Chelsea: [Sneezes] The hall of records? Abby, this is more like the hall of dust.
Abby: Okay, there's one pile for each of us -- all the properties in Victor's name in the county.
Stephanie: Let's hope Victor's got Max and Mimi locked up someplace nearby. He has holdings as far as Greece.
Chelsea: What a way to spend Christmas.
Abby: You know, bringing Max home is the best gift we can give to the Brady’s.
Chelsea: Yeah, and you wouldn't mind scoring a few big points with Max, either, right?
Abby: They're our friends, and they're missing. We can split up your pile if you don't want to help, Chelsea.
Chelsea: Don't get your thong in a twist, Abby. They're my friends, too. Of course I want to help.
Abby: Well, then, shut up and start helping.
Max: [Chuckles] We're gonna be home for Christmas, Mimi.
Mimi: There's got to be something behind that wall.
Max: Well, there's got to be a reason why somebody built this. It's blocking a door or a window or something.
Max: [Laughs] What do you see?
Mimi: Nothing. The hole's too small.
Max: Well, let's do round two, then, huh?
Mimi: Why would someone set up a wall against a door? It doesn't make any sense.
Max: [Groans] Okay.
Max: Oh, that's my shoulder. I think I pulled something.
Mimi: Are you okay? Do you want me to -- I can rub it or something.
Max: No, that's -- no, that's cool. Just give me a couple minutes to work it out.
Mimi: Sure. Meanwhile, why don't I try?
Max: [Laughs] 'Cause you're just gonna be wasting your time, Mimi. I ju-- well, I -- you barely made a dent.
Sami: Come on, Lucas. I'm gonna be fine.
Lucas: Yeah, that's right you will 'cause you're not going through with this.
John: Listen, Lucas, the authorities can promise you --
Lucas: Listen to me -- I promise you, you, and you that you're not gonna put Sami's neck on the line just to try to set up E.J. Wells again.
Roman: Lucas, we'll have them meet in a public place.
Lucas: I don't care where they meet.
Abe: No, it's okay. It's just water.
Sami: I'll be completely safe.
Bo: We'll have our guys all around her. If something happens, we'll stop it right there.
Lucas: Would you really say that if this was Hope? Would you feel the same way?
Bo: Come on, Lucas.
Lucas: No, you wouldn’t. And for the last time, I'm telling everybody -- I'm not gonna let you put the woman I care about in danger.
[Knock on door]
E.J.: William. Is your mother about?
Will: Uh, not here. Sorry.
E.J.: Ah, well, perhaps you could -- perhaps you could explain something for me. Your mother was in Talladega with me, and she said that she needed to leave in a hurry because her son had to have emergency surgery. Well, I mean, you seem perfectly fine to me, so I'm wondering if maybe I misheard or maybe your mother was lying.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Will: So, you're calling my mom a liar.
E.J.: Well, I think either that, William, or you're a remarkably quick healer.
Will: Yeah, see what good genes can do?
E.J.: See, um...here's my problem, William. Either lying is something that runs in your family, or I'm expected to believe that you had your appendix removed less than 48 hours ago and yet you've made a complete recovery and are just tottering around as if nothing happened.
Will: Yeah, it's great to be young. Merry Christmas. You know, I don't want to have to break your foot.
E.J.: Good, I don't want to have to break in. Hey! William! Come on, William. We're friends. Open the door. I'm not a man to be played with, William. Open this door.
Will: Oh, boy. Appendectomy here I come.
John: Lucas, if you better understood the safeguards associated with this operation here, you might reconsider, because right now you sound like a man whose mind is made up.
Lucas: Yeah, that's me.
Sami: Well, my mind isn't made up yet.
Lucas: Yes, it is made up.
Sami: Lucas, I don't think it is.
Lucas: Get over here.
Bo: I got a feeling she's gonna turn him around.
Marlena: Well, I hope you're wrong about that. I know how important this is, but when Sami sets her mind to something, she goes overboard. You must have somebody else you can use.
Roman: Marlena, I wish there were. But we've got to push E.J. to make a move and Sami's the one he trusts. They've got a connection. Whatever that is, we can use it.
Marlena: You're using it. She's our daughter. She's not a DiMera. We don't use her for things.
Roman: Listen, Doc, if I didn't think I could protect her, I wouldn't even have her close to this.
Bo: The thing is, she's already close to this. E.J. moved into the apartment across the hall from her. He gave her this pretty good job, which she is really not qualified for. He's got his sights on her, no matter what move she makes.
Abe: Yeah, it's better to be proactive.
John: It's really a nonissue anyway. Sami's mind is made up. Good or bad, nobody's gonna tell her what to do, not even Lucas.
Lucas: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I meant what I said. I'm not gonna let you put yourself in danger.
Sami: I didn't ask for this, Lucas. But I really think I can do it. And...I believe that we were meant to be together. Don't lose faith in us, Lucas, not after all this time. Don't lose faith in me.
Chelsea: Well, I'm sorry that I said anything.
Stephanie: You know, from what I see, Victor owns 10 office buildings in this part of town alone. He could have locked Max and Mimi up in any one of them.
Abby: With workers and janitors everywhere? No way. Look, Victor put Max somewhere where no one would hear him or find them by accident. Some kind of out-of-the-way kind of place.
Stephanie: Such as?
Abby: I don't know. A warehouse? You know, some old, empty --
Chelsea: You guys.
Abby: What now, Chelsea?
Chelsea: I think I found it, Abby. Look, what about this?
Max: Well, I loosened them so you could just -- what I -- I can't believe that happened. It's bull.
Mimi: Well, believe it.
Max: Uh...it was not bad for a girl. All right, let's get out of this dungeon, then, huh?
Mimi: Okay. [Groans] I don't like cobwebs.
Max: [Laughs] All right, well, stand back and let me take care of it, then.
Mimi: Thank you.
Max: Here. Oh, after you. Ladies first.
Mimi: Oh, no, age before beauty. I'll be right behind you.
Max: I like the sound of that, actually.
Mimi: Be careful.
Max: You got it?
Mimi: Mm-hmm. So far, so good.
Max: Wow. Do you see any way out of here?
Mimi: Um...not unless you go in here and it ends you up in Narnia.
Max: [Laughs] I mean, I don't get it. Why would they hide a closet behind a wall?
Mimi: Depends on what's hiding inside of it. You want to find out?
Max: All right, stand back. Let's see.
Mimi: Don't worry about me. I'm not going anywhere.
Max: I got you, I got you. [Grunts]
Mimi: Get it off of me! Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna kick back and relax with the nightmare before Christmas. What is it doing in there?
Max: Look what he's wearing.
Mimi: Some kind of uniform.
Max: Confederate uniform.
Mimi: Like, from the Civil War?
Max: Yeah, these guys have been locked up for -- ew -- 150 years. Huh. I mean, this guy's history, Mimi.
Mimi: Yeah, no kidding.
Max: Salem history. I wonder how he got here in the first place.
Mimi: Probably Victor. He's old enough to have kept him here.
Max: Hey, hey, check it out. Oh, that's -- oh. Ugh. He's got a ring.
Mimi: Oh, his poor wife and his poor kids. They never knew what happened to him. They never saw him again.
Max: Whoa. Hey, Meems.
Mimi: Oh, God, get that thing away from me.
Max: No, no, no. It's just a Colt. It's an original six-gun. Look at this. It's worth a lot.
Mimi: Well, it can't still be working.
Max: Well, I don't know, but we got to try it, huh? I mean, there's a lock up there. If I can get this thing to fire, we could blast the hatch and finally get out of here. What do you say?
Chelsea: This is the perfect place, you guys. Just look.
Stephanie: What is this, Chelsea?
Chelsea: It's an old farm that Victor owns outside of town, only guess who didn't use his real name when he bought it. It's deeded to a subsidiary of Titan.
Stephanie: Well, so? People like Victor buy all kinds of things under different names. What makes you think --
Chelsea: Because it's perfect, Stephanie.
Abby: Well, it's a start anyway. Are there any barns on this property? Does it say?
Stephanie: There's a barn, a silo, stables.
Abby: It's perfect. Stephanie, she's right. I mean, it's close enough so that he can keep an eye on them, but somewhere that no one will ever look.
Abby: There's no "maybe." I'm sure of it now. Max is out on this farm somewhere. I can feel it. I know it.
Lucas: What the hell are you talking about, huh? I would never lose faith in you, ever.
Sami: Well, then, what is the problem with me helping the police?
Lucas: It's not about the police. It's about E.J. It's about E.J., damn it. I don't want you hanging around the guy. Forget it.
Sami: Oh, so it's not about my safety. It's about your jealousy of E.J.? How many times do I have to tell you, you don't have to worry about E.J.
Lucas: I'm worried, all right. I'm worried about my wife, damn it. Who wouldn't be?
Sami: Your wife? You -- you called me your wife.
Lucas: I didn't mean it like that, all right? You know what I meant. Don't look at me like that. It was an accident.
Sami: It was a nice accident. And I liked hearing it. And the truth is, I like hearing you jealous.
Lucas: I am not jealous, especially of E.J. I'm not jealous. I'm concerned about you.
Sami: I like that, too.
Lucas: I'm concerned about our family. I'm concerned about Will. What if E.J. loses it, huh? What if he loses it, he panics, and he decides he's gonna take a hostage, huh? What's gonna happen then? Who the hell do you think that hostage is gonna be?
E.J.: Are we finished playing games, William? Have we, hmm?
Will: Ow, my stitches. You're hurting me.
E.J.: Oh, yes, your stitches. Sorry about that. Well, listen, why don't we have a look and make sure they're okay? Why don't we do that?
Will: Hey. You want to come check out my stitches? I mean, you never know. Maybe my mom's hiding out under the bandages. You think? Yeah, go ahead, knock yourself out. She's not in the shower. You forgot to check the fire escape. Wait a second. Where are you going? Let's have some tea sometime.
Lucas: There's something I'm missing, right? Something else going on here I don't know about? Why didn't you want to come to the police? Why did I have to talk you into that?
Sami: Does it matter? You did, and I'm here, and they need my help.
Lucas: The question is, why, Sami? What aren't you telling me? Tell me. Please, tell me now if you're gonna tell me.
Sami: It was the look on her face.
Lucas: Whose face? We're talking about E.J.
Sami: I'm talking about my mom. Lucas, you didn't see her. She said she was proud of me. And she looked at me like she -- it was just different, that's all. And I want...everyone I care about to look at me like that... especially Will.
Lucas: You don't have anything to prove to our son. He loves you regardless of what you do.
Sami: You know there's more to it than that. [Cellphone rings] That's Will's ring.
Lucas: Get it, hurry up.
Will: Mom, E.J. was just here.
Sami: Will, oh, my God. Are you okay?
Will: Yeah, I'm fine. I was just making sure you were. He was looking for you. I didn't say anything.
Sami: Did he ask you about your --
Will: My appendix? Yeah, I made a fake wound and everything. He totally bought it.
Sami: Will, you're amazing. You really are my son, aren't you?
Will: So [Groans] You're gonna help grandpa and Uncle Bo lock up this jerk, right?
Sami: You bet I am, Will. I'm gonna make sure they put him away for a long time.
Will: Way to go, Mom. You're awesome.
Sami: Our family is awesome, Will. You listen to me. You stay inside the apartment, okay? Don't answer the door or anything until we get home. I love you.
Will: I love you, too.
Lucas: What did he say? Is he okay?
Sami: Yeah. Listen, Lucas, you have to let me do this. I have to do this. I'm not gonna take any unnecessary risks, I promise.
Lucas: No, you won’t. Get one thing straight before all this goes down. Come on.
Sami: What does that mean? What are you talking about? Lucas, does this --
Lucas: All right, everybody, listen up. You want Sami in on this thing, fine. Fine, but I'm calling the shots from now on. It's not up for discussion. It's on my terms or nothing. Got it?
Abby: So, what do you think? Let's check it out.
Stephanie: I think we should call Uncle Roman and let the police do the checking.
Abby: You already know that they're swamped down there. That's why Roman asked us to help. That's the reason we're doing all this.
Chelsea: Abby, the only reason you're doing all of this is so that you can be a hero when you rescue Max. And that's the truth, isn't it? You're just picturing him throwing his loving arms around you.
Abby: You know, you had your chance with him, Chelsea, and you blew it, okay? I tried to help you. Now Max has moved on, so --
Chelsea: So what? So now it's your turn?
Abby: Look, whatever you feel about Max and what I feel, this is about bringing him home and making sure that he's safe. Isn't that what we all want?
Stephanie: Of course.
Abby: So, are you with me or not?
Max: [Chuckles] This is -- this is cool. Look, there's two bullets still left in the chamber. That means we have two chances.
Mimi: Yeah, if that old thing still works at all. Are you sure you know what you're doing?
Max: What? What?
Mimi: Max! Max!
Max: I'm just kidding. No, pop, Frankie, and I -- we used to hunt at least twice a year. You know, we'd load up. We'd lace up our duck boots.
Mimi: Okay, that's all I needed to hear. I never recovered from "Bambi." I can still hear the sound of that gun.
Max: Oh, but this is gonna be much louder. I mean, you don't want to be anywhere near this when this explodes.
Max: It's been rusting down here for like over 100 years. I mean, you don't want to be anywhere near this if it backfires or anything like that. You want to be as far away as possible.
Mimi: Yeah, and what about you, huh? If something does go wrong and that gun does explode and you end up dead, what then?
Max: Well, then, I'm dead, I guess. I don't know.
Mimi: And then I'm stuck here with two dead roommates for the rest of my life? Don't do it, Max. Please, I am begging you. Put the gun down and we will find another way out of here. Please, please!
John: Haven't sunk one yet, have you, partner?
Marlena: [Laughs] Abe? Abe, are you okay? Oh! Abe!
John: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Hey, hey, hey, hey. You all right, buddy? Hey, hey!
Sami: E.J. Hi.
E.J.: Samantha...I just popped by to see you.
Sami: Yeah, I know. Will told me.
E.J.: I see. Well, that explains your call.
Sami: I don't appreciate you scaring my son like that.
E.J.: Samantha, if you're so concerned about your son, why did you leave him at home alone?
Sami: Because... I went to see the police.
Bo: Hey, Roman.
Roman: I just saw E.J. go in.
Bo: Yeah, she's with him now. It's going down according to plan.
Roman: Well, as soon as it doesn't, we're getting Sami out of there.
Bo: Hey, don't you worry about it.
Roman: Easy to say.
Bo: She'll be all right. We're not gonna let anything happen to her. Yeah, don't let her out of your sight. Good.
Stephanie: Okay, we checked both farmhouses.
Abby: What about the stables?
Stephanie: Yeah, that or the chicken coop. Bet you there's plenty more rats in there.
Chelsea: Abby, this is getting ridiculous. It is Christmas Eve. I mean, we should all be at home with our families.
Abby: Max is family.
Stephanie: Abby, we cannot drive around checking empty buildings on this silly farm all night long, okay? We need to just go back to Salem and tell Uncle Roman and Abe what we've been doing.
Abby: And what? Sit back and watch the Christmas lights? Yeah, a lot of good that will do Max.
Chelsea: And Mimi.
Stephanie: You know what? It might, Abby. And we might have done Max more harm than good already.
Max: Would you just calm down?
Mimi: Put that gun away and I will.
Max: Mimi, we have to try something. Otherwise, we're gonna be stuck down here with stonewall. There's a reason why we found him. He gave us one chance to get out of here, and this is it. Think of him as our skeleton key.
Mimi: Please, you did not just say that.
Max: Don't worry, it won't be my last words.
Mimi: It better not be. 'Cause honestly I -- I don't know what I'll do if --
Max: No, no, while you think about what you're gonna do if, I got some business to take care of. Can I go? We're gonna be fine. I'm gonna be fine. If I'm not, then you're gonna kill me, right? Besides, I got plans for us when we get out of here.
Mimi: Oh, yeah? Like what?
Max: I don't know. We'll leave it at that.
Mimi: Meaning there will be a later.
Max: Maybe. Look, just get out of my way, woman. Let's go, we got to get out of here. All right, you ready? Cover your ears. Are you ready? Are you ready? Come on, we're gonna get out of here. 1, 2, 3.
Mimi: Max! Max!
Mimi: Max! Max, oh, God. Oh, God, don't you dare die on me. Please, you promised me. Wake up, wake up, wake up. I swear you better wake up or I'm gonna --
Max: Kill me? I know.
Mimi: Oh, I hate you!
Max: It didn't work, did it?
Mimi: No, I didn't work. And it's not going to. [Grunting] I promised my mom I would never miss Christmas with her again.
Max: Hey, hey, hey, hey. There's nothing like ruining Christmas for everyone we love, right?
Abby: We are out here freezing our butts off on Christmas Eve trying to look for Max. How could we possibly be hurting anybody?
Stephanie: Because, Abby, we could have passed a million clues already or messed up some really important ones stumbling around.
Chelsea: Abby, she's right. Look, we should just admit that we --
Abby: Maybe you should just admit that you couldn't care less because Max dumped you.
Chelsea: 'Cause it's not just Max that's missing. It's Max and Mimi, Abby.
Chelsea: So there's nothing like being in danger with one another to bring two people closer together. And that's what you're really worried about, right?
Abby: I am so sick of this. If we don't find Max and Mimi because of you being sarcastic and wasting time, then I will never forgive you, so why don't you just go home, Chelsea? Just leave right now.
E.J.: You went to the police?
Sami: Well, yeah. My dad called me and he said he need to see me, so...
E.J.: So your father did call you.
Sami: Yeah. Why are you looking at me like that?
E.J.: When you left Talladega, I got the distinct impression there was something you weren't telling me.
Sami: I had to go home. My son was having emergency surgery.
E.J.: I got a look at Will's wounds. Now, admittedly, I'm not a physician, but I'd say they seemed questionable at best. I had half a mind to rip the bloody things off, Samantha.
Sami: Are you suggesting that I would lie about my son needing surgery?
E.J.: You really don't want me to answer that, Samantha.
Sami: Fine. Fine. I'm sorry I even came here. I thought I was gonna help you. I thought I was gonna tell you about what I heard at the police station, but if you --
E.J.: Wait. Look...I'm listening, all right? I'm sorry.
E.J.: Tell me what you heard.
Sami: Okay. I overheard my dad on the phone and he was talking to, like, forensics or something and I guess they have new evidence in the Eve Michaels murder case.
E.J.: What evidence?
Sami: I don't know. I don't know any of the details. I just know that my dad is planning on arresting you after Christmas.
E.J.: Why are they doing this now?
Sami: Let's not dance around the issue. I heard you on the phone in Talladega. I know who you're connected with.
E.J.: Hmm, all right. No games. That works both ways. Now, why would you tell me this, assuming that you're telling the truth?
Sami: Whatever your motive may have been, you helped me when I needed it. And you said you liked me -- the good and the bad side. And...
E.J.: And what?
Sami: And it's Christmas. All family, all the time. Of course I'm stuck with a family that loves me and kisses me hello and then hates me behind my back. And Lucas -- as it turns out, he can't even trust me enough to leave me alone with you for one night. I thought I was gonna have a Merry Christmas. But as it turns out, I hate Christmas.
E.J.: So this is because you hate your family and Christmas?
Sami: And because I like you. Look, whatever has happened between us...there is something here that we can't deny. And, uh, if Will hadn't needed me to rush off...who knows what might have happened.
Chelsea: You want me to go home, Abby? Fine, but don't you dare think for one second that I am walking home.
Stephanie: Just calm down.
Chelsea: I'm just trying to help.
Abby: Help who, Chelsea?
Chelsea: Help you, Abby. Because if and when we do find Max and Mimi, if he doesn't drop to his knees and start telling the whole world how much he loves you and always will, you are gonna be crushed. Can't you see that you are talking yourself into something that doesn't exist with a guy who has no heart at all?
Abby: That's a lie.
Chelsea: It is not a lie. Abby, if anybody knows Max, it is me, okay? Inside and out. I just don't want to see you get hurt.
Stephanie: I like Max as a friend, Abby. You know that. But I learned the hard way, too. Max is just not looking to make a commitment to anyone.
Chelsea: Look, Abby, he broke both of our hearts and I just don't want to see it happen to you next.
Abby: I am gonna keep looking for Max, and I'm bringing him home. I don't care what you guys say.
Chelsea: Okay, then. You're right. I, um -- I am wasting my time trying to help you.
Stephanie: No, no, no. You are not walking home. Abby will drive you.
Abby: Fine, and then me and Stephanie will come back and look for him.
Stephanie: Abby, I'm sorry. I think you should probably take me home, too. I think we've done all that we can for one day.
Max: It's okay.
Mimi: It's not okay, okay?
Max: It's not okay. Got it. It sucks. But it's Christmas, right? Almost. So we both have to make the best of things. We got to look on the brighter side. Be hopeful. You know? Come on, try it.
Mimi: You first.
Max: Um, we're both alive. We're healthy, right? That's a good start. We have family and friends that are looking for us.
Mimi: But every time we think we've finally gotten out of here --
Max: We run into a brick wall?
Mimi: Yeah, and even after we knock down the wall, we still can't get out.
Max: But we will, I promise.
Max: Soon. Just give it some more time. We'll figure something out.
Mimi: And in the meantime?
Max: In the meantime, it's Christmas right here, huh? You know? Come on, we'll make something special of it. The radio's still working, right? We got music. We have food. We have water. We got Colonel Mustard with the candlestick in there. Just add something to the list whenever you want to.
Mimi: I saw a box filled with Christmas ornaments.
Max: See? See? You just got to work with me here.
Max: It's better already, right?
Mimi: Max, when, um, Shawn and I -- since we've split up...
Max: Yeah. [Clears throat]
Mimi: ...Thanks for being there 'cause I don't know what I would have done without you these past couple months.
Max: It's only fair. You'd do the same thing for me. After the crash and the race, I just felt like my life was -- hell, I don't know -- wrong. The one thing I thought I could control in this life just wasn't working anymore. And there you were... out of nowhere. Not nowhere. You were there trying to help the business get back on its feet. And you reminded me of...
Mimi: Of what?
Max: What I'm grateful for. I am, Mimi. I'm so grateful.
Abe: So, what is this?
Lexie: For that hard head of yours. Don't argue with me, Abe. I can't believe you had them call me instead of an ambulance.
John: How long has he been like this?
Lexie: I've been trying to get him to see a specialist for weeks.
Abe: With everything that's going on around here, I can't hand them a reason to fire me.
Lexie: Abe, honey, you come first, not this job. Your health.
Marlena: I've got a friend in Brookfield. He's a respected ophthalmologist. And he can be counted on to be discreet, and he also specializes in corneal transplants.
John: Let him take a look, Abe. Maybe he can save what's left of your vision.
Abe: What if he tells me I'm going blind?
Lexie: Honey, there's a good chance you can have another transplant.
Abe: Sweetheart, you know, right now I'm seeing the world through Isaac's eyes. It's the last gift he gave me. And if I...if I reject this transplant --
Lexie: Sweetheart, you wouldn't be rejecting Isaac. You wouldn’t. Look, I know he gave you the gift of sight, but he gave us so many gifts. Honey, it's possible that something can be done to prevent you from rejecting this transplant, but the longer you wait, the --
Abe: I know.
Lexie: Honey, I know you're scared, okay? Sweetheart, sweetheart, I'm here, okay? And so is Theo. We'll do this together, all right?
Marlena: Abe, I'll make that call as soon as you say to.
Abe: Okay. Go ahead and set it up. [Sighing] Oh, Lexie. Oh, my God.
Abe: My God, I can...I can barely see my hand in front of my eyes.
Lexie: It'll be okay, honey. It'll be okay.
E.J.: You want me as much as I want you? Or because you think it's over with Lucas?
Sami: I was an idiot to think Lucas and I could ever get back together. I mean, I know I probably ruined my chance with you, but I guess that's not surprising. Self-sabotage is my middle name. But if you were to ever...give me another chance...it would make me really happy.
E.J.: Sweetheart, but your father plans to arrest me.
Sami: I know. E.J., you can't let that happen. But I overheard him saying that he's got your passport flagged and he's got roadblocks set up they're not gonna let you leave town by airport or the bus train. Anyways, so I was sitting here thinking about it, and I think I have a way I can help you.
E.J.: How? Tell me.
Sami: There's a boathouse a couple miles out of town, just North. No one goes there anymore. But if we agree to meet sundown, after Christmas...
E.J.: But then what?
Sami: I'll help you. We'll steal a boat, and I'll help you sail it. And we can --
Lucas: What the hell's going on?
Sami: Um, I told you I had to meet --
Lucas: You told me you had an appointment for lunch, but you didn't say with who, damn it. Didn't I warn you?
E.J.: You hey, hey, hey, hey! Get your hands off her.
Sami: Lucas, I'm sorry.
Lucas: You expect me to leave you alone with this guy?
Sami: Well, I didn't -- I don't want there to be a scene.
Lucas: Come on, that's it. Come on, we're going home, the both of us.
Sami: Okay, Lucas.
Lucas: You stay away from her if you know what's good for you, Brit boy.
Bo: No, no, stick with Wells.
Lucas: You were great.
Sami: [Laughs] You said "Brit Boy" and you meant it. It was awesome.
Bo: Good job, you guys.
Sami: You think so?
Roman: Sami, I am so proud of you.
Sami: Thanks, Dad. But I'm just glad it worked out. And I hope E.J. goes away for a long time.
Abby: You're bailing on me, too?
Stephanie: Abby, we did the best we could, did all the research on Victor's properties.
Chelsea: We put up all those flyers all over town about them being missing.
Stephanie: It is time to let the --
Abby: Fine. You want me to drop you off? Not a problem. It's Christmas Eve. Drink, be merry. I'll just go by myself and look.
Chelsea: Abby, it's getting dark.
Abby: I know how to take care of myself, Chelsea. Don't waste your breath, like you said. There's no Christmas Eve for me, not until Max is back with his family.
Abby: Yeah, I know, okay? And Mimi. And Mimi. [Engine turns over]
Max: What? What happened? What?
Mimi: I don't know. Something, a cobweb. Can you see it?
Max: No. Where? What?
Mimi: It's on my face. I feel it. Ugh, I got to go wash my face.
Max: Okay, well, go wash up, and then, in the meantime, I'll just try and clean things up and make things more comfortable.
Mimi: Okay, thanks. I won't be too long.
Max: Hey, I'll be here.
Mimi: I know.
Roman: All right, we're closing down here and heading home.
Lucas: All right, that's it. I guess we'll catch you guys later.
Sami: Merry Christmas, Dad. I-I love you.
Roman: I love you, too. And once again, I am damn proud of you, daughter.
Sami: Thanks, Dad. Merry Christmas, Uncle Bo. See you later.
Bo: Merry Christmas.
Lucas: Good night, guys.
Roman: All right, now we just got to wait and see if E.J. calls our bluff.
Bo: I know you've been looking for that perfect Christmas present for your little brother. If he does take our bluff, let me cuff him and lock him down. What do you say?
Roman: What do I say? Well, I say Merry Christmas, little brother. You got it.
E.J.: Patrick, change in plans. The day after Christmas, we settle all debts, okay? Paid in full. Do you understand? Oh, and one more thing. Call it a personal favor. I want you to make sure that Bo Brady is aware of exactly what is happening when you leave town with his wife. Keep him distracted all evening. All evening. You got that? Good. I'll take care of everything else. Everything.
Max: I've never met anybody like you.
Mimi: Is that a good thing?
Max: That's a really good thing.
Shawn D.: You're right here with the rest of the family, Claire, from now on.
Steve: If you could do a really big favor for me and my wife, I'd appreciate it.
Clay: Sure, I'd be happy to help. What can I do?
Steve: Man, you are the coolest.
