Jennifer: Okay, I'm all ready to go.

Frankie: You look amazing. You don't look so bad yourself.

Lexie: You have got to be kidding me. I can't play God with Carrie's life, Sami.

Sami: Oh, I'm not asking you to play God, just doctor. Carrie trusts your opinion, both medically and personally, and since she's having so much trouble deciding which guy she wants to be with, you are gonna persuade her to do the right thing.

Lexie: And you've decided which man you want her to be with.

Sami: Neither. I don't think Carrie should be with Austin or Lucas.

Carrie: When I think about the women I know who want to find one special man, and here I am having to choose between two, it doesn't seem fair.

Austin: But you do have to choose.

Carrie: I know. And I know that we all care about each other a lot, and that you both care about Sami, too.

Lucas: Look, why don't we just leave Sami out of this, okay?

Carrie: I'm worried about her getting hurt.

Lucas: It doesn't matter. She's not worried about you getting hurt.

Carrie: She has nothing to do with what I decide, okay? I do -- I want her to be happy. Hopefully, maybe with... one of you.

Lucas: Which one of us, Carrie?

Austin: So you have made up your mind?

Carrie: Yeah, I have.

Lucas: But, whoa. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Before you do this, before you decide, are you sure you really thought this through?

Abe: Well, looks like Marlena's gonna be all right.

John: Yeah, no thanks to North. You know, Abraham, I don't give a damn we can't prove he blew up Lois' cabin. That son of a bitch goes near my wife again, I'm gonna rip his head off.

Abe: Yeah, so then you end up back in jail. You know, you lay one hand on North again, that's where you're gonna be. Only this time, there will be no bail. And what good will you be to Marlena then?

Lexie: Marlena, there's someone here to see you. Dr. Alex North, Dr. Marlena Evans.

Alex: Hello, Marlena. It's been a long time.

Marlena: No, Alex, no. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!

Marlena: I remember. I remember who Alex North is. I'm --

[Organ Plays]

Maggie: You look beautiful.

[Organ plays Wagner's "Bridal Chorus"]

Bonnie: You did it, baby. I love you.

Fr. Jansen: Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man, Shawn Douglas Brady, and this woman, Miriam Lockhart, in Holy Matrimony. Miriam and Shawn, will you please join hands? Father, you have made the bond of marriage a holy mystery, a symbol of Christ's love for his church. Hear our prayers for Miriam and Shawn. With faith in you and in each other, they pledge their love today. May their lives always bear witness to the reality of that love. We ask this through Christ our Lord...

Bonnie: I sure hope you neutralized Belle. I cannot have her destroying my baby's wedding, not when we're so close. I mean, she is so close to having everything.

Kate: [Sighs] Here it goes. Showtime.

Belle: Kate, what is it? What's wrong?

Fr. Jansen: You have come together in this church...

Kate: I can't guarantee anything, but I did my best. And if Belle has any conscience at all, she'll leave Shawn and Mimi alone.

Fr. Jansen: Christ abundantly blesses this love. He has already consecrated you in baptism, and now he enriches and strengthens you by a special sacrament so that you may assume the duties of marriage in mutual and lasting fidelity. I remind you both to remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home. No other human ties are more tender and no other vows more important than those you now assume. If you both keep these vows, your home will be happy...

Belle: [Thinking] Sorry, Kate. I know what you were trying to tell me, but I have no choice. I have to stop this wedding.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.

Frankie: I mean it. You really do look incredible.

Jennifer: Thank you. [Talking simultaneously] Before we go, I wanted to talk to you about something.

Fr. Jansen: Shawn and Miriam, you stand before God and this church, your family and your friends, to pledge your love for all eternity, a love that started out as a friendship and then blossomed and grew into something much deeper, much more profound. And now we're here to celebrate that love and join you together in holy matrimony.

Kate: Don't worry. Belle's remembering what we talked about. It may be eating her alive, but I don't think she'd dare say a word.

Belle: Kate, why are you crying? What happened?

Kate: Oh, it's nothing. I'm sorry. I know this is Mimi's wedding. I mean, I really have to get myself together.

Belle: Did you and Philip have a fight or something?

Kate: No, honey, no. It's nothing like that, really. It's just that, um, I just came from talking with Billie, and she's blaming herself for everything, for everything that happened with Chelsea.

Belle: You mean Chelsea hitting Zack?

Kate: Yes.

Belle: Why? It wasn't Billie's fault.

Kate: I know that. If anything, it was my fault.

Belle: What do you mean? How would it be your fault?

Kate: Because -- because I -- if I hadn't abandoned Billie when she was a little girl, Belle, her whole life would have been different, you know? Who knows, she probably would have had more control over her own daughter. Right now, she has no idea of what it means to be a mother, no idea because she never had a mother of her own. I'm sorry. You know, I'm just so happy for Claire. I'm just so happy that she's never going to have to suffer the way Billie did.

Fr. Jansen: And now the groom would like to say a few words.

Shawn D.: Uh, just very quickly I wanted to thank everyone for coming out here. It means so much to both of us to share our special day with you all. And for those who couldn't be here, that they also are in our thoughts and in our hearts. But most of all, I just wanted to tell my bride that I just think I'm the luckiest guy in the world today. Not only am I marrying my love, but also my best friend. You know, a lot of people say that, but for us, it's really true. We have a bond that's forged not only in love, but also in trust.

Fr. Jansen: At this time, I'd like to ask Maggie Horton --

Mimi: Actually, Father Jansen, I'm sorry to interrupt, but there's something that I have to say, too, and it's very important.

Lexie: Okay, so you want Austin and Lucas both for yourself. You know, Sami, I always knew you were selfish, but this is just beyond ridiculous.

Sami: That's funny. You know what I think is ridiculous? That you have what I want. You have a husband who loves you and he forgives you, and yet you choose to cheat on him again.

Lexie: You may think you know what's going on with me, Sami, but you really have no idea. And I'm not even going to try to explain it to you, because it's really none of your business.

Sami: Well, that's fine. But I think you're gonna have to explain yourself to Abe when he finds out that you're cheating on him with Tek.

Lexie: How do you expect me to keep Carrie away from two men who both love her?

Sami: Because she doesn't deserve to have both of them love her. I mean, why does she get to choose? Why shouldn't I?

Lexie: Well, I can think of one very good reason. What if the man you decide you want doesn't want you, Sami? What are you gonna do then?

Carrie: I have thought this through, believe me.

Lucas: I -- I've got to say this right now. I can't speak for Austin, but I know for a fact if you don't choose me, I won't be settling for Sami.

John: I know that I got to be careful here. If it appears that I'm getting sideways sometimes, it's because I don't know what to do anymore. Marlena's gonna be discharged soon, then she's gonna go home with a killer.

Abe: We'll keep a close eye on her. But in the meantime, we've got to work on getting enough proof to convince Marlena that he's dangerous. You know, you said so yourself -- he's probably not going to do anything until he takes her away on this so-called honeymoon.

John: Yeah, that's tomorrow, Abraham, or at least these renewal of vows are supposed to happen tomorrow, which means we're running out of time, which means I've got to stop him today.

Marlena: Alex, I remember. I remember.

Alex: So I look familiar, hmm? You, uh, you think you know me from somewhere?

Marlena: You know I don't have any memory of anything. Are you trying to trick me?

Alex: No. I'm trying to help you.

Marlena: Oh, I appreciate that. Still, there's something --

Alex: Maybe I just have one of those ordinary Joe kind of faces.

Marlena: No.

Marlena: No. No, how can that be? How can that be? How can Alex come back? Alex was dead. He was dead.

Frankie: Is something wrong? You sound serious.

Jennifer: No, no, nothing's wrong, not really. I, um -- you know, something happened the other night at Chez Rouge, and I feel like we've been walking around pretending like nothing happened.

Frankie: But something did happen. And I know what you're gonna say. It was too much too soon.

Jennifer: No, listen to me. Please, sit down. It was wonderful. It really was. But I don't want you to get the wrong idea. I really do want to take things slow.

Frankie: No, I understand. I feel the same way, and... I apologize. I got carried away.

Jennifer: I think we both did.

Frankie: Yeah. But I -- it was my fault, and I would never want to push you into anything that you're not ready for. I mean -- in fact, I, uh -- I probably shouldn't give you this.

Jennifer: What is that?

Frankie: It's nothing, really. Forget about it.

Jennifer: No, I'm not gonna forget about it. Let me see. What is it? [Laughs ] Oh, my goodness.

Kate: What's she doing?

Bonnie: I can't watch this.

Mimi: Uh, just like Shawn said, I want to thank you all for coming and being here with us on the most important day of our lives. But there's someone specifically I would like to thank, and that is my other best friend, Belle. She's always been there for me, and I know she always will. Her love and support mean everything to me.

Kate: Nice touch.

Bonnie: That's my girl. She may be a little soft, but she's learning. There's no one gonna take away her man.

Fr. Jansen: Now, if we're ready to continue, I would like to invite Maggie Horton to read a special passage for the bride and groom.

Maggie: A reading from the Book of Genesis. The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a suitable partner for him."

Belle: Kate, you didn't want Billie to grow up without a mother.

Kate: No, I did not. But I wasn't there. I wasn't there for her when she needed me. And I hurt my children. I hurt them because of choices I made, and they went through hell because of them, because of those choices. You know, maybe that's the reason I am the way I am now, why I try so hard to protect them. I try to compensate for that, but I can’t. I can't -- I can't do it. It's too late. That's why I said what I did about Claire earlier, because she's a lucky girl. She's a very lucky girl. She has a mommy who loves her and is gonna be there for her always. She's never gonna suffer the pain of a broken home with a mother and a father who hate each other. No, not our baby Claire. She has a mommy and a daddy who love her so much, and they love each other so much. And the two of you are gonna be together forever. I know it.

Philip: The bride and groom asked me to do the second reading. But earlier today, my wife asked me if she could join me up here because she has a few special words of her own. Belle?

Sami: I don't know what I'll do if he doesn't want me. I just know that I am tired of being alone.

Lexie: You know, Sami, if I didn't hate you so much, I would genuinely feel sorry for you.

Sami: Thanks. Likewise.

Lexie: I know how much you loved Lucas, and -- God knows why -- he loved you, too, more than I think any man has ever loved you. So why don't you try and work things out with him?

Sami: Why are you saying that? You want me to go after Lucas because you think Carrie is gonna choose Austin. Is that it?

Lexie: No, no! I have no idea who Carrie is going to choose, Sami, but I do know what's right, okay? Carrie and Austin have a history together and deep feelings for each other, just like you and Lucas.

Sami: Lucas and I are finished.

Lexie: But you can't deny you still have feelings for him.

Sami: [Scoffs]

Lexie: Sami, you only want Austin to spite Lucas and your sister. And that's where you're making the biggest mistake of your life.

Austin: Look, Carrie. You got a big heart, and you want your sister to be happy. That's great. We want that, too. But the only thing that we're concerned with, that we want to know right now, is what you've decided. Who do you want to be with -- me or him?

Abe: You know, if only she could get her memory back.

John: Yeah, I know. It'd all be over, wouldn't it?

Abe: You know, it's a long shot, but Lexie says it could happen any time..

John: Well, I just hope it doesn't happen when she's alone with him. She'd be terrified.

Abe: And then Alex would know that she was on to him, which could be very dangerous.

John: It kind of makes me glad that she doesn't remember, then. 'Cause until I can get her away from him, it's probably the only thing that's keeping her alive.

Marlena: It's all so clear to me now.

Marlena: I would be very happy to have you explain. Because for the life of me, I can't imagine why I remember you so clearly when I know we just met.

Alex: The thing is, Marlena, you're not actually remembering me. You're projecting me into your suppressed memories of either John or Roman or both.

Marlena: Why would I do that?

Alex: Because right now, I'm the only man who isn't claiming to be in love with you or pushing you to remember that you're in love with me. And because it seems to me your love for these two men, John and Roman, is what is at the root of all your trouble.

Marlena: How could I do that? How could I betray John... with Alex?

Jennifer: [Laughing] Oh, my goodness. This looks exactly like the corsage you got me in high school.

Frankie: You remember.

Jennifer: Well, of course I remember. I loved that corsage. I can't believe you remembered.

Frankie: I got it from the same place I got the last one.

Jennifer: Wow, this is really sweet. It's really sweet, but --

Frankie: I know. I know. I'm sorry. I'm making you feel uncomfortable again.

Jennifer: No, no! Give me that. That's not what I was gonna say. I was just gonna say that I -- I don't know if girls or women really wear these anymore.

Frankie: They don't?

Jennifer: Well, I don't know. I mean, maybe the mother of the bride or the groom, perhaps, but --

Frankie: Oh, am I clueless or what?

Jennifer: But you know what? You bought this for me, so I'm gonna wear it. I'm gonna wear this to the wedding. There you go. How does it look?

Frankie: Well, you know, you could maybe start a new trend or restart the old one.

Jennifer: Yeah, maybe so. Maybe so.

Frankie: Oh, and I promise this doesn't mean we're going steady or anything -- not that I'm making light of your concerns. I wouldn't do that.

Jennifer: I know you're not. I'm not worried. Thank you. Thank you for always being so understanding.

Frankie: Always.

Jennifer: I'm gonna go upstairs and get my purse, 'cause we got to get to the wedding.

Frankie: Good idea. I'll be waiting.

Jennifer: All right. I just need to get my purse. Where did I put it? Oh, God. Oh, God.

Kate: Philip loves her so much. He's going to make her a lot happier than she deserves to be.

Kate: I am so sorry. I didn't mean to get upset like that. I don't know what came over me. Please forgive me.

Belle: No, it's okay.

Kate: Belle, I have to tell you. We have had our differences, haven't we? But that's truly in the past. I do admire you. You are such a good person. You have a good heart and a good soul.

Belle: No, I don’t.

Kate: Yes, you do. You do. You always put others before yourself -- their happiness, their welfare. Oh, especially when it comes to Philip and Claire. I have to tell you a secret. I give thanks every day that Claire and Philip have you to depend on, you to love them. You truly are a wonderful, wonderful wife and mother, the best I know.

Philip: ..."And love sees nothing as impossible, for it feels able to achieve all things. Like a living flame and a burning torch, it surges upward and surely surmounts every obstacle." And I'm here to tell you that no truer words have ever been spoken, 'cause I know my wife would agree with me. And now she has something she'd like to add.

Belle: Yes, I do.

Sami: I am not going after Austin out of spite. I love him, okay? I have always loved him. And there is no chance of me getting back together with Lucas, okay? He's never gonna forgive me. He won’t. So my only chance at happiness is with Austin.

Lexie: Mm-hmm. Then why don't you want your sister to have Lucas?

Sami: Because they're not right for each other, okay? Any idiot can see that.

Lexie: Sami, you know, why don't you just admit it, okay? It's so obvious to everyone that you still love Lucas.

Sami: So what? I mean, even if that were true, there's no way we'll get back together, okay? I told you that a million times.

Lexie: You also told me that you're willing to fight for your happiness. If that's the case, then why don't you fight for something that you really want and you have a chance of winning -- Lucas?

Carrie: I'm sorry. I don't mean to keep dragging this out.

Lucas: Like I said, if you need more time, it's okay.

Carrie: I don’t. I've had enough time sitting here in this hospital bed to think about it. When I tried to picture my future, it wasn't really the way I thought it would be. I saw myself in bed on a Sunday morning waking up to the smell of coffee. I wasn't exactly sure where I was, but I felt safe there. It felt like home. And then the man I love walked in. [Door opens] And the minute he walked in, I knew I was home.

Lucas: Who was it? Who did you see?

Marlena: Oh, this can't be happening.

John: My God, you are remembering. Is it about us?

Marlena: Well, it's not a memory, but it is about us.

John: What is it?

Marlena: I want a divorce.

Alex: You are the one true love of my life.

Marlena: Does that mean that we get to renew our wedding vows? Does that mean that you're gonna do that for me?

Alex: Yes, I --

Marlena: Careful. Careful.

Alex: I can't wait. I want us both to promise that we will love, honor, and cherish only each other for the rest of our lives. Promise me... that I will never lose you again.

Marlena: I promise.

Marlena: What was I thinking? I don't love Alex. Alex is evil, and he's sick. John is the man I love. I've got to tell him. Nurse? Nurse? Nurse?

Nurse: Yes? Dr. Evans, are you all right?

Marlena: No, I'm not all right. I've got to see John Black right away, right away.

Nurse: No problem, he's just outside.

Marlena: Oh, thank you. Get him. Please hurry. Please hurry. Oh!

Belle: This passage is called "What Is Love?" By “author unknown”. "Love is the creator of our favorite memories and the foundation of our fondest dreams. Love is a promise that's always kept, a fortune that can never be spent, a seed that can flourish in even the most unlikely of places." [Clears throat] "And this radiance that never fades, this mysterious and magical joy, is

the greatest treasure of all... known only by those who love."

Bo: As difficult as it was for Shawn and Belle to move on with their lives, I think the right people ended up together. What do you think, Mrs. H.?

Alice: Well, it doesn't matter much what I think.

Bo: Well, of course it matters what you think. You know, having this celebration without Hope and Zach here -- I don't know, it's just wrong. But Shawn can always count on you two.

Alice: He can count on you, too. It means so much to him... that you're here.

Bo: Yeah, well, I'm the reason his mom's not here.

Alice: If there's one thing I know, it's that you and Hope are meant to be together. She'll come home to you, Bo. Everything will be all right.

Bo: Yeah. From your lips to God's ears. I just wish I knew where she was, that she was okay.

Mickey: I love you, Red.

Maggie: I love you, too.

Kate: We're almost home free. Belle didn't say a word while she had the chance. We can only hope that she never does.

Bonnie: You and me both. But this isn't over until Shawn and Mimi have said "I do." I wish there was a way we could speed this up.

Fr. Jansen: We've now come to that part of the ceremony where I must ask that age-old question. Of course, it's merely a formality. If any person or persons here present know of any reason why these two should not be joined in holy matrimony, may they speak now or forever hold your peace.

[Jennifer crying]

Frankie: You okay? Jen, can I come in?

Jennifer: No! Don't come in. Just leave me alone. I don't want to see you.

Sami: Lucas wants nothing to do with me, which is how I know that my only chance at happiness is with Austin. Because I know he's forgiving, and I know that he can forgive me. And I am not gonna lose him to Carrie.

Lexie: Well, good luck with that.

Sami: So it's true. You know that Carrie is gonna choose Austin. Lexie, you can't let that happen, not if you know what's good for you and your marriage.

Austin: Carrie, I don't mean to push, but, you know, we're a little anxious here. So who did you imagine yourself with?

Carrie: Good morning.

Austin: Good morning. I love you... and I always will.

Carrie: I love you. There will never be anyone else.

Carrie: I should have known all along. Actually, I think I did.

Austin: I love you, but you're killing me. Come on.

Lucas: Yeah. Listen, if you've made your decision, please tell us. Which one of us do you want to be with?

Abe: Don't worry. We're gonna watch him like a hawk. If he tries anything, he's not gonna get away with it.

John: You don't know how right you are.

Nurse: Liz, have you seen Mr. Black? I thought he was just here.

Liz: I thought so, too. He must have stepped away.

Nurse: Well, if you see him, would you give him a message from Dr. Evans? My shift is over, and I'm going home soon.

Liz: Sure. Just write it down. I'll make sure he gets it.

Nurse: Thanks.

Marlena: I remember you. I remember you. I don't love you. I love John.

Alex: What a pity, my dear, for you.

Fr. Jansen: All right, then. Moving along, do you, Shawn Douglas, take this woman, Miriam --

Belle: Wait! This wedding has to stop.

Frankie: Do you have any room in your heart for me?

Sami: I can't believe you're both letting her jerk you along like this. But since it is a contest, I know who I'm rooting for.

Alex: Now that you have your memory back, I'm afraid you're going to have to die.

Shawn D.: I know why Belle stopped the ceremony.
