Tek: Hey, baby. I've been looking all over for you.

Lexie: Uh... no, no. I -- no. Wait. Tek, no. No!

Nurse: Would you like me to get you back into bed?

Abe: Oh, no. Chair's fine. I wish my wife would be here.

Nurse: Should I page her for you?

Abe: No, it's okay. I'm sure she'll be along soon.

Lexie: What the hell do you think you're doing, Tek?

Bonnie: [Sighs] What a bummer. Look at me. Sitting around here on my big butt -- no smokes, no premium channels, no nothing. Mimi sure doesn't make it easy. But if being a good mom means taking a bullet for my little girl, well, then, line me up and fire away. 'Cause there's no way I'm gonna let her lose Shawn. Ahh! Wow, according to this, you could be really sick. [Laughing] Really stumped the doctors this time, didn't you? Course, that doesn't take much around here. Oh, poor Mimi. I hate to worry her sicker than I am, but her insisting on all those damn ethics and morals and honesty is the reason my blood pressure's going through the roof.. I just hope this scares her enough to forget that Shawn is Claire's daddy. 'Cause that's the only way she's gonna grant her mother's dying wish.

Bonnie: Baby, I want to be able to go up to the big old singles bar in the sky at peace. I want my Mimi married. I want to know she's hitched to the man she loves, and that the two of you are on your way to happily ever after.

Mimi: Mom.

Bonnie: Will you do that for me, Shawn? Will you grant a possibly dying woman's last wish and marry Mimi as soon as you can, while I'm still here to see it?

Mimi: [Thinking] How can I marry Shawn now that I know he's the father of Belle's baby?

Shawn D.: Bet I know what you're thinking about.

Mimi: Oh, yeah? Try me.

Shawn D.: Well, I know you're worried about your mom, and your probably thinking about what she said about us getting married as soon as possible. You know what? I think we should do it.

Chelsea: I can't believe that this is happening. I killed my baby brother, now my life is over, too.

Billie: You can't know that, Chelsea.

Chelsea: Yeah, I do.

Billie: Listen, once the Judge hears your case, and understands that it was an accident, she may let you off with a fine and community service.

Chelsea: You don't really think that, that's gonna happen, do you?

Billie: It's a possibility.

Chelsea: No matter what the Judge decides, my pretty much over.

Billie: Don't say that, Chelsea. Don't say that.

Chelsea: I am just trying to prepare myself, okay? That's all.

Billie: Oh, honey. I know you're worried. And I wish to God that there was something I could do about it.

Patrick: Don't you think you've done enough?

Bo: On, Fancy Face. Pick up.

Hope: Hi, this is Hope. Leave a message, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Have a good day!

Bo: Hope, it's me. Listen, I'm worried about you. We need each other right now. We just lost our son. We can't lose each other. I love you, Fancy Face. Just call me. Let me know you're all right. Okay? Where are you, Hope?

[Doorbell rings]

Jennifer: Hey.

Hope: Oh, thank God you're here.

Jennifer: What's wrong? Come in. Talk to me. Did something happen at Billie's arraignment? What happened? Tell me.

Hope: It's worse than I ever could have thought.

Jennifer: I know. It's gonna take time, Hope.

Hope: Jennifer, Bo lied to me.

Jennifer: What do you mean?

Hope: About who killed our -- who killed our son.

Jennifer: What do you mean?

Hope: It wasn't Billie. It was their daughter.

Jennifer: It was Chelsea?

Hope: Chelsea was the one who was driving Bo's car that night. He and Billie didn't want me to find out. So Bo deliberately kept the truth from me.

Jennifer: Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.

Billie: Patrick, I don't understand why you would do something like this.. What possessed you to go to the convenience store and look through the surveillance tapes?

Patrick: I guess itís crazy to think you might thank me.

Billie: Thank you?! For what?! For making a bad situation even worse?!

Patrick: I knew you weren't driving Bo's SUV that night. So I found a way to prove it.

Billie: This is none of your business, Patrick.

Patrick: Well, I wasn't gonna let you plead guilty to killing Zack Brady, and I couldn't stand by and let you go to prison for something she did. I still can't believe she was willing to throw you to the wolves -- her own mother.

Billie: This is between me and Chelsea. You should've stayed out of it!

Patrick: You know, Chelsea, I've always tried to be good to you.

Chelsea: Yeah, well, that sure changed, didn't it?

Patrick: No. Nothing's changed. I still care about you.

Chelsea: No, Patrick. The only person you care about is Billie.

Patrick: I'm sorry you see it that way. But the truth was going to come out. I was trying to keep your mother out of prison.

Chelsea: Yeah, well, now I'm gonna be the one doing time. You satisfied?

Patrick: I hope the Judge gives you a lenient sentence. I really do.

Chelsea: Yeah, well, weíll see, won't we?

Billie: Chelsea. Chelsea!

Patrick: Let her go.

Billie: No! I am her mother, damn it! And I haven't had a lot of time to be that to her, but God knows I've been trying! This was the one thing I could do for her! The one thing! And because of you, I can't!

Patrick: Come on.

Billie: No. You know what, Patrick? You don't have kids. You donít understand.

Patrick: Oh, I understand that covering up your child's mistakes isn't right, okay? She's not gonna end up in the State Pen. She is young. It was an accident.

Billie: You don't know how the Judge is gonna rule any more than I do. You rolled the dice on my daughter's future. You had no right to do that.

Patrick: Well, I'm sorry if I ruined your little plan, okay?

Billie: You know, there was a time when I thought we had something really special. Oh, I was wrong.

Patrick: What exactly are you saying, Billie?

Billie: I'm saying it was a mistake to ever get involved with you. We're finished.

Bo: Oh! Hey.

Chelsea: Sorry.

Bo: No, it's okay. Where are you going?

Chelsea: I don't know. I just can't be in there anymore. Dad, I'm so scared.

Jennifer: Hope, this doesn't make any sense. Bo knew it was Chelsea all along?

Hope: And he never said a damn thing.

Jennifer: So Chelsea is the one who stole Bo's car?

Hope: She didn't steal it. She didn't have to, Jen. Bo let her take it.

Jennifer: I thought she lost her license!

Hope: She did lose her license. She was supposed to take 10 classes he could drive again. But suddenly, Bo decided that he should sign off on a temporary license for her after just two classes.

Jennifer: Why? What?

Hope: I don't -- oh, my God. Wait a second. It's all coming back to me.

Jennifer: Tell me what's wrong.

Hope: Bo and I were at the hospital, and he had to go pick up Chelsea. That's when he must have given her the car. And then he got another call from her and -- [Sobbing] When he was with her, that's when I found Zack. Couldn't get ahold of him.

Jennifer: Hope, there's no way that he could have known.

Hope: He didnít. Chelsea didn't even know that she hit Zack 'cause she never bothered to stop to check.

Jennifer: I don't even know what to say, Hope.

Hope: Bo never said anything. He never told me any of this, Jen. He's my husband. He's Zack's father. And he never said a word.

Jennifer: Well, when --

Hope: As soon as the officers said that it was his car -- oh, God. He kept telling me that it must have been a misunderstanding and that he was gonna get to the bottom of it. But he lied. He lied to me. He lied! How can he do that to me?

Jennifer: Maybe he was just waiting for the shock of Zack's death to wear off a little bit before he told you. Think of the terrible position that he's in. He loses his son and then finds out his daughter might be responsible. I can't even imagine what he must have been going through.

Hope: Don't you dare defend him to me!

Nurse: Soon as the doctor gives the word, we're gonna remove those bandages.

Abe: [Laughs] I've been waiting for this for a long, long time.

Lexie: You are playing a very dangerous game here. My husband is just outside this door. Abe just had a corneal transplant -- a very delicate operation. If he gets his sight back, this had better not be the first thing he sees.

Tek: Want the truth? I missed you, Lexie. I was hoping we could spend a little time together.

Lexie: How many times do I have to tell you? I am staying with Abe. Abe is my mate. Abe is my only focus. Your being here is totally inappropriate.

Tek: I thought you might have changed your mind.

Lexie: Well, I havenít.

Tek: Lexie, just because Abe may be getting his sight back doesn't mean he's gonna be able to make you happy. He hasn't satisfied you in the bedroom in a long time, and you know it.

Lexie: That is none of your business.

Tek: Lexie, I don't want to be disrespectful to Abe, but you are a passionate woman. You're still young. You should be with a man who knows how to treat you right.

Lexie: Oh, and you think you're that man?

Tek: Yeah, I do.

Mimi: Before we go setting any wedding date, Shawn, there's something that we have to talk about.

Bonnie: Oh, God. I got to do something fast before Mimi blows her entire future. [Screaming] Oh, God!

Mimi: Mom?! Mom, what is it?

Bonnie: It hurts!

Mimi: Where does it hurt?

Bonnie: Everywhere. I can't breathe.

Shawn D.: I'll go get a doctor.

Mimi: Hold off on that for a minute. Mom, how bad is the pain, okay? What can I do to help you?

Bonnie: There may be something you can do.

Patrick: You can't be serious.

Billie: I am.

Patrick: You're going to throw away everything that you and I have together because I kept you out of prison.

Billie: Because you didn't respect my wishes or something you knew was important to me.

Patrick: Just talk about this calmly.

Billie: Not be calm. There was a time when I thought that you and I could --

Patrick: You and I what?

Billie: Never mind. It doesn't matter.

Patrick: Billie, we've gotten very close. I don't want it to end.

Billie: Well, I've been trying to get close to Chelsea, get her to trust me, to open up to me, and if you hadn't interfered, that may have happened. But now I'll never know!

Patrick: Damn it, Billie, I did what I thought was right.

Bo: Leave her alone, Lockhart.

Patrick: This doesn't concern you, Bo.

Billie: No. There's nothing left to talk about, Patrick. Just go. Get out.

Patrick: Fine. If that's what you want. I'm not going to beg. But just know this, it didn't have to be this way.

Jennifer: Hope, listen to me. I am not defending Bo. Well, I am defending him a little bit.

Hope: I don't want to hear that.

Jennifer: Listen to me. I know you don't want to hear it, but you know how much I love you and Bo -- both of you. And I know that he knew that this would be so devastating for you. Don't you think he was trying to spare your feelings? Look at Jack. He knew he was dying. He did not want me to know. He was trying to keep it from me. If I hadn't found those pills, he never would have told me, Hope.

Hope: It was wrong. What he did was wrong, just like what Bo did was wrong. I'm gonna grab a glass of water.

[Doorbell rings]

Jennifer: Patrick, hi.

Patrick: Hi. Hey.

Jennifer: How are you?

Patrick: Good. I just came by to see how you were doing.

Jennifer: Uh, I'm good. But you know what? It's not a good time.

Patrick: Hope's here.

Jennifer: Yeah.

Patrick: I saw her car in the driveway. Is she doing okay?

Jennifer: No. Patrick, I don't know if she's ever going to from all this..

Tek: Look, I know you love Abe, but I don't think you're in love with him, Lexie.

Lexie: Well, then, you don't know what you're talking about.

Tek: I know more than you think. Abe's not gonna hear us, so let me say my piece and then I'll go. A few minutes ago when I kissed you, you kissed me back. And you don't want to be disloyal to your husband. I get that. But what kind of husband has he been to you, Lexie? Sex is part of marriage. He hasn't been a real partner to you in a long time.

Lexie: It's not his fault.

Tek: No, it's not, but he hasn't been a companion to you, either. When was the last time he took you out to a concert or dinner or even for a walk? There's a lot of stuff he's still able to do, but I don't hear you talking about doing anything with him. And then there's Theo..

Lexie: Theo's just fine!

Tek: Does Abe do stuff with him?

Lexie: He tries.

Tek: Right. He tries, and then he gives up. He gets frustrated. Am I right? And then who does he take it out on?

Lexie: Tek, please, just don't do this, okay?

Tek: I don't want to be hard on Abe. Losing your sight is a terrible thing, but it's not the end of the world. He's made it the end of the world for him and you both.

Lexie: Okay, enough! Look, nobody's life is perfect. But Abe is a good man, and I am ashamed of the way that I have been acting towards him. And you! You're supposed to be his friend, Tek. I would like for you to show him a little more respect.

Tek: I do respect him. But you, I love.

Nurse: I'll go see about those bandages.

Abe: Mmm. I appreciate that. Oh, Nurse.

Nurse: Yeah?

Abe: I thought I left my robe here on the bed. Someone must have hung it up. Could you just see if it might be in the closet or the bathroom?

Nurse: Sure, I'll check.

Mimi: What can I do for you, Mom? Would you like another pillow, glass of water, what?

Bonnie: No, baby, please. None of that's gonna help. I'm the pain, and the pain is winning. And that's the long and short of it. Ooh! I know it's tough seeing me like this.. I've always been strong as an Ox.

Mimi: Yes, you have.

Bonnie: Baby, I just don't think this is something your ma be able to bounce back from.

Mimi: Don't say that! You can't just give up like that.

Shawn D.: Mimi's right. You have to think positive. It's the only way you're gonna get through this.

Bonnie: I'm afraid it's too late for me. I should have taken care of this a long time ago. I should have come in for a checkup. I should have stopped some of my sinning. I'm sorry, honey. Please don't be mad. I just want my little girl to be happy. Shawn. And we can both be happy if you and Shawn would just get married while I'm still around to see it.

Mimi: Um, could you give my mother and me a few minutes alone?

Shawn D.: Yeah, sure.

Mimi: Thanks. Drop it, Mom.

Bonnie: What? Am I asking so much?

Mimi: I told you before. I'm not gonna start off my marriage with a lie. Shawn needs to know he's the father of Belle's baby.

Bonnie: Well, then, you might as well kiss being Mrs. Shawn happily-ever-after Brady goodbye.

Mimi: I learned m with Rex. I lost him because I lied to him. And if I'm gonna lose Shawn by telling him the truth, then that's the price I'm gonna have to pay.

Bonnie: Do what you want. It's your life. [Inhales sharply] But I am telling you, you're making a mighty big mistake.

Mimi: [Sighs]

Billie: You said the truth would come out.

Bo: Yeah. It came out in the worst possible way.

Billie: I am so sorry. So sorry, Bo. Were you able to reach Hope?

Bo: No. I think her cell's been turned off. [Cellphone rings] Oh! It's the station. Brady. Yeah. Okay, I'll tell her. Um, thanks for the call. Free to go.

Billie: Just like that.

Bo: Yeah. D.A.'s dropped the charges on the hit-and-run.

Billie: So now Chelsea will be charged?

Bo: I'm afraid so.

Chelsea: I can't believe this is actually happening.

Patrick: I just came from the courthouse. I know you know there's no love lost between me and Bo, but thatís a living a nightmare. Because of this senseless tragedy, he may lose both his children.

Hope: If that happens, he has no one to blame but himself. How could I ever forgive him?

Lexie: Okay. Okay, Tek, listen to me. Whatever you and I had in the past is over. I don't want to hurt you, but that's just the way it is.

Tek: That does hurt. If you really mean it.

Lexie: Yes, I do. Look, I'm willing to take some of the blame here. If I gave you mixed signals, I'm sorry, okay? So let me f perfectly clear. I love my husband, and I am staying with him. And that's that.

Tek: You keep saying you love Abe, and I'm sure you do, but you also love me, Lexie. And that's not just gonna go away.

Lexie: My goodness, you are pretty sure of yourself, huh?

Tek: I just know what I feel, and I know the vibe I get from you.

[Pager vibrates]

Lexie: Oh, great. A patient needs me. I got to get out of here.

Tek: Don't panic. If we're careful, Abe won't know we're here.

Lexie: And just how are we supposed to pull that off? Abe may not have his sight, but his hearing is better than ever.

Abe: Who's there?

Mimi: It's okay, come in.

Shawn D.: How are you doing?

Mimi: Uh, we're not sure how she's doing.

Shawn D.: Well, I had them page Lexie, and I think she should take another look at you, Bonnie.

Bonnie: Thank you, Shawn.

Lexie: What's the problem?

Mimi: She seems to be in more pain.

Lexie: Let's see if I can get to the bottom of this.

Mimi: Shawn and I will be right outside, okay?

Lexie: Okay. Bonnie, this pain of yours, can you tell me where it is?

Bonnie: It hurts to just breathe.

Lexie: Hmm. Sounds normal.

Bonnie: Well, it doesn't feel normal.

Lexie: Okay, well, describe the pain to me.

Bonnie: It's like a dagger. More like a machete, just -- sharp!

Lexie: Hmm. I'm gonna order more tests.

Bonnie: Why?

Lexie: I don't want to miss anything serious.

Bonnie: How serious?

Lexie: Well, women in your age group usually --

Bonnie: Whoa! What age group? I'm younger than you think.

Lexie: [Laughs] Bonnie, honey, your age is in your chart.

Bonnie: Oh, yeah.

Lexie: Look, I'm not saying that you're there yet, but women entering menopause are prime candidates for heart disease. And their symptoms are often atypical.

Bonnie: That sounds serious.

Lexie: Yeah, it is. But, fortunately, with medication, proper diet, exercise, and quitting smoking, you can decrease you reducing stress also helps.

Shawn D.: Maybe I'm imagining things, but I get the feeling you're not that anxious to go ahead with the wedding.

Mimi: Why would you think that?

Shawn D.: Well, am I wrong?

Mimi: Yes, you're wrong. Nothing would make me happier. It's just that ĖLexie? What is it?

Lexie: Mimi, I am very concerned about your mother.

Mimi: Oh, no. Is it really serious?

Lexie: I've checked the results of her EKG and the other tests we ran.

Mimi: Did she have a heart attack?

Lexie: No. But she's going to have to make some major lifestyle changes or she could very easily have one.

Shawn D.: By lifestyle changes, y--

Lexie: She has to quit smoking, cut down on the drinking, exercise more, switch to a low-fat diet.

Mimi: My mom? Oh, good luck.

[Country music playing]

Bonnie: Whoo-hoo!

[Mimi coughing]

Bonnie: Oh, God. Mm-mmm. I have died and gone to heaven. Hey, baby! Want some? I got plenty.

Mimi: No, thanks.

Lexie: Are you okay?

Nurse: Sorry to interrupt, Dr. Carver I need you for a minute.

Lexie: Excuse me. What is it?

Nurse: Abe's asking for you.

Lexie: Oh! I'm sorry, but I have to go. I'll be back in a little while, okay?

Mimi: I don't believe this, Shawn. What if my mom really is dying?

Abe: Look, I know someone's here. Are you gonna tell me who you are?

Tek: It's me, Abe. It's Tek.

Abe: Tek. What brings you here? The truth? I came to see your wife.

Bonnie: Mimi!

Mimi: Mom, I'll be there in just a minute, okay?

Shawn D.: Hey, come here. Regardless of how all this turns out, maybe we should just grant your mother her wish.

Mimi: But what about your family? They're not ready for a wedding. You said so yourself.

Shawn D.: If I explain it to them, I'm sure they will understand. So what's the big deal? We're in love, and we want to get married. Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe this is exactly what we all need right now. So why not?

Mimi: Maybe we should just talk about it later, okay? I should go in and see my mom.

Bonnie: Come here, baby girl. You've always made me so proud, Mimi.

Mimi: Not always.

Bonnie: Picky. Picky. [Chuckles] I know I haven't been the best mother, but I did the best I could. That could work for an epitaph. She did the best she could.

Mimi: That's not funny.

Bonnie: Hey, you know I always loved you, don't you?

Mimi: I love you, too, Mom.

Bonnie: Even though I embarrass you sometimes?

Mimi: Even if it's more than sometimes.

Bonnie: You think I'm seeming silly, don't you, wanting to make sure you're taken care of after I'm gone?

Mimi: It's not silly. I mean, even if Shawn and I -- there are no guarantees, Mom.

Bonnie: Well, it would give me peace of mind knowing you're taken care of. That you had your chance. [Inhales, exhales] So what did you decide, huh? Are you gonna forget about this Claire thing? Make your mama happy, calm?

Mimi: I guess.

Bonnie: Really? You're gonna marry Shawn? Pronto?

Mimi: Yes, mom. Pronto.

Hope: I know you care about Chelsea. She doesn't care about anyone but herself. I treated her like she was my own daughter. And now I wish to God that she had never come into our lives.

Patrick: I understand how you feel about her. And while I get why Billie was trying to cover for her, she shouldn't have done that.

Hope: And Bo never should have gone along with it.

Patrick: I agree.

Hope: Look, you need to know that as Zack's mother I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that Chelsea receives the maximum sentence the law allows.

Patrick: Are you serious?

Hope: Dead serious.

Patrick: It was an accident, Hope. Chelsea didn't know she hit Zack. She loved him. She is devastated right now.

Hope: I don't think she feels the slightest remorse for what she did.

Patrick: Well, I'm here to tell you she is genuinely upset.

Hope: Because she killed my son or because she's worried about what will happen to her?

Patrick: Both.

Hope: That girl was willing to let her mother go to prison for her. That's not human.

Patrick: She is your husband's child, okay? So I think you need to talk to both of them. To Bo and Chelsea. The three of you somehow have to work this thing out.

Hope: It's not gonna happen. The way I feel right now, I don't care if I ever see either one of them again.

Jennifer: Oh, I need to check on the baby.

Hope: No, let me. I'd like to spend some time with J.J.

Jennifer: Okay. He'll be thrilled to see you. Oh, my gosh. I have never seen my cousin like this. She just feels so alone. I mean, Bo did not even trust her with the truth. How's she gonna get through this without her husband?

Patrick: Well, I hope for her sake she wonít. She has to find a way to forgive Bo.

Jennifer: You know, when Jack found out he was dying, he did everything to keep it from me. And when I finally found out, I don't know if I was angrier because he was dying or because he didn't tell me the truth. And now bo has done the same thing to Hope. So not only has she lost her son, she may very well lose her marriage.

Bo: Yeah, she's with me now. Okay. I'll wait for you.

Billie: Who was it?

Bo: The Prosecutor's Office. They're sending over an Assistant D.A.

Chelsea: So this is it?

Bo: They're gonna file official charges against you for Zack's death.

Billie: Okay. All right. Come here.

Austin: Breaking up Highstyle gave me an appetite for more of the same. It's my future.

Abe: You are so beautiful.

Lexie: Oh, sweetheart. You can see!

Chelsea: What about Hope? She hates me.

Hope: Bo's got to make a choice. If he decides to stand by Chelsea Benson, then he loses his marriage to me. It's that simple.
