Max: Oh, uh... [Clears throat] How'd you sleep?
Mimi: It was so cold. I'm just glad I had you here to keep me warm. I mean --
Max: No, no, I know what you mean. We're both adults, and you know... it's not like either one of us are reading anything into it.
Mimi: Yeah, we're friends, and --
Mimi: We're just doing what we have to do to survive.
Max: Yeah, we'll get through this together.
Shawn D.: Come on. Here you go.
Belle: You know, I really thought that she was gonna be afraid of Santa.
Shawn D.: I know, but she did great, didn't she? I want to take one of the pictures and I want to frame it and I want to give it to my mom for her birthday. I know that she's probably thinking about last year when she and my dad took Zack to visit Santa.
Belle: Yeah. Claire spent her first Christmas in the hospital. Didn't even know if she'd make it.
Shawn D.: Well, it means a lot to my parents to know that Zack was the one that saved Claire's life. Now that we know that she's --
Shawn D.: Yeah.
Belle: You know, I really thought that this would be a very unhappy Christmas, but I've had a really good day today. And I bet that I know what Claire asked Santa for, for Christmas.
Shawn D.: Well, I hope that we all get what we want.
Belle: Me too. I can't help thinking about Max and Mimi, though. I feel really responsible for the fact that they're missing.
Shawn D.: If Victor is behind this, I can't help but to believe that he would not do anything to hurt them.
Belle: Yeah, I don't think so either.
Shawn D.: Anyhow, when Max and Mimi come back, I've decided I'm gonna make peace with them.
Belle: You're ready to forgive Mimi?
Shawn D.: I'm ready to move on. And then I'm gonna go and I'm gonna ask Max for my job back.
Belle: That's really great. What about all of that money that you made delivering stuff for E.J. and Patrick? We both know that, that's dirty money, especially after what my mom and dad found out in Italy.
Shawn D.: That E.J. is involved with the DiMera’s.
Belle: Mm-hmm. And I don't want anything to do with them or their money.
Kayla: Oh, my mom used to get so mad at me when I would throw that tinsel in big clumps on the tree. She always wanted one long strand.
Both: One tinsel at a time.
Kayla: Oh, you've heard it.
Hope: Oh, yeah. I've heard it many a years. I remember the first time I helped decorate the Brady tree. Your pop was instructing me every step of the way -- every step of the way.
Kayla: I believe it. I'm just happy they're getting some rest. They were so worried about Mimi and Max.
Hope: This used to be my favorite time of year -- Christmas, my birthday, our anniversary. Now it really doesn't mean very much -- not like it used to.
Kayla: Hope, come here. Do you know that Zack would be so happy that you and Bo are working things out?
Hope: I know. [Door closes]
Patrick: Hey, I thought I might find you here. We need to talk.
Roman: So, that's it. E.J. is Elvis DiMera.
Marlena: There was a picture on Stefano's night stand -- a picture of Susan Banks holding E.J. as a baby.
Abe: But you have no idea if E.J. was taking orders from his father.
John: Well, I'm sure whatever E.J.'s plan is for the future, it's only gonna escalate, starting right now. Just the way the DiMera’s operate.
John: Hey, Bo.
Bo: Hey, welcome back. I'm glad you made it home safely.
John: I'd like to say that it went smoothly, but at least we got out.
Abe: Bo... what the hell are you doing here?
Roman: I asked him to come in, Abe.
Bo: Look, Abe, once you have E.J. behind bars, you can fire me all over again, but until then, you need me.
John: I think you need to take him up on that offer, Abraham, because as of right now, I'm resigning from the bad-guy business.
Lucas: Come on.
Sami: Oh, I am so glad we're home. We can just put that Talladega nightmare behind us.
Lucas: The nightmare's not over. You got to tell your dad. You got to tell them what you heard in the hotel.
Sami: Lucas, I just want to take a bath, okay? And I just want to stop thinking about it.
Lucas: You can't act like this didn't happen, Sami.
Sami: I don't want to tell the police, Lucas. I just want it to be over. I want to forget about it.
Lucas: You can't forget about it. You got to tell your dad what you overheard about E.J. saying that he's not leaving Salem till he finishes what he started. I mean, if you don't do that, you're helping E.J.
Sami: Lucas, I'm afraid, okay? I am afraid of E.J. I saw him. You didn't see him. He was violent. He was angry. And if he is involved with the DiMera’s, he is capable of anything, including murder. Lucas, I am not gonna give him a reason to target me, you, or Will. No way in hell.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Lucas: All right, so you keep quiet and E.J. spares you, but who won't be spared then, huh?
Sami: All right, fine. You want to do it? You're so hot to go to the police? Then you do it. You tell them.
Lucas: I'm not the one who heard E.J. lose his English cool. You did. If I go to the police, it's hearsay. I don't have any proof. You got to do this. You have to come forward.
Sami: Lucas, everything's finally working out for us. And we're a family now. And I don't want to do anything that is gonna mess that up.
Lucas: Things are already getting messed up. You don't come forward, he's gonna just screw with other families, too. You got to do this.
Sami: Lucas, you're the one who didn't even want me near E.J. in the first place because you hate him as much as everyone else. Well, I'm the one he's after. I am the one he wants. You know it. Kate knows it. Everyone in this whole stupid town knows it.
Lucas: He wants the Sami he can manipulate, the one he could use, the one who'd do anything to get ahead, get what she wants. Why don't you show people the Sami I'm proud of, the Sami who'd do anything for her friends and family, who'd never let anything come between that? That's the Sami I want everyone to see.
Roman: John, I wish you would reconsider.
Marlena: No, that is nonnegotiable now. I'm a married woman. It's my job to look out for my man, and I'm staying right by his side.
Bo: Well, there you go, Abe. You're gonna need me.
Roman: Bo is right. Patrick was up to his eyeballs in this E.J. mess, and if you think E.J.'s gonna lay another lawsuit on us, that's not gonna happen, not now. And once we got E.J. on the run, Patrick's gonna get the hell out of town fast.
Bo: Come on, Abe. Trust me. I'll let you and Roman take the lead.
Abe: Okay. All right. You're gonna get your gun and your badge back. But if I see any sign that you're screwing up, I'll take them back, along with your head.
Bo: All right.
Abe: They were never far away.
Bo: Thanks, man. You won't regret this.
Abe: I better not.
John: That's that, then. Looks like things are restored to order here. So, Marlena...
John: Want to try our luck at becoming Salem's number-one most boring couple?
Marlena: That could never happen, my darling -- never.
John: Okay, guys, go get 'em.
Abe: Thanks. Thanks again, John.
John: You're welcome.
Abe: Marlena, you too. You two are a hell of a couple.
Roman: Yeah, and congratulations on your wedding. And take care.
Marlena: We will. Thanks. Thank you. Part of me never thought you would actually go through with it. It's killing you to quit, isn't it?
John: I did this for you.
Marlena: I see that. I was hoping you would do it for both of us.
Hope: This isn't a very good time right now.
Patrick: Yeah, well, neither was yesterday. Believe me, tomorrow's gonna be even worse.
Hope: Patrick, please.
Steve: Is there a problem, Hope?
Hope: No, there's no problem. I just need to talk to Patrick. Excuse -- why don't we talk outside?
Steve: Think she's all right?
Kayla: Yeah. Hope can take care of herself.
Steve: Yeah, she can, can't she? Hey, I got a surprise for you.
Steve: Uh-oh? I thought you like surprises.
Kayla: I do.
Steve: Well, since this is our first official Christmas back together, I thought we should have a special present.
Kayla: Can I open it?
Steve: Can you open it?
Steve: Well, let's see. I was talking to Stephanie, and she told me that you're a big fan of this Clay Aiken dude. He's got a benefit concert here in town and... presto chango!
Kayla: Oh, my gosh. Where did you get these? It's been sold out forever.
Steve: I got my sources.
Kayla: Thank you. Thank you so much. I love him. I got his Christmas CD. It's fabulous, and I love you.
Steve: I know. I love you, too.
Kayla: Ahh. Oh.
Steve: What? What is it?
Kayla: I just remembered something. We're gonna have to give these tickets away. We can't go.
Hope: So, what can I do for you?
Patrick: Well, we have a lot of planning to do. We are leaving for our trip tomorrow night.
Hope: I can't go then. It's Christmas. I'm going to be with my family.
Patrick: Hope, we had a deal. I'd drop the charges against Bo and you'd go away with me.
Hope: So you keep reminding me. Patrick, my family is worried to death over Max's disappearance. My son just lost his home. I'm pregnant. You can't just march in here and make that kind of demand.
Patrick: Hope, we had an agreement.
Hope: Okay, relax. And I'm willing to hold up my end of it, but I also told you that I won't go away on Christmas. No way.
Patrick: Okay, then I have no choice but to call the D.A. and have her press charges for assault.
Mimi: I just miss my family, and it's Christmas Eve. And I don't want to spend Christmas here.
Max: No, we won’t. I promise. We're gonna find a way out of here today. We just need to find a tool to get through that trapdoor.
Mimi: Well, we should have breakfast first.
Max: Hold on. Hold on. A-ha-ha-ha-ha. Huh?
Mimi: You found a hatchet.
Max: It's a very dull hatchet.
Mimi: Well, at least it's something. I wish there was a way that we could let the outside world know we were in here.
Max: Oh! All right. Now we're talking.
Mimi: Oh, my God.
Max: I think I can smash through the hinges of the trapdoor with this. Here. Take the hatchet. Here. And work on those boarded-up windows while I go at that. We'll have two fronts going at once, right?
Mimi: Yeah. Breakfast can wait. I don't know how good I'm gonna be at this. And I cannot believe this is how I'm spending my holidays.
Shawn D.: I promise that I'm gonna figure out the right thing to do with the money that I have stashed away. Believe me, I don't want to have anything to do with it.
Beverly: Oh, I got it.
Belle: Thank you.
Beverly: Here you go.
Beverly: You're welcome. Ooh, she better not have it now. Wow, she is a pretty little thing.
Belle: Thank you.
Beverly: Is this baby's first Christmas?
Beverly: Oh! [Laughs]
Beverly: Well, you sure make a handsome family.
Belle: Actually, we're not together.
Beverly: Oh, I'm sorry. My son always did say I asked too many questions. It's just that he's in the military, and he and his wife and my granddaughter are in Germany. And I won't get to see them this holiday.
Shawn D.: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. But you're gonna be talking to them tomorrow, right?
Beverly: Yes, but it's not the same as having them here. I hope he doesn't re-up after his stint. I really want them home, even though I'm proud of him for serving his country.
Shawn D.: Yeah, well, you should be proud.
Beverly: So, what do you do for a living?
Mimi: Max... ugh! This isn't working. The hatchet can't cut through this metal.
Max: Neither is this. We got to find another way to get out of here. [Footsteps overhead] Shh! Shh! Shh! Listen. Did you hear that?
Mimi: Hear what?
Max: Footsteps. I think there's someone up there.
John: Sweetheart, I want to do what is best for the both of us. And if hanging up my holster enables me to spend more time with the girl that I love, so be it.
Sami: Mom! Mom, welcome back. I didn't know you were home.
Marlena: Hello. Hello. Happy holidays. What are you doing? Are you coming to see your dad?
Sami: Uh, well, sort of. Yeah, I have to talk to the police about E.J. Wells.
John: What about him?
Sami: Well, I was with him in Talladega on a business trip, and I overhead him on the phone talking about Stefano. So, I thought I should tell my dad and Uncle Bo about it.
Shawn D.: Actually, I'm in between jobs right now. I was working for a race team as a mechanic, and I'm gonna join back up with them.
Beverly: How exciting.
Belle: Yeah, actually, Shawn's a really, really good mechanic. He's great with high-performance cars.
Beverly: And how about you? Do you work?
Belle: No, I'm a stay-at-home mom.
Beverly: I think that's wonderful. There are too many children out there this Christmas who don't have loving parents looking out for them.
Belle: That is so true.
Beverly: Well, it was nice talking to you both. I don't want to interrupt your time together.
Belle: Oh, no, you're not. We've really enjoyed talking to you.
Beverly: Likewise. Merry Christmas and good luck to you both.
Belle: Thank you. Merry Christmas to you, too. Aw, she was so sweet. I feel so bad that she's not gonna be able to spend Christmas with her family.
Shawn D.: Yeah, I know. She's right. A lot of kids are gonna be out this Christmas.
Belle: And maybe we might be able to help them with E.J.'s money?
Shawn D.: Yep.
Belle: All right, honey, it looks like we're not done with Christmas shopping after all. [Laughs]
Shawn D.: Come on. You ready?
Kayla: I'm sorry we can't go, but the Brady’s have a family Christmas tradition. Do you remember it?
Steve: Which one?
Kayla: Well, the Brady’s and the Horton’s always help throw the Christmas party for the kids' wing at the hospital for all the kids who are stuck there during the holidays. So, someone always reads the story from the bible, and then Santa comes and gives presents to all the kids.
Steve: That sounds great. But there's a lot of Brady’s and Horton’s to take care of that, and we got tickets to Clay Aiken.
Kayla: I know, but there's something I kind of forgot to tell you.
Steve: What's that?
Kayla: It's not a bad thing. In fact, I would think that you would be flattered. Alice Horton wants you to read the Christmas story this year.
Steve: Oh, no, baby. No, come on. You know the way I was raised up. There was no Sunday school, no bible study. No, baby, I'm the wrong dude for that job.
Kayla: No, no, no, you are the perfect guy for the job. And you know, really, I don't want to put any pressure on you or anything, but it's such an honor to be asked that in the whole tradition of this, no one has ever refused.
Steve: [Sighs] You make it hard to say no. Okay, all right, I'll do it on one condition -- as soon as we're done, the minute we're done, we leave to get to that concert so at least we can catch the end of it, you know, for our first Christmas together again.
Hope: You want to talk to the D.A. and reinstate the charges against Bo? You know what? I'll dial the number for you.
Patrick: Whoa, why are you suddenly being so difficult? I'm the father of your baby --
Hope: Patrick, I'm not being diffi-- okay, listen. I'm carrying your baby, and yes, I have certain obligations because of it, which include making sure that you know about all of the doctor's appointments and allowing you access to the baby after he or she is born. That is it. Anything else, we negotiate. It's strictly business.
Hope: And if you keep playing this little game of forcing me to go away with you, then I'll make a few rules of my own, starting with the first one -- I'm not going anywhere with you on Christmas.
Sami: So, then he said that he wasn't gonna leave Salem until he finished what he started and he didn't care what Stefano said. There's only one Stefano he could be talking about, right?
Roman: Does E.J. know you heard all this?
Sami: No, Dad, I don't think so.
Roman: All right, well, you did the right thing, and I'm very proud of you for bringing this information in.
Abe: Yeah, we'll protect you, Sami. You have my word.
Lucas: You better.
John: E.J. definitely has murder on his mind.
Max: We got to pound on the ceiling.
Mimi: What if it's one of Victor's guys who put us in here?
Max: If it is, he already knows we're here. If it's not, we could be missing a chance to get out of here.
Mimi: You're right.
Max: Help! Can anybody hear me?
Max: We're down in the basement!
Mimi: Help us! We're locked in the basement!
Max: Hello?! Can anybody hear me?! Help! [Footsteps overhead] Whoever it is, they can hear us. Help! Can you open the trapdoor? We're down here in the basement! We can't get out!
Mimi: Please help us! There's a trapdoor right here!
Guy: Okay, I'll help you guys get out of there, but I want money. How much you got?
Hope: Look at us out here. Now look in there. That's my family. That's what we do on Christmas. It's my first Christmas without Zack. I really need to be with my family.
Patrick: Okay. Okay. You go be with your family. Enjoy it.
Kayla: That sounds perfect. So, you'll read the story, we'll hang with Santa and the kids for a little while, and then we'll go over to the concert.
Kayla: Okay. There's just one last thing.
Steve: What's that?
Kayla: Did you write that letter to Billie?
Steve: Yeah, I did. I wrote it when you were asleep last night. It was tough, but it's done. I mailed it out this morning.
Roman: Why didn't you show us the card sooner?
John: It's a personal thing, Roman. He's just letting me know I'm a target.
Lucas: I know you guys got a lot on your plate, but if E.J. Wells is gonna start killing people, I want to know what the police are gonna do to protect Sami. She's given you critical information that could help bust this guy. I think you owe her.
Abe: Look, Sami, don't worry. We'll put a mobile unit outside your apartment. You'll be protected.
Sami: What if E.J. knows? He'll --
Roman: No, no, no. E.J. will just think we're watching him, which is no surprise, right?
Roman: All right? Now, listen. Between the tarot death card and what you got out of E.J., we need to have a little discussion here about what to do. So, Marlena, if you, Lucas, Sami go have some coffee, I'd appreciate it. And, Marlena, I know John's retired, but I'd like to have his ear for a few minutes, if you don't mind.
Sami: Um, sure.
Lucas: No problem. Thank you. Thank you, Sami.
Bo: Okay, we can put a cruiser outside her apartment, but we can't protect everybody. Wells needs to be behind bars before he hurts somebody else.
Roman: Come on, Abe. What do you think? We got enough to at least bring him in to question him. Now, come on. We got a definitive connection to Stefano.
Abe: You know, if we don't nail him dead to rights this time, he's gonna walk.
John: There's only one thing you can do then. Got to bluff him.
Sami: John's retired?
Marlena: I know.
Lucas: Here you go. I actually have to respond to these e-mails. With Victor out of town, I'm swamped, so I'll be out in the hall if you need me.
Lucas: All right.
Marlena: Thanks. Sami, I'm so proud of you. Coming right back, going to your dad with what you knew -- that was very brave.
Sami: Oh, Mom, I don't feel brave. What is that on your hand? What happened?
Marlena: Oh, oh, oh. No, it's fine. It's just fine.
Sami: And --
Sami: What's that?
Marlena: I've been trying to sort out a way to tell you. John and I got married in Italy.
Mimi: Is he asking us for a bribe?
Max: I don't know, but there's only one way to find out. Listen, could you just let us out of here? Just open up the padlock so we can come up!
Guy: How much money you got?
Mimi: Oh, my God. I cannot believe this. We're already being held hostage and now he's holding us hostage?
Max: How much money you got?
Mimi: This is it, like 15 bucks.
Max: Look, we got 60 bucks, that's it.
Guy: Forget it. That's not enough.
Max: Let us out of here!
Mimi: Please, sir! [Pounding]
Guy: Okay, I'll open it, but I want the money first.
Mimi: Hey, can you push the money up through the cracks in the trapdoor?
Max: Yeah, but -- who's to say he's gonna let us out once we give him the money?
Mimi: What choice do we have? We can't take the chance that he'll just leave us here if he doesn't get what he wants.
Max: Okay! I'm gonna push the money up through the floorboards, but I'm only giving you half.
Guy: No, man, I want all of it.
Max: We're not idiots. If we give you all the money, you're not gonna let us out. You have no reason to let us out.
Guy: Who are you, my mother?
Max: That's it. Take it or leave it.
Guy: Okay, deal.
Max: Now, you got half the cash, as promised. Now let us out and you'll get the rest.
Guy: You got a bad attitude, and I'm not feeling the trust here. How do I know if I let you out, you won't beat the hell out of me and take the money back? Merry Christmas, losers.
Roman: All right, John, what kind of bluff are you talking about here?
John: Look, you have no evidence linking him to any crimes. Can't pin the gloved-hand crimes on him. Can't put him at the scene of Eve Michaels' murder. You basically don't know what the bigger plan is here, so you're kind of just spitting in the wind, right?
Bo: So we make him think we have more than we do.
John: E.J. Wells is holding all the aces right now, so you got to get him to force his hand. What you got to do is find somebody that he trusts. They'll take a message to him, tell him that the authorities are preparing an arrest warrant based on some newfound forensic evidence at one of the crime scenes.
Abe: You think he'll spring into action.
John: Maybe. And if he springs into action, you spring the trap.
Roman: I think it's too risky.
Abe: Maybe not.
Bo: So, who delivers this message?
Abe: What about Kate? They're partners. He trusts her. Think she'd be willing to deliver some phony information to him?
Roman: Kate is out of town.
John: Well, whoever it is has got to convince E.J. that they're on his side -- you know, someone who can seduce him into believing he's got to get his butt out of town.
Marlena: Sami, I know how you feel about John. But I'd like you to understand how much I love him and how much he means to me and makes me happy.
Sami: Brace yourself, Mom, 'cause I know I put you through hell about this, but better late than never, right?
Sami: Mom, you deserve to be happy more than anyone I have ever met, and I am very sorry for the incredibly stupid, childish obsession that I had with wanting my mom and dad to be together.
Marlena: There is nothing stupid about that, Sami.
Sami: Look, I know that John loved me, and I know that he was a good father to me, but from the moment I saw the two of you in that conference room, I... I became obsessed with the idea that everything was his fault -- every problem we ever had. I just couldn't get it out of my mind.
Marlena: I'm sorry you had to go through that, but what happened in that room was as much my fault as it was John's. You've found a way to forgive me, haven't you?
Sami: Of course, Mom. You're my mom, and...
Marlena: I know. I love you, too. And you know what else? You know what else? John loves you, too. And no matter how you feel about him or how you treat him, what you say to him or what you do to him, he will always think of you as his daughter and he will always, always love you.
Max: We had a deal!
Mimi: Let us out of here!
Guy: Thanks for the Christmas bonus. I'll say a prayer for you while eating steak.
Mimi: I hope you choke on it!
Mimi: Oh, no. No. Please! Please don't just leave us here to die! Oh, my God. I don't know how much more of this I can take, Max. It's Christmas Eve, and I don't see how we're ever gonna get out of here.
Max: Aah! [Hollow thud] Did you hear that?
Mimi: Now what?
Max: I think there's something behind that wall.
Kayla: You did the right thing. You know, writing that letter for Billie, it's gonna give her closure.
Steve: I hope it does. I just want to get on with my life with the woman I love.
Hope: Hey, hey! Sorry to interrupt, but look what I found outside. Look at the beautiful girl.
Kayla: Hello. You've gotten so big!
Hope: Hasn't she? She's a beautiful girl. Want to take that off? Here you go.
Kayla: Merry Christmas, angel.
Kayla: Happy Birthday.
Hope: Thank you.
Kayla: Do you want to wish her a happy birthday?
Steve: Oh, yeah.
Hope: He doesn't have to.
Kayla: No, he wanted to.
Steve: Come here. Happy Birthday, sweet thing.
Kayla: I have to say I'm sorry. We didn't get you a present.
Hope: No, don't worry about it. My gift is all of us being here together.
Caroline: Oh, goodness! What did you do? This is -- the pub looks so beautiful. Oh, thank you.
Hope: You're welcome. You're welcome. Are you feeling any better?
Caroline: Not really, but... have you heard anything?
Hope: No, not yet, but we will. We will. I promise you. Hey, look at this. Look what Shawn and Belle brought for the Christmas celebration at the hospital.
Caroline: Why, I must say, you two have really outdone yourselves. That's wonderful. Thank you. Thank you. You know what I'm really grateful about?
Caroline: It's that the Brady-Horton tradition continues, no matter what.
Max: I don't know why I didn't see it before. This looks like an add-on.
Mimi: How can you tell?
Max: Listen. [Hollow thud] There's nothing behind that wall.
Mimi: Why would someone close off part of the church cellar?
Max: I don't know, but maybe it's a way out. We got to find out what's behind this wall.
Mimi: How are we gonna do that?
Max: I'm gonna smash my way through.
Roman: Oh, come on. No way. You're not gonna put my daughter at risk.
Bo: Roman, we'll protect her, you and me. We'll never let her out of our sights. We'll set the meeting in a public place so she doesn't have to be alone with Wells.
Roman: [Sighs] Damn it. I still don't like it.
Bo: She's our only shot at getting him.
Sami: Mom, I don't hate John. I promise I don’t. But it used to make me so angry that no matter what I did to him, no matter what terrible things I tried to pull, he would never hate me back. He would never hold a grudge. I guess that's why you love him so much.
Marlena: Yeah, kind of like the way you love Lucas. So I guess the heart just wants what the heart just wants, huh?
Sami: Mom, I'm gonna be better with John from now on, for you, for him, and for all of us.
Marlena: Thank you. You can't begin to know what that means to me.
Sami: Mom, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
Marlena: Oh. You fellas done with your little powwow?
Abe: Yeah, we did. Sami, we would like to set a trap for E.J. Wells, and we need someone who can convince him that he's about to be arrested, someone that's willing to help him plot an escape.
John: In other words, they need someone who can help set him up.
Sami: Okay, so?
Roman: We'd like you to be that someone.
Steve: Something's not quite right. Follow me.
Kayla: [Laughing] What?
Steve: Come over here.
Kayla: All right.
Steve: Now, that's just perfect.
Belle: Well, everything looks so beautiful. I'm really sorry we didn't help.
Caroline: Well, you know, it's not too late. Would you like to help make some eggnog?
Belle: Uh, yeah, let's do it.
Caroline: We're gonna make eggnog.
Hope: Shawn, honey, I can't believe all these gifts you bought.
Shawn D.: All the toys that are under the tree are for the family, and the ones over there on the piano are for the kids at the hospital. It's pretty cool what we did with the rest of E.J.'s money, huh?
Shawn D.: We took every penny left, and we bought toys for the kids.
Hope: I am so proud of you.
Shawn D.: This is the first step to making things right for our family.
Hope: Oh, I love you, Shawn Douglas.
Shawn D.: I love you, Mom.
Beverly: Mr. Kiriakis, I made contact. I'll proceed as planned.
Mimi: It's freezing in here. You're gonna catch pneumonia!
Max: I don't care. I'm not gonna let Victor win, and I'm not gonna spend Christmas down here. And I don't want our families worrying anymore. No more playing the victim. I don't know what's behind this wall, but I got a good idea that it's gonna be our future.
Marlena: Abe...Roman...John, you can't be serious.
John: They've got it all worked out. You won't be in any danger, Sami.
Bo: You'll meet him at some out-of-the-way public place, convince him you're on his side.
Roman: You'll say that you heard from your dad that the D.A.'s gonna spring an arrest warrant on him, that you want to help him get out of town safely. You make the arrangements. We'll take care of the rest.
Abe: I can assure you, you'll have police presence at all times. You'll never be alone with him.
Bo: We know we're asking you a lot, but you're the only one he trusts.
Sami: Okay. Okay, I'll do it.
Lucas: Like hell you will.
Mimi: Don't do it, Max. Put the gun down, and we will find another way out of here, please. Please.
Abby: I am gonna keep looking for Max. I don't care what you guys say.
Marlena: Abe, are you okay? Abe!
John: Whoa, whoa! Hey, hey, hey, hey.
E.J.: If you're so concerned about your son, why did you leave him at home alone?
Sami: Because I went to see the police.
