John: Send as many officers as you can here over to University Hospital.

Marlena: It wasn't Alex. It wasn't Alex! It's Lois. She's insane.

Billie: Chelsea, I know your world is upside down and crazy right now, but that is no excuse for you to deliberately try and break up Bo and Hope's marriage.

Chelsea: Mom, I am trying to save my life here, okay? I feel horrible that Hope lost her son. I really do, and I think you know that. But making me suffer is not going to bring him back. And she still can't see that this whole thing was just an accident. It's like she's not even gonna feel a little bit better unless she can get my own father to turn against me.

Billie: I think your father is being very supportive of you right now considering.

Chelsea: Right. Considering that I ran over his child and killed him. He's being amazing, and I need him to stay on my side, Mom. But if he gets back together with Hope, and they stay together, he's gonna end up hating me as much as she does.

Billie: No. That won't happen.

Chelsea: Yes, it will. He's gonna lose two kids, and I'm gonna lose everything. I mean, don't you think that it's enough that I've already lost my adoptive parents and my little brother in one year? You and dad are all I have right now, Mom. And all dad has is us.

Billie: And his son Shawn and his wife, Hope.

Chelsea: Right. Both of whom aren't even talking to him. Come on, the way that Hope is treating him?

Billie: She is a grieving mother.

Chelsea: I know that, Mom. But she was a witch even before Zack died to you and to me. I mean, don't you think that Bo is better off without her?

Billie: No, I donít.

Chelsea: You know what? It doesn't even matter because they are separated, and that was Hope's choice. And you know what? If they don't get back together, if they stay broken up, I don't think that, that's bad for any of us.

Billie: Wow. Wow. I don't believe you, Chelsea. I really donít.

Chelsea: Well, I don't believe you, Mom. This is your chance, finally, after all of these years, to be with the only man, the one person, you've ever loved.

Bo: What the hell? Get away from my wife. Get the hell out of my house.

Hope: No. You get out. I can't even look at you. Patrick is here trying to help me.

Bo: Yeah, I can see that.

Hope: He's a friend who tells me the truth, which is a hell of a lot more than I can say for you.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.

Billie: Chelsea, I know this has probably been the worst day of your life.

Chelsea: No, Mom. The worst day of my life was when I killed my little brother. Today was nothing in comparison. So what if I got arrested and booked and fingerprinted, and my stepmother slapped me in front of everybody at my little brother's funeral? You told me not to go, but I didn't listen. I listened to Grandma Kate, and I don't even know why. God, you know, it's so hard to know what the right thing to do all the time is and who I can listen to, who I can trust. I mean, I don't even know if I can trust my own father right now. He could turn his back on me at any minute, Mom.

Billie: But that won't happen, Chelsea.

Chelsea: But it could, and we need to make sure that it doesnít. We need to keep him on my side, Mom, and you have to help me.

Billie: Chelsea, I have tried to break up Bo and Hope in the past -- more than once, I'm ashamed to say -- but it never worked.

Chelsea: But, Mom, things are different now. Hope is furious with Bo. I mean, she blames me for Zack's death, but she blames Bo, too -- maybe even more. You and dad just got me back. Now we have a chance to really be a family. I mean, even Grandma Kate thinks that you two belong together.

Billie: You learned today that it's not always a good idea to listen to Grandma Kate. Listen to me, Chelsea. Bo and Hope are too connected to ever be apart for long.

Chelsea: No. I think you're wrong, Mom, I really do. Look, you're alone right now. Is that really how you want to spend the rest of your life or do you want to be with the only man that you have ever really loved, my dad?

Billie: Chelsea, I have waited for you to be in my life for 18 long years. I wish I could give you what you want, but I canít.

Chelsea: Please? Mom, please?

Billie: I'm sorry, Chelsea, but the answer is "no."

Bo: I'm your husband, Hope. This is our house. You belong with me, not with him. What is he doing here? For God's sake, Hope, we buried our son today. We need to be together. We don't need him butting into our lives, using our tragedy to take advantage of you..

Hope: He's a friend trying to help me get through the most tragic day of my life.

Bo: I'm here.

Hope: You haven't been here since Zack died.

Bo: What do you --

Hope: I needed you then. Where were you? Where were you? Oh, that's right. You were busy covering up your daughter's crime and letting Billie take the blame for it. How could I forget -- lying to me all that time.

Bo: Hope -- I'm sorry.

Hope: Sorry? Don't touch me. Sorry doesn't bring back my son. You helped Chelsea kill my baby.

Bo: You're right. Hope, I made a terrible decision... a decision I would give my life to take back. And I lied to you, and that was wrong. But, Hope, you know how much I love Zack. And I know how much you miss him, how empty this house feels without him running around laughing. Come on, Hope, we need to be together.

Hope: You still haven't answered my question. Where have you been?

Bo: I wanted to be with you, more than anything, but you told me several times to leave you alone.

Hope: Where were you? Where, Bo?

Bo: I had to arrest my daughter and take her down to the police station and have her booked.

Hope: Oh, so you were with Chelsea and Billie. Well, of course. What was I thinking? Where else would you be? At least she's behind bars where she deserves to be. What's that look, Brady? She is in jail, isn't she? You said they booked her.

Bo: I called the D.A.'s office and had her released into Billie's custody.

Hope: You did what?! She killed our son! How dare you let her go free!

John: Alex North is in this hospital. Exits sealed?

Tek: I set up a high-security lockdown. If he's in here, he's not getting out.

Abe: Hey, buddy, are you and Marlena doing okay? It had to be pretty gruesome seeing that woman hanging.

John: She's still alive. With any luck at all, she'll give me a statement about Alex's plot to kill Marlena.

[Door closes]

Marlena: You don't even care that a woman almost died tonight, do you?

John: I am here to make sure another woman does not die tonight.

Marlena: Lois is insane. She's obsessed with Alex. She probably found out that he was in love with me and planned to spend his future with me and then attempted suicide.

John: You're not the most objective person.

Marlena: Neither are you. Maybe you were the one that drove her to it.

John: What?

Marlena: It appears you were the last person to speak to her tonight. You were clearly trying to get her to betray Alex, the love of her life, so maybe she felt so bad about lying to you she couldn't live with herself.

John: I'm not gonna listen to any more of these ridiculous what-ifs. Bottom line -- we got a life-and-death situation here whether you want to believe it or not. Now, do you know where Alex is?

Marlena: Of course I know where Alex is. He's at Salem Place buying me a gift.

John: The mall? Not much of a cover story. He's in the hospital, Abraham.. Lois had a faint pulse. Not much time had passed before we found her.

Marlena: Lexie.

John: Tell me she's alive.

Lexie: She's breathing on her own, but she hasn't regained consciousness..

John: Damn it. Abraham, let's get him. Let's put him away before he comes after Marlena.

Marlena: No matter what I do, I can't convince John that Alex is innocent. I mean, he would never do the kind of things John's accusing him of.

Lexie: Marlena, I know that Alex has been very kind to you and that he has taken care of you, but you really don't know him all that well.

Marlena: I know that he loves me. That's all I have to know.

Lexie: Okay, you don't remember all the years that you spent with John, but I promise you, John is a good man. You won't get an argument on that from anyone in Salem.

Marlena: Well, good men make mistakes, too.

Lexie: John wouldn't just make up groundless accusations, Marlena. He must really believe that Alex is a danger to you. Look, for what it's worth, I don't trust Alex, and I am very sorry that I brought him into your life. I'm gonna go check on Lois again.

Officer: Detective Kramer wants every exit shut down. This guy is dangerous.

[Cellphone vibrates]

Alex: Hello?

Marlena: Alex, darling, where are you? I've been worried about you.

Alex: Well, you know where I am -- Salem Place. I'm buying you a gift. Wait a minute, is this some kind of trick to get me to tell you what it is?

Marlena: No. No. I'm just glad you're not here at the hospital. Something terrible has happened.

Alex: I can hear the stress in your voice. Just calm down, take a breath, tell me what it is.

Marlena: It's Lois.

Alex: I'm losing you.

Abe: ...All over the place. I'm gonna bring in a few more people.

John: Sounds like a waiting game now. Where do you want to start?

[Belle crying]

Belle: Shawn, go away.

Shawn D.: You're crying. I'm not just leaving you. Do you want me to just go get Philip?

Belle: No. I don't want him to worry.

Shawn D.: Have you been taking your meds?

Belle: [Laughing] Yes, Shawn. I'm not crazy.

Shawn D.: Nobody said you were.

Belle: And I am not an emotional basket case anymore either. Probably fooled you, right?

Shawn D.: It's okay to cry. You're going through a hell of a lot.

Belle: I don't have anything to be sad about. You're the one who lost your brother.

Shawn D.: You loved him, too.

Belle: I did.

Shawn D.: And I know you've been very worried about losing your daughter.. I'm sure that's all catching up with you right now.

Belle: I don't know what I did to deserve her, to deserve a second chance. If this transplant fails, man, if she gets sick again --

Shawn D.: It's a lot to be hanging over your head, but you can't live your life worrying about tomorrow.

Belle: You're right. There are things you can't control. But there are things that you can.

Shawn D.: What do you mean?

Belle: I wasn't gonna do this.

Shawn D.: Is this about seeing Mimi's engagement ring? Is that what this is about?

Belle: God, if you marry Mimi, you will be making a huge mistake.

Shawn D.: Why?

Belle: I shouldn't say anything.

Shawn D.: No. Say it. Please, say it, Belle. Why?

Belle: I still love you.

Belle: It's crazy, I know. I know that the timing is really bad, but I just can't get over these feelings. I still love you. I know that I've tried to tell you this before, but I was a mess. I didn't know what I was saying. But it's not the depression talking anymore. I have the most incredible clarity about what I am saying and what I am feeling, especially after everything we've just been through.

Shawn D.: I don't know what to say.

Mimi: There you guys are.

Philip: We didn't know where you went.

Mimi: What's going on?

Philip: Honey, what's wrong? You've been crying. What is it? Belle? I think I know exactly what's wrong.

Billie: Hey. I know you're scared, and you're looking for a way out. But breaking up Bo and Hope isn't it.

Chelsea: Mom, please.

Billie: No, Chelsea. We're talking about your dad's happiness. We can't ruin his life to save your own.

Chelsea: How are we gonna be ruining his life, Mom? You love him, and you're so much better for him than Hope. And I know that he still has feelings for you. Why else do you think that Hope gets so mad at you all the time? Look, if Bo and Hope get back together, dad is going to lose his daughter. I mean, unless you think that he's better off without me..

Billie: Oh, come on, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Mom, you always say you love me, okay? So give me a family. Give me my mom and dad. All I need is for you guys to be together. And you say that you want to protect me and you want to care for me, so then follow through with that. Because if you don't, I'm gonna go to prison for the rest of my life, and my life will be over.

Hope: How could you use your influence to get Zack's murderer out of jail?

Bo: Hope, don't put it -- this has been an impossible situation.

Hope: Impossible? No, you had choices all along. You just kept making the wrong ones, Brady.

Bo: If Shawn were in trouble, you'd do anything to protect him, no matter what he'd done. Now, Chelsea going to prison isn't gonna bring our little boy back.

Hope: What the hell is wrong with you?! She killed our son, Brady!

Bo: We need each other right now. That's obvious. Just let me take some of your pain.

Hope: My pain? Here. Zack's preschool sent all of his things home. He made me a Valentine that he'll never get the chance to give me because he's dead. "Be My Valentine, Mommy. Love, Zack."

Bo: I'm sorry, Fancy Face.

Hope: Sorry? Our lives, our family has been destroyed. Just leave.

Bo: No. This is my home, and I love you.

Hope: Don't, please. Don't say that. Just go.

Bo: No. I can't leave you like this.

Hope: Fine. If you won't, then I will.

Bo: Hope.

Hope: I'll go to Jen's. I'll go to Gran's. It doesn't matter where I go.

Bo: Okay, stay. Stay. You can stay here.

Hope: And you'll go?

Bo: If that's what you want.

Hope: You don't deserve to be here. I want you out.

Philip: Look, we're all upset here, okay? We're all upset about Zack. Shawn, all I can say is that every day for the rest of Claire's life I'm gonna say a prayer for him. Because without his liver, I would have lost my daughter. We would have lost our daughter. And I think that my very beautiful wife here is going through a little bit of survivor guilt. Zack died so Claire could live. And, honey, there's an expression for it. It's called post-traumatic stress.. You saw me go through it at the hospital in Germany, remember? You never know when grief is gonna hit you or how or when. I think the best thing you can do is just let me take you home and take care of you, okay? We'll see Claire, and we'll count our blessings, all right?

Mimi: Are you okay?

Shawn D.: Huh?

Mimi: I think we should probably go home, too.

Shawn D.: Yeah, I think that's a good idea.

Philip: Okay. I'm gonna go take care of the check. Don't worry about it. I'll get the coats. It'll be fine.

John: Any sign of him?

Officer: No, sir. Nothing.

Abe: The whole hospital's in lockdown, he's got to be around here somewhere.

John: All right, Abraham. Where do you think he is?

Abe: I don't know. But I tell you, we're gonna find him.

Tek: Lexie, have you seen Alex North anywhere?

Lexie: If I had, I would have told my husband.

Tek: Have you thought about what we talked about?

Lexie: Tek!

Tek: You want to be a mother again. I know you do.

Lexie: Stop this.

Tek: I can give you a child. Abe canít. Why should a woman in her prime have to hang it up just 'cause her husband can't cut it? You're the most desirable woman I've ever known, Lexie.

Abe: What are you two whispering about?

John: Still no sign of Alex.

Marlena: I told you where Alex is -- at the mall. I spoke to him on his cellphone.

John: Oh, come on. That's not evidence. He's in the hospital. Think about it -- Lois isn't that tall of a woman. How do you think she got up there all by herself?

Marlena: Was there a policeman at her door?

John: No.

Marlena: Well, then I guess we'll never know exactly what happened, will we?

John: Abe dismissed the officer so I could enter her room and give her the injection.

Marlena: And if you hadn't done that, she would have been watched. And if she weren't under the control of a mind-altering drug, this never would have happened.

John: This happened because of Alex. I was just trying to help you.

Marlena: I didn't ask for your help. Giving her that serum was certainly unethical, most likely illegal. John, John, why don't you take responsibility for your part in the piece and leave Alex alone? Because Alex is innocent.

Chelsea: I hate to say this, but you've never really been the best judge of what guy's right for you.

Billie: [Laughing] And I suppose you are at the tender age of 18. Who should I be with?

Chelsea: Well, I know that you shouldn't have been with Patrick, that's for sure. I mean, I know that you were hot for him.

Billie: I think you were hot for him, too, at one point.

Chelsea: Please don't remind me. He turned me in, Mom. He's the one that showed Hope the picture that proved I was the one driving the car that night. He might as well have signed my death warrant, as far as I'm concerned. And now whose side is he on? Who is he letting cry on his shoulder? It's not me, and it's certainly not you. He's all about Hope these days.

Billie: Okay, can you get to the point, please?

Chelsea: The point is that you and Patrick didn't work out for a reason.

Billie: And what's that, hot shot?

Chelsea: Come on, Mom, just admit it. You still love Bo, and you always have. The only reason you even ever looked at Patrick was because Bo was taken. But guess what? He's not taken anymore.

Billie: We don't know that, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Well, I do know that Hope is a self-righteous bitch.

Billie: Hey, she just lost her child.

Chelsea: Yeah, Mom, you lost a child once, too, remember? But did Hope care? Did she care? No, she didnít. Look, you once told me that I was conceived out of love, remember?

Billie: Yes.

Chelsea: A love that you and Bo both shared, a love that never died. So finally, now, after waiting patiently for so many years, you finally have the chance to be with the only man you've ever loved -- my father. We could actually be a family. If you're with Bo, he's gonna help keep me out of jail. It's really a win-win situation. I'll be free, and you'll be with the only man you've ever dreamt about being with for most of your life.

Man: Where's my beer?

Bo: Keep your shirt on.

Man: Hey, I was here first.

Bo: Quiet, you big baby.

Man: Hey, you say that to my face.

Bo: Somebody sounds like you need a pacifier. Is that the best you can do? Come on. You hit like a girl. Come on! Now, that's what I'm talking about.

[People screaming]

Mimi: My mom is going to go crazy when she sees this ring. Crazy. It's so beautiful, Shawn. It's perfect -- simple, elegant, and I feel so special knowing it's a family heirloom.

Belle: I still love you.

Mimi: Shawn, Shawn.

Shawn D.: I'm sorry, what?

Mimi: Oh, are you thinking about Zack? Then what's wrong?

Shawn D.: Just that you're not close enough.

Belle: She is so beautiful.

Philip: We're very lucky. Come on, honey. Come to bed. Of course, Shawn and Mimi are very lucky, too. I can't imagine how Shawn is dealing with what he's going through. I'm just glad he has her.

Belle: Yeah.

Philip: I think they are going to be so happy together. Hey. Is something wrong?

Belle: I just wish I had handled things differently with Shawn.

Philip: Honey, you were upset. I'm sure he understands.

Belle: I shouldn't have said anything. I was so dumb.

Philip: Belle, we have been friends with them for our whole lives, okay? We don't need to go around apologizing for our feelings. Of course Shawn's gonna be torn up about losing somebody's love for so long. We're all hurting. Actually, if you think about it, it probably actually helps him to know that he's not alone in grieving for Zack. He's got us, right?

Belle: Yeah.

Philip: Right. And more importantly, he's got Mimi, who I think is absolutely perfect for him to recover from the loss of his little brother. I'm just so glad they moved up the wedding.

Belle: You think that's a good idea?

Philip: Sure, don't you?

Belle: I'm just too tired to think about it.

Philip: Too tired? Are you too tired to think or are you too tired to do anything?

Belle: Philip, I'm really exhausted. It's -- today has been --

Philip: [Sighs] I know. I know. I'll see you in the morning, and I love you very, very much.

Lexie: Tek thought that I might have seen Alex in Lois' room earlier. Sorry, Tek, but I am no help at all to you. So the answer to your question is "no." Honey, I hope you're not overdoing things, you know. You just got your eyesight back and everything.

Abe: It was just in time. Hey, don't worry about me. I'm fine. I'd feel a lot better if I could help John nail that bastard Alex North before he kills anyone else.

John: All I need is for her to regain consciousness long enough for me to get a statement.

Marlena: Oh! What a generous attitude you have. She's half out of her mind, you know. Why would you ever believe anything she said about Alex?

John: Well, because I gave her truth serum. Now, look, I understand you may not remember anything about your medical training.

Marlena: What I remember about is that the serum is not foolproof.

John: Listen, Lois didn't make this up out of the blue. I didn't give her any leading questions. The fact is, Alex is not the man you think he is.

Marlena: Alex is not the man that you think he is. My Alex is caring, generous, thoughtful, and a fabulous doctor. And I have all the confidence in the world in him.

John: I'm telling you, he tried to kill Lois, and if we don't stop him right now, you are next.

Marlena: I'm telling you, you are wrong.

Marlena: Why don't you stop searching? You're never going to find anything to incriminate Alex. You're making a fool of yourself, John. Why can't you accept the fact that I've chosen to spend my life with Alex?

John: I knew it. We have, uh, scrubs.

Marlena: All right, so what?

John: He used them as a disguise.

Abe: John, look who I found lurking in the hallway.

Marlena: Oh, Alex!

John: Well, we knew you were hiding out here in the hospital. Just a matter of time till we caught you. Oh, by the way, Lois Banks isn't dead. And once she regains consciousness and gives me a statement, by God, you're gonna wish you were.

Belle: I still love you, Shawn. I still love you.

Belle: How could I be so stupid? How could I tell Shawn that I still love him?

Shawn D.: That's what I want to know. So is it true? Do you still love me?

Hope: No. I'll be fine. I'll be fine on my own. Looks like it's something we're gonna have to get used to.

Patrick: Okay. If you change your mind, you know how to reach me.

Hope: Patrick, thank you.

Patrick: Sure. Good night.

Hope: Good night.

Patrick: You don't deserve her, Bo.

Roy: Hey, darling, it's your favorite bartender here.

Billie: Hey, Roy. What's going on over there? It sounds like a brawl.

Roy: Yeah. Bo Brady's tearing the place up. Didn't want to call the cops -- figured this is the last thing his wife needs to be dealing with right now, so I figured I'd call you. You two go way back, don't you?

Billie: Yeah. Yeah, we do. Listen, I'll be right over, okay? Uh, Chelsea? Bo needs me right now, so I got to go. Will you be all right?

Chelsea: Yeah, I'll be great. Go take care of dad.

Billie: Okay, thanks. I love you.

Chelsea: I love you, too. I never dreamed that it would be this easy. Mom and dad are this close to getting back together already.

Bo: Hope threw me out of the house. She can't stand the sight of me. My life with her is over.

John: He lied to you about where he was 'cause he needed an alibi. It was you who did this to Lois.

Mimi: That little girl sleeping so soundly doesn't belong to you, Philip..

Belle: What?
