Yes, yes, he did let me spend time with my grandchildren, but he made it perfectly clear it was a one-time deal.
E.J.: It doesn't have to be, okay, if you just let me help you.
Kate: I know my son. He means what he says.
E.J.: Don't you see the oddity here, okay? You've got a son who, on the one hand, is banishing you and saying he's never gonna speak to you again and then a minute later is wanting you to spend time with his kids. Look, he's opened the door to reconciliation. You just have to step across that threshold.
Kate: Really? And ruin his marriage so he can slam the door shut in my face? No. I have done that before, and it hasn't worked.
E.J.: But it will this time. Trust me.
Kate: E.J., no. No, thanks. I think I'm much better off playing the contrite mother. This time you're on your own.
Lucas: I've come to my senses, all right? Now, think about it. What's gonna happen when Stefano wants you to give him a grandchild?
Sami: We talked about this. E.J. will lie to his father. He'll make him think we're trying or something.
Lucas: While you're staying in opposite ends of the DiMera mansion?
Sami: We won't be staying at the DiMera mansion.
Lucas: But you'll have separate bedrooms, though, right?
Sami: Yes. Right. Absolutely.
Lucas: You can't trust E.J. to stay out of that separate bedroom. He's gonna show up in the middle of the night. He's gonna barge right in.
Sami: I'll lock the door.
Lucas: You're gambling on him keeping his word.
Sami: I don't have a choice.
Lucas: Stefano and E.J. came up with this whole ridiculous idea just to get E.J. into your bed.
Sami: That's not true. Stefano did not come up with the terms for ending this vendetta. He is just enforcing them.
Lucas: Are you defending Stefano now?
Sami: No. No. I just think it's obvious that me marrying E.J. is exactly what Santo intended when he wrote that letter.
Lucas: When are you gonna get it through your head? That whole "I'm honoring my dying father's wishes" is Stefano's doing. He's doing it so E.J. can get close to you anytime he wants.
Sami: When are you gonna get it through your head exactly how dangerous Stefano is?
Lucas: Yeah, well, I'm dangerous, too, and it's time I prove that.
Ford: Why are you asking me about Chelsea? Did she say something?
Max: What would she have said?
Ford: How would I know? You're the one who dragged me over here, didn't you? Must have been some reason. Look, bottom line -- I don't know where she is.
Nick: So, you haven't seen her since you left the party?
Ford: I'm sorry. Do I know you?
Morgan: Just answer the question, Ford.
Ford: What's this about? What are you guys accusing me of?
Max: We're not accusing you of anything. I just kind of figured when you and Chelsea left the party at the same time, you might have seen something suspicious.
Ford: Well, I didn't.
Morgan: Good! That's all we needed to know.
Ford: You guys think something bad happened to her?
Max: Well, her car's out front, she's not here, and she's not answering her phone. What do you think?
Nick: This isn't getting us anywhere, okay? I'm gonna start looking for Chelsea.
Max: That sounds good.
Nick: Let me know if you hear anything.
Max: Same to you, all right?
Nick: Chelsea, where are you? Are you okay?
Chelsea: I'm in big trouble.
Lucas: The DiMeras don't play by rules. Fine. From now on, neither do I.
Sami: Lucas, what are you gonna do?
Lucas: I'm gonna do what I told you I was gonna do. I'm gonna protect my family.
Sami: What if someone else gets killed?
Lucas: You can't roll over for these guys, honey. They'll kick you when you're down.
Sami: I'm not going to. I am gonna beat Stefano at his own game.
Lucas: By marrying E.J.?
Sami: Exactly. And by exploiting his obvious weakness.
Lucas: Which is?
Sami: E.J.'s in love with me. And I'm gonna use that to destroy him and his entire family.
E.J.: The Kate I know would never walk away from an opportunity to get Sami Brady. Oh, come on, Kate. This new defeatist attitude doesn't suit you.
Kate: Scoring points with Lucas -- that's the only thing I care about right now. So why don't you just get lost? Why don't you leave so I can spend some time with my grandchildren?
E.J.: Enjoy it while you can.
Kate: I will.
E.J.: You're really telling me you just don't care, that your son is probably right now trying to persuade Samantha not to go through with this divorce?
Kate: Sami is not going to listen if she's already made up her mind. You know that.
E.J.: She's very stubborn, okay? Yes, she is. But your son has a lot of clout with her.
Kate: That's called love. I don't think that's something you're familiar with.
E.J.: Oh, I think it's something I'm very familiar with, Kate. Maybe you remember firsthand the kind of crazy things that love can make a person do.
Kate: Are you threatening me?
E.J.: No, I'm not threatening you. I'm simply pointing out to you that you and I have some common goals and that I'm gonna be very disappointed if they don't get a divorce because you failed to help.
Nick: Chelsea, where are you?
Chelsea: Nick, please, just do what he says.
Guy: If you want to see your girlfriend, you'll do exactly what I say.
Nick: Who is this?
Guy: I'm going to give you an address.
Guy: Come alone. If I see the police or anyone else, I'll kill her. You got that? Here's the address.
Max: Okay, thanks.
Ford: Dude, what's your problem?
Max: Oh, I have the problem.
Ford: Yeah, you've been on my case all night.
Max: I already explained to you the deal with Chelsea, and I thought that maybe you'd seen something.
Ford: Right. And then playing the big man with Carmen?
Max: She said no to you having your hands all over her, and it didn't seem like you were listening. You're lucky I only asked you to leave.
Ford: And you're lucky I didn't wipe the floor with you.
Max: Well, sometime when a friend isn't missing, I'd love to see you try.
Ford: I'm looking forward to it.
Ford: Morgan, I'm out of here.
Lucas: So, you think by marrying E.J. you're gonna ruin his life, because he's in love with you?
Sami: And I'm not in love with him. And that gives me an obvious advantage.
Lucas: Look, I know what you're capable of when it comes to --
Sami: Just think how much fun it'll be. I can run him around in circles. By the time I am done with him, he will be begging me to leave.
Lucas: What happens the first time you cross him? He's gonna go after somebody you love.
Sami: No way. Then he breaks the deal and I'm out of there.
Lucas: He's not gonna let you go. He's gonna coerce you into staying there. That's what he does, and I'm not gonna let him do it. So, no, I'm not giving you this divorce, not now, not ever.
Sami: I'm doing this, Lucas, with or without you.
Kate: Up until this evening, I thought I had lost my son for good. But now I realize that I can win him back. And working with you is only gonna jeopardize that. What is she doing?
Morgan: No. We ran into some guys off campus, and they haven't seen a trace of her either. Anything on y'all's end?
Carmen: We've been trying to study. It's been really hard to concentrate.
Max: Okay, I'll be there in 20 minutes, all right? Okay.
Ashley: I made some coffee. Do you guys want some?
Morgan: Yeah, sweetie, that'd be great.
Ashley: Okay, Max, how do you take your coffee?
Max: Just black, thanks.
Morgan: So, what'd Billie say?
Max: She said the cops need someone to come down there and explain everything that Chelsea did and said before she left, so I figured I'll do that.
Morgan: I'll go, too.
Max: You're cold, and you're tired.
Morgan: I'm not gonna stop looking for Chelsea.
Max: Just hang around here for a while. And then we'll go back out and look for her.
Morgan: God, Max, we have to find Chelsea. I mean, if I don't find her --
Max: Look, she's tough. It's gonna be okay.
Morgan: I hope so.
Ashley: Here you go, you guys.
Max: Thank you.
Morgan: Thank you, sweetie. Thank you.
Max: Want to sit?
Max: [Sighs] Look, are you gonna be okay if I leave in a couple minutes after I get warm?
Morgan: Yeah. I'm tough, too, you know. Steel magnolia and all that.
Max: That's a good combination.
Morgan: You think so?
Morgan: You really don't like Ford, do you?
Max: I don't like the way he treats women.
Morgan: Well, he can be a jerk sometimes.
Max: He got all defensive when I asked him about Chelsea.
Morgan: Well, you dragged the poor boy out of bed. I hardly think he'd be happy about it.
Max: So? Too bad for him.
Morgan: He's just more spoiled than anything.
Max: I don't trust him. If I were you, I'd tell him he's not welcome back here again.
Nick: What are you guys doing? How did you get here?
Artemis: You seemed upset, so we thought you needed help.
Nick: I don't need any help, okay? How did you guys get here?
Artemis: Called a cab. We always used to do that in Vegas.
Nick: But how?
Artemis: You left this.
DeMarquette: It's the address.
Nick: Shh! I know. I know. This is the address. Listen, you guys -- you got to get out of here. Okay, you know what? It's too late. Come on over here. All right, what I need you guys to do is stay really, really quiet over here for a while.
DeMarquette: That's no fun.
Artemis: We want to help! I'm 10, after all.
DeMarquette: And I'm 8.
Nick: The way that you guys can help is by staying really quiet here, okay?
Nick: Okay. All right. I don't want either of you guys leaving until I come back. Nobody moves. Can you do that for me? Okay, now go hide behind the couch.
Guy: Welcome, Mr. Fallon.
Nick: Where's Chelsea? Is she okay?
Guy: For the moment.
Nick: I want proof Chelsea's okay or I'm out of here.
Guy: Chelsea, say hi to your boyfriend.
Guy: Try this again, she dies.
Chelsea: Nick, please help me.
Lucas: Careful. Listen to me. A quickie divorce is not the answer.
Sami: Lucas, my family is under attack. Their lives are in my hands. I don't have a choice.
Lucas: I'm not gonna let Stefano or E.J. harm another member of your family.
Sami: The DiMeras always find a way.
Lucas: Well, they don't know what I'm capable of.
Sami: Lucas --
Lucas: Do you love me?
Sami: More than anything.
Lucas: And you respect me?
Sami: Of course I do.
Lucas: Then let me protect my family.
Kate: My son has now officially removed all traces of me from his life.
E.J.: You know your son loves you, right?
Kate: He changed his name -- my name. He said he was gonna do it, but I thought he was just angry, saying it to hurt me.
E.J.: It looks like he succeeded, eh? Look, what do you have to lose, all right? I can get you your son back. Let me help you.
Chelsea: Nick, help me, please!
Nick: Chelsea, I'm here. It's gonna be okay. Look, I don't know what you want, but let her go. Take me instead.
Guy: I prefer Artemis and DeMarquette.
Guy: I want the two boys for the girl.
Nick: No way.
Guy: I know that they're not at your apartment.
Nick: What do you want with them?
Guy: That's not of your concern.
Nick: Of course it is. They're my kids.
Guy: I'm getting very impatient.
Nick: They're with a sitter.
Guy: You disappoint me, Mr. Fallon. I thought you cared about your girlfriend. Well, say goodbye to Miss Brady.
Chelsea: Nick! Nick, what's happening? Nick!
Kate: Okay. You're right. I'll help you. I have nothing left to lose.
E.J.: You have a lot to gain.
Kate: I'll help you with Sami.
Kate: Provided you do what I want.
E.J.: Lucas is gonna come running, okay? I promise you.
Kate: And how do you plan to accomplish that?
E.J.: By hurting you.
Lucas: We can't just keep giving in to the DiMeras' demands like this. E.J.'s trying to lay claim to one of our twins, and I'm not gonna let him take the babies. I'm not gonna let him take you either.
Sami: Lucas, what are you gonna do?
Lucas: Just leave it to me, all right? I can handle it. Everything's gonna be all right.
Sami: How can you be sure of that?
Lucas: You trust me, right?
Sami: Of course I trust you.
Lucas: All right, then. Just relax. You just gave birth to twins. Just relax and recuperate and don't worry about E.J., all right? You put that problem in my hands. I'll solve it.
Lucas: All right? Good. Scoot over, all right, honey? Climb in here. You get some rest, and I'll stay right here with you. I'll protect you.
Sami: I'm not gonna be able to sleep.
Lucas: Do me a favor and try, okay?
Sami: Okay. Hey, Lucas? I love you.
Lucas: And you know I love you, too. Close those blue eyes.
Morgan: I can't just ban Ford from Alpha Chi Theta.
Max: Why not? You're the president of the sorority.
Morgan: Yeah, but I can't say who comes and goes -- not without a vote. And he didn't even do anything wrong besides be a jerk. Plus, he's a Decker.
Max: That means nothing to me.
Morgan: The Deckers have donated a lot of money to this school. They carry a lot of weight around here.
Max: What, does that mean he's untouchable or something?
Morgan: Well, no, but I can't just ban him for being a jackass.
Max: In my world, people like Ford Decker get their butts kicked for being a jackass.
Morgan: I'd like to see that.
Max: I have the feeling you may get your chance.
Morgan: Okay, well, in the meantime, I can't be having him talking trash about Alpha Chi Theta. So I can't be doing anything to give him ammunition.
Max: Okay. It's your call. But, look, if I see him pawing at anyone else like he did tonight, he's gonna find out I'm not just talk.
Morgan: I like a man who's not just talk.
Max: Look, I got to go, all right?
Morgan: No, no, you don't, not yet. Hurry back, okay?
Max: I will. [Chuckles]
Morgan: We're gonna find Chelsea, right?
Artemis: Stop it! Leave him alone!
DeMarquette: Stop hitting him!
Nick: Boys, run!
Guy: They were here all along, huh?
Nick: Boys, get out of here! Go! Uh! Leave my kids alone. Leave them alone!
Nick: Chelsea. Thank God.
Chelsea: Stop, stop, stop. Don't. It's a bomb. And if I move, it's gonna go off.
Kate: You're gonna hurt me? Forget about it.
E.J.: Wait. I'm not going to hurt you. We just need to do something that is going to make Lucas think that your life is in danger.
Kate: Such as?
E.J.: Look, Samantha believes the only way she can protect her family is to marry me. Lucas opposes that. Samantha is terrified of my father and the fact that he might hurt somebody in her family. Lucas doesn't share the same opinion.
Kate: Oh, I see. So, if, what, Stefano comes after me, then --
E.J.: Lucas is going to come around to Samantha's point of view.
Kate: And agree to let her marry you, or so you hope.
E.J.: Exactly. All that we need to do is show him exactly what is at stake.
Kate: Well, that's assuming that he's even going to care whether I live or die, E.J.
E.J.: Kate, he's your son, all right? He loves you.
Kate: Well, assuming that that's true, then what?
E.J.: Well, then we just need to set up some kind of encounter in which your life is threatened. You then go back to Lucas, frightened, upset, whatever else, and we're on our way.
Kate: [Sighs] I don't know. It could work.
E.J.: It could work? Kate, it will work. What do you say? Do we have a deal, hmm?
Kate: Lucas can never know.
E.J.: Lucas will never know.
Kate: I mean it. If he finds out, the deal is off.
E.J.: Listen to me. My lips are sealed, okay? All right, good. Now, listen, I'm gonna go make some arrangements. I'll call you when they're done.
Kate: What kind of arrangements?
