Days of Our Lives Transcript Wednesday 8/30/06 - Canada; Thursday 8/31/06 - U.S.A.
Philip: I hope there's a message from Abe. I didn't tell you, but he's gonna go to the hospital and ask some questions about that ridiculous file they found in Shawn's cubicle..
Belle: Philip, do you really think that somebody's out to get us?
Philip: Like I said before, what else could it be? If you've never been with him, he couldn't be Claire's father, right?
Belle: I know.
Belle: It's just strange.
Belle: I wonder how Shawn's feeling about all this.
Philip: I'm sure Shawn is sleeping.
Belle: Yeah, I guess we shouldn't bother them.
Philip: Plus, let's be honest. It's not like he's gonna be too surprised to hear that Sami's wedding didn't happen, right?
Belle: I was surprised when she called it off.
Philip: Tradition -- it's a hard thing to break.
Belle: No, I know how much she wanted to marry Austin. She was just seconds away. She just needed to put the ring on his finger.
Philip: Sami is the kind of girl who has no idea how to handle success.
Belle: I think she's still love with Lucas.
Philip: Well, that would be a very good reason not to marry someone else, especially now that he's with Carrie. I hope Claire's up. I feel like I haven't seen her all day. Come on.
Belle: Oh, no. She got ya.
Maggie: Oh, I kind of think that's an understatement. I mean, it was a full-scale attack -- both arms firing. Oh, wow. Belle look at that Claire has quite a pitching arm. Oh, my goodness.
Belle: I'm so sorry.
Maggie: You know what? I loved every minute of it, really. Really, I did..
Belle: Is she asleep?
Maggie: I guess we both tired each other out. I gave her a bath and put her down to sleep. Oh! Oh! Philip, please don't step in the kitchen. If you do, you'll slip and break your neck. It's quite a mess. I'm so sorry about this.
Belle: It's okay. We're used to it. Claire is quite the picky little eater.
Maggie: Wow, she definitely doesn't take after you. I mean, you -- if I remember correctly, you ate everything in sight.
Philip: Yeah, she’s little, I was the human garbage disposal.
Maggie: Well, then Claire -- she obviously didn't inherit that gene from either one of you. Oh, wow. Okay, did I say something I shouldn't have said?
[Banging on door]
Bonnie: Oh, my poor baby.
Mimi: Why am I your poor baby?
Bonnie: Oh, honey, you don't have to be strong with me. Lexie told me about Shawn seeing the file, and now he knows Claire's his --
Mimi: Shh! Be quiet.
John: Officer Michaels, what are you doing here?
Tek: She's on my team investigating the possible threat to the Brady’s. So, where's Bo and Roman?
John: Well, Bo took Hope home, and Roman went back to the cop shop.
Tek: So, I take it you never came across the person of interest I got a glimpse of earlier.
John: No. How about you?
Eve: Just a couple of muddy footprints outside the church near the rear door.
Tek: Same door I chased the suspect out of earlier.
John: Hmm. Why don't you show me those prints?
Eve: Right this way.
E.J.: I know how hard it must have been for you to leave Austin at the altar.
Sami: I humiliated him. And I know exactly how he feels. And I can't tell him why.
E.J.: Well, you could.
Sami: Not if I want my family or him to ever talk to me again. Why did I think that Lexie would leave me alone?
E.J.: You really think it was Lexie?
Sami: Who else could it have been? Maybe I should have married Austin anyway, you know -- called her bluff.
E.J.: No. If it was her, she went to a hell of a lot of trouble, Sami -- sending you threatening notes, using a mechanized voice, following your every move. This is not a bluff.
Sami: My dad was here before, and he wanted to know why I called off the wedding.
E.J.: Did you tell him about Carrie?
Sami: Of course not. I told him that Austin put me on too high a pedestal and that I couldn't take the pressure of living up to it.
E.J.: Did he believe you?
Sami: Well, he said, "you reap what you sow, Sami." But of course he's right. I ruined everything.
E.J.: That's not true. Samantha, you walked away from that altar for the sake of your son. And you should be proud of yourself for that.
Sami: Proud? All my son wants is to be normal, to have a normal family, and instead, he is stuck with me. And the worst part is, I'm never gonna change. And Lucas tried to tell me that I wouldn't let myself be happy. And he's right. Every time I get close, I end up doing something that ruins it, and I don't know why I do these things.
E.J.: I believe that's a question for your mother, the psychiatrist. Hey, if it's a little too close, you can get a referral, but don't try and analyze yourself, Sami. Why don't I get your stuff? I'm gonna drive you home.
Sami: With what car, E.J.? Yours is broken.
E.J.: Right. Forgot about that. Hmm. Okay. We've had quite an adventure today, haven't we?
Sami: I just hope that Officer Peters pays for making me almost miss my wedding now that I think about it, he was doing me a favor, wasn't he? Who would have thought that getting caught in a rainstorm and having to wait it out in an abandoned house and getting thrown in jail with a bunch of prostitutes would turn out to be the highlight of my wedding day?
E.J.: There we go. See? At least you kept your sense of humor.
Sami: What makes you think that? The last thing I want to do is smile.
E.J.: Yeah? Who's this? [Gasps]
Sami: [Laughs] What?
E.J.: Officer Peters when he found out who your dad was. See? Do you feel better? Do you feel better?
Sami: E.J., please. I'm not gonna --
Marlena: Sami --
Marlena: What's going on here?
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
John: It's a good, clear set of prints. It appears to be a male, size 11 or 12. Once forensics makes the molds, they're gonna give us a style of shoe, and that'll narrow it down. Good job, Eve.
Eve: Thank you. I hate to think there really could be a threat to the Brady family.
John: Yeah, so do I. Look, why don't we just keep that between us for now?
Eve: Yeah, no problem. I can be very discreet.
Tek: I'm gonna go call Roman and give him an update.
Eve: I look forward to working closely with you, John -- very closely.
Sami: Mom, um, E.J. was just talking with me about everything that we went through to get to the wedding. And he was just trying to make me smile.
Marlena: Well, I see it worked.
Sami: Yeah, thank you for making me feel better.
E.J.: I'm glad I did.
Marlena: If you don't mind, E.J., would you excuse us for a moment, please? I'd like to talk to my daughter.
E.J.: No, in fact, I think you may be just what the doctor ordered. I'll wait outside, okay? Excuse me.
Sami: Thanks again, E.J. I'm sorry, Mom.
Marlena: Sami, I didn't think that I would find you so upbeat. Are you relieved to cancel the wedding?
Sami: No, I am not relieved. I feel awful. But before you ask, there is nothing going on between me and E.J.
Marlena: Why do you think that I would ask you that?
Sami: Because everybody else has, and I'm telling you right now, there's nothing more to it.
Marlena: He seems like a very proper young man.
Sami: He's my friend -- the only one I have in this town.
Marlena: Sami, why did you cancel the wedding?
Sami: Remember you asked me if I subconsciously had reservations about marrying Austin? Well, I think you were right. I love Austin very much, and I guess I love him enough to let him go.
Marlena: Why do you say that?
Sami: When he put that ring on my finger, it just seemed so final. And I guess I realized that I wasn't ready. And I figured if we're not ready at this point, we probably never will be.
Marlena: Wow. Sami, that's very grown-up -- very grown-up.
Sami: Yeah me too?
Marlena: I do. I do. I think maybe you could have found a moment alone with Austin to share that information.
Sami: I didn't know it was gonna happen.
Marlena: Yeah, I understand. The moment of truth comes when it comes, and you confronted that. I'm proud of you for it.
Marlena: Is there anything else going on with you?
Sami: Mom, why can't I ever be the first though? Lucas loves Carrie. Austin loves Carrie. Why can't it ever be me?
Marlena: Oh, Sami -- Sami. Lucas and Austin cared enough about you to propose to you. And you made it all the way to the altar.
Sami: Yeah, and then I ruined it every time. No wonder they don't want to be with me.
Marlena: That's not true.
Sami: Guys fight over Belle. They fight over Carrie. They fight over you.. What's so different about me?
Marlena: You just can't let yourself think like that, Sami.
Sami: I'm not stupid. I'm not ugly -- at least I don't think I am.
Marlena: You are beautiful. You are intelligent. And you're also very, very strong woman.
Sami: I'm not strong enough to do the right thing, am I? Mom, what happened to me? I was brought up in this wonderful family, and I'm the bad seed.
Marlena: No, you are not.
Sami: You are such a great mom. You are such a great role model. And you raised Carrie and she's not even your daughter. You raised Belle. But me and Eric -- we're, like, kind of like these castoffs. I mean, it's no wonder Eric doesn't want to live in Salem.
Marlena: Oh, Sami -- Sami.
Sami: Oh, Mom, I didn't mean to make you feel bad.
Marlena: I do. I always will.
Sami: I'm old enough now that I shouldn't need my mom all the time around to make me feel better. But, like, right now, it does make me feel better to have you re
Marlena: Me too. I'm so glad I'm here right now. I'm so glad we had this talk.
Marlena: Sami, is there anything else going on with you -- anything else on your mind that you want to talk about?
Sami: No. No, nothing.
Marlena: Do you want me to give you a ride home?
Sami: Um... I think I'd be better off alone. I'm fine.
Marlena: All right, I understand. I will be here whenever you need me. And I do love you so much.
Sami: I love you, Mom.
Marlena: Oh, sweet baby girl.
Sami: Well, now it's time for the real moment of truth. E.J... would you be willing to do me a favor?
Sami: Help me end this night right.
Bonnie: Why do I have to be quiet?
Mimi: Because Shawn is asleep in the bedroom.
Bonnie: You mean he's not with Belle and Claire living happily ever after?
Mimi: Thanks a lot.
Bonnie: Honey, you know what I mean.
Mimi: Yes, unfortunately, I do know what you mean, but he has no reason to be with them because he doesn't believe what it said in the file.
Bonnie: Well, Lexie didn't tell me that part. Of course, I didn't give her much of a chance. I ran out of there so fast. Wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait. What exactly do they not believe?
Mimi: Shawn and Belle don't think they ever had sex, so how could Claire possibly be his?
Bonnie: I still can't believe that they don't remember doing it. I remember the first I ever had in my life, and that was 15 years ago. I digress. Okay, let's get back to the file. If there was a record that said that Shawn is Claire's father, there had to be DNA proof -- matching blood tests.
Mimi: They all think that someone's just playing some kind of sick joke on them.
Bonnie: We dodged another bullet?
Mimi: More like a guided missile.
Bonnie: Am I dreaming this?
Mimi: I had to ask myself the same thing, but what I am telling you is the truth. As far as Belle and Shawn and Philip are concerned, Claire belongs to Philip, not Shawn.
Belle: No, Maggie, you didn't say anything wrong. We're just really tired.
Maggie: Well, of course you are. You were at the hospital with Shawn for a long time and then Sami's wedding. You know, when you called me and told me what had happened, I couldn't believe it.
Belle: You know what? Let me clean that up for you, Maggie.
Maggie: Oh, well, you know what? I didn't really think the wedding was gonna happen. But I figured that Austin would be the one to call it off. No offense, Belle.
Belle: No, I mean, I'm sad for Sami, but I'm right there with you.
Maggie: So, do you have any idea why she got cold feet?
Philip: No. And we don't care -- at least I don’t.
Maggie: Okay. I better go. All right, well, leave you two alone.
Philip: Maggie, thank you so much for everything. Thank you very, very much. We couldn't do it without you.
Belle: Oh, we'll have to take you to dinner sometime.
Maggie: Still got some peas on my face. Good night.
Belle: Bye, Maggie.
Maggie: Good night, Philip.
Philip: Good night.
Belle: Okay, so, what she said upset you.
Philip: Claire doesn't eat like we did when we were kids. Does that prove something?
Belle: I never said it did.
Philip: I know. It's been a long day. I think I’ll go take a shower, and I'm gonna go to bed.
Eve: Look, I wouldn't ask you if it wasn't important.
O'Malley: Tell you what -- my birthday's in two weeks, falls on a Saturday, and I'm scheduled to --
Eve: Say no more. I will cover you.
O'Malley: Okay, it's a deal.
Eve: All right. O'Malley's gonna cover my shift tonight, so I can go home early and get ready for our date.
John: Oh, that sounds great. All right, I'll pick you up in a couple hours and then we'll just take it from there.
Eve: After we have a drink at my house. Who knows? Maybe we don't need to go anywhere.
John: Who knows?
Marlena: Hi, there. This must be the girl you've been dating. Nice to meet you. I'm Mrs. John Black.
E.J.: Dr. Carver, aren't you going to invite us in?
Lexie: I'm busy.
E.J.: We're coming in anyway.
Lexie: What the hell do you think you're doing? Sami, okay, get out now!
Sami: What are you so busy with, Lexie -- making more threatening phone calls?
Lexie: What are you talking about?
Sami: You know damn well what I'm talking about.
Lexie: Okay, then refresh my memory, Sami.
Sami: Okay, I will. How about yesterday at the hospital when you threatened to ruin my wedding? And then this morning, just as my dad walked me down the aisle, I get a call from this electronically altered voice threatening that if I go through with the wedding, our little secret will be revealed. And then the priest is about to pronounce us husband and wife and you show up at the ceremony. So, you tell me, Lexie.
Bonnie: I can't believe this. After months and months of worrying about what Shawn would do when he found out that Claire was his baby and it fizzles out like a bum firecracker on the Fourth of July.
Mimi: You know what, Mom? Maybe for all these months and months, I've been worried for nothing.
Mimi: Shawn and Belle think they never slept together because they don't remember it happening. They have as much information as we do. Why the hell do we think they're wrong?
Bonnie: Honey, do you think they're wrong?
Mimi: No, but only because that's just my luck.
Bonnie: Baby, I wish we were wrong, but this DNA thing didn't come out of nowhere.
Mimi: Philip thinks it did. He is sure it's completely made-up. He's got all these conspiracy theories going. The only problem is he and Lexie are both determined to find out how Claire's file ended up in Shawn's room.
Bonnie: Okay? So what? As long as everyone believes that Shawn and Belle were never together -- come on. It's not like they're gonna retake the DNA tests. Maybe you're home free and with a clear conscience to boot. Oh, God.
Mimi: Well I pray you're right.
Lexie: Sami, the only reason that I showed up at that church was to see if you had the guts to go through with marrying Austin knowing that you prevented him from being with the woman that he truly loves.
E.J.: So you weren't trying to disrupt the wedding?
Lexie: Honestly, I considered it for a moment, you know -- telling everyone in the church exactly what Sami had done. But how could I incriminate her without incriminating myself, as well, E.J.? You know, I have a lot to lose myself -- my license to practice medicine, for one thing. Sami, I can't imagine what your family would think of you if they truly knew what a manipulator you really are. But you know, E.J., don't you? How can you stand to be with her?
E.J.: I wouldn't be anywhere else.
Eve: I didn't realize your wife was still in the picture.
Marlena: Still in the picture.
John: We're separated, Marlena. I believe I already told you that.
Eve: Yes, you did.
John: Mm-hmm. Yes, I did. It's what you wanted, remember?
Marlena: I told you it was temporary till I got back on my feet.
John: Well, you see, I didn't read it that way. In fact, I got the distinct impression you were already ready to move on.
John: You could have fooled me, especially the way you were hanging all over Roman.
Marlena: Are you kidding? John, it's our daughter's wedding day. Of course I was next to him.
John: Doc, come on. Why don't you stop acting so naive? If you're free to hook up with your ex again, I'm free to see whoever I want. And tonight, it's Eve. Come on. I'll walk you out.
Bonnie: Baby, I, for one, am so glad that everything is finally out in the open. I know how much this secret was tearing you up inside.
Mimi: It was. I actually bargained with God today. I promised that if Shawn were to wake up and be okay, then I would tell him the truth.
Bonnie: And God was smiling on you. Not only is Shawn completely okay, but somebody else took care of that truth-telling part.
Mimi: Yeah, but Shawn doesn't know it's the truth.
Bonnie: Like you said, he has as much information as we do, and he still doesn't believe it. You're absolved, baby -- completely free of guilt.
Mimi: I don't know.
Bonnie: Well, I'll tell you what you can do. You can thank God it's finally over.
Mimi: Well, let's not celebrate yet. Now that the seed has been planted, Shawn and Belle are gonna keep thinking about it.
Bonnie: All right, then. So, just who do we think put the file in Shawn's room to see, and why would they do it?
Mimi: I don't know, but Philip has a crazy theory. He thinks it's the same person who switched the embryos.
Bonnie: That a nurse's mistake.
Mimi: Philip isn't so sure about that.
Bonnie: [Sighs] Hang on, sugar. Are you saying that Philip thinks that somebody did all this on purpose?
Philip: Hey. Claire's back down.
Belle: Thank you, but I could have done it, you know.
Philip: I wanted to.
Belle: Is everything okay?
Philip: Yeah. It's just this thing with the file. It's not easy for me to know that there's someone out there trying to hurt us.
Belle: Look, I know it's not easy, but we do know that Claire is yours.
Philip: Have I told you how beautiful you looked at the wedding tonight? Just like you do right now.
Belle: Thank you.
Sami: E.J. believes in me. He understands me, unlike everyone else in this town.
Lexie: Sami, if he really understood you, he would get in his car right now, step on the accelerator, and drive away from here as fast as he could, which would be pretty damn fast, wouldn't it, E.J.? [Laughs] Listen, do yourself a favor, okay? Get out now before it's too late. Now that she no longer has her sights on Austin, I'm sure you'll be next.
E.J.: Sweet. You don't need to worry about me, Dr. Carver. See, I'm quite content where I am. Besides which, I come from a family with a little bit of a flair for the dramatic. I'm always looking for the next rush. That's probably why I got into motor racing. And it's hardly any surprise that I'm attracted to Samantha.
John: I am glad I found you. Look, I don't want you to get the wrong idea about Eve.
Marlena: What's going on here? It's only been a couple days and you are already dating.
John: Hey, come on. It doesn't mean anything.
Marlena: It doesn't mean anything? John, I thought you'd be upset when I said I needed some time and some space. And I expected that. But I thought you understood. You've been calling me. You've been leaving me very sweet messages and sending me flowers.
John: There you go. That should prove to you right there that Eve doesn't mean anything to me.
Marlena: You're working on a case, aren't you? That's what it is.
John: What gave you that idea?
Marlena: You are, aren't you? You are.
John: I don't know, but I kind of like seeing you jealous.
Marlena: You do? Well, I have ways of getting answers out of you.
E.J.: Of course I find you attractive. Don't look so surprised. I've as much as told you on several occasions.
Sami: I know. I thought you were just being nice. I mean, I don't always look my best when you're saying it.
E.J.: You're a beautiful woman, Samantha, but I'm talking about your inner beauty, the fire that lies within your soul. In you, I feel that I've met a real kindred spirit.
Lexie: Well, E.J., you certainly have a way with words. But do you know what kind of fire is burning in Sami's soul, if she even has a soul?
Sami: Look who's talking.
Lexie: And if she really is a kindred spirit of yours, then I feel very sorry for you.
E.J.: Don’t. I think I'll be just fine.
Lexie: You know, E.J., when you came and offered me that donation for breast-cancer research, I really thought you were one of the good guys.
Sami: He is a good guy. That doesn't stop him from being my friend.
E.J.: You know what's interesting is that we're really not that different, the three of us -- I mean, you, Sami, and myself. We all like to live on the edge.
Lexie: Oh, no, that doesn't describe me at all.
E.J.: Really? Hmm. So, what was that thing that Sami had on you that was so damning she was able to blackmail you?
Marlena: Hmm. Hmm. Well, you want to change those plans for tonight?
John: I can’t.
Marlena: Oh. Well, then, I was right, wasn't I?
John: You're always right, Doc.
Marlena: Well, there is that. What can you tell me about the case?
John: Well, it has to do with the disc that was stolen out of the police evidence room -- the one for Chelsea's court case.
Marlena: The one Bo was accused of taking?
Marlena: Well, how would it help Eve to have that?
John: That's what I'm gonna try to find out. With any luck, I'll be able to prove that Bo wasn't responsible, and then maybe he and Hope can get things back on track.
Marlena: That'd be nice.
John: Yeah. You know, years ago, Bo and Hope, Steve, Kayla, you, and me -- we would have been working on something like this together.
Marlena: Mm-hmm. Do you want me to put on my police-psychiatrist hat for you?
John: That would help.
Marlena: What would eve have to gain by having the disc?
John: Money. And apparently she needs it desperately.
Marlena: Then she must be working for somebody.
John: And tonight I'm gonna find out exactly who that someone is. What a difference a day makes. It's hard to believe that yesterday at this time I was trading tequila shots with Shawn. Now I got my priorities straight. Even with everything that's happened in the last 24 hours, I'm glad you’re my wife.
Belle: I want to make you so happy, Philip.
Philip: I am happy, can't you tell? In fact... I have an idea.
Philip: The state fair is going on at exposition park. Tomorrow's the last day. I think we should go. Let's take Claire. Let's pack a picnic. They have a petting zoo. She'll love it. We can take her on her first merry-go-round ride. Let's do it. What do you say?
Belle: It sounds so great, except for one thing.
Philip: What? What? What?
Belle: She has her doctor's appointment at 1:00.
Philip: Okay, well, then let's go on the carousel at the mall after her appointment.
Belle: You're gonna come with us?
Philip: Yeah, why wouldn't I?
Belle: Well, they have to adjust her meds tomorrow, which means lots of blood work, which means three people holding her down. I mean, it's awful -- real tears, bottom lip, the whole thing. It's heartbreaking.
Philip: Well, then as her daddy, I should be there to wipe her tears, shouldn't I? In fact, I'm sorry for not going in the past.
Belle: Well, I know how much it would upset you to see her upset.
Philip: Yeah. But as a parent, you take the good with the bad, right? It's not gonna be a day at the park, but it's still something we can do together as a family, right?
Bonnie: You know, Kate was going on and on not too long ago about some nutty conspiracy theory, but I just thought she had too much to drink. I mean, a Vivian Alamain only comes around once in a lifetime. Who'd really want to switch those embryos anyway?
Mimi: I don't know.
Bonnie: [Sighs] Look, honey, if I wanted to commit an act of terror, Philip Kiriakis' sperm isn't the first place I'd start.
Mimi: I don't think Philip's theory is that farfetched, Mom.
Bonnie: Wait, you think Belle or Shawn did it?
Mimi: No, I don't think Belle or Shawn did it. Look, Philip's dad's got a reputation for being incredibly vicious in business, right?
Mimi: I mean, he's rubbed a lot of people the wrong way for many years.
Bonnie: Okay, fine, so why go after Philip or you?
Mimi: Or Shawn and Belle. I don't know. But think about all the enemies the Brady’s have and Belle's dad, too. It looks like the Lockart’s are the only ones no one cares enough about to hate.
Bonnie: Oh, my God. You know who hated all of them? Those DiMeras. And even though old man Stefano's in the ground and Tony's up the river, that doesn't mean that they don't have an organization out there wreaking havoc.
Mimi: You're freaking out now, aren't you? You're the one that told me that I was hitting the Kiriakis-Brady-Horton jackpot when I married Shawn. Are you changing your mind?
Bonnie: Are you?
Mimi: Of course not.
Bonnie: Baby, you know how much I love Shawn, but I do not like the sound of this and you, right here, stuck in the middle of it. Oh, God. My little girl -- could be in terrible danger.
Marlena: I appreciate what you're doing for Bo and Hope, but I --
John: Come on, come on, come on. I'll be okay.
Marlena: I know you will. I'll just always be concerned about you.
John: I don't think Eve's gonna pose much of a threat.
Marlena: She's a cop.
John: I'm not gonna push her into the corner. I'm just gonna try to find out who is lining her pockets, if that's the case. So, how's Sami?
Marlena: Oh, um, Sami is better than I expected.
Marlena: Yeah yeah, I didn't thank you for getting her to the church on time.
John: Well, not that it mattered in the long run, right?
Marlena: I'm not crazy about the way that things turned out, but I'm glad she decided to call off the wedding when she did. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
John: I'm leaving, too. Come on. I'll walk you out.
Lexie: I thought you were more of a gentleman than to say something like that to me in my own home. Not that I owe you an explanation, but I wasn't out for a thrill when I was cheating on my husband. Tek and I began seeing each other when I thought Abe was dead. And just when I was about to end things with Tek, Sami comes along and used what she found out to destroy the lives of the people who love her the most. And now she's here threatening me again? Haven't you hurt enough people already, Sami?
Sami: Oh, give me a break. I did not send Abe that note.
Lexie: And I didn't make that phone call. I think you both should leave.
Sami: You want Abe to forgive you?
Lexie: Don't touch me.
Sami: I'll tell him in a heartbeat that you've been calling me and harassing me.
Lexie: How many times do I have to tell you? I didn't make the call, Sami. But you should be afraid. You should be very afraid because this means that someone else knows our dirty little secret. And this someone could cause a lot more harm than I ever could.
Sami: You want me to believe someone else is involved? I didn't tell anyone else.
Lexie: You told E.J.
Sami: He's my friend.
Lexie: Okay, you know what? Blame me if it makes you feel better, Sami. Tell the whole world if you like, okay? It's not like Abe is gonna put any stock in anything you have to say.
Sami: You forget how many times you've disappointed him in the past. Abe knows better than anyone -- once a DiMera, always a DiMera.
Lexie: Okay, that's it. Get out!
Sami: Lexie, if you think yo gonna get away with these sick little games, you have another thing coming.
Bonnie: Honey, this is serious. Listen to me.
Mimi: Okay, okay.
Bonnie: Just listen to me. [Sighs] You and Shawn need police protection.
Mimi: Mom, I think you've been watching too many "Law and Order" reruns. Whoever is doing these things hasn't hurt anyone, at least not physically.
Bonnie: No, not yet. I still think you and Shawn need to be on your guard. Honey, you know how these sickos are. They start off by committing small crimes like messing with your head. But soon they get hungrier, and before you know it, they're eating with nice Chianti. I'm serious. Whoever took the trouble to switch those embryos is capable of anything.
Tek: Why'd you want to meet me? What's going on?
Lexie: I just didn't want to meet you at the house. I was afraid Theo might tell Abe. And I just didn't want to give him any fuel for the fire in this custody suit.
Tek: Something's got you really upset. When I look at you, you're shaking. What's going on? Did you get another call? What happened?
Lexie: No, no. Sami Brady did.
Lexie: Today at the church. That's why she called off her wedding to Austin.
Tek: Did the caller threaten to expose her secret?
Lexie: Yeah. Yeah. Sami thinks that I'm the one who made the call.
Tek: Well, did you tell her about the call you got?
Lexie: No. I was afraid to after what that person said that they would do to Abe and Theo. Tek, this is getting out of hand, okay? This person is playing with our lives, you know? God, I'm so worried about how many people are going to get hurt.
Tek: Yeah. [Sighs]
Marlena: Ooh! Cold. It's cold out here tonight.
John: Yes, it is. It looks like it might rain again.
Marlena: Oh, that will make it nice and cozy for your little date.
John: I hope so.
Marlena: What do you mean you hope so?
John: Well, police studies have shown that a guilty person is more likely to confess a crime during a rainstorm.
Marlena: Get out. Oh. Would that be because the sound of water makes people more relaxed and they'd be more liable to -- you're kidding, right? There was no study.
John: I liked the way you analyzed it, though.
Marlena: Ooh! Ooh! I'm gonna get you.
John: Stop it. Stop it. Whoa. Oh, my God.
Marlena: Oh, my gosh. John, is she breathing?
John: I don't think so.
Abe: So you left the investigation to meet Lexie. Isn't that right?
Lexie: But Sami leaving you at the altar is the best thing that could have happened to you.
Roman: We might have a shot at the killer.
Abe: And did you find anything?
Roman: I'm afraid I did -- something you're not gonna like.
E.J.: You want to know if I'm falling for you.
