Shawn D.: Yeah, well, okay, so this is it.
Carrie: [Gasps] So this is the super turbo engine I've heard so much about.
Shawn D.: Well...
Lucas: It doesn't look like much from the outside. It looks like a normal engine. But once Shawn puts his turbo charger in there, it'll make the car accelerate a lot faster..
Shawn D.: Yeah, well, we'll see.
Lucas: Oh, it will. It will. Once we get those contracts signed between you and Titan, we'll be raking in the dough, man -- you and me. And you're gonna need it with all those diapers you're gonna need to buy.
Shawn D.: So I keep hearing. I'm not looking forward to diaper duty.
Lucas: Oh, no one does. No one does. Ugly business.
Will: Dad, the track was awesome. I want to be a driver when I get out of school.
Lucas: Let's take it easy on that, all right? We'll have to talk about that a little later.
Will: I've decided. Max tore up the track. It was so cool.
Shawn D.: So, what was your time?
Max: It was.........
Shawn D.: What are you saying? Somebody beat you today? Who was it?
E.J.: Morning, all.
Sami: Good morning.
Austin: Would you like a cup of Austin Reed's famous java?
Sami: Is there a special ingredient today?
Austin: There is. There is. But I am not telling. You just have to kind of taste and see.
Sami: Mmm. Mint mocha. How did you do that?
Austin: Well, you know, I went out and got some fresh ground while you were sleeping.
Sami: Why were you up so early?
Austin: I was making notes on the E.J. Wells account.
Sami: You mean the Kate Roberts account.
Austin: Come on! Come on. Come on. Come on. She's working with us, especially with you.
Sami: Oh, good.
Austin: Sami, there is a method to my madness, and I am hoping that working with my mother on this account will finesse more than one situation. One -- it'll put ARC out in front of the racing world. And two -- hopefully, if you are not too stubborn, you and my mother will be able to work out your problems.
Sami: Oh, come on, Austin. When hell freezes over, are you gonna promise to find me somewhere warm to live?
Sami: [Laughs] [Sighs] The best way to get rid of Kate would be to remove her from the planet. Now, that's an idea I could sink my teeth into.
[Knock on door]
Kate: Come in.
Chelsea: Hey. My mom said that you wanted to see me.
Kate: Yes, sweetie, I do.
Chelsea: Well, you know that my trial is today.
Kate: I know. And I want you to know that I have done everything I possibly could do to help you.
Chelsea: To help me? Look, nobody can help me, okay?
Kate: Take a look at this. I think it's going to interest you.
Chelsea: Oh, my God. I don't believe it.
Bo: Listen, that e-mail I was gonna send you, it's on my computer. Why don't you read it? And then we'll talk before the trial.
Hope: "Zack's gone, and we have to move on with our lives. And I'm praying we can do that together. Our love, our marriage is too important to throw away."
Jennifer: Why do you sound so surprised?
Hope: Jen, just listen. "But if you insist on speaking out against my daughter at her trial, I will consider our marriage to be officially over. It's up to you, Hope -- our marriage or your vengeance. Bo."
Hope: Your father has used you for the last time, Zack. This time I thought he was trying to save our marriage, telling me it's what you'd want. But he was just trying to save his daughter. She took you away from me... my sweet little boy. How dare he ask me to forgive her? I can't wait until this damn trial is over with. If I never hear Chelsea's name again, it'll be too soon for me.
[Telephone rings] What do you want?
Bo: Hey, Fancy Face. I'm glad you picked up. I left a bunch of messages last night, and I didn't get a return call. Hope, are you there?
Hope: Why are you calling?
Bo: Well, didn't you go on the boat last night and read my e-mail?
Hope: Yeah, I read it.
Bo: Okay, good, then you know how I feel.
Hope: You know, I'm really tired of your games, Brady.
Bo: What games are you talking about?
Hope: Look, there is nothing -- nothing left to talk about. And do me a favor -- don't ever call this house again. I'll see you in court, Brady.
Jennifer: Hope? The kitchen door was unlocked. I was just -- hey. Come here. It's okay. It's all right.
Hope: I've lost everything.
Jennifer: No, no, no. No, you havenít. No.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Kate: That interview is pretty damn good, isn't it? And the press finally got it right for once.
Chelsea: I didn't know that anybody in this family still believed in me.
Kate: Honey, your mother and father -- they love you very much. And if it wasn't for Hope interfering, you'd be living with both of them right now, and this trial wouldn't even be taking place.
Chelsea: Yeah, well, Hope really has it out for me, so I'm sure you'll be visiting me in jail.
Kate: No, that's not going to happen because once the jury finds out what a lovely girl you really are, there's no way they won't acquit you. They're going to realize that there is no way that you could cause pain and unhappiness for anyone.
Chelsea: There's no way I can let Hope read this the way it was. There. Much better.
Chelsea: Look, I really appreciate how much you believe in me. I really do. But, um... I'm not the person that you think I am.
Jennifer: Here, drink this hot tea. You know what Gram says -- it's not the tea that's soothing. It's the warm mug and the nice steam. Come on. Breathe it. Go on. I know. It's not silly. Now, tell me everything.
Hope: After I read Bo's e-mail on the boat, I came home, and he had left a bunch of messages.
Hope: To torture me, I guess. I don't know.
Jennifer: Wait a minute. No. Is it because he wanted to make sure that you had read the e-mail?
Hope: Yeah, you got it.
Jennifer: Oh, my gosh.
Hope: Jennifer, I just cannot -- I can't believe it. I mean, this whole time, he was just trying to figure out a way to work me so I wouldn't testify against Chelsea.
Jennifer: No, Hope, it doesn't sound like Bo. It just doesnít.
Hope: I don't know him anymore. But, you know, the thing that makes me the most angry is the way he's been using my grief over losing Zack -- telling me that "Zack would want us back together, Fancy Face," that he loved his family, that he wouldn't want us to break up. How dare he use our son?
Jennifer: Maybe this isn't the best time to say this, but I don't think that things could get any worse. When you were gone, he was so lost, Hope. I'm telling you. I know that he regrets every mistake that he has made. He loves you. I can't imagine that he would do something on purpose to keep the two of you from being together. I see him with you. I see the way he speaks to you. He's being honest. These are his real feelings.
Hope: No, they're not.
Jennifer: Yes, it's Bo. You know him. I don't know why this is happening, but men, they don't just change overnight.
Hope: When they want something badly enough, they do.
Jennifer: What does he want more than you?
Hope: Not what -- who. As we both heard Chelsea telling Max, her father wants Billie.
Billie: Are you finished throwing things?
Bo: Maybe. Maybe not.
Billie: Okay, great, I won't get too close, then. What the hell happened?
Billie: Hope. What? She said something? She did something?
Bo: It's what she didn't do. You know what? I don't get this! I tell her how much I love her, that I would do anything to get her back. I... I found her yesterday at Zack's grave site. And that whole -- it just -- it just feels so unreal.
Billie: I'm so sorry.
Bo: Yeah, well, obviously we were both having a difficult time with that, and so I asked -- I practically begged her if she wants to go grab something to eat.
Billie: Hey, girl's got to eat.
Bo: Yeah, right. So, we go over to Chez Rouge. We start to talk, and I feel like we're getting through the surface crap, you know. I'm talking to her. It's like it used to be.
Billie: So, why aren't you two together now? Why are you here in Roman's office destroying it?
Bo: Because Chelsea showed up. And so, bam, just like that, the evening's over. Hope takes off. I follow her over to the house and start to talk to her again. She's having some hard time with some stuff, so I call up Marlena. Maybe they can talk it through. And by the time I leave, I think things are going better.
Billie: So, what happened?
Bo: I don't know. I wanted to go over some stuff with her before the trial, so I decided to send her an e-mail.
Billie: E-mail? No, Bo, you can't send her an e-mail. E-mails lack something. It lacks emotion. It lacks tone.
Bo: The words are there. I was very clear about how much I want her back..
Billie: You were very clear about that the last time you sent her an e-mail, and that didn't get through to her. So, great. You send her an e-mail.
Bo: No, actually, I didnít. Hope shows up at the boat, and I get this emergency page to come down here. So, I just tell her, "go on the boat. Read the e-mail." I get down here. The emergency's bogus, so I get back to the boat pretty quick. Hope isn't there, and the e-mail has been deleted.
Billie: Are you sure she read it?
Bo: Yeah, pretty sure, 'cause I just called her up, and she doesn't want to have anything to do with me. She says she's gonna see me in court. And I don't think she's just talking about the trial. I think she's talking about divorce court.
E.J.: You weren't timing yourself this morning, were you, Max? It was only a practice run.
Max: I always get a time whenever I drive. Thanks.
E.J.: You ought to watch that. You might be putting too much pressure on yourself.
Lucas: Well, you know, you might have beaten Max on a trial run, but once Shawn puts that turbo charger into that car, I don't know, I think you're gonna be eating dust. You might be history.
E.J.: Can I quote you on that?
Lucas: Damn straight.
E.J.: Well, you know, actually, Shawn, I'm really looking forward to your product getting launched. I'm very keen to see what this engine can do.
Carrie: We all are.
Carrie: Sadly, I have to leave all you handsome men. I have to get back to the apartment. Do you want to give me a ride? I'm expecting an overnight package.
Lucas: Absolutely. I'm your man.
Lucas: Uh, Max, you don't mind watching Will for a little while?
Will: Oh, say yes.
Max: Sure. Sure. I got an apprentice for the day, I guess, huh?
Lucas: That's okay?
Max: Yeah, yeah.
Lucas: Thanks, I appreciate it. Come on.
Carrie: Okay. Bye.
Lucas: You be good. Stay out of trouble.
Will: All right.
E.J.: Listen, Shawn, you wouldn't mind if I took a little look at your baby, would you?
Max: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. British charm doesn't always do the trick, E.J. We're not gonna show you how Shawn's super turbo charger engine works, but thanks for the interest.
E.J.: Wait. Samantha... don't go. I'm glad you came.
Sami: Um... Aus-- hi. What's up?
Delivery Guy: Overnight delivery for Miss Brady.
Sami: Oh, that's me, but I didn't order anything.
Delivery Guy: Sign here.
Delivery Guy: Thank you.
Sami: Thanks. All right.
Lucas: We'll see. We'll see.
Carrie: Yeah. Excuse me, were you trying to deliver a package for Carrie Brady?
Delivery Guy: I just delivered her a package.
Carrie: Oh, you couldn't have. I'm Carrie Brady.
Delivery Guy: Oh.
Carrie: Oh! You must have delivered it to my sister. That's okay. Thanks..
Delivery Guy: Whatever.
Carrie: Okay. I'm gonna go knock on Sami's door.
Lucas: Better you than me. Sami?
Sami: Carrie, is this yours?
Sami: I take you, Austin, to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, through sickness and health, through good times and bad.
Lucas: Carrie -- Carrie, what is it?
Sami: Oh, my God.
Lucas: Carrie, are you okay?
Jennifer: Look at me. Look at me. He doesn't love Billie.
Hope: Well, he hasn't exactly pushed her away, has he? Don't you remember why I left Salem? We saw him and Billie in bed together at a motel. Jennifer, we had never, ever, ever discussed divorce. We were married, but that certainly didn't stop him from jumping into bed with Billie the day that we buried our son. I can't do this anymore. It just -- it hurts too much.
Jennifer: But -- so, you don't want to see Bo anymore. Is that what you're saying?
Hope: When I had that vision of Zack, I swear to God, I thought it was a sign -- my heart telling me what I really wanted -- to be a family again with Bo.
Jennifer: Yes, and hold onto that, please, Hope.
Hope: Jen, I'm trying. I'm trying. I'm -- I'm just so confused. You know, maybe -- maybe it's time for me to really admit that what Bo and I have is really gone. What?!
Jennifer: What is it? What's wrong? Let me see. [Exhales sharply]
Eve: Kate Roberts would do anything to save her granddaughter. Now, isn't that interesting?
Bo: I got to wait till Hope gets to the courthouse to talk to her. She won't take my phone calls. If I go over there, I'm sure I'll run into Lockhart, and I'd have to hurt him.
Billie: I'm sorry things aren't working out.
Bo: This isn't the end.
Billie: I know. I just hate to see you so unhappy.
Bo: No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have dumped this on you, I mean, especially today. Our daughter's going to trial. You know... if I hadn't given her permission to drive my S.U.V., All our lives would be different.
Billie: You are not responsible for Zack's death.
Bo: Yeah, I try to tell myself that.
Billie: Come on. You would have thrown yourself in front of that car if you could have. And Chelsea -- she didn't mean to hit Zack. She didn't know what happened. This is all just -- this is all a tragedy. It's a tragedy for all of us.
Bo: Well, you got nothing to do with the mess that Hope and I made of our marriage.
Billie: Well, I didn't have to take the blame for the accident so soon after it happened. And I made you go along with me. You didn't want to do it, but I made you do it. And that made Hope distrust all of us.
Bo: Hey, you're trying to protect your daughter. What mother wouldn't? The thing that kills me is every time Hope and I almost make up, something happens. It's like there's a force out there pulling us apart.
Billie: There is. Her name is Chelsea.
Chelsea: It was on the pier. I set it up so that Hope would overhear me pretending to talk to Max on the phone, telling him that the only reason Bo wanted to get back together with her was so that she could help me.
Kate: Hmm. I see. How did she react to that?
Chelsea: Well, she was upset, obviously. And then my dad came off the boat, and he wanted to talk to her. So I, um...
Kate: So you what?
Chelsea: I sent my dad a text message pretending that it was from the police department. And I told him that it was an emergency.
Kate: Oh, Chelsea.
Chelsea: Well, that's nothing, so, uh...
Kate: Yeah, I forgot who I'm talking to. What else went on? What else happened?
Chelsea: Um, well, my dad told her that he had to run but that she should go down to the boat and read an e-mail that he had been writing her.
Kate: An e-mail about getting back together again?
Chelsea: Yeah, that's what he had written. Only I got on the boat and changed it.
Kate: Oh, my God, Chelsea.
Chelsea: That's the second time I've got away with it. And the first time, I felt so bad. I just -- I wanted to apologize, but I just kept my mouth shut and did it again. I'm a bitch.
Kate: You are not a bitch. You're just trying to take care of yourself, that's all.
Chelsea: But still, I feel really horrible about myself, you know? I mean, I'm just -- I don't want to go to jail, and I want my parents to be together. Why does it feel so wrong to want a normal life?
E.J.: If you don't want to show me your design, it's your prerogative.
Max: That's just the way it's got to be until we get the patent approved.. You understand, right?
E.J.: Of course.
Shawn D.: Max, I think we could show him the design. We're all set to sign with titan anyway, so come on. Lighten up.
Max: All right, I guess. 30 seconds. I'm just kidding. Will, let me show you how to drain the oil out of this baby, huh?
Will: All right, cool.
Max: 45 seconds.
Shawn D.: Yeah, yeah. Well, there it is.
Shawn D.: Thank you.
E.J.: This is a really unique design. If you don't mind me asking, how did you come up with this?
Shawn D.: I don't know. It just sort of came to me one day. I've been working on engines for years with my father -- boats and bikes. So, I guess you could say it's in my blood and in my hands.
E.J.: It's in your high-level brainpower, I'd say.
Shawn D.: You're looking at a college dropout, so...
E.J.: You know what? University's not for everybody. It doesn't mean you're not intelligent.
Shawn D.: Now you're starting to sound like my father.
E.J.: It was good that he was so supportive of you.
Shawn D.: Yeah, I don't know how supportive he is of me. Things are just kind of messed up with us. I think it's part of the getting older and getting married part of life. How about you? Are you close with your father?
E.J.: I've never made his acquaintance. Look, Shawn, you have a really unique design here, which I like very much. I know that titan's made you an offer. Whatever it is, the offer to you and your partner, I'll match it and more. Name your price.
Max: I knew it. You're trying to steal our engine.
Austin: Is she okay?
Sami: Carrie, Austin brought you some water.
Carrie: I don't want any water. Sami, why did you pull my wedding dress out of the box? Now Lucas has seen it. That's horrible luck.
Sami: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. But the deliveryman brought a package for Miss Brady, and I'm Miss Brady, too.
Carrie: Were you expecting a package?
Sami: No, but, you know, we get packages all the time. It could have been anything, so I pulled it out to see what it was, and that's when you walked in.
Carrie: I guess. Kate had that dress express delivered to me straight from the designer. Lucas has seen it, so I can't wear it now. Besides --
Sami: Besides what? Look, I'm really sorry, Carrie, okay? What can I do?
Lucas: I think you've done enough.
Sami: You know what? If you didn't follow her around like her freakin' shadow all the time, Lucas, you wouldn't have seen the dress.
Lucas: You know what? Excuse us.
Sami: Excuse me! What?
Lucas: Just because every one of your weddings turned into a huge fiasco doesn't mean you have to ruin it for your sister.
Sami: How dare you? I want her to have a fabulous wedding to you, Lucas.
Lucas: Oh, you do?
Sami: Yes, I do.
Austin: Sounds like it was just one of those freak things.
Carrie: I guess I overreacted.
Austin: Are you okay now?
Carrie: I'm not sure. I'll take that water. The dress -- Sami was holding it up in front of her, and I suddenly remembered when she basically stole my wedding dress to marry you. And it just brought up some bad memories.
Austin: Yeah, well, we have a lot of those, don't we?
Hope: Oh, Kate knows how to work the media, but then again, she always did.
Jennifer: Let me see that.
Hope: The morning of Chelsea's trial, and she paints a very sympathetic portrait of Chelsea. I see this picture in my mind. I keep seeing it over and over of Zack playing with Chelsea. She'd get down on the floor with him or they'd play hide-and-go-seek and chase each other. He trusted her. He loved her. Chelsea was his sister, so he loved her.
Jennifer: Children have a way of seeing the good in people, don't they? Have you changed the way you feel about her?
Hope: I wish I could, for Zack's sake. But she's responsible for killing him. And that's what I'm gonna say in court.
Bo: Why do you say that Chelsea's working against me?
Billie: Because every time we think she's back on the right track, she manages to get herself into trouble. And when she gets herself into trouble, she pulls you away from Hope.
Bo: Come on. She's not the only one to blame for what's happened with us..
Billie: God, forgive me.
Billie: You're right. Chelsea's not the one to blame. I am.
Kate: Bo and Hope are adults, and they need to decide what's going to happen to their marriage. It's not up to you to save it. You know, Bo has had a lot of women after him over the years. But I believe -- I truly believe that Bo is Billie's soul mate. And I would love to see them get back together again. I would love to see them get married, for you to be able to spend time with them. Your mother is a very selfless person, and she feels the need to apologize for loving Bo instead of just watching and letting that marriage fall to dust. If Hope is foolish enough to let Bo go, then it's not up to you, and it's not up to me or Billie to keep pushing him back into her arms. [Sighs] Chelsea, my children seem to be cursed -- cursed with nobility. And they certainly didn't get that from me. Hmm. A smile. A smile. I like to see that.
Chelsea: Well, I guess maybe I get that from you, maybe.
Kate: Maybe. You certainly don't take after your Uncle Austin, that's for sure. I can't believe he's let Sami back into his life again. It doesn't seem to matter what I do or I say to him. He just won't see the truth about her.
Chelsea: Well, have you tried everything you can think of?
Kate: Well, I haven't hired a hit man yet -- not yet. But actually, I may have come up with a very creative way to keep them apart for good.
Chelsea: What are you gonna do?
Kate: Oh, I can't tell you that. But I can tell you that I'm going to drive a wedge between them, and I do mean drive.
E.J.: I don't steal designs. That is for amateurs, and I'm a professional. All I did was make an offer to stand alongside Titan's. Now, since when is that a crime in America?
Shawn D.: It's not a crime. It's not a crime. And I'm flattered with your interest in the engine.
Max: But we have an agreement with Titan.
E.J.: True, but it's a verbal agreement. There's nothing written down as yet, which, in my experience, means that the two of you are still in play.
Shawn D.: Well, Victor Kiriakis happens to be my grandfather and the owner of Titan, which is good enough for me.
Shawn D.: Yeah, and Philip Kiriakis, who is my best friend, has agreed to underwrite Max's racing team, so...
E.J.: Okay, I understand you want to keep it in the family.
Shawn D.: Yeah, yeah, we like to.
E.J.: Actually, you know, I'm about to sign a deal myself -- same sort of basic overall agreement with Basic Black and Reed and Company.
E.J.: They joined together to woo me, and they succeeded.
Max: Cool. Well, catch you on the track, then.
E.J.: Well, that remains to be seen -- whether or not you're gonna catch me, you know.
Max: We'll see.
Max: Basic Black's a good company, and Austin Reed's a good guy, but --
Shawn D.: Keep your eye on Sami.
E.J.: I intend to.
Lucas: You better be telling me the truth.
Sami: Get out of my face.
Lucas: The pleasure's all mine, sweetheart. What do we have here? What, are you stalking this guy? It's not enough you got your hooks into Austin. You have to go after E..J., too, is that it?
Sami: It just so happens, Lucas, that E.J. is working with ARC and Basic Black. So, unfortunately for you, I'm in the racing business, too.
Lucas: Oh, you're gonna work with my mother. This I got to see. That's gonna be juicy.
Sami: If you can forgive her, so can I. So, yeah, we're gonna work together. Speaking of which, where is Will? You're supposed to be with him today, aren't you?
Lucas: Yes, he's at Max's garage, if that meets with your approval.
Sami: Of course it does because Will loves cars. So, he'll love the fact that I'm working with E.J. Maybe E.J. can teach him something.
Lucas: I'm not letting that guy anywhere near my kid, all right? Mr. E.J.. "I'm so charming 'cause I'm British" Wells. I don't know zip about him. Forget it.
Sami: I know lots about him. I know that he's smart. I know that he's charming -- certainly more charming than you ever could be. And he's a man -- not because he's tough, just because he is. And that accent -- I could listen to him talk all day.
Lucas: I'll bet you could. I knew it. I told Carrie before. You got a crush on him. You have a crush on E.J.
Austin: We're done with bad memories. You know, all that stuff with Sami -- that's in the past. I mean, we're starting over -- you with Lucas, me with Sami. You know, I just think the thing with the dress was just an accident.
Carrie: I know. I hate that I let myself get so upset about it. I really want to believe that things are better between me and Sami, but deep down, I expect her to ruin things. So I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Austin: I don't think that explains why you fainted.
Carrie: I was surprised.
Austin: No, I mean, who faints in the real world? It doesn't happen all that often unless there's something, you know, wrong physically. I think you should get checked out.
Carrie: There's nothing wrong with me other than, you know, planning a wedding and being pregnant and starting a new business venture. Gosh, do you think that might have anything to do with it?
Austin: Okay, yeah, good point, but I still think you should see a doctor.
Carrie: They don't even want to see you till you're practically out of your first trimester. I'm fine. I promise. I don't even have any morning sickness or anything. What?
Austin: I don't know. I don't know. You just don't seem like yourself, like the Carrie that I know. You just sound unhappy.
Carrie: Nobody's happy every minute, Austin.
Austin: It makes it a lot easier when you're with the right person.
Carrie: You promised you wouldn't do this, Austin.
Austin: Do what? Look, hey, I'm sorry. I just -- you're down. I hate seeing you like this.
Carrie: I'm not down.
Austin: Yeah, you are.
Carrie: I'm busy and maybe a little overwhelmed. And that stupid dress -- Lucas seeing the -- and that old superstition.
Austin: Superstitions are dumb.
Carrie: I know. I'm starting to act like Sami. We're both gonna be very happy, just not with each other. And that's the way it is.
Sami: I am a grown woman, and I don't have crushes anymore. I'm marrying Austin, remember? Because he is my one lasting true love.
Lucas: Your one lasting true love? One lasting true love and Sami Brady don't compute. They don't go together. That's why I got a bad feeling about you and Austin. Why are you rushing this marriage, huh? Trying to take advantage of the fact that he's heartbroken over Carrie?
Sami: I am done with this conversation. Just make sure will gets home on time. I'm gonna go check on my sister.
E.J.: I see that Sami's reputation precedes her.
Shawn D.: She has done some crazy stuff to hurt people, mostly those who she supposedly cares about.
Max: You've been warned, man. You need to stay far away from her.
E.J.: Well, I've always said that when you have an enemy, it's always good to keep him -- or, I guess, in this case, her -- close.
Max: Yeah, yeah, sounds stupid to me.
E.J.: Actually, it is stupid when you consider that Sami and I are by no means enemies. I think that she, Austin, his mother, Kate, you know, their combined talents and business acumen are gonna benefit me greatly. I'm actually really looking forward to the partnership. The only thing I'd change, if I was to change something, obviously, would be to have your engine in my car. However, I know that, that's not gonna happen, and that's fine. I took it on the chin like an Englishman, as they say. Anyway, what's more consolation, of course, is that I do have my own new car.
Max: You're getting a new car, huh?
E.J.: Have to compete. Hey, come on. Don't worry. I'm not parking her in front of your garage. I'm just gonna be storing it next door at Mario's Place. Listen, I have to get going, but I will see you on the track, Max.
Kate: [Sighs] Freedom -- that is the one thing I want you to have on your mind when you walk into that courtroom, okay? You have to remember that everyone in there will have read this morning's papers, including the jury, because they haven't received their instructions yet to avoid the media. That's not going to happen until the judge bangs their gavel and calls the court to order.
Chelsea: You're really smart.
Kate: Sweetie, you take after me. I want you to keep a brave face, all right?
Chelsea: I'll try. Thanks.
Kate: Love you.
Eve: No need to be alarmed, ma'am -- Miss Roberts.
Kate: Excuse me? How do you know my name?
Eve: You've got a famous face. It says here that you would do anything to save your granddaughter. Is that true?
Kate: Of course that's true. I love my granddaughter very much.
Eve: Does "anything" include paying large sums of cash?
Kate: Large sums of cash for what?
Eve: To save your granddaughter.
Kate: What exactly do you have in mind, officer?
Hope: Well, I better go finish getting dressed.
Hope: Honey, thank you. I don't know what I'd do without my family.
Bo: Hey, come on. You haven't done anything to hurt me. In fact, it's the other way around. I've taken advantage of you. And I'm sorry. Hey, you're crying.
Billie: It's nothing. I'm fine.
Bo: Hey, come on. Talk to me.
Billie: It's just gonna be so hard for you and Hope today. You're gonna have to relive Zack's death all over again.
Bo: Well, we do that every day. It's part of our lives.
Billie: We have a chance to save Chelsea. We may not be able to, but I'm telling you, if I lose her again, if she goes to prison, I don't think I'll be able to live through it..
Bo: Hey, hey, come on. Hey, Chelse. Come in here.
Jennifer: I wish that -- that there was something I could do to help you get through this day.
Hope: I have to do this for Zack, for my little boy. I'll face down anyone, and that includes Bo. God, give me strength.
Frankie: Chelsea, right now, our best option is for you to change your plea to guilty.
Chelsea: I'm not going to jail, and I will never plead guilty.
Sami: Kate, you have to be so careful about bribing those judges. You'll end up in a cell right next to your granddaughter.
Hope: Your dad and I should have done that with Zack. We should have protected him.
Mimi: I have a confession to make. I don't deserve to have Shawn's baby.
