Chelsea: Oh, my God.

Nick: What? God, I'm really sorry. I am so sorry. Oh, my gosh. Jeez. I -- jeez. You were there, and I was there. And we were so close. And I should go. I'm gonna go, okay? Good luck with your calculus, okay? If you want to hit me, that's fine. Go ahead. Give me your best shot, because I deserve it.

Billie: And that is what makes Century Cell so different because with just a punch of a button, you can check any security camera in your home from anywhere you are, any time of day, 24/7.

Bo: Just by putting a code in my cellphone?

Billie: That's right. And if, God forbid, anything should happen, all you have to do is dial your panic code, and the system shuts down and locks all the windows and doors for you and dials 911.

Bo: Damn.

Billie: So, what do you think? And be honest with me.

Bo: I think this is great.

Billie: Really?

Bo: Yeah, it's weird nobody hasn't come up with something like this before. Congratulations. This thing is gonna be huge.

Billie: From your lips to God's ears.

Bo: And if this is possible, I'd like to be your first customer.

Billie: Really?

Bo: Yeah.

Billie: I think that would be great.

Bo: Okay, then.

Billie: But you know, you don't have to do this just 'cause we're friends and all.

Bo: Come on. It practically sells itself. When can we have this thing installed?

Billie: I can do it today. I have everything I need, and I've got the cameras in my car.

Bo: Hell, let's get going.

Lucas: Mom, you in here? I'll just leave her a little note. That's fine.

Kate: Lucas?

Lucas: Oh, hey. Uh, I was just gonna leave you a note.

Kate: Ahh, a note. What's it, a "Dear Mom," note, a note telling me that I'm out of your life forever? Because if it is, I don't blame you.

Sami: I don't know what you're talking about. I have told you a million times.

E.J.: Samantha, give it up. I just heard you kneeling there, praying to God that I am not the father of your child, so it's pretty obvious that you think I could be.

Sami: You're not. I know you're not.

E.J.: Why? 'Cause he's gonna answer your prayers, hmm? Is he gonna grant your wish that you and Lucas can live happily ever after and you can pretend that you and I were never together?

Sami: Together? We weren't together, E.J. you forced me.

E.J.: You can call it what you like. You and I both know the truth. And all the prayers in the world are not gonna stop what's meant to be.

Sami: Lucas and I are what's meant to be.

E.J.: See, I disagree. You are having a DiMera baby -- my son -- my son, who I will bring up to be just like his grandfather.

Sami: Over my dead body.

Nick: Okay, that time, that was you. That was definitely you. You kissed me.

Chelsea: Oh, my God. What is happening to me?

Nick: Um, that would be pheromones.

Chelsea: What?

Nick: It's a naturally occurring chemical conveying an airborne response that triggers something in the opposite sex --

Chelsea: Okay, stop. Stop. I need some time to think about this because I'm seriously starting to lose it. I don't get it. I've kissed millions of guys before, and they've never been like that. I mean, it's always been about the control thing, and I'm always in charge. But this was completely opposite. There was nice and yet, somehow better. How is that possible?

Nick: It's because you felt it. You felt the kiss.

Chelsea: Yeah, maybe. . . for the first time ever. And you know what?

Nick: What?

Chelsea: I liked it.

Nick: So did I.

Chelsea: No, Nick. Nick. That would be the worst possible thing that we could do.

Lucas: Did I just hear you right? Did you say that you wouldn't blame me?

Kate: I wouldn't blame you if you never spoke to me again. I've been a pretty terrible mother.

Lucas: I never said that.

Kate: I know you never said it. But I've made a lot of mistakes, not only with you, but with Austin and with Billie and with Philip. I guess, basically, I just couldn't accept the fact that you're adults and you no longer need me to protect you.

Lucas: I know it's not easy and it's hard for you, but --

Kate: It's hard -- it's hard for me to just let it go because you're my babies.

Lucas: I know.

Kate: See, there you go. I mean -- but you were my baby once.

Lucas: Yes, I know.

Kate: And. . . I don't know. It just seems like one day your children are crawling up on your lap and you're reading them stories, and the next day, they're. . . they're grown up, and they have lives and children of their own.

Lucas: Well you’ve lost us.

Kate: I've lost you. I pushed you away. And I'm never gonna forgive myself for that.

Bo: So, how much is this system gonna set me back? All this high-tech stuff -- it ain't cheap.

Billie: I know. I'm working on that. But you, my friend, today is your lucky day. It's not gonna cost you a dime.

Bo: You're quite a sales person

Bo: Come on. You got to at least let me.....

Billie: Oh, no.

Bo: How do you fire an investor?

Billie: I already have an investor.

Bo: Oh? Who? ?

Billie: Major corporation. That's why I need someone like you -- someone in law enforcement -- because that would go a long way into convincing them to back me.

Bo: Mm-hmm. Major corporation. Well, congratulations. Yeah, I'll be glad to endorse this, that is, of course, as long as it works.

Billie: Uh-huh. Listen to me. A few months ago, I never would have told anybody about this idea. But now I believe in it, and I believe in myself. And I guarantee you it's going to work.

Bo: Well, that's good enough for me.

Billie: Thank you for doing this.

Bo: Hey, you don't have to thank me. I mean, I could use the extra security for Hope and little doodlebug, especially when I'm out of town.

Billie: Are you going somewhere?

Bo: I'm waiting for Shawn to make contact.

Billie: You still haven't heard anything?

Bo: No, not since he left that message for me on the life raft saying that they were okay, which, by the way, needs to be kept quiet, especially from Philip and Victor.

Billie: I know.

Bo: Yeah.

Billie: Now, are you gonna convince them to come back with you?

Bo: I don't know. I'd like to 'cause I miss them, but they're better off wherever they are. I just need to get a statement from Shawn so I can nail Wells.

Billie: E.J.? I thought all the charges against him were dropped.

Bo: No. Only because Lockhart's too scared to testify against him, but if I get Shawn to sign a statement saying that they're working together, we can say goodbye to Elvis Jr. for good.

E.J.: Do you honestly believe that you can keep me away from my child?

Sami: Stop calling him that. And I will do whatever it takes to protect my child.

E.J.: I've got news for you, darling. So will I.

Sami: Bastard. I'm not gonna let you do it. I'm not gonna let you hurt me. I won't let you hurt my son! I'll kill you! I'll kill you! I'll kill you!

E.J.: Calm down!

Sami: You bastard. You sick monster. You have no business being inside this church.

E.J.: Nor do you, sweetheart. I find it laughable that I come in here and I find you kneeling, praying for redemption for a deal that you made with the devil.

Sami: You are the devil, and I gave you what you wanted, and yet you torture me. You force me to lie to the man that I love. You force me to betray my father for you.

E.J.: I made you do nothing. The truth would have set you free from your so-called torture. But you're as unfamiliar with that concept as I -- one of the many things that we have in common. It's interesting when you think about it. One has to wonder what the product of our unholy alliance is gonna look like, eh?

Sami: I will never let you near my child ever.

EJ: But you see, sweetheart, what you don't understand is that I'm not asking you. I'm telling you. And I'm gonna take my child whether you like it or not. Got that?

Nick: You're driving me crazy. You know that, right?

Chelsea: Look, maybe we should just get back to calculus. You did come here to tutor me, not to fool around, so. . .

Nick: That's what I was trying to do, but you're the one who --

Chelsea: But I what?

Nick: Nothing.

Chelsea: Okay, so, let's just get back to the books. Now, where were we? Low "d" high over. . . something. Um. . .

Nick: High "d" low.

Chelsea: High "d" low. High "d" low minus, um, low high "D. " God, could anything be any more complicated or make any less sense?

Nick: Yeah, I'm looking at her.

Chelsea: Are you gonna help me solve this problem or not?

Nick: No. Or. . . not until you help me solve this problem. Why would you tell me how much you like kissing me and then tell me that we can't do that anymore?

Chelsea: That's an easy one summed up in two words -- Shane Patton.

Lucas: Don't do this. Don't do this to yourself, please.

Kate: I just want you to understand that everything I've done, good or bad, I've done because I love you and because I want you to find some happiness in your life.

Lucas: I know. I know what you mean. As a parent, I'm going through the same thing with Will. I still treat him like a little kid, and he's in high school. I got to look at colleges now. And the prospect of him leaving the house, I don't know, it trips me out.

Kate: I know. Wait till it happens 'cause it's even worse. But you have a baby on the way, don't you? And you're gonna have a new one to love.

Lucas: And so will you, Mom.

Kate: I thought you said you didn't want me to have anything to do with the baby.

Lucas: I know I said I wanted you out of my life, but I didn't mean that. I don't want that, all right? I just want you to respect me, respect the choices I make in my life.

Kate: Choices like marrying Sami?

Lucas: Exactly like that choice, for one, yeah.

Kate: God, I want to respect that. I mean, I really do. I want to because I want to be the kind of mother that you deserve, but Sami is. . . I don't really know how to put this. . . very flawed, Lucas.

Lucas: Yeah. She's not the only one.

Billie: I don't understand. How would Shawn know anything about E.J.?

Bo: Well, he probably doesn't know much, but because he was a courier between him and Lockhart, he could prove that they worked together.

Billie: That doesn't sound like much to go on.

Bo: Well, it isn't, but if we can convince Lockhart that his boss is going down because of this statement, maybe he'll roll over and turn state's evidence, which is all we need to put Wells away.

Bo: What is the problem?

Billie: I have to tell you something. You know the major company that's interested in backing my system -- it's Mythic. I'm working with E.J.

Sami: E.J., why are you doing this? You aren't exactly the fatherly type, right? You've never had any interest in children, so why my baby? And don't give me this bull about carrying on the DiMera line because I'm not buying it.

E.J.: Trust me, Samantha. I have my reasons for wanting to be with this child.

Sami: Trust you? Are you kidding me? This is my baby we're talking about, and I have every right to know why you want my baby.

E.J.: He's going to be raised with his father and only with his father as a DiMera. Do we have that straight?

Nick: I think that you're just freaked out by that kiss.

Chelsea: What?

Nick: Yeah, I think that you're a little freaked out, and you liked it. And you're putting up walls --

Chelsea: Nick, that is so not what I'm doing. I just -- I can't trust you in that way.

Nick: What, like you've never lied before?

Chelsea: That's different.

Nick: How is it different?

Chelsea: Nick, you made me fall in love with somebody that didn't exist.

Nick: He does exist, Chelsea. I exist. I'm right here.

Chelsea: Stop trying to confuse me.

Nick: I'm not trying to confuse you.

Chelsea: Nick, you went out of your way to lie to me. You got my best friend to lie to me. And then, to top it all off, I almost got raped by your ex-boss, Dr. Pervert. How do you expect me to just forget that?

Nick: You're right. I wanted to tell you the truth so badly. I don't know why I couldn't.

Chelsea: But why didn't you?

Nick: Because I was scared. That's it. I was just scared.

Kate: Could you spare me the details? I know I'm not perfect.

Lucas: I'm not talking about you, all right? I was talking about myself.

Kate: Lucas, listen to me. You are a wonderful man. You are kind. You're considerate. You're great-looking. There's plenty of women out there who would overlook any small human frailties you might have. But, Lucas, Sami -- I mean --

Lucas: I know. Sami has had her problems in the past. I know that. But she's changed, I'm telling you. Look, I know she's a handful, but you should see her how I see her. She's smart, and she's funny. She's intelligent. She's compassionate, and she's beautiful. You taught me something a long time ago when I was a kid. It was a great lesson. No matter what goes wrong in life, the one thing I should never settle for is being bored -- is boredom. Well, I'm never bored with Sami. I'm telling you, she's full of surprises all the time.

Kate: Yeah, and her surprises usually turn out to be catastrophes.

Lucas: Really? All right, fine. You be the judge of this one then. Sami wanted me to give you this. It's an invitation to our wedding.

Kate: She wants me to come to the wedding?

Lucas: Yeah. Now who looks surprised?

Sami: You're insane. Your sick -- your whole family is crazy. You think I'm gonna let you have my baby? You think I'm just gonna hand him over to you?

E.J.: You will if you're smart, Samantha. And I think you're very, very smart.

Sami: What will you do if I don't? Are you gonna kill me?

E.J.: Kill you? There's no need to kill anybody.

Sami: You'll have to because I will fight you. With every last breath in my body, I will fight you. I will never let you take my child.

E.J.: The mother lion protecting her cubs. Admirable. But let's stop all this drama, shall we? You obviously seem to think you need some proof as to who the father is.

Sami: I'm gonna wait this entire pregnancy with your threats hanging over my head? No way.

E.J.: No, Samantha. We can get a DNA test through the amnio. We can find out the father immediately.

Sami: No. No! Are you crazy? No way am I gonna let that happen.

E.J.: No way? No. There is always a way, Samantha. On this occasion, it's my way. So, why don't we just end the suspense once and for all, eh?

Bo: E.J. Wells? This is a joke, right? He's the one you're working with on a home-security system?

Billie: It's no joke.

Bo: Oh, well, in that case, you can cancel my order.

Billie: What?

Bo: I'm sorry. I am not gonna do anything that will put a nickel in his Pocket, not even for you.

Billie: Come on, Bo.

Bo: How could you work with him knowing what he has done? He hires Lockhart to kidnap Hope and tries to kill her. He put a bullet in John Black and left him for dead.

Billie: I don't know anything, and neither do you. You said there's no evidence. So, in case anything has changed, as far as I'm concerned, you're innocent until proven guilty.

Bo: Come on, Billie. Don't be naive.

Billie: You've already got him tried and convicted because of some stupid grudge.

Bo: Grudge? Is that what he told you I had -- some kind of a grudge? He has hurt or tried to hurt people I care about, the last one being Steve.

Billie: Steve?

Bo: I see I finally got your attention.

Billie: What happened to Steve?

Bo: You know what? Why don't you visit him and find out for yourself? You'll find him at the State Hospital for the criminally insane. They got him locked up there because of your new business partner.

Chelsea: Nick, you are a lot of thing but a coward is not one of them.

Nick: I guess that shows how well you know me.

Chelsea: Actually, I do know you pretty well because I know you weren't afraid to stand up to that bartender the night that we first met at dune. I know you weren't afraid to take on Philip Kiriakis when we were trying to help Belle and Shawn. And I know that you weren't afraid to fight off Dr. Rebert when he was trying to attack me in his car. But you want me to believe that you're afraid of me?

Nick: Yes. I was afraid that if I told you the truth that you would hate me. I know that's lame, and it's hardly an excuse, but that's all I have. Haven't you ever wanted something so bad it made you crazy?

Chelsea: Nick, you know I have. I wanted my parents to be together so much that I did really horrible things. And that's why I can't be mad at you. And I'm not mad at you. I'm really happy to be your friend, but. . .

Nick: Don't say that.

Chelsea: I'm sorry.

Nick: Don't say you're sorry. Just tell me what I can to do make this up to you. How can I convince you to give me another chance?

Kate: I find it really hard to believe that Sami would want me to attend her wedding.

Lucas: She wants you to be there -- practically insisted.

Kate: She's up to something, Lucas.

Lucas: Great, here we go again.

Kate: No, I mean, how could she not be? It's her agenda. She probably wants to humiliate me in front of a whole lot of other people, just like she did at the mythic presentation.

Lucas: I'll tell you what I told her. I don't care if she humiliated you because you humiliated her when you set up that phony reality show.

Kate: Oh, come on. She should be ashamed. All I was trying to do was demonstrate --

Lucas: I don't want to talk about this anymore. I want this craziness to end. Sami and I both do. We want to call a permanent truce.

Kate: Why? Why now?

Lucas: I don't know, maybe 'cause we're getting married, about to have a baby. That might have something to do with it. Look, I know you're skeptical, okay? I understand that. But there's only one way to find out just how sincere she really is. . . go to the wedding. See what she's up to. See if she's got a trick up her sleeve, you know? You're not gonna do it, are you? Fine. Fine, I don't care anymore. I tried. We both tried, okay? We'd really like you to be there, but if you can't do it, forget it. Sorry I asked.

Kate: All right! All right. All right. I'll be there. I mean, I would love to come.

Lucas: Really?

Kate: Really. Really. And tell Sami. . . tell Sami I said thanks.

Lucas: Good. I'm very proud of you.

Kate: Oh, God.

Bo: Billie, I know how important it is for you to get your new business off the ground, but working with someone like Wells, you're putting your life in danger. I don't trust him or his motives.

Billie: Maybe you are right, but as far as I'm concerned, up until now, E.J. has been nothing but professional and a gentleman with me.

Bo: You don't sound too sure of that.

Billie: I don't care what you think. I think that he is being genuine with me.

Bo: Billie, are you falling for this guy?

Billie: Absolutely not.

Bo: Come on.

Billie: We have a business relationship. That's all this is.

Bo: Well, it shouldn't be that 'cause he's dangerous. He's a freakin' sociopath.

Billie: Again, we have no proof of this. Bo, this man wants to give me a chance. He believes in my business. And he is encouraging me to go further. And I'm gonna do just that with you or without you.

Bo: Yeah, I'll bet he's encouraged you.

Billie: What is that supposed to mean?

Bo: Tell me something. Putting this security system in my house -- whose idea was that -- yours or his?

Sami: I am not willing to risk a miscarriage or risk this child in any way.

E.J.: An amnio? Don't be ridiculous, Samantha. It's a common, simple procedure. There's hardly any risk at all.

Sami: But there is a risk, and you may be willing to take it, but I'm not, especially when it's completely unnecessary.

E.J.: I think it's entirely necessary, thank you, for everybody involved to get the situation settled as quickly as possible.

Sami: It's not what's right for the baby. And the fact that you are willing to risk this child's life just to satisfy our own ego proves --

E.J.: To satisfy my own ego? I need time to get ready.

Sami: Get ready for what?

E.J.: Why, for becoming a father, of course.

Sami: What have you got planned? What are you planning for my child?

E.J.: I'm getting bored of you, so you get me the answer within 48 hours.

Sami: An amnio takes a long time. It takes at least a week to get the results, E.J.

E.J.: I don't care. Get the ball rolling. Do you understand me? Do you understand what happens if you don't? I'm gonna tell Lucas everything.

Sami: Wait a second. You don't want the truth to come out any more than I do. Oh, sure, you have a version of what happened that night. And I bet you're right. Lucas will probably believe it. But I have a version that the police would be interested to hear, don't I?

E.J.: 48 hours. 48 hours.

Nick: Chelsea, I told you I'm sorry, and I meant it. I will do anything I can to prove myself to you. Just please tell me that, that wasn't our last kiss.

Chelsea: Would you really do anything?

Nick: Yes, I will do anything. I will run with the bulls. I will ski down Mt. Everest.

Chelsea: I didn't know you knew how to ski.

Nick: I can't. But that's what I'm saying. I will do anything for you. I will risk my neck for you.

Chelsea: I don't want you to risk your neck. I just want one thing, but it's -- it's really important.

Nick: I'm ready. Lay it on me.

Chelsea: Just promise me that no matter what, you'll never keep any secrets from me ever again. That's the only way that I can give you a second chance is if you promise me that I will never find out anything.

Billie: E.J. did not send me here. In fact, he expressly told me not to approach you with this idea because he knew that you would just dismiss it the minute you found out he was involved.

Bo: Billie, I'm not dismissing it. I think it's a great idea. I would love to help you. You got to know that.

Billie: Yeah, but not if it means helping the enemy at the same time, right? Yeah. Okay. Okay, thanks. You know what? I-I-I-I thank you for your time, and no hard feelings, okay?

Bo: It's not hard feelings that I'm worried about. I'm worried about your life.

Billie: I really need to go.

Billie: I appreciate your concern, but if E.J. is responsible for so many crimes, why don't you just arrest him?

Bo: I'm trying.

Billie: Well, until you do, I can take care of myself.

Bo: No, Billie, I'm afraid this time you can't.

E.J.: Kate, sorry I'm late. Something I had to take care of. Now I'm all yours. Shall we start with the quarterly projections? What's up? You seem a little distracted.

Kate: I am a little distracted.

E.J.: What's this, hmm?

Kate: It's an invitation delivered by Lucas -- a wedding invitation from Sami.

E.J.: She wants you to come?

Kate: Apparently so. And I have to wonder what the little snake is up to.

Lucas: Honey, I can't believe you're still here. I saw your car outside. Listen, I got great news for you. I talked to my mom about the wedding, and she's gonna come.

Sami: Lucas --

Lucas: Wait a minute. Why are you crying? What's the matter?

Sami: We have to get out of here now.

Lucas: I'll take you home. Come on.

Sami: No, we have to leave Salem as soon as possible.

Lucas: I'm not leaving Salem.

Sami: Lucas, please, let's just go, okay?

Lucas: Why are you doing this? A half-hour ago, everything was fine, and you were okay with getting married. What happened?

Sami: Everything has changed. We have to leave as soon as we can, please.

Lucas: I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what's going on.

Nick: Chelsea, I swear to you, I will never lie to you or keep anything from you ever again. Do you believe me?

Chelsea: I want to. I really do.

Nick: Look at me. Do you ever think that I would ever hurt you?

Chelsea: Not intentionally, no. Yeah. I believe you.

Nick: Sweet. So. . . can we make out now?

Chelsea: I'll tell you what -- as long as you can keep that promise, you don't have ask or have an excuse.

Nick: Oh, I'll keep it. You don't have to worry about that.

Chelsea: Oh, my God. Seriously, who would have thought you could kiss like that?

Nick: There's more where that came from.

Chelsea: No, no, Nick, I'm sure there is, but, um. . . don't you think that we should save some for next time?

Nick: Next time. Right. Yeah. I like that. Next time.

Chelsea: Okay.

Nick: Okay. What about calculus?

Chelsea: I, uh, I don't think that I can focus on that right now.

Nick: Yeah, me neither, clearly.

Chelsea: Okay, so, um. . . good night, Nick.

Nick: Good night, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Nick Fallon? Go figure.

Billie: Hey. I just ran into Nick outside. It sounds like the tutoring went really well. Hello? Earth to Chelsea.

Chelsea: Oh. Hi, Mom.

Billie: You look happy. You know, Nick told me about the kiss.

Chelsea: Yep. Who would have thought?

Billie: Me, actually. And you know what? I couldn't be happier because I think he is a great guy. Abby! It's Nick. I need to talk to you right away. Call me back.

Chelsea: You were right all along, Mom.

Billie: I told ya.

Chelsea: Nick is, um, definitely different from all the other guys. I wonder how I got so lucky.

E.J.: Oh, come on now. Isn't it possible that Samantha's intentions are genuine?

Kate: Oh, God, I should have known you'd defend her. You always have had a soft spot for her, haven't you?

E.J.: What can I tell you? I like her spunk.

Kate: Spunk. Spunk is overrated.

E.J.: Oh, really?

Kate: Sometimes. Huh. Okay. Look, I'm not gonna pretend that I'm not attracted to her -- or I was until she got engaged to Lucas.

Kate: Attracted to her? You want her. . . desperately.

E.J.: Not this time. Samantha's made it very clear that she's committed to Lucas, and you know how much I respect that.

Kate: Ahh. Really?

E.J.: So, tell me, you're not afraid she's gonna hurt him, are you?

Kate: I know she's going to hurt him.

E.J.: Don't give it very much thought, Kate. This wedding happy in the knowledge that she's never going to betray him again

Sami: Lucas, I don't have time. Please, let's just go. Let's just get out of here.

Lucas: Wait a minute. Stop! You better make time.

Sami: I was thinking about what we had been talking about before about the wedding and all those people making fun of me.

Lucas: Honey, it's not gonna be a problem, I promise you that, okay?

Sami: It's for the rest of our lives. We will never find happiness in Salem.

Lucas: What happened to all that stuff we talked about --am to believe we can have that somewhere else. Please.

Lucas: You want to leave? You want to leave your family and your friends and your mother, your grandparents?

Sami: We'll be so happy, and it'll be you and me and Will and this baby. We can start somewhere else. We just have to pack a bag and go.

Lucas: Go where?

Sami: Anywhere. We'll not come back to Salem ever again. Please?

Lucas: You're scared of somebody, and I think I know who it is. E.J. Wells.

E.J.: If you tell anybody about this conversation, then neither you nor your baby will make it through the year. And I will not have you tell her about us.

Nick: I'm sorry, Billie. I need to do this.

Sami: I need your help.

Celeste: I know. That's why I'm here.
