[Knocking on door]
Kate: Oh, God, where's John?
Marlena: Uh, John is not here. Why are you so upset?
Kate: When I find him, I am going to wring his neck.
Abe: Okay, let's take another look at these. Celeste thinks that these cards correlate with all the bad things that have been happening in Salem.
Roman: Like the embryo mix-up, Steve and Kayla's poisoning.
John: The Grand Prix crash, sabotaging my plane.
Abe: All of that. She thinks somebody is sending these to Wells one by one to instruct him on who his next target should be.
John: [Chuckles] The jury's gonna have fun with this one.
Abe: A lot of people don't believe in psychics. I'm one of them, but Celeste's track record can't be ignored.
John: That's a fact.
Abe: Celeste didn't volunteer this information. I had to drag it out of her. And she's convinced our troubles aren't over.
John: Of course they're not over. They're not gonna be over till we find whoever’s doing this, but come on, Abraham. What the hell is she saying? How is any of this helping us?
Roman: By putting us on high alert. Celeste noticed the death card was missing. She thinks when E.J. gets that card, somebody very close to us will be murdered.
Bo: Hey, Fancy Face. What?
Hope: The card got to me. "Without you, life makes no sense. I never want to lose you again, Hope. Our love is forever."
Chelsea: Doesn't this look yummy?
Billie: Are we celebrating something?
Chelsea: Uh-huh. The end of a very lousy Thanksgiving.
Billie: Oh. Hello?
Steve: Billie, are we still on for lunch?
Billie: I am if you are.
Steve: Good. I found a little place out in the country. It's quiet. It's on a lake.
Billie: The country. Sounds nice.
Steve: Yeah, I just wanted a chance to explain what's been going on face-to-face.
Billie: I'm looking forward to seeing you.
Steve: I'll pick you up at noon?
Steve: How's the patient?
Kayla: Well, Lexie seems to think I'm gonna live.
Steve: You let me know if she gives you any trouble.
Lexie: So far, she's been a model patient.
Kayla: Well, if you hadn't agreed to take care of me, Dr. Myers would have never let me go.
Lexie: Kayla, you have no idea how happy I am to be able to help you. Excuse me.
Steve: Yeah. So, since you're in such good hands, would you mind if I go out for a little while?
Stephanie: Dad, you can't leave. Mom needs you to stay with her.
Chelsea: Hot date, huh? Does dad know?
Billie: No, he doesn’t. And he wouldn't care if he did.
Chelsea: You don't think he'd be a little bit jealous?
Billie: No, I don’t. Hi, Patrick.
Chelsea: Want some ice cream?
Patrick: No, thanks. I'm actually here to talk to your mother.
Billie: What's up?
Patrick: Well, I got an anonymous e-mail, and I don't think you're gonna like it any more than I do. Here's the printout.
Billie: Oh, my God.
Patrick: Yeah, I'm sorry. I thought you should see it.
Billie: Who would do something like this?
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Billie: You did this. And don't even bother trying to deny it.
Chelsea: How come whenever something bad happens in this town, I'm the person that automatically gets blamed for it? Okay, Mother, tell me what it was that I supposedly did this time.
Billie: Let me refresh your memory. You took that picture when Bo and I were in bed together and sent it to Patrick, just like you hacked into your father's e-mails and rewrote them, making Hope think that he wanted a divorce. You are so sick, Chelsea.
Patrick: At least have the decency to own up to it.
Chelsea: Fine. Yeah, I took the picture.
Billie: Who else did you send it to you? Oh, what am I thinking? Of course. You sent it to Hope, didn't you?
Chelsea: Yeah, and I sent it to that pirate, too.
Patrick: Well, on that note, I have to go. Why don't you try growing up, huh?
Billie: How could you do this to your father, huh, after all the chances he has given you? He is gonna be even angrier with you than I am. And I warned you, Chelsea. Everyone did. So don't be surprised if he disowns you for good.
Bo: [Moans] It is so, so good to be back home with you like this.
Hope: Oh, wait a second.
Bo: What? I went too fast. I know that.
Hope: No, I want it -- I want this to be special.
Bo: Well, there's nothing more special than me being home with the woman I love.
Hope: I hope to prove you wrong.
Hope: I'll be back in five minutes... wearing something...a little more provocative.
Lexie: Kayla, I'll give you all some privacy. You call me if you need me, all right?
Kayla: I will. Thank you, Lexie.
Stephanie: Dad, please don't tell me that you're gonna leave mom alone.
Kayla: You know, I'm not alone. I have you here, and Lexie's just a phone call away.
Stephanie: Okay, but that's not the same.
Steve: Hey, Stephanie, I just want to take a drive, get some fresh air.
Kayla: You know, your father was cooped up in that hospital quarantine for weeks.
Stephanie: So were you.
Kayla: But the difference is he's well, and he stayed in that room for days after Dr. Myers said that he could go home. Really, please. Don't make him feel pressured. I don't want him to feel trapped.
Steve: You know, I don't really have to leave just yet.
Stephanie: Well, good. I've got some stuff to do, so I'll see you guys later.
Kayla: Are you sure you're okay, you know, living here with us?
Steve: I'm fine. Come on. I just have a little cabin fever, that's all.
Kayla: You know, I was thinking about us last night.
Kayla: Yeah, about something that happened a long time ago. Do you remember when we were on the run and we were hiding out in that motel room? And this couple came in, and there was no place else to hide. And so, you took me into the bathroom. And...
Kayla: Steve... aah!
Kayla: [Laughing] Remember that? You remember that? We were just drenched, and we were soaked. Do you remember that?
Steve: We were soaked. Yeah.
John: So, Celeste believes somebody close to us is gonna be killed.
Abe: You know how she gets these vibes.
John: But no vibes as to who it's gonna be? No, of course not.
Roman: No, it's just that she feels when E.J. gets that death card from Italy, that will be his signal to kill.
John: So, E.J.'s going after half the people in Salem here because of instructions he's receiving via a deck of tarot cards, and your source is Celeste and her vibes.
Abe: There's something more, John.
John: And what would that be?
Abe: That black onyx ring that Kate found in E.J.'s apartment.
John: Now, that I thought --
Abe: Yeah, you thought that connected E.J. to the DiMeras. Well, you were more right than you know. Celeste confirms that E.J. is a DiMera. And his sole purpose for being in Salem is to carry out his family's mission and destroy all the Brady’s.
Marlena: Why are you so angry with John?
Kate: E.J. is my business partner. I should have trusted him, but because of John's unfounded suspicions, I ransacked his apartment.
Marlena: Bo's suspicious, too, you know.
Kate: I know he is, but the police department completely exonerated him. Roman and Abe went on television to announce the fact that the investigation is completely through.
Marlena: Then you should feel relieved about that.
Kate: But E.J. knows. He knows that I searched his apartment. And thanks to John, our relationship is completely undermined. I even stole a ring from him.
Marlena: Yes, I heard about that. John told me about that. John feels that ring connects E.J. to the DiMeras.
Kate: It's a class ring. It's a class ring from England. It has nothing to do with the DiMeras.
Marlena: Are you sure?
Kate: That's what he told me.
Marlena: What if he lied? What if you're wrong about him?
John: So, what about you guys? You think E.J. is a DiMera? I saw the press conference. You'd think he won the Nobel Prize.
Abe: Not our proudest moment.
Roman: But we're not giving up, John. Just our investigation has to go undercover now, which is exactly where you come in.
John: Roman, come on. What do you got? You got pictures of a bunch of tarot cards and a black onyx ring and a psychic who, what, looks into her crystal ball and decides E.J. is a DiMera?
Roman: We got you, a DiMera yourself.
John: Ahh, I get it. It takes one to know one. Is that it? Well, Roman, you should know yourself it doesn't work that way. Look, the DiMera organization has been off everybody's radar since Tony went to prison. As far as Stefano is concerned, everybody thinks he's dead.
Abe: Look, John, E.J. may or may not be a DiMera, but we need you to help us find out.
John: That's funny, Abraham, seeing as how you turned me down when I offered to help before.
Abe: John, listen to me. You've been on the inside. Nobody knows their operation like you do, and we need somebody to infiltrate to stop that plot before someone we care about is killed.
John: So, you're asking me to go to Italy and what, muck around in the family swamp? Is that it?
Abe: That's one way to put it. So, what do you say? Will you do it?
Bo: Hey, Fancy Face. I got the sparkling cider out. The candles are all lit, and -- what -- what's wrong?
Hope: My laptop was open. And I saw that I had an e-mail. Actually, I was going to delete it because I didn't know who it was from.
Bo: Well, what was it?
Hope: Can you explain this?
Roman: Listen, John, you want to nail Wells every bit as much as we do. He could have killed you and Marlena.
John: If he's the one who sabotaged my plane, you're damn right I do. But I'm not in law enforcement anymore, and you keep reminding me of that. Yeah, I did a little gumshoe work for Bo, but this is a completely different deal. You're asking me to take on the DiMera Cartel on their home turf without knowing who or what the hell I'd be going up against.
Abe: Which is exactly what you were eager to do a few days ago.
John: Well, like I said, Abraham, things have changed. I had another talk with Marlena about this "situation." I've never seen her more adamant about anything in her life, which is saying a hell of a lot. So, no. The answer's no. I'm not gonna do this to my wife.
Kate: I mean, I have seen Stefano's ring before, and, yes, it did bear a slight resemblance to it, but it's in no way the same ring. I can't believe that I let John talk me into believing this.
Marlena: Kate, you're intelligent. I can't believe someone could persuade you about something that you didn't find credible. So, tell me, how close are you and E.J.?
Kate: Well, close. I mean -- I mean, we've moved past being just business partners. We're friends. We're good friends. I mean, at least, we were before John forced me to spy on him.
Marlena: Hey, wait a minute. Hold on. John tells me that you volunteered to spy on him and he tried to talk you out of it. Oh. I know what's going on here.
Marlena: You're sleeping with E.J., aren't you?
Kayla: [Laughing] That was it. Do you remember? Remember what happened next? The sprinklers went off. We got soaking wet. And you said, "as long as we're already wet..."
Kayla: Steve, you look like you're in the middle of a wash cycle.
Steve: Oh, yeah? I look like I'm in the middle of a wash cycle? Is that right?
Kayla: What are you doing?
Steve: I'll show you who looks like they're in the middle of a wash cycle. You need a little soap here. You're kind of dirty, you know that?
Kayla: Give me that.
Kayla: Hold still. Hold still.
Steve: You hold still.
Kayla: What is it with us and water? I mean, how many times were we stuck in a thunderstorm or on a boat with waves crashing over us? It was always the same, you know? We'd end up soaking wet and laughing and... and then... I'm sorry. Did I make you feel uncomfortable?
Steve: I guess I'm just a little antsy. I'm sorry.
Kayla: Well, you know what? Go for that drive, then. Go ahead and go.
Steve: I think that'll help.
Stephanie: Hey, guys.
Kayla: Hey, baby. What have you been doing?
Stephanie: Well, I was working on the computer. I wanted to set up an internet account for dad.
Steve: Good luck with that.
Stephanie: Yeah, um, well, you already got an e-mail.
Steve: Who even knows I have e-mail?
Stephanie: Yeah, I don't know who it's from, but they sent you a picture of Uncle Bo and Billie Reed in bed together.
Stephanie: Yeah, see for yourself.
Kayla: Oh, jeez.
Steve: Let me see that.
Billie: Hey. After all your promises. You were gonna try and be a better person.
Chelsea: What kind of person are you being, Mom?
Billie: Hey, I have never hurt you the way that you are hurting me right now. To send Steve that picture --
Chelsea: Steve is married. He is living with his wife now, so why can't you just back off?
Billie: This is about your behavior, not mine.
Chelsea: Mom, how many men have you been with, and they've all made you miserable? First it was Patrick, then Steve. Why can't you just admit it that in your heart, you want to be with dad?
Billie: That's what you want, Chelsea, not me. Bo loves Hope.
Chelsea: Hope is pregnant with Patrick's child. And that child deserves to be with its parents, just like I do.
Patrick: Dr. Bader, it's me. Yes, you will get your money as soon as I get an advance from my boss. Just remember you have to do the amnio yourself. Hope can never find out that Bo is the father of her baby.
Chelsea: If you're expecting me to say sorry, it's not gonna happen. No matter what you say, you and dad belong together. This picture says it all.
Billie: This picture says nothing, Chelsea. We were comforting each other. That's all it was. We seem to do that. We fall into the same familiar patterns quite a bit. But we stopped because you know what? We knew it was wrong. Nothing happened, Chelsea. Do you understand me?
Chelsea: Try to convince Hope and Steve of that.
Billie: Oh, believe me, I will.
Hope: The photograph has a date stamp. It's from just a couple of weeks ago.
Bo: Yeah. This was the day you came to see me at the pub when Billie was there.
Hope: Yeah, I remember. You must have just thrown your clothes on.
Bo: No. Billie was upset about Steve. I was a bit upset 'cause you had taken off with Lockhart again, and... Hope, nothing happened, I swear, except that we found out that we're friends and that's all we're ever gonna be. And we just need to be there for each other.. Bottom line -- Billie knows you're the only woman I love, the only woman I'll ever love. Hope, come on. We've come such a long way here. We just said we'd never lie to each other, and I meant it.
Hope: So did I. And then I see this. I don't know if I can get past it, just knowing that you were tempted, seeing you in each other's arms.
Bo: I'm sorry, Fancy Face. I hate seeing you hurt like this.
Hope: Who could have taken that photo?
Bo: I wonder. [Telephone rings] Brady.
Billie: Bo, it's Billie. I'm glad I caught you.
Bo: She's seen it.
Billie: That's what I was afraid of.
Bo: I wonder who took it. Is she there with you?
Billie: Yes, she is.
Bo: Keep her there. I'm on my way.
Billie: Thank you.
Marlena: Okay. You don't have to answer me. It's written all over your face, Kate.
Kate: So what if I am sleeping with E.J.? What are you gonna do, stone me?
Marlena: I'm gonna warn you. John thinks you ought to get out while you can.
Kate: John's wrong about E.J., and so are you.
Marlena: Well, if he's involved with the DiMeras, then he's a very dangerous man. You should know that. I'm even nervous about John. That's why I've asked him to get away from that case, withdraw from the investigation, let the police handle it.
Kate: I really think you're overreacting. And I know you've had a very long, very difficult year, and I sympathize with that, but you're happy now. And I deserve to be happy, too. It's been a long time since I had a man. in my life. Of course, you wouldn't know about that.. You have two men devoted to you.
Marlena: Two? Hmm.
Kate: There's John, of course, and Roman always waiting in the wings.
Marlena: Roman and I are just friends.
Kate: Roman has never gotten over losing you, and everyone knows it. But I trust E.J. I enjoy his company. And that's that.
Marlena: Then you're letting your heart overrule your head, Kate. That can be a very fatal mistake.
John: Look, guys... damn it! Marlena begged me. She's begged me to stay out of this investigation. I've done all I can to help you here, but right now I got to abide by her wishes.
Roman: Don't tell her.
John: Come on. That's a joke, isn't it?
Roman: John, think about it. Come up with an excuse. You got to go to Italy on a business trip.
John: And what if I go to Italy on a business trip and I get myself killed? On top of losing me, for her to know that my last words to her were a lie? No way in hell I'm gonna risk that, Roman.
Abe: John -- John, I understand. I'm sure Roman does, too, but we're running out of options.
Roman: John, let me put it this way. If you don't help us out, the DiMeras could finally win.
Stephanie: Do you see the date on that? It was taken at the same time you guys were quarantined in the hospital.
Kayla: There has to be some explanation. Bo wouldn't do this to Hope, not after everything he's gone through to have to get her back. There's no way.
Stephanie: Pictures don't lie, Mom.
Kayla: Well, who would have taken this, and why would they have sent it to Steve?
Steve: I'm gonna find out.
Kayla: What are you gonna do?
Steve: I'm gonna go. I'm gonna find out.
Stephanie: Dad, you cannot leave. Look how upset she is.
Kayla: No, no, no, I'm fine. I'm just having a little trouble catching my breath.
Stephanie: I'm calling Lexie.
Steve: Yeah, call her. Okay, just take it easy.
Kayla: I don't know what's the matter. I can't catch my breath.
Lexie: What happened?
Steve: We were talking, and she got worked up.
Stephanie: She couldn't catch her breath. She scared us to death.
Lexie: Hmm, I think she hyperventilated.
Stephanie: Do I need to call an ambulance?
Lexie: I'll let you know in a minute.
Billie: Hi, it's Billie. Are you still coming over later?
Steve: I can’t.
Billie: Oh. Okay, well, if you have to cancel, can we at least -- I need to talk to you.
Steve: I don't know if I can. I got to go.
Billie: Are you happy now? You finally got exactly what you wanted.
Bo: I wouldn't count on that.
Patrick: Hey, I saw that Bo's car wasn't here, so I thought I'd stop by and say hi. Are you okay?
Hope: This just really isn't a good time right now.
Patrick: Yeah. [Clears throat] I can see that this really isn't a good time. [Chuckles] Things are really moving along fast for you and Bo. Are you sure you know what you're getting into with him?
Hope: Patrick, Bo is my husband. I have tried to make it clear that you and I have no future together other than this baby that I'm carrying. I promised you, I won't cut you out of that part of my life. You can go to the amnio, anything else involving the baby, but you need to stay out of my personal life with Bo.
Patrick: Yeah, you're gonna take him back when he can't keep his hands off of Billie.
Bo: Here's the thing, little girl. Your mother and I have given you the benefit of the doubt a few too many times. And you know what? It's over.
Chelsea: But, Dad, I was just --
Bo: I don't give a damn what you want, and at this point, neither does your mom.
Bo: Quit your whining. It's not gonna help.
Billie: You keep making the same mistakes over and over and over, and they just keep getting worse.
Bo: You know, our problem is we can't seem to get it through your thick skull that you're not gonna break up Hope and me. I respect your mom and want only the best for her, but no matter how much you scheme and plan, she and I are never gonna be together. And you're gonna have to learn to live with that.
Chelsea: I won’t.
Bo: Yes. Yes. Yes, you will. But there's something you're gonna have to learn to live without.
Chelsea: What? Dad! What are you doing? My whole life is on that computer.
Bo: Aw, your whole little life. You expect me to be concerned about that when you ruin other people's lives?
Chelsea: What am I supposed to do without it?
Bo: Honey, don't much know and don't much care. See you, Billie.
Billie: Yeah. That's it, Chelsea. That's it. From now on, we have zero tolerance for you.
Lexie: Okay, she'll be all right. She just got overly agitated. The sedative I gave her should do the trick.
Stephanie: Thank goodness.
Lexie: Look, I don't know what you were talking about, but until she's stronger, you should try to avoid topics that might upset her.
Steve: Thanks for coming so quick, Lexie.
Lexie: Well, that's what I'm here for -- to help. Let me dispose of this needle, okay? Excuse me.
Kayla: Thank you.
Steve: Hey. You got to stop scaring us like that.
Kayla: I'm sorry. I feel fine now.
Stephanie: Yeah. Well, you're gonna get better, especially with dad here.. He's the best medicine you could possibly have, right?
Kate: What E.J. and I have is between us, but I assure you, he is a perfect gentleman.
Marlena: Not everybody thinks so.
Kate: Well, not everyone knows him as well as I do. You need to tell John that I will never spy on E.J. again, ever.
Marlena: Not to worry. John is no longer involved in the investigation. He gave me his word.
John: So it's all up to me. Well, when it comes to the DiMeras, you're right. That's my turf. I know how they think. I know how they operate.
Abe: Better than anyone.
John: Damn me, I'm going to Italy. If there is a link between E.J., Tony, and Stefano, I will find it.
Abe: Thanks, partner. We really appreciate that.
John: But this stays right here. I mean it. You got to swear to me right now that nobody, I mean nobody, knows about this, especially Marlena.
Hope: Patrick, stay out of it. If you think this opens the door for you and me, forget it.
Patrick: The guy is cheating on you, Hope. I would never do that.
Hope: Patrick, stop it! I told you, I am not interested.
Patrick: I don't buy that. Come on, we were doing fine until Bo came along.
Hope: Patrick. Ooh. Oh. Now look what you did.
Patrick: Sorry. It was an accident.
Hope: I want you to leave. Go! Get out!
Marlena: Missed you.
John: Missed you.
Marlena: Well, how was it?
John: I had my talk with Abe and Roman about E.J., just like you wanted me to.
Marlena: How'd it go?
John: It, uh... it went good. It went good. The department publicly apologized to him, so they closed the case.
Marlena: Oh. Are you okay with that?
John: I'm gonna have to be. He's no longer a suspect, so it's time to move on.
Marlena: Oh, well, I don't know about you, but I'm very relieved.
John: I made you a promise that I would wash my hands of the official investigation, and that's what I'm doing. Time to concentrate on business now, which brings me to this point. I got to make a little trip for Basic Black. It seems that one of our companies is underperforming.
Marlena: Really? Which one? Where is it?
Kate: Hello, Chelsea. I came as soon as I got your call. Oh, baby. I can see by your face it's a lot worse than it sounded. What happened?
Chelsea: I'm a failure.
Kate: Don't say that. Tell me, what happened?
Chelsea: You told me that sometimes it was good to play dirty, but I'm not as good at it as you are.
Kate: You're young, dear. You'll get better. Oh, come on. Tell me, so, what's it about, your mom and dad?
Chelsea: Yeah, I was trying to get them back together.
Kate: Chelsea, what did I tell you about that?
Chelsea: I know. I know. But now dad is more mad at me than he ever has been before and mom, too. I was trying --
Kate: No, no, no, no. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what you were trying to do because it isn't what you did. That's not the problem. It's what you didn't do. You didn't plan for the possibility that you'd get caught. Now, that's my cardinal rule. When plan "A" fails, you go straight to plan "B."
Chelsea: I didn't have a plan "B."
Kate: Well, next time you will, won't you? But, sweetie, you really need to take a long, hard look at what your true goal really is. You want a family who loves you, and you have that. You have to stop pushing them away.
Chelsea: Yeah, but it might be too late.
Kate: No, no, no. It's never too late. You just need to re-energize your strategy and then go after your goal.
Billie: God, Patrick, I don't -- I don't know what to do about her.
Patrick: Look, I hate to say it, but Chelsea may have done you a favor. Look, if she scared off Steve Johnson, say good riddance, Billie. The guy doesn't know what he wants. He doesn't know who he is. You deserve a hell of a lot better.
Steve: Here we go. You get some rest, huh?
Kayla: Thank you for everything. Thank you for just being here.
Stephanie: Look, dad, I don't know who sent you that e-mail, but seeing that picture must make you feel pretty good that you're with mom. And now that you remember how much you loved her, I just know that you're gonna be with her forever.
Bo: What happened, Hope?
Hope: I managed to save most of the flowers.
Bo: You were so angry, you broke the vase?
Hope: Patrick was here.
Bo: Lockhart did this?
Hope: Bo, it was an accident. And he saw the photo. I told him it was none of his business. I tried to get him to leave, and then the flowers went flying everywhere.
Bo: He got physical with you?
Hope: Bo --
Bo: Hope, you're pregnant and he does something like -- what the hell is the matter with him?
Hope: Brady, wait. Wait! What are you doing? Don't! What are you gonna do? Brady!
Abby: You do understand that she's using you, right?
Nick: Chelsea will suddenly look at Nick Fallon and realize what she's been missing out on.
Kate: You need to smooth out those rough edges or you're gonna spend your life all alone.
E.J.: You have been running around leaving a wake of chaos behind you. There's a price to be paid for that, Patrick.
Hope: I don't know you anymore, Brady. You better just get yourself a good attorney.
Bo: Hope, what is go–
