Jennifer: You really shouldn't have, but it's beautiful. Thank you.
Frankie: No, thank you for coming away with me like this.
Jennifer: It's really beautiful.
Frankie: Well, what do you say we, uh, take it up to the room, put it in some water? I don't know about you, but I'm ready for bed.
Jennifer: No. No, Frankie, I'm not ready.
John: What's the matter with you two? You ought to be focusing all your energy on protecting her, not him.
Roman: John, what the hell is the matter with you trying to kill the man? Did you really think we'd let you get away with it?
John: Damn it, all I know is he would be a dead man right now if you didn't interfere. The way it stands, he's free, she's in danger. Don't you get it? You let her go off with that bastard, she's a dead woman. And if you're not doing anything about it, I am.
Abe: Hey, you're not going anywhere, John.
Roman: John, listen to me. We believe you, okay? We believe Alex North is a bad man, but until we prove it, you've got to back off and let the police handle it.
John: You know, if I thought for a second you would, I would.
Roman: All right, that's enough. Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. Get up there. Put them back.
Abe: John Black, you're under arrest for the attempted murder of Alex North. You have the right to remain silent. Do you understand?
John: Just get on with it, will ya?
Chelsea: It's unlocked.
Kate: Hey, sweetie.
Chelsea: Oh, hey, Kate. How are you?
Kate: Good. Where's your mom?
Chelsea: She's with Bo, actually. She went to go check up on him.
Kate: Well, that's good. I'm sure he'll appreciate seeing a friendly face. [ Chuckles] Well, you're certainly relaxed for someone who's about to go on trial for the death of their brother.
Chelsea: What's that supposed to mean?
Kate: Honey, I didn't mean --
Chelsea: That I'm a heartless monster? I'm not. I loved Zack.
Kate: Of course you did. That's not what I meant at all. I was just saying that you seem very calm. Did you get information about the defense, some more information?
Chelsea: No. I'm just feeling better about my chances, that's all.
Kate: Oh. Well, why's that?
Chelsea: Because I'm pretty sure my dad's gonna testify on my behalf.
Kate: Oh, that's good. That's good. I'm very glad that he's doing that.
Chelsea: Yeah, plus I'm pretty sure Hope won't be there, so...
Kate: Chelsea, do you know something that I don't?
Chelsea: Yeah, all right. I guess I could tell you. Let's just say that I know for a fact that Bo and Hope are never getting back together.
Kate: Ah. And how exactly do you know for a fact that they're not getting back together?
Chelsea: Because I made sure of it.
Billie: [Clears throat]
Bo: Hey, Billie, I'm not up for visitors right now.
Billie: Well, that's okay. We need to talk about Chelsea's defense. This isn't a social call. What's wrong?
Bo: I finally heard from my wife. She wants a divorce.
Hope: I just can't believe that he responded so quickly to my e-mail. Oh, my God. What have I done? I never should have sent it. Why didn't I listen to you? You tried to talk me out of it, but I wouldn't listen. Oh, damn it. I was so angry, and now it's over...everything. Bo and I are finished.
Patrick: Hey, come on, you don't know that.
Hope: Patrick, right there. Look at the e-mail. It says it right there he wants out of our marriage. Oh, God. I made the biggest mistake of my entire life. [Sobs]
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Patrick: Hope, it's not too late to undo this. You should write him back or call him. Tell him you didn't mean it.
Hope: How can I, when I feel so betrayed? When I saw those newspaper photos of him, Billie, and Chelsea, and then read the article about Billie and Chelsea showing up uninvited to Shawn's wedding and then disrupting it, I was furious! I'm still furious.
Patrick: I know. That's why I wanted you to cool down before you wrote to him. I understand why you're angry. Chelsea killed your son and bo is sticking up for her, but you got to remember, that's his daughter.
Hope: Yes, she is. His and Billie's and right now the three of them are looking like a very happy family. The only thing missing is the white picket fence.
Patrick: No, they're definitely not a family, and I know they're not happy.
Hope: How can you be so sure?
Patrick: Because Bo is grieving, too. You know, Zack was his child, also..
Hope: You answer me this. Why did Bo agree to the divorce without a word of protest?
Patrick: I don't know. It doesn't sound like him.
Hope: He didn't even ask where I was or if he could call me to talk things over to try to change my mind. It's like he doesn't care.
Patrick: I'm sure he cares. He loves you.
Hope: When we lost Zack, everything changed.
Patrick: Your emotions are still raw, Hope. So are Bo's. You guys just need some time.
Hope: That's why I came here. Time isn't gonna help. I think Zack's death...gave Bo the excuse he was looking for to get out of our marriage. I think what he really wants right now is to be with Billie and their daughter.
Billie: Hope asked you for a divorce? How? When?
Bo: Just a little while ago. She sent me an e-mail.
Billie: Well, I know that she's hurting and she's in pain, but still --
Bo: She threw me out of the house, she left Salem to get away from me. I guess I should have seen this coming. A little boy is dead, a family shattered, and it's my fault.
Billie: No, it's not.
Bo: Yeah, it is, and it's Chelsea's. And Chelsea's my daughter, and Hope can't forgive me for that.
Billie: You can't let Chelsea come between the two of you.
Bo: It's too late. But I can't blame Chelsea. And I don't really blame Hope for hating me. I hate me, too.
Billie: She doesn't hate you.
Bo: She wants to get out of this marriage. What do you call that?
Billie: Bo, listen to me. You can't accept this. Hope is just going through a really tough time. You need to write her back and tell her that the two of you can work through this together.
Bo: I would like to do that.
Billie: What's stopping you?
Bo: I'm afraid if I do anything or say anything, I might make things worse. I'm just gonna give her a little time, you know? Maybe she'll reconsider. She's my life, Billie. I can't lose her.
Kate: Okay, now I want to know exactly what you did to make sure that Bo and Hope aren't gonna get back together again.
Chelsea: I just don't think that they'll be able to work things out this time, that's all.
Kate: Chelsea, come on. I know you did something. Why don't you just tell me what it is? Look, sweetie, believe me, I don't want to see Bo and Hope get back together again, and if you did something to make sure that, that's not gonna happen, I'll be relieved. Honey, I am on your side, you know. Who knows? Maybe I'll be able to help.
Chelsea: Fine. You win. I'll tell you everything.
Frankie: All right, well, no rush. Finish your coffee, take your time.
Jennifer: [Clears throat]
Frankie: Good meal, huh?
Jennifer: Uh, yeah. Everything was really delicious.
Frankie: Yeah. That wine...put me in a mellow mood. I can't wait to get into bed and just relax, you know?
Jennifer: I kind of like it in this room. The atmosphere is so nice. It's cozy, it's rustic.
Frankie: Yeah, it's comfortable. I'll bet the rooms are, too. What are you thinking? Did you change your mind?
Jennifer: Frankie, I don't know.
Frankie: What? What?
Jennifer: This is a big decision.
Frankie: You're not kidding. Those desserts look amazing.
Jennifer: Um...yeah. Yeah, that chocolate mousse is really tempting.
Frankie: Why don't you go for it? I'd join you, but I'm full.
Jennifer: No, I'm gonna exercise willpower. I am.
Frankie: Well, in that case, why don't we settle up and we can turn in early? Whoa. All right. Oh, the brochure to this place? They brag about how soft their sheets are. Something about high thread count or some ridiculous thing like that. Let's check them out. Come on.
Jennifer: Um, okay.
Frankie: All right. Great.
Roman: All right.
John: Damn it. You should have left me alone so I could have taken him out when I had the chance.
Roman: And then we'd be arresting you for murder, not attempted murder.
John: Now what you've done is fixed it so he can take her away and kill her. And he's gonna do it, and when he does, Roman, her death is on your head.
Roman: John, you know how much I care about Doc. I'm as worried about her as you are, and so is Abe. But we can't detain North without evidence. Now, let's go.
Abe: Let's go, John.
Frankie: Okay. Here we are. Are you okay?
Jennifer: Oh, I am so tired all of a sudden.
Frankie: Then it's good that we're getting to bed early. Um...I just really want this evening to be special for you.
Jennifer: Thank you, Frankie. I can't do this.
Roman: What are you doing back here, North?
John: Come back to gloat?
Alex: Actually, I feel bad for you, John, and what you're going through. See, my wife and I discussed it and --
John: Yeah, your wife.
Alex: Yes, my wife. She's a very compassionate woman. That's why we came back.
Marlena: John, you've been consumed with jealousy ever since Alex began treating me. That, I think, is why you're behaving so recklessly. And from what I've heard about you, that isn't your normal behavior. So I'm hoping that you'll get professional help.
Alex: I agree completely. Now, neither Marlena nor I want to see you suffer any more than you already have. That's why we've decided not to press charges against you.
Patrick: Hope, you said yourself you made a huge mistake, so write him, call him, do something. I am not crazy about your husband and he's even less crazy about me... but I know what you and Bo have doesn't come along every day. Your love's been tested before. It's survived things that would tear most people apart, and I can't believe you are willing to let it end like this.
Hope: No, he's the one who's willing to let it end like this. He's the one who wants the divorce.
Patrick: You initiated it. He thinks you want a divorce. Maybe that's not what he wants at all, just like you didnít. Admit it, Hope. You were testing him.
Hope: And he failed. He failed.
Kate: Wow, how did you manage all this?
Chelsea: It's pretty impressive, isn't it?
Kate: So you intercepted Hope's e-mails to Bo. Oh, she did ask him for a divorce, didn't she?
Chelsea: Yep. Right after she read this article that I sent her from the chronicle. God, she hates me so much. I just pushed her over the edge.
Kate: Yeah, well, if she did act in haste, it's gonna be too late to take it back now, isn't it?
Chelsea: Yep. Thanks to the e-mail I sent her from Bo's account. As far as Hope knows, Bo happily agreed to the divorce.
Kate: [Chuckles] Wow. You really are something, you know that?
Chelsea: Why, thank you. But I didn't do it to be mean. It's just...well, Bo and Billie are my parents, and I just think that they should be together and we should all be a family.
Kate: Well, yeah, I mean, absolutely, I couldn't agree more, but...
Chelsea: But what?
Kate: Well, I mean, you intercepted Hope's e-mail to Bo and then you responded to her as Bo, but what's gonna stop Bo from receiving her e-mail on his own computer? He probably already has and has probably already responded to it, and I'm sure he didn't say yes to a divorce.
Billie: We're gonna fix this. You need to contact Hope and tell her how you feel -- that you love her and that you'll do anything to work things out with her.
Bo: Thanks for being supportive with this.
Billie: It's over between us, Bo. It has been for a long time. You love Hope, you were meant to be with her, and that's why you have to write her back -- the sooner, the better.
Bo: Yeah. Thanks.
Billie: [Thinking] This is what you do when you love someone, Billie. You put his needs ahead of your own. That's why you have to help get Bo and Hope back together... especially after what you did to help Chelsea come between them. Now accept the fact that you and he just aren't meant to be.
Bo: [Thinking] "Hope, I know how much you're hurting. It breaks my heart that I'm responsible for our son's death and for the agony you're going through. I'll never be able to forgive myself, so how can I expect you to forgive me? But I love you so much, and it kills me that at the time of our greatest need, we weren't able to get comfort from each other. I pray that it's not too late." "I can't accept the idea of a divorce. I won't give up on you ever. We have to talk in person. So, please, come home, Fancy Face. I'm begging you to give me, to give us, to give our marriage another chance, because life without you has no meaning. You're everything to me, Fancy Face. I'll always love you. Bo." [Key clacks] [Sighs]
Patrick: Well, what are you waiting for?
Hope: I don't know. I don't want to do something rash again and wind up regretting it again.
Patrick: Hope, Bo needs to know how you feel.
Hope: Patrick, I am just so confused. I can't imagine my life with him, but I certainly can't imagine my life without him.
Patrick: Well, it sounds like you have some serious thinking to do.
Hope: Maybe a walk on the beach would help.
Chelsea: Actually, I've already thought of that -- that, of course Bo would type a reply to Hope after he read her e-mail.
Chelsea: And I took care of it.
Kate: Okay, what did you do?
Chelsea: Well, I know my way around the internet. I just went up to my dad's e-mail preferences and rerouted it so that his outgoing mail would come to my computer first. Pretty cool, huh?
Kate: Mmm, pretty cool. [Beeping]
Chelsea: Speaking of which, let's see what we've got. Yep, here you go. Bo's reply to Hope. It's a good thing it came to my computer first, huh?
Frankie: You can't do what? What is it, Jen?
Jennifer: Look, Frankie, I --
Frankie: You feel guilty about being here with me, and, you're worried you won't be able to go to sleep? I'm just gonna be in the adjoining room. If you can't sleep, all you have to do is knock.
Jennifer: We have separate rooms?
Frankie: Of course.
Frankie: Oh, no, is that why you've been acting so strange?
Frankie: I am so sorry. I mean, here I was going on and on and on about getting to bed, and you thought I meant --
Frankie: I was clueless.
Jennifer: No, no, I was.
Frankie: Why didn't I pick up on that? I should have made it perfectly clear about reserving two rooms.
Jennifer: It's okay.
Frankie: Oh. Good night.
Jennifer: Good night. Thank you. Thank you.
Frankie: All right.
Jennifer: Why, Jennifer Rose, are you acting like a ridiculous teenager? You are a grown woman. Start acting like one.
Roman: John, come here.
Abe: You know, I would think you would want John behind bars so he wouldn't take any more shots at you.
Alex: Oh, I fully trust you officers of the law to keep him in line until Marlena and I have left town.
John: So that's all you're asking, huh? No hearing, trial, eye for an eye, pound of flesh?
Alex: I'm willing to let bygones be bygones, John. Now that Marlena and I are remarried, you're just going to have to accept defeat. You have no choice.
John: Like hell.
Alex: Marlena and I don't want to see John go to jail any more than you do.
Marlena: Under one condition.
John: What would that be?
Marlena: You're Belle's father. You're Claire's grandfather. I don't want to be the person responsible for putting you behind bars. So Alex and I have agreed to excuse your actions of today as long as you get the help you need.
John: Well, you know, the last place that I want to be is in jail. You know why? Because you're still at the mercy of that lousy bastard.
Roman: All right, John. That's enough. If you are not gonna press charges, then you two are free to go.
John: I swear to God, as I live and breathe, your life is at stake.
Marlena: John, you're embarrassing yourself. You and I have nothing more to say to each other. I want you to know that I wish you well. Goodbye.
John: Damn it. Don't go with him. It's not safe. Don't go with him!
Roman: John, take it easy.
John: What is the matter with you, Abraham?! If you won't let me go after him, why the hell aren't you, Roman?! Why aren't you, Roman?! Why aren't you?!
Bo: Oh, man. Why hasn't she written back?
Billie: You only answered her e-mail a few minutes ago.
Bo: Well, it seems like it's been hours.
Billie: Look, she's probably not just sitting in front of her computer all day long, right?
Bo: Right. It did take me a while to reply. Maybe she took that as me agreeing to her divorce.
Billie: No, come on. Quit with the maybes now.
Bo: What am I supposed to do?
Billie: Believe in yourself and in Hope. She still loves you.
Bo: Well, then you know more than I do.
Billie: Maybe her requesting a divorce is just her way of opening up the lines of communication with you.
Bo: Now you're starting with the maybes? Come on, come on, come on.
Kate: "You're everything to me, Fancy Face. I'll always love you. Bo."
Chelsea: He really does love her, doesn't he?
Kate: Yeah, he does. And I'm afraid if Hope reads this, you and my daughter will never have a chance.
Billie: Look, everyone has always said that you and Hope are a love story for the ages. Love stories like that always have happy endings.
Bo: Like you believe in fairy tales.
Billie: I do. Sometimes. Look, the point is, you don't want your marriage to end this way, and you have to believe that Hope doesn't want it, either. What you just wrote to her -- those words were beautiful and heartfelt, and there is not a woman in the world who could read those words and not come running straight back to you.
Sometimes I wonder how I ever got along without you you're the best part of it all life is only as good as you make me feel I need you to hold me for a while I can't live without your love I'd be so lonely without you I'd be nothing without you baby, I can't live without your love when the world casts a shadow and I'm feeling so low, you are there you have a way about you that makes it all seem right I need you to hold me for a while I can't live without your love I'd be so lonely without you I'd be nothing without you baby, I can't live without your love after all we've been through, you know I'll always love you I want to share my life with my best friend and I can't live without your love no, I can't live without your love oh I need you I can't live without your love
Chelsea: Hope can never see this e-mail.
Kate: I don't know how you're gonna prevent that.
Chelsea: Watch and learn.
Kate: What are you gonna do?
Chelsea: Well, Bo's e-mail made a little detour on its way to Hope. So now all I have to do is delete it. All I want is for my parents to be together.
Kate: Oh, come on. You need to be honest. I think you want a little bit more than that, don't you?
Chelsea: I want to stay out of prison, too.
Kate: And why do I get the feeling that what Chelsea wants, Chelsea gets?
Frankie: [Sighs] [Owl hooting]
Jennifer: [Sighs] Hey. [Laughs]
Frankie: Hey. Surprised to see me out here, I'll bet.
Jennifer: Yeah, I thought you'd be sound asleep.
Frankie: Yeah, go figure. I was so excited about getting some sleep, and wham! Insomnia.
Jennifer: I know. I couldn't fall asleep either. I thought it'd be good to come outside and get some fresh air. It might help.
Frankie: Or we could always go back for dessert.
Jennifer: I hope you're joking. It's beautiful, isn't it?
Frankie: It sure is.
Jennifer: Look at all those stars. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Frankie: For what?
Jennifer: Because I said that I wanted to take this slow.
Frankie: And slow it is. Slow it is. I'm gonna try to get some sleep now.. You should do the same. I'll see you in the morning. Okay.
Jennifer: Don't go.
John: I don't need a chaperone, Roman.
Roman: The hell you don't, John. I know you, so just get comfortable. I'm not leaving your side until we're sure North and Marlena are long gone.
John: I can't believe you're gonna allow that to happen. You know he's dangerous and yet you still claim you care about her?
Roman: I do, John, but I'm not gonna break the law, and I'm not gonna let you break the law. Now, if I take those cuffs off, are you gonna behave yourself?
John: [Sighs] [Inhales sharply] Just gonna have myself a little look.. Of course.
Roman: What now?
John: He ran her right up to the bedroom.
Marlena: Everything looks so beautiful by moonlight, doesn't it?
Alex: Almost as beautiful as you.
Marlena: [Chuckles] Are you always gonna make me feel so special?
Alex: I'm certainly going to try.
Frankie: You know I would never push you into anything that you weren't ready for.
Jennifer: No, I know that. You have always been a perfect gentleman from the very first day that I met you.
Frankie: That's me. The perfect gentleman. Maybe that's why I never get the girl.
Jennifer: You have the girl now.
