Mimi: Just think, a couple of days ago, we were looking at adoption as being our only choice. And now to find out I might actually be able to conceive... I never dreamed that I would actually be able to get pregnant with your baby.

Shawn D.: What did I tell you? As soon as we got married, I'd make all your dreams come true.

Mimi: Okay, but if we couldn't have had our own baby, are you sure you would have been okay with adopting?

Shawn D.: I told you that a million times. I would have loved to adopt. But I know how much this means to you.

Mimi: And to you. And I know you said it didn't matter.

Shawn D.: It doesn't, but the idea of looking at my beautiful, sexy bride, pregnant, baby inside kicking, and listening to its heartbeat...

Mimi: Aw. I just hope IVF can work for us.

Shawn D.: As soon as Lexie's done with her patients, she's gonna tell us exactly what we have to do to make that happen.

Carrie: Lexie, what are you talking about? Why would you say that you're a fraud and that you lie to your patients?

Lexie: Because it's true, Carrie. Tom Horton gave me this copy of the Hippocratic Oath because he wanted me to make him proud, to be the best doctor I could be. But I've let him down. I've let you down, too, Carrie.

Sami: Now, all you have to do is make sure that Carrie doesn't choose Austin. Otherwise, you can say goodbye to your happy life with Abe and Theo.

Carrie: Lexie, how have you let me down?

Lexie: Carrie, I am so sorry. I know... I know how you feel about Austin, and the truth is you really do belong with him.

Lucas: What the hell did you mean when you said Carrie was gonna dump me to get back with you?

Austin: You eavesdropping on our conversation?

Lucas: I was passing by the door.

Sami: Look, Lucas, you don't understand.

Lucas: Sami, shut up and get out of here.

Sami: Excuse me?

Austin: Whoa, whoa, whoa. First of all, this is her house. Second of all, don't talk to her like that.

Lucas: This is a private conversation between me and my brother. Could you please leave?

Sami: I'm not going anywhere. This is my apartment, and anything that concerns Austin concerns me, too.

Bo: Hope?

Hope: Bo.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.

Mimi: So do you think this can really work?

Shawn D.: I think that we've got a really good chance. You saw the research.

Mimi: Yeah. So I just take a bunch of hormones and get all moody and stuff, and then you have to live with me?

Shawn D.: And spoil you.

Mimi: And watch me get all fat and have swollen ankles and probably not have too much sex because you won't want to.

Shawn D.: No, I will want to have plenty of sex with my wife.

Mimi: Okay, shh! It'll all be worth it, though, right?

Shawn D.: Are you kidding me? Of course it's gonna be worth it.

Mimi: Assuming it works. I don't want to get ahead of ourselves. Besides, it's also really expensive, too.

Shawn D.: So is adopting.

Mimi: You're right. But does it feel kind of selfish, you know, because there are so many kids out there who need homes?

Shawn D.: If we really feel that bad about it, we can adopt, as well.

Mimi: All right, that sounds great. I just really hope this works 'cause I don't want to try and try and be disappointed.

Shawn D.: I know. I understand. But we're young. We have plenty of time. Plus, you've been pregnant before. I'm just saying I think our odds are really good. But let's just see what Lexie has to say, all right?

Mimi: Okay. I just don't want to get my hopes up, you know? Oh, my gosh. But just imagine, in nine months or so, we could be standing here looking through this glass at our own baby.

[Babies crying]

Shawn D.: I think that would be incredible.

Mimi: [Thinking] And if I can give Shawn his own child, maybe it'll make up for not telling him he's Claire's father.

Billie: Hey, wake up.

Bo: What?

Billie: It's me -- Hope.

Bo: What did you say?

Billie: That's what you just called me.

Bo: Oh, sorry.

Billie: You were dreaming about her.

Bo: No, I don't think so.

Billie: Uh, yes, I do think so because you just said her name out loud.

Bo: I said I'm sorry. That's not...good. I didn't call you hope last night while we were making love.

Billie: No.

Bo: I did want to make love to you.

Billie: Oh, come on. A woman knows when a man wants her and when he doesnít.

Bo: Mm-hmm. And I wanted you.

Billie: Oh, I know you did. But I also know that you made love to me last night so you could forget about Hope.

Hope: [Sighs] Morning, Brady.

Patrick: Good morning.

Hope: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, Patrick. Oh, I'm so sorry.

Patrick: [Clears throat] It's all right. You've had a lot of mornings waking up next to Bo. And we both know your heart is with him.

Hope: You're right. A part of me is still with him. But he's with Billie, and he's moved on. I have to do the same thing. Patrick... last night was... was very special -- the dinner, the casino, the dancing on the terrace, the incredible flaming-chocolate dessert. Hey I'm afraid it was a mistake.

Carrie: Lexie, it's not your fault that you had to give me bad news. I'm sorry if I made you feel that way.

Lexie: No, Carrie, I have to tell you why I told you -- [Knock on door]

Abe: May I come in?

Carrie: That's Abe. Of course he can come in, but we have to finish this conversation. Why don't you call me, you tell me everything once you finish looking at the tests?

Lexie: Okay.

Carrie: Okay?

Lexie: Okay. Yeah. Yeah, sweetheart. Come on in.

Abe: Hey. Hey, Carrie.

Carrie: Hi, Abe.

Abe: How are you?

Carrie: Nice to see you.

Abe: Oh, I'm so sorry to interrupt. I hope nothing's wrong.

Carrie: Oh, no. Just a follow-up visit after my appendectomy.

Abe: Oh, good. Well, I was walking by this flower shop, and they just made these up. They had your name on it.

Lexie: Oh, sweetheart, they're beautiful.

Abe: I'll tell you, Lexie just scared the hell out of me when she found that lump on her breast. I just thank God it was benign.

Lexie: Yeah.

Abe: But it made me realize that you just have to cherish every day with the ones you love. I don't know what Theo and I would have done if we'd lost her.

Carrie: Lexie, you all right?

Lexie: Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine.

Abe: You're just so stressed out. And I know it's because you thought you had cancer, but that's over now.

Carrie: I'm gonna leave the two of you alone.

Lexie: Carrie, just give us a few minutes, okay? I really need to talk to you.

Carrie: Yeah, okay. I'll stick around. Nice to see you, Abe.

Abe: All right, take care.

Carrie: Hope to see you soon.

Abe: Oh, you will.

Carrie: Okay.

Abe: Sweetheart, I -- I also know it's hard because I haven't been able to be a real husband to you lately.

Lexie: Abe, honey, you are a real husband, okay? You're a wonderful husband. You're a wonderful father. I don't want to lose you.

Abe: I'm so glad to hear you say that. Look, I know that I've been hard to live with. I've been short-tempered and I've been irritable and I -- you know, before this cancer scare, I was beginning to feel that you'd finally had it with me, that you wanted out.

Lexie: No! No, Abe, I don't ever want to lose you.

Abe: [Laughs] I'm so glad. I'm so glad 'cause I love you. I love you. I love you so much.

Lucas: I'm not gonna have this discussion in front of Sami.

Sami: Then you can leave because this is my apartment, and I'm not going anywhere.

Lucas: [Mockingly] This is my apartment.

Sami: What are you, a child?

Austin: Listen to me. We do need to talk. Can you do me a favor? Just do it for me, okay? Just give us some time alone.

Sami: Okay, Austin, because you asked me to. Thank you.

Austin: Thank you.

Lucas: Bye.

Austin: You misunderstood what I meant.

Lucas: Look, wait a second, all right?

Sami: [Screams]

Lucas: I knew it. You are so pathetic. Predictable.

Sami: Stop it, all right? I was just standing here looking for my car keys. You startled me.

Lucas: They're in the pocket in your purse where you always keep them. A little tip, if you're gonna live with Sami, and you ask her to leave the room 'cause you want to have a private conversation...

Austin: You know, you're pretty good at lurking around yourself, buddy boy.

Lucas: I wasn't lurking. I was passing by the door, and I heard you guys talking. And you know what? I'm not the one doing anything wrong here. I didn't misunderstand anything. You know, I know exactly what's going on between you and Carrie, and you're not gonna get away with it.

[Babies crying]

Mimi: Okay, now, I know you would love to have a boy, but it would be okay if a little girl popped out, right?

Shawn D.: Yeah. Daddy's little girl? Sure, as long as she's playing soccer and basketball and softball. And her Uncle Max is a race car driver, so she can train for the Indy.

Mimi: [Laughs] Wait there just a minute. What if she's not athletic? What if she's a girly girl, you know? And a race car driver?

Shawn D.: Yeah, well, I was just kidding about that part. She'll be athletic.

Mimi: You better be kidding about it all. And same goes if we have a son, too, right? I mean, if he wants to be a fashion designer, as opposed to being a baseball player, then that's fine, right?

Shawn D.: Yeah, it's -- yeah. He can design clothes for his dad.

Mimi: Unless, of course, he was a women's lingerie designer.

Shawn D.: Oh, God.

Mimi: Honey, I have a feeling that we're probably not gonna have much say. They're gonna be who they're gonna be.

Shawn D.: Now that you mention it, speaking of "they," Philip and I were doing all this research, and we actually learned something very interesting about in vitro fertilization, that your chances of having twins are much higher.

Shawn D.: Not only do they look alike, but they sound alike when they cry.

Mimi: Yeah, I don't know if she's hungry or wet or -- actually, I don't even know if the one I'm holding is the she because we've been passing them back and forth so much. We got to come up with a couple names here, honey.

Shawn D.: Okay, names, but that's not gonna help tell them apart.

Mimi: The boy will have the boy's name, and the girl will have -- oh, yeah, you're right. That's not gonna help us right now. But we did decide against the whole unisex-name thing, right, like, no Taylor, no Avery, or whatever? I can't believe we didn't think of at least one name before, let alone two.

Shawn D.: Actually, there is a name that I thought of that I kind of like.

Mimi: Oh, really? Guess what? I just thought of a name that I like. What's yours?

Shawn D.: Aaron.

Mimi: Shut up. I like Aaron!

Shawn D.: Really?

Mimi: Yeah!

Shawn D.: That's great. Then it's settled, then. Aaron Brady. It's a great name for a boy.

Mimi: Oh, oh. I was thinking e-r-I-n -- great name for a girl.

Shawn D.: You were?

Mimi: Uh-huh.

Shawn D.: Well, we can't use the same name for both of them. That won't help tell them apart. So we can either get rid of the names or we can flip a coin.

Mimi: I'm thinking I get to do the choosing because I did all the work.

Shawn D.: You're so right.

Mimi: Uh-huh. But that doesn't solve our problem right now. I mean, are you holding e-r-I-n or am I?

Shawn D.: That is a good question. Well, we can always use the foolproof method and just check the diapers.

Mimi: Ah.

Shawn D.: Right?

Mimi: Okay.

Shawn D.: So let's get in here and... a lass. That is our baby girl.

Mimi: There she is.

Shawn D.: Great minds think alike, and she's just as smart as her mom. I'm telling you, Erin Brady is a great name for an Irish Lass.

[Babies crying]

Billie: You never would have slept with me if you hadn't believed that you had lost Hope forever.

Bo: That's very true. But I wasn't using you to forget her.

Billie: Well, 'cause I got a confession for you. It might make it easier on you. I never would have slept with you if I thought you still had a chance with her. I'm glad that, you know, I could be there to help take some of the pain away.

Bo: Yeah, me too. You know, I can't believe Hope and I are getting a divorce.

Billie: I can't believe she won't talk to you.

Bo: Yeah, well... it's definitely over between us. But I don't know if I'll ever be free to move on and love again, and I don't really want to lead you on.

Billie: Oh, come on. I'm a big girl. I'll be okay. I just want to -- want to help you in any way I can.

Bo: Well, you have, and I appreciate that... more than you know. Yeah, we better get back to town.

Patrick: I'm sorry if I pushed you into making love.

Hope: No. No. Patrick, you didnít. I wanted you to make love to me.. It's just now that it's the morning after, I just -- I realize that I really wasn't ready. I just don't see myself as a single woman yet.

Patrick: I understand. Being with me felt like you were cheating on Bo.

Abe: So that's why I came home late last night.

Lexie: Abe, you were just promoted to commissioner. So what were you doing out on a drug raid?

Abe: Well, I was just doing a ride-along with a black and white, you know, to observe. The call came in, we were just a quarter mile away, so we took it.

Lexie: Did you find any drugs?

Abe: The premises were clean. The customers we searched, they were clean, as well. There were a couple of people that escaped through a window. I'm pretty sure they were hiding something.

Lexie: Mmm. Well, sorry your bust was a bust.

Abe: [Laughs] Yeah, well, there was some good that came out of it, though. You know, one of my officers found a bracelet that belonged to Jada. It was exactly like the one I gave you for your birthday.

Lexie: Really? So will you be observing again tonight?

Abe: No. No. I'm ready for a nice, quiet dinner with my wife. You know, I got to tell you, nothing means more to me than my marriage and my family. Sweetheart, um... I'm sorry for thinking you were pulling away from me. I realize that I'm the one that was pushing you away, and I want to fix that.

Lexie: Sounds good to me.

Abe: Good. I'm gonna let you get back to work.

Lexie: Okay. I'll walk you out.

Abe: Sweetheart, I love you.

Lexie: I love you, too. Thanks again for the flowers.

Abe: See you.

Lexie: Okay.

Carrie: Lexie.

Lexie: Ah. You're still here.

Carrie: Yeah, I signed up to volunteer at the nursery, and I was on my way to get the orientation packet.

Lexie: Carrie, you sure it's not going to be too difficult for you, I mean, if you do have trouble conceiving, being around all the little babies in the nursery?

Carrie: We'll see, won't we? I'm sure it'll be fine.

Shawn D.: Hello.

Carrie: Hey, coz.

Shawn D.: What's up?

Carrie: Mrs. Brady.

Shawn D.: Thank you for fitting us in so last minute.

Lexie: Oh, it's my pleasure. Hopefully I'll have some good news for you.

Carrie: [Gasps] You're not...

Mimi: Pregnant? No, not yet.

Shawn D.: Trying to -- learning about some in vitro fertilization.

Carrie: Oh, well, good luck.

Mimi: Thank you.

Lexie: I'll call you in a little while.

Carrie: Please do. Bye.

Shawn D.: Good seeing you.

Carrie: You too. Call me.

Shawn D.: All right.

Sami: [Clears throat] Hey, Carrie.

Carrie: Hi.

Sami: What are you doing here?

Carrie: Oh, um, Lexie was reviewing some tests for me.

Sami: Oh, really?

Carrie: What are you doing here?

Sami: Oh, I just came here 'cause I was -- I lost my earring. So I just thought maybe it was here, so I've been looking around. I thought maybe I might have left it up in the nursery. Do you mind helping me look for it?

Carrie: Sure, yeah.

Lucas: I heard you tell Sami that Carrie was gonna dump me and get back together with you again. That's not gonna happen, all right? We're engaged. Have you seen the size of the ring I put on her finger?

Austin: Rings can be taken off. Engagements can be broken.

Lucas: You know, I wouldn't expect that response from you, especially after I misunderstood everything you said, right? Sounds to me like you want Carrie to dump me, is that it?

Austin: What Carrie does is completely up to her.

Lucas: Well, I think you're delusional. I think you're a masochist. Carrie doesn't want to have anything to do with you. When are you gonna wake up, huh? When are you gonna accept that?

Austin: I am never going to accept it because Carrie and I belong together. And she knows it, too. Ready, aim, fire.

Billie: Oh, I could use some serious coffee.

Bo: Let's sit over here, closer to the coffee.

Billie: That's a good idea. Just hook me up with an IV.

Bo: Yeah, right.

Caroline: Good morning.

Bo: Hey, ma.

Billie: Good morning, Caroline.

Bo: Morning.

Caroline: I left a lot of messages on your answering machine. How come you didn't call me back?

Bo: I'm sorry. Is everything okay?

Caroline: Oh, yeah. Yeah, we're fine. Coffee?

Billie: Yes, please.

Bo: Yeah, thanks, Ma. Just need some breakfast badly.

Caroline: Do you need a menu?

Bo: No. No. No. I'll have -- what do I want? Pancakes and, um, some sausage.

Caroline: Okay.

Billie: And I'll have a cheese omelet, fresh fruit, and wheat toast, please. No butter.

Caroline: Good. Ooh!

Bo: Thanks, Mom. I'll get it.

Caroline: Hear anything from Hope? You know when she's coming back?

Bo: I don't think that she is, Ma.

Caroline: Bo, it can't come to that, you know? You got to talk her out of the divorce.

Bo: I tried, Ma. I called her. She hung up on me. I e-mailed her. She blocked my messages. Our only communication right now is through her lawyers.

Caroline: Well, you can't just accept that. And you can't let anybody talk you out of doing everything you can to get Hope back.

Billie: I told Bo the same thing, Mrs. Brady. Believe me, no one knows better than me that Bo and Hope are meant to be together.

Caroline: Yes, everybody does know that. But be honest, Billie. It wouldn't break your heart if they split up, would it?

Hope: I know I said my marriage was over. It's just that I have been married to Bo for so many years that I feel like a married woman cheating on her husband. If I think about it, I'm not really married anymore, am I? Bo moved on before I even left Salem. And when I saw him and Billie in bed together... oh, God. So why am I tied to my conscience when he isn't?

Patrick: Right. But it still feels strange for you to be here like this with me.

Hope: Yeah. Even though the wedding ring is off my finger, I feel married.

Patrick: Maybe that's what you want.

Hope: No. I wish things were different, Patrick, but the way things turned out, I don't want anything to do with Bo. That's why the only way I'll communicate with him is through the attorneys. It is over. Hey, I don't want to talk about it anymore, okay? [Knock on door] Who's that?

Patrick: I took the liberty of ordering breakfast. Ah. Right over there would be great. Here you go.

Waiter: Thank you, Mr. Lockhart. And the hotel menu.

Patrick: Oh, thanks. [Chuckles] Take a look at that.

Hope: What is all that? What did you do?

Patrick: It's all for you.

Lexie: Now, I know this won't sound romantic, but we'll be combining an egg with sperm in a laboratory dish.

Mimi: But I don't need surgery, do I?

Lexie: If you mean cutting or laparoscopic surgery, no. But the procedure will be performed by a surgeon who will be inserting a needle into your ovary to remove the eggs.

Shawn D.: So how long before we know if the eggs have been fertilized?

Lexie: About 18 hours. If one or more begin to grow as embryos, we incubate and observe for two to three days, sometimes longer.

Mimi: And then if everything looks good...

Lexie: Then we transfer the embryos into your uterus.

Shawn D.: So, Lexie, what are the odds that all of this will actually work out?

Lexie: Well, the fact that Mimi is so young is definitely in your favor. In women 35 and under, pregnancies result in 37% of IVF attempts.

Mimi: That's all? That doesn't seem very good.

Lexie: It's about the same success rate as in naturally conceived pregnancies.

Mimi: Really? Wow. Okay, so once the egg is implanted, then it's just like any normal pregnancy.

Lexie: Yeah, more or less, which means the dangers are the same, okay? Alcohol, smoking, especially secondhand smoke. Also, you need to maintain a healthy diet and start taking your vitamins right away.

Mimi: Right away. So how soon can we start the procedure?

Lexie: Soon.

Shawn D.: Well, let's get started now.

Lexie: [Laughs] [Baby cries]

Sami: So the nurse couldn't find my earring. She said she didn't see it.

Carrie: Oh, sorry. You sure it's not back at the apartment on the bathroom sink or on the floor?

Sami: I hope so. Aw. Wow -- so, so adorable.

Carrie: Yeah, they are.

Sami: Wow. I remember when Will was that little. Parenting is so unbelievable. I mean, Will has been through so much, and he is such a great kid. And, God, he has been through so much. I remember when I first found out I was pregnant, I did everything wrong. I ran away from home. I didn't get a doctor's help or anything. I'm so lucky that Will turned out healthy.

Carrie: Yeah.

Sami: And let's be honest, pregnancy is not easy, but it's so worth it. I hope I get to do it again. But I guess I'll have a lot of bad habits to overcome this time, right? Not that you have any bad habits.

Carrie: What are you talking about? I have plenty. I bite my nails.

Sami: Carrie, biting your nails is not a problem.

Carrie: Okay.

Sami: Your kids are gonna be perfect, and you know it. You know, it was so sweet of you to donate the money from that dance contest to children with birth defects. Is it because you remember that family that we saw in the ER, and they lost their baby? That is so sad. I mean, our family has had to deal with some pretty scary baby issues. I mean, mom's miscarriage and Claire's illness, and remember when will was sick when he was little? I can't imagine going up against genetics. But you don't have to worry about that. Look at you, you're perfect. And Lucas, he had Will, so he's perfect, too. And you two will have great kids.

Carrie: I have to go.

Sami: Oh, yeah. Me too. I actually am, um -- I'm meeting someone. So I'll see you later.

Carrie: Okay. [Babies crying]

Lucas: You know you're out of your mind. Carrie's not questioning the fact that we're gonna get married. And if she is, it's because you put the squeeze on her when you guys were handcuffed together. Right? Yeah, I knew it. That's okay. I thought so. But it doesn't matter what you said, right? 'Cause nothing worked 'cause it's over between you two. It's over, and you're just holding on to this desperate hope. It's futile. It's kind of pathetic.

Austin: Okay. Okay.

Lucas: You know what, Austin? It's really hard for me to stay angry at you. It is because I feel sorry for you. Carrie chose me over you, we're engaged, we're gonna get married, and you're gonna be the best man. It can't be easy. But you got to get over this. I mean, women aren't easy to get over, but you got to stop carrying this torch for Carrie. It's stupid, you know? She's in love with me. She's never gonna be in love with you again.

Austin: Yeah, well, Lucas, I'm not giving up on her. And you know what? I don't think she's given up on me.

Lucas: Well, I think that's all in your mind.

Austin: That's okay.

Lucas: I'm sorry about that, too, 'cause I don't blame you. If I was gonna lose Carrie, a woman like that, I'd do anything I had to do to make sure that didn't happen.

Austin: I'm really glad you're understanding. That makes me feel so much better.

Lucas: Good.

Austin: But if that is the way you feel, then why did you give up on Sami?

Bo: Ma, Billie has been nothing but supportive of me working things out with hope. It's just -- it's not gonna happen.

Caroline: I'm just suggesting --

Bo: I know what you're suggesting, Mom. I just want some breakfast so I can go to work.

Caroline: Fine. Fine. Cheese omelet...

Bo: I'm sorry about that.

Billie: Come on. She and Hope have a long history together. She's got grandsons.

Bo: And she's got a granddaughter with you.

Billie: But I don't blame her for hating me. I pulled a lot of stuff in the past with you.

Bo: She doesn't hate you.

Billie: I can't believe you don't hate me. Bo, I'm the reason that Hope left you.

Bo: No, you are not -- look, I am responsible for the mistakes I've made, not only with Hope and Shawn and Zack, but with you and Chelsea.

Billie: No, you have been so good to me. You're the one who taught me to hold out for true happiness. I didn't think I deserved it until I met you.

Bo: Of course you deserve happiness. I'm glad you realized that and got rid of Lockhart.

Billie: Bo.

Bo: What? Listen, he's out there on the run someplace. I'm gonna find him and bring him to justice.

Billie: Justice for what, flirting with Hope?

Bo: No, being a con man and a killer.

Billie: No, he matches the description of a con man and a killer.

Bo: Yeah, he happens to match it exactly. I'm gonna bring him in before he hurts other women.

Caroline: Frankie, this is mom. Frankie, I need a favor. I want Hope's phone number. I really need to get in touch with her.

Hope: Oh, it smells beautiful. I can't believe you did all of this for me.

Patrick: I didnít. It's all compliments of the hotel.

Hope: Why would they do that?

Patrick: I've done them a few favors in the past.

Hope: What kind of favors? I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything. I should never have asked. I have to just remember that I am not a cop here. There's something I do have to tell you, though.

Patrick: Okay, what is it?

Hope: Last night was really wonderful, and I hope to God that I am not leading you on. I can't make love to you again, until the divorce is final, until this whole thing is more real to me, okay?

Patrick: Sure. Yeah, I understand. Whatever you want. But I hope there's still something I'm allowed to do.

Hope: What's that? Just smell my perfume, that's it?

Patrick: Yeah. Yeah. And kiss your neck... and your lips.

Lexie: I know you're anxious to get started, but today might be rushing things a bit.

Mimi: Why?

Lexie: When was the last time you made love?

Shawn D.: Oh, like, three hours ago, maybe four.

Lexie: Somehow I suspected that.

Shawn D.: Why is that?

Lexie: Because you're newlyweds, hello.

Shawn D.: Oh, she knew. Well, what does it matter the last time that we, um, you know, had our little, you know?

Lexie: We don't want you to have sexual intercourse for a few days.

Shawn D.: Why?

Lexie: Oh, Shawn. Listen, I'm going to write you out a prescription for prenatal vitamins, Mimi. Here you go.

Mimi: Thank you.

Lexie: You're welcome. Now, I'm gonna send you down to OB for some tests.. You'll be meeting with their reproductive endocrinologist. And as soon as everything works out and checks out, you'll be able to proceed.

Mimi: Wow. Thank you so much, Lexie. This is so exciting.

Lexie: You're welcome.

Mimi: All right, wish us luck.

Lexie: Oh, good luck.

Shawn D.: Thanks, Lexie.

Lexie: Okay.

Mimi: I don't know where to go.

Shawn D.: Hmm?

Mimi: I think this way.

Lucas: Me and Sami again. That's never gonna happen, all right? It's over between us. You know, I've been hurt too many times by her. I wouldn't want her anyway. It's kind of the same thing. Carrie's been hurt too many times by you. [ Doorbell rings]

Carrie: Hi, Austin.

Austin: Hi, uh...

Carrie: Lucas, I thought I heard your voice.

Austin: Listen, you know, I'm really glad you stopped by. I need to talk to you.

Carrie: Hi.

Lucas: How are you doing? Uh, look, I know Austin's been pressuring you to tell him that you still have feelings for him, but you got to tell him that it's over between you two, and we're getting married. There's absolutely no chance you're ever gonna be with him again.

Carrie: [Thinking] Come on, Lexie, call and tell me those tests were wrong so I can be with Austin.

Lexie: I would appreciate it if you would call for an appointment.

Sami: I was just in the neighborhood.

Lexie: Sami, what the hell do you want now?

Sami: I saw Carrie in here with you earlier. And I just want to remind you that if you say anything to her to make her change her mind about choosing Austin, you will lose your husband, your family, and your career will be history.

Lexie: You know what, Sami? You just helped me make a decision. I am not letting you get away with this anymore. I am calling Carrie right now and telling her the truth.

Austin: You can't deny our love, can you?

Lucas: Come on, Carrie. Let's go. We're out of here.

Austin: Not until she answers me.

Alex: You weren't supposed to see that.

Marlena: But I did.

Lexie: You are worse than you ever were, you know that?

Tek: And we're through putting up with it.

Shawn D.: My mom, my dad, Zack -- that family is dead.

Bo: You really believe that?
