Hope: Patrick, wait.
Patrick: I don't want to talk Hope.
Hope: Then let me do the talking. I'm sorry if it seemed like I was prying, and you' on the island, it's none of my business. But can't you just understand how I feel? We've grown so close, and I know very little about you.
Patrick: Maybe you're better off not knowing.
Hope: I don't believe that. Patrick, you have been an incredible friend to me. When I left Salem, I was an emotional wreck. Losing my son was the most devastating thing that's ever happened to me... and leaving Bo. And your support, your comfort, it's meant everything to me. I just wish there was something that I could do for you in return. So my wanting to get to know you better, Patrick, it's because I genuinely care about you.
Bo: You know, the more I think about that alert, the more I'm sure we're looking for Lockhart.
Abe: "Wanted for questioning the murder of Sarah Haniford and others. Description -- 6'3", 190 pounds, blue eyes, handsome, good manners, able to charm. Victims are attractive, usually women of means. He's smart, calculating, and with good patience. He gains his victims' trust before he strikes."
Bo: Yeah, I'd say that fits our boy to a "T."
Abe: Well, if it is Lockhart, no wonder he's left town.
Bo: Told you he was bad news.
Abe: Well, somebody's bad news. And you're right, the00 description could be Lockhart.
Bo: Hope was always defending him -- Billie, too. Good thing she broke up with him when she did. Chelsea could have lost her mom...again.
Abe: You have any idea where he is?
Bo: No, I don't, but I think we should do everything we can to help the Chicago PD catch him.
Kate: Ah, there you are. We've been looking for you.
Chelsea: I told you I was coming here.
Kate: So have you talked to your father?
Chelsea: No. He's busy.
Kate: Thank God.
Chelsea: Kate, if you came down here thinking that you could talk me out of doing this, you wasted a trip. As soon as he is done in there, I'm telling him everything.
Billie: Good for you, Chelsea. I know that last night was very frightening for you. But something good's gonna come out of this. I promise.
Chelsea: Yeah, it will, for all of us. You know, I didn't deserve to have Shawn, Philip, or my dad save me last night.
Billie: That is not true.
Chelsea: But I'm gonna make it up to everybody. I just hope that dad can forgive me for all the awful things I've done.
Kate: You can't be serious.
Billie: Oh, stay out of it, Mother.
Chelsea: Dad has to hear the truth -- that I was working against him and Hope.
Kate: No. No, he doesnít. He doesn't have to hear the truth. Bo and Hope are getting a divorce, end of story. Just let it be. This is your mother's chance to be with your father. This is your chance to finally be together as a family.
Billie: Don't listen to her, Chelsea.
Kate: What am I gonna do with you, both of you? Listen, I am not going to let you mess up your lives. That's it.
Nurse: You can get dressed now. I'll give these pictures to Dr. Ling.
Nurse: Your mother's waiting outside. She seems pretty anxious.
Lexie: Would you send her in, please? Thanks.
Celeste: How are you doing, darling?
Lexie: Scared. Other than that, I'm fine. I'm fine. I know that breast cancer can be very treatable. It's just that Abe and I have been through so much, Mom. You know, what if I need a mastectomy?
Celeste: Darling, if that happens, we'll deal with it. But don't go thinking the worst now. Listen, you said yourself that there's a very good chance that this lump is benign.
Lexie: Right. Right. I have to stay positive. I'm just so surprised to learn that there's a history of breast cancer in our family.
Celeste: Yes, but, Alexandra, that doesn't mean that you're gonna get it.. The important thing, darling, is that you've been vigilant about your health all this time and that you discovered the lump early, and now you're getting it checked. So have you told Abraham?
Lexie: No. I don't want him to worry in case it's nothing at all.
Celeste: But, darling, you were there for him when he lost his sight. He will be here for you now.
Celeste: Maybe? Alexandra, Abraham is a good man, darling. There is no question that he'll be totally supportive.
Lexie: I've decided I'm going to tell Abe about Tek. After that, he may not be feeling so supportive.
Celeste: Oh, Alexandra.
Lexie: I have to do it, Mom. This breast cancer scare is a wake-up call that I have got to reduce the stress in my life. And there's no quicker way of doing that than stopping the lies. I am determined. I refuse to let Alex North and Sami Brady blackmail me any longer. What is it?
Celeste: Darling, there may be a complication.
Lexie: A complication? About what? What is it?
Sami: Hey, Glenna, I'm here to pick up my son's medical forms for summer camp.
Glenna: Will Roberts. Here you go.
Sami: Thanks. [Screams] Damn it. What the hell are you doing here?
Eugenia: That's cute. Um, hey, Glenna, I'm here to pick up some paperwork for Lucas for the hospital board meeting.
Glenna: I think that's in another station. I'll be right back.
Eugenia: Okay. Am I the reason that you're still standing here?
Sami: I was just wondering if you're ever gonna get bored of being Lucas' lowly gofer.
Eugenia: For your information, I'm his executive assistant, and I offered to come pick these papers up for him.
Eugenia: Well, don't you get tired of being Austin's lowly gofer?
Sami: I know you don't really care, but, actually, things are going really great for me right now.
Eugenia: You know what? You're right, Samster. I don't care.
Sami: I love working with Austin. We make great partners. And I do mean partners in more ways than one. Oh, well, suffice it to say, my life is perfect.
Eugenia: Now, why do I just find that just so hard to believe?
Sami: I don't know. But, anyway, it's true. I'm not gonna mess it up this time, and I want to be good. So... look, I do. I want to be worthy of Austin.
Eugenia: You good? Ha! That's funny. Good Sami is like an oxymoron, emphasis on the moron.
Sami: You're just jealous because Lucas has Carrie, and I have Austin.
Eugenia: You don't have him yet, Sami.
Sami: You've heard of going after the brass ring, right? I'm gonna go after a gold ring on, um, this little finger.
Eugenia: I don't see why Austin would ever want to marry a loser like you again. It's just really sad how you just keep deluding yourself. [Balloon pops ]
Eugenia: Bubble's gonna burst just like that little balloon. So you enjoy this little moment of happiness because it won't last long. With you, Sami, it never does. You know, Austin, he's just gonna drop you flat, and I'll bet money on it.
Glenna: Can I get in on that bet, too?
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Lexie: These vibes you're getting, can you please be a little more specific for once?
Celeste: I'm sorry, darling. It's just not clear.
Lexie: Mom, you know, you and your intuition. All it does is stress me out, you know? Right now, I don't need any more stress in my life. [Sighs] Okay. All right. That is me letting go all of my anxiety. [Sighs] I never should have let myself be blackmailed. I am putting a stop to all the secrets and lies, starting with Sami Brady.
Celeste: Well, what, exactly, did Samantha ask you to do for her?
Lexie: She said she would tell Abe about me and Tek unless -- well, unless I told her sister Carrie the most horrible lie, which I did.
Celeste: What lie, Alexandra?
Lexie: Carrie's ready to settle down and have children, and she was torn between two men.
Celeste: Austin and Lucas.
Lexie: Right. I told Carrie that if she and Austin had children together, that it was a strong possibility that their children would have serious birth defects.
Celeste: Oh, my God, Alexandra.
Lexie: Sami doesn't want Carrie to have Lucas, either.
Celeste: I don't know how this girl sleeps at night.
Lexie: You know what, Mom? She's in for a rude awakening. Because once I tell Carrie the truth, Sami is going to end up alone and miserable. And no one deserves it more.
Sami: Ha ha. What is the deal? Does everyone in this stupid hospital know my personal business?
Eugenia: But face it, Sami, it's not just the hospital. The whole town knows you're a pathetic loser.
Sami: The whole town is wrong. And I'm going to prove it to them all by living the rest of my life happily ever after with Austin.
Eugenia: That's B.S., and you want to know why?
Sami: No, but I suspect you're going to tell me.
Eugenia: Because you aren't going to have any happily ever after with anybody. Not with Austin, because, well, you're still in love with Lucas. And not with Lucas, because he wouldn't get back together with you if you was the last woman on earth.
Billie: Stop meddling in my life.
Kate: I'm your mother. I'm concerned. I'm not meddling.
Billie: You are meddling, with a capital "M." You do it to all your children, and now you're doing it to your grandchildren. What you just told Chelsea is outrageous.
Kate: I don't think so. I don't think it's outrageous to want my daughter to be with the man that she loves. Bo and Hope are history. And my hat's off to Chelsea for helping make that happen.
Billie: Bo and Hope are not history. And you can put your hat back on because Chelsea has decided she doesn't want to be Kate Roberts, Jr. Listen to me, Chelsea. I am so glad that you've decided to come clean with your father. I'm proud of you. It takes a lot of courage to admit what you've done. And I want you to know that I fully support your telling your father everything.
Chelsea: Thank you.
Billie: Okay, now, I'm gonna go see what's keeping Bo.
Kate: I love my daughter dearly. But if you listen to her, your life is going to be a disaster.
Abe: Thank you.
Bo: We're talking about some serious charges here, Abe. If Lockhart's the murderer, he's gonna wind up on death row.
Billie: What are you talking about? Patrick's not a killer. I know you don't like him, but he has left town. He is out of your life, so give it a rest, okay? I won't let you keep making crazy accusations about the man I loved.
Patrick: I know you care about me, Hope.
Hope: Patrick, if there's someone on this island that you have deep feelings for, you know what? That would really explain a lot. I always kind of wondered why your relationship with Billie never worked out.
Patrick: Hope, look, I know you mean well, but you don't know anything about my relationship with Billie.
Hope: I'm sorry, I just --
Patrick: Look, I don't want to talk about my past, okay?
Hope: Keeping it bottled up inside of you isn't going to do you any good.. Why won't you let me help you? I'm gonna find out what this secret of yours is.
Abe: Um, I'll be back.
Bo: Before you start defending him --
Billie: No, I know Patrick a lot better than you do, and there's no way he's a killer.
Bo: Why don't you take a look at this? Tell me it's not your boyfriend.
Billie: [Scoffs] This could be 100 different guys.
Bo: Oh, come on. You've got your head in the sand.
Billie: No, listen. I am giving Patrick the benefit of the doubt, something you've never been able to do.
Bo: You sound just like Hope -- both of you defending him.
Billie: That's because he's a good guy. We're never going to agree on this, so why don't we just change the subject?
Bo: Fine with me.
Billie: Have you heard from Hope?
Bo: No, I havenít.
Billie: She still might change her mind about the divorce.
Bo: Yeah, well, she hasn't contacted me. Hey, what's up with Chelsea? What does she want to talk to me about?
Billie: I think she's serious about making a fresh start.
Bo: Well, that's good.
Billie: Yeah. She really wants to clean up her act. I just hope she sticks to it.
Kate: Chelsea, Chelsea. Listen to me. If you're feeling an overpowering urge to tell the truth, then just lie down. Let it pass. Because, believe me, if you blow your cover, your mother does not have a chance with your father.
Chelsea: Then maybe it wasn't meant to be.
Kate: She loves him. She loves him. She has always loved him. Look, I made a lot of mistakes with my kids, okay? And the only way that I can make up for it now is to make sure that they're with the people they love.
Chelsea: But that's not your job.
Kate: Chelsea, do you want your family to be together?
Chelsea: Of course I do, but I'm not gonna sit here and lie anymore. My dad is suffering because of me, and that is killing me. No. I'm gonna tell him. I'm gonna tell him I faked the e-mail to hope and made her think that he wanted the divorce. I already took his son away. I'm not gonna take his wife away, too.
Kate: Okay. Okay. Are you prepared, then, to have Hope come back into town? I mean, are you ready to see her sitting there in the court while you're on trial? Because, believe me, she's not gonna forgive you for the death of her child. She's gonna do everything she possibly can to make sure that you get the maximum sentence. So be warned because you may be spending the next 20 years of your life behind bars.
Kate: You're suddenly very quiet. It's pretty scary, isn't it, thinking about going to jail? I mean, not only do you lose your freedom, well, you lose your youth. You could lose your beauty. By the time you get out, you'd be a middle-aged woman starting her life over -- what life she has left.
Chelsea: It's not my life you care about. It's Billie's.
Kate: You're right. I do care about Billie and what happens to her. But I care about you, and I want what's best for both of you. And if Bo and Hope don't find out about those e-mails, then Hope will stay wherever the hell she is, and Bo will end up with your mother. And the two of them will stand by your side at that trial, and you'll get a shorter sentence or no sentence at all. And the three of you will be a family. Chelsea, they love you very much. They don't want to lose you again.
Chelsea: I don't want that, either.
Kate: Then keep your mouth shut. Your father is either going to lose his wife or his daughter. It's up to you to decide which one it is.
Billie: So what are you gonna do about this?
Bo: I'm gonna call the D.A. in Chicago and tell him the guy he's looking for could be Lockhart.
Billie: And you're going along with this?
Abe: If it's not Patrick, we'll find out. We have to cover all our bases..
Billie: This is wrong, and I think you know it.
Abe: You know, Bo's a good police officer. He has a right to his suspicions.
Billie: His suspicions are groundless. Hope and I think the world of Patrick. That's why Bo can't stand him, and that's why he's gonna cause trouble for Patrick.
Hope: Excuse me, sir. Do you know Patrick Lockhart?
Man: Sure. Everyone on the island knows him. He's been coming here for years.
Hope: Do you, um, know if there's a woman in his life?
Man: Patrick knows many women. But there's only one that ever captured his heart.
Alma: Patrick, corazůn. Why do you throw pebbles in the sea? You know the sea will only bring them back to you.
Patrick: You're so beautiful.
Alma: Am I?
Patrick: You know you are. There's not a man on this island who doesn't stop in his tracks when you walk by.
Alma: But none of those men interest me -- only you.
Patrick: How did I get so lucky?
Alma: I'm the lucky one. But why do I feel you're going to be unfaithful to me?
Sami: Lexie, I want to tell you something.
Lexie: Interesting. I have something I want to tell you, too, Sami.
Sami: Look, everything worked out for the best. Austin and I are together, and Lucas and Carrie are engaged. And I am really happy for Lucas and my sister.
Lexie: Isn't that nice?
Sami: And, yeah, I admit that it's easier to be happy for them because everything is going so well for me, but it all worked out for the best.
Lexie: Sami. Remember, I said I had something to tell you, too.
Sami: Yeah, what is it?
Lexie: Bad news for you, I'm afraid. I've made an important decision, Sami. I'm not lying for you anymore. I'm going to tell Carrie and Austin everything.
Sami: You're gonna what?
Lexie: You heard me. I'm explaining to them how you blackmailed me into telling Carrie that sick lie that she and Austin couldn't have healthy children together. And after hearing that, I'm guessing that Austin, Lucas, and Carrie will never speak to you again.
Celeste: Oh, spirits and forces of good in the universe, I call on you to grant my daughter Alexandra peace and good health of mind, spirit, and body.
Eugenia: Excuse me, Celeste.
Celeste: Ah, Eugenia.
Eugenia: Do you mind if I join you?
Celeste: No, darling, not at all.
Eugenia: Can I ask a favor of you? There's just something I need to know about Sami Brady. I was wondering if you, you know, could sense any, like, vibes about her future with Austin Reed, and if, you know, her sister Carrie has a future with Lucas.
Celeste: You have a long-standing vendetta with Samantha, yes?
Eugenia: Oh, my God. You're good. Well, did you read my mind or my tea leaves?
Celeste: What tea leaves, darling? That's a tea bag, huh? Actually, I was reading your aura. You know, Eugenia, revenge is dangerous. It can lead to tears, trouble, tribulation.
Eugenia: Oh. Well, do you mean for me or for Sami?
Sami: You can't do this, Lexie, not unless you're prepared to lose your husband and your son when he finds out that you cheated on him with Tek.
Lexie: Abe and I have overcome some serious problems in the past, Sami. And every time life has thrown something bad at us, it's only made our love grow deeper.
Sami: And that's why you're cheating on him? Look, you are crazy. Abe will leave you, and he will kick you to the curb. So go ahead. Blow the whistle. See where it gets you.
Lexie: Oh, I'd much prefer thinking of where it's going to get you.
Sami: You are the doctor here. You are the one who told Carrie that she and Austin, if they had children, would have birth defects. How could I think of something like that?
Lexie: Because you're you, Sami. That's how you operate. And everyone knows that.
Sami: You will ruin your reputation -- not just as a wife and as a mother, but as a doctor, too. You will lose your license to practice medicine. Are you prepared to throw that all away?
Lexie: Unfortunately for you, yes, I am.
Sami: You're bluffing.
Lexie: Unh-unh. I'm through lying, Sami.
Sami: No. No, what is really going on here? What would make you do something so crazy?
Lexie: You really want to know? This morning, I found a lump in my breast. And something as scary as that puts every other fear in perspective, Sami. So I have made up my mind. I am not going to allow you or anyone else to control my life anymore.
Sami: Lexie, Lexie! Look, okay, I'm sorry that you found a lump. But come on, that doesn't mean --
Lexie: It means that I am going to rid my life of all the poison, Sami. For starters, I am going to tell Carrie the truth, that she can have a healthy family with Austin. And once she hears that, I'm pretty sure that she's going to break off her engagement with Lucas and go back to the man she really loves. So neither Austin, Carrie, or Lucas will ever forgive you for this, Sami.
Hope: What can you tell me about this woman on the island, the one Patrick goes to visit?
Man: If you want to know about Patrick, there's only one person on this island who can give you that information.
Hope: You mean this woman.
Man: Her name is Alma.
Hope: Alma. Where can I find her?
Man: You see that path?
Man: It leads to the beach. Follow it, and all your questions will be answered.
Hope: Thank you.
Patrick: How could I ever be unfaithful to you? Alma, look at me. I swear that will never happen. Don't you know how much I love you? Your name is written on my heart. I know Alma means soul, and you are my soul. Don't move.
Alma: What is it?
Patrick: I'll be right back. It's your favorite.
Alma: You remembered.
Patrick: I also remembered the legend -- how it only grows on this island, how it has the power to bring back a lost love if that love is great enough. Don't be upset. You and I have that kind of love.
Alma: And you must always remember that as long as you bring me this flower, I will always be with you. Nothing can ever separate us -- not the ocean, not the passage of time, not even death.
Hope: [Thinking] Patrick, tell me about her.
Hope: If you have someone special on the island, if you're in love, I'm happy for you. Is that why you come here, because of her? Because of the memories you share?
Patrick: Yes, okay? That's why I come here.
Hope: This must be where he's been coming.
Bo: Less than positive, but more than a hunch. Definitely something worth looking into. I'll, uh, send Lockhart's rap sheet over to you. That I don't know. He skipped town before I could find him. Um, I don't think he's been in touch with anybody here. His mom and a couple siblings live here, but when I talked to them, they said they didn't know where he was. Yeah, okay. Good luck to you boys in Chicago. I mean, I hope you catch this son of a bitch before he hurts another innocent woman.
Billie: If you hadn't gone down there -- oh, my God, we almost lost her again.
Bo: But we didnít. It's gonna be okay.
Billie: No, it's not okay. I don't know what I'd do without you. Thank you so much for going down there. I don't know how to thank you. Oh thank you.
Spokesman: Chelsea Brady is the long-lost daughter of Salem Police Detective Bo Brady and ex-officer Billie Reed -- two very happy parents right now, as I'm sure you can imagine. Detective Brady, can you tell our viewers at he, who have been following this ordeal every step of the way, exactly how you feel to have your daughter home safe?
Bo: I'm just happy and relieved my family's safe.
Abe: He still means a lot to you, doesn't he?
Billie: Don't worry, Abe. I really am praying that he and Hope get back together. You know what? I think I finally realize that when you love someone, you want him to be happy, even if that means they're with someone else, and you're left alone. Bo deserves to be with the woman he loves.
Chelsea: I don't want to go to jail.
Kate: Well, then?
Chelsea: But I almost died in that sewer last night.
Kate: But you didnít.
Chelsea: Right. Because Shawn, Bo, and Uncle Philip saved me. And the best way I can repay them for that is to be a better person.
Kate: Oh, Chelsea.
Chelsea: So even if Hope goes ballistic, which I know she will, and even if I get more years in prison, which I know I'm gonna hate --
Kate: Yes, you will.
Chelsea: But I have to tell my dad the truth that I used his password to get into his e-mail account, that I sent Hope an e-mail making her think he wanted the divorce.
Kate: This is the first time that it's been hard for me to believe that you're my granddaughter.
Chelsea: I'm sorry.
Kate: I love you very much. I love you very much, but I am not going to stay here and watch you throw your life away.
Eugenia: If I seem, well, overly interested in Sami, it's just because she just screwed up my life so many times, and I'm not gonna let her get away with it again.
Celeste: Has Samantha threatened you?
Eugenia: You know, if you are on the same continent with Sami, you can consider yourself threatened. But, no, I mean, she hasn't made a direct threat. It's probably because I stay as far away from her as possible. Please, can't you tell me anything?
Celeste: Well, darling, what is it you want to know?
Eugenia: I want to know whether Austin will dump her, and Carrie will leave Lucas.
Celeste: Well, I'm sorry. I can't say for sure. But I can tell you this, those four people are in for a great deal of turmoil and heartache, and it's all thanks to Samantha.
Eugenia: That's what I thought. I mean, I feel bad for the other people, especially Lucas. But if there's any justice in the world, please let that bitch get exactly what she deserves.
Sami: You're really serious about this.
Lexie: Oh, I am totally serious, Sami. For the sake of my health, I am determined to get rid of all the stress in my life.
Sami: And transfer it to me.
Lexie: Exactly. As your world comes crashing down on you, I am gonna be free.
Sami: You're gonna be alone. You realize that, right? You'll have to go through all this without Abe, without Theo.
Lexie: Without guilt, Sami. As for Abe and Theo, well, what will be will be. But at least I will have finally done the right thing. And everyone in Salem will know that you are still the same lying, conniving, evil person that you have always been. You're not worthy of love, Sami. You never will be. [ Footsteps approach]
Sami: Oh, my God. What am I gonna do?
Kate: Oh, my. Well, from the look on your face, I can only assume it's good news... for me, of course. So what is it? Is Austin finished with you, finally?
Lexie: Mom, congratulate me. I just had it out with Sami Brady.
Celeste: Well, good for you.
Lexie: Mm-hmm. I told her exactly what I'm going to do. I can't tell you how unburdened I feel.
Celeste: Well, darling, telling the truth can be very cathartic. But now you still have to tell Abraham about Tek, before Samantha tells him.
Lexie: Yeah, I know.
Celeste: And don't fool yourself, Alexandra. It won't be easy.
Lexie: And now I have no choice. I'll do it as soon as I can.
Celeste: I applaud you for this, darling.
Lexie: I also need to tell Carrie the truth that she and Austin can have healthy children together. And, of course, this means that Alex North won't be able to blackmail me about Tek anymore!
Celeste: Thank goodness.
Lexie: Thank goodness. And once I explain to John how Alex has plotted to keep him and Marlena apart, and that Marlena truly loves him, not Alex, John will be able to save his marriage. It's just going to feel so good to know that all the couples in Salem who belong together will be together. And Alex North and Sami Brady will be left out in the cold.
Kate: Oh, come on, Sami. Tell me that Austin's wised up, that he's through with you for good. Answer a mother's prayers, won't you?
Sami: Sorry to disappoint you, Kate, but that hasn't happened.
Kate: But you're afraid it's going to happen, aren't you?
Sami: Austin and I aren't through yet, so it's a little premature for you to be gloating.
Kate: But you did say "yet," which means it's only a matter of time, right?
Sami: I'm gonna get what I want. While I'm at it, I'm gonna make sure all of my enemies pay.
Abe: Look, um, Billie, it has been great seeing you.
Billie: Yeah, me, too.
Abe: I have a meeting to go to. I'll see you later.
Bo: Yeah. You and I are never gonna see eye to eye about Lockhart.
Billie: I guess not.
Bo: I'm grateful to you for your support. You've been a great friend.
Billie: Not always. But I do want you to be happy, Bo. I think now maybe you should go find our daughter, talk to her, and find out what she wants to tell you.
Chelsea: I can't listen to Grandma Kate. I have to do what I know is right. Yeah, I got to tell my dad the truth. That way he and Hope can get back together.
Hope: Alma Delgado. Oh, my God. She's dead. [Leaves rustling]
Patrick: You wanted to know about my past. Well, there it is. You satisfied?
Hope: Patrick, I am so sorry.
Patrick: No. No, you're not.
Hope: I just wanted to know where you were going.
Patrick: I asked you to leave this alone, but you couldn't do that. So now you know. And when you find out what happened, you'll hate me as much as your husband does.
Alex: I will tell you this much, this will be a trip from which you'll never quite recover.
Patrick: I am not a good man, and I am sure not good for any woman, including you.
Frankie: Hope's filed for divorce.
Belle: I am still in love with Shawn. There's something that I have to say to you, and I hope it's not too late.
