John: All right, place is all cleaned up. I got the coffee and the croissants and the fresh fruit. Come to me, baby.
Marlena: I'm home. [Laughter]
John: Uh-huh, stay right there. I've been missing you like crazy, woman.
Marlena: Oh, me too. Me too.
John: I know it's only been a couple days, but I've been missing you like crazy. I just hated leaving you in New York all by yourself.
Marlena: You know what? The first night it was kind of scary. I know it was silly, but it was the Alex thing, I guess.
John: Yeah, yeah. You okay?
Marlena: Yeah, yeah. I'm okay.
John: Okay, good.
Marlena: I'm okay. The seminars were just hugely impactful, you know. I knew -- I knew I would learn a lot as a therapist, but...I learned so much about myself.
John: Good, I'm glad it was worthwhile, then.
Marlena: I-I'd kind of begun to, I don't know, have doubts about myself and my career. And, of course, that time with you in Green Mountain -- oh, my gosh -- in Europe. Oh, it was so perfect, and then I knew it would be hard coming back here to reality, having to face what happened here, you know, with Alex -- all the verbal and physical abuse.
John: You know, I'm beginning to think maybe I should have stayed with you in New York.
Marlena: No, no, no. I had to go through that all by myself.
Marlena: I'm so sorry...for how much I put you through.
John: Stop, it's not your fault. You were a victim. I know a little something about that myself. It's over. It's all over. It's over. Now I can concentrate on taking care of you the way I should. Damn, I'm so glad that you're home.
Belle: I will definitely second that.
John: [Laughs] And who is that?
Belle: Hi, Mom.
Marlena: Oh, baby girl. Oh, my girl!
[Knock on door]
Abby: Is this a bad time?
Shawn D.: Um, actually, yeah. Yeah, it is kind of a bad time, but that's all right. I heard that there was some news last night.
Abby: You mean about my dad.
Shawn D.: Yeah, yeah. How is he doing?
Abby: Well, he's doing great. His fever broke, and Lexie said he can go into remission if the drugs keep working, so...
Shawn D.: That's great.
Shawn D.: Wow, I'm glad to hear it. What brings you down to the garage?
Abby: I need a job.
Shawn D.: Don't tell me you want to become a race car driver, too?
Abby: No, I was thinking more like office work. You know, I was here the other day with Chelsea, and it looks like you need some help on filing your papers.
Shawn D.: I don't know what you're talking about. This is all exactly where it's supposed to be. Actually, this is a mess, but it's all paperwork for the patent.
Abby: Well, I don't know anything about engines, but I do type 60 words a minute and I make great coffee.
Shawn D.: Really? That -- I'm sold. That sounds good to me, but I have to talk to Max first. Um, he actually stepped out for a minute, but he'll be back pretty soon. Can you hang out?
Abby: Yeah, sure. Hey, Mimi.
Abby: You know, I'm gonna go wait in the garage.
Shawn D.: Hey.
Shawn D.: I wasn't expecting to see you down here this morning. What brings you here?
Mimi: I woke up and you were gone.
Shawn D.: Yeah, well, I had to get to work. I -- I --
Austin: Samantha, have you found that prospectus yet?
Sami: No, I'm still looking. And I know it was sitting right here last night before Carrie and Lucas moved in with us.
Austin: So what now? They're responsible for papers missing? They slept on the desk, inside drawers?
Sami: No, no, of course not, but they are the competition.
Austin: They wouldn't steal from us.
Sami: That's debatable.
Austin: Be honest. When you say our competition, this is more about Carrie than it is about Lucas. It's more about her being under the same roof with me.
Sami: No, actually, it's not, Austin. It just upsets me that you invited them to move in with us without checking with me first. We're supposed to be making these decisions together, remember?
Austin: I know. I know, I'm sorry.
Sami: I would have said yes.
Austin: No, I understand. I understand. Everything's a little tight right now. We can't kick them out. You know, their apartment is still in bad shape because of the fire. We just have to learn to, I don't know, find a way to cohabit a little while longer.
Lucas: Not to worry, all right? Guys, we're moving out.
Sami: [Clears throat] How much did you overhear? We were just talking between us. We didn't mean for you to hear what we said.
Lucas: It's fine. It has nothing to do with what you said. It's time for us to go.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Austin: You don't have to leave.
Lucas: I think it's for the best.
Sami: Where will you stay?
Lucas: Well, we're not too sure. We'll have to find a hotel or something..
Austin: Well, come on. That's ridiculous. We told you, you could stay here as long you needed a place.
Lucas: Yeah, I know. I know, but the contractor's giving us the runaround. You know, he's taking forever. He doesn't return our calls a lot, and he hasn't painted yet. We haven't seen samples. It's gonna take forever. He said originally it was gonna take a couple days, but it's probably gonna be a couple weeks. We can't impose anymore.
Austin: That's okay.
Carrie: It's not okay. We heard you, Austin. We're getting on your nerves.
Sami: Hold everything. That is not what I said, Carrie.
Carrie: Well, you know, this is a small apartment, and it's your office space, too. It's too much. It's not like we're poor. We'll find a place, and you've both been extremely generous. Don't worry about us.
Lucas: Thank you. [Knock on door]
E.J.: Pardon me. Sorry, the door was open. I couldn't help hearing about your dilemma and I have a proposal -- one I think you might like.
Belle: So, how are you?
Marlena: Gosh, I'm -- I'm -- I'm doing better.
John: Yeah, we're fine. The question is, how are you?
Belle: Well, a lot's changed since you've been gone.
John: Claire isn't sick, is she?
Belle: No, she's fine. We're all fine, healthwise. Well, Philip had an accident, but, um...
Marlena: What is it, Belle?
Belle: I'm pregnant.
John: Oh, that's great, baby.
Marlena: Wow. Wow, Philip must be thrilled, huh?
Belle: Yeah, well, that's the thing. Um, Philip's not the father. Shawn is.
Shawn D.: Hon, you have no idea how bad I want to do this right now, but I-I -- it's probably inappropriate at work. Actually, I have a lot of paperwork I have to do.
Mimi: Oh, well, I hate to burst your bubble, but that's not really what I was shooting for. But I will take a rain check.
Shawn D.: Okay. Well, that sounds good. Listen -- I am so sorry about what happened yesterday at the hospital. I-I don't what to say. Belle and I -- we were so relieved that the baby was okay, and --
Mimi: You already explained.
Shawn D.: I know I did. I just -- I feel like I have to explain again. I should have never let things go as far as they did. You know that I'm totally committed to you, right?
Mimi: I believe you, okay? And commitment can get you through a hell of a lot. But it doesn't really mean anything if there's no love.
Shawn D.: I love you. You know that, right?
Mimi: I know you love me. But I'm just afraid that you love Belle more and you always will.
Shawn D.: Hon...you were the one for me. I would not have married you if I felt otherwise, and I hope you wouldn't have married me if you felt differently. All I want -- all I want -- the most important thing to me is to have a good marriage, and all we have to do is believe in each other.
Mimi: I trust you. I just...absolutely do not trust Belle, not after all the things that she wrote in her diary, all the things that she said to you, and now she's pregnant with your baby. The next time she gets all emotional and throws herself at you, what are you gonna do, Shawn?
Shawn D.: You know, if Philip had been there, she would have gone to him, but she was all alone with this news and she had nobody to lean on. I -- what I love about you...is how different you are, and you're spontaneous and you're fun.
Mimi: I used to be those things.
Shawn D.: No, you still are. Come here. Come here. With everything that you have been through in your life and the way you are now, you inspire me. You know that, right?
Mimi: You inspire me.
Shawn D.: I love you and I want you to be secure in our relationship, so just tell me, 'cause I'll do it -- anything to make you feel more secure about us and our future.
Mimi: Actually, now that you mention it... there is something you can do..
Marlena: Oh, thank you.
Belle: So, we don't really know how it happened. All we know is that my egg got fertilized with Shawn's sperm and Mimi's egg got fertilized with Philip's.
Marlena: I just find that so hard to believe. Salem University has one of the finest infertility teams in the country. Is Dr. Jaynes still in charge?
Belle: Yeah, he was our doctor. And the Kiriakis Foundation is sponsoring his research, so now Philip's suing him.
Marlena: But they have so many safeguards in place. It's almost impossible for this to happen.
Belle: I know. You know, Philip actually is saying that maybe it wasn't an accident.
John: What do you mean?
Belle: I don't know. Maybe he thinks I did it.
John: Now, why would he say that?
Belle: Dad, he was so angry when he found out about the mix-up, that he actually asked Mimi's surrogate and me to have an abortion. I mean, I couldn't do that. So then he got all angry that I wouldn't and he ran off and wrecked Max's race car. He could have killed himself.
John: Let me ask you something, baby. Does Philip think that you want to be pregnant with Shawn's baby?
Belle: He does. I know it's awful, but I am happy that things turned out this way. Oh, what? You know how I feel. You know how I've always felt about Shawn.
John: Yeah, yeah, yeah, but listen -- I thought you and Philip were working this marriage out.
Belle: We are trying to make our marriage work. But, Mom, you remember what you said to me when we were at the hospital, when Claire was sick?
Marlena: Oh, Belle, you can't -- you can't think about that. I wasn't myself. I was so ill then. It was the amnesia.
Belle: Okay, all right, well, even so, you saw how much I still love Shawn, and you were right. I do love him. And I realized just how much when I found out I was pregnant with his baby. We are gonna be connected for the rest of our lives, just like you and dad when I was born. And I really think...I really think that this is a sign that Shawn and I are meant to be together.
E.J.: I heard you say your contractor won't complete the apartment renovations. Why don't you let me help? I've flipped a few houses in my time. I'd be happy to offer you some of my expertise. We would really speed things along.
Carrie: Well, that's very sweet of you, E.J., but don't you already have two full-time careers? Aren't you a little busy?
E.J.: You've all been extremely kind to me since I came to Salem, and if I can find a way to repay you, I'm very happy to be able to.
Carrie: But you're like this international celebrity. We don't want you painting our bathroom.
Sami: Oh, come on, Carrie. He's offering to help. You should take him up on it.
Lucas: Yeah, Will is coming back from camp soon and I'd hate for him to be in a hotel when he starts school.
E.J.: Okay, well, sounds like we have a plan.
Lucas: I guess you just convinced me. It didn't take that much, but you convinced me. You sure you know what you're doing, right?
E.J.: I do.
Lucas: Okay, well, good. Let's go check out the apartment, see if you can help.
Lucas: Thank you. We'll be back, all right?
Sami: I'll show you all out. E.J., thank you. [Grunts] Thank God they're gone. See? Now Carrie and Lucas have a place to stay. They will be out of our hair.
Austin: Yeah, I guess so.
Sami: What do you mean, Austin? It sounds like you're almost disappointed that they're leaving.
Mimi: I know you can't do anything about it, but, obviously, I'm having a really hard time with Belle being pregnant with your baby.
Shawn D.: Well, it's a tough situation for all of us, not to mention how the kids are gonna deal with this when they get older. We just have to make the best out of a really tough situation.
Mimi: I want to do more than that.
Shawn D.: What do you mean?
Mimi: I don't want this to drag on and on, Shawn. I don't want to wait and see how everything works out, when God knows what Belle's hormones are gonna tell her to do next.
Shawn D.: Okay.
Mimi: I want a court to decide in advance what the custody arrangements will be for both babies.
Shawn D.: Are you serious?
Mimi: Yes, I'm serious. I need peace of mind that Belle is not going to try to use this baby to get you back.
Marlena: Belle, I can understand how you might think that being pregnant with Shawn's child is a sign that you're meant to be together. But it's not. It's a mistake. It was an accident. Honey, Shawn is married. He's with somebody else now.
Belle: He doesn't love her the way he loves me.
John: Baby, I know what it's like to see the person you love with somebody else. But the fact is, Shawn made it very clear to you, didn't he? He loves Mimi. His life is with her, not you.
Marlena: You need to listen to your father, Belle. And baby or no baby....you've got to find some way to come to terms with this. Shawn is no longer yours to love, not anymore. You have to move on.
John: With a husband who loves you -- that beautiful baby little girl and another one on the way here.
Belle: I know.
Marlena: Oh, Belle. Belle, we're just trying to help you.
Belle: I know. I just -- I think the hardest part about all of this is.... I have just missed having you both here.
Marlena: I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
Belle: Don't be. It's not your fault. It's mine. I have made a mess of everything. But, you know, I think about the fact that you were married to Roman. You had a family with him, with Carrie and Eric and Sami, and then you and dad and Brady and I -- we were a family, too, and we were happy. And I know that you're gonna try and tell me not to do what you did, but you can't honestly say that it was a mistake, can you?
John: No, of course not.
Belle: 'Cause I know you're my parents and you're trying to tell me what you think that I need to hear, but Shawn was my high-school sweetheart. And then he broke my heart and I tried to move on with Philip. But how am I supposed to do that when I am pregnant with Shawn's baby?
E.J.: Actually, it's really not that bad. I mean, the bedroom caught the worst of it 'cause that was where the fire started.
Lucas: The rest is mostly just smoke damage.
E.J.: [Sighs] It's gonna take some time and a little bit of elbow grease, but I can't think of any reason why we couldn't have you back in here by tonight.
Lucas: Tonight? Really? That'd be nice.
Carrie: Okay, I just called the building-supply company and ordered the things we'll need.
E.J.: Well, good.
Lucas: So we'll just get started.
E.J.: Yeah, no time like the present.
Lucas: Yeah, I'm gonna -- I'm gonna get that light fixture in the bedroom. I'll be back, okay? Are you gonna be all right?
Carrie: Yeah. Um, E.J.
Carrie: I have a question for you. Why are you really doing this?
Austin: No. No, I'm not disappointed by them moving out.
Sami: Are you sure?
Austin: Yeah. I'm sure. That's just the way I get. I get more time with my fiancé.
Sami: Austin, you are the best. I love you so much. Thank you so much for making last night so special for me and my ring and...we really are gonna get married this time, though, right?
Austin: You know what? I know you wanted to move the wedding up and I wanted to wait because of work and everything. But I think we should do it. I think it's perfect timing... now.
Sami: Oh, my God. Do you mean --
Austin: Yeah, yeah. We should get married as soon as possible.
Sami: [Laughs] Austin.
Marlena: Belle, it is going to be difficult to know that you're carrying Shawn's child. But that was an accident. It isn't like what happened with daddy and me. This baby wasn't created out of an act of love. So you need to focus on saving your marriage to Philip.
Belle: That's what Shawn keeps saying. [Sighs] Well, thank you for talking this out with me. It helped.
Marlena: I hope so.
Belle: I know what I need to do now, so I need to go.
Marlena: Belle... we love you so much. Oh, honey.
Belle: I love you, too. And it's so good to see you guys back together.
John: Yes, it is. We're always here for you, baby. Call me.
John: Bye. Whoa.
Marlena: Mmm. Oh. Poor Belle. Hope we helped her some.
John: Oh, she'll be all right. She's a good kid -- smart, takes right after her mother, who I love so much. What is it, hmm? Hmm?
Marlena: [Chuckles] I don't know how to say it.
John: Say what? Come on, I know you. All the looks -- the happy one, the sad one...and the one when...something's on your mind. And this one's about us, isn't it?
E.J.: The real reason? I'm offering to help you because I'm your friend.
Carrie: I don't mean to sound paranoid. It's just most people wouldn't go this far out of their way unless they had an ulterior motive. And you've already rescued me once, and I don't really know you that well, and I feel extremely indebted.
E.J.: Carrie, I don't think it's any secret that, um, I've grown very close to your sister, and I don't wish to see her get hurt. That's really what this is about. Whatever happened...last night up on the roof with Austin, that's between us. It goes no further. To be quite honest, I'd rather forget about it. And assuming this isn't gonna happen again, I don't see any reason why Samantha needs to know about it.
Carrie: It definitely won't happen again.
Carrie: Thanks, E.J. Um...you really are a good friend and -- well, I better meet the building-supply truck downstairs.
Lucas: Guess we'll be needing a new light fixture. This one's a goner.
E.J.: Thank God for that. It's pretty unimaginative.
Lucas: Yeah, well, it came with the apartment. Listen, thanks for your help. I appreciate it. You're right. It's not gonna take that long at all, so it's good. The sooner we get out of Sami and Austin's apartment, the better.
E.J.: You know, I don't mean to pry, but, I mean, I know that you and Austin are a little bit competitive in the business arena, but I thought that as brothers you guys were close. You seem...on edge a little.
Lucas: Well, it's kind of complicated, you know. My relationship with my brother is a little rough around the edges, mostly because of Sami. But if you don't mind, I'd really rather not talk about my brother. I'm happy. I'm with Carrie now. Things are really looking up, you know. Despite a few setbacks, like this apartment catching on fire and Lexie telling her that she might not be able to ever have children, we're happy. We're happy about our future. Excuse me..
Sami: Oh, Austin, this is so incredible. You really mean it, though, right? You really want to get married.
Austin: Only if you're okay with it.
Sami: Okay with it? Are you kidding me? I'm -- oh, my God.
Austin: What's wrong?
Sami: Well, there's so much to do. I have to start planning.
Austin: Well, you know, it's up to you. It's -- it's --
Sami: Are you kidding me? If there's anyone who can plan a wedding in 24 hours or less, it would be -- yeah, I guess I've had a lot of practice, huh?
Sami: Austin, this time it's gonna be for real, isn't it? We're gonna get married. We're gonna go on a beautiful honeymoon. And you and I -- we're gonna live happily ever after.
Sami: Lists, lists. Oh, my gosh, there is so much I have to do. Okay, let's start with the caterer. And then I have to make sure the church is available. Flowers.
Austin: Sami, Sami. Calm down, calm down. Everything is gonna get done. Everything's gonna get done.
Sami: And Carrie and Lucas. We have to check with them, make sure they're available.
Austin: We will tell them later. Right now, they're trying to get their apartment back together.
Sami: This is really important. What if they've already planned to go on their honeymoon and then they're not here for that date? We have to make sure they're -- and they're gonna want to hear our good news.
E.J.: Look, if you don't mind, actually, I have to run off to Max's garage for a meeting.
Lucas: Oh, okay. That's okay, no problem. Thank you for all your help. We appreciate it. We'd still be waiting on that contractor if it wasn't for you.
E.J.: It was my pleasure. I'll be back later to help you guys finish up.
Lucas: Thanks again.
Carrie: Thanks, E.J. Thank you. Well, this is great. I felt bad when he offered at first, but, um...I don't think I could have stayed another night in Sami and Austin's apartment.
Lucas: Right, 'cause it was so cramped. Is there another reason why?
Carrie: Well, I lived in that apartment for a long time, you know, including the first time that I fell in love with Austin. And it's difficult being around him 24/7. It brings up a lot of memories.
Lucas: I see.
Carrie: But...you and I are married and we're supposed to be on our honeymoon. We've kind of had a rough start, you know? But I just want to concentrate on you and our life together.
Lucas: That's what I'm talking about.
Lucas: As soon as we get this apartment done, it's you, me, and our honeymoon.
Sami: Hey, oh, sorry, you two. I didn't mean to interrupt. Well, I kind of did, actually, 'cause we have really good news. We've decided to move up the wedding.
Lucas: Well, that's great. That's really great. What made you change your mind?
Sami: Actually, it was Austin's idea.
Lucas: Wow, that's great, isn't it, Carrie?
Carrie: Yeah, it is.
Mimi: You sound like you still don't want to do this.
Shawn D.: No, if you want me to talk to Uncle Mickey, I will.
Mimi: I do, and I don't understand why you're acting like it's such a crazy idea.
Shawn D.: No, it's not that. I'm just wondering...what it is that you're really afraid of.
Mimi: What do you think I'm afraid of? I'm afraid that Belle's going to try to use this baby as an excuse to wind up in your bed -- excuse me -- our bed and kick me out of it..
Shawn D.: Well, that's not gonna happen.
Mimi: I just would feel better if we did this.
Shawn D.: All right, I will talk to Uncle Mickey. What do you want me to ask him to do for us? Because Philip and Belle are gonna want to have visitation.
Mimi: And you're gonna want them for Philip and Belle's baby. I know.
Shawn D.: Well, they live right across the hall. We're gonna see them every day.
Mimi: Do you plan on living across the hall from them forever? Because I sure don’t. I mean, heck, we could wind up living in different states.
Shawn D.: And you would like it if that happened, wouldn't you?
Mimi: Yeah, I would, but you'd hate it.
Shawn D.: Could you blame me?
Mimi: No, no. That's why we need a custody arrangement in place and a visitation schedule from the beginning so we set some ground rules before we make any big decisions about the future.
Belle: Uh, you want to tell me what's going on here?
Marlena: It is about us.
John: Okay. What's wrong?
Marlena: When I was away, I had a lot of time to think about us. Took me some time to realize that I'm not -- I'm not the same strong woman that I always thought I was.
John: Of course you are. Listen, what happened between you and Alex, it wasn't your fault, none of it.
Marlena: No, Alex...Alex abused me. And I let that happen. And then there was what Stefano did to me, and then Tony. I always turned to you...or Roman for help, to be rescued. I leaned way too much on you.
John: Yeah, well, you see, that's what love and marriage is all about. I mean, it's partners who depend upon each other. I mean, I do the same with you.
Marlena: But I can't be strong for you unless I'm strong for myself. I have to stand on my own two feet.
John: So what are you getting at?
Marlena: I need us to separate.
Carrie: Well, I'm really happy for you guys. But isn't it a little sudden? I thought you wanted to have a big wedding, Sami?
Sami: Well, I think we can have a sudden big wedding. And I already spoke to Father Jansen and he already has the date available that you guys requested, so we can use that, right?
Carrie: But you won't be able to send out invitations, and Eric won't be able to be there and John and Marlena and I'm really bummed about Eric, but he understands, and he's flying all over the world. He'll be okay with it.
Austin: So, I guess there's no reason for us to wait after all. Is there?
E.J.: Excuse me. Hi, oh, you're Abby, right?
Abby: Uh, y-yeah. Um, I'm Abby.
E.J.: Is Max around?
Abby: You know what? He just stepped out. I'm actually waiting for him.
E.J.: We were supposed to get together to discuss the Salem Grand Prix. Well, now I'm glad he's running late.
E.J.: Well, it'll give you and I a chance to get to know each other.
Belle: I can't believe you're plotting behind my back like this.
Mimi: We're not plotting anything. All I want is to have an attorney check into some kind of custody agreement, a visitation schedule, you know, for Shawn to see the baby that you're having together --
Belle: Yeah, I heard all of this.
Mimi: Aren't you and Philip planning to do the same thing?
Belle: Yeah, I guess, but don't you think we should be discussing this together, the four of us?
Mimi: I'm sure we will, but right now, I'm discussing it with my husband first because it's about our marriage. And quite frankly, Belle, I don't trust you anymore, not after what happened last night.
Belle: Well, you don't have anything to worry about. It won't happen again. I've come to say goodbye to Shawn.
John: You want to separate. Wow, you know, you move pretty fast, seeing as how we're not even legally married.
Marlena: John, I'm so sorry.
John: Did you feel this way at Green Mountain, or in Europe, or how about in the Plaza Hotel? Did you feel that way then?
Marlena: Please, don't misunderstand this. I still love you so much. I love you. You're the one man in my life I love with my whole heart, always have, but...John, I need time. I need space. Look, I know I'm asking a lot. I know that. But I've got to find some way to find myself, the Marlena that I thought that I was, the Marlena that I want to be.
John: I understand. I just don't think you need to do something this drastic. That's all. You know, let me tell you something. These last couple months has been hell for all of us. It's given me a chance to examine my own weaknesses. At one point...I put your life and Belle's life in danger in the church. That little act of stupidity could have gotten me the death penalty, and it all happened because I lost my center. I lost my anchor, my strength. You have been my strength, so can we just...damn it, be there for each other and get on with our lives?
Marlena: That's what I want, too. But I can't get on with my life until I have some time to myself, some time to make sense of all this. John, look, there's nothing that you can say or do that's going to make me change my mind.
John: Are you sure about that?
E.J.: So, there I am. It's the Monte Carlo Grand Prix. I'm coming into the final stretch, just maybe a mile to go. I can see -- I can smell the finish line from there. I get right down there, and I run out of gas.
Abby: Oh, no way.
E.J.: Yeah, the whole thing, the car completely dies 50 meters from the finish line.
Abby: What did you do?
E.J.: I get out, I run around the back, and I start pushing it as hard as I can, as quickly as I can towards the finish.
Abby: Are you serious?
E.J.: Behind me, about a mile behind, I've got Fernando Alfonso. This guy's coming in at 180 miles an hour. I'm pushing this car at 4 miles an hour.
Abby: What happened?
E.J.: I made it over the finish line 1/10 of a second ahead of him.
Abby: You won?
E.J.: Not exactly.
Abby: You're kidding me, aren't you?
E.J.: Well, technically, you have to be in the car in order to win. How did you know that anyway?
Abby: Well, in this magazine I'm reading, you might have mentioned a story like that.
E.J.: You're pretty sharp.
Abby: I don't know anything about racing, but you might be turning me into a huge fan.
E.J.: Well, if you want to come and work with me and my crew anytime, you know, if you want to help. Oh, you know what? I may have a job for you.
Abby: I just asked my cousin Shawn for a job, but he said I have to ask Max.
E.J.: Well, if you ever change your mind, the offer's open, okay? You know, I have to get a move on. I've been helping some friends fix up their flat. They're gonna be wondering where I am. Would you tell Max if you see him that I tried to catch up with him? I'll get ahold of him later. It was, um, it was really lovely meeting you.
Abby: You too.
Carrie: I guess you're right, Sami. There's no reason to wait. And there's nothing like a big summer wedding.
Lucas: So congratulations. We're very happy for the both of you.
Austin: Thanks, bud.
Mimi: Oh, my God. Belle, you are so full of it. You could never say goodbye to Shawn. What kind of game are you playing now?
Shawn D.: Come on.
Belle: No, it's okay. I deserve it. I've been a real bitch to Mimi over the last few months, and I can't blame it on pregnancy hormones or postpartum depression or anything else. It was wrong, and I can't let it keep happening. It's -- it's time to end things with Shawn and me, so if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to talk to him alone for a few minutes.
Mimi: Here we go again.
Shawn D.: So, this is the decision that you've made? I think you're gonna be a lot happier.
Belle: It was a hard one, but it's for the best.
Shawn D.: Is this really it? Is this really goodbye?
Roman: Is something wrong?
Marlena: No, no, no. It's -- John and I are separating.
Frankie: For you, beautiful.
Philip: I'm starting to think it wasn't an accident. I'm afraid somebody did this to us on purpose.
Shawn D.: Where did this come from?
