Maggie: Okay. Okay, Mom, here we go. Two fruit smoothies. Ooh, yum. I didn't do half bad here.

Alice: What are you doing?

Maggie: [Laughs] Well, they look pretty yummy... if I do say so myself..

Alice: Thank you, dear.

Maggie: You're welcome.

Alice: I'm glad you came by.

Maggie: Well, I have been taking care of Jack Jr., but Abby is, um...she's looking after him while I run a few errands for Mickey.

Alice: Where's Jennifer Rose?

Maggie: Oh. Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't tell you. She left last night for a, um, romantic getaway with Frankie Brady.

Alice: Oh.

[Birds chirping]

Jennifer: Good morning.

Frankie: Good morning.

Jennifer: Did you -- did you sleep well?

Frankie: Honestly? No. I was up all night.

Jennifer: I'm sorry. Was -- was the bed too soft? Was the room too cold?

Frankie: No, nothing like that. It was you.

[Alarm beeping]

[Beeping stops]

Lexie: [Sighs] Mmm.

Abe: [Sighs]

Hope: Good morning, lover boy. Oh, my God. I'm sorry. I was dreaming about Bo. I thought I was kissing him.

Patrick: No, it's my fault. I shouldn't have been in bed with you.

Hope: Yeah, why are you in bed with me?

Patrick: I got tired last night. I put the boat on autopilot, and I got into bed with you. Look, it's the only bed we have. I figured you wouldn't mind.

Hope: No, it's okay that you were -- that you were sleeping next to me in -- yeah.

Patrick: Okay. Um...I'll make coffee.

Hope: I'm gonna check my e-mail. Although -- oops -- I doubt if Bo tried to contact me. He's so busy rescuing and saving his daughter all the time. But just in case, let's take a look.

[Keys clicking] [Monitor beeping]

Chelsea: Perfect. Hope wants a divorce. Excellent. Let's see -- what would my dad say back to Hope? [Exhales deeply] "It breaks my heart, Hope. [Keys clicking] But I guess you're right. There's really no way we can stay together, now is there?"

Billie: Oh, thanks.

Bo: Sorry you didn't get any sleep last night.

Billie: It's not like you did, either.

Bo: Well, I'm kind of used to it. I've been in this place before.

Billie: Oh, my God. How could I have not thought of Zack? Bo, I should have made you go home last night.

Bo: Yeah, so I could abandon my child again?

Billie: You did not abandon Zack or Chelsea.

Bo: I made some choices with Zack. If they had been different, he'd still be alive. And I could have caused Chelsea's death last night.

Billie: Do not feel guilty about what you said. It was the truth.

Bo: Yeah, but it's the way I said it. I got to -- I got to think before I open my freakin' mouth. You know, after Zack's accident, I -- well, it just made me realize just how lucky we are for every second. Every decision we make...could be the difference between life and death. And I said some harsh things to her. It doesn't take much to push her into self-destruct mode.

Billie: Chelsea almost died last night, and she was down in that sewer for a long time. Maybe she learned something.

Bo: I hope you're right. And Shawn went down there after her. He doesn't like her at all. He did a brave thing for his sister. I don't know. Maybe this accident will bring our family closer together.

Billie: I think it will.

Bo: But I got a hell of a lot of work. I got to make up with Hope, my son. I have to make amends with my daughter.

Chelsea: You're wrong, Dad. I'm the one who should be apologizing to you.. If it weren't for me, you and Hope would still be together.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.

Bo: Can you give us a second?

Billie: Yeah. I'll be right back, sweetheart, okay?

Chelsea: You were right to be mad at me.

Bo: No, I shouldn't have talked to you the way I did.

Chelsea: I know that you think Hope wants a divorce because you defended me. But that's not why.

Bo: Hey, listen, you don't need to worry about any of that. Right now, you need to worry about getting better.

Chelsea: Dad, when I was trapped in that sewer, inhaling all of that gas and smoke...I really thought that I was gonna die. And my whole life flashed before my eyes and....the whole time I just was trying to think of a reason why my life was actually worth saving. And all I could think about was all the horrible, awful things I've done, starting with running over Zack.

Bo: Hey, that was an accident. You didn't mean to hurt him.

Chelsea: Yeah, but then I tried to have my mother take the blame for me because I was so desperate to stay out of jail. I wasn't thinking about anybody but myself. And that ended up costing you... your child and your wife. [Sighs] So's time for me to make things right between you and Hope...which means I have to tell you everything... including all the things that you don't know.

Nurse: Okay, time for your meds and vitals, Chelsea. Mr. Brady, can I ask you to step outside?

Bo: Yeah, sure.

Chelsea: Just make sure you come back when she's done, okay? I want to finish this.

Bo: Yeah.

Nurse: Okay, let's check your readouts first.

Bo: Hey.

Billie: How's she doing?

Bo: Sounds like a different person.

Billie: How so?

Bo: I think she did do some thinking while she was down in that sewer. She said that she couldn't come up with a single reason why her life was worth saving.

Billie: I've felt that way.

Bo: Yeah, me too.

Billie: Look. You know, it means everything to know that somebody cares.

Bo: Well, I hope she does.

Billie: She does, Bo. She does.

Bo: Zack had this...great enthusiasm for life. Always laughing and helping people. I wonder what Chelsea was like at that age. But she's 18 and, uh...I don't want her to feel like her life is over. I don't want her to feel like things won't change.

Billie: Yeah, but she has to be the person to make the change.

Bo: Yeah, I know. I'm gonna see if Hope called and left a message on my machine.

Hope: Oh, my God.

Patrick: What? What is it?

Spokesman: After a harrowing night, Chelsea Benson Brady has been reunited with her family. In a heroic act, the victim's half brother, Shawn Brady, along with her father and her uncle, has managed to rescue Chelsea from a sewer that was scheduled to be permanently sealed. With me is Chelsea's mother, Billie Reed. You must be feeling a tremendous amount of relief.

Billie: I am very grateful to my brother Philip and Bo and Shawn for everything that they did.

Spokesman: Did you ever have any doubt that they would make it?

Billie: I knew that Bo would do everything in his power to reunite his family. And he did.

Bo: She's gonna be okay.

Jennifer: I -- me? Oh, my gosh. What did I do to make you lose sleep?

Frankie: You didn't do anything. No, you didnít. This is gonna sound really corny. You're beautiful. And I just -- I laid awake all night and watched you sleep.

Jennifer: Really? You did?

Frankie: You have no idea how many times I wanted to wake you up in the middle of the night. Last night was amazing. It was amazing. It was like a dream. You have no idea how long I imagined making love to you, Jen.

Jennifer: I know, I know. Last night, it was like...

Frankie: It's like we've -- it's like we've been together forever. In some ways -- in some ways we have. I know for a fact, you've never left my heart, ever.

Jennifer: [Sighs] I love you, Frankie Brady.

Frankie: I love you, too.

Abe: Mmm, mmm. Sweetheart, sweetheart.

Lexie: What?

Abe: The commissioner wants to see me about an emergency, and I have to get that report from Bo on the sewer explosion.

Lexie: Honey, honey, listen. Everyone's okay. Listen -- I admitted Chelsea to the hospital for overnight observation. She's gonna be fine. Come back to bed.

Abe: I still need that report from Bo.

Lexie: Roman can't do that?

Abe: Roman's got John Black under house arrest. John is just...a loose cannon these days. He could kill Alex North at any minute, so unless you can come up with some way to stop Alex from taking Marlena out of town, I have to be available.

Lexie: No, no, of course I canít.

Abe: Well, you don't know how much I just want to be in bed.

Lexie: Okay, honey, okay, just remember next time you're not in such a hurry... sweetheart, just because you're impotent doesn't mean we can't be close.

Abe: I'm not making excuses.

Lexie: I know you don't believe it when I say this, but there are all kinds of medical advances that might just be able to help you.

Abe: And might not.

Lexie: Honey, look. I know this is difficult for you, all right? And of course it's your decision, but just remember -- intimacy isn't just about sex, okay? It's about love and companionship, being there for each other. You know, kissing and... touching. Sweetheart, I know we can work through this, okay?

Abe: Yes. Yeah, I know we will. You know, I have to apologize to you for not being there for you. You have no idea how much I want to. And I just... I can't tell you how much your patience and your support mean to me.

Lexie: Abe, we've both done things that we're not proud of, but if we could just...start over, you know? Take it one step at a time, huh?

Abe: Lexie.

Lexie: Hmm?

Abe: Please.

Lexie: What?

Abe: Look, I don't need to be reminded that you're a doctor and you're aware of all the advances regarding impotency. But if you really thought we could be intimate without sex, you wouldn't keep bringing it up.

Lexie: What?

Abe: All I to be able to make love to my wife. Being close to's torture.

Lexie: Okay. Okay, honey, so what can I do? How can I help you?

Abe: You can stop patronizing me. Stop pretending that it's okay to live together as brother and sister instead of...instead of like husband and wife.

Lexie: Hmm. [Doorbell rings] [Sighs] Hey, Mom.

Celeste: Good morning, Alexandra. Did I wake you?

Lexie: No, no, Abe and I have been up for a while. Come on in. Thanks for looking after Theo today.

Celeste: Well, you know how much I love spending time with my grandson.

Lexie: Yeah. Is there something wrong?

Celeste: Yes, yes, there is. I want to talk to you.

Lexie: About what?

Celeste: The affair you're having with Thomas Kramer.

Bo: No messages. Why doesn't she call?

Nurse: Excuse me. You can go back in. I gave Chelsea a sedative, so you shouldn't stay too long. She really needs to get some rest.

Billie: Thank you very much.

Bo: Chelsea.

Chelsea: Hey. I'm glad you're both here. So now I can tell sorry I am for --

Bo: Hey, listen. We can talk all about that later. But right now I want you to know that you have everything to live for. Your mom and I -- we love you. And we're gonna do everything we can to keep you out of jail, 'cause that's not what you need. What you need is family. And we're gonna be here for you, okay? Always.

Patrick: Don't jump to conclusions, Hope. You don't know the whole story..

Hope: Oh, I think I do. You heard what Billie said. Bo's happy to have his family reunited.

Patrick: He nearly lost Chelsea and Shawn. Of course he's happy they're safe.

Hope: Please, just stop, okay? You're trying to make this look like something different than it is. A few days ago, you and I both read on the internet how Shawn had to stop his wedding to throw Chelsea out of the church and how Bo left the church to go and comfort his daughter. And now they're all walking off arm in arm together?

Patrick: I didn't see anyone walking off arm in arm, Hope. This was a life-and-death situation. You saw what went down. Now, how would you have responded if you got the call? Would you have done everything in your power to save her?

Hope: Of course I would. I didn't want Bo to leave her down there to die, but did he have to risk his life? Did he have to risk my son's life? There are trained professionals to handle situations like this. It should have been left to them. Doesn't Bo even think I care if something happens to him?

Patrick: Honestly, I don't think Bo knows how you feel. The last time he heard from you, you wanted a divorce. I think a lot of what's going on between the two of out of anger, and until the two of you sit down and really talk about what you're really going through and what you really want, you'll never know for sure. Do yourself a favor -- reach out to Bo, talk to him.

Frankie: Well...

Jennifer: Hmm?

Frankie: Oh, do I hate for this to end, but I'm due back in Mickey's office.

Jennifer: I know. I'm in charge of Jack Jr.'s playgroup.

Frankie: [Laughs] Okay.

Jennifer: Do you want to take the shower first?

Frankie: We could take one together.

Jennifer: No, no, we can't because we won't come out. No, you go. I need to call Aunt Maggie and see how she's doing, so you can go.

Frankie: No fun. I'm okay if you change your mind. I'll leave the door open a little bit.

Jennifer: Frankie, no, donít.

Frankie: Just in case you change your mind.

Jennifer: Frankie.

[Water running] [Cellphone rings]

Maggie: Excuse me. Hello?

Jennifer: Aunt Maggie, hi.

Maggie: Oh, hi. Are you home?

Jennifer: Uh, no, not yet. We're just -- we're just getting ready to leave.

Maggie: Um, I was just filling your grandmother in on your getaway with Frankie. Are you having a good time?

Jennifer: Yes, I'm having a great time. Everything is so wonderful.

Maggie: Oh, honey, I'm so happy to hear that.

Jennifer: You know, Aunt Maggie, I still miss -- I miss Jack so much, and I love him as much as always...but I feel like -- I do. I feel like he wanted me to move on.

Maggie: He loved you very much, Jennifer. He would have wanted you to be happy.

Jennifer: Yeah. I just feel so lucky to have found Frankie. And I'm just, you know, I'm so worried. What if it's really all too good to be true, Aunt Maggie?

Lexie: Mom, would you keep your voice down? Abe is just upstairs. If he heard you making that accusation --

Celeste: It's not an accusation, Alexandra. I know for a fact that you've been having an affair with Tek.

Lexie: And just how do you know that?

Celeste: I came to the church to see you when Marlena was remarrying Alex North.

Lexie: I never saw you there.

Celeste: Well, that's because I ran into Tek first, after I saw you with him in the garden. I overheard you. My God, Alexandra, I warned you about him, didn't I? Do you want to end your marriage?

Lexie: No. I'd do anything to work through my problems with Abe. I want our marriage to work. Mom, it's been so hard.

Celeste: And what about Tek? Is it over between the two of you?

Lexie: I told him it had to stop.

Celeste: That's not what I asked you. Are you done with him?

Lexie: Mom, I never meant for this to happen...but I have needs.

Celeste: There's a difference between wants and needs, and if you really intend to fight for your marriage, you'll remember that.

Abe: Hey, hey, hey. Okay. Hey, good morning! Look who's here. Master Theo, it's your grandma.

Celeste: Hello, darling.

Lexie: Hi, sweetheart. Grammy is going to spend the day with you. Oh, my goodness. It's time for mommy to go take her shower.

Abe: Okay, well, I've got to get to work, so I'll see you later.

Lexie: Okay, be careful out there, all right?

Abe: Yeah. Okay, here you go, big guy. Sit right down there. Yeah, grandma's gonna give you some cookies.

Celeste: Want some cookies, darling? There you go.

Abe: [Laughs] [Sighs]

Celeste: So, how is everything with you and Alexandra? You seem a little tense.

Abe: Well, I'm sure Lexie's told you that we're working through some issues. But our marriage means everything to both of us, so we're gonna be okay. Is something wrong, Celeste?

Maggie: Wait a minute. Uh, Jennifer, why would you say that?

Jennifer: I know. Would you listen to me? I can't trust anything good that happens in my life 'cause I'm so afraid it's gonna be taken away again.

Alice: Please.

Maggie: Oh, honey, hold on a minute. Your grandma wants to talk to you.

Alice: Oh. Hello, Jennifer.

Jennifer: Hey. Good morning, Gram.

Alice: Now listen -- as long as you're listening to your heart, don't doubt yourself. You're doing the right thing.

Jennifer: Do you really think so?

Alice: Yes. Yes. Frankie loves you now, just like he loved you years ago..

Jennifer: I know he does.

Alice: I have fond memories of the two of you being together.

Jennifer: So do I.

Frankie: I guess it's midnight.

Jennifer: Happy New Year, Frankie! Yay, Happy New Year!

Frankie: Jen...were you serious when we talked about eloping together?

Jennifer: Yeah. I was, but...

Frankie: But what?

Jennifer: I don't know. After seeing Kayla's wedding, I don't really know.

Frankie: You know, I really think that we'd be missing out on something if we just ran off and got married by some justice of the peace.

Jennifer: I don't know what we should do anymore.

Frankie: Well, this time, I think I know what to do. You are gonna make a beautiful bride someday.

Jennifer: Someday?

Jennifer: I changed my mind. I was wondering if there was enough room to join you in here.

Frankie: Absolutely.

[Monitor beeping]

Bo: I should have been a hell of a lot tougher on you. Then maybe you would stop waltzing around, thinking you could get through life being so selfish and irresponsible, but things are gonna change, starting right now. And hopefully it's not too late, because the way you've been acting lately, I'm thinking there's only one way you can learn your damn lesson. Maybe going to prison is exactly what you need.

Bo: What do you think she's dreaming about?

Billie: Last night, I suppose.

Bo: If we had lost her last night, the last thing I said to her --

Billie: Bo, donít.

Bo: I'm angry about a lot of things, but I shouldn't have taken it out on her. Zack's death was an accident. You know what? [Sighs] I can't remember...ever being angry with Zack. Like we idealize him. Like he's a saint or an angel.

Billie: He was.

Bo: He was a little boy... with a big heart. In the short time that Chelsea knew him... he touched her. He wouldn't want his death to ruin her life. And it's gonna -- it's gonna take a lot to forgive her. But I got to try. I mean, it's not like she purposely hurt our family.

Billie: I think Hope is gonna have a hard time agreeing with that.

Patrick: What are you doing?

Hope: I can't call Bo, not just yet.

Patrick: Hope, come on. You're gonna have to talk to him at some point. Look, just don't do this to yourself. You will feel so much better once you know one way or the other. Someone's got to make the first move, right? And it can't be Bo. He has no idea how to get in touch with you.

Hope: He could e-mail me.

Patrick: Well, that's not good enough. The two of you need to talk. Do it.

Abe: So, what's wrong, Celeste? You look like you've turned over a bad tarot card.

Celeste: [Sighs] No, no. Nothing, nothing's wrong. I just hope that everything works out for you and Alexandra. You deserve to be happy.

Abe: Thank you for caring. But then, she's your daughter.

Celeste: Well, you are the most wonderful son-in-law that a mother-in-law could have.

Abe: Well, you know what? I'm gonna take Theo 'cause I like to give him breakfast before I go. Hey, let's go, big guy. Are you ready? Yeah, whoa, whoa, whoa. [Laughs]

Celeste: I sense that Abraham and Alexandra have a chance to be happy, despite Tek's interference, but...there's something else. Something very heavy... [Cards shuffling] ...On Alexandra's side. The star card.

[Water running]

Frankie: All right. I guess it's time to go.

Jennifer: Yeah. Thank you again for this wonderful getaway. I'm just so grateful for you and showing me that it's okay to move on with my life.

Frankie: Actually, I'm the one who should be thanking you. I know how hard it must have been for you to move on, and I -- I am honored that you felt secure enough to take the next step with me. But it's, um...I don't know. It's kind of made me wonder.

Jennifer: What?

Frankie: Well, I know that we have to -- we have to go back to our regular everyday lives. And, uh...I was just wondering what happens when we leave here.

Jennifer: Well, what do you mean?

Frankie: Well, I mean as far as we're concerned. I mean, where -- where do we go from here?

Celeste: The star card means optimism and hope but yet... I don't understand. I am sensing a deep pain within Alexandra, but it's not coming from the cards. Oh, dear God. What's wrong with my daughter?

Lexie: Oh, my. That wasnít...there before.

Patrick: I'm glad you're gonna call Bo. I think as soon as you guys --

Hope: Uncle Mickey. It's Hope.

Patrick: Why are you calling him?

Hope: Yeah, um, I'm okay. No, I haven't been in touch with anyone else. You're the first person I've called. Uncle Mickey...there's something really important I need to talk to you about. It's complicated. But I want a divorce from Bo. No, you heard correctly. I want a divorce.

[Monitor beeping]

Bo: I know things have been rough on you, Chelsea, but... they're gonna get better. Your mom and I love you.

Chelsea: You're not gonna love me anymore, Dad, especially after I tell you what I did.

Carrie: What are you looking at? I'm a mess. I just got out of the shower.

Austin: Oh, no, actually, I was thinking that you look incredible.

Kate: You're going to ruin absolutely everything.

Chelsea: I'm telling Bo and Billie today, and there's nothing you can do to stop me.

Billie: She's your wife, Bo. You love her. Find a way to get through to her.

Hope: He wants a divorce. He considers our marriage over. There's no turning back now.
