Jennifer: Oh, Jack, all this time -- all this time you were gone, I missed you so much. I missed being close like this.

Jack: When things are their worst... I used to think about this -- being with you. And I did think about the cave and making love with you for the first time. I did. And I thought about Christmastime, too.

Jennifer: [Laughs]

Jack: I thought about Santa Claus and how he ... he couldn't keep his paws off Mrs. Claus.

Jennifer: [Laughs] And Mrs. Claus just wanted you to finish wrapping the presents.

Jack: I wanted to wrap, all night I just wanted to wrap my arms around you as tight as I could, as tight as two people could ever be, as close as we could ever be.

Jennifer: Jack, listen to me. I need you -- I need you t never be away from me again, do you hear me?

Jack: Well... we're here in a cave in the middle of nowhere with no help in sight. I think you're gonna get your wish.

Jennifer: No, I'm serious. I mean it. Being with you -- being with you right here is perfect.

Jack: Perfect?

Jennifer: Yeah, and I don't ever, ever want to leave your side. And I don't want you to ever leave my side, do you hear me?

Shawn D.: [Sighs] Yeah, hi, this is Shawn Brady. My father had my DNA sample sent to the lab. I was just wondering if the results are back yet. Oh, okay. How long is it gonna take? Okay, well, just please call me as soon as the results are in. No, no, tell him I already hung up.

Bo: Hey, Shawn, I'm glad I caught you.

Shawn D.: Hi, Dad. What do you want from me?

Bo: I just wanted to fill you in on a situation that went down here. We made an arrest in the Eve Michaels case.

Shawn D.: Okay.

Bo: Well, it affects you guys, especially Mimi.

Shawn D.: What does a cop's murder have to do with my wife?

Bo: When she finds out who it is, it's gonna hit her pretty hard.

Bonnie: Ha.

Mimi: Mom, let go of me. I got here as fast as I could.

Bonnie: Are you ready to let go of your marriage, huh? Answer me that, miss smarty-pants.

Mimi: Of course not, but what can I do?

Bonnie: I found the lab where the cops are testing Shawn's DNA sample.

Mimi: Here -- they do it here?

Bonnie: Finally -- finally we caught a break. I knew all this candy striping would eventually pay off. I thought it would help me land a man, but it turns out it's gonna help you keep yours. We got to hurry. If we don't get to the lab before they test Shawn's DNA, he is gonna find out that he's Claire's daddy. And then it's bye-bye, wife, hello, baby.

Mimi: Mother, I told you that I --

Bonnie: I'm trying to save your marriage.

Mimi: By ruining my life?

Bonnie: How did I give birth to such a thick head?

Mimi: Oh, I wonder who I got it from.

Bonnie: Wait. You know what? I am not letting you give up. If Shawn finds out that his DNA matches Claire's and the report that Chelsea left in his room is legit, what are you gonna do, huh -- throw yourself off the Penthouse Grill roof? No. We have invested way too much time in this relationship.

Mimi: We?

Bonnie: Damn straight "we." I have been behind you since day one of project Shawn. I was the one who told you he was your destiny before you even had a clue. And what did you do, huh? You argued with me. I protected you from yourself every time you wanted to spill the truth about Shawn being Claire's real daddy. You think you'd still be married to Shawn if you hadn't taken my advice and kept your lips zipped? No way, Jose. You'd be out there trying to keep yourself from drowning in the dating pool, fighting off all those bimbo barracudas.

Mimi: Thank you, Mother, for your positive vision of my life. You have so much confidence in me. According to you, if I lose Shawn I jump to my death or drown. But either way, my life ends. That's very enlightened of you.

Bonnie: Oh, please, don't give me any of that women's lib double-talk. A woman needs a man. It's right there in the bible, if you ever took the time to read it. And you, missy, need Shawn.

Mimi: Well, maybe he needs me. Did you ever think of that?

Bonnie: Oh, honey, do you really want to force Shawn to choose between you and his children? I'm sorry, baby, but you'd lose. Now, we got work to do, so let's go. Come in. Excuse me.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.

Shawn D.: Do you have solid proof that Patrick is the one who murdered Eve? You're not exactly objective about the guy.

Bo: We got a tip, got a search warrant, and found very incriminating evidence at Patrick Lockhart's place.

Shawn D.: How's mom taking it?

Bo: If you're worried about her safety, don't be. She's right here with me.

Shawn D.: Well, I guess you got everything you wanted, Dad. The divorce didn't go through. Patrick's behind bars.

Bo: Shawn, this is not a happy situation for anybody involved.

Shawn D.: Yeah, if you say so. Listen, I got to find Mimi. She's gonna take this news really hard. I'll talk to you later.

Mimi: I'm not doing this.

Bonnie: Fine, you don't have to, all right? It'd be easier if you helped me, but never mind. I'll do it myself.

Mimi: Oh, like that changes anything. It's still a lie.

Bonnie: How could it be a lie if you don't even know what I'm gonna do?

Mimi: Ever heard of a lie of omission? Every time I had the chance to tell Shawn the truth and then didn't, it was the same thing as lying to his face.

Bonnie: You know what, sweetheart? Sweetheart, you think too much. You never should have taken that philosophy course.

Mimi: I just want to do the right thing for once in my life.

Bonnie: Whether something is right or wrong depends on where you're sitting. Now, where you've been sitting is next to Shawn Brady, wearing his wedding ring, trying to give him the one thing he wants in this world -- a kid.

Mimi: But I couldn’t. And now I'll never get the chance.

Bonnie: But you will if you just shut your pie hole and let Ma Barker do her job.

Mimi: Who the hell is Ma Barker?

Bonnie: A mother who'd do anything for her kids, including kill for them -- my kind of woman.

Mimi: Okay, well, I don't want you to kill for me. I just want all of this to stop. I’m tired of feeling guilty. It's like every minute I want to explode.

Bonnie: Baby -- baby -- baby, you're not gonna explode. You're gonna do what I'm telling you and make nice with Mr. Lab Technician while I sneak into the lab and save your marriage.

Jack: [Inhales and exhales deeply]

Jennifer: Jack, stop it.

Jack: [Laughs] This is good. This is as good as it gets...

Jennifer: For me, that's for sure.

Jack: Are you sure? What about your other husband?

Jennifer: Jack...

Jack: I'm sorry. Jennifer, I can't just act like you didn't exchange vows with Frankie. You did. You went through the whole thing. So, now we've had this little interlude away from reality, but we're gonna go back. In a day or two, we're gonna be back home and I'll just be that guy who broke your heart. I may still die. I don't know. And Frankie -- he'll be dying, too. We'll both be dying for the answer. Jennifer, what's gonna happen now?

Jennifer: Jack, I feel so guilty. Frankie is the sweetest, most thoughtful man I've ever known.

Jack: Of course, he is. He's perfect. He's practically Vern in every way. That's why I thought he'd be perfect for the two of you.

Jennifer: Jack, will you stop that? Nobody's perfect. But I know that you are perfect for me. I know that you are my one and only true love, Jack.

Jack: Well, it's a good thing you've always been romantically challenged.

Jennifer: Do you know how long it's been since I have felt like myself, Jack? So, thank you for tonight 'cause I really, really feel like myself again.

Jack: You're welcome.

Hope: Sounded like Shawn believed you about Patrick being Eve's killer.

Bo: Anyone's gonna believe me once they see this evidence. I mean, this is forensics' report. Go ahead. Read it. Let me read it for you. "The only prints found on this besides Eve's are Patrick Lockhart's" -- right there.

Hope: That doesn't make him a murderer. The only thing it proves is his hands were on the disc at some point.

Bo: Yeah, at some point after it was stolen from the evidence room. Hope, we've had information for days linking eve's murder to this case. The pieces are fitting together here -- the footprints, the murder weapon. The friggin' guy's guilty.

Hope: Well, if you don't mind, I will wait for ballistics to come up with your final report before passing judgment on him.

Bo: Yeah, well, you've always been loyal. Actually, that's one of my favorite qualities about you. Bottom line, Hope, my fingerprints are not on this. You still believe I stole it to keep Chelsea out of jail?

Bonnie: Psst! [Stomping]

Mimi: [Southern accent] Hiya, honey.

Nikita: [Russian accent] Hello. May I help you?

Mimi: I sure hope so. See, I'm just fascinated by the job you have.

Nikita: No.

Mimi: Oh, yes! Lab technician? Why, that's my dream. I love the white jacket. It looks really good on ya. Nikita. Am I saying that right?

Nikita: Nikita. Yes. Thank you.

Mimi: It's a very interesting name, as in "La Emme Nikita"?

Nikita: Zut. La femme.

Mimi: Huh?

Nikita: "La femme Nikita" is woman. I am not woman.

Mimi: Oh. I can certainly see that.

Nikita: Nikita, like in Nikita Khrushchev.

Mimi: Yeah, wow, that's great. Strong name.

Nikita: Yes. Now, how can I help you?

Mimi: Can you tell me what it's like being a lab technician 'cause I've got an interview coming up and I want to ace it.

Nikita: Please, what means ace?

Mimi: It means I want to get the job so I can be cool like you, Nikita.

Shawn D.: Hello.

Nurse: Hi. Shawn Brady, right? Hope your feeling better?

Shawn D.: Fine. Fine, thanks.

Nurse: Good. Good to hear. You had a very close call, you know?

Shawn D.: Yes. Yes, I did. Thank you for taking such good care of me. Do you remember my wife, Mimi Brady?

Nurse: Oh, sure, she's a sweetheart.

Shawn D.: Yeah, yeah, I actually -- I'm trying to find her. I need to give her somber news. I wanted to tell her myself.

Nurse: Oh, I'm sorry.

Shawn D.: No, it's okay. She was coming to see her mother, Bonnie Lockhart. She volunteers here.

Nurse: Sure, who could forget Bonnie? Yeah, I saw them get on the elevator together just a little while ago headed down.

Shawn D.: Okay, thank you.

Jack: You know the thing about caves? They don't just get darker.

Jennifer: No.

Jack: They get colder. I mean, I wonder, how did the Anasazi do it? I mean, they were cave dwellers.

Jennifer: Jack, but we're not in New Mexico.

Jack: No, we're not, but we're not in Antarctica, either.

Jennifer: No.

Jack: You'd think the body heat would just keep you going a little bit longer.

Jennifer: Well, it's not like I haven’t tried, that's for sure.

Jack: No, that's for sure. I just... I just wish it would just keep going on longer, that's all.

Jennifer: I wish that search party would get here.

Jack: Yeah. That's what I wish -- a search party will get here sooner than later.

Jennifer: They might, but I like being here alone with you, ck.

Jack: I like it, too.

Jennifer: I mean, we haven't been here that long. It would be okay to not be rescued for a little while, don't you think?

Jack: No. No. Sooner or later because I want to stay with you as long as possible. And that means getting back to Salem. I mean it. The first thing I'd do would be grab you and grab Abigail and Jack Jr., and I'd hug you. And we'd all hug as tightly, as closely as we could for as long as we could... for as long as I got -- for as much time as I've got, till the very end.

Jennifer: Jack! It's not going to be the end. I know that now.

Jack: Yeah.

Mimi: Uh-huh, so, you went to school in Brooklyn wow. I've always wanted to see the Big Apple.

Nikita: Yes, apple is very nice -- juicy. I could take you there and show you bright lights.

Mimi: Oh, that sounds great. So how do you have to study before you got your first job?

Nikita: I get job right away. Check it.

Mimi: Right away? Wow, that's what I wanted to hear.

Nikita: I'm so happy to help you.

Bonnie: I know this is wrong, okay? But I'm doing it for my kid.

Mimi: So, what else can you tell me about your lab work? Oh, wow, that sounds so official and sexy.

Nikita: Sexy, yes. I am always in sexy mood. I could take you for dinner tomorrow night and show you?

Shawn D.: Hey, what do you think you're doing? Get your hands off her.

Hope: I heard Roman found another disc in eve's apartment, which tells me that this disc also could be blank.

Bo: Well, we're about to find out.

Hope: Maybe we shouldn’t.

Bo: No, I think we owe it to each other and to Zack. It's a bit grainy.

Hope: I can see it just fine.

Bo: That's it.

Hope: I'm sorry. I misjudged you.

Bo: I'm sorry, too, Fancy Face... about everything... but mostly about letting Chelsea drive that night. You know, I dream about him all the time... you know, our Saturday mornings together, making those little pancakes he liked, you know, shaped like animals and how we'd tell stories about superheroes and --

Hope: You were his hero, Bo.

Bo: But you know his favorite story about how the three of us would sail away around the world like we did with his big brother, just the three of us sailing far, far away...

Hope: And now he is far, far away...alone. Every since Zack died, I've had a lot of trouble trusting the people closest to me.

Bo: And that includes me.

Hope: Especially you.

Bo: But now you know I didn’t steal the disc, didn't write those e-mails, and it was okay for me to get a divorce if you didn't stand up for Chelsea.

Hope: There's something else, Brady.

Bo: What?

Hope: Today in court, Billie showed up.

Bo: Billie -- why was she there?

Hope: Just because she said she had something t that might change my mind about going through with the divorce.

Bo: What?

Hope: I never told you this before. The night that I left Salem for Morgan Island, the night that you got into the big brawl at the Cheatin' Heart --

Bo: How'd you know about that?

Hope: Because I'm your wife. I know that she took you to the motel to sleep it off.

Bo: Well, but you don't think we did anything --

Hope: No, but I did think that you did because you know what? I came to the hotel and I saw you in bed with her with my own eyes.

Bo: No, I wasn't --

Hope: Just let me finish, okay? Today in court, in front of everyone, she admitted that she wanted me to believe the two of you were having an affair. She knowingly helped Chelsea break up our marriage, not because she wanted you back, but because she wanted to keep you on Chelsea's side so you wouldn't testify against her in the trial.

Bo: Oh. That's -- and that's when you left Salem and you left me and you went to Lockhart because of Chelsea and Billie. This is just --

Hope: It took a lot of courage for her to say what she said in court today.

Bo: Oh, I don't give a damn. She had all this time to come clean, and she didn’t.

Hope: Because she didn't want to turn you against Chelsea.

Bo: Yeah, well, Chelsea did a pretty good job of doing that herself. I can't believe that little monster's my kid. All this time, Hope, everything that has happened -- all the lies and misunderstandings.

Hope: I know.

Bo: Hope, with everything that happened, there's one thing that never changed, and that is my love for you. I have never stopped loving you.

Hope: And I never stopped loving you either.

Bo: Well, then what? What's going on here? Why aren't we together?

Shawn D.: Where do you get off? You always go around putting your hands on married women?

Nikita: Married? How could I know this?

Shawn D.: She has a ring on her finger. In this country, we wear rings when we get married.

Jack: So, how long have you been aware of these psychic powers, Miss Deveraux, hmm?

Jennifer: I don't need psychic powers to know that you're in remission, Jack.

Jack: I'm in remission?

Jennifer: No doubt about it.

Jack: And you know this how?

Jennifer: Because my heart told me when we were making love.

Jack: Really? And how can you trust your heart at such an intense moment, hmm?

Jennifer: You know why? Because it's never let me down before, Jack. Fate brought us together. We are not going to be torn apart again. I know that.

Jack: Oh, I don't know that I share that optimism.

Jennifer: Well, it's not optimism, Jack. It's faith.

Jack: Faith. I'll have faith when we're both 80 years old switching out our dentures in rocking chairs.

Jennifer: You know what, Jack? Faith is believing what you cannot see.

Jack: Then faith has no place with --

Jennifer: Jack! Jack! Jack!

[Door closes]

Nikita: Ulias, it's Nikita Krazny, University Hospital Laboratory. It's about Claire Kiriakis and Shawn Brady DNA testing. Yes, I know I am late. I had accidental intercourse -- niet -- interpersonal -- sorry. Sorry. Yes, I am speeding up process. I will have answer soon. Yes, bye.

Shawn D.: Nikita. Isn't that a woman's name? That guy was a jerk.

Mimi: Yeah, forget him.

Shawn D.: He had his hands all over you. I'm sorry. I just don't like that. What were you doing down there, anyway?

Mimi: I was looking for –

Shawn D.: Really? A nurse told me that she saw you getting on the elevator with her.

Mimi: Yeah, I was with her and then she got called to help with one of the patients in the lab area.

Shawn D.: Your mom was helping with -- oh, I thought she was just handing out magazines. Isn't that what she did? Like my Gran.

Mimi: Well, yeah, but you know my mom. She likes to mix it up wherever she goes. Anyway, I was waiting and waiting for her, and I got tired of it. So I went looking for her, and that's when that guy hit on me.

Shawn D.: All right, well, we should go find her.

Mimi: No. Now that you're here, I'd be just as happy to go home.

Shawn D.: But I have some news, and I'd like to tell the two of you together.

Mimi: What news? Why don't you just tell me now?

Shawn D.: Okay, all right. There's no easy way to say this, but your brother, Patrick, he was arrested for the murder of police Officer Eve Michaels.

Hope: The judge had asked me if Billie's statement had changed my mind.

Bo: Had it?

Hope: I never got the chance to answer. The bailiff came in, and the judge ordered a continuance.

Bo: What would your answer have been?

Hope: I don't know. I don't know anything anymore. I can't think str -- ow.

Bo: Here. Sit down. Okay?

Hope: Yeah.

Bo: Take a deep breath.

Hope: Yeah, I'm okay now.

Bo: Zack started his life a part of you. You carried him. And that bond is strong, especially for a woman who loves as deeply as you. And the loss pulled you down away from everybody you love. And, Fancy Face, I've been thinking a lot about this. As much as it hurts to have him gone, as much as it makes us angry beyond what anyone can understand, there's something inside us that just doesn't want to let go of that pain and anger. We're afraid if we do that our little boy's really gone. If we do, we'll have to accept we'll never see him again. I'm sorry, Fancy Face. I would give anything to make my dream come true, bring our little boy back to your arms. I would do anything. I hope you know that.

Hope: I do. I do.

Bo: And I know it's difficult for you to trust, but us being apart, it's making things worse. Hope, we should be together. We could take some of that pain away. I think we could find a way to remember our son with love and maybe even joy instead of fighting every time we talk about him. Our memories of our son -- it's wrapped up in these negative feelings. And I want to remember him in a different way. And I know you do, too. There's got to be a way for us to remember him with joy, honor. And we can get there if we're brave enough to let it happen. We can do it.

Jennifer: Jack -- come on, Jack. Where is it? Where is it, Jack? Come on.. Please. Oh, God, your pulse is so weak. Oh, please. Jack! Jack, listen to me. Do not die on me. Do you hear me? Jack, if you die on me, I will never forgive you. Do you hear me? Jack! Wake up! Come on.

Nikita: Yeah, this chick was hot -- boiling, like hot borscht, I'm telling you. Blon. Not move on me. [Speaking Russian] No vodka. I don't drink on my job. I'm telling you, Sergei, I'm not lying. This sexy babe, she was steaming like Pierogi on my plate. Yeah, I want to take a bite. I was in sexy mood. Check it. Yeah, tonight we go to club. I hit on a show girl. I tell you, Sergei, she will not say no to Nikita.

Mimi: Patrick's not a killer somebody obviously made a mistake here. Wait. You said your dad was the arresting officer.

Shawn D.: Yeah.

Mimi: Okay, no offense, but it's not a big leap to think your dad could have made up stuff just to get my brother away from your mom. Today is their divorce hearing. I mean, I know it's not something he would normally do, but he hates Patrick. And I'm sure he was getting pretty desperate.

Shawn D.: Well, my dad does have a history of messing with the truth, so you could right.

Mimi: God. Patrick was finally getting it together -- his new job at the PD, a baby on the way, he's crazy about your mom. What if he loses it all?

Hope: I don't know how to let go of the anger. It's not easy. Zack’s death is eating a hole in my heart. Sometimes I think the anger fills it. I don't know. I know it's not good, but I don't know what else to do about it.

Bo: We can go to therapy.

Hope: Therapy?

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: Bo Brady in therapy? Now, that's something I would definitely.

Bo: Start shelling out 'cause I'd do anything for you.

Hope: Anything?

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: Even raising another man's child?

Bo: Even raising another man's child.

Hope: I'm not going to convict Patrick until all the information's in.

Bo: Hey, this is about you and me, not him. We love each other. We have since we first met. That will never change. You only went to him because you were mad at me, thought I wanted a divorce. But, Fancy Face... you're my life. Let me prove to you how much I love you. All you got to do is come back to me. Just come back to me.

Hope: I'm not ready. A lot's happened today. I need time to think.

Bo: All right. When you feel like working things out between us, you know how to find me.

Jennifer: Oh, my gosh. Jack, you're freezing. Hold on. Okay. All right, hold on, Jack. Put this hand under there. [Blades whir] Oh, my gosh. Jack -- Jack, I think it's a helicopter. Bo must have heard you. He must have heard you. Hold on, Jack. Hold on. Where is it? Hey! Hey, we're over here! We're over here! Can you see us? Come save us, please!

[Cellphone rings] Ow.

Nikita: Why are you hiding under desk? Are you spy?

Bonnie: Shh! They're after me.

Nikita: Shh! Come. Go! I tell no one. [Cellphone ringing]

Bonnie: Ow. Hello? Mimi, why did you call me? I only had time to press a few keys before Dr. Zhivago came back to his computer. I don't even know if the change went through.

Mimi: Never mind that now, Mom. I'm with Shawn, and we need to get to the police station right away it's Patrick.

Bonnie: Patrick? Oh, my God, what happened? Is he hurt?

Mimi: He needs us, Mom.

Hope: Hi, my beautiful baby boy. Oh, Zack, I miss you so much, baby. I watched when they lowered your tiny little casket into the ground. In my heart, I honestly can't make myself believe that you're really gone. What am I supposed to do without you? I so miss the way you used to make me laugh. I don't laugh anymore, honey. What's wrong with me, huh? Why can't I forgive your father? I know that I should. I know it's wrong to hold on to all of that anger, but I can't let it go. I just can’t. It turns out that he didn't steal the disc, honey, that kept Chelsea out of jail. Turns out he -- he didn't do a lot of the things that mommy was so angry about for so long. That should make a difference, shouldn't it? I don't ow d though. Your dad gave his daughter the keys to the car, even after he promised me that he wouldn’t. And if he hadn't -- if he hadn't -- if he hadn't -- oh, God, if he hadn’t... but he did. She was driving, but your father's just as guilty, and I don't know if I can ever get past that. Please, God, tell me what -- what am I supposed to do? What am I supposed to do?

Jennifer: Come here. It's this way! It's my husband. I don't know what's wrong. He collapsed.

Paramedics: We'll get him to a hospital right away.

Jennifer: Okay, thank you for getting here. I don't know what I would have done without you. Jack, it's gonna be okay. I just hope it's not too late. Please, hurry. Oh, I hope it's not too late. Hurry!

Patrick: I had nothing to do with that woman's death, but I need you to help me prove it.

Jennifer: Good-bye.

Lexie: I'll check him out, and we'll see. You just try to stay calm, okay?

Jennifer: Lexie, please -- Lexie, don't let him die, please!

Mimi: What does it say?

Shawn D.: I'm -- I'm Claire's father.
