Nicole: Austin, wait. Who are you calling?

Austin: I'm calling the C.E.O. to give her a heads-up.

Nicole: No, no, no, no, no. Austin, no.

Austin: Yes, yes, yes, yes.

Nicole: Austin, please forget the heads-up, all right? The crummy job she's doing -- she deserves a thumbs-down. Look, you need to sign this to complete the takeover and put her out of her misery.

Austin: It's Christmas. That may not mean something to you, but it does to me. I'm not gonna oust the head of a company without talking to her first.

Becky: Highstyle. Merry, Merry.

Austin: Merry Christmas. I need to speak to your C.E.O.

Becky: Oh, I'm sorry. She's at our Christmas party right now. If I can have your name --

Austin: I need to speak with her now.

Becky: She's not --

Carrie: Is that for me?

Becky: Yeah. Just one moment.

Becky: I thought you were through for the day.

Carrie: Oh, I am, but I'll get rid of whoever it is, and I'll get back to the party. Your guacamole is to die for.

Austin: Hello. This is Austin Reed.

John: So the blinds are closed. What the hell are you up to, North?

John: Everyone's so stressed tonight. See how upset Marlena was and so vulnerable? I wouldn't put it past North to try to take advantage of her.

Kate: John, what are you doing?

John: I'm just gonna make sure that Marlena's okay.

Alex: Then let me be there for you. Let me take care of you in every way..

John: I've lost her, Kate. I've lost her.

John: If I don't do something soon, Alex and Marlena are gonna get closer and closer.

Kate: Well, if there's any change, you'll call, right? Okay. I appreciate that. Thank you.

John: How's the baby?

Kate: Still critical.

John: Hang in there.

Kate: We just have to hope for a miracle.

John: Yeah, well, I'm kind of hoping for two miracles. I want that baby to recover, and I want my wife back. And with any luck, I'm gonna have some good news on one of those fronts real soon.

Hope: I'm sure Chelsea didn't mean what she said. You did the right thing.

Bo: Yeah. Yeah. She thinks if her cop father had pulled some strings, she wouldn't have lost her license. Now not only can't she drive, but she's got to do hours and hours and hours of community service.

Hope: She'll figure out it's not the end of the world. She may find it very rewarding.

Bo: Yeah, well, in the meantime, it doesn't do much for father/daughter relations.

Hope: Give it some time. It'll get better.

Bo: I hope so. Listen, I'm sorry I stepped out on Jack's service.

Hope: Jennifer, I'm sure, understands. This is your daughter.

Bo: Well, enough of Chelsea's drama. Let's see how Jen's doing.

Frankie: It looks like everyone in town sent flowers.

Jennifer: Yeah. I'm gonna bring them over to the hospital. I thought it would brighten up some patients' rooms.

Frankie: It's a great idea. Well... I guess I better get back and, uh, finish packing. That is what you want, right?

Jennifer: Uh, yeah. Yeah.

Frankie: Okay. Hey. Uh, I was just heading back to the house, and, uh, I gotta get my stuff.

Bo: Um, why don't I help you out?

Frankie: Really? Oh, that would be great. Thanks. I'll see -- I'll see you later.

Jennifer: Okay.

Bo: See you later.

Hope: Jennifer. Jen, I think -- I think you're making a really big mistake. You need to stop Frankie, and you need to stop him now -- before it's too late.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.

Kate: Well, I'm curious. We desperately need good news. What's going on?

John: The ISA. is checking into Alex's past again.

Kate: You've told that all of his stories checked out, so why are you still digging?

John: I said they checked out so far. Yeah, they were married. Yeah, he was a government guy with the Special Ops, declared dead, and she got amnesia. Blah, blah, blah.

Kate: Well, then...

John: Now I want to know what he hasn't told us, because I know there's a lot...more to this story. And there it is.

Kate: What? What is it?

John: Another piece of the puzzle, and this one's gonna change the spin of the ball.

Bo: It looks like you were getting ready to hunker down.

Frankie: [Chuckles] You know, it's funny. When I first got here, I thought I'd be here a week, a month. And now...what can I say?

Bo: You're making yourself comfortable.

Frankie: Salem's always been my home.

Bo: So, why are you leaving?

Frankie: Jen wants me to go.

Bo: Hey, hold on. Look, I love Jen, but I don't think she knows what she wants right now.

Frankie: She's going through a rough time. Believe me, I'd like to be here and help her, but...

Bo: So... why don't you stay?

Frankie: You don't think I want to? Hell, if I had it my way, I'd -- I'd be here for every holiday from now on. I love her.

Bo: Well, Frankie, that's obvious.

Frankie: Come on, Bo. Why do you think it's never worked out for me and any other woman? I never got over her. Jack knew it. [Exhales sharply] I think on some level, Jen knows it, too, so...

Bo: Then I got to ask -- why are you bailing? Frankie, just talk to her. Tell her you want to stay.

Jennifer: There's nothing like fresh flowers to brighten up a hospital room, and this is the time of year for giving. Abby's already taken all of her clothes to the shelter.

Hope: I know what you're doing, Jen.

Jennifer: What am I doing?

Hope: You don't want to talk about Frankie, so you're going on about everything but him.

Jennifer: Don't do this.

Hope: It would be one thing if it was really what you wanted, but it's so clear that it's not. Just be honest with yourself. You really don't want him to go.

Jennifer: I do want him to go. That's what I told him, and that's what I'm telling you. I don't understand why everyone thinks that I am so helpless. It's a little demeaning. I can stand on my own two feet. I don't need Frankie or any other man to take my husband's place. He was the love of my life. He is irreplaceable.

Hope: Of course he is.

Jennifer: For heaven's sake, this is the day of his memorial service. This is so wrong that you're even talking about this.

Hope: What, that Jack wanted Frankie to make sure you were okay?

Jennifer: Jack can't make me fall in love with someone else! There is no one else!

[Voice breaking] Jack meant everything to me. He will always be everything to me.

Hope: Jen, I don't think you should get ahead of yourself. Don't think about falling in love with Frankie, but don't push away your friend, either.

Jennifer: [Sighs]

Hope: You don't really want him to go, do you? You're just feeling guilty about having him stay.

Jennifer: Hope, that is not it!

Hope: Then what? What are you so afraid of? You're afraid because deep down you could have feelings for Frankie?

Carrie: Hello? Hello?

Austin: Hello? This is Austin Reed. Is this the -- is anybody there?

Carrie: That's weird. No one's there.

Becky: I think you picked up the wrong line. He was on line 3.

Carrie: Hello? You're right. He's not there. I picked up line 2. So whoever it was, I must have cut him off.

Becky: Forget it. It was probably a telemarketer, anyway. Shouldn't you be at --

Carrie: At the party -- yes. My favorite duty -- handing out Christmas bonuses. If he calls back, just take a message.

Becky: Will do.

Carrie: Oh, why don't you just put it on voice mail so you can get to the party, too?

Becky: I'll be there soon. Don't you worry about me. Okay, so here we go.. Living la vida loca today, ladies and gentlemen, because it's party time. No more interruptions..

Nicole: What?

Austin: I got cut off.

Nicole: [Scoffs] Shocker. Well, that should tell you all you need to know about this mismanaged company if they can't even answer their own phones.

Austin: Well, they definitely need to work on their telecommunications.

Nicole: Austin, this company needs a thorough house cleaning, starting with the C.E.O.

Austin: Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Before we do anything, I want to sit down with this woman, talk to her, see if we can live with her.

Nicole: Live with her?! What's she's done to this company is criminal!

Austin: That's overreacting. But what I do want to know is, why don't we have a name for this C.E.O.? It's like she's got something to hide.

Nicole: Yeah, like her pathetic track record.

Austin: To hell with it. I'm gonna call again.

[Telephone rings]

Becky: Highstyle. Happy Holidays.

Austin: Yes, I called earlier. I got cut off.

Becky: Oh, sorry about that. You wanted?

Austin: To speak with your C.E.O.

Becky: Oh, okay. Well, um, she's not in right now, but I can have her call you back.

Austin: Can you do that, please, A.S.A.P.? My name is Austin Reed. Phone number -- 917--

Becky: Wait. Wait. I can't find the message pad. Uh... oh, no! Oh!

Carrie: Becky, what's wrong? Who's on the phone?

Kate: What is it?

John: E-mail from an ISA. contact. New Intel on Alex North.

Kate: And this information -- it's going to help you get Marlena back?

John: Well, he said that it's gonna make me happy. Exact words.

Kate: Hmm. Well, good. Good for you.

John: I'm gonna find out in a second. He's gonna call me, he says. This guy's a straight shooter. If he says he's got the goods on North, it's gonna be big.

Kate: Well, I hope so. I hope so for your sake because you've gotten your hopes up a number of times.

John: I got a feeling this time's gonna be different.

[Cellphone rings] Keep your fingers crossed. John Black. Agent Nash, I got your e-mail. So, what do you got for me? Please tell me it's enough to nail North to the wall 'cause I've got to get him out of my wife's life once and for all.

Frankie: I love her. And of course I want to be there for her, but it's not up to me.

Bo: Oh, come on, man. Just talk to her.

Frankie: I have talked to her. She's made it perfectly clear that she wants to do this alone. I can't force myself on her.

Bo: No, no, you shouldnít.

Frankie: Okay, good, so let's drop it.

Bo: No, no, because there's a difference between force and persuasion. If you love her as much as you say you do, you can't walk out on her. You weren't around when Hope thought she was this Princess Gina, were you?

Frankie: No. I heard about it.

Bo: So then you probably heard how she kept pushing me away. She didn't want to have anything to do with me or our family, and I could have given up -- kind of like what you're doing right now. But, no, I could not walk away from Hope.

Frankie: You and Hope -- it's different. First of all, she wasn't in her right mind.

Bo: Well, neither is Jen. She's in shock right now.

Frankie: I agree. I do, okay? But what she's asking for is -- is reasonable. If she doesn't -- if she wants to be on her own, then so be it. There's nothing I can do about it.

Bo: What about the promise you made to Jack to look out for her?

Frankie: Look, I'm straight with Jack, okay? I told him I'd do this only if Jen wanted me to. Thank you.

Bo: What about Abby and little J.J.?

Frankie: What about them?

Bo: They sure could use a father figure right about now.

Frankie: Well, Bo, it's not my call.

Bo: You could do them a world of good, especially Abby. She's at that place in her life where she could use a bit of guidance.

Frankie: She'll get it from her mother.

Bo: Oh, man. You love her mother, and you're a Brady. Just like me, love and family are the most important thing to you. And that's exactly why you can't walk away from her.

Jennifer: I'm so sorry for losing it like that. It's just -- it's been a really hard day.

Hope: I know. I know, sweetie. You've suffered such a terrible loss. And as much as Bo and I and the rest of the family really want to help, I really think Frankie could help more.

Jennifer: Hope, it doesn't -- it doesn't feel right to me.

Hope: I'm not saying date him or make a lifetime commitment.

Jennifer: God forbid. That is the last thing I want right now.

Hope: Jennifer, remember you told me the other night you saw Jack?

Jennifer: Yes, and you thought my mind was playing tricks on me.

Hope: Yes, I did. I think there's a reason you saw him.

Jennifer: What reason?

Hope: You wanted Jack to tell you to send Frankie away, but he didn't, did he?

Jennifer: What? That's ridiculous.

Hope: I'm serious. You wanted to lean on Frankie. You know that's what Jack wanted for you, too, but you were feeling guilty about it.

Jennifer: For the last time, I don't feel guilty.

Hope: I know you. I know you. I think you feel that if Frankie stays, somehow you're being unfaithful to Jack's memory, and that's why you're pushing Frankie away.

Jennifer: You know what? I don't know where you get this stuff, Hope.

Hope: Okay. Okay, I'm playing amateur psychologist, but you know what? It makes sense. Otherwise, why keep Frankie out of your life at a time when you need him most?

Jennifer: I'm not kicking him out of my life. I -- I don't know. I don't know. Maybe that is what I'm doing. I don't know what I'm doing.

Hope: Okay, then please -- please change your mind. Ask him to stay. Will you do that?

Becky: Can you hold on a second? I am having a mini-crisis here.

Carrie: Uh, is someone still on the phone?

Becky: Yeah, I'll get his message later. You, go back to the party, and you enjoy yourself.

Carrie: Okay. Hurry up, though. The guacamole's going fast.

Becky: It sure is good. Okay. Uh... I-I am sorry about that, mister. Can -- can you repeat that?

Austin: Reed -- R-E-E-D. 917-555-0173.

Becky: [Muttering] 017 -- okay, got it. Thanks for your patience. So long, mister.

Becky: Jeez. We're having a party here. There's Shirley! Hey, Shirley.

Shirley: What happened here?

Becky: Gift wrapping, a leaky pen, and a slightly tipsy secretary.

Shirley: Don't worry. I won't tell Santa.

Becky: Shirley, I would really appreciate it if you can clean this up before Carrie gets back.

Shirley: I'll do my best.

Becky: Aw, thank you, Shirley. Oh, God love ya.

[Music, indistinct conversations in distance]

Austin: Damn it. [Sighs]

Nicole: What now?

Austin: So stupid. I forgot to ask the C.E.O.'s name.

Nicole: Well, you'll know it soon enough.

Austin: She's supposed to call me back. She's at an office Christmas party.

Nicole: [Chuckles] Austin, how much do you want to bet that she won't call you back today, huh?

Austin: Will you --

Nicole: Austin, it is time to pull the trigger. You've already tried to reach her. She hasn't taken any of your calls. Come on. It is time to stop worrying about this incompetent and start worrying about Austin Reed and company. God, we need this deal, Austin. You need to move now. It is not too late for some other company to swoop in. We know that Lucas is in L..A., and he would love to get his hands on Highstyle. Are you gonna let your brother beat us again?

Austin: That is not going to happen.

Nicole: Well, it could if you don't wrap this up. And you better do it before the C.E.O. drives this promising little company into the ground. Austin, you saw Highstyle's financials -- their high payroll, their lavish benefits, perks on top of perks. God, this isn't a takeover. This is a rescue operation.

Carrie: Merry Christmas, Becky.

Becky: Carrie, are you nuts?

Carrie: You've earned every penny. I want you to know how much I appreciate your hard work.

Becky: No. It's way too generous.

Carrie: Not at all. You come in early in the morning, you stay very late, you work long hours, and you never complain.

Becky: What's to complain about, Carrie? I love my job, and I have the best boss in the world. Anyway, thank you. I got you something. It's nothing compared to this, but I hope you like it.

Carrie: I'm sure I will. I love presents. Let's see. Okay. [Gasps] The Rolling Stones! This is great! You couldn't have gotten me anything better. I mean it.

Becky: I know how much you loved going to the Rolling Stones concert with Lucas.

Carrie: Oh, yeah. I had a great time.

Becky: What an awesome date that must have been.

Carrie: It wasn't a date, Becky. I told you. We're friends. That's all. Okay?

Becky: If you say so.

Carrie: Oh, oh. Um, that message that you took earlier -- was that important?

Becky: Oh, right. It should be on my desk. Um... oh, God. I can't believe it's not here.

Carrie: Do you remember who it was?

Becky: Um, it was something like "Reese" or something like that. I -- Carrie, I think the cleaning lady threw it out. I shouldn't have had so much champagne.

Carrie: It's all right. Like I said, if it's important, he'll call back.

Becky: God, I hope so.

Carrie: Don't worry about it. Do you have plans for the holidays?

Becky: Yeah, just Christmas dinner with the folks -- family tradition. It'll be great -- for about an hour -- until my uncles and aunts start asking me when I'm gonna have a wedding.

Carrie: Oh, funny. Every Christmas, I ask myself the same thing. And every year, I say, "maybe next year."

Becky: Funny, because I think you're single by choice, and you know it.

Carrie: Oh. You think so?

Becky: Yes, I do. I think you can't decide which of the two hunky brothers you want.

Carrie: You're wrong about that.

Becky: Oh?

Carrie: I've made that decision.

John: Mm-hmm. What's her name? Dr. Lois Banks, and she knew Alex and Marlena years ago? Mm-hmm. She's on her way here? No, no. That's fine. That's fine. We'll just wait for her. Listen, Tom, if this works out, I owe you big-time. Yeah. Yeah, I'll let you know. Thanks.

Kate: Someone's coming here now?

John: This could be it. This woman knew Marlena when she was married to Alex.

Kate: Really?

John: My guy said that she's got the dirt on North.

[Knock on door]

Kate: Wow.

John: That was fast.

Kate: Very fast.

Dr. Banks: Mr. Black?

John: That's a fact. John Black. And you are Dr. Lois Banks?

Dr. Banks: I am.

John: I see. Agent Nash said to expect you. Please come on in. Nice to meet you.

Dr. Banks: Nice to meet you.

John: Yes. May I take this?

Dr. Banks: Thank you.

John: This is my very close friend Kate Roberts.

Kate: Very nice to meet you.

Dr. Banks: And you.

Kate: Could I get you something -- some coffee?

Dr. Banks: Coffee would be great.

Kate: Okay.

John: Dr. Banks, Agent Nash said that you knew my wife? Well, at least I still consider her to be my wife.

Dr. Banks: Marlena Evans?

John: Yes.

Dr. Banks: I knew Marlena very well. We were both specializing in psychiatry, so we had many of the same classes in medical school.

John: I see. And I gather that you also knew Alex North?

Dr. Banks: I did.

John: Did Agent Nash explain to you why I am so interested in North?

Dr. Banks: He told me that Marlena is suffering from amnesia again. I'm so sorry to hear that. He also told me that you and Marlena were happily married for many years and you have children and, um, a new grandchild?

John: Yeah. Yeah. Um, please have a seat and make yourself at home. Um, about Alex North -- he was recommended to me when Marlena first lost her memory. I was told that he had a lot of success with amnesia patients, so I arranged for him to take the case. And as time went on, I became -- well, let's just say -- rather uncomfortable with some of his methods, so I had him checked out. And what I found kind of alarmed me, but by that time, she had come to rely on Alex North.

Dr. Banks: That pains me a great deal that she's putting her trust in him again.

John: It -- it pains you? What do you mean by that?

Dr. Banks: As I told you, I-I knew Dr. North -- knew him well.

John: All right. How well? Go on.

Dr. Banks: Well, Alex North has a brilliant mind, but he's more suited to research than working with patients.

John: Even if that patient is someone that he loves?

Dr. Banks: Professes to love. Alex North is incapable of real love. Marlena was an obsession of his. He was relentless in his pursuit of her.

John: He's still relentless.

Dr. Banks: But after they married, that's when he showed his true colors..

Kate: In what way?

Dr. Banks: [Sighs] I-I could see that you're both concerned about Marlena, and I hate to worry you further, but...I urge you to do whatever it takes to get her away from him. Mr. Black, I have a very busy schedule. When I heard that Marlena was back with Alex, I felt compelled to come see you and tell you what I know.

Kate: Are you saying that he is a dangerous man?

Dr. Banks: Extremely. He's a classic Jekyll-and-Hyde type -- charming and caring one minute, and nasty and vicious the next.

John: Wait a minute. When you say "vicious," what do you mean?

Dr. Banks: He was an abusive husband -- a control freak and a bully. Marlena lived in fear of him.

Jennifer: I know you're right. It would be great to have Frankie here the next few weeks. He is so wonderful with Abby and Jack Jr., but I can't ask him to stay. I wish I could.

Hope: Just let him.

Jennifer: I canít. I canít.

Hope: Jen, you just said that it would make life easier.

Jennifer: But why should my life be easier right now? I just lost my husband. I'm entitled to grieve, don't you think, Hope?

Hope: Of course you are. Look, please, just remember -- Jack wanted Frankie to be here for you and for the kids.

Jennifer: Yes, and I'm sure he agreed because I know that my husband could be so persuasive and persistent.

Hope: You think Frankie's only staying out of a sense of duty?

Jennifer: No. I think he genuinely wants to stay because that's the kind of man he is.

Hope: Then why won't you let him?

Jennifer: Because I don't want someone here comforting me. I don't want Frankie or anyone else trying to cheer me up.

Hope: It's Christmas.

Jennifer: Yes, it's Christmas... and I want to spend it alone with my children... and my memories of Jack. Is that too much to ask? I have made up my mind about this. Let's drop it. Please.

Bo: Frankie, hold up.

Frankie: What?

Bo: You sure you want to do this?

Frankie: It's the only way.

Hope: Well, I guess you're here to say goodbye.

Frankie: Yeah. Bags are in the car.

Hope: I wish you weren't going.

Frankie: I'm gonna miss you.

Hope: We'll give you some time alone with Jen. We need to pick up Zach.

Bo: We're taking him to see Santa.

Frankie: Wow. Give him a big hug for me.

Bo: All right.

Hope: We will. I guess this is goodbye.

Frankie: Oh! Hey, come on. I'll be back to visit.

Hope: I still wish you'd stay, at least for the holidays.

Bo: I said the same thing to him. He wouldn't listen to me. You keep in touch.

Frankie: I will. I will. Thanks for everything.

Hope: You take care of yourself.

Frankie: Okay. I hate goodbyes.

Jennifer: Yeah. Me too.

Frankie: I even thought about going straight to the airport. And then I realized that would be the coward's way out.

Jennifer: I'm glad you didn't do that.

Frankie: Yeah. You're gonna be okay. I can see that.

Jennifer: It was so good to see you again.

Frankie: You too. And I'm sorry if I overstayed my welcome.

Jennifer: Oh, my goodness, no. We loved having you -- Jack loved it, the kids. It was great.

Frankie: I appreciate you letting my brother stay with you, and if he overstays his welcome, give him the boot.

Jennifer: No. Max is fine. He's no trouble. I hardly even know he's around. We never see him.

Frankie: Chelsea has something to do with that.

Jennifer: Yeah, a little.

Frankie: If you need anything -- anything at all...

Bo: Oh, where is he? Where is he?

Zach: There he is!

Hope: There he is.

Bo: Hey, and no line. Perfect.

Hope: Go sit on Santa's lap and tell him what you'd like.

Bo: Don't pull on his beard, okay? Go, go, go.

Santa: [Chuckles] And what's your name, young man?

Zach: Zach!

Santa: Ah. And have you been a good boy this year, Zach?

Zach: Really good.

Santa: Oh. And what do you want Santa to bring you for Christmas?

Bo: Hey, hey. This is the fun part of Christmas.

Hope: I'm just feeling a little emotional today.

Bo: Yeah, I know. Camera?

Hope: Camera. Right. Thank you for reminding me. Here. Will you hold my purse?

Bo: Mm-hmm.

Hope: Thank you.

Bo: What are you doing? Stop that.

Hope: Smile.

Bo: Cut it out. Cut it out.

Hope: Oh, gosh. These are the moments you hold onto forever.

Austin: She was supposed to call me back by now.

Nicole: Yeah, well, she hasnít. Austin, please, forget about her. Highstyle needs to be overhauled now. If you're worried about the employees, then that's all the more reason to move fast. A corporate raider could come in, break up Highstyle, sell it off in pieces. Within months, it'll be totally gone. Imagine what would happen to the employees then.

Austin: Man, I was smart to hire you. Give me the papers.

Nicole: Oh. Austin, you are doing the right thing -- for that company and for ours. Thank you. Here you go. Here you go.

Becky: What's this decision you've made?

Carrie: I need to be honest with Lucas.

Becky: I thought you were honest with him.

Carrie: I tried to be. I told him that I thought we should just be friends. But even you said -- well, it's obvious that he's interested in something more, and I don't want to hurt him because my sister's already hurt him way too much.

Becky: How is that your problem?

Carrie: Well, I like Lucas. He's a great guy. And even though he said he wasn't interested in getting involved, I think the fact that Mike and I broke up made him think that there could be something more.

Becky: And you don't feel that way about him?

Carrie: I'm going back to Salem for the holidays. I want to see Austin.

Becky: Carrie, alert the media! You just made a decision!

Carrie: I need to stop procrastinating and see if Austin and I could have a future together.

Becky: Yeah!

Austin: There. Done.

[Cork pops]

Nicole: Whoo. [Chuckles] Yay. Highstyle is finally ours.

Austin: As soon as we give this to our transfer agents and they put through the buy order, giving us controlling interest.

Nicole: Yes. A mere formality.

[Champagne pouring] Okay. To Austin Reed and company. To you and me -- the winning team -- and may our relationship flourish.

Austin: Our business relationship. Hey, you know, if we hurry, we can catch the last flight back to Salem. Christmas is family time, and I want to spend it with them.

Nicole: Christmas with family -- fine. But in the new year, I get you all to myself.

Carrie: I don't have to wait till New Year's to make my first resolution.. I still have feelings for Austin, and I'm gonna do something about it.

Becky: You go, girl -- finally.

Carrie: And since my sister is after him, I need to let him know that I'm available. There is no way that I am gonna let Sami put him through the hell she put him through before.

Becky: So it's back to Salem?

Carrie: Yes, to let Austin know exactly how I feel.

John: My God.

Dr. Banks: Alex North is a monster. He abused Marlena verbally, emotionally, and physically.

John: I got to get her away from him tonight. I knew the man was sick. I just didn't know it was this bad.

Dr. Banks: It was awful. I can't begin to describe what Marlena went through.

John: Doctor, listen. This is important. Are you -- are you prepared to testify as to what you just told us if it comes to that?

Dr. Banks: I am. I want to testify. I'm stunned that she's back with that horrible man.

John: Thank you. Thank you so much, doctor.

Dr. Banks: You're welcome.

John: I can't believe Agent Nash found you like he did. We'll talk to you again.

Dr. Banks: Bye.

John: I'm getting my wife back. How's that for a Christmas miracle?

Bo: I hope Santa has a good memory. That's quite a list the tiny man's laying on him.

Hope: Well, actually, his list is pretty short this year. I can't imagine what they're talking about.

Bo: Probably the stock market.

Hope: [Chuckles] I wish he'd look to me.

Bo: Haven't you run out of film yet?

Hope: Nope. You can never have enough photos of your kids when they're growing up.

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: They grow up so fast. Look at Chelsea and Shawn. I'm sorry. I know you'd give anything to get back those years you lost with Chelsea. Hey, how 'bout this?

Bo: Hmm?

Hope: Let's ask Chelsea if she has any photos of herself when she was little that she could share with us and Billie.

Bo: Now, that is a very good idea. I will ask her. Thanks.

Santa: [Chuckles]

Bo: All done, huh? Was that fun?

Zach: A lot of fun.

Bo: Good.

Zach: You should go sit on Santa's lap, too.

Hope: You know what, honey? I think Santa has his hands full.

Bo: And his lap.

Hope: But thank you so much for thinking of us.

Bo: Childhood -- such a magical time.

Hope: Oh, yeah. That's why we have to cherish moments like this.

Bo: Mm-hmm.

Hope: They all go by so fast.

Frankie: I respect what you're doing, even though I --

Jennifer: Please. I think... the best thing is for you to leave.

Frankie: I know. I know. I know. I'm sorry. The holidays are hard enough without me adding to it. Um, listen, I really -- I really hope that you -- you have some peace with your friends and family, and -- and I wish you and your kids nothing but the best in the new year. I mean that.

Jennifer: Okay. [Sniffles] Thank you. Thanks.

Frankie: Give me a hug.

Jennifer: [Chuckles] [Sniffles]

Frankie: I better -- I better go so I don't -- I don't miss my flight.

Jennifer: Yeah. Well... Merry Christmas, Frankie.

Frankie: Merry Christmas.

Jennifer: [Exhales raggedly]

Roman: Damn it, John. We have to find her.

John: I know exactly where he's taken her.

Belle: Christmas is a time for miracles. God, just let me know that my daughter's gonna be all right.

Shawn D.: "Glory to God in the highest. Peace on earth to men of good will."

Abby: Why did daddy have to leave us, mom?

Jennifer: He is here.
