E.J.: What exactly do you mean? Look, I understand your wedding-day paranoia, Samantha, but why do you think that I would do this on purpose?
Sami: Because of this morning.
E.J.: Because of a kiss?
Sami: I thought I was kissing Austin.
E.J.: I'm well aware of that. And thought it was a very passionate kiss, it wasn't meant for me. I'm certainly not about to sabotage your wedding day over it.
Sami: What about everything else you were saying this morning -- asking me about Lucas' feelings for me? You did make it sound like you don't think I should marry Austin today.
E.J.: Do you really think so after everything I've done to help you these last few weeks?
Sami: He's coming.
E.J.: Be a good girl. Keep quiet. Officer.
Cop: License and registration, please.
E.J.: Certainly.
Cop: You were going 75 in a 40 zone. I've been waiting for someone like you all day long.
E.J.: Really, officer? Well, I got here as fast as I could. Sorry, a little British humor there.
Cop: Well, I'll be damned. It's not every day I get to stop a major race car driver, let alone give him a speeding ticket.
E.J.: Well, you'll excuse me if I'm not entirely flattered. You're a racing fan.
Cop: Oh, I'm not only a racing fan. I'm an E.J. Wells fan. Look, I'm gonna let this slide with a warning, but only if you'll sign an autograph.
E.J.: I think we have a deal. Perfect. Thank you. Thank you very much, officer. So, this is a wash? We're done?
Cop: It's a wash. Just keep your racing on the track, E.J., and off the public streets. Have a nice day, ma'am.
Sami: Oh, yeah, thanks, officer.
E.J.: Thank you, officer.
Sami: I cannot believe that, that guy recognized you and let you off without a ticket.
E.J.: I told you we'd only be a couple of minutes, didn't I?
Sami: Yes, yes, you did. Thank you, E.J. Now, honestly, you have to get me to the church before Austin thinks that I've changed my mind.
E.J.: I think that's highly unlikely. However, your wish is my command. [Engine sputters]
Sami: What's wrong with it?
E.J.: She's dead.
Mimi: I don't know what's wrong with men. Philip, you get angry about this whole in vitro mess and crash Max's car and practically kill yourself. Shawn gets angry and drinks himself into oblivion.
Belle: You're not making this Shawn's fault.
Mimi: No, I'm making this my fault.
Philip: So am I. I'm the one who pushed the custody terms on him. I'm the one who challenged him to a drinking contest.
Mimi: Philip, we're all adults. We all make our own decisions. I mean, Belle and I were upset, and we just tried to claw each other's eyes out. I guess guys handle things differently.
Philip: Sometimes we don't handle them at all.
Mimi: Shawn knew what he was getting himself into.
Belle: Shawn's had a drinking problem. Maybe he wasn't really in control..
Mimi: Belle, it's not like he's an alcoholic.
Belle: Well, for a long time, we thought he was.
Philip: It's true -- when Jan was around. That never even crossed my mind once, though.
Mimi: Okay, I'm going to the chapel.
Philip: I think that's a good idea. If he wakes up, I will come get you, okay?
Mimi: Thanks.
Philip: Okay. [Sighs]
Mimi: [Sighs] Lord, please let him be okay.
Bo: I'll go see how he's doing.
Hope: Wait, I just want to thank you.
Bo: For what?
Hope: What you said to Shawn before -- a little while ago -- that you'd always be there for him. It meant a lot to me.
Bo: I'm his dad. It's my job, and it's my privilege. I'll do everything I can to hold up that promise.
Hope: And what about the promise you made to Chelsea -- that you'd always be there for her, that you'd make up for the time you missed when she was growing up?
Bo: I can't have loyalty to someone who doesn't respect me or the people I love, even if she is my flesh and blood. Shawn -- he's our firstborn, pride and joy, and I tried to treat her like one of my own, but I can't do it anymore. She's gonna have to earn my trust and respect if she wants to be in my life again.
Hope: Do you really think that's even possible?
Bo: No, I don’t.
Chelsea: Abby, I did it. Yep, I spilled the big paternity secret. Yeah. So, the father of the baby should be finding out that he's got a kid right about now. I gave him the file. Well, no, I don't know if he's read it or not yet. I left him alone with it. You know, I thought that maybe it'd be better if he could deal with it himself in private. I know. He's gonna go crazy when he finds out. Oh, hey, I got to go. I'll call you back later, okay? Uh-huh. Bye. Hey.
Billie: Who were you talking to?
Chelsea: Oh, um, Abby. I was just letting her know how Shawn's doing. Why?
Billie: Because Sami and Austin are getting married today, and we've got to go get ready and head over to the church.
Chelsea: I'm not going.
Billie: What do you mean you're not going? You're a bridesmaid.
Chelsea: So what? The only reason Sami asked me to be is because she doesn't have any other friends.
Billie: Well, that's all the more reason that you need to be there for her. Come on. And plus, you made a commitment.
Chelsea: Mom, it's not like anybody's gonna miss me.
Billie: Chelsea...
Chelsea: Mom, if Sami being short one or two bridesmaids is the worst thing that happens to her today, she should consider herself extremely lucky. And you and I both know that Uncle Austin would be extremely lucky if she didn't show up and the whole thing got called off altogether.
Billie: Chelsea...
Chelsea: Mom, you're thinking it. I know it. You don't have to say it out loud. That's fine. But don't worry. Whether it's Sami's fault or not, she'll figure out some way to screw it up.
Billie: Yeah, but you not being there is gonna help her screw it up, okay? Now come on. Just -- let's go.
Chelsea: No, I'm not going, like I told you. I'm not going anywhere until I know that Shawn's okay. I need to be here for him... ...and for myself. [Monitors beeping]
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Sami: Please tell me that you are kidding me right now.
E.J.: Unfortunately, I'm not. No.
Sami: What the hell is wrong with the car? It's, like, this majorly expensive automobile, right?
E.J.: Not "it," Samantha. "She," okay? And she's highly sensitive, so please don't insult her.
Sami: Oh, great.
E.J.: Do me a favor. Stay here. I'm gonna see what's going on.
Sami: Did you tell me to stay here? Like, where else am I supposed to go?
E.J.: The main problem here is that I don't know a tremendous amount about car engines.
Sami: What?
E.J.: Well, basically, I mean, I have mechanics. I generally just tend to drive the thing.
Sami: Okay, E.J., seriously, please tell me you are kidding right now.
E.J.: I'm kidding.
Sami: [Sighs] Everyone's a comedian.
E.J.: Okay, look, I'm sorry. Why don't you just get on your cellphone, see if you can call somebody, get some help?
Sami: Good idea. Okay. I mean, honestly, how is this happening? Voice mail. Great. Okay, dad. Come on, please, daddy, be there. Voice mail? Where the hell is everybody?
E.J.: Well, I'd imagine they're at the church waiting for you.
Sami: Why the hell is this happening to me?
Lexie: Bo, Hope.
Bo: Hey, hey, what's going on?
Lexie: I just got a call. Shawn's waking up.
Hope: I want to see him.
Lexie: Okay, as soon as we examine him.
Belle: Oh, my God, this is so great.
Philip: All right, all right.
Hope: Thank God. Now we just have to pray that he doesn't have brain damage.
Bo: He'll be all right.
Dr. Burman: Well, his pupils are equal and reactive.
Lexie: Shawn...
Dr. Burman: Shawn, it's Dr. Burman. Can you hear me?
Shawn D.: All right. Not so loud.
Dr. Burman: All right, Shawn, I'm gonna ask you a few simple questions. I want you to bear with me here, all right? What's your full name?
Shawn D.: Shawn Douglas Brady.
Dr. Burman: Good. All right. Who are your parents?
Shawn D.: My mom and dad.
Dr. Burman: Very funny.
Shawn D.: Bo and Hope.
Dr. Burman: Okay, when were you born?
Shawn D.: April 6th.
Dr. Burman: And who is this over here next to you?
Shawn D.: Hi, Lexie.
Lexie: Hi, Shawn.
Shawn D.: What's going on?
Lexie: You had alcohol poisoning. How much did you drink last night?
Shawn D.: A bit, uh, um... 10 shots, maybe more, six beers. I don't know.. I don't remember.
Dr. Burman: Shawn, five drinks in one sitting is considered binge drinking, all right? Now, your blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit. You are very lucky to be alive. I'll be back after my rounds.
Lexie: The paramedics brought you in from your apartment. Is that where you and Philip were drinking?
Shawn D.: No, we were at my grandma's pub.
Lexie: Caroline was there?
Shawn D.: No, it was late. She was sleeping.
Lexie: So, who was serving you all these drinks?
Shawn D.: Lisa.
Lexie: Lisa.
Shawn D.: Well, just the first few, and then she asked me to look after the pub, so I did.
Lexie: Well, you certainly took care of things, didn't you?
Shawn D.: Yep, sure did. Well, I mean, then she kicked us out.
Lexie: How'd you get home?
Shawn D.: My car.
Lexie: You drove?
Shawn D.: I think.
Lexie: You think? Do you remember getting home?
Shawn D.: No. No.
Lexie: Probably had a blackout.
Shawn D.: Yeah. No, Lisa wouldn't have let us drive home. That's right. She called us a cab. She called us a cab, and then I blacked out.
Lexie: Shawn, you've had a few of these binges. And for a moderate drinker, which is what I consider you to be, you fall into the category of the highest risk of alcohol-related injuries.
Shawn D.: Is Philip okay?
Lexie: Other than being a little hung over, Philip is fine.
Shawn D.: Well, I guess he won, then, didn't he?
Lexie: He doesn't feel that way. He and Mimi feel very responsible for what happened to you.
Shawn D.: Well, this is no one's fault but my own.
Lexie: Mm-hmm. Well, I'm sure they'll be happy to hear that from you. You have a waiting room full of people very worried about you.
Shawn D.: Belle, too?
Lexie: Yes, Belle, too. [Pager beeps] Oh, excuse me.
Sami: Yeah, I need the number for Salem cab, please. Thanks. I cannot believe that I am getting all these voice mails -- my mom, my dad, both my sisters. What, are they all in the church sitting there waiting for me with their cellphones off? I should have done this to begin with. Yeah, yeah, hi, I need a cab. I'm at Lincoln and Green on the corner. Yeah, no, please, I need it as soon as possible. 45 minutes?! Have you lost your mind? This is Salem! It's not Manhattan. How long does it possibly take you to get a cab here?! What kind of outfit are -- hello? Hello? He hung up on me! That bastard! What kind of outfit is he running?!
E.J.: I can't imagine why.
Sami: You know what? I wish that cop had given you a ticket. Also because then he would have been able to give us a ride or arrange some sort of transportation -- call a cab or something for us. I'm the commander's daughter, after all. This is unbelievable. All right, I'd better call him back. Oh, my God. Come on, please. It's broken. My phone is broken. Now we're never gonna find out if the guy sent a cab or not.
E.J.: Well, I'm guessing not. Here, why don't you use my phone?
Sami: Thank you. E.J., you're not getting any service up here. Are you laughing? This is not funny. There's nothing funny about this. I swear to God, what is going on? This is like a sign that I'm not supposed to get married today.
E.J.: How so?
Sami: Well, how about everything that's happened so far?
E.J.: What do you mean? The fact that we overslept this morning and Will couldn't get a ride back from football camp?
Sami: How about before that? How about the threatening notes that I've been getting? How about Lexie's obvious warning that she was going to tell everyone that I was blackmailing her? If that happens, then Lucas, Carrie, and Austin will all find out the truth.
E.J.: You think that our car problems are, what, the universe's last-ditch attempt to keep you from being humiliated at the altar?
Sami: Maybe.
E.J.: I wouldn't buy into all that sign business, Sami -- not today.
Sami: What if the person who's been sending me these threatening notes is serious? What if they are at the church right this second just waiting for me to get there so they can humiliate me in front of the entire town?
E.J.: Samantha, last night, you were on top of the world about everything. You said that nobody was gonna get in your way, so don't let them. It's not like you, okay?
Sami: I'm trying.
E.J.: Besides which, I already told you, I'll be there. I'm gonna make sure nobody spoils your day. The only thing you need to focus on is marrying the man that you love. Everything else we can deal with later. Okay?
Sami: Okay.
E.J.: Now, I have an idea. I think I may know what the problem is with the engine, but I'm gonna need some assistance.
Sami: From me? You want me to help you with a car engine?
E.J.: You don't mind a little bit of grease, do you?
Sami: No, are you kidding? At this point, I will do anything to get me to the church. Come on. Of course, seriously, if someone had told me that I would be working on a car on my wedding day -- honestly, I swear, I have been through every single possible worst-case scenario that a bride can go through on her wedding day. Oh, God, I hope I didn't just jinx myself.
Shawn D.: So, how soon can I get out of here?
Lexie: We'll see. I'd like to monitor your vitals for a while. You're dehydrated. And you probably have a hell of a headache.
Shawn D.: Uh, yeah. How'd you know?
Lexie: Shawn, not only are you lucky to be alive, but you are very lucky that you don't appear to have any permanent damage to your mental capacities.
Shawn D.: Well, if I had all my mental capacities, I wouldn't have let things get as far as I did in the first place.
Lexie: You just make sure it never happens again, okay? Look, I'm not making any promises, but if you continue to respond as well as you have, you should be able to go home later today.
Shawn D.: Thank you for everything, Lexie.
Hope: How is he, Lex?
Bo: Is he conscious?
Lexie: Shawn is alert and oriented. His vitals are good.
Hope: Any brain damage?
Lexie: Dr. Burman and I don't feel that's a concern.
Bo: Oh, good.
Hope: Thank God.
Chelsea: When can I go see him?
Hope: I don't think you're the first person he'd want to see.
Chelsea: Well, I didn't say that I had to be the first.
Hope: Don't say another word.
Lexie: Well, right now Shawn is resting. Has anyone seen Mimi?
Belle: Yeah, she's in the chapel saying a prayer for him.
Philip: I'll go get her right now.
Mimi: God... I know I have no right asking you for anything because you made it really clear what I was supposed to do. And if I had told the truth from the very beginning, none of this would have happened. I love Shawn so much. I never knew what real, unconditional love was until he and I got together. But I still -- I couldn't trust it. I don't know what's wrong with me. Lord, I know that we don't get very many second chances in life. And I'm not saying that I deserve one because I definitely don't, but Shawn does. His family has been through so much. He has been through so much. He shouldn’t... he shouldn't die without knowing he has a daughter. Please, God, let him be okay. Let him have the chance to be a real father to Claire because that would mean everything to him. And if you -- if you let him pull through, I promise that I will do the right thing, finally, and I will tell him the truth, even if it means that I lose him forever.
Sami: Fixing cars isn't as boring as I thought.
E.J.: You know, it's really just as intricate and delicate as surgery.
Sami: Hmm.
E.J.: You see, the mechanic, just like the surgeon, has to be focused and very, very precise. One slip of the hand is really the difference between life and death -- mine, in this case, if I don't get you to the church on time.
Sami: If they don't wait for me, I'm not kidding, I'll kill them all.
E.J.: That's the spirit. Good girl. Okay, listen, why don't we try and think of something to take our mind off the wedding?
Sami: What, like, 20 questions?
E.J.: Good start.
Sami: Okay, what does E.J. stand for?
E.J.: It's French for "don't be bloody nosy."
Sami: Oh, okay, so it's something embarrassing like, what, Edgar?
E.J.: Yeah, that's it.
Sami: Elijah?
E.J.: Actually it's Edgar. You got it right.
Sami: [Laughs]
E.J.: Or Igor, for short.
Sami: I love it. I'll call you Eddie.
E.J.: All right, trouble, listen, I think I got some good news. It's a hot day, so I think the problem is a fuel vapor lock.
Sami: Okay, so, what do we do to fix it?
E.J.: Well, we just really need to let the engine cool down.
Sami: We don't have time to let the engine cool down. We -- sorry.
E.J.: Listen, darling, I don't know how much you want to talk, and I really don't mind, but please keep your hand on that hose.
Sami: Yeah, okay. Okay, I got it.
E.J.: Did I ever tell you about the time I worked on Prince William's car at Eton?
Sami: You went to school with Prince William? Oh, my God. What was he like?
E.J.: You know, he was just a regular bloke, really.
Sami: That is so cool. Did you ever get to go to Buckingham Palace? What's the queen like?
E.J.: Whoa!
Sami: Aah!
Billie: Hey. You want to go in and see Shawn when Bo and Hope come out?
Chelsea: No, I'm not gonna go inside. I don't want to upset Bo and Hope.
Billie: Well, if you didn't want to upset Bo and Hope, you shouldn't have come in the first place.
Chelsea: You know what? I think I've done everything that I can do. And now that I know Shawn's okay, I think we're okay to not stick around. I mean, we got to get to the wedding, right? Sami's probably freaking out, wondering where I am.
Billie: Okay, good. Let's go.
Chelsea: Okay.
Shawn D.: [Groaning]
Lexie: Okay, Shawn, you have your first visitors. Don't stay too long, okay?
Hope: Oh, my God. Oh, sweetie. Oh, my God. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Am I hurting you?
Shawn D.: No, no, I'm so glad to see you.
Hope: How are you feeling?
Shawn D.: I'm -- I'm fine. I'm sorry I put you through this.
Bo: Hey, hey, don't worry about it. We're just glad you're okay.
Shawn D.: Where's Mimi?
Hope: She's at the chapel saying a prayer for you.
Shawn D.: Oh, she's probably blaming herself for this, but this is nobody's fault but mine.
Hope: My God, Shawn, you're right. I mean, how could you do this to us? I'm sorry, okay? I just -- I just love you so much. You just don't have any idea how it feels to see your child --
Shawn D.: I know, Mom. I know. I was just so mad about everything that was happening and with dad and you know -- I turned around and -- this is not gonna happen again. It was an accident.
Hope: Maybe we should get you some help.
Shawn D.: No, Mom, I'm fine. I know I had some problems with drinking last year, but I've really got my act together now, especially after Jan stopped drugging me. Everything's fine. I want to be a dad, and that means I'm gonna have to be responsible. I want to be responsible. So, it's fine. If I do get tempted again, I will get help, I promise.
Bo: Okay.
Hope: Good. 'Cause if anything ever happened to you, my God --
Shawn D.: Mom, I'm not going anywhere.
Bo: I don't know if you could hear what we were saying when we were in here before. The doctor said if we came and talked to you, it would help you fight your way back to us. I just wanted you to know that no matter what's going on with the family or anyplace else, that I love you more than my own life. And I'm sorry for what I did to contribute to your being so upset that you almost drank your life away. You said this was an accident.
Shawn D.: It was an accident. But I accept full responsibility for my actions, unlike some people in this family. Dad, you said that you wanted me to fight my way back. If you were so concerned about that, then why the hell did you let Chelsea in here?
Bo: You knew she was here?
Shawn D.: I thought I heard her -- probably praying for me to die.
Bo: Shawn --
Shawn D.: Dad, don't even try and defend her to me, please. I am sorry for what I put you through, but if you lost me last night, it wouldn't have been that big of a deal, right? Because you still would have had your daughter, and that's all you really care about, isn't it?
Hope: Honey, I know that you're probably not thinking very clearly right now, but please, don't do this.
Shawn D.: Mom, you don't have to make excuses for me. I'm not Chelsea. I mean what I say. And dad says one thing, and then his actions -- sometimes it's hard to believe him.
Hope: Your dad asked Chelsea to leave tonight. He told her he didn't want anything to do with her or ever see her again until she's straightened out.
Shawn D.: Really?
Hope: Yeah.
Shawn D.: Because of me?
Bo: I found out something that if I had known before, everything would be different.
Shawn D.: Okay.
Bo: When your mom left town after what happened with Zack, you know that I tried to find her and put our marriage back together. Somehow, Chelsea intercepted my e-mails to your mom and made her think that I wanted this divorce when what I really said that I love her with all my heart and would never give up on us.
Shawn D.: Mom was devastated. She didn't even want me to tell you where she was going. She didn't want to talk to you again.
Bo: And the longer we didn't communicate, the worse things got.
Shawn D.: So, what'd you do when you found out?
Bo: Well, I told Chelsea she was out of my life till she could straighten up and prove to me she can be a decent person.
Shawn D.: Yeah, well...
Hope: Honey, I'll get it. I'll get it for you.
Shawn D.: Thanks. Dad, I don't think that's possible.
Bo: Well, you won't get an argument from me.
Shawn D.: So, now that the two of you know the truth about these e-mails, are you gonna be getting back together?
Mimi: God, I'm the one who deserves to be punished for lying to Shawn about Claire all these months. I'll take whatever happens to me, just please let him live.
E.J.: Here. Stay there. I got it.
Sami: Aah. What did I do? What happened?
E.J.: You released some hot steam.
Sami: God. Ow. Oh, okay. What does it look like?
E.J.: Well, you have a little red mark here on your hand. You've got another one on your neck. It just stops below your ear. Are you in pain?
Sami: It hurts like a sunburn.
E.J.: Yeah, well, you have a first-degree burn. You're very lucky, young lady. This could have been a lot worse.
Sami: E.J., what does my face look like?
E.J.: It looks very pretty.
Sami: I mean about the burn. Is it on my face? Will it --
E.J.: It's totally fine. A little bit of makeup will cover it up. You'll be okay.
Sami: Makeup? I have to cover this? Ow! Oh, God. Oh, my God. How am I supposed to get married like this?
Hope: Well, um, your dad and I have other issues between us other than Chelsea, so until they're resolved, there's really no way we can even consider getting back together.
Bo: I got to prove to your mom that I didn't steal that evidence against Chelsea.
Hope: And if he can do that, well, then we'll talk.
Bo: You mean that?
Hope: I know that there were things that I blamed you for that were out of your control. But even still, there were so many lies, Bo.
Bo: I understand.
Hope: Let's just be thankful that our son's okay, okay?
Bo: Yeah, yeah, I'm thankful. You guys are my family. I'm not gonna lose any more ground with you. The happiest times of my life have been with you and Zack and J.T. I have made mistakes. We all have. And... I'm sorry for the pain it's caused. I'm gonna spend the rest of my life making it up to you. Let's let our son get some rest. Catch you later.
Shawn D.: All right.
Hope: We'll send Mimi in as soon as she gets back from the chapel, okay?
Shawn D.: Thanks, Mom.
Hope: I love you.
Shawn D.: Love you.
Bo: See you soon.
Mimi: Philip, I can explain. Uh, hmm...
Philip: Explain what?
Mimi: I don't know what you just heard.
Philip: What are you talking about and why are you so nervous?
Mimi: Why am I so nervous? My husband is unconscious, Philip.
Philip: No, he's not.
Mimi: Huh? What do you mean?
Philip: That's why I'm here. I came to get you. Shawn just woke up. Lexie says he's gonna be fine. He's fine.
Mimi: Oh!
Philip: It's okay.
Mimi: Oh, thank God.
Philip: It's okay.
Belle: Hey.
Hope: Hey, honey.
Belle: Is he asleep?
Hope: No, not yet.
Belle: Do you think I could go in?
Hope: I don't see why not. Just don't stay too long, okay? He needs some rest.
Belle: Okay, I won’t.
Bo: Oh.
Hope: Hey, Brady.
Bo: Huh?
Hope: Thank you for what you said in there.
Bo: I'm not taking anything for granted. Shawn got a second chance. I'm hoping I'll get one, too.
Hope: Don't you have a wedding to go to?
Bo: Does that mean you're not going?
Hope: Come on. I told you that I wasn’t.
Bo: Ma said you RSVP'ed yes.
Hope: I changed my mind. One of us -- one of us has to stay here with Shawn, for God's sake.
Bo: No, he's gonna be sleeping for God knows how many hours.
Hope: That's true. Want some coffee? Coffee?
Bo: I don't know about you, but after what we went through --
Hope: I know what you're gonna say.
Bo: What?
Hope: And you're right. I don't want to be alone. And I'm definitely not in the mood and don't feel like arguing with you.
Bo: Good.
Hope: I'm not doing this for you, Brady. I'm doing it for your parents because I know it would make them happy.
Bo: Well, good. Ma is kind of upset about the amount of alcohol Shawn got his hands on tonight.
Hope: What are you talking about? She can't blame herself. She wasn't even there.
Bo: Yeah, well, still, kind of hard to live with yourself when something like that happens.
Hope: Yeah. Well, I'm glad that Sami's wedding will be a happy day for the whole family.
Bo: Me too.
Hope: [Chuckles]
Shawn D.: What -- what -- how long have you been standing there?
Belle: Just a couple of minutes. Didn't want to wake you up.
Shawn D.: Actually, I wasn't sleeping. It just hurts less when I keep my eyes closed.
Belle: Yeah. You put yourself through a lot. I'm really glad you're gonna be okay. I don't know what I would have done if I lost you.
Shawn D.: You're not gonna lose me.
Belle: You promised that we were always gonna be a part of each other's lives, and you better have meant it. You are the best friend that I've ever had, and I can't imagine this world without you in it.
Sami: So, you have aloe in your glove box?
E.J.: What can I say? My car is my life. I'm just sorry it's not working very well at the moment.
Sami: It's okay. It's not your fault. Do you think this is gonna help?
E.J.: Sweetheart, these marks are very minor. They're fading already.
Sami: They're not minor, okay? I saw them. Everyone's gonna be able to see them in my dress.
E.J.: What, you mean they're gonna see that you're not quite perfect, that you have a tiny, little blemish?
Sami: Believe me, they know that I'm not perfect. It's just that I wanted everything to -- great, now I sound like Chloe Lane.
E.J.: Who?
Sami: I don't mean to be vain. I just wanted everything to be perfect today for Austin.
E.J.: Samantha, I promise you, everything is gonna work out just fine.
Sami: How can you even say that? We are stranded here with no way to get to the church, E.J.
E.J.: Okay, well, look, I know there's a gas station just down the road.
Sami: Yeah.
E.J.: Why don't we head down there? We could find somebody who could give you a lift to the church.
Sami: Okay, okay, we'll walk.
E.J.: Okay, good, that's the spirit. Look... what else could possibly go wrong, hmm?
[Thunder crashes]
Sami: Oh, no. Oh, my God. Oh, my God, E.J., it's raining!
E.J.: I know.
Sami: It's raining!
Belle: I was so scared that our child was gonna grow up without his or her daddy.
Shawn D.: Well, you don't have to worry about that now. I don't care what Mimi and Philip have to say. I'm gonna be a part of this child's life. No one's gonna stop me. Mmm. Oh, no.
Belle: What? What's wrong?
Shawn D.: Mmm. Aah. It's like the worst hangover ever.
Belle: Oh, yeah. Lexie said you're gonna be dehydrated. Here. You should drink this. Drink, drink.
Shawn D.: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Thank you.
Belle: Look at this.
Shawn D.: Mmm, what is it?
Belle: It's a file with Claire's name on it.
Shawn D.: What's it doing here?
Belle: I don't know. Oh, my God.
Belle: It says that Claire isn't Philip's daughter. She's yours.
E.J.: May I?
Carrie: I guess that Belle and Philip will be here soon.
Chelsea: Oh, I wouldn't count on that.
Philip: Someone has a grudge against us. If the three of you want to sit there and do nothing about it, that's fine, but I'm not gonna stand for it.
