Abby: Okay, everybody sit down. I have a surprise for you.
Abby: For you guys, me, and Jack Jr.
Jack: Ahh, sounds like a Deveraux sandwich -- dare I say a burger.
Abby: Kind of.
Jennifer: All right, do we get to know what it is?
Abby: Well, if I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise, now, would it?
Jack: Look, I'm still pretty weak. You don't want to overwhelm me.
Abby: Dad, look, we're not gonna be going white-water rafting or anything. You're fine.
Jennifer: Hmm, where have I heard those words before?
Jack: Just tell us what the plan is.
Abby: Fine. Well, we are gonna have a family picnic tomorrow.
Jack: Picnic? Look, I don't think I'm up for that yet.
Abby: No, Dad, look, I've cleared it with Lexie, okay? We're not going to any parks. We're just gonna have it in our backyard. I'm gonna lay down blankets, put up the umbrella so you can have shade. I'm gonna fill up J.J.'s kiddie pool. I'm gonna get everybody's favorite foods, and I'm gonna make the Deveraux burgers personally.
Jack: Well, if you're willing to do all of that, then I say it's okay with me.
Abby: Everything is gonna be just like it used to be.
Jennifer: Except I can't go. I have plans with Frankie tomorrow.
Chelsea: Sorry, Max, but I'm gonna have to cancel our date tonight.
Max: Why? What's up?
Chelsea: They're making me pull an extra long shift at the hospital today because they said that I wasted time. Can you believe that? So, I have like an hour for dinner, and then I have to go back to work. This totally sucks.
Max: Well, you got to do what you got to do.
Chelsea: God, I hate this community service. It's so lame.
Max: Look, I'll see you tomorrow, okay?
Chelsea: Yeah, that's assuming that I still get tomorrow off for Sami's wedding. You know, if it weren't for her coming down to the hospital today and bugging me about my little bridesmaid duties, I wouldn't even have to work tonight. I don't even know why I said yes to being in her wedding anyway. Now I can't even have you as a date, and I'm gonna be stuck at the reception table alone with will, drinking little Shirley Temples.
Max: Well, that's assuming there still is a reception.
Chelsea: You're right. There probably won't be. Thanks for making me feel better.
Max: Well, I'm glad I could be of help.
Chelsea: Don't you think that this filing thing could wait until tomorrow? I mean, it's not like I'm trying to solve world hunger or anything. You know what?
Chelsea: I bet you nobody's even gonna be there that late. I bet you I could totally cut out to see you and nobody would even notice that I was gone.
Max: Chelsea --
Billie: Hey. If you miss one hour of community service, they could haul your sorry butt into jail.
Chelsea: Mom, it wasn't scheduled, and I have a date with Max.
Billie: I don't care. Hi, Max. She's gonna have to break the date tonight.
Max: No, I know. I told her the community service is more important.
Billie: Well, good. Could you do me a favor and keep reminding her how important it is? She'll talk to you later.
Chelsea: No, Mom, I wasn't done talking to him.
Billie: Yes, you were.
Chelsea: It is my life. And if I'd rather see Max than go to my stupid little shift, that's my business.
Billie: No, it's the court's business, Chelsea.
Chelsea: I just don't understand why they had to bring this on me now and take away all my summer.
Billie: Whoa, hold on a second. Didn't we just have a really good talk about this? Weren't you gonna have a better attitude?
Chelsea: Yeah, I'll have a better attitude when Lexie Carver has a better attitude.
Billie: Hey, listen to me. Lexie Carver raised Zack as her own son, so if she is giving you a little bit of a tough time, try and understand, okay? Let's get a table.
Billie: All right, do you want to eat something? Huh?
Chelsea: I could have done it, you know. I could have snuck out, and nobody would have noticed that I was gone.
Billie: Oh, trust me, they'd notice. See, I've been arrested, and I've been a cop. And it is your parole officer's job to know when you're not there. Chelsea, why are you having such a tough time with this?
Chelsea: Mom, no matter what you say, doing good deeds or whatever -- that's not gonna make me feel any less sorry for killing Zack. And it's definitely not gonna bring him back to life.
Billie: Well, it could help turn your life around. Why don't you even just think about giving this a try?
Chelsea: Because I don't waste my time with stuff that I know is just complete bull.
Billie: Well, this may come as a shock to you, Chelsea, but you don't know everything.
Mimi: Thanks for agreeing to talk about the custody arrangements.
Belle: I thought we decided we were gonna talk about it tomorrow.
Shawn D.: That's right, we did.
Mimi: Well, you promised your grandmother we would be at Sami and Austin's wedding tomorrow.
Belle: Then we should talk about it the day after. It's not like anyone's giving birth yet.
Mimi: I don't care. I want to get this settled now.
Philip: Mimi's right. The sooner we decide what role we're gonna have in raising these two kids, the sooner we can get on with our own lives.
Philip: So, what do you say?
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Chelsea: Mom, I know that I may not know everything, but I also know that filing hospital records at the hospital is boring. And I know that it's not gonna make me any better of a person.
Lexie: Oh, Billie, hi.
Billie: Hi, Lexie.
Lexie: Hey, Chelsea. Well, looks like we all had the same idea about where to have dinner, huh?
Billie: Wow, well, gosh, why don't you join us, Lexie? Oh, come on. I insist. Sit down.
Lexie: Uh...okay. Thanks.
Lisa: Well, what can I get you all?
Billie: Oh, I would love a caesar salad with chicken, please, and coffee..
Lexie: The same, please. Thanks.
Chelsea: I'll have a burger deluxe, please.
Billie: I wish I could eat like that.
Lexie: Uh-huh. I know.
Billie: So, how have you been?
Lexie: Goodness, I have been so swamped. I don't know when I've last had a day off. Human resources screwed up and approved three too many simultaneous vacations, so I'm doing extra shifts to help lighten the load, you know?
Billie: Actually, I wasn't talking about work. I was talking about you and Abe.
Lexie: Oh, uh... there is no me and Abe. He moved out.
Billie: Oh, Lexie, I'm so sorry. But, hey, that doesn't mean that you two still can't work things out.
Lexie: We can't work things out if I can't even get him to talk to me.
Chelsea: Well, it looks like now's your chance.
Abe: Hey, Billie.
Abe: Chelsea. Well, have a nice dinner, huh?
Mimi: All right, so, I've been doing a lot of thinking about all of this.. Obviously it is not going to be easy for anyone. But what seems to make the most sense is for Shawn and me to raise the baby that the surrogate is carrying, the one that is biologically mine and Philip's, and for you two to raise the baby that is biologically yours and Shawn's since you are giving birth to it, right?
Philip: That's right.
Mimi: But we can also set up that there are a certain specified number of hours a month that Shawn and Philip can have with their biological children.
Philip: That makes sense.
Mimi: And of course, we can also agree to be each other's first-choice babysitters, which would add bonus time for the dads to be with their biological kids. I mean, obviously that wouldn't be any kind of set schedule.
Belle: You've really thought this through.
Mimi: Yes, I have.
Shawn D.: Maybe you thought about it a little too much.
Mimi: Shawn, I thought we agreed that we needed to come up with a custody or visitation plan. You even agreed to talk to a lawyer about making it official.
Shawn D.: Yeah, I also said I didn't think that it was necessary.
Mimi: Well, given everything that's happened, I do.
Philip: So do I.
Shawn D.: And I understand that, and I appreciate it. I really do, but when these babies are born, who knows? We might all start to think differently and have new ideas.
Belle: Yeah, we might have new ideas right now. I'm not trying to be difficult, but, you know, it would have been nice if you would have talked to us about all of this before you sat down and mapped out our whole futures.
Philip: Considering what a mess this is, what a ridiculous mess, I think what Mimi's suggesting is pretty fair.
Shawn D.: Yeah, well, of course you do because you don't want me anywhere near your wife or my child.
Philip: You know what? You're right. I donít.
Lexie: He didn't even say hello.
Billie: He's just angry about what happened with you and Tek. I'm not judging you at all, but it's understandable.
Lexie: No, you're right, it is.
Billie: Well, so, that doesn't mean you have to sit here and feel sorry for yourself.
Lexie: Billie, he didn't even acknowledge my presence.
Billie: And that had to have hurt, but you still love him, don't you?
Lexie: You know I do.
Billie: Okay, okay, then Chelsea's right. This is your chance. Swallow your pride, go over there, and talk to him.
Lexie: Why? So he can humiliate me some more? No. No. He made it perfectly clear he wants nothing to do with me.
Billie: Okay, listen to me. The Lexie I know is not a quitter. The Lexie I know, who is my friend, would never give up on her husband without a fight. You two are an inspiration to me. I only wish that I had the kind of love you have.
Lexie: Well, don't wish too hard, okay?
Billie: I know you're going through a rough time, but you two have been through rough times in the past, and you've always managed to work things out.
Lexie: Well, this one's different.
Billie: Okay, maybe, but not different like it's impossible. No, you just told me you still loved him.
Lexie: I do, but I-I don't think he loves me anymore.
Billie: Oh, I think he does because otherwise he wouldn't be hurting so much. He would have been able to come over to this table and say hello to everyone because it wouldn't have meant anything.
Lexie: Okay, look -- look, either way, he is never gonna forgive me, Billie. When he walked in on me and Tek, oh, my God, the look on his face. I hurt him so much, Billie.. I wish I could undo it, but I canít. You know, I'm just gonna have to pay for this for the rest of my life.
Chelsea: Yep, I know how that feels.
Lexie: I guess you do, Chelsea.
Chelsea: Hmm. I didn't think anybody like you would ever understand how I felt.
Lexie: Hmm. Let me tell you a story. A long time ago, I also made a huge mistake with Zack. When he was a baby, I kept him away from his parents. I hurt Bo and Hope terribly. But eventually, they forgave me. Chelsea, I am going to make a real effort to not be so hard on you in the future.
Lexie: Yeah, yeah, really, if you will promise me that you'll make an effort to really make your community service count, okay?
Chelsea: Yeah, okay.
Billie: Now, you see? Do you see how you just reached out to Chelsea like that? What makes you think that Abe can't reach out to you, the woman he loves?
Billie: No, listen to me. Lexie, he is human. We are human. We're all human. We make mistakes. And, yes, everything we do has consequences, but they're not written in stone.
Lexie: Billie --
Billie: Take it from me. I have had to learn the hard way that when I try and make amends for what I do, sometimes it works out -- I mean, not always, but sometimes. The only thing I have to realize is I have to be willing to take the first step.
Abby: What do you mean you have other plans with Frankie?
Jennifer: Abigail, tomorrow is Sami and Austin's wedding.
Abby: Yeah, and you're gonna go?
Jennifer: Yes, I'm going to go. Sami is Frankie's niece, and she was a very good friend to your father. And I need to be there since your dad can't be.
Abby: Yeah, you're gonna represent him by taking your other husband as your date. Look, come on, Mom. The wedding's probably not gonna happen anyways, just like all her other ones.
Jennifer: Abigail, people change, okay?
Abby: Yeah, not Sami.
Jennifer: You know what? I did not raise you like this.
Abby: Mom, even if it does happen, okay, I can't believe you would even think about going to a party when you know that dad is still sick. Lexie said he's not in remission yet. He could still die. Don't you want to spend every minute you can with him?
Jennifer: That is so unfair that you are saying that --
Abby: No, you know what? This could be our last family outing, and it must be more important to you to go to another one of her weddings.
Jennifer: You know, maybe you're right. I shouldn't go.
Jack: No, no, she's not. No. You go to the wedding with Frankie. You give them our best wishes from all of us.
Jennifer: Are you sure? Because I don't have to go.
Jack: I'm sure, Jennifer.
Abby: No, Dad, I already planned this picnic.
Jack: I'll tell you what -- we'll plan another picnic. It was a good plan, but your mother has made a previous engagement. We have to honor our commitments.
Abby: So, it seems like that's more important than us.
Jack: Look, we'll plan another picnic.
Abby: Assuming you're still here.
Jack: I'm not going anywhere. I'll be right here.
Abby: Look, I know. I just...
Jack: Look -- look. We will have a picnic just for you and me and Jack Jr. -- Just the three of us.
Abby: No, it wasn't supposed to be for us. It was supposed to be for you and mom.
Jack: I see.
Abby: And now it's ruined.
Jack: No, it's not ruined.
Abby: No, you know what? Just forget it, okay? If you guys don't care about it, then I am just gonna go down to the track with E.J. tomorrow.
Jack: E.J. -- That would be E.J. Wells?
Abby: Yeah, do you know him?
Jack: Maybe I do. And I don't want you anywhere near him.
Chelsea: I should probably get back to the hospital, and I don't want to be late.
Billie: No, you do not.
Lexie: Oh, sorry.
Chelsea: That's okay. Thanks.
Lexie: Okay, see you later.
Chelsea: Bye, guys.
Chelsea: See ya.
Billie: Hey. You've been staring at him throughout the whole dinner.
Lexie: I've been thinking about what you said about not giving up, about Abe still caring.
Billie: Good. Good, then go over there before it's too late, before he leaves.
Lexie: Wish me luck.
Billie: Good luck.
Lexie: Mmm. That looks good. Mind if I sit down? How have you been?
Abe: Do you really care?
Lexie: Yes, Abe, I do. I miss you so much. Theo misses you, too. He keeps forgetting that you're not there. You know, this morning, he made the most amazing fort. Well, I promised him that we could leave it up until he gets a chance to show it to you.
Abe: Don't do this, Lexie.
Lexie: Don't do what?
Abe: I hate being away from Theo, so don't use him to try to get back on my good side and my good graces.
Lexie: I'm not. I just thought that maybe you'd want to know how much your little boy misses you.
Abe: And I miss him. But that's all going to change very soon.
Lexie: What do you mean?
Abe: I'm putting a bid on a townhouse near Salem Park. It's got a small yard. There's enough room for a swing set and a sandbox, a lot of kids Theo's age in the neighborhood. It'll be the perfect home for the two of us once the courts grant me sole custody.
Shawn D.: You better get used to it because there's no way I'm not gonna be around my child.
Philip: I'm talking about Belle, and you know exactly what I am saying.
Belle: You guys, please.
Shawn D.: I told you this wasn't gonna work.
Mimi: It has to work.
Shawn D.: Forget it.
Philip: Mimi is trying to do something here that's gonna benefit all of us, all four of us.
Shawn D.: But she canít. You can't do it with this situation. There's no way we can set up rules for these kids. What if when Belle has my child, I hear her crying? We all know how thin these walls are. Am I supposed to just ignore it because the custody says it's not my day to visit?
Philip: No, you're supposed to ignore it because I will be the baby's father.
Shawn D.: The hell you will.
Philip: You think this is easy on me to know that my child is gonna be raised by you?
Belle: All right, you guys, just stop.
Mimi: Yeah, stop. Everyone, please, okay? No one is going to deny anyone access to their children, but there have to be some kind of boundaries, which is why I wanted to set up this custody arrangement in the first place. I mean, look at us. Look at the fighting that's already going on, and the babies aren't even born yet. How much more emotional do you think we're going to be once they're here? Is this the kind of environment you want our children being raised in?
Shawn D.: There's no way I'm giving in on this.
Max: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you. I was on my way to the pub.. I was just gonna make sure that you weren't gonna play hooky from your community service.
Chelsea: Oh, thanks for the vote of confidence.
Max: Look, Chelsea, it's important, all right? I don't want you to go to jail.
Chelsea: I know. Billie said that if I start doing good deeds, maybe it'll change my life around.
Max: Well, maybe it will.
Chelsea: No, nothing in my life ever goes right.
Max: Nothing? Nothing?
Chelsea: Okay. I have you. But for how long? Max, anybody in my life that's ever cared about me -- not that there's been that many, but -- they always leave me. How can I be sure that you won't, too?
Max: I know you're just trying to protect yourself, Chelsea. I get that. But what you're really doing is you're making yourself even more miserable. I'm right, aren't I?
Shawn D.: I'm not agreeing to any custody arrangement, not like this. Deciding who's gonna raise this child -- that's one thing. But no one is gonna tell me when and how often I can see my child, especially when Philip doesn't want me in this baby's life at all. And I don't care whose house this baby is in, it's still mine.
Mimi: Where are you going?
Shawn D.: To get some air.
Belle: You two are making a huge mistake by pushing this custody arrangement.
Philip: We have just as much right to determine what happens with these babies as you and Shawn do.
Belle: I'm not saying that you don't, but you don't seem to have as big of a problem giving up your biological child as he does.
Philip: First of all, I'm not giving up my child. But this isn't about babies, do you understand that? This is about you and Shawn. Everything seems to be about you and Shawn.
Belle: Oh, God, Philip, wait.
Lexie: Abe, before you go through with this divorce, before you try to get custody of Theo, please think about what you would be throwing away.
Abe: You're the one that should have thought about what you were throwing away before you jumped into bed with Tek.
Lexie: You're right. I should have. I was weak. Abe, it wasn't easy for me. I thought you were dead. And when you came back --
Abe: Yes, I couldn't have sex with you, so you went out and got somebody who could.
Lexie: No, no, that is not how it was. I love you so much, but you just kept pushing me away.
Abe: You know, if you loved me half as much as you say, then you would have had some patience.
Lexie: I tried, Abe! I tried, but you're the one who didn't want to be alone with me.
Abe: Whoa, whoa, whoa. So now this is all my fault? Now this is my fault?
Lexie: No. No. No, it's all mine. Is there anything that I can do to make this right?
Abe: Yeah. Yes. Get an attorney.
Max: Look, Chelsea, the reason why I understand where you're coming from is because I've been there. You think it hurts when your parents die? How do you think it feels when they just don't want you? My parents abandoned me, Chelsea. And when Frankie and I got adopted, my whole world just got turned upside down.
Chelsea: It did?
Chelsea: I thought you said it was the best thing that ever happened to you, Max.
Max: No, it was. Now suddenly I'm in this big family that's all about hugging and talking and wanting to know how you're feeling. And I just didn't think that it would last. Like I said before, after everything that happened to me, I just shut down. And that was my way of rebelling -- just stop talking about everything. And it didn't change when I went to the Bradyís', not at first... because I thought that if I didn't let them in, if I didn't let anyone get too close to me, that when they did abandon me, just like my family did, it wouldn't hurt so much. It's kind of like pushing away all the good stuff, isn't it?
Chelsea: I guess so.
Max: Chelsea, I understand where you're coming from because I've lived it. And maybe that's what's attracted me to you in the first place -- because we have so much alike, that I met someone who understands it and gets it, and I don't have to explain it all.
Chelsea: I do get it. Max, you're the best thing that's happened to me in forever. I just hope that I don't scare you away.
Max: It doesn't matter how hard you try to push me away. I'm not going anywhere, whether you like it or not.
Chelsea: Thank you.
Billie: What happened?
Lexie: [Sniffles] I-I didn't really expect Abe to forgive me, but I was hoping that he would at least be willing to talk, but he wasnít. He not only wants a divorce, but he is determined to get sole custody of Theo.
Billie: Oh, I never should have pushed you to come over here. I am so sorry.
Lexie: No, no, no, it's okay. It's best to know what's really going on than to live a fantasy.
Billie: I'm sorry, Lexie.
Lexie: Look, I have to get back to the hospital. Would you excuse me?
Abe: Oh, yeah, there you are, Andy. Yeah, it's Abe Carver. Look, I'm ready to move forward on the divorce. I don't care what it takes. I want sole custody of Theo. I'll come by and sign whatever papers you need.
Billie: Hey. Let me walk with you to the hospital.
Shawn D.: Lisa, hey, are my grandparents here?
Lisa: No, they're at the church getting ready for Sami's wedding.
Shawn D.: Of course they are.
Abe: Hey, Shawn.
Shawn D.: Abe.
Abe: Hey, can I buy you a beer?
Shawn D.: Yes, yes, you can.
Abe: Hey... I heard about that mix-up at the fertility clinic. That's a hell of a mess. I'm really sorry.
Shawn D.: Yeah. Yep, it gets worse every day, too. I don't know what they expect me to say. Thank you, Lisa. "Yeah, sure, I'll go ahead, raise Philip's kid and he can raise mine. That's fine." How do they expect me to just turn my back on my own flesh and blood?
Abe: That's a good question.
Shawn D.: Then it gets even more interesting. If I stay involved in Belle's life and the baby's, then I just play into Mimi's worst fear. And I love her. I don't want to do that..
Abe: You know, whether you're married to the mother or not, you've got to be there for him or her. I mean, it's the same way that I still have to be there for Theo.
Shawn D.: So it's true you and Lexie are getting a divorce.
Abe: Yeah, but I'm not gonna lose my son. Look, our situations are different, Shawn, but if I were you, I would fight for the right to play an active part in my child's life because nothing -- nothing's more important.
Mimi: Don't worry. I'll just gather my things and be out of here.
Belle: You don't have to rush.
Mimi: Yes, you see, Belle, I do, because I don't feel particularly warm and fuzzy here.
Belle: Mimi, come on. We are friends.
Mimi: I thought we were friends. But stupid me. I thought a lot of things, like all that about you saying goodbye to Shawn.
Belle: I said goodbye to Shawn.
Mimi: Really? 'Cause it didn't seem like it just now. It looked like you were doing everything in your power to hold on to him.
Belle: Just because I agree with him about the custody agreement does not mean that I'm trying to hold on to him.
Mimi: Could have fooled me. Could have fooled your husband, too.
Belle: Whether you believe it or not, Shawn and I are over. I am committed to my marriage to Philip.
Mimi: Then why didn't you agree to the custody arrangements, Belle?
Belle: Because it's a bad idea for the babies, Mimi -- yours and mine. They deserve to know who their biological fathers are. And their fathers deserve to be as much a part of their lives as they want to be -- both of them. Keeping Shawn away from his child is wrong, Mimi, and so is keeping Philip from his, and you know it.
Mimi: And you know that Philip isn't the problem here. Shawn is, and your feelings for him are.
Belle: How many times do I have to tell you? That's over.
Mimi: Well, Belle, maybe it would be a little easier for me to believe if you hadn't thrown yourself at him at the hospital last night.
Belle: You're right. That was a mistake.
Mimi: So, why am I supposed to believe that it won't happen again? Why am I supposed to believe that you won't use this baby to try to get my husband back?
Belle: I'm telling you, I wonít.
Mimi: Well, you know what? You also told me that we were friends, but friends don't do what you did. Friends don't try to steal their friend's husband. So, you know what? If that hadn't happened, maybe, yeah, maybe I would take the wait-and-see approach. But you've already burned me, Belle, and I will not take the chance of you burning me again. I will not risk my marriage to make your life easier.
Belle: You need to be thinking about the babies, Mimi. Do you know how confusing this is gonna be for them?
Mimi: Well, it doesn't have to be, not if we're clear with them about who their fathers are from the start.
Belle: Right, and then not let their fathers see them.
Mimi: Ask any adopted kid, Belle. Is their father the man who donated the sperm or the man that is raising them? Honestly, if you ask me, I think it would be best if we never told them the truth about this mess because that's what would be confusing.
Abby: Look, I know you've been away for a while, Dad, but I think I'm a little too old for you to be telling me who I can and can't hang out with.
Jack: You're never too old for me to stop you from making a bad choice.
Jennifer: I have met E.J. Wells a few times. He seems like a nice person --
Jack: Yes, if you're a woman.
Abby: Yeah, what is that supposed to mean?
Jack: It means I know E.J. Wells from Europe, where I was covering the racing circuit for the A.P.
Jennifer: I didn't know you did that, Jack.
Jack: It wasn't one of my finer moments -- for him, either, as a matter of fact. He uses women like Kleenex. In fact, I'm sure he'd like to add you to his tissue collection.
Abby: I'm not a baby, Dad. I know how to control myself in front of guys..
Jack: How about in front of a playboy? The guy's 10 years older than you.. What are you thinking?
Abby: Maybe I'm not thinking, just like mom's not thinking with Frankie. We're just a couple of girls being controlled by hormones. Like mother, like daughter, right, Mom?
Lexie: Ahh, Chelsea. Are you back on duty?
Chelsea: Yeah, I've been back for a while.
Lexie: Good. These records need to be filed after they are coded, okay?
Chelsea: Mm-hmm. You know, it's the 21st century. Hasn't anybody ever thought of putting this stuff on discs?
Lexie: What a terrific idea. That can be your next project.
Lexie: Yeah, but first code and file them.
Chelsea: I'll get right on it... right after I make a phone call.
Chelsea: Hey, it's me.
Abby: Hey. Why'd it come up as "unknown caller"?
Chelsea: Oh, I'm calling from the nurse's phone at the hospital. What's wrong? You sound upset.
Abby: My parents are what's wrong.
Chelsea: What happened?
Abby: Look, just meet me at the Java Cafť, and I'll tell you about the whole disgusting story.
Chelsea: I canít. I'm still coding and filing. Talk about boring with a capital "B."
Abby: Your shift isn't over yet?
Chelsea: Nope. It was supposed to be. I had to cancel my date with Max.
Abby: I'm sorry.
Chelsea: Yeah, it's okay. I saw him at the pier. Abby, he was so cute. He really gets me. He promised that he'd stick by me, no matter what.
Abby: That's great.
Chelsea: Yeah, and I promised that I'd stick with this, no matter how boring it is.
Abby: Look, I'm really proud of you, Chels.
Chelsea: Oh, thanks. So, what happened with your parents?
Abby: Aren't you still working?
Chelsea: Abby, I can code and file while I listen. Come on, you know you need to vent.
Abby: Okay, see, I had this whole picnic planned for tomorrow to get my mom's mind off Frankie and back on dad, you know?
Abby: And she says that she can't go because she's gonna go with Frankie to Sami Brady's wedding. Could you believe that? When I try to say anything, my dad takes her side. And then he tells me that I can't even hang out with E.J.
Jennifer: Look, Jack, I don't blame Abigail for being upset.
Jack: With me?
Jennifer: No, no, with both of us.
Jack: Well, that worries me even more. I mean, around the likes of E.J. Wells... she's usually levelheaded, but now she could really get herself into a lot of trouble.
Shawn D.: Well, thank you for the advice, Abe.
Abe: Well, anytime. Good luck, huh?
Shawn D.: Yeah, you too.
Abe: All right. Take care, man.
Shawn D.: All right. Lisa, can I get a shot, please? Tequila.
Philip: Why don't you make it two?
Belle: You don't want to tell the babies who their biological fathers are?
Mimi: Why should they know? I mean, like I said, it would just confuse them.
Belle: Because they deserve to know, and they deserve to hear it from us..
Mimi: You know what, Belle? Lots of kids grew up not knowing who their biological dads were, and they turned out just fine.
Belle: When I was born, my mother thought that I was Roman Brady's daughter. And Sami Brady, my sister, tried to keep it from me that my dad was my dad.
Mimi: And your point is?
Belle: Well, I wonder what my life would have been like if my mother hadn't found out the truth when she did. I would have spent my entire life as Roman Brady's daughter and then just accidentally found out that I wasnít.
Mimi: Well, maybe you never would have found out.
Belle: I would have found out eventually, and so will the babies.
Mimi: Not necessarily.
Belle: Mimi, half of Salem already knows that the fertility lab mixed up.. And the babies will, too, whether we tell them or not. And I am not gonna do that to them. They will know the truth from the very beginning.
Mimi: Okay, even if they do know the truth, how is that gonna help them?
Belle: Well, it's not gonna hurt them.
Mimi: How are we gonna get out of this mess, Belle?
Abby: Can you believe that? I mean, he actually thinks that he can tell me who I can and can't hang out with, like I'm some little kid or something.
Chelsea: Holy... I can't believe this.
Abby: Chelsea, what? Are you even listening to me?
Chelsea: Abby, you're never gonna guess what I just found in a file.
Chelsea: This community service thing is paying off after all.
Abby: Chelsea, what are you talking about?
Chelsea: I'm talking about how things just got really interesting really fast.
Shawn D.: Don't blow it, man. 'Cause you got, like, everything a man could ever want.
Philip: Except for one thing.
Hope: Shawn loves you. He tells me all the time how much you mean to him, that he trusts you more than anyone in the world.
Bo: I found out what you did. It's time to pay up.
