Belle: Philip, are you ready?

Philip: I'll be right down.

Belle: Okay. You know, being matron of honor at two weddings two days in a row must be some kind of record. It's kind of exhausting. Or it could be the pregnancy but whatever. I promise I won't faint at Sami and Lucas' today like I did yesterday. [Clears throat] That was so embarrassing. And Sami wouldn't be anywhere near as understanding as Brady and Chloe were. To think about it, I really can't believe Sami asked me to be her matron of honor in the first place.

[Footsteps] I mean, after everything... Philip...

Philip: Don't I look okay?

Belle: You look incredible, but you're not using your cane.

Philip: Doctors were right, honey. This new prosthesis is amazing. I can walk. I can do stairs. I bet I could even dance. Should we find out?

Belle: No, Philip, donít.

Mimi: Shawn, hurry up.

Shawn D.: I'm almost ready.

Mimi: We can't be late.

Shawn D.: I overslept. I didn't hear my alarm go off. Hey, how late were we up watching that movie, anyway?

Oh, boy, it's so big.

Mimi: I don't remember this in "Jurassic Park."

Shawn D.: No, I think one of us hit the remote. Are we sitting on it?

Mimi: I think you hit the remote.

Shawn D.: I didn't hit the...

Mimi: Wasn't me.

John: You're choosing him over your family?

Marlena: I'm forced to. You tell me how much you love me, and yet you throw my doctor out of our home.

John: You don't need him, Doc.

Marlena: I do need him -- more than I need you or Roman or anybody else. So if Dr. North goes, so do I.

John: No, you can't do that.

Marlena: Then you have to tell him he may stay. And you may tell him... you want him to stay.

John: Oh, come on, Marlena.

Marlena: And apologize for how badly you've behaved towards him.

Will: Dad, why did we have to get here so early?

Lucas: Sorry about that, bud. I just wanted to make sure everything was perfect before the wedding, you know?

Will: You mean you wanted to make sure mom didn't do anything to screw it up this time, right?

Lucas: [Clears throat]

Sami: Brady and Chloe got married yesterday, and Lucas and I are getting married today. Wouldn't it be awesome if the next wedding was you and mom?

Roman: Sami, we talked about this. Your mother is married to John.

Sami: I know that, but when she gets her memory back, maybe everything will be different.

Caroline: Sami, you shouldn't fill your head with that. Now, today all you should be thinking about is marrying the man you love.

Sami: It's really gonna happen, isn't it, grandma? It's finally happening.

Caroline: Not if you don't finish your hair and your makeup and get into that dress.

Sami: You're right! Why didn't you say so in the first place? Let's get going.

Roman: I think that's my cue to get out of here. Ma, thank you so much for helping out. You know, Marlena -- if she weren't sick, would be doing all this.

Caroline: My pleasure.

Roman: I'll see you out there.

Sami: Okay. Hey, um, dad... do you think there's any chance that mom would want to walk me down the aisle with you?

Roman: Honey, I wouldn't get my hopes up, but I promise you this -- I will do the very best I can.

Sami: I love you, daddy.

Roman: I love you, too. Okay. Get ready.

Sami: [Laughing] Okay.

Caroline: Come on, young lady, come on.

Lexie: Roman, how's the bride doing?

Roman: Oh, Lexie, I have never seen Sami more excited. She has really turned her life around, and I am very, very proud of her.

Lexie: Well, it shows.

Roman: Where's Abe?

Lexie: He went inside to sit down.

Kate: Your about to ruin your life. Oh, no, no, no! I'm not gonna think that way. I have to stay positive. Maybe Sami will do something that will make him realize that he's making a huge mistake. And if she does, Billie promised that she would call and tell me.

[Knock on door]

Kate: Who the hell is that? Oh, my God. Nicole, I am not in the mood for visitors, and if I were, you would be the last person I'd want to see because I still hate you.

Nicole: Great. I hate you, too.

Kate: Good. We have that settled.

Nicole: Kate, we both hate Sami more than we hate each other.

Kate: Well, that's true.

Nicole: That bitch could have helped me stop Brady from marrying Chloe yesterday. She could have helped me show Chloe the love letters he wrote me. And once she read what he said, that marriage would have been over before it started. But she just laughed at me.. And when I tried to do it on my own, Victor locked me in the bride's room. And then his goon manhandled me, and now I've lost Brady forever.

Kate: And you're telling me this because...

Nicole: Because I want revenge. I don't care if it doesn't get Brady back. I want to squash Sami's dreams of marrying Lucas and living happily ever after once and for all.

Kate: Maybe we do have common ground to discuss.

Nicole: You bet we do.

Kate: But don't be mistaken. Just because I've called a temporary truce does not mean that this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.

Nicole: To Sami's destruction!

Kate: Cheers.

Nicole: You know, what is it with Sami and your sons?

Kate: That's a really good question.

Nicole: I thought Lucas was smarter than that.

Kate: Yeah, well, so did I.

Nicole: At least Austin saw her for what she really is.

[Cellphone rings]

Kate: Oh. That could be Billie. Billie, hey. Did anything happen?

Austin: No, mom, it's not Billie. It's Austin. Look, my flight was delayed. I'm on my way. I'm gonna be a little late.

Kate: Ohhh.

Sami: Grandma, are Will and Lucas here yet?

Caroline: Well, they weren't when I arrived.

Sami: What about Belle?

Caroline: Please do sit still. I don't know. Just relax.

Sami: I can't relax, grandma. I mean, I've been here for hours. Where is everybody? I mean, what could possibly be taking them so long?

Caroline: Maybe they didn't feel the need to be in church three hours before the wedding.

Sami: I couldn't help it. I was nervous. What if my car broke down on the way here? What if there was an accident on the highway?

Caroline: Well, there could be an earthquake or a tornado or some other natural disaster.

Sami: What are you saying? Are you saying that no matter how careful I am, any wedding I'm in is gonna be doomed?

Bart: Come on. Clock's ticking, and there's no bomb attached to it yet. Come on. [Telephone rings] Yeah. Cat's in the bag, and the bag's in the river. Yes, it's me. Did you get it? Perfect! Listen, man, the Count is counting on us. And I'll tell you something -- he may be laid up in that prison, but I don't even want to think about what's gonna happen to us if we screw this up. Good. Don't think. Just get over here on the double. Ticktock, ticktock, ticktock, ticktock, ticktock.

Philip: Relax, honey. I'm not gonna try anything too strenuous just yet. But I do think I'll be able to manage a slow dance at the reception.

Belle: We'll see about that.

Philip: Heather Mills McCartney was right, you know. I didn't believe it at the time, but this new prosthesis is pretty amazing. I'm gonna be able to do all the things I used to do. I met a guy at the hospital, a guy like me, who was training for the New York Marathon.

Belle: Really? That's incredible.

Philip: I had no idea how many people there were like me. [Sighs] And as difficult as the physical and emotional recovery has been, I'm one of the lucky ones. You have no idea how many civilians there are in other countries who've lost limbs to mines. They don't get a prosthesis like this. They're lucky if they can find a stick to use as a crutch. Do you remember how we talked about sponsoring a concert for adopt-a-minefield?

Belle: Yeah, of course.

Philip: I want to do that. I believe in this. I want those mines cleared.. I want other countries to stop using them. And more than anything, I want to make sure that no one else ends up like me.

Belle: We will. We will, I promise. We're gonna do everything we can.

Philip: You know something I've never told you is after that mine exploded and I was lying on the ground, looking up at the sky, the last thing I can remember is asking God to just give me one more chance to tell you I love you. And here I am. As hard as this has been, I am so blessed, not only to be alive, but to have you. [Chuckles] And to have our baby. I want this baby to come into a better world, into a safer world. And the rest of our kids, too.

Belle: We better finish getting ready. If the best man and the matron of honor are late to this wedding, Sami's gonna have a cow.

Philip: Hey. I love you very much.

Belle: I love you, too.

Ohh! Oh!

Shawn D.: All right, all right. We were looking for the remote. Are we looking for the remote?

Mimi: Yeah.

Shawn D.: Where...

Mimi: Oh, here.

Shawn D.: Yeah. Gosh, that is unbeliev--

Mimi: Just change it.

Shawn D.: Okay, yeah. What? It's over? What -- how -- the movie ended so fast.

Mimi: Well, hold on. Hey, look, it's on again in 30 minutes. We can watch it then.

Shawn D.: Are you sure?

Mimi: Yeah. I don't feel like sleeping. I'm positive. Yeah.

Shawn D.: All right. You're awesome. You're just, like, the best friend one could have.

[Both laugh]

Mimi: Okay.

Shawn D.: That has got to be a record for showering, shaving, and getting into one of these things.

Mimi: You look hot.

Shawn D.: So do you.

Mimi: This old thing?

Shawn D.: I'm serious.

Mimi: Thank you.

Shawn D.: Actually, I have to ask you a favor. How good are you with ties?

Mimi: Come here. I'll try.

Shawn D.: Okay.

John: You can stay.

Alex: Thank you.

John: And I'm sorry if I've treated you badly.

Alex: Apology accepted. It has been my experience that as bad as amnesia is on the patient, it can even be worse on the family.

John: Yeah. I just can't believe how differently Marlena's acting this morning. Last night, you were on the verge of a breakthrough, but now... if I didn't know any better, I'd swear you did something to her when she was sleeping.

Alex: Well, we both know that's impossible since you kept me virtually a prisoner in my own room.

Marlena: What are you talking about?

Alex: Are you going to tell her, or should I?

John: I installed monitoring devices to alert me if Dr. North left his room or anybody entered yours.

Marlena: You were trying to keep my doctor away from me. What if I needed him?

John: I don't think you need him half as much as he wants you to believe that you do.

Alex: You need Alex, don't you, Marlena?

Marlena: I need Alex.

Alex: Alex will always be there to help you. Alex will always be there to protect you.

Marlena: I need him. He will always help me. He will always protect me.

John: Marlena --

Marlena: And if you can't get that, he and I will move out of here right now.

John: It's out of the question. You're not moving anywhere.

Alex: Well [Clears throat] If that's settled, then -- no one's moving -- I think it's time that we got to the church. Shall we? We certainly don't want to be late for your daughter's wedding.

[Door opens]

Roman: Lucas, I know that I have been a little tough on you.

Lucas: Yeah, that's all right. I deserve it.

Roman: I want you to know this, though. I think you are the best thing that ever happened to my daughter. You've got her to straighten her life up, and I could never do that. So I'm saying to you, thank you.

Kate: Well, just how late are you going to be?

Austin: Well, I'll put it this way. When we land, I'm going straight to the church.

Kate: Austin... look, are you sure you don't want to reconsider going to the wedding?

Austin: Mom, look, I'm already on the plane. Regardless of how I feel about Sami, I think I should be there for Lucas.

Kate: Okay, fine. But the flight was delayed. Maybe that's, I don't know, God's way of telling you, you shouldn't be going.

Austin: Well, it's too late. I'll see you when I get there.

Kate: Austin, but --

Austin: Love you, mom.

Kate: I love you, too, baby.

Nicole: Austin, huh? He's a hell of a guy.

Kate: Don't go there, Nicole.

Nicole: I'm just saying I wish we met under different circumstances.

Nicole: Are you sure about this?

Austin: Sure as I can be, looking at your beautiful face. Yeah.

Nicole: Then I have to let you go.

Nicole: Yeah, he's something.

Kate: He's off-limits.

Nicole: It's just that the timing was off for both of us, you know. He had to go to New York. I had to stay here and run Titan, or so I thought. Man, if I had the guts to just chuck it all and go with him. Maybe now that's he's coming back --

Kate: What are you doing? Are you trying to torture me?

Nicole: No. No, of course not. I'm not.

Kate: Sami with Lucas, Austin with you -- God, take me now.

Nicole: Cut the drama, Kate. I was just thinking. It was another time, another place, okay? I'm just happy that he managed to escape from Sami's clutches.

Kate: Yeah, well, I wish Lucas could have been as lucky. I mean, damn it, Nicole. Why didn't you just tell me what you had on Sami while there was still a chance of stopping the wedding?

Nicole: Because she promised to help me get Brady back if I kept my mouth shut.

Kate: Oh, really? And you believed that?

Nicole: Well, you didn't exactly offer me anything fantastic, either. Look, Kate, do you want to know what Sami was so desperate to keep secret?

Kate: No, because what good would it do now? It's too late to stop the wedding, Nicole.

Nicole: It's really juicy.

Kate: [Laughs] Okay. Okay, fine. Torture me some more. Tell me.

Nicole: Sami was Stan.

Philip: Hey. I thought we were the only ones running late.

Mimi: Well, we stayed up till early this morning watching a movie, and Shawn overslept.

Philip: Really? Well, let's all go together, then, huh?

Shawn D.: Sure. Great idea.

Mimi: We can take my car. It's fixed now. But you have to drive.

Shawn D.: That's no problem. I have your keys.

Philip: Let me get the elevator.

Mimi: Philip, you are walking without a cane or anything!

Philip: Wonders of modern science, Meems. True test of this baby, though, will come at the reception when I dance with my wife.

Will: Mom! The guests are starting to arrive, mom.

Sami: Will, is your father there?

Will: Yeah, do you want him?

Sami: No, no, no, no! Will, I'm closing the door!

Will: What's wrong?

Sami: Because it's bad luck for him to see me before I walk down the aisle.

Lucas: I left my x-ray-vision glasses at home. Come on, baby.

Sami: Go away.

Lucas: I love you, all right. I love you, and I can't wait to marry you, you firecracker, you.

Sami: I love you, too, Lucas. Now get out of here!

Lucas: All right, all right. We're out. We're leaving. Come on, let's go..

Sami: Grandma, it's gonna work out, isn't it? Everything is gonna be perfect.

Caroline: How could it not be, darling?

Sami: Well, I guess 'cause already I'm messing up my makeup with these tears.

Caroline: You look just beautiful.

Sami: Thank you. [Sighs] Will you hand me the mirror? I got to fix this. Thank you.

[Mirror shatters] Oh! Oh, my God! Seven years bad luck... starting right now.

Bart: Ticktock, ticktock. This is not good. Time is wasting.

[Knock on door] Yeah. Eccellente. Now all I got to do is get this to the church in time.

Roman: Oh, Marlena, you're here.

Marlena: Yes, well, Sami is my daughter, isn't she?

Roman: Well, yes, she is.

Marlena: And she's getting married today, isn't she?

Roman: Yes. I'm just glad to see you, though. You look absolutely beautiful.

Marlena: Oh. Thank you.

Roman: Listen, I...I know that you and Sami talked about this the other day and you said no, but believe me, it would mean so much to Sami if you would walk her down the aisle with me. Now, she has been dreaming about this since she was a little girl, and I understand that you don't remember this, but this wedding has been a long time coming, and I want to make it perfect in every way. So what do you say?

John: Come on, Marlena. This is your life. You don't need to look to him for every decision.

Marlena: No, I donít. But I do care about his opinion. And as you said, it's my life. I'd be glad to walk down the aisle with you and Sami.

Roman: Terrific. How about we go tell her?

Alex: Sounds like a splendid idea.

Marlena: All right.

Roman: All right.

John: I don't know what you did last night or how you did it, but, damn, you got to her.

Alex: All right. I confess. I used my super alien powers to become invisible. Then I spirited myself past your high-tech security.

John: She was on the verge of becoming herself last night. She remembered me. She wanted to be with me. Then this morning, she's walking around like some damn zombie again, totally under your control.

Alex: That's ridiculous. It's preposterous. You're upset because Marlena is making choices that you do not like. For Marlena to become completely healed, she must remember all the feelings she had before the accident, whether they're for you, for Roman, or for anyone else, so that she can deal with them. Now, that's what I'm working toward, but you -- you don't want her to regain all of her memory. You only want her to remember that she's in love with you. So you tell me -- who here is trying to control her?

John: Well, now, why do I get the feeling that you are on some kind of agenda that's got nothing to do with Marlena remembering me, Roman, or the rest of her family? You've got something in mind for my wife, don't you -- something personal?

Alex: Yeah. All I want is what I know is good for my patient. But you -- I think the stress of Marlena's amnesia is finally taking its toll. You're becoming irrational. Might I suggest a good therapist, Mr. Black?

Sami: That's it, grandma. This wedding is going to be a disaster, just like all the others. The broken mirror proves it. You can't fight bad luck like that.

Caroline: Oh, nonsense. That's just silly superstition.

Sami: Grandma, it is not silly. I'm cursed.

Caroline: Samantha Brady, now, you listen to me, and you listen hard. People make their own luck. You love Lucas, and he loves you. You've turned your life around, so there's nothing to be afraid of.

[Knock on door]

Sami: Lucas, if that is you, you have to go away, okay? I can't take anymore bad luck.

Roman: Honey, don't worry about it. It's not Lucas. It's your dad with your mom.

Sami: You're together?

Roman: Yeah, can we come in?

Sami: Of course. Of course.

Caroline: Grandma, you're right. Maybe you make your own luck.

Roman: Okay. We have a surprise for you. Your mother has agreed to walk you down the aisle with me.

Sami: Mom, really? Wow. That is the best wedding present anyone could ever give me. Thank you, mom. Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You remember, don't you? You remember that you love dad.

Marlena: No. No, I donít. But I do know that we were married, and I do know that you're our daughter. And I also know that the baby I lost was his. That must have been very hard for you.

Roman: Doc, just know this -- that baby was conceived with love.

Marlena: Even though we weren't together? Even though I was married to John and you were married to... that dark-haired girl that says she's my friend.

Sami: Wait a second. Kate Roberts is not your friend, mom. She is not anyone's friend. And she definitely didn't deserve to be married to daddy.

Roman: Sami.

Caroline: That's what I was talking about. Now, don't --

Sami: It's true, grandma. I can't help it.

Caroline: Not today.

Kate: [Coughing] Sami was Stan? How?

Nicole: Well, Tony DiMera had this brilliant disguise made for her. He even had that thingumajig to change her voice.

Kate: Oh, my God! We have to get to the church. We have to stop the wedding. You have to tell Lucas.

Nicole: No. Forget it. He's never gonna believe me.

Kate: Fine, fine. Then I'm gonna tell Lucas.

Nicole: He's never gonna believe you, not without any proof, and there isn't any -- not one little bit. That bitch won.

Kate: Oh, my God. I don't believe this. This is why Tony told me that she was the mistress of disguise, and this is why she was so worried when I told her that I knew she was in disguise because I was talking about when she pretended to be Tony's attorney, but she thought that I knew she was Stan.

Nicole: What? Sami pretended to be Tony's lawyer?

Kate: It's totally irrelevant now. It doesn't matter. But that is why she was so worried when she heard about the stuff in Tony's car and why she was so relieved when the stupid car blew up because the disguise was probably in the car.

Nicole: She said every little bit of evidence would be destroyed by the time Brady and Chloe were married, and it was. Ohh! Oh, face it, Kate. That bitch got away with it, and there's nothing we can do about it.

Kate: Oh, there's one thing.

Nicole: You have a plan?

Kate: Absolutely.

Nicole: Well, tell me. What is it? What is it? Come on, spit it out.

Kate: To get very, very, very drunk.

Nicole: To Sami. May she never have a moment's happiness.

Kate: May she rot in hell for all eternity, and the sooner, the better.

Belle: Okay, I'm gonna go find Sami, let her know that I'm here, 'cause you know how she's gonna be.

Philip: Yes, I do. I'm gonna go find Lucas, and I will see you at the altar, okay? Take care, Meems.

Shawn D.: [Sighs]

Belle: You know, you look great in that tux -- more like a groom than an usher.

Shawn D.: Thank you. Well, I better go start seating guests.

Belle: Shawn --

Mimi: You really need to give it up, Belle.

Belle: What are you talking about?

Mimi: You give me this bull about not leading him on, but everything you say and do is calculated to keep him stuck right by your side.

Belle: That's not what I'm doing. At least I'm not doing it on purpose.

Mimi: Then you need to see a shrink because you have serious problems.

Caroline: Oh, the dress is absolute perfection.

Sami: I think so, grandma.

Marlena: Sami... you look beautiful.

Sami: Thanks, mom.

Belle: Hey, sorry I'm late. Mom, you're here.

Sami: Yeah, Belle. She and my dad are gonna walk me down the aisle together.

Belle: That's terrific.

Marlena: Wow, it's true. I do have the two most beautiful daughters in Salem, don't I?

Sami: Wait. Does that mean that --

Belle: Are you remembering?

Marlena: Oh. No. No, but everybody tells me that you're my daughters, and I can see how beautiful you both are. Sorry. I'm sorry.

Caroline: Well, time's a wasting, Sami. We got something new and something blue for you.

Sami: Well, I'm sure Lucas is gonna love to take this off of me.

Belle: And I have something old and borrowed.

Sami: They're mom's pearls. Mom, these, um... these were your mother's, and you used to always say how you wanted me to wear them when I got married.

Marlena: Then you should.

Belle: I knew how upset you were when dad gave them to me.

Sami: To say the least.

Belle: Well, that's why I thought it was important that you have them to wear today.

Sami: Belle, thank you. I take back all the nasty things I said about you. [ Laughs] Mom, um, will you -- will you help me put them on?

Marlena: Of course. Okay. Here we go.

Fr. Jansen: Looks like we're just about ready.

Lucas: Looks like we are.

Shawn D.: Hi.

Mimi: Hi.

Philip: Nervous?

Lucas: About getting married? No. No, I just hope the wedding goes off without a hitch. Sami deserves that.

Philip: You both do.

["Trumpet voluntary" plays]

["The wedding march" plays]

Fr. Jansen: Who gives this woman to this man in marriage?

Both: We do.

Fr. Jansen: In the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit. Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the union of Samantha Gene and Lucas Desmond in holy matrimony.

Austin: I should have flown in last night after all.

Cpt. Isner: This is Captain Isner again. We picked up a little of the time we lost, and we should be starting our descent into Salem in about a half an hour, which means, hopefully, you'll be on the ground in 45 minutes or so.

Austin: Which means I'm gonna miss the ceremony. But at least I'll make the reception, assuming that the wedding actually happens. With Sami, you never know.

Kate: [Sighs] I know exactly what Sami is. You know exactly what Sami is. Why doesn't Lucas know exactly what Sami is?

Nicole: If I really have to explain it to you, Kate, it's been way too long. You know how men are.

Kate: [Sighs] Do I ever.

Nicole: So, is Austin really coming back to town?

Kate: Looks that way.

Nicole: Hmm. Maybe I should go powder my... whatever.

Kate: Nicole, don't you even think about trying to get your money-grubbing claws into Austin. Do you hear me? Oh, my God! Could my life be any worse? [ Knock on door] Who is the hell is that? Oh, very funny. What the hell is this?

Fr. Jansen: Is there anyone present who knows why these two people should not be joined in holy marriage? Speak now or forever hold your peace. Okay, then. Lucas, do you take Samantha to be your wife? Do you promise to be true to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, and to love her and honor her all the days of your life?

Lucas: I do.

Fr. Jansen: Do you, Samantha, take Lucas to be your husband? Do you promise to be true to him in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, and to love him and honor him all the days of your life?

Roman: All right. This wedding has to stop.

Billie: What's going on here? What the hell are you two doing?

Shawn D.: Mimi, you look beautiful.

Lexie: What are you doing to her?
