Marlena: Aah! Aah! Oh. Oh, John. Oh, my gosh.

John: It's all right. It's okay. It's okay. You're just having a bad dream. It's okay.

Marlena: It was a terrible dream. I thought that y-- John, the investigation. You promised me. You are dropping out, right?

John: Look, Doc --

Marlena: No, don't say "look, Doc."

John: Just hear me out.

Marlena: No, no, I wonít. You made me a promise. Promise me again right now.

[Doorbell rings]

Bo: Hey.

Hope: Hi.

Bo: I'm not too early?

Hope: No, no, actually, I just put the coffee on. Does this feel as strange to you as it does to me right now?

Bo: Yeah, I'm sure. It also feels good just being home.

Hope: I'm glad you're here.

Bo: Yeah. Thanks for giving us another chance.

Hope: I think our marriage deserves it.

Bo: Yeah, me too. So, how's Stephanie doing?

Hope: Stephanie -- she's great. She's good. She's getting dressed right now. I told her I'd take her to the hospital to visit with her mom and dad.

Bo: Yeah, that new drug -- it's a miracle. The docs say Kay's gonna be right as rain.

Hope: Thank God, huh?

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: It's strange to think that maybe if Kayla hadn't gotten so sick, if she hadn't almost died that possibly Steve and Kayla wouldn't be together right now...or you and me.

Bo: Right. It's a turning point for us, too.

Steve: Hey. What are you doing out of bed?

Kayla: I'm feeling a lot better, thanks to you.

Steve: You still shouldn't be up. Come on.

Kayla: I'm tired of lying in that bed. And besides, I missed you.

Abe: Wherever you think you're going, donít.

Tek: I want to get some fresh air.

Abe: Not now. These are E.J. Wells' phone records and bank statements. We got to go through all of them.

Tek: We?

Abe: You.

Tek: That's what I thought you meant.

Abe: Little less lip and more work, detective. I want to know who Wells is calling and who's calling him and any suspicious bank statements --

Tek: So I got to do this all by myself, huh?

Abe: I can't spare anybody else, so get cracking. If Wells is involved in these gloved-hand crimes, he's going down. Is there a problem?

Tek: Yeah, I'm not doing it.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.

John: We're gonna be touching down in Salem soon. Why don't you try to get some sleep?

Marlena: You can't avoid this conversation forever, John. Maybe you can ignore what happened to us. I can't do that.

John: I'm not ignoring anything.

Marlena: We should be enjoying our lives right now, not chasing down unnecessary risks.

John: Sometimes the adventure pays off. If you hadn't bailed out of the plane, you never would have met Smokey Robinson.

Marlena: All right. Say we had this all to do over again. Would you still have me jump out of the plane?

John: Hell no. But it all worked out in the end, didn't it? You were right about this whole thing all the way.

Marlena: I'm right this time, too, John. Tell Bo to find himself a new sidekick.

John: There's things you don't know, things that put a whole different spin on this investigation. And in light of those developments, I have to make sure that E.J. Wells and Patrick Lockhart are brought to justice.

Marlena: What things?

John: I had a talk with Abe when I got back. Our plane was checked out when I made that emergency landing in Ottawa.

Marlena: And?

John: He showed me the maintenance report. That system was tampered with..

Marlena: What?

John: And whoever did it left their usual calling card. The mechanic found it in the engine compartment -- a black leather glove.

Marlena: Then we were sabotaged. Somebody was trying to kill us.

John: And they almost succeeded. You and I aren't innocent bystanders anymore, Doc. This has become personal, and I'm not walking away from it.

Hope: I meant it when I said I'm willing to work on our relationship. I'm hoping we can get this marriage back on track.

Bo: I'm all for that. So, where do you want me to put my stuff? I'll sleep anywhere. I don't want to pressure you.

Hope: And I appreciate that.

Bo: We'll take this as slowly or quickly as you like.

Hope: It's your house, too. I say you put your suitcase in the master bedroom.

Bo: Are you sure?

Hope: I'm sure.

Bo: Cool.

Hope: Look... this is gonna feel a little strange for both of us.

Bo: That's very true.

Hope: So, let's just take one day at a time, be ourselves. Oh, and just so you know, I haven't changed any of my habits, so everything that drove you crazy before I'm sure will still drive you crazy.

Bo: And I'm sure I could match you annoyance for annoyance. So, like you say, one day at a time. That coffee smells great. Mind if I help myself?

Hope: It's your house, too.

Stephanie: Okay.

Hope: Oh, you all set?

Stephanie: Yep.

Hope: Okay.

Bo: Hey. Good morning, Steph. Got some great news about your mom.

Stephanie: I know. I talked to the doctor as soon as I got up. He thinks she's gonna make a complete recovery. And you know what that means? Both of my parents will finally be coming home. I can't wait. The three of us will be together, the way it's supposed to be, just like the two of you.

Bo: Steph, as far as your mom and dad moving in together right away, maybe you shouldn't get your hopes up too high.

Stephanie: Okay, but now that he remembers their life together -- well, most of it, anyway -- why shouldn't I? You saw the way he stood by her. Dr. Myers told him he could leave, but he wanted to stay and be with her, even though he could have gotten sick again.

Hope: And that was very brave of him.

Stephanie: Yeah, so I understand that my mom got better because John and Marlena brought her the new medication, but it was also because he wouldn't let go of her. The way he kissed her -- her heart literally started beating again. That doesn't prove how strong their love is?

Bo: Yeah, it sure does, but you got to give them a chance to figure out what they want. I mean, even once they leave the hospital, it's gonna take some time for them to feel comfortable with each other again.

Stephanie: Why are you being so negative?

Bo: All I'm saying is they haven't even had a chance to talk, much less talk about the future. Now, if you're right --

Stephanie: I am.

Bo: Then they will eventually find their way back to each other. But you can't force that, Stephanie. It might not happen as quickly as you'd like.

Stephanie: Well, I think it will. I have to get to the hospital. It is really cold outside, so why don't you give me the keys, and I'll go warm up the car?

Hope: That's a great idea, sweetie. I appreciate that. I'll be right out, okay?

Stephanie: Okay.

Hope: You are being negative.

Bo: No, she's setting herself up for a letdown.

Hope: You know something I don't know?

Bo: Steve still has feelings for Billie.

Hope: Why do you say that?

Bo: Because he wants to see her again. Don't get me wrong. I want Steve and Kay to work out more than anybody. I just don't want Steph to get hurt.

Steve: Come on, baby. You've got to walk before you can run, now. Come on. I got to get you back to your bed.

Kayla: I know you're worried about me, but I really do feel so much better. I don't know what that medicine is they gave me, but I can feel it working already.

Steve: I can see that. But you came as close to dying as a person can, you know that?

Kayla: And I would have if it weren't for you.

Steve: A lot of people were pulling for you, not just me.

Kayla: But it was your voice I heard. It was you I heard saying "hang on" and "you're gonna be okay." And knowing that you were by my side -- that's what did it.

Steve: Well, I'm happy about that. God knows I owe you for everything you've done for me -- the times you've waited on me and put up with my garbage, nursed me back to health.

Kayla: You really remember all that? I still can't believe it. You know, I know how incredibly hard it has been for you these last few months with everybody telling you who you used to be and what you were like and what our relationship was like and our life together.. And you didn't really remember. To tell you the truth, I was really thinking about just letting you go, just walking away if that's what you really wanted. But now that I know that you remember, I don't want us to ever be apart again.

Marlena: Do you have any idea why we were suddenly targeted?

John: No. It may not be so sudden. Want to talk about your kidnaping in New Jersey?

Marlena: Do you think the same people did that?

John: Possibility.

Marlena: Then you must think that E.J. and Patrick were involved.

John: Yes, I do. And I'm getting really close to smoking them out. There's a good and a bad to that. The good is if I can nail them, I can just throw them away with Tony. The bad is if they feel that I'm breathing down their necks, they're gonna be even more dangerous and nobody's safe, including you and me. You understand that, don't you?

Marlena: John, you have a partner. It's me. You've got a daughter, a granddaughter. You and I made promises. I expect you to keep them.

John: Look --

Marlena: And I don't want to lose you.

John: Do you think I want that? Hell no, but I'm not gonna walk away from this now. Whoever's doing this, they're not gonna give up. Just because they failed on their first attempt to kill us doesn't mean they're not gonna try again. And if I stand by and do nothing, eventually, they are going to succeed.

John: Now, you know that onyx ring only means one thing. E.J. is connected to the DiMeras.

Marlena: I thought once Tony was in prison and Stefano was dead, we were safe again.

John: The DiMeras are like cockroaches. You step on one here, another one runs across the floor over there.

Marlena: Do you think they're behind all the awful things that have happened in Salem?

John: Yes, I do. Listen, whether I go after them or not, they know how to find us, and I'm not gonna be a sitting duck. Now, I am Tony's half brother, and I know how that old man thinks better than anybody. So if anybody's gonna bring him down, it's gonna be me..

Marlena: Do you think that being involved in the case has made us a target? We were left alone for so long there. I don't want to stir things up, John. Look, I'm finally feeling like myself again, and we have our lives back. The DiMeras could spoil that. They could ruin that for us. We know that. So, please, John, I'm begging you.

John: I can't walk away from this. It is inside of me. I am sorry, but this is one time I'm gonna ride my instincts.

Tek: It's not gonna happen.

Abe: I'm warning you, Tek.

Tek: No, you're gonna listen to me now. You've had it in for me ever since the night you caught me with your wife.

Abe: Leave Lexie out of this.

Tek: Why? That's what this is all about. You hate me, and you have every right to. But you're not gonna be happy until I'm off the force. So, let's cut the crap. Fire me. Take my gun and my badge, and let me walk out of here with some dignity.

Abe: If it were up to me, you would never work as a police officer anywhere, but protocol --

Tek: Forget protocol. If you want your paper shuffling done, ask somebody else. I'm a street cop, Abe. I'm not chaining myself to a desk just 'cause you don't like the fact that Lexie and I were together.

Abe: I told you to leave her out of this!

Roman: You, get the hell out of here. Go. Sit down in that damn chair. You listen to me. I can't do a damn thing about the bad blood between you and Abe, but this is no time to be thumping your chest and refusing to take orders. We got a cop killer out there, Tek, after my family, God knows who else. Abe is under heat. He's got to do something about that, all right? So, this is not grunt work. It is damn important.

Tek: If you say so.

Roman: I do say so. Now, you look right at me. Maybe Abe did assign you this to show you who's boss, but maybe he did it because he still has faith in you despite your little fling with his wife. So stop acting like a damn prima donna and do the work. Do you understand me?

Tek: Yes, I understand you. I'm gonna do it. This is the last time, man.

Roman: You better damn well do it.

Hope: I knew Steve was starting to have feelings for Billie. That's why he asked me to go and buy that necklace for her. But when he started remembering his life with Kayla --

Bo: You thought everything had changed.

Hope: And Billie didn't accept the necklace. She told him point-blank she's not interested anymore.

Bo: Yeah, well, Billie doesn't get over things so quickly. Actually, neither does Steve.

Hope: Okay, look, I know that you're his best friend, you know him better than anyone, but you saw the way Steve looked at her. She's the love of his life.

Bo: And I don't doubt that, but this total-recall thing -- it's a bit convenient. Hope, we coach him on his memories with Kay and then they suddenly come back to him? Kay probably said the same damn things to him and he didn't remember anything.

Hope: What are you saying, he's faking?

Bo: [Sighs] What I'm saying is that when he said he wanted to go see Billie, I felt like there was some unfinished business there.

Hope: Oh, God, no. If this is true... if this is true, Kayla is gonna be crushed.

Bo: Exactly. So, we all got to be cautious, especially Stephanie. She's got to let things with her parents play out.

Hope: I better not keep Stephanie waiting. Hey... would you like to have dinner with me tonight?

Bo: You bet I would.

Hope: Okay. Welcome home.

Bo: Thanks.

Steve: Kayla, if Dr. Myers sees you out of bed, he's gonna raise holy hell.

Kayla: And do I care? Look at me. I'm a woman who's alive. I want to walk and talk and do a little jig. Whoa.

Steve: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Come on. Now, you have got to sit down. Come on..

Kayla: All right, okay. Maybe -- maybe you're right.

Steve: Look, I'm happy that you're feeling stronger, but you got to take it easy now. The doctor said it's gonna be a long road before you're completely mended.

Kayla: Well, you're the boss.

Steve: That's right, and the boss wants to get a nurse in here to check you out.

Kayla: No, I'm fine.

Steve: Yeah, I want to hear that from the nurse.

Kayla: Wait.

Steve: What?

Kayla: I think we need to talk first. You know, before, when I said I didn't want us to be apart again, you just sort of changed the subject.

Steve: Can't we just save this for later?

Kayla: No, we need to talk about it now. I don't really know how much you really remember. Maybe I scared you by assuming that we would just be together again. And if that's not what you really want --

Steve: I didn't say that.

Kayla: Just because you remember our past, that doesn't mean that you have to still love me. I mean, they're really two separate things. Look at me. You know what? We used to talk about everything. And you can do that now. You can tell me how you really feel.

Bo: Hey, Marlena. It's good see you.

Marlena: Good to see you, too.

Bo: You hurt yourself?

Marlena: Just a sprain.

Bo: Come on in.

Marlena: Thank you.

Bo: I wonder if that happened when you jumped out of an airplane in the middle of a snowstorm helping to save Kayla's life.

Marlena: I'm so glad she's doing better.

Bo: You wouldn't believe how much better. Hope and Steph just went down to the hospital to see her. When did you and John get back?

Marlena: A few minutes ago. He's at the station right now with Abe.

Bo: Oh, man, I got to get down there. We're all working on this investigation together.

Marlena: That's what I was going to talk to you about.

Bo: Okay, well, have a seat.

Marlena: Oh, thanks. I actually -- thank you -- have a favor to ask of you.

Bo: Go ahead.

Marlena: I would like you to persuade John to get off the case and make him believe that you and Roman and Abe can handle this on your own. It's important to me, Bo. I don't want to lose him.

Kayla: Steve, be honest with me. If you don't feel the same way about me anymore, if the memories that you shared with me when you thought that I was dying were just memories and nothing more... I'll understand. I won't push. Just tell me what you want.

Steve: Kayla, listen. I just want to explain to you...

Stephanie: Mom.

Steve: ...What has been going on.

Kayla: Baby!

Stephanie: Hi, Mom!

Kayla: Baby. Help me over there.

Steve: Just take it easy.

Kayla: Baby.

Steve: Come on.

Kayla: Girls.

Stephanie: It is so good to see you awake.

Steve: She's already been overdoing it, so don't talk too long, okay?

Stephanie: We wonít. It is so awesome to see you standing.

Kayla: Awesome to see you, period. Hope...

Hope: It is so good to see you up and talking.

Stephanie: Yeah, you really look so good. Don't ever do anything like that to me again, okay? I was so afraid I was gonna lose you and dad and wind up all alone.

Kayla: You would never be alone. You have such a huge family here in Salem.

Stephanie: Well, I'm just glad that you didn't give up and that dad didn't let you give up. He was amazing. Do you have any idea how hard he worked to keep you alive? If it wasn't for him, by the time that medicine got here from Canada... well, I don't even want to think about it.

Kayla: He's my hero.

Stephanie: So, when's mom getting out of here?

Steve: Well, that's up to Dr. Myers.

Stephanie: Well, I hope it's soon. And then the two of you will be coming home together, right?

Kayla: Stephanie, you know, we really don't even have a place here to call home, and it's not really fair to expect your dad just to jump right back into family life with us, especially since he's been on his own for so long and things are just starting to come back to him.

Stephanie: Yeah, but they have come back. You remember how much you love mom and how close we all were, right?

Steve: Sure, I do.

Stephanie: See, Mom? Dad's coming home with us. Why wouldn't he?

Steve: You heard her. Coming home with you.

Stephanie: I've had a lot of good days in my life, but this is the best one ever.

Kayla: You know, I'm really feeling kind of woozy, baby.

Steve: Whoa, whoa, whoa. See? I told you. Come on. She's got to get back to bed. You're gonna take a nap this time, okay?

Stephanie: I'm gonna go call grandma and grandpa and let them know all is well with the Johnson family.

Hope: All right, honey.

Dr. Myers: Your sister-in-law is much improved.

Hope: I know. What a relief.

Dr. Myers: The new drug has worked wonders, but she's gonna have to be patient. The damage done to her lungs and organs will take time to heal.

Steve: Hey, doc. Listen, when can we get the hell out of here?

Dr. Myers: In Kayla's case, it's gonna take a while. She needs to be closely monitored, and she'll require oxygen therapy and rehab. You're free to leave any time you want.

Hope: What if I hired a private nurse to take care of Kayla? Would you release her from the hospital sooner?

Dr. Myers: If you can find a competent private-duty nurse to monitor her, then yes, I'd have no problem with signing her release.

Hope: All right, then, let's see what we can do. [Pager beeps]

Dr. Myers: Sorry, I'm needed in ICU we'll talk later.

Hope: Thank you, doctor.

Steve: Hey, I really appreciate that, Hope. The thought of another week in this joint --

Hope: Keep your fingers crossed. I have someone who might be able to help us out. I'll be back in a second, all right?

Steve: Hope, wait. I need to talk to you.

Hope: What is it? What's up?

Steve: Listen, I'm in trouble here. There's no easy way to say this, but you should know. I didn't really remember all those things Kayla thinks I did. Now, all the stuff that you and Bo wrote down, the stories you brought me, they didn't really jog my memory the way you hoped.

Hope: Are you saying you don't remember anything?

Steve: A little bit here and there.

Hope: A little? A little's something.

Steve: No, it's not what I've let everybody think. I got a couple of memories, but I don't have the feelings that should go with them. I just wanted to give Kayla the will to live, but I think I overplayed my hand. Now she and Stephanie think that I'M... you know, I'm gonna come back and we're gonna be this happy family.

Hope: And you don't want that.

Steve: How long before they realize I'm just a liar, lying to them?

Abe: Let's take a break, huh?

Roman: Well, might as well. Yeah.

Abe: Damn it. Where's the smoking gun?

Roman: We just got to keep chipping away. Abe, it's not like we don't have evidence.

Abe: Yeah, but it's all circumstantial. The D.A.'s gonna need a lot more to pin anything on Wells or Lockhart. Hey, look who's back. Good to see you, John.

John: Abraham.

Roman: Hey.

John: Hey. How's Kayla?

Roman: Night and day. It's like night and day. Responding to the medicines. Doctors think she's gonna be fine.

John: That's great.

Abe: What about Marlena?

John: Little sprained ankle, but outside of that, she's feisty as ever.

Roman: John, I can't tell you how much we appreciate what you two did.

John: I'm glad it all worked out. Listen, I want to talk to you two about the Wells-Lockhart case. As you know, I have been operating on the periphery for a couple of weeks now.

Abe: Yeah, you've been a big help.

John: Well, I want to be even more of a help. Like I told you at the airport, this has become personal now.

Abe: And I told you that wasn't what I wanted to hear.

John: Look, enough is enough. They murdered Eve Michaels. They blew up Max's race car, poisoned Steve and Kayla, and almost killed Doc and me by sabotaging our plane. I'm not gonna play armchair detective anymore. I want to be on the inside. I want you to deputize me right now.

Bo: Marlena, I don't want John to get hurt either, but come on. He's a tough guy and a great investigator. And to tell you the truth, we need him on this.

Marlena: I don't want to sound selfish. And I know you need him, but, Bo, I need him more.

Bo: Marlena --

Marlena: You know, I wasn't crazy about the idea of John getting involved with the Lockhart investigation. He was having such a good time with all of you and liked the work and loved being with you. But now that investigation has expanded into E.J. Wells and possibly the DiMeras. That makes it dangerous. Somebody might get hurt. I don't want it to be John. I don't want to lose him. We've spent so much time trying to fight our way back together.

Bo: I hear you.

Marlena: So, I'm counting on you. And I figure he'll put up a pretty good fight.

Bo: I don't know who's more stubborn, you or him.

Marlena: Or you. Could be you. [Chuckles] I kind of figure that if you and Abe dig your heels in, kind of shut him out, he won't have any choice. So, will you do that for me, Bo? You know, I'm not in the habit of asking people to return favors. I saved your sister's life. I'd like you to help me save my husband's life. I want him to forget about E.J. and Patrick and the DiMeras. Will you help me, please?

Roman: John, I can't speak for Abe.

John: All right, just tell me what you think.

Roman: Well, it's not my call.

John: Abraham, what's it gonna be? You gonna let me in on this?

Abe: I don't think so, John.

John: Oh, come on, Abe. I've already been working on it. So has Marlena. We almost got killed because of that.

Abe: I know that. I'm grateful for it. That's exactly why I don't want to use you. Remember yesterday I said the last thing I needed is for you to go off half-cocked? Too many people could wind up in the cemetery.

John: Now you're really starting to insult me. When have I ever gone off half-cocked? You know that's not my style.

Abe: Does the name Alex North ring a bell? When Bo asked you to help him on this case, you remember what you said to him?

John: What'd I say?

Abe: You said that you would help him if this wasn't a personal vendetta for him -- Bo. It had to be about putting a bad guy away, nothing more.

John: And I still feel that way.

Abe: You just admitted that this has become personal for you.

John: It makes me more motivated. Come on, I'm not gonna go off and do anything crazy.

Abe: It sounded to me like you were out for blood.

John: Well, you're wrong.

Abe: You're too close to this case, John. I don't want you involved. I'm sorry.

Hope: I don't know what to say. You're starting to remember. That's still something to be happy about.

Steve: It would be if --

Hope: If what?

Steve: Hope, it's worse than not having any memory at all. It's like my past is gone for good. It's dead. Kayla -- she knows things aren't right between us.

Hope: She does?

Steve: Yeah. She tried to give me an out. She told me to walk away if that's what I wanted.

Hope: Then why didn't you take it?

Steve: Because Stephanie came in here all happy and gushing about us being a family again.

Hope: All right, wait a second. Let me just try to understand this. Everything that you said to Kayla that gave her the will to live -- that was all a lie?

Steve: Most of it, but not all of it. Look, I had a couple of memories, Hope. That's all. And yeah, I do sense that inside, you know, that Kayla is special to me.

Hope: Okay. Okay. You see? You do have feelings for her.

Steve: I wish I knew what the hell was wrong with me. I woke up today thinking about Billie. I know.

Hope: You can't help how you feel. I understand that.

Steve: But after everything that's happened, what Kayla and I went through these past couple of days -- I would have died for her. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if I live or die.

Hope: Steve... Steve... that is not true.

Steve: Hope, I do feel connected to Kayla in a way I didn't before. I mean, we went through the valley of the shadow together. But for some reason I can't explain, I can't get this Billie woman out of my head.

Bo: Okay, I'll talk to Abe and Roman.

Marlena: Thank you.

Bo: But I got to warn you, the department's a bit shorthanded right now. They may feel they need John.

Marlena: Are you still on suspension?

Bo: I'll talk to them, see if they can give me my badge back, and then maybe they won't feel so shorthanded.

Marlena: I'd appreciate whatever you could do.

Bo: Okay.

Marlena: Well, I've taken enough of your time. Thank you.

Bo: Not a problem.

Marlena: Oh. [Laughs]

Bo: Take care of that ankle of yours, okay?

Marlena: What's that?

Bo: That there is my suitcase. I'm moving back in.

Marlena: Oh! Oh! [Chuckling] I'm so glad you're home.

Bo: Me too. Me too.

Marlena: Oh, my goodness.

Bo: Careful there.

Marlena: Thank you. And please, give Hope my best.

Bo: Yes, I will.

Marlena: Bye.

Bo: Bye.

Steve: I really upset you, didn't I?

Hope: I'm just really worried about Kayla right now. It's her I'm thinking about. When she finds out that you were pretending to remember all of those feelings for her, how do you expect her to react?

Steve: Exactly. Hope, listen, I did, I said whatever I thought that Kayla wanted and needed to hear so that she'd live. And she's alive, right? That's what's important.

Hope: You did the right thing.

Steve: I hope so. But now I don't know how I can tell them the truth.

Hope: What about Billie? She thinks you're going back to Kayla.

Steve: Yeah. Yeah. Billie overheard me telling Kayla I remembered our past. When she was here, I tried to explain, and Stephanie showed up. And I thought bo was gonna tell her to try to come here and...

Hope: I know. Bo told me. She wouldn't come.

Steve: Hope, could you do me just one more favor?

Hope: It depends. What is it?

Steve: Just tell Billie the truth.

[Footsteps approach]

Stephanie: All right. I just talked to the whole family and told them the good news that mom is doing better and that you're coming home with us, Dad. Life doesn't get any better than this, does it, Aunt Hope?

Hope: Listen, I have a few things I need to take care of, so are you gonna stick around here?

Stephanie: Yeah. I'll find my way home.

Hope: All right.

Stephanie: Don't worry about me.

Hope: I'll be in touch with you, Steve. Take care of Kayla.

Steve: Okay.

John: You know, you're not gonna lock me out of this, Abraham. If I have to, I'll just keep poking around on my own.

Abe: You know, that is a bad idea, John.

Roman: John, Abe explained to you why he turned you down.

John: Yeah, and it's all B.S. Look, if you think I'm gonna kick back on my terrace and wait for Marlena and me to get bumped off, it's not gonna happen. So, the way I see it, you got two choices here. You either deal me in or I just keep working on the outside.

Tek: I think I found something.

John: What you got, Abraham? Is that about the case?

Tek: I was going through E.J. Wells' bank statement, and I found this -- those letters -- S.D.B.

Roman: Safe-deposit box.

Abe: We figured he had one. We just didn't know where.

Tek: Now we do.

Roman: I can't wait to see what he's got stashed in that.

John: A good chance it'll not only tell us who he is and who he's working for, but why the hell he wants to destroy our lives.

Belle: You want to tell me what's really going on?

Kate: What I'm implying is I think maybe you know a little bit more about Philip's whereabouts than you're letting on.

John: By the time we get done with E.J. Wells, he's gonna wish he were dead.

E.J.: I don't think I'm ready to leave, okay?

Sami: Please stop!

Lucas: Yo! Get your damn hands off of her.
