Mimi: [Sighs] Mom, thanks for coming.
Bonnie: You said it was an emergency. What's up?
Mimi: Well, just when I thought my life couldn't get any worse, my car died.
Bonnie: That's the emergency? Mimi, I don't know anything about cars. I was right in the middle of a Cary Grant movie.
Mimi: Oh, well, excuse me, but I need a ride and a new transmission. Do you know how much that is gonna cost me?
Bonnie: Get Shawn to fix it. He's a mechanic.
Mimi: Be serious. He's not even talking to me and these -- these are the tips that I made today. I thought I would make a ton more money working at a place like this.
Bonnie: Well, it's no wonder with that frumpy uniform. Show a little more cleavage.
Mimi: Spare me the fashion advice. You need to loan me $500.
Bonnie: I'm sorry, baby. You know I'd do anything for you I could, but I can't give you a cent.
Maggie: Oh, I'm so glad to see you, Hope. Are you here alone?
Hope: Hmm. Guess you didn't hear about the drama earlier.
Maggie: Unh-unh. What happened?
Hope: Well, let's see. First of all, Bo let Shawn take the boat out. Maggie, he hasn't sailed in years. He got caught in the middle of the storm, and the Coast Guard had to rescue him.
Maggie: Is he all right?
Hope: Yes, thank God, but he could have been killed. I could have lost another -- then, as you know, there was a fight here. Bo started the fight with Patrick.
Hope: Yeah, again. Well, this time, Patrick finally had enough, and he pressed charges. Bo was arrested.
Maggie: Oh, dear. Oh my. Need a hug.
Hope: I need a chocolate soufflé.
Abby: What's wrong? Are you still worried about your parents?
Stephanie: No, actually, things are a little bit better there. My dad finally remembered me when I was a baby.
Abby: I heard. That's great.
Stephanie: Now I just wish he remembered my mom, too.
Abby: I'm sure he will.
Stephanie: Yeah, well, let's keep our fingers crossed so we can finally be a family.
Abby: I went through this, too, you know. I finally figured that you can't force your parents to get back together. If it's meant to happen, it'll happen.
Stephanie: Well, I know it's meant to happen for my parents.
Abby: So what's really bothering you?
Stephanie: Okay, it's Max. I don't know. Before the accident, I guess -- I thought he kind of liked me, you know?
Abby: Look, he does.
Stephanie: Then why hasn't he come to visit me? I think maybe he's decided that he's just not interested in me anymore.
Max: Thanks for making sure there was nothing else left to salvage of my engine, Shawn.
Shawn D.: It was already a wreck. Now that my grandfather pulled the plug on my engine, it's not like you're ever gonna have her running the way she was meant to anyways.
Max: That didn't mean you had to drive the car into Victor's house to prove your point. Why is it that all my teammates think that they can just drive my car into walls?
Shawn D.: Philip's not on your team anymore. He's probably never coming back to Salem.
Max: I bet that'll make you happy. Makes it easier for you and Belle to get together, raise your daughter.
Shawn D.: There's a little problem with that. Belle hates my guts.
Max: Since when?
Shawn D.: Since I was a jerk to her.
Max: Well, it must run in the family 'cause I acted like a jerk, too.
Shawn D.: What did you do?
Max: I've been leading Stephanie on, Shawn, and it's got to stop.
Marlena: Ooh, baby. No, let's not stop yet.
John: We got to talk.
Marlena: We can always talk later.
John: I want to make an honest woman out of you. You know that our marriage was null and void.
Marlena: No, I never felt that way at all.
John: Neither did I, but I would like to correct that officially.
Marlena: Oh, no. Are you going to propose to me? Ooh! [Sniffles]
[Knock on door]
Sami: I have to talk to you.
Marlena: What are you doing here?
Sami: I have to talk to you. It's an emergency.
John: I'll leave you two alone.
Marlena: Don't forget where we were, okay?
John: Not a chance. [Cellphone rings] I'll, um -- I'll take it outside..
Marlena: All right, Sami. Come on, what is going on?
Sami: Mom, my life is over.
Marlena: Please don't be so melodramatic.
Sami: It's true. This time everybody hates me. And, Mom, you're gonna hate me, too.
Marlena: All right. Tell me what you've done.
John: Whoa, hey, slow down, Bo.
Bo: Yeah, I've been suspended from the force. I lost my badge and my damn gun.
John: Well, look, I'm sorry to hear that, but if this has anything to do with Patrick Lockhart --
Bo: He's up to something. He's working for someone and I need your help to prove it.
E.J.: We can't be seen together like this, and you know that.
Patrick: Well, we have a problem.
E.J.: Yeah, Bo Brady. I hear he's in hot pursuit.
Patrick: That's correct, and that's why I want out of this operation, E.J.
E.J.: What the hell are you afraid of, Patrick? Brady's a fool.
Patrick: You don't know him like I do.
E.J.: Patrick, relax, okay? Brady's clueless. So is everybody else. Nobody is ever gonna need to find out about this, okay?
Patrick: E.J. Wells -- the infamous gloved hand.
E.J.: And Patrick Lockhart -- my trusted colleague. Now, you follow my orders, and nobody need ever know that we're the ones terrorizing the, uh, good people of Salem.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Bo: Hey, thanks for stopping by.
John: All right, tell me what happened.
Bo: [Sighs] I slapped Lockhart around a little bit. He got his feelings hurt and pressed charges, so I've been ordered to keep my distance.
John: That kind of sounds like a good idea to me.
Bo: Oh, come on. Don't tell me you're on his side, too.
John: Bo, I know you hate Lockhart. You got good reason. He got your wife pregnant. She's gonna have his kid. What if the man is innocent? Have you even considered that?
Bo: Oh, man.
Patrick: You said we were going to scare some people, but killing a cop?
E.J.: Officer Michaels got in the way, Patrick. You understand. She had to be eliminated.
Patrick: Yeah, well, that's more than I bargained for.
E.J.: I didn't hear you complaining when it gave us the opportunity to set a trap for Detective Brady.
Patrick: You had already killed Eve Michaels.
E.J.: Come on, admit it. You enjoyed it. Planting the incriminating evidence in your own locker? Facing it so Jack and Jennifer would tell Bo.
Patrick: Yes, and then he arrested me like we thought he would.
E.J.: Then the case blows up in his face, and now he's under investigation.
Patrick: Bo Brady is out of his mind. He will never give up.
E.J.: Patrick, you need to watch it, dear boy. You're gonna get yourself an ulcer.
Patrick: Yeah, you're damn right. Obviously, killing Eve Michaels wasn't enough for you. And I can see that the explosion at the track wasn't, either. It's a wonder that Max Brady and Stephanie Johnson survived.
E.J.: They're Brady’s. I'm gonna make life a living hell for every last member of that family.
Patrick: What about my family? My sister was hurt in all of this, too.
E.J.: What do you mean?
Patrick: You know what I mean. The police are convinced that whoever is threatening the Brady’s is behind the embryo switch at the hospital.
E.J.: Well, you know the Salem Police Department. They never get anything right.
Patrick: Yeah, well, I've had enough.
E.J.: No, my friend. You and my other employees are in this with me. It carries with it an obligation. Now, you and I had an agreement, and you are going to honor that.
Patrick: And if I don't?
E.J.: Don't try me.
Patrick: Are you threatening me, E.J.?
Sami: So I blackmailed Lexie, and she told Carrie that Carrie and Austin couldn't have healthy children together. Look, I know I shouldn't have done it.
Marlena: You shouldn't have done it? How could you do it? [Exhales deeply] Do you have any idea how concerned Carrie was about never hurting you? That's why she made every decision that she made, and then you went ahead and pursued Austin. And then decided that, in the end, you didn't want him, after all. Sami...do you have a conscience?
Sami: What about Lexie? She's the one who came up with the stupid lie.
Marlena: Lexie isn't my daughter. You are. Sami, you are playing with people's lives.
Sami: Look, Mom, I know it was a rotten thing to do, and I'm sorry. Come on, Mom. Look at me.
Marlena: I can't, Sami. I can't look at you.
Sami: I wish I could take it back, but I can’t. Austin and Carrie hate me. Mom, Lucas and Will -- they moved out. You know how much I love him. I cannot lose my son again. Please, Mom, you have to help me.
Marlena: Sami, I'm heartsick. I don't know what to say to you.
Sami: Say you still love me. Say that you're not gonna give up on me, too.
Mimi: You're not gonna loan me the money?
Bonnie: Your mama's broke, baby. Business at Alice's has been really bad..
Mimi: Are you kidding me? That place is packed every night. What have you been spending your money on?
Bonnie: That's none of your business. You want your car fixed, why don't you ask Max? I bet he'd do it for nothing.
Mimi: That's so typical -- you expecting everything for. What is going on with you?
Bonnie: Well, I'm sorry you don't have a rich mama who can bail you out. I'm doing the best I can. I'm gonna get a beer.
Mimi: Sure you can afford it?
Maggie: Here you go. Chamomile tea to relax you.
Hope: Thank you.
Maggie: Be careful. It's very hot.
Hope: I'll wait a couple seconds.
Maggie: Now, do you want to talk?
Hope: Oh, Maggie. This baby that I'm carrying -- it wasn't planned, but it's still a miracle.
Maggie: Of course it is.
Hope: It's driving Bo absolutely insane that it isn't his. He has so much anger inside, and it's all directed at Patrick. I'm really terrified that something bad could happen.
Maggie: Things are gonna work out. They'll get better.
Hope: When's that gonna happen?
Maggie: I don't know. Honey, listen, I'm sorry. I have to make a phone call. One of our chefs left early, and I want to make sure that he's coming in tomorrow.
Hope: Do you need some help? I don't cook, but I can wash dishes.
Maggie: No. Listen, you relax. Sit down, drink your tea. I'll be back in a little bit.
Mimi: Hi, Hope.
Hope: Mimi, hi. I didn't know that you worked here.
Mimi: Oh, yeah. How's Shawn?
Hope: He's good. He's fine. Thanks to you, that is. Mimi, I can't tell you how grateful I am that you called to tell me that he was out on the boat. If you hadn't -- you may have saved his life.
Mimi: I'm just glad he's okay.
Hope: So, I guess you haven't heard from him, huh? So, how are you doing? Okay?
Mimi: Well, I'm not on the streets. Though, I guess Shawn might be, thanks to Willow. Although, that'd be home to her.
Hope: I'm not following. I'm sorry. What are you talking about?
Mimi: Oh, I never finished telling you. Your son's new girlfriend is a hooker.
Shawn D.: You're serious? You want out?
Max: Before it gets any worse. I mean, I think I just got involved with Stephanie because she was just, well, there. And because I knew Chelsea would probably get the hint if she saw us together.
Shawn D.: So, you kind of used her.
Max: Yeah, just go ahead and say it. I suck. I suck.
Shawn D.: Hey, I am the last person to judge anyone.
Max: Yeah, Brady’s. Anyhoo, look...I don't know how I'm gonna break it to her, especially because she's in the hospital. That's the whole reason I've been dragging my feet to go see her anyway.
Shawn D.: You can't keep ignoring her. It's not like you promised her forever.
Max: You're right.
Shawn D.: You got to tell her. It's the only way.
Stephanie: I just don't understand why Max is avoiding me. Do you think he blamed me for the accident?
Abby: Look, I told you about that threatening note I found in the garage.. Max's car was sabotaged -- probably by the same person who's causing all the other trouble for the Brady’s.
Stephanie: Then why hasn't he come to see me?
Abby: Maybe he blames himself, which he shouldn’t. But it'll all work out. You'll see.
Patrick: Don't try and strong-arm me, E.J. I'm not afraid of you.
E.J.: Well, to keep you on board, I don't think violence will be necessary. I mean, you're obviously forgetting about Hope. It was quite a lot of money I gave you, wasn't it? To pay off her doctor. Getting a maternity test altered don't come cheap, does it? Now, let's just imagine for a moment, if you will, poor Hope's reaction when she finds out that you, of all people, have been deceiving her.
Patrick: You'd tell her, wouldn't you? Or have one of your lackeys do it for you.
E.J.: If you cross me, she finds out that, that's Bo's baby she's carrying, and you can kiss your little future with her goodbye.
Max: You're right, man. I got to talk to her. I can't keep putting this off.
Abby: Hey, I just saw Stephanie.
Shawn D.: How is she?
Abby: She's doing a lot better.
Max: I was about to go see her myself.
Abby: She'd like that. Here.
Max: What's this?
Abby: It's from the hospital gift shop. I figured you'd want to take her something.
Max: Oh, you are an angel, you know that?
Shawn D.: An assistant who anticipates our every need. That's our Abby.
Abby: I just know how busy you've been. And she's dying to see you, by the way.
Max: Perfect. Well, thank you for this. I'll see you both later.
Shawn D.: All right, man.
Abby: Stephanie is so lucky to have a guy like Max.
Shawn D.: Abby...
Abby: What? He's been really great to me, Shawn, and he treated Chelsea like a goddess when she treated him like crap. I've just never met a guy like Max in my life.
Shawn D.: Wait a second. Do you have a thing for Max?
Hope: You're telling me that my son is involved with a hooker? Come on.
Mimi: It's true. Before Shawn got her a job working here, she was working the streets.
Hope: Maggie hired her?
Mimi: My fellow waitress. And if you don't believe me, you can ask her because there she is now.
Hope: Excuse me. Maggie, excuse me. What -- what is going on?
Marlena: I thought that you and Carrie were getting along better. What you did to her was monstrous.
Sami: Look, it was selfish. I know it was.
Marlena: It goes way past "selfish," Sami. Do you care about anybody but yourself?
Sami: Look who's talking.
Marlena: Excuse me?
Sami: I care about a lot of people, and you know it, Mom. I love my family. I love my brother, I love Belle, I love my son more than anything. What about Carrie? She's gonna go confront Lexie, ruin her chance of reuniting with Uncle Abe, just like she did for me and Lucas.
Marlena: She didn't do that to you, Sami. You did that to yourself.
Sami: Okay, you're right. But you know she's gonna go tell dad and get him on her side, because he will believe her 'cause she's his favorite and I am the troublemaker, just like I always have been, and now I am in trouble again. Mom, please. I cannot lose dad. I'll die if I lose him.
Marlena: I understand. I know what you want me to do.
Sami: What are you talking about?
Marlena: You want me to go to your father on your behalf so he will forgive you.
Sami: Mom, will you talk to him? If you talk to him, you could maybe get him to --
Marlena: No, I won't, Sami. If I made the rounds of every person you've ever hurt to beg for their forgiveness, Sami, it would take me a lifetime.
Sami: What about you? It'd be enough if you would forgive me.
Marlena: I can’t.
Marlena: Sami, it's the last straw. You got yourself into this mess and you have to get yourself out of it.
Sami: Because you can't be bothered? Because you'd rather go off and marry John again?
Bo: Everybody keeps forgetting that Lockhart worked for the friggin' DiMeras.
John: Mm-hmm. He turned on them, didn't he? Come on, Bo. He helped save half of Salem when Tony tried to blow us up on that damn island. And if it weren't for Lockhart here, Alex North might have killed me and Doc.
Bo: That file proves that he killed Eve Michaels. He's responsible for that explosion at the -- you know what? Bottom line -- if I'm wrong, I made a mistake. If I am right, more people get hurt, including my wife. So, come on. You know this guy. He trusts you. You can get information out of him that I can’t.
Patrick: You think you've got me in the corner, don't you?
E.J.: I know I do. So, I'm going to assume that our agreement remains in force.
Patrick: What do you want me to do?
E.J.: A mission similar to those you've carried out so ably up until now.. Our relationship will continue until I've achieved my goals.
Patrick: What are those goals?
E.J.: I rather think the less you know, the better.
Patrick: Well, I want to know when this is going to end. I want a deadline.
E.J.: There is no deadline. This will continue until... until I'm ready -- ready to reveal my true identity.
Mimi: A 5-course dinner for two, extra desserts, imported champagne? So much for being broke, Mom. What are you up to now?
Bonnie: Uh, no. If anyone asks, don't mention that we had dinner together, okay? [Giggles] Yeah, it was. It really was. It's too bad I had to drink all that fancy champagne all by myself, but then again, you're preggers, Lauren, so got to take care of yourself, right? Glad to hear it. You know, with what I'm paying you, you could buy all the bubbly you want once the baby's here. Hales deeply yeah, I'm anxious, too. I want my grandbaby, even if Mimi doesn’t.
Hope: Would you excuse us for a second, please?
Maggie: It's okay. What is it?
Hope: Is it true that, that girl is a hooker?
Maggie: I -- I don't feel comfortable talking about that.
Hope: That is a confirmation if I’ve ever heard one. Why would you ever hire someone like that to work here, Maggie?
Maggie: Because your son asked me to.
Hope: Well, my son shouldn't be -- and doesn't belong -- with a girl like that.
Maggie: You need to talk to him.
Hope: Oh, believe me. I'm on my way right now.
Abby: No, I don't have a thing for Max. He's just my friend. And I thought he was your friend, too. What's up with that?
Shawn D.: He is.
Shawn D.: He's just somebody that I don't want my friends to get involved with.
Abby: Look, it's not like I'm interested in him that way. I just think he's hot. But don't tell him I said that.
Shawn D.: I won’t.
Abby: Besides, he's got Stephanie now, and I hope you're wrong about him, because she's really into Max.
Shawn D.: Abby, you are a very special person. You just need to keep your eyes open when you're around Max, and Stephanie needs to do the same.
Max: [Clears throat] Hey. Are you, uh, up to see a visitor?
Stephanie: Definitely. Come in. [Exhales deeply] I was wondering if you were ever gonna come and see me.
Max: Well, you had your family here, and I heard you and your dad are getting closer, so I didn't want to get in the way.
Stephanie: You would never be in the way. I missed you. I've been thinking about you a lot.
Max: I'm glad you're doing okay. I'm sorry about the crash.
Stephanie: It's not your fault. Mine either. We're just lucky to be alive.
Max: I just feel bad 'cause you got the worst of it. [Door opens]
Nurse: Oh, Miss Johnson. I see you have a visitor. This won't take very long. Would you mind waiting outside?
Max: Yeah, that's cool. Here. I almost forgot. This is for you.
Nurse: Okay. Let me see here. Here. [Chuckles] Well, Miss Johnson, I'd say that young man is rather fond of you.
Marlena: Well, you've finally shown your true colors, Sami. You don't want me to marry John, even though you know how much I love him. You don't care about anybody else's feelings, do you? It's all about you.
Sami: You know that I have never liked John.
Marlena: You have liked John. You have loved John, but now you want to play the little girl who wants her mommy and daddy to get back together. It's not gonna happen, so get over it! Your back in the same old behavioral patterns. You are trampling on people, and the person that gets hurt the most is you.
Sami: Well, Mom, you talking as a professional or as my mother?
Marlena: As a professional, as a psychiatrist, I'm worried about your self-destructive patterns. As a —- as your mother... [Voice breaking] I love you and I pray for you and I weep for you. But if you think you can manipulate me one more time, you had better think again.
Bo: I'm telling you. He's up to something. And you can't blame me if part of the reason I'm so determined to prove it is that I love my wife, and I don't want her to get hurt. You felt the same way about Marlena when she was involved with North.
John: Okay, you made your point.
Bo: So, where does that leave us?
John: I'll work with you to see what we can come up with. If, as you say, Lockhart's got blood on his hands, we'll find it.
Bo: Good. I appreciate it.
John: Won't be easy, but I know exactly where we can start.
Patrick: [Chuckles] You like to play games, don't you?
E.J.: I do when I know I'm going to win.
Patrick: Nobody wins every time, E.J., and when your luck runs out, I will not take the fall for you.
E.J.: Are you always this pessimistic?
Patrick: You're the one who called Brady a fool. You underestimate him.
E.J.: No, I don’t. Brady's unable to control his emotions. That's a weakness we're going to continue to exploit. Now, you take orders, do what I say, keep a low profile, and, by the way, that means no more of these face-to-face meetings, okay?
Patrick: Well, here's a little warning for you. If Brady gets wise to us, I will not hesitate to sell you out.
E.J.: If you do that, you're going to be making a serious mistake -- one that'll be your last.
Sami: As usual, when I need you the most --
Marlena: No, no.
Sami: I think I should finish.
Marlena: You shouldn’t. I've heard it all before. Let me see if I get it right. I'm a terrible mother. I abandoned you when you were small. You were starved for affection, and I don't sympathize enough with your issues. Am I going down the right road here? Sami, you cannot keep on blaming people for the terrible things that you do. I'm sorry that I wasn't here when you were younger, but you know what? John was here, and he was a wonderful father figure for you -- for all of you children. And nobody else has a problem with it. They think they had a wonderful childhood. So it isn't all about your feelings, Sami. It just isn’t. You say you want to be a better person. The only person that can change you is you -- not me, not anybody else.
Sami: I made a mistake coming here. I should have known better. Have a nice life with John, Mom. [Door slams]
E.J.: Sami, hey, I was just driving by. I saw your car. I wanted to see how your holding up.
Sami: Um, not well. There was another note, and Lucas read it before I was able to stop him.
E.J.: I was afraid that might happen.
Sami: Well, they know everything now, and they all have me at the mercy of my son.
E.J.: Sami, I'm so sorry.
Sami: E.J., I swear to God. When I find out who has been sending me these notes, I'm going to kill him.
[Monitor beeping steadily]
Stephanie: I love this. Where did you find him?
Max: Um, I, uh...
Stephanie: This was so sweet. "Be mine."
Max: Stephanie, I shouldn't have gotten you that.
Stephanie: Hey, I am not too old for stuffed animals, okay? This is adorable.
Max: No, Stephanie, I mean... I think you're a really terrific girl. We've been hanging out a lot together -- hanging out at the track and talking cars, getting to know each other. I've come to respect you as a competitor and as a friend.
Stephanie: What are you trying to say, Max?
Max: I'm glad you're feeling better, and now that you are, I have to be honest with you. Um... I think that it's time for both of us to wake up, I'm sorry. I, uh...
Stephanie: [Breathing rapidly] [Alarm beeping]
Max: Steph, Steph, Steph. Help me! Somebody help!
Nurse: She's hyperventilating. All right, let's get her back on oxygen. Stat.
Bonnie: Bye, sweetie. Mimi, about that call --
Mimi: I will never believe a word you say again. You're too broke to help your daughter fix her car, but you'll blow a fortune on steaks and high-priced champagne. You know what? Fine, Mom. I'll take the bus, hitchhike. Whatever. Like you care.
Bonnie: That was a business dinner. I was entertaining a banker to get a loan from him.
Mimi: Yeah, loan officers can't wait to give money to people with out-of-control spending habits. Cut the crap, Mom. That was not a banker. I know exactly who it was.
Maggie: Oh, yes, Willow.
Willow: Shawn's mother -- what did she say?
Maggie: Willow, for your own good, I think you should stay away from Shawn Brady.
Abby: Look, Shawn, I know --
Hope: Shawn, we need to talk alone. Abby, would you excuse us, sweetie?
Abby: Yeah, I have some stuff to do in the office.
Hope: Okay, thank you.
Shawn D.: What's wrong?
Hope: What are you thinking? What do you think you're doing sleeping with a hooker?
Nurse: She's breathing easier.
Doctor: It looked like a panic attack to me, although I have no idea what could have caused it. Young lady, I want you to keep that oxygen mask on. I want you to check on her frequently.
Doctor: We've got to keep you calm.
Nurse: I'll be back soon. Press your call button if you need anything, okay?
Max: I'm so sorry if I upset you before. I'm here for you, Stephanie. Okay? I'm not going anywhere. Okay.
Shawn D.: Willow's had a hard life. I'm just trying to help her out.
Hope: By sleeping with her? How much you paying her?
Shawn D.: I can't believe you just said that.
Hope: Nothing's for free.
Shawn D.: Stop putting her down, okay? You don't even know her, and you're passing judgment on her. My life is messed up right now, and Willow makes me feel better. What is so terrible about that?
Hope: You want to date a woman who sells her body to other men? I can't stop you. You want to divorce your wife? Go ahead. You want to keep playing games with Belle, the woman you supposedly love? Hey, that's up to you, too. But there is one thing I will insist on, and that is that my son be a man. Your little girl needs a father, so you -- my son -- is going to step up to the plate and be one. And if you don't, if you can't get your act together, then that little girl -- she is gonna have a very, very sad, unhappy childhood. Is that fair?
Mimi: I know damn well who you've been wining and dining.
Bonnie: You do?
Mimi: Yeah. One of those geezers from the hospital -- a poor old soul you're trying to cheat out of his life savings.
Bonnie: Okay, you got me. Some new guy sweetie, and he's loaded, so I'm pretending that I'm loaded so I can win his trust and go in for the kill. I will find a way to get you the money to fix your car.
Mimi: I don't want your money anymore because you were too quick with that confession and too quick changing your mind.
Bonnie: Why are you always suspicious of me?
Mimi: Maybe because I have to be, and I am warning you, Mom. If you are lying to me this time, I swear, you are so out of my life.
E.J.: Do you know how much I worry about you?
Sami: Well, you're the only one who does. My family doesn't give a damn, including my mother.
E.J.: Well, then I guess it's up to me to lift your spirits.
Sami: Why are you so nice to me?
E.J.: Because you've been a very good friend to me, Samantha.
Sami: Well, thank you for being such a good friend to me. I know I can always count on you.
E.J.: Yes, you can. Come on. Let's get you home to Lucas and Will.
Sami: Lucas and Will -- they moved out. They don't want to have anything to do with me.
E.J.: Well, you know what? That's their loss, okay? Why don't you come back to my place? We can listen to a little bit of music. We can have a nice glass of wine. I promise you'll feel better. No pressure.
Sami: I'd like that.
E.J.: Come on. Let's go. Here we go. Look at that timing. See? Things are looking up already.
John: Hey, baby. Sami still there?
Marlena: No. I thought we could pick up where we left off.
John: That sounds good. Tell you what -- I'll be home soon.
Marlena: How soon?
John: I got a few loose ends to tie up here, and then I'm all yours.
Marlena: All right, well, then, I'll see you very soon. I love you.
John: I love you, too. Don't worry. I'm on the case. Patrick Lockhart. John Black here.
Patrick: What’s up, John?
John: Not a hell of a lot. Listen, I wanted to call and tell you I'm glad you were exonerated in the Eve Michaels case.
Patrick: Yeah, me too.
John: How about if I buy you a beer, thank you once again for all the help you gave me on Morgan Island, and just catch up on things.
Patrick: All right. But I can't do it tonight.
John: It's bad for me, too. Maybe tomorrow.
Patrick: Yeah, that'll work.
John: Tell you what. I'll call you in the morning. We'll figure out a place where we can hook up.
Patrick: All right, I'll talk to you then.
John: We're on.
Bo: Yeah. Hey, you're gonna find out I'm right. Then Lockhart and whoever he's working for -- they're going down.
Patrick: Why am I beginning to feel like this isn't just a friendly, little drink we're having here? It's starting to feel like one hell of an interrogation.
Mimi: I'm still your wife. I have a right to know who you're seeing.
Shawn D.: You have no rights with me, Mimi.
Marlena: Sami is still the same selfish, conniving little wench that she always was.
E.J.: I adore the bad girl in you.
