[Monitor beeping steadily]

Kate: Philip doesn't have the right blood type to be Claire's father, but Shawn does, which means that Belle lied. She did sleep with him... which means Shawn is the baby's father.

Philip: [Humming continues]

Kate: Oh, my God. I have to find a way to keep Philip and Shawn from finding out the truth. Philip's baby and his wife -- they're so important to him. They're his family now.

Mimi: Philip? You didn't eat any of the breakfast stuff we brought you, so I got you something else. You have to eat something. You have to keep up your strength for your baby girl.

Kate: [Thinking] Of course. Who else stands to lose if the truth comes out? Mimi.

Nicole: Oh, hey, there. Uh, if you expect me to concentrate, maybe you should get dressed.

Austin: [Chuckles] Concentrate? Come on, Nicole, we're colleagues. All right, it's not a tease.

Nicole: Yeah, okay, well, I'm still a woman, and you're a man, so let's do the math.

Austin: I already have. I don't think it's a problem. So how's it looking for our takeover of Highstyle Skin Care?

Nicole: Uh, well, I've been going over their business model, and, wow, no wonder they're ripe for takeover. They've been losing money ever since they went public. So the first order of business, when we lock up the company, is fire the C.E.O.

Austin: Okay.

Sami: You know what? Attacking Highstyle would be a huge mistake for us. And if we go through with it, we could end up on the unemployment line permanently.

Lucas: I just can't remember when I've been so shocked to see somebody. Are you visiting? What are you doing in Highstyle's C.E.O.'s office?

Carrie: What are you doing in Highstyle's offices?

Jennifer: Abby, honey, there's turkey in the refrigerator. I really wish you would eat something. Oh, good. I've been waiting for you guys to get here. I'm so glad you're here. Listen, if you could get Abby to eat something, that would be great. Jack Jr.'s asleep, and I'm gonna head back to the bridge.

Bo: Jen, no, you canít.

Jennifer: I am. I have to go. What if Jack is there? Why can't I ever find my keys?

Bo: Jen, we pulled his car up out of the river.

Jennifer: They are never the last place I left them.

Bo: There wasn't any sign of him.

Jennifer: Really? Good. Thanks for the good news. Because if there was no sign of him, that means he could be alive.

Hope: Jen...

Jennifer: He could be.

Frankie: Listen, Jen, the water was near freezing, the current was strong -- too strong for a man to fight.

Jennifer: Well, it depends on what he was fighting for, don't you think? And I know my husband. He wouldn't give up, Frankie. He wouldn't quit.

Bo: I agree with you. He's strong, he's stubborn, he'd do anything to get back to you, but when you fight against mother nature, there's... Jen, I don't want to say this.

Jennifer: Then donít.

Hope: Jen, listen --

Jennifer: Don't say it. [Voice breaking] Because if you keep saying it, I might start believing it, and I'm not gonna do that. I am not gonna betray my husband. [Sniffles] I canít.

Billie: [Sniffles] Oh, these flowers. I've never seen anything so sad. How are we gonna tell her?

Patrick: I don't know. I've never had to break the news to anybody before, you know?

Jennifer: You know, I lost -- I lost faith before. Remember, I gave up on Jack, and he was out there. He was alive twice. Do you remember? I'm not gonna do that again. So unless you can prove to me that he is dead, I am not going to believe it. I am gonna fight as -- as hard as I know my husband is fighting right now. He is doing everything he can to get back to his family. And when he gets here, I am not gonna be crying. I am gonna make some tea. Would anyone like some?

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.

Philip: It means a lot you and Shawn are here for us, Meems.

Mimi: Philip, we're your friends. Of course we're here.

Philip: What a year, huh? For all of us.

Mimi: Yeah. Not the greatest.

Philip: No.

Mimi: You losing your leg and me losing Rex. But other things were good -- you and Belle, now Shawn and me, you guys having little Claire.

Philip: She's the best thing in my life. What if she doesn't make it, Meems?

Mimi: She'll be okay, Philip.

Philip: What if she isn't? [Sighs] What if we lose her? I'm sorry. This must be hard for you thinking about the baby that you lost.

Mimi: I didn't lose my baby, I made a choice. It turns out it was the wrong choice, for me, anyway. But I don't get a do-over, so I've just gotta live with it.

Philip: I'm so sorry.

Mimi: No, I'm moving on. Every day is a new chance to be happy, right?

Philip: And you and Shawn are getting closer. That's great.

Mimi: Yeah, I know. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to really believe it.

Kate: That's just what I wanted to hear.

Victor: Kate? I know that look. What are you up to now?

Frankie: Jen, no one needs anything from you right now. What you should be doing is getting some rest, okay?

Jennifer: Frankie, Jack needs me. He needs me. He's trying to get home. I need to find him.

[Door closes] Jack!

Hope: Jen, honey.

Jennifer: No, no. What? What? What did you find out? Where is Jack? I mean, did you find him swimming down river? Did he... oh, gosh. What? What?

Billie: I'm sorry, Jen. We don't have good news.

Austin: Look, Sami, Nicole has presented us with a fabulous opportunity. Why are you still so against it?

Sami: She is driving Austin's company into the ground. She has this harebrain scheme about trying to take over some company called Highstyle, and I'm telling you, it's gonna ruin Austin's company. I mean, it could really -- oh, my God. I wasn't supposed to say anything.

Sami: Austin, we've already lost one skin-care company. I think we should slow down and think things through before we go into some takeover. Two strikes? I mean, we might lose our reputation, and then we might as well hang it up.

Nicole: No, no, no, no. If you look at the research on this company, you'll see their record's a joke. It was developed by some tree hugger, so clearly no cute and fuzzy little animals were tested while making these products. But, listen, Austin, this is the best thing, okay? I mean, nearly all their profits went to the protection and conservation of the rainforest, which is wonderful, but, needless to say, they're on the brink of bankruptcy.

Sami: Wait a second. The C.E.O. sounds like an idiot. I mean, who would give away all their money before making sure that their company is financially secure? [Sighs]

Carrie: Lucas, it's so good to see you.

Lucas: It's great to see you.

Carrie: Hug!

Lucas: Yeah, sure.

Carrie: Major hug, wow.

Lucas: Yeah, "wow" is right. Does this mean you're permanently back in the U.S.?

Carrie: Yeah.

Lucas: Wow. I'm overwhelmed. This is out of the blue. I'm shocked. So you're working at Highstyle? That's a big coincidence.

Carrie: Actually, I'm the new C.E.O. I just started.

Lucas: Wow. That's great. Uh, I'm getting a little light-headed. Maybe I need to sit down here.

Carrie: Is it that shocking?

Lucas: A little, yeah. A little bit. I'm just trying to process all the info here. Um, where's Mike? He didn't even tell me you guys were coming back to Salem. He's my own half-brother, and I can't remember the last time I spoke to him.

Carrie: Things with mike and me are pretty complicated. Um, could we talk about something else right now?

Lucas: Well, yeah, yeah. It's me, Carrie. I mean, if there's a problem, maybe I can do something to help.

Carrie: Yeah, it's a little too late for anyone to help. [Chuckles] I knew this was gonna be hard. Damn. Mike and I are -- are through.

Victor: You're plotting someone's destruction. I can see it in your eyes..

Kate: God, Victor, I'm worried about the baby. If Philip loses that beautiful little girl --

Victor: Don't talk that way. Of course he's not gonna lose her. Salem University Hospital is world-class. It ought to be after all the money the Kiriakis Foundation has poured into this place.

Kate: I know this is very difficult for you to understand, but money doesn't solve all problems, Victor.

Victor: I choose to have the faith that she is going to be all right. If you can't have the same positive attitude, do us all a favor -- stay away from Philip and Belle. They don't need your negative energy right now.

Philip: Thanks, Meems. I don't think I could eat anything right now, though. [Inhales deeply] You know, I was held prisoner. I was beaten, I was starved, and I thought I was going to die. It seemed like that was as bad as it could possibly get for me. [Sniffles] But this little girl getting sick...this is the worst thing that's ever happened in my life. And I would do anything -- I would do absolutely anything if she would just get better. I just want my family to be okay -- Claire and Belle, my two girls. You hear me, honey? I don't know what I'm gonna do if anything happens to you. But I'll tell you one thing... I'm not gonna want to live anymore.

Jennifer: What are these?

Billie: Patrick and I found them floating in the water... near where Jack's car was found.

Jennifer: He got my favorite color.

Billie: And we drove 50 miles down river from the accident site.

Jennifer: Okay, so where's Jack? I mean, do the police have him? Is he in an ambulance? Where is he?

Patrick: We checked with the harbor patrol and all of the hospitals. No one fitting Jack's description was brought in.

Billie: And there were no police reports of anyone fitting Jack's description being pulled from the river.

Jennifer: No. [Sniffles] No, he's not dead. I'm telling you, he is not dead. Just because they didn't find his body, it doesn't mean --

Bo: Jen, that's true. But from a police standpoint --

Jennifer: I don't care about the police standpoint! I don't care about the harbor patrol, I don't care about the police standpoint, I don't care what my friends say, none of you! I am his wife. And unless you can show me his lifeless body, my husband is alive! Do you hear me? All of you! He is not dead!

Sami: So, do you have any of the Highstyle Skin-Care Products lying around? I mean, some samples I can check out or anything?

Nicole: Yes, the whole line is sitting in the box right there on the floor. Just try it out. I sprayed and slathered myself earlier. It's really fabulous.

Sami: [Inhales deeply] Ew.

Nicole: Ugh.

Sami: Well, you know... fresh scents are in right now, Nicole. Nobody likes anything heavy.

[Inhales deeply, coughs] Okay, this is not gonna work, Nicole. This is a huge mistake.

Nicole: No, it's not. Ooh. Austin, are you going somewhere?

Austin: I'm gonna have a drink with a potential investor.

Nicole: Oh, is she blond?

Austin: [Chuckles] I have enough blondes in my life, thank you very much.

Sami: Austin, are you going on a date?

Austin: Mickey set up a meeting with me with a potential investor. You know, we could really use that right now -- someone to buy into our company. Look, I won't be gone long, so please, you two play nice.

Nicole: Okay, I'll rework the "break even" analysis.

Austin: Great. Oh, um...please, read up on the skin-care line. I'll quiz you later.

Sami: What do you mean, you'll quiz me later?

Austin: Don't take it like that. It's not that big of a deal, but you've been out of the business world for quite some time, and answering phones at the hospital and being a glorified gopher for John and my mother at Basic Black is not exactly great preparation for what we're doing here.

Sami: Yeah, and I wasn't exactly glorified, either.

Austin: Well, whatever, just study the stats. Quiz you later. Wish me luck.

Nicole: Good luck.

Sami: Good luck.

Nicole: Hmm.

Sami: "Oh, I'll rework everything for you later."

Nicole: Hey, I'm a businesswoman. You're a wannabe. You're lucky Austin's giving you a chance.

Sami: Hmm. Yes, our company does not believe in animal testing, but we have no moral qualms about testing our chemicals on slutty murderesses.

Nicole: [Whimpers] Please don't test your products on me. I'll do anything. Just please donít.

Sami: So, you promise to quit Austin's company and stay out of my way?

Nicole: [Growls] Not on your life. I lost Brady because you wouldn't help me. I'm going after Austin all for myself.

Sami: Well, then, I'll just have to continue with the research experiment. I can't wait to find out what this chemical does to the skin.

Nicole: [Gasps] Ooh.

Sami: I think this is gonna make what you did to Chloe look like a beauty treatment, Nicole.

Nicole: [Gasps] No! [Screaming] I'm melting!

Sami: Eureka. I have found the right formula at last.

Sami: [Laughs]

Nicole: What's so damn funny?

Sami: [Clears throat] Nothing. Nothing, I just am getting excited about this company, that's all.

[Clears throat] [Chuckles]

Lucas: So you and Mike broke up? I just can't believe that. What, did you guys get separated or something?

Carrie: We won't be getting back together.

Lucas: Everybody thought you guys were the perfect couple.

Carrie: Well, not quite everyone.

Lucas: Yeah, well, I mean, not Austin, of course. I mean, the way you were willing to break up your marriage with him and run off with Mike to Israel.

Carrie: I know, and I thought it was gonna last forever, too, but things didn't work out the way I thought they would.

Lucas: Yeah, who do they work out for?

Carrie: Maybe people who aren't so impulsive. People who don't hurt someone else while trying to find happiness?

Lucas: What, you don't think God's trying to punish you in some weird way, do you?

Carrie: I just don't think I had enough respect for myself... for Austin, for Mike, either. And because so many lives got messed up so I could go ride off on a white horse with Mike, literally, it put a lot of pressure on me to have this perfect relationship.

Lucas: Nobody has that.

Carrie: I was so naive. I went to the other side of the world with a doctor who is intensely committed to his work, and then I was surprised when I ended up feeling lonely and isolated. One night, we finally went to dinner, and we looked at each other and we said, "you know what? This isn't working." So we called it quits.

Lucas: That's it? It was just "bam," and it was over?

Carrie: We both knew it was time to move on.

Lucas: I'm sorry, okay, Carrie? I'm really sorry about that.

Carrie: We're still friends. I know that's a clichť, but it's true for us. We e-mail all the time. And one good thing -- Mike has more time to spend with his son. I mean, Jeremy was the whole point behind the move to Israel in the first place. [Sighs] So...that's how the fairy tale crumbles.

Lucas: Tell me about it.

Carrie: I heard about you and Sami.

Lucas: Yeah, I know. Don't say it. I know what you're gonna say. It was me. It was my fault. I was stupid enough to think that Sami had changed.

Carrie: You loved her, Lucas. She was the stupid one.

Kate: Hey, sweetheart.

Philip: Hey.

Kate: I brought you a special visitor -- you and the baby.

Philip: Hi, dad.

Victor: Hello, son. How's my loveliest granddaughter?

Philip: She's hanging in there, I guess.

Victor: That's because of her Greek heritage. She comes from a long line of warriors.

Philip: Yeah.

Kate: Hey, Mimi, why don't we give them some privacy?

Mimi: Okay.

Philip: The doctors are treating her pretty aggressively, so, you know, I'm trying to stay hopeful.

Victor: How's Belle holding up?

Philip: She was getting better. It seemed like she was starting to feel happier, but, dad, this postpartum depression has been really hard, really, on all three of us. And now I'm worried if something happens to the baby, that...I don't know.

Victor: You know, we almost lost you several times before you were born.

Philip: Mom never told me that.

Victor: It was terrifying, but each time, you came back stronger. I like to think it's because of the love that you felt from your natural parents. You know, Kate and I may have our differences now, but we both love you very much. And maybe it's because the fact that we almost lost you... just as you and Belle will treasure this little life that you've created.

Kate: Life has been such a roller coaster recently that I never really had a chance to tell you how sorry I was about you and Rex.

Mimi: Really? I always thought you thought I wasn't good enough for him.

Kate: Oh, come on, Mimi. Mothers are always protective of their sons. I mean, you'll find that out someday if you have a son.

Mimi: I can't have children, Kate, but you know what? It was swell talking to you.

Kate: Hey, hey, hey. Wait a minute, wait a minute. I'm sorry. You know, I totally forgot about your situation. I've been so wrapped up in this whole thing with the baby. Would you forgive me?

Mimi: Whatever.

Kate: Can I tell you something?

Mimi: I'm sure you will anyway, so go ahead.

Kate: Look, I -- I think the reason for your breakup with Rex...I think it really went beyond the abortion. I think it was deeper than that. I don't think that Rex was your soul mate... not the way that Shawn is. I've watched the two of you together, and it's pretty clear to me. You and Shawn were meant to be together.

Jennifer: Listen to me. Jack's body was not -- it wasn't found in the car, all right? You sent down the robotic arm. You had divers go down there. Bo, you went down there. Billie and Patrick didn't find him downstream. He's nowhere. People don't disappear like that.

[Cellphone rings]

Hope: Excuse me.

Jennifer: They don't disappear, and when they do, they come back. Jack always comes back.

Hope: Hello. All right, um... just give me a minute, okay, and I'll call you right back. I'll see what I can do. Okay, thanks. The babysitter has to leave.

Bo: I didn't realize it was so late.

Hope: No, neither did I. Maybe she can spend the night. I mean, Zach's already asleep.

Jennifer: No, Hope, no. Listen, you guys go home. You're probably exhausted. I'm fine. I'll see if Frankie will stay here with me till Jack gets back.

Bo: Okay.

Jennifer: Thank you.

Hope: Hey, sweetie.

Jennifer: Bye. Thank you.

Hope: I'll give you a call first thing in the morning, okay?

Jennifer: Okay. Here, I'll walk you out. Come on.

Patrick: It's tearing me up knowing what Jen's gonna go through when she accepts the truth.

Billie: Maybe it's not the truth. Maybe Jennifer's right -- Jack's not dead.

Patrick: Thereís no way he got out of that car alive, Billie.

Billie: Listen, I have never told anyone else this.

Patrick: What? What?

Billie: But Jack wanted to kill himself to save Jennifer and Abby the pain of dying a slow, agonizing death.

Patrick: Wait, I don't get it. Are you telling me that Jack would just leave Jennifer -- leave his whole family -- when he knew he had more time with them? I don't care how much pain he was in. Jennifer's the kind of woman that would want to be there for her husband.

Billie: All I can tell you is that Jack -- Jack could have staged this. He could have staged the whole accident just so that he could disappear.

Jennifer: What are you talking about?

Nicole: Barry, thanks for getting back to me so soon. You're a doll. Can you hang on just a second? Okay. Sami, I need the financial projections. They're in my room.

Sami: Ugh, Nicole, I am studying the dossier. I have a quiz, remember?

Nicole: I am on the phone with our accountant. Get me the projections.

Sami: Nicole, I am not your secretary. You have legs. Get them yourself.

Nicole: Barry [Clears throat] Will you just hang on a second? I have the file.

[Telephone rings]

Sami: Oh. Austin, hey, got good news?

Austin: I'm working on it. Look, I left my filofax at the apartment, and I really need it.

Sami: Oh, when are you gonna get into the information highway and get a PDA?

Austin: Yeah, well, I like to feel pen on paper.

Sami: [Chuckles] That's cute. You're old-fashioned.

Austin: I guess I am. Look, I really need the address. Can you get it for me?

Sami: Oh, yes, the address for your hot date?

Austin: No, not my hot date, the investor I'm meeting. Look, come on, Sami, I don't want to be late. Just go to today's date.

Sami: All right, oh, you have it under all your stuff here. [Sighs] All right. Oh, okay, 653 Warren Street, The Penthouse Suite. Okay, good luck.

[Telephone beeps off] Whoa! Oh! Oh, man. Oh, my God. No way. No freakin' way.

Carrie: How many weddings does that make for Sami?

Lucas: Uh, I think just one. She was married to Brandon for about an hour, and then he dumped her. But I can't count how many times she was left at the altar.

Carrie: I can't feel sorry for her.

Lucas: Well, no one would expect you to.

Carrie: We're sisters. I should have some sort of warm feelings towards her, but what's that they say? Too much blood under the bridge.

Lucas: Yeah, too much blood -- for you and me both.

Carrie: And I'm not sorry for you, either, Lucas. I know you probably thought true love would turn Sami into a good woman, but --

Lucas: Hey, you know what? Maybe I don't deserve a good woman after everything I've pulled in my life.

Carrie: I'm no saint, either, but most normal people learn from their mistakes... everyone but Sami. I'm glad you realized how selfish and manipulative she can be before you said, "I do."

Lucas: Hmm.

Carrie: How's Will taking it?

Lucas: [Sighs] Not so good at first. You know, the poor kid's parents never lived together, and half the time, we don't even talk, so for him, it's not an ideal situation for growing up, but what are you gonna do? Nobody's life is perfect.

Carrie: I thought mine was. But I guess after what I did to Austin, I deserve what happened.

Lucas: Wait a minute, that wasn't your fault.

Carrie: I feel like a failure.

Lucas: Is that why it's taken you so long to come back home?

Carrie: That and...

Lucas: Well, yeah, Sami, of course. Right.

Carrie: I just can't deal with all that drama again. Anyhow, it's been so great catching up with you. I forgot to ask you what you're doing here anyway.

Lucas: Right. I'm, uh, I'm actually working for Titan again. I'm working with Victor.

Carrie: Oh, cool.

Lucas: Yeah, and I just can't believe, with all the research I did on this company, I didn't realize you were the C.E.O.

Carrie: And you're doing research because...

Lucas: Uh, we're actually looking at this company as a -- as a possible buyout.

Carrie: Buyout? As in takeover? [Chuckles] Sorry, Lucas, um, I like you and all, but my company is not for sale.

Lucas: The companies Titan goes after usually arenít.

Carrie: Tell Victor not to even think about it. This company is my baby. And I'm here because I believe in the product line, and I intend to not let anyone take it over -- not Victor and not you, either, Lucas.

Lucas: I totally understand. That's fine. I'll just, uh -- I'll explain it to Victor. I'll tell him that the company isn't as ripe for takeover as we originally thought.

Carrie: Thank you.

Lucas: Yeah. I would never hurt you.'ve always meant a lot to me...ever since I can remember.

Carrie: So I heard your brother's back in Salem.

Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, well, which brother's that? I got a lot of those.

Carrie: You know which one I mean. Austin -- how is he?

Hope: [Smooches] Mommy doesn't want you to catch a cold, sweetheart.

Bo: He looks so cute there, sleeping with Mr. Bear.

Hope: He never goes to sleep without it.

Bo: I'm luckier than I have a right to be. I've got an amazing wife and beautiful kids.

Mimi: Okay, let me try and understand you, Kate. Up till now, I have never heard you say a good word about Shawn. You tried to put him in jail. You did put him in jail. You acted like he was the devil's spawn, and now, all of a sudden, he's my soul mate? What does that make me?

Kate: Mimi, you're taking this completely wrong. Yes, yes, I did have a problem with Shawn's temper. I did, and I think all of the things that he did leading up to Belle and Philip's wedding, well, it made him look like a very unstable young man. He nearly killed people when he crashed his motorcycle into that church, Mimi.

Mimi: Okay, I'll give you that. He was a little messed up back then, but it wasn't his fault.

Kate: Well, I'm no longer interested in the details. As long as Belle and Philip are together and they're looking forward to the future with their baby, then I'm willing to let bygones be bygones.

Mimi: I'm very happy with Shawn if that's what you're fishing for, Kate.

Kate: Mimi, I'm not fishing for anything, but I know that Rex broke your heart, and I think that maybe Shawn is the one who could mend it. I know it would make me feel better if I thought you could get things together, if you could make it work.

Mimi: You mean with Shawn?

Kate: You're in love with him, aren't you?

Mimi: Uh, we're moving much faster than I anticipated, but neither one of us is ready for anything serious yet.

Kate: Mimi, if you want him, then I wouldn't let time go by. I think I hear wedding bells, and I think if you listen to your heart, you'll hear them, as well.

Philip: Thanks for coming by, dad.

Victor: Well, you and your new family are never far from my thoughts. You know, if you need my help for any reason, all you have to do is call.

Philip: I will.

Victor: I have to check in with Lucas. You stay strong.

Philip: Thanks, dad. [Sighs] Did you hear that? Did you hear what your grandfather said?

[Greek accent] He said you're a Kiriakis. Long line of ancient warriors. [ Normal voice] You're not gonna lose this battle, honey. Your mommy and your daddy love you so much.

Kate: [Thinking] You're going to raise that beautiful little baby as your own, Philip, without any interference from Shawn. I'll see to it.

Nicole: Okay, Sami, I'm gonna go down and meet with Barry.

Sami: What?

Nicole: Barry, the accountant? The man who keeps us in the black? Ugh. Never mind, it's like talking to a wind-up doll. Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone.

Sami: Oh, my God. It's Carrie. He has loved Carrie this whole time even though she broke his heart. I mean, she trashed his marriage, she cheated on him, she ran off with another man! I swear to God, if I catch her anywhere near Austin... damn it, Carrie. I hate you.

Lucas: [Chuckles] Let's see, Austin? Yeah, Austin's back in Salem, too.. He's got a new start-up company. I don't really think it's gonna go very far, personally, but if you ask me, I think he's got a lame staff.

Carrie: What about personally? Did he ever, um...

Lucas: Tie the knot? No, no, Austin's a... he's a lone cowboy, that one. Maybe that'll change if Sami has her way.

Carrie: Sami?

Lucas: Oh, yeah, she's part of that lame staff I referred to just now. They spend a lot of time together -- those two. Well, you know what, I actually should be going. I've taken up a lot of your time.

Carrie: Don't run off. It's been so nice being with you again, Lucas.

Lucas: Well, likewise.

Carrie: And I'd love to spend some more time catching up.

Lucas: Likewise.

Carrie: Oh, and, um, do me a favor. Don't tell anyone that you ran into me, especially Austin.

Lucas: Oh, yeah. My lips are sealed.

Hope: It's just so unfair. Why does Jennifer have to go through this? She and Jack have made it through so much and ended up stronger than ever. Now it's just all wiped away. A car goes over a bridge, and that's it? It's over just like that? I know Jack was sick. But at least with an illness, you have a chance to say goodbye.

Bo: Well, God has a plan.

Hope: God has a plan. Or Jack had a plan. Brady, if you know something, you'd better tell me right now.

Frankie: I put on a pot of coffee.

Jennifer: The two of you think that my husband faked his death? What are you talking about? Why would he do that? My husband -- he loves me more than he loves his own life. He would never abandon me and our children unless God was ready to take him.

Billie: I know. I know, Jen, but a part of him was so worried about you and Abby having to watch him die. He just -- he talked to me about it once, that's all.

Jennifer: Talked about what?

Billie: Nothing. Nothing. Forget I said anything.

Jennifer: Billie, what did you and Jack talk about that I don't know about?

Billie: Jen, come on.

Jennifer: No, she's not leaving until she tells me. What did the two of you talk about?

Billie: He was looking for ways to end his life...

Jennifer: What?!

Billie: ...Before the really bad part of the illness kicked in. He didn't want you to see him in agony. He was doing it to protect you.

Jennifer: Protect me? I'm his wife! I -- I don't even believe you. If this was on Jack's mind, why wouldn't he tell me?

Billie: He said he couldnít.

Jennifer: Why? Why not, Billie?

Billie: Because... you were the only person who could talk him out of it..

Jennifer: Why didn't you tell me this?

Billie: Jack made me promise not to. He made me. Hell, he wanted me to help him do it, and I said I wouldn't, okay? There have to be limits, and that was mine. But a part of me understands what he was going through. I worked with a guy at the ISA who came down with the exact same disorder that Jack had -- has. And in the end, it was extremely hard for his family to watch him go through it.

Jennifer: You want to know what I think? I think this is just utterly the most unreal story I have ever heard in my life. My husband would never abandon me or our children. He would hang in there till the end, Billie! I'm his wife, and I know that. And I'm gonna say it again unless you show me his dead body! As far as I'm concerned, as far as my family is concerned, he is alive!

Kate: I admit it. I do have an ulterior motive, and it's about Belle and Philip and the baby.

Hope: That child could have been our grandchild if Belle had married him..

Philip: This little girl is our gift from God, and the three of us were meant to be a family. Nothing is going to change that.

Jennifer: Could be your dad. He's home.
