Days of Our Lives Transcript Friday 9/22/06 - Canada; Monday 9/25/06 - U.S.A.
Billie: This menu looks really good tonight, doesn't it?
Chelsea: Mm-hmm. Mom, I appreciate you coming out in public with the town pariah and everything, but why do I feel like you have something bad to tell me?
Billie: Well, it's not bad exactly.
Chelsea: I knew it.
Billie: No, wait, listen. You know that I went to your father --
Lexie: Billie, Chelsea, hi.
Billie: Lexie, hi! Oh, wow, you look beautiful.
Lexie: Look who's talking.
Billie: Thank you.
Lexie: I hope I'm not interrupting anything.
Lexie: I just wanted to say thanks.
Billie: You're welcome. What for? What are you talking about?
Lexie: For encouraging me not to give up on Abe. I just wanted you to know that we're trying to work things out.
Billie: Oh, that's great.
Lexie: Yeah. Yeah, actually we're meeting here for dinner. He called and said he's running a little late.
Billie: Oh! Oh, he is. Well, why don't you join us then?
Billie: Yes, I insist.
Billie: No getting out of it.
Lexie: Okay, thanks, Billie.
Billie: So, what happened?
Lexie: To tell the truth, I'm not sure. He just suddenly had a change of heart. So, we're taking things slowly, but really for the first time in a long time, I really feel like our marriage has a chance.
Bo: Hey, Abe.
Abe: Hey, Bo. I have some big news for you. You might want to sit down.
Abe: The lab ran the DNA report twice. Congratulations, grandpa.
Bo: What? Shawn is Claire's father. But this -- Shawn said that he and Belle didn't --
Abe: Yes, Shawn was shocked when he heard the news.
Bo: I bet.
Abe: Philip -- he went off the deep end. He tried to take Claire and run.. He was brought in for disorderly conduct.
Bo: Why didn't anyone call me?
Abe: I'm sorry. Shawn asked us not to.
Bo: All right. How's he doing?
Abe: Pretty shell-shocked right now.
Roman: So, I hear I'm a great-uncle again.
Bo: Yep, proof's right here.
Roman: Wait a minute. What are you doing still here? I thought you were gonna have dinner with Lexie.
Abe: What do you mean "why"? You know the plan.
Bo: Yeah, you wanted to draw Lexie out because she was a suspect in Eve's murder, but Lockhart's behind bars.
Roman: But Will is still missing, and Lexie's potentially tied to the threats against Sami.
Bo: Oh, come on. You don't think Lexie took Will, do you?
Abe: She's a DiMera. Somebody's making threats against the Brady’s, so she's a suspect.
Bo: Well, hopefully you'll be able to clear her.
Abe: I want to wrap up the loose ends of this investigation and move on. I don't want to spend any more time with Lexie than I have to.
Tek: I knew it. You were playing Lexie the whole time.
[Knock on door]
Sami: Austin. Austin, I --
E.J.: I just came by to bring a razor.
Sami: Come in.
E.J.: He didn't go to the store anyway, did he?
Sami: No, no, he wanted to be alone, so I think he went up to the roof.
E.J.: Oh, well, I don't think he's gonna be alone up there.
E.J.: I just saw Carrie heading up.
Lucas: Get your hands off my wife.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Tek: It was bad enough you put your own wife's name on the murder-suspect list, but our murderer has been caught. So, what's this all about?
Abe: Kramer, it's none of your damn business.
Tek: It is my business I care about her too.. Lexie's the one who was threatened. You should be protecting her. Instead you're cooking up reasons to turn her into a suspect.
Roman: We have several very solid reasons.
Tek: Like what? Like she's a DiMera and you don't trust her? That hardly makes her a criminal. Someday soon she's gonna realize just how lucky she is to have you out of her life for good.
Sami: But you didn't actually see Carrie and Austin together on the roof?
E.J.: No, I saw Carrie come out of her apartment. She looked pretty upset. She was just heading towards the stairwell. It doesn't matter. I'm sure Austin will be back down shortly. Here you go.
Sami: They better not be up the with each other.
E.J.: You seem upset by that idea.
Sami: Well, I'm upset because my son is missing. And they better be upset about that, too.
E.J.: What exactly do you mean by that?
Sami: After I broke up with Austin, I -- oh, my God, it sounds so crazy to say that. I’ve never broken up with anyone in my life. But it's true. I broke up with him. I was forced into it, but still -- I was too stubborn to listen to you from the beginning, E.J., but you were right. It was the best thing I could have done.
E.J.: I know it was very hard for you.
Sami: It's hard giving up your dreams. But Austin is in love with Carrie.. And he'll always love her more than me.
E.J.: Then he's a fool.
Sami: No, he's not. Who wouldn't love Carrie? Everybody else does. And anyway, I meant it I told him if he really loves her, he should go for it, that I think he should be with her.
E.J.: I know you did.
Sami: And if Carrie has mixed feelings, if she still wants to be with Austin, then Lucas deserves better than that. I don't know. Maybe it's selfish of me to think that I know what's best for Lucas and Carrie's marriage. I mean, they seem happy, and I know Lucas really loves her.
E.J.: No, I don't think your rightl, Samantha. In fact, I think you're the only person who's being honest with yourself and with everybody else.
Sami: Come on. Obviously Carrie really loves Lucas or she never would have married him, right?
E.J.: One would hope.
Sami: And they've had a really rough couple of months. Wasn't that long ago that Carrie found out that she wasn't really pregnant, that she can't have children. And I know Lucas really wanted that baby. He's a great dad. And will means everything to him. And he would be a wreck if he --
E.J.: If he lost Carrie. I know.
Sami: Exactly. E.J., you have no idea. When you're a parent...having something happen to your child is the worse thing that you can go through. And I just know exactly how Lucas feels right now. And I know that he needs Carrie to be there for him. And she had better not let him down.
Carrie: Oh, my God, Lucas. I'm so sorry.
Lucas: You're sorry? That's all you can say is you're sorry?
Carrie: This is the last thing that I wanted to happen.
Lucas: What -- what -- what -- you kissing Austin or me finding you?
Carrie: We didn't want you to find out this way.
Lucas: But you wanted me to find out eventually, didn't you? Didn't you? Don't even cry to me. Don't act like you're upset. You're supposed to be my wife. We're supposed to be on our honeymoon, all right? My son is missing! He's missing! You're supposed to help me find him, not go to Dune and have drinks with my brother. And I can't believe I felt guilty about it.
Austin: Listen, the only thing that we care about right now is Will coming home safely. That's why we didn't say anything.
Lucas: So you were trying to protect me. Do me a favor. Don't act like you care about me, all right? You've been after her the second I proposed to her. And you -- you always got to win, don't you? It's always about you.
Austin: What does winning have to do with anything here? You know exactly how we've always felt about each other, but you married her anyway. Yeah, this is wrong, but it's even more wrong the way we all keep pretending.
Lucas: What, pretending like you're my devoted wife when you're really in love with my brother -- that kind of pretending? Did you go after her right when Sami turned you down or when she wouldn't take you back? Is that it?
Austin: You know what, man? I take full responsibility.
Carrie: No, Austin, don’t. This has to come out.
Lucas: Don't stick up for each other. I blame you both. I gave you outs. I told you. I said if you didn't want to get married, you tell me. Why would you stay in something that you didn't want to be in? Why would you do that?
Carrie: I do love you, Lucas. It's just a different kind of love.
Lucas: You don't love me. You don't know the meaning of the word "love." I can't believe this. I never thought this would happen. I thought my upstanding brother and Sami's upstanding sister -- I didn't think I had anything to worry about. People called me crazy for being jealous. But thank God -- thank God for E.J. That's all I needed.
Lucas: Yeah, E.J. is the one who told me you both were up here.
Austin: Wait, he did what?
Lucas: You know what? It's not his fault. It's not about E.J. E.J. saw Carrie leave the apartment. She was upset. I'm her husband. He thought I might want to know about that so I could comfort her and be there for her. But obviously you don't need me 'cause you got your brother-in-law, right -- your brother-in-law to kiss you and make you feel better. You damn bastard!
Carrie: Lucas, don't, please! Don't do it!
Lucas: I'm gonna kill you!
Abe: I'm warning you, Kramer.
Roman: All right, look, let's not make this personal.
Bo: But it is personal. Me ohere with a vendetta against the Brady’s.
Roman: What do you mean "maybe"? Wasn't this your theory in the first place?
Tek: Yeah, it was, but now that Patrick's in jail for murdering Eve and stealing the evidence disc, a lot of the connections we made between the cases are starting to unravel.
Roman: But Will is still missing.
Tek: And you think Lexie took come on, Abe's just trying to look for any excuse he can --
Roman: Hey, listen. You're out of line. This wasn't even Abe's idea.
Tek: But he was more than happy to go along with it. I know what this is about. Lexie betrayed him, and now he's paying her back. He wants her to feel as humiliated and rejected as he did.
Abe: You are in no position to lecture anyone about morality, Detective Kramer. So, I'm warning you for the last time -- you cross over this line again and I will have your badge. Excuse me.
Sami: Austin should be back by now.
E.J.: He probably bumped into Lucas.
E.J.: Yeah, well, when I saw that Carrie was so upset, I didn't know that Austin was already up there, so I knocked on Lucas' door to let him know that his wife was in tears.
Sami: E.J., do you mind watching the phones for me? I want to go find out what's going on.
Lucas: Bring it on! I am not scared of you!
Carrie: Lucas, you don't want to fight your brother. Please!
Lucas: Why? Why? You think he's gonna stop me? You think he will kick my butt? You don't know anything. I can't believe I just went to bed with you.
Austin: Oh, Carrie.
Lucas: Were you fantasizing about him? Were you thinking about Austin? Is that what you were doing? At were you doing, giving me pity sex? Was that pity sex to make me feel better because my son's missing? I don't need to feel better. And you know what? I don't need that. I don't need you in my life, period. You went to bed with me and five minutes later you were ready to jump into bed with Austin? What the hell is wrong with you?
Sami: Oh, my God. Oh, my God, is that true?
Lucas: Yeah, yeah.
Sami: Carrie, how could you? Lucas loves you, and he does everything for you. God, you have him and everyone else fooled with your "little miss perfect" act, and the truth is you are nothing but a cheating whore.
Roman: Have a seat, Tek. I want to take you off the Eve Michaels murder case.
Tek: I've been on it from the beginning.
Roman: Yeah, well, we have a suspect in custody.
Tek: There's still a lot of loose ends.
Roman: Which is exactly why Abe's gonna wrap up his investigation. And if you say one more word to Lexie --
Tek: I got that loud and clear.
Roman: You know what, Tek? You're a damn good detective, but after what you pulled, you're damn lucky you still got a job.
Tek: I know where this is coming from.
R: Now, what the hell is that supposed to mean?
Tek: Your wife did you wrong, so now you feel justified in taking your anger out on me.
Roman: You son of a --
Tek: Just listen to me for a second. Lockhart asked me to help him prove his innocence.
Roman: Son of a bitch.
Tek: I got him to trust me, and that's the name of the game. That's why you can't take me off this case. You need me.
Billie: Well, I don't know about this, but the oysters were very good.
Lexie: Yeah, they were excellent.
Abe: Billie, Chelsea.
Lexie: Abe, hi.
Abe: Hi, I'm sorry I'm late.
Lexie: Oh, it's okay. Listen, thank you for keeping me company.
Billie: You're welcome. Enjoy your dinner.
Lexie: We will. Thanks.
Chelsea: Okay, so, what'd you want to talk to me about? I already know that Bo and Hope's divorce didn't go through.
Billie: I'm partly responsible for that.
Billie: Chelsea, something's been eating away at me for a very long time.. During the divorce hearing, I told Hope and everyone the truth..
Chelsea: Oh, my God, Mom, you didn’t.
Billie: Listen, Hope had a right to know. She thought that Bo was unfaithful to her during their marriage with me.
Chelsea: Well, he was.
Billie: That was after she asked him for a divorce.
Chelsea: I'm sorry. Is there a difference?
Billie: Chelsea, you and I are the reason that Bo and Hope broke up. We did despicable things to them.
Chelsea: Despicable things? Keeping your daughter out of prison -- that's despicable?
Billie: Chelsea, you didn't go to prison. You got a reduced sentence. Bo had a right to know the truth.
Chelsea: Okay, then, so, why didn't you tell him sooner then, Mom?
Billie: It's not what you're thinking, Chelsea. I have no desire to get back together with your father. It took me a long time to tell him because -- because I was afraid.
Chelsea: Afraid of what, him hating both of us? I guess you decided that it doesn't matter now, right, since he already despises me, even if this time I really could be going to jail.
Billie: Chelsea, listen to me. Part of my job as your mother is to set a good example. And I have done a very lousy job of that. I the fact that you had to grow up without me, just like I grew up without my mom.
Chelsea: I had a mom -- my adoptive mom. And she loved me, and I loved her. And you don't know anything about how I grew up.
Billie: I know, and I hate that.
Chelsea: I know that you want to think I grew up miserable and pining over the parents that I never knew, but it wasn't like that. I'm sorry. I had no clue that you existed. And it wasn't any different for you either, Mom. Yeah, you loved dad, but I was just a mistake. You didn't even want me.
Billie: Yes, I did.
Chelsea: No, and dad didn't want me either. And you -- you didn't even notice that you gave birth to a breathing, living child. You just let them take me away from you.
Billie: That hurts, Chelsea. That really hurts.
Chelsea: Look, I'm sorry, but it is the truth. Anyway, just don't get on your moral high horse with me, okay? Because if Bo and Hope really had as great of a marriage as everybody says, then it wouldn't have taken them months to talk to each other and figure out the truth. The only thing that Hope can't forgive my dad for is for having me. And that's never gonna change.
Abe: You know, I had a good time the other day.
Lexie: So did I.
Abe: You look great -- a little tired, but...
Lexie: Oh, yeah, well, Theo was up a couple of times last night. I hope he's not getting another infection, Abe. He's been at daycare a lot because I've had to work two double shifts this week, so...
Abe: I guess you haven't had much free time lately.
Abe: So, what else have you been up to?
Bo: Chelsea? Hey. Glad I found you.
Chelsea: Why? So you can arrest me?
Bo: No. I told you I didn't want to have anything to do with you unless you could prove to me you can be a decent person. I just wanted to tell you that I'm proud of you..
Sami: I worked so hard to be a good enough person for you, Austin, because I wanted to be worthy of you. After all this time, I don't know you at all, do I?
Austin: You're the one that told me to follow my heart.
Lucas: You did what?
Sami: I didn't tell you to sneak around behind your brother's back.
Austin: We were gonna tell you and Lucas, but then Will got kidnaped and we didn't want to upset you any more, so we decided to wait.
Sami: That's very nice of you not to say anything, but you couldn't keep your hands off each other for a couple of days while we're dealing with this? People say I have no self-control. My God, Carrie, how could you do this again? You and Lucas just got married. How could you do this to him?
Lucas: What I want to know is why did you even agree to marry me in the first place? My first marriage lasted what, two months because my mom bribed the bride? What's your excuse, huh? What happened? Don't tell me it had to do with the child. It had nothing to do with that kid because you accepted my proposal before you even thought you were pregnant. And I know I pushed. I know I pushed you, but you know what? You could have said no. You're a grown woman.
Carrie: I know.
Lucas: Can I please get a moment alone with Carrie? I'd like to talk to her. Can't you guys do that for me?
Sami: I don't think that, that's --
Lucas: I don't care.
Carrie: Austin, go, please. Go. It's okay. [Sighs] Lucas, I don't know what to say.
Lucas: There's nothing to say. You don't have to say anything, but I do want you out of my life. I keep thinking back to that night I was supposed to marry Sami and I thought she cheated on me with Brandon. But she didn’t. She was faithful to me, and I didn't believe her, so I lost her. And instead, I chose to believe in you. I told you I had trust issues. I told you the reason why I broke up with Sami is because I wanted something stable. I wanted something that was gonna last the rest of my life. But you know what? It turns out you're the one I can't trust.
Carrie: You're right.
Lucas: I'm what? I'm right? That's supposed to make me feel better -- I'm right? How can you say that? You know what? Don't even cry. Don't bother crying. Don't play the victim. You've been playing the damn victim ever since you got back to Salem. "Oh, Austin's gonna steal my company. He's gonna run it into the ground. I'm in love with two men at the same time." You are unbelievable. You left Austin for Mike and now you're leaving me for Austin.. What's next? I mean, how much longer is it gonna take before you do the same thing to him again? You know what? Don't even get upset. Don't cry to me. It serves my brother right. He deserves a woman like you. You both deserve each other.
E.J.: I'm really sorry, Samantha.
Sami: You're sorry?
E.J.: If I'd had any idea what was happening on the roof, I would never have gone and told Lucas.
Sami: Believe me, you did him a favor.
E.J.: Yeah, still, the guy has a lot on his plate. I mean, it's not like he needed me interfering.
Austin: Really? You know, it seems to me you're always interfering.
Austin: No, seriously, what is your problem, man? I'm done here. I'm done here. Where'd you come from? You're always at the wrong place at the wrong time?
E.J.: You think that this is purposeful on my part?
Austin: Like you said, it's none of your business, so why don't you get the hell out of here?
Sami: Hey, wait a second, Austin. This is my apartment. You don't get to tell him to go. You don't live here anymore. He's my friend -- more of a friend than you've been.
Austin: Then, Sami, I will leave.
Sami: Damn it, I don't want you to go. And I don't want you to fight. I just want to find my son.
E.J.: I'll go. It's fine. Look, I have a lot of work to get done at the station before we have the plea tomorrow. And as you said, the only thing that is important right now is getting Will back safe and sound.
Sami: Thank you, E.J., for everything.
E.J.: Good night.
Sami: Good night. I know you feel awful right now, but you don't get to take it out on E.J.
Austin: What is your deal with that guy?
Sami: Don't even start with me. I'm not the cheater here. You are. You brought this on yourself.
Austin: The cheater? I'm the cheater now?
Sami: Yes, you are, and I told you that Lucas was having problems and that he was thinking about drinking tonight. If he falls off the wagon, it is your fault.
Chelsea: I just figured that the hospital made some kind of mistake. Shawn really is Claire's father?
Bo: Yes, he is, no doubt about it.
Bo: Thank you.
Chelsea: Well, I guess that means that Hope's baby is gonna be younger than her grandbaby. That's kind of funny.
Bo: Ha Ha.
Chelsea: I told you that Shawn and Belle did the deed.
Bo: Yeah, obviously they did. I owe you an apology.
Chelsea: Well, I owe you about a million. I understand why you didn't believe me.
Billie: Or me.
Bo: Hope told me what happened in the court.
Billie: Bo, I can't apologize enough for what I did.
Bo: Thanks for finally coming forward.
Billie: I hope it wasn't too late.
Bo: Me too. Hope it's not too late for us either.
Chelsea: Do you know how glad I am to hear you say that, especially after I thought you hated me.
Bo: Hey, come on. I don't hate you.
Chelsea: I'm just really glad to have you back in my life.
Roman: All right, thanks. Good work.
Tek: What you got? [Cellphone rings]
Bo: Excuse me. Brady.
Roman: Bo, this is Roman. We got those phone records we subpoenaed on Patrick Lockhart.
Roman: He did call Sami's apartment the day Will disappeared and approximately the same time that Sami said she got that threatening phone call.
Bo: So he's obviously involved with the kidnaping.
Roman: It sure looks that way.
Bo: All right, but if he's in jail, where the hell's Will?
Roman: Well, that's what we got to find out.
Sami: Man, I wanted to believe that you were upset because of Will.
Austin: I was.
Sami: Don't use my son's kidnaping as an excuse for your adultery.
Austin: I didn't know that Carrie was gonna be up on the roof.
Sami: I'm glad you didn't plan it, but don't you think you could have controlled yourself a little bit, Austin, taken a cold shower or something? You certainly took plenty of showers when you were living with me, walking around here wrapped up in a towel when we were just platonic friends or business partners or whatever. Man, I just fooled myself. The truth is you figured if you couldn't get any from Carrie, you were just gonna take me 'cause I'm easy.
Austin: It's not like that. Look, I care a lot about you, Sami.
Sami: Yeah, right.
Austin: It's just what you and I have is just different from me and Carrie, all right? It meant a lot to me.
Sami: It meant a lot to me, too, because I looked up to you. I have always admired you. You were my conscience, you know? I would always think, "man, what would Austin think if I did this?" God, after all these years, I feel like I don't even know you anymore. One thing I've never done and would never do -- man, even I know that cheating hurts everybody. I guess I'm just grateful that you didn't cheat on me when we were together.
Austin: When you and I started dating, I thought that Carrie and I could never be together.
Sami: Man, just say it like it is. You just settled for me, Carrie's wicked half sister.
Austin: No, no, no, no. Don't you go there. You don't get to do this. You don't get to play "poor me." All right? That's not what's happening. There's been a lot of confusion that's been going on for the past few weeks. Oh, come on, Sami. You love Lucas. He loves you. You two belong together. There's been way too much togetherness between the four of us.
Sami: I certainly agree with that.
Austin: And I will never understand why she chose Lucas. I guess that's why I had a hard time accepting it. It took her a long time to realize that she made a big mistake.
Sami: Oh, 'cause Carrie Brady doesn't make mistakes.
Austin: We all make mistakes.
Sami: I know we do, believe me.
Austin: Well, they've been up there an awfully long time.
Sami: Oh, God, Austin, don't tell me you're gonna go check on them. Believe me, they don't need you in the middle of this.
Austin: Things can't get much worse now, can they?
Sami: Are you kidding me?
Austin: Well, now that you said that, I'll be right back.
Chelsea: I don't believe it. Dad forgave me. Mom, I'm not going to jail.
Billie: I know. You got a clean start again. And again, it's your choice as to what to do with it.
E.J.: Good evening, Billie.
Billie: Oh, hi, E.J. this is my daughter, Chelsea.
E.J.: Yes, actually we met at the press conference.
Chelsea: Oh, yes, one of my finest moments.
E.J.: Yes, and then again later at the pier.
Chelsea: I'm sorry. What?
E.J.: You had a lot on your mind. It was quite a forgettable conversation. How are things, anyway? Are they better?
Chelsea: Yeah, yeah, I feel great. I just found out that my charges got dropped against me, so that's cool.
E.J.: Wow, that's wonderful news. You must be x-static.
Lexie: I can't believe you ordered champagne.
Abe: Well, I just thought we should celebrate.
Lexie: Okay, so, what shall we toast to?
Abe: To our son.
Abe: Lex, what is it?
Lexie: I don't know. When I think of how close I came to losing custody of Theo -- you know, when I think of the future we had planned for him -- a future with both of us living in the same house, with him in the room where he's always slept with the friends he's always had... thank you for giving our family another chance.
Abe: Lex, um --
Lexie: I know. I know. I'm getting ahead of myself. Sorry. Sorry.
Abe: I just don't want you to get your hopes up. We have to get to know each other all over again.
Lexie: Right. Right. I know that I have a lot of work ahead of me, you know, getting you to trust me again. But there's one thing I know for sure -- I can always trust you.
Lexie: What's wrong?
Abe: Well, it feels like we're on a date. And I’m a little bit nervous.
Lexie: Oh, well, so am I. Okay, let's try a new toast, shall we? To the future, whatever it holds. May it be happy for all of us.
Billie: E.J., would you like to join us?
E.J.: Yes, I'd love to.
Billie: Oh, great.
E.J.: Actually I'm just waiting for a little bit of takeout. I've been burning the midnight oil at work.
Billie: Oh, listen, my brother is really grateful for all of your help in trying to find Will.
E.J.: Yeah. Look, I really hope this televised appeal tomorrow works.
Billie: So do I. Will you excuse me for just a minute, please?
E.J.: Yes, of course.
Billie: Thank you. I'll be right back.
E.J.: Penny dropped?
Chelsea: You were the one that helped me after I had the "X."
E.J.: I'm glad it was so memorable.
Chelsea: I'm sorry. I remember, like, nothing from that night.
E.J.: That night, young lady, is probably best forgotten for you.
E.J.: It could have been a lot worse, you know that? You're lucky that I found you.
Chelsea: : Thank uou. I'll take your word for that. Look, E.J., can you do me a favor, though? Things are finally really going well between me and my family, and I would die if they found out. Can you just please promise not to say anything?
E.J.: I'll do you a deal. I'll give you my word that I will say nothing to your mother, but you promise me that you will never touch that junk again.
Chelsea: Done. They said that, that stuff was supposed to make you feel good, but it just didn’t. That's the only thing that I remember from that night.
E.J.: I'm glad that's the way you feel about it. You know, I would hate to see anything happen to a lady of your potential.
Roman: Well, it looks like your theory's right. The person that killed Eve Michaels is the same person that's been making those threats against the Brady’s.
Bo: Yeah. Still got to put some more pressure on Lockhart.
Tek: I want in on this.
Roman: No, if he trusts you, you stay out of it.
Bo: Yeah, we can't play good cop/bad cop. He'd see right through it.
Roman: Yeah, we make one slipup, will is just liable not to make it home to us.
Bo: Hey, hey, don't say that. Will's coming home. I'll get the information we need out of Lockhart.
Carrie: This is exactly what I was afraid would happen.
Austin: You slept with him.
Carrie: I know. I'm sorry. This is all my fault.
Austin: I understand. It's my fault, too.
Carrie: How can we go downstairs? How can I ever face Sami or Lucas again? I know this isn't how we wanted him to find out, but it would have been awful no matter how it happened. Austin, how could something as wonderful as loving you cause so many people so much pain? How did everything get so messed up?
Lucas: I said go -- oh, hi, Sami, it's you. Great.
Sami: Lucas, I'm sorry. If you want me to go, I will. I just wanted to say I'm sorry.
Lucas: You don't have to be sorry. You don't have to apologize. You didn't do a damn thing wrong.
Sami: Look, Lucas, this has nothing to do with you, okay?
Sami: We spent so much of our time thinking that Austin and Carrie were these perfect people, and obviously they're not. You are so much better off without Carrie, and I'm better off without Austin.
Lucas: I never thought I'd hear you say that. But you know what? You're right. You're right. To hell with Austin. He’s with Carrie. I don't give a crap anymore.
Sami: Look, Lucas, you deserve to have a woman who really loves you -- you know, not just cares about you or has feelings for you, but someone who is passionately and completely in love with you and no one else.
Lucas: Really? I deserve that? If I haven't found her, I don't think I'm going to, all right? It's a little late for that.
Sami: Lucas, you can't say that. Come on, it's like every romance novel I read. It's the plot of almost all of them.
Lucas: What are you talking about? That's supposed to make me feel better now?
Sami: Well, it's tough being a romantic hero, right? Look, Lucas, con. Finding true love is difficult, but it's worth it in the end. I've believed that my entire life. I haven't given up on my soul mate, and you can't either.
Lucas: You know what, Sami? I hate to bust your bubble. I hate to discourage you, but I probably wouldn't recognize my damn soul mate if she was two feet in front of me.
Patrick: The truth is there is only one person who could have set me up to take the fall for all of this, and that's Bo.
Bo: Is Lockhart's gun the murder weapon?
Roman: See for yourself.
Austin: You're acting like you're the only one to blame here.
Carrie: Because I married a man I didn't love.
Sami: We're gonna do whatever it takes to get our son back, so deal with it.
