Mimi: Hi, Max. Ooh. Still at it, huh?
Max: Yeah, I didn't know you were there.
Mimi: Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you.
Max: No, it's okay. I'm glad to see you. What's going on?
Mimi: Oh, nothing. My family's driving me crazy.
Max: You mean more than usual?
Mimi: Yeah, Patrick's in jail. My mother's wigging out. My little brother, Conner, just got home from reform school, promptly got arrested, and announced that he wants to be a bronco buster, and, meanwhile, my deadbeat dad is still nowhere to be found, so, yeah, the circus is definitely in town.
Max: I'm sorry.
Mimi: Me too. I know my family needs me right now, but, Max, just sometimes I feel like they really just suck the life out of me. And, you know, if I had anywhere to stay tonight besides that place, I would not go back to that nuthouse. [Sighs]
Stephanie: Anyway, I'm glad you guys made it, finally. Maggie nearly gave away our table.
Steve: Well, it's your mother's fault we're late.
Kayla: My fault? I was ready on time. Don't listen to him.
Steve: Yeah, but when you came out of the bedroom looking like a billion dollars, it took me about a half an hour --
Kayla: Shh! Quiet, quiet!
Stephanie: That's great, Dad. But, actually, I asked you two to dinner because I have some really important news -- news I hope you'll be happy about.
Abby: You slept with Chelsea's mom, Nick.
Nick: What are you talking about? I have no idea what you're talking about. Like I could ever get a woman like that. What makes you think that I could ever --
Abby: This is what makes me think, Nick. Where's your belt?
Nick: At the gym.
Abby: Oh, yeah, right. When was the last time you worked out? It's at the Lockharts' place, and I want you to tell me the truth. I am your friend and your cousin.
Nick: Okay. Okay, I'm sorry. It happened, but only once.
Bo: Hey, Billie. Got your message.
Bo: What's going on?
Billie: I'm sorry to take you away from Hope and the new baby, but --
Bo: Oh, not to worry. Actually, they kind of kicked me out of the house. Mrs. H., Julie, and half the neighbor ladies were there. They're having some kind of baby/mommy kind of -- I don't know -- something. What's going on?
Billie: Well, okay. Good news first.
Bo: All right.
Billie: Chelsea and I have found our own apartment.
Bo: Hey, that is good news.
Billie: It is really good news, and I'm happy about that. I really am. It's just, uh...
Billie: Well, you know that whole Steve thing.
Bo: I knew that hit you hard, but I thought you were dealing with that okay?
Billie: I was. I put on a good face, really. But it kind of fell apart after I got his letter that said, "Dear Billie, so sorry things didn't work out, but I really hope we can still be friends."
Bo: I'm sorry.
Billie: Yeah, pretty much killed me. So I...I drank a bottle of wine.
Bo: Oh, no, not good.
Billie: No, I know. It was stupid. It was stupid. All those years of sobriety and I ruined it over some --
Bo: Hold on, wait. You didn't ruin anything. You slipped, that's all. It happens, especially when you're at a low point. The important thing is you didn't drink today, right?
Billie: I wanted one. But, no, I did not.
Bo: Good, good. I'm proud of you.
Billie: I'm afraid I'm gonna do it, though, you know?
Bo: You know what? Why don't we get out of here?
Billie: What? Why? Where are we going?
Bo: We're going to an A.A. meeting.
Billie: Right now?
Bo: Yeah, right now. There's one at the church in a little bit. Let's go. Come on.
Abe: Sweetheart, just try to relax. You're gonna be fine.
Lexie: I'm just feeling a lot of pressure, you know. I mean, it's a huge responsibility being the only eyewitness to a crime.
Abe: Yeah, I know it is. But if you can identify E.J. as John's assailant, there won't be anywhere in the world he can hide. We'll get help from the FBI, Interpol.
Lexie: Yeah, yeah. I know, I know.
Abe: Lexie... You're our whole case. Without your testimony, we may not be able to put him away.
Lexie: What if I've made a mistake, Abe? What happens then?
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Abe: Lex...look at me. Sweetheart? Now, what you have to do is put yourself back at the boathouse the night of the shooting. Just tell Roman what you saw.
Lexie: Yeah, right.
Abe: You know I can't be there with you.
Lexie: I know. I'll be okay.
Abe: Are you sure?
Abe: I've got some business I got to take care of.
Lexie: Now? Sweetheart, it's so dark outside. Your eyesight.
Abe: Don't worry about me. I'm gonna be fine, all right? I'll be back soon.
Lexie: A-Abe? I love you.
Abe: I love you.
Roman: Hey, Lexie.
Roman: So, you ready to look at some pictures?
Lexie: Yeah, but if you don't mind, I'd like to make a phone call first.
Roman: Sure, I'll be in my office.
Lexie: It's me. I'm about to do the lineup for Roman. Can you stay on the line?
Tek: I'm not going anywhere.
Lexie: Look, we have to be sure that it was E.J. you saw that night, okay? We have to be.
Abby: Wow, Nick, you actually slept with Chelsea's mom.
Nick: Hey, can you please be quiet?
Abby: That is so wrong on so many levels.
Nick: Okay, I didn't plan on this happening. It just -- it kind of just happened.
Abby: It just happened?
Nick: Yes, we were talking and then we...we connected. And then one thing led to another.
Abby: This isn't gonna be a regular thing, is it?
Nick: No, no, of course not. I'm in love with Chelsea.
Abby: Nick, Chelsea thought that her mom had a hot date last night. What if she finds out that --
Nick: She won’t. She will not find out. I'm not gonna tell her. Billie's not gonna tell her. And you are the only other person who knows, so please, please, please, please, Abby, tell me that you won't tell her. Please?
Stephanie: Mmm. How incredible is this cake?
Steve: Come on. What are you waiting for? You said you had big news, and dinner's almost over here.
Stephanie: Well, I know, but I wanted to save the best for last.
Steve: Okay, so spill. The suspense is killing me.
Stephanie: Come on, Dad. You can't guess? What would make me happier than almost anything in the world?
Steve: Um...that piece of chocolate death cake with no calories.
Stephanie: Okay, besides that.
Steve: I don't know. I give up.
Kayla: Come on, come on, come on. Observe the clues that have been laid before you. Our daughter is glowing. She's so excited, she's about to burst, and there's this sparkle in her eye. I think she's pregnant.
Max: [Clears throat]
Mimi: I know that sounds awful -- me wanting to bail on my family.
Max: Yeah, I've been there.
Max: Sure. I mean, you love them and all. It's just sometimes you need a break.
Mimi: I'm sorry for dumping my problems on you again, the second time in one day. I just felt like I would go crazy if I stayed in that house a second longer.
Max: Look -- if you really don't want to go home tonight, there is a solution. Why don't you just stay with me?
Steve: Pregnant? As in having a baby?
Stephanie: Well, that is what "pregnant" means, Dad.
Steve: You're not even married.
Stephanie: Dad, of course I'm not pregnant.
Steve: Oh, man. You women are evil. You trying to give me a conniption fit here?
Kayla: I was just trying to lighten the mood. I thought you knew that I was kidding.
Stephanie: You should have seen the look on your face.
Steve: I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Stephanie: But, you know, mom actually did you a favor, because now when you hear the real news, it might go over a little easier.
Steve: Okay, what's the real news? I guess I can handle anything now.
Stephanie: I got a job offer to join a new racing team. I said yes, and I'm moving to Dayton.
Steve: Anything but that.
Abby: Oh, Nicky, of course you can trust me. I wouldn't tell anyone. Who would believe it anyway?
Nick: Oh, thanks a lot.
Abby: I didn't mean it like that. Let me ask you something. What was it like?
Nick: Excuse me?
Abby: You know, I mean, was it weird sleeping with Chelsea's mom?
Roman: All right. There you go. Okay, Lexie. What's your verdict? Can you I.D. the man you saw in the boathouse?
Lexie: Roman, I know what E.J. looks like. I've met him, okay? Even if I hadn't, his picture is everywhere.
Roman: Yeah --
Lexie: Not to mention we are related. I am a DiMera, too, remember? So please stop treating me like an idiot.
Roman: Lexie...where in the hell is this coming from? I'm not trying to put you on the spot. It's just that you might be the only person who can put this man behind bars.
Lexie: Yes, yes, a fact I'm very well aware of.
Roman: Then all I need you to do is look at those pictures, say, "E.J. Wells is this man," and "E.J. Wells is the man I saw shoot John." It's called positive identification -- very simple.
Lexie: No, Roman. It's not that simple, okay? Look...I-I just need some time, okay?
Lexie: Yeah. 5 minutes to myself to clear my head, to be sure. Will you give me that, please?
Mimi: Hmm. Well, that's really nice of you to offer, Max, but --
Max: Look, you need a break from your crazy family. I got the room. So why not? Just --
[Knock on door]
Abe: Oh, Max, Mimi. I'm glad you're both here. I hope I'm not interrupting.
Max: No, not at all. What's going on?
Abe: I wanted to give you an update about that skeleton you found in the church basement.
Mimi: Did you figure out who he was?
Abe: We sent the bones in for analysis. It might be a month or more before we have any answers.
Max: That long?
Abe: Forensics is busy. And this isn't exactly a high-priority case.
Mimi: What about the ring that we found on him? Did you trace it to anyone?
Abe: Actually, that gets very interesting. It turns out the ring was stolen and definitely not during the Civil War.
Stephanie: I'll be starting off in the pit crew, and if all goes as planned, then I'll be racing again soon, and the sooner the better because I'm so ready, and...are you gonna say anything?
Kayla: Yes, of course. Congratulations. It's just all so sudden. When would you have to go?
Stephanie: Well, they want me right away, so as soon as possible.
Kayla: Right away.
Stephanie: Well, I mean, that's not gonna be a problem, is it? I guess I thought now that you two are back together and dad has his memory back and everything, that you guys could do without me for a while.
Kayla: Stephanie, um...
Stephanie: Dad is okay, isn't he? I mean, I don't have anything else to worry about with you guys.
Kayla: No. You don't have anything to worry about. I have to say, though, I'm not happy at the prospect of you racing again. But I know it makes you happy. And if that's what you want...
Stephanie: More than anything in the world.
Kayla: Then I'll be happy for you.
Stephanie: Thanks, Mom. Dad, you haven't said anything. Are you okay with this?
Nick: Being with Chelsea's mom wasn't weird at all. In fact, it was [Sighs] It was great. It was actually completely, completely incredible. It made me feel like a real man.
Abby: Well, you certainly acted like one. Yelling at Chelsea the way you did? Nick, this could be a brand-new beginning for you. I mean, this could change your life.
Nick: I doubt it.
Nick: Because I'm in love with someone who never wants to see me again.
Mimi: So, how do you know that the ring was stolen?
Abe: Well, after you gave it to me, I took it down to robbery division, and they identified it as a ring that was reported missing or stolen six years ago.
Max: Six years?
Abe: Yeah, the man who reported it missing still lives in Salem. He came down. He not only I.D.'d the ring, but he had a receipt for its purchase.
Mimi: So, our guy in the church cellar wasn't killed that long ago.
Abe: Exactly. But we're still left with a lot of questions. I mean, how was the ring stolen in the first place? Did he steal it, anger the wrong people, and get himself killed? Or did he come by it honestly and, if so, how? I mean, either way, it could be a clue as to how he ended up the way he did.
Max: Well, so, what do we do now?
Abe: Well, the first thing is we reopen the robbery investigation and try to discover where and when the ring was stolen. Maybe that will lead us to something. But in the meantime, Miriam, I can really use your help.
Roman: Lexie...listen to me. I don't get this. Why in the hell do you need time alone with these pictures? Can't you just look at them and make a decision?
Lexie: Roman, look, I told you, I just need some time to be sure, okay? Look, all I'm asking for is a little time -- 5 minutes.
Roman: All right, Lexie. Fine, you got it. I'll be back.
Lexie: You still there?
Tek: I'm here. So, do you see E.J.'s picture?
Lexie: Yeah, yeah, it's right here in the lineup. He's one of them.
Tek: Okay, good, so just tell Roman he's the guy you saw at the boathouse.
Lexie: Tek, I need to know that you're certain, okay? Look, I'm the one sticking my neck out here, okay?
Tek: I don't know what your problem is. I told you the night John was shot it was E.J. I saw through the window.
Lexie: No, you said you thought it was E.J. I need you to be absolutely sure, Tek.
Billie: Well, that was good. I'm glad you made me go. I feel...better about that, anyway.
Bo: Well, the program works. It's gonna take more than one meeting to get back on track, but I'm sure you can do it. I have faith.
Billie: Maybe you shouldn’t.
Bo: Why do you say that?
Billie: Because there's just one other little thing. Well, it's not so little.
Bo: What is it?
Billie: And I...I did something in my less-than-sober moment that I'm not very proud of. I hooked up with a guy.
Bo: Like a one-night stand. Okay, you're an adult. You're single. You're beautiful. What's the problem?
Billie: Thanks for the compliment. It's just that he was somebody I shouldn't have encouraged.
Bo: Why not?
Billie: He's younger.
Bo: How much younger?
Billie: Really young... but legal, but still really very young...and inexperienced.
Bo: Wow, lucky guy.
Billie: Bo, this isn't funny. Please.
Bo: Okay, sorry. You're obviously upset. Did he do something that he shouldn't have?
Billie: No, he was...very sweet...and naive and, see, that's the problem. He is a kid compared to me. And all he was doing was just being nice and trying to make me feel better about myself, and I --
Bo: You got carried away.
Billie: Yeah. And it shouldn't have happened. I shouldn't have involved him in my drama, Bo, and it was wrong. So wrong.
Abby: You know, it amazes me that, after all this time, you still don't get what goes on in Chelsea's brain. She was impressed when you had the guts to stand up to her.
Nick: Did you talk to her?
Abby: Yeah, and you know what? She expects you to come groveling back to her, which you shouldn’t.
Nick: Well, I won’t. I mean...I won’t.
Abby: Let her come to you. And do not give in until she promises to treat you with respect.
Nick: Yeah, like that's gonna happen.
Abby: It might. I mean, you never know with the new-and-improved Nick Fallon.
Nick: Okay, even if that did happen, which I doubt, she's never gonna forgive me for sleeping with her mother.
Abby: Yeah, that's a problem. But like you said, she'll never know.
Nick: No, she won't know. But I will, and that's bad enough.
Stephanie: Dad, answer me. Are you okay with this?
Steve: [Sighs] I'm not gonna lie to you. I'm gonna miss you. You're my baby girl. I'm just getting to know you again. When I think about all those years we lost all the time I was away --
Stephanie: What am I thinking? I cannot go. I'm not gonna take the job.
Steve: No, no, you got to take the job. No, listen, it's for the best. What I mean is you, you know, you got to follow your dream. You got to do your thing. That's what you have to do. So you go out there and you kick some ass on that track like I know you can.
Stephanie: You're sure?
Steve: Yeah. There are planes to Dayton, right?
Steve: Yeah, so we'll fly to Dayton and see you. You'll probably see us there more than you ever did here. So much, you'll be sick of us.
Stephanie: That could never happen. I love you guys so much. And I will come and visit you every chance I get, all the time.
Steve: We love you, too, baby girl. We'll always be a family, no matter how far apart. Nobody can take that away from us.
Kayla: Just promise us you'll be careful.
Stephanie: I will, extra careful.
Kayla: Well, I think that this calls for another piece of chocolate cake.
Stephanie: You know what? I would love to, but I actually told some of my friends I would meet up with them. Is that okay?
Kayla: Of course it is. You have fun.
Stephanie: All right. Good night.
Kayla: Love you.
Tek: Lexie, for the last time, E.J.'s the guy I saw at the boat house, so why are you sweating it?
Lexie: Because the police keep saying that my testimony is the only thing that can put him away, but I'm not the one who saw him.
Tek: That's true, but I --
Lexie: Tek, I have too much at stake to be wrong about this. And I know you too well to just trust you at your word.
Tek: Lexie, it's him. It's E.J. Wells. You can swear to it.
Roman: All right, Lexie, how about it? Are you ready to testify that E.J.'s the one you saw?
Roman: I do need an answer.
Lexie: Yes. Yes, I am sure now. I saw E.J. Wells shoot John.
Mimi: Well, of course, Abraham, I would love to help with the case, but, you know, we've told you everything we know.
Abe: Well, you mentioned before that when you found the ring on that skeleton, it seemed familiar somehow.
Mimi: Yeah, as soon as I picked it up, I got that déjà vu feeling. It was weird.
Max: Right, it kind of freaked you out.
Abe: Well, you know, this is a long shot, but maybe you know the man who lost it. His name is Harold Cavenau. He's 80 years old, poor health, in and out of the hospital over the last 10 years.
Mimi: That doesn't ring a bell. Maybe I just thought the ring looked familiar. I don't know.
Abe: Well, then again, gut instincts are often right. I mean, we rely on them all the time in police work. So, try to trust those feelings, Mimi. Maybe you can dig a little bit deeper in your memory.
Mimi: I will try, Abe, but I don't know how much good it'll do.
Abe: Okay. Well, let me know if something comes to you, hmm?
Mimi: Of course, right away.
Abe: Okay, I will be in touch.
Mimi: Thank you.
Max: Thanks so much. [Door opens] [Door closes]
Mimi: I don't know about you, but all this talk about murder and skeletons is really starting to give me the creeps.
Max: So why don't you just take me up on my offer? Why don't you come hang out with me tonight, and I swear I'll protect you, hmm?
Bo: Look, Billie, none of us is perfect, and sometimes we make a mistake or two that we might regret, but I don't think this is one of those cases. You're being too hard on yourself.
Billie: What makes you so sure?
Bo: [Chuckles] Let me tell you a story. I don't think I've ever told anybody this. It happened when I was 15.
Bo: Salem had this huge blizzard, dumped about three feet of snow. I was out cleaning drives. 5 bucks, 10 bucks a pop. I was pretty close to finished, walking home, and I see this neighbor lady struggling to clean her driveway. And I knew she wouldn't have any help 'cause her husband died in 'Nam and she had a couple little kids, so I go over and offered to shovel her driveway for free.
Billie: That's very nice of you.
Bo: I'm a nice guy. Anyway, when I was finished, she said, "come on inside," said she'd give me some cider and some doughnuts. The kids weren't there, so it ended up being just the two of us sitting at her kitchen table talking. She's kind of a little cute, you know? Funny and smart and...very sexy.
Billie: Oh, my God. She seduced you, didn't she?
Bo: Would you let me tell -- well, yeah.
Bo: She, um, she rubbed my shoulders. She told me I was kind and sweet and she started talking about how lonely it was without her husband around, and one thing led to another.
Billie: Oh, my God. She traumatized you for life. Great story, Bo. Thanks a lot.
Abby: Nick, give yourself a break. You lost your virginity. That's not so bad. I mean, if anything, you should feel more confident about your chances with Chelsea.
Nick: I'm never gonna be what Chelsea wants.
Abby: I'm sorry. Wasn't she in love with Lonely Splicer before you even sent her a photo?
Nick: What is your point?
Abby: My point is that she loves you, Nick, for who you are inside. She just doesn't know it yet. And like I keep saying, before I'm going to scream, just get rid of that fake Shane Patton guy and give her a chance to find out.
Nick: You make it sound so easy.
Abby: That is the easy part.
Nick: What's the hard part?
Abby: Chelsea's mom. Nick, how are you ever gonna face her again?
Nick: Oh, I'm not going to. I intend on avoiding that woman for the next 60 years.
Steve: Stephanie's gonna be fine, sweetness. You know how I know? 'Cause the way you raised her up.
Kayla: So many times I wondered if I was doing the right thing, if I was being a good mother. I still do.
Steve: Oh, come on, baby. Don't ever wonder that. You're a fantastic mother who only wants what's best for her child. You proved that again tonight because you let her go and do her thing when it would have been so easy to try to keep her here.
Kayla: Like if I would have told her what's going on with you? These episodes? She wouldn't have gone. But I don't want her to worry. But I still worry about you. I'm just so afraid of losing you again. And this thing has me scared to death.
Roman: So, what changed?
Lexie: What do you mean?
Roman: Well, you know what? A few minutes ago, you weren't sure about anything. Now you are. What made up your mind?
Lexie: I told you, I needed some time to clear my head, which is exactly what I did. You know, I took a good, hard look at the photos and I realized my initial instinct was right. E.J. shot John, period. Now, can I go?
Roman: Yeah. Yeah, go ahead, Lexie. You can go.
Lexie: Thank you.
Max: Well, just give me a couple of minutes to wash up, and then we'll head back to my place.
Mimi: Are you sure you don't mind?
Max: No, for the last time, Mimi, no. I even buffed up the place, just in case you'd drop by.
Mimi: You did that for me?
Max: I even did the sheets.
Mimi: Wow, I'm impressed.
Max: And there's food in the fridge. There's clean sheets on the bed and, um, and on the sofa in the living room 'cause that's where I'll stay and you can have the bedroom. How's that sound?
Tek: So, how'd it go?
Lexie: It's over. I pointed the finger at E.J. I just hope you know what you're talking about, Tek.
Tek: No doubt in my mind. You're gonna be okay.
Lexie: Yeah, easy for you to say. I'll be living in fear every day that he'll be brought back for trial and I'm the one who will have to bury him and you don't even have to show up.
Tek: Lexie, you're the one who wanted this. I could have hung around that night and told the cops myself what I saw, but you were so afraid of Abe knowing I was anywhere near you.
Lexie: Okay, look, all I'm saying is it's not gonna be easy, okay? It's just not.
Tek: Okay, listen, I know, but, baby, if you need me or you need somebody to talk to, I'm here. You know that.
Lexie: Tek, as far as I'm concerned, we have spoken for the last time. Don't ever call me again.
Abe: Well, sweetheart, how'd it go?
Lexie: Oh, great. It went fine. I'm just really tired. I want to go home. Will you come with me? You must be exhausted.
Abe: You know, I told you before, I'm fine. I've got some business to take care of here, so you just go ahead. I'll have one of the officers drive me home later.
Lexie: All right, all right. If you're sure.
Abe: I'm really proud of you. You did the right thing.
Lexie: Well, I'll see you at home.
Roman: Partner, we got to talk. I'm worried about your wife.
Bo: You really got to let a guy finish his story. After this little experience, this woman met a nice guy, and, I don't know, six months or so later, she got married.
Billie: Hooray for happily ever after.
Bo: The point of my story is I was walking around like I was king of the world.
Billie: You were?
Bo: Yeah, I was not traumatized by this experience, just the opposite. I mean, I was filled with a lot of confidence, more confidence than any pep talk from my pop could give me.
Bo: Really, so this young man of yours, I wouldn't worry too much about him. He's probably walking pretty tall right now. So don't beat yourself up.
Bo: You're welcome.
Billie: Maybe you're right. Maybe I actually did something good for someone for once.
Bo: I'd bet on it.
Billie: Thanks. You always know how to make me feel better.
Bo: Hey, you've been there for me plenty of times.
Billie: So, she got married six months later, huh?
Bo: Yeah, nice guy.
Billie: Hey, there's hope for all of us.
Steve: Oh, sweetness. Come on.
Kayla: I'm sorry. I don't mean to have a whole breakdown here.
Steve: Come on, you don't have to apologize. You've been staying strong for Stephanie all these years. You don't have to do that with me. You feel like getting upset, you get upset.
Kayla: Thank you.
Steve: You know what? Nothing in this world, not even the sun burning out of the sky, can tear us apart now. You know, these -- whatever you call them -- episodes, they're under control. I'm sure of it.
Kayla: But what if they're not?
Steve: We'll figure it out. We'll take care of it. There's nothing we can't do together, sweetness.
Kayla: I needed to hear that.
Steve: I think I need a drink.
Steve: How about a brandy?
Kayla: That sounds good.
Steve: Okay, you stay there. Two brandies, please. ["Jingle bells" plays]
Nick: Ah! Yes! Success! [Laughs] Oh, my God. This is great. [Banging]
Mimi: Forget it. There's no way I'm kicking you out of your bed. I'll take the sofa. It's not a big deal. I'm just thrilled to get out of the loony bin for one night. And to show my appreciation, I would like to do something nice for you.
Max: Oh, yeah? Well, what's that?
Mimi: Well, why don't we get some groceries and I can make you a late dinner? Do you like...pasta?
Max: I love it.
Mimi: Great, then we'll make a night of it -- a nice dinner, definitely dessert, and maybe we can watch a movie, just you and me.
Max: Maybe, maybe, yeah. I think that sounds incredible.
Max: Okay, so, let me go get washed up, and then we'll be out of here.
Mimi: Okay. [Dialing] Mom, it's me. I'm not gonna be home tonight, so don't wait up for me.
Nick: Oh, my God. This is great. ["Jingle bells" plays] [Music ends] Whoa, Steve, what's wrong with you?
Steve: [Breathing heavily] I'm sorry. The sound of that thing was just driving me kind of crazy. I'm sorry. I hope that will cover it.
Kayla: Oh. Thank you.
Steve: There we go. To the most beautiful woman ever put on the earth.
Kayla: Well, I'll accept that, but I'd like to make the real toast. To the most wonderful, kind, loving husband a girl could ever ask for.
Steve: I'll drink to that. I don't know what I ever did to deserve you.
Kayla: Are you all right? You're kind of sweating.
Steve: What? Oh, it must be the brandy, huh? You know I always sweat a little when you sit so close.
