Philip: Belle! [Grunts] Honey, are you upstairs? I-I must have been really knocked out. Belle!

Philip: [Sighs] Where the hell is she? Come here.

Philip: [Exhales sharply] Ow.

Belle: Shawn, stop.

Shawn D.: I can't stop.

Belle: No, stop it. We can't do this. It's not right.

Shawn D.: [Exhales deeply] Let me just ask you one question. Would you rather be downstairs with Philip or up here with me? You could have stopped me when I first kissed you. But not only did you just let me kiss you, but you kissed me back. And that is because you love me.

Belle: Yes, I still love you! I love you more than anything or anyone in this whole world, and, God help me, all I want is to be with you.

Shawn D.: Does that mean it's over with Philip? Are you gonna finally tell him the truth?

Sami: Aah! Oh! Aah!

Lucas: [Laughing] Yeah.

Sami: [Laughing] Yes!

Lucas: We did it!

Sami: [Laughing] I can't believe we broke the bed again.

Lucas: Uh-huh. Yeah. And now I know what we should get each other as a wedding gift -- a sturdier bed.

Sami: Yeah. I think something much sturdier. You know, um, there is a very important difference between now and the last time this happened.

Lucas: Really? What's that?

Sami: Well, this time we're sure that the wicked witch isn't gonna interrupt us. She's out of our lives for good.

Lucas: Congratulations, Sami. You just killed the mood. Thanks.

Sami: [Sighs] Damn you, Kate.

Kate: [Sighs] I hope you're enjoying all the attention, Marlena. Roman should care half as much about his current wife. Our marriage is falling apart, and all you can think about is her. I should talk to him... make him understand about Sami, because I've already lost Lucas. I won't lose Roman.

John: Marlena...

Marlena: Oh, oh, please donít. Please don't touch me.

John: When you woke up just now, you said, "I remember you."

Marlena: Yes.

John: So... which one of us were you talking about? Me or Roman?

Marlena: I remember you, Dr. North. I remember the wonderful times we had.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.

Sami: Lucas, believe me, the last person I want to talk about is your mother.

Lucas: Well, then why'd you bring her up, Sami? I don't want to be reminded that she sabotaged our wedding, all right? I don't need that. She almost ruined three lives, including her son and her grandson's.

Sami: Well, it's not exactly like we could forget that it happened.

Lucas: I don't want to forget that it happened or forgive it. It's just real hard when my mom's involved, all right? It hurts.

Sami: Well, if you ask me, she's not worth you feeling bad about. Where are you going, Lucas? Come on. We were having such a good time.

Lucas: Yeah, we were... till you managed to ruin it again.

Sami: Oh, come on, Lucas. [Sighs] Damn it.

Kate: [Sighs]

Roman: Love is about trust. And how can we have either if you are capable of lying to me all this time?

Kate: Me, lie? Well, what about the lies you told me? What about the secrets you kept from me -- that you slept with Marlena while Tony was holding you captive, that you knew you that you were the father of Marlena's baby? While we were standing in front of a priest renewing our vows, you never said anything.

Roman: And that was wrong. I should have told you right away, and believe me, Kate, if I could go back in time and change things, I would. But that's the difference. I admit it. You have no remorse.

Kate: I was watching out for my son.

Roman: After you swore that you would watch out for my daughter. And you know what you did, Kate? You betrayed them both, and you betrayed us -- our relationship. And I don't know how in the hell I can be with somebody who's capable of that.

Kate: So, what are you saying?

Roman: That we're finished, Kate. It's over.

Kate: Maybe it was a mistake coming here. Maybe I should give Roman some time. Or with time will he realize that Marlena is the one he wants to be with?

John: What are you talking about?

Roman: How is it possible that you remember Dr. North?

John: This doesn't make any sense here. How can you have happy memories together?

Marlena: I don't know. All I know is that I... I remember him very clearly.

John: What the hell is this? Do you know my wife?

Alex: Mr. Black, I'm sure there's a logical explanation as to why your wife thinks she remembers me.

John: Yeah, well, let's hear this logical explanation.

Alex: Why don't you give me a few minutes alone together? Perhaps I can find out where these memories came from.

Roman: It doesn't sound real good to me.

John: It's not your call to make. The fact is I don't feel comfortable with the idea myself, under the circumstances. Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere.

Roman: Neither am I.

Marlena: I-I would like you both to go -- both of you. I would like to be alone with Alex.

John: [Scoffs] "Alex."

Alex: I...encouraged her to use my first name as a means of putting her at ease -- break down the doctor/patient barrier.

John: Yeah. Right. Why do you want roman and me to leave so you can be alone with Alex?

Marlena: Because all the two of you do is pressure me to try to remember things that I canít. And then when I do remember something, you tell me that I'm wrong. It's very confusing to me. So I would just like it if you would both leave now.

Alex: Mr. Black... if you'd rather I didn't treat your wife, I can request another doctor.

Marlena: I don't want somebody else. I want you. I trust you. Actually, right now [Sniffles] You're about the only person I do trust.

John: Well, obviously, she feels very comfortable with you, Dr. North. By all means, please continue.

Roman: Yeah, maybe that is for the best.

Marlena: Good. Then would you both please leave now?

John: Yeah. But I'll be back. No pressures.

Roman: That goes for me, too.

[Door opens, closes]

Alex: Hey, hey, hey, hey.

Marlena: [Crying]

Alex: It's all right. You can relax now. Hmm? Take a minute. Calm down. Catch your breath. Clear your mind. And then we'll talk a little, okay?

Marlena: Thank you.

Roman: You know, I still don't see how she could say she remembered Dr. North.

John: I'd still like it if you'd just stay the hell out of all of this.

Roman: Well, that's not gonna happen, John. Kate. What the hell are you doing here?

Philip: Hey, Meems.

Mimi: Hey. What's up?

Philip: Have you seen Belle?

Mimi: No, and I don't care if I ever do again. I know she's your wife, but she ruined my life when she told Rex about my abortion -- she can rot in hell for all I care.

Philip: When is this gonna stop? She didn't tell Rex anything. He overheard your conversation.

Mimi: He never would have if she had just minded her own business.

Philip: "Minded her own business." Do you even hear yourself? You guys are best friends. You tell each other everything.

Mimi: That's right. We were best friends. If she had tried being a little supportive of me and what I was going through instead of laying into me from her moral high horse, then Rex never would have overheard in the first place.

Philip: You were the one keeping secrets, Mimi -- big secrets that Rex had a right to know.

Mimi: You don't think I know that?! Yes, yes, I should have told Rex the truth about the baby -- yes. Just like Belle should tell you the truth about what's going on with Shawn.

Philip: You're trying to tell me there's something going on between Belle and Shawn that I don't already know about?

Belle: No, Shawn. I'm not leaving Philip. I'm not asking him for a divorce.

Shawn D.: But you just said that you love me more than you love him -- that you want to be with me.

Belle: I do. I never denied that. And I let you kiss me just now and I kissed you back because I'm weak, and it was wrong of me to let you.

Shawn D.: It couldn't be more right, because neither one of us can deny how much we feel for each other. We were supposed to be together the way that we always dreamed. We were just waiting for Philip to get healthy again, and then you were gonna tell him the truth.

Belle: That was before. Things are different now. Nothing's ever gonna be the way we planned -- not ever.

Roman: Kate, I asked you a question. What the hell are you doing here? Anything we got to say to each other, we've already said.

Kate: [Scoffs]

John: What's the problem, Roman? Obviously Kate's here because she's Marlena's friend and she's concerned about her.

Kate: How is she? Is she any better?

John: No. But there has been an interesting development.

Kate: What's that?

John: It seems that she only remembers Dr. North and neither one of us.

Kate: Well, how is that possible?

John: I don't know. Maybe they crossed paths in med school or something. I don't know.

Kate: Yeah, well, I'm sure there's some kind of explanation, right?

Roman: I'm sure there is, but I don't think you need to stick around to find out what it is.

John: Listen, maybe it's none of my business here, but what the hell is going on?

Kate: Believe me, you don't need to deal with this. You don't need to be bothered -- not now.

Roman: Why not, Kate? Why don't you go ahead and tell John what you've done? Don't you think he'd be interested?

John: What she's done?

Roman: Go ahead. Tell him what you did to Sami -- his wife's daughter, your husband's daughter.

Kate: Not now, Roman.

Roman: Kate, come on. Don't tell me you're embarrassed now -- not after you opened up and admitted that you felt absolutely no shame and not even a little bit of remorse.

John: Remorse for what?

Roman: You know how Sami's always been saying that Kate was responsible for sabotaging her wedding -- that somehow she drugged her and Brandon to get them into bed together?

John: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is she still sticking to that ridiculous story? Oh, come on, man. You're not buying it, are you?

Roman: It turns out it's true, John. My lovely wife did everything Sami said... and more.

Alex: You feel better now?

Marlena: I do. I do. Thank you, uh, for making them leave.

Alex: Well, you don't have to thank me for that. It's my job to make sure that you feel comfortable, that you feel safe. That's all that's important.

Marlena: [Chuckles]

Alex: Now... that it's just the two of us, do you know why you remembered me?

Marlena: I'm sorry. I don't know why I did.

Alex: Well, I do. And I'd be happy to tell you where those memories came from.

Sami: [Cries] Damn it, Sami. Why did you have to do that? He doesn't need you to rub what Kate did in his face. He already knows.

Lucas: I'd remember that, all right, Sami?

Sami: Lucas. I thought you left.

Lucas: Well, I said that you managed to ruin things. I wasn't gonna leave.

Sami: Well, I'm sorry about what I said. I'm sorry that I hurt you.

Lucas: It's all right. I don't want to talk about that, okay? I want to talk about you, me, and Will and our future together.

Sami: Sounds good to me.

Lucas: Okay.

Sami: So, um [Clears throat] What happened here?

Lucas: Well, I, uh, I know how you crave ice cream after we make love, so I'd thought save you some steps.

Sami: Well, Lucas, I plan for us to be doing this a lot, so I don't know that I should have ice cream every time.

Lucas: What are you talking about? You can do that. You look great, honey. And don't worry about the calories. We can just work that off the hard way.

Sami: Oh, so are you in the mood again?

Lucas: Hmm. I don't know. Maybe.

Sami: Oh, you are in the mood again.

Lucas: I think I am.

Philip: So, why don't you tell me what you know about Belle and Shawn?

Mimi: All right. Philip, Shawn still has feelings for Belle.

Philip: Yeah, I know that. I'm not an idiot. They were in love for a long time, and he was crazy to ever leave her. I know what you're gonna say -- Jan held him prisoner all summer. That never would have happened if he hadn't left Belle. I think everything happens for a reason, so obviously it was meant to be for me to end up with Belle, married. That's probably very difficult on Shawn, and it's probably even harder now that we're gonna have a baby.

Mimi: Oh, yeah. The baby. Well, as furious as I am with her, I know she's gonna make a great mom, and you're gonna make a really great dad, too.

Philip: Well, thank you. Right now I want to find her. I fell asleep earlier, and when I woke up, she was gone. I thought maybe she went up to the roof for some air like she does sometimes, which is actually a pretty good idea, 'cause it's sweltering in the loft right now. Um, do you think you could help me up there, Meems?

Shawn D.: I can't believe you're just gonna give up on us! That's it?!

Belle: I don't have a choice.

Shawn D.: Of course you have a choice! You just don't want to make it. Yes, Philip is gonna be hurt. Neither one of us want that. But it's the only way the two of us can be together.

Belle: We're not gonna be together! Why can't you get that?! It's over. I'm leaving.

Shawn D.: No --

Belle: Don't say another word, okay? In fact, after tonight, I think it's better if we never see each other again.

We will return for the second half of "Days of Our Lives" in just a moment.

Mimi: [Thinking] If Belle is up on the roof with Shawn and Philip finds them, Belle could end up with Shawn, and I cannot let that happen. Not only does she deserve not to be happy, but Philip doesn't deserve to be hurt.

Philip: Mimi... can you please help me?

Mimi: Sorry. I -- you know, I really don't think I'm strong enough to help you up the stairs. Besides, Belle's probably not up there, anyway.

Philip: She's not in the loft.

Mimi: She probably couldn't sleep and went for a walk or went to check on her mom at the hospital.

Philip: I didn't think of that. I just thought it was a little strange when I woke up and she wasn't there. I'm sure she's fine.

Mimi: Yeah. Girls like her are always fine.

Philip: Mimi --

Mimi: Sorry, couldn't help it.

Philip: I know you're upset.

Mimi: "Upset" isn't the word for it.

Philip: If you're that upset, why don't you hang out with me? I'm a good listener. Come on.

Mimi: Fine. I'll stay for a while, but the last person I want to see is your wife. And I know you think I'm being harsh, but if someone took away your one and only chance at happiness, believe me, you would feel the same way.

Belle: I can't do this anymore. Can't you understand that?

Shawn D.: Well, I can't let you go -- not like this.

Belle: Our being together's not doing either one of us any good. [Sighs] Shawn, I'm just tired of feeling guilty. Every time I'm alone with you behind Philip's back, I feel like I'm betraying him.

Shawn D.: You're not betraying him. You're not betraying your vows. We haven't done anything wrong. Do you -- do you remember when we carved our initials on the door here? I thought that we were gonna be together forever.

Belle: I thought so, too. But we were young and naive.

Shawn D.: It wasn't that long ago.

Belle: It seems like it. A lot's happened since then. We've both had to grow up so fast.

Shawn D.: Yeah, a lot has happened since then, but I knew that I could get through anything as long as I was with you.

Belle: [Chuckles] Funny. That's exactly how Philip feels.

Shawn D.: [Scoffs] You told me that you were gonna tell Philip the truth as soon as he was feeling better and could handle it.

Belle: That was before I found out I was pregnant. I'm sorry... but we can't just ignore the fact that I'm carrying Philip's baby. Nothing about our lives is ever gonna be the same again.

Lucas: [Exhales deeply]

Sami: [Chuckles] You are amazing. So, um, how about that ice cream?

Lucas: See, I told you. I knew you'd want it.

Sami: Well, I, um, I already got what I wanted.

Lucas: Mmm. Whoa. Who needs ice cream?

Sami: Well, I mean, since you brought it in here and everything, we should eat it before it melts, right?

Lucas: I guess you're right. We did generate some serious heat, didn't we?

Sami: We sure did.

Lucas: All right.

Sami: So, okay --

Lucas: You stay put. I got all your favorite toppings. I'm gonna make it just the way you like it. I got the sprinkles for you.

Sami: I can't believe you did all that.

Lucas: No nuts. You don't like nuts. They're for me. Relax. Chocolate syrup for Sami!

Sami: [Laughs]

Lucas: And more syrup maybe. What the hell? Last but not least, ooh, the weapon. Whipped cream. And a little cherry on top, my dear. Here you are.

Sami: Wow. That is amazing. You are spoiling me rotten.

Lucas: Get used to it. I'm gonna spoil you for the rest of your life. I'll make mine here.

Sami: I just -- I can't believe it. We are gonna have our happy ending.

Lucas: We're gonna have a great future together -- you, me, and Will -- as a family.

Sami: Well, what if Will ends up with a little brother or sister?

Lucas: What if he ends up with two or three?

Sami: I can't believe it. I cannot wait to live happily ever after with you, Lucas.

Lucas: You're right about that.

Sami: I can't believe you have so much whipped cream on this ice cream.

Lucas: It's the best.

Sami: [Laughs]

Lucas: All right. To us.

Sami: To us. Lucas, I love you so much. I never stopped loving you.

Lucas: I love you, too. I never stopped, and I never will. Mmm.

Sami: Let's eat.

Lucas: All right. Good, huh?

Sami: Mm-hmm. Excellent.

Lucas: The best.

John: I don't believe it, Kate.

Roman: Well, John, you can believe it. Kate did everything Sami accused her of. Lucas and I heard the proof.

John: Proof, huh?

Roman: Yeah. Sami fortunately got her hands on some taped conversations between Kate and her accomplice, Eugenia Willens. It, uh, pretty much tells the whole ugly story..

Kate: But I can explain.

Roman: Well, Kate, you keep saying that, but there is no explanation. There is no excuse for what you did.

John: I'm not so sure about that.

Roman: What the hell are you saying, John?

John: Well, what Kate did was... extreme... but then again, you weren't around to see the hell your daughter put Kate and me through when she thought that you and Marlena were dead. Never gave us a minute's sympathy for what we went through or what we lost. In fact, she just went out of her way to try to make our lives even more miserable by casting blame and making these outrageous accusations.

Roman: Which turned out to be justified.

John: I'm talking about before -- before what happened to Lucas. The fact is Kate tried -- did her damndest to make things right with Sami -- and Sami fought her at every turn.

Roman: I can't believe that Kate tried all that hard.

John: Oh, come on, Roman. You know how your daughter can be, better than anybody -- always going around thinking everybody's out to get her, when the truth is she's the one who's always screwing up, and she still is -- trying to manipulate you and Marlena into trying to get back together.

Roman: She's not manipulating anybody, and she's not just being paranoid.. Kate deliberately tried to destroy my daughter's life.

John: Oh, come on, man! Don't let Sami come between the two of you.

Roman: Wait a minute, John. Hang on here. Sami -- are you blaming Sami for this?

John: Just hear me out. I'm not saying that Kate is blameless here. I'm just saying maybe she took things a little bit too far. But the bottom line is we both know how much she loves her children, and she'll do anything to protect them.

Roman: Lucas didn't need protecting, John. He's a man, and he loved Sami, and Sami loved him.

John: Sami always hurts the one she loves, doesn't she? Look how many other weddings blew up in her face without Kate's help. Now, can you blame her for not wanting to see her son's heart broken?

Roman: Oh, my God. I cannot believe you're defending her in this.

John: Listen, pal, all I'm saying is you both love your children, and you want to do what's right for them. So maybe you can try to understand where Kate's coming from, huh? Bottom line -- she tried to reach out to Sami, and what was she met with? Just more hate and distrust.

Roman: All right, pal, distrust for good reason.

John: Oh, come on. It's not that simple, man.

Roman: Oh, John, it is simple. You know, I know Sami is not perfect, but I know she was trying to change. My God. She had found true love. She was the happiest I had ever seen her in her life, and she was trying to be a better person, but Kate wouldn't let her succeed.. She sabotaged everything Sami tried. And from what I understand, you weren't very helpful.. You weren't very supportive with Sami, either, while Doc and I were gone. And do you know how much that hurt Doc, to hear that? And maybe -- maybe there's a reason there -- a very small reason why she didn't tell you about her and me -- why she didn't tell you about being pregnant -- 'cause maybe somewhere down deep there was a small part of her that wasn't sure she still wanted to be with you.

Marlena: I would be very happy to have you explain, because for the life of me, I can't imagine why I remember you so clearly... when I know we just met.

Alex: The thing is, Marlena, you're not actually remembering me. You're projecting me into your suppressed memories of either John or Roman or both.

Marlena: Why would I do that?

Alex: Because right now I'm the only man who isn't claiming to be in love with you or pushing you to remember that you're in love with me... and because it seems to me your love for these two men -- John and Roman -- is what is at the root of all your troubles.

Philip: I just think it's a shame, Meems. You guys have been friends forever, and I hate to see that end, particularly since what happened between you and Rex was not her fault..

Mimi: You know, Philip, even after I asked Belle to not talk about my abortion in a public place, after Rex overheard, I gave her an out -- to let me handle it. But, no. All she wanted to do was make sure Rex knew exactly what I had done. I lost Rex because all Belle cared about was lecturing me on what an awful human being I was, as if she's never made a mistake in her life.

Philip: It wasn't like that.

Mimi: It was exactly like that, and I can't forgive Belle, like Shawn will probably never forgive you for taking the love of his life away from him.

Philip: Why do you keep bringing that up?

Mimi: [Exhales sharply] I mean, you agreed earlier that he's probably not over losing Belle and may never be, just like I will never get over losing Rex.

Philip: So I guess you and Shawn are kind of in the same position, huh?

Mimi: I guess we are, I mean, in a way. We're both alone.

Philip: But you don't have to be. You guys are very good friends living in the same apartment, right?

Mimi: What are you getting at?

Philip: I'm not getting at anything. I'm just saying that you used to have a major crush on Shawn back in high school. In fact, I remember a time when you actually begged him to take you to a dance.

Mimi: [Groans]

Mimi: Why don't you come? It'll be fun.

Shawn D.: What?

Mimi: You and me -- we could -- we could go to the dance together. But -- but just as friends, and -- so, what do you say?

Shawn D.: Mimi, I told you I don't like dances. I don't want to go. It's not my thing.

Mimi: Shawn, who cares? I can't -- I can't go to the dance alone. Do you know how embarrassing that would be? Please, Shawn, say you'll go with me. Please. Say yes. Shawn, say you'll go with me.

Shawn D.: Mimi, what are you doing?

Mimi: Why did you have to remind me of that?

Philip: I'm just saying you always wanted to be with Shawn.

Mimi: That was a really long time ago.

Philip: It wasn't that long ago. The best lovers start out as friends. Back in high school, I never ever would have imagined I would end up with Belle -- married to her, ready to have a family. Like everybody else, I thought she was gonna end up with Shawn. It just shows how wrong you can be.

Belle: Shawn, the fact that I'm pregnant changes everything. I told you that from the minute I first found out.

Shawn D.: I still... I still can't believe it. I cannot believe that you would rather stay in a loveless marriage than be with me.

Belle: This isn't about me or what I want. It's what I'm trying to tell you. This is about my child and what he or she needs, and that is a mother and a father. And I don't want my baby growing up going back and forth between two homes. I couldn't stand that. And I don't want to be a part-time parent. I want to be there for every second of every day, and I know Philip wants that, too. We both believe that a child should grow up with both of his parents together.

Shawn D.: There -- there are plenty of kids who have divorced parents who grow up just fine.

Belle: Maybe so. But that's not what I want. Philip -- when his parents got divorced, it tore him up. And what about Sami?

Shawn D.: If Sami's parents would have stayed together, you wouldn't be here.

Belle: Shawn, look. We've both talked about our responsibilities and about our promises to each other. But I have a greater responsibility to this baby.

Shawn D.: It doesn't have to be that way, especially when you're not in love with the baby's father.

Belle: That's not true. I do love him.

Shawn D.: Not the way you love me.

Belle: Maybe not. But this isn't about us anymore. And it isn't about Philip and me. It's about what's best for my baby. That's all that matters.

Sami: Mmm. That was so good.

Lucas: So good. It was amazing good 'cause I made it.

Sami: [Laughs] Well, now I'm gonna hate myself in the morning for it.

Lucas: You're not gonna hate yourself in the morning. You'll just have to work a little harder to work off the calories.

Sami: Oh, really?

Lucas: Mm-hmm.

Sami: That's a good idea.

Lucas: [Sighs]

Sami: What?

Lucas: Well, I just got a sudden craving for whipped cream!

Sami: Wait a second, Lucas. That's how you plan to burn off the calories, by eating more whipped cream?

Lucas: Yeah, it is. I think we can do [Sprays] Both, can't we?

Sami: You better not be thinking what I think you're thinking.

Lucas: I think I'm thinking the same thing you're thinking. What, is that gonna be a problem? You scared?

Sami: No. Not if I get to go first. That's what I'm talking about. Whoo!

Lucas: Bring it on. Give daddy that weapon. Only I know how to use it properly.

Sami: [Shrieks] Oh! My God!

John: So, what are you getting at?

Roman: John, it's pretty simple. You know what? Maybe you shouldn't be with Marlena. I mean, the way you're defending Kate after what she did, maybe you should be with her. I mean, my God, I mean, you had an engagement ring on her finger when Doc and I came back, and both of you share the same feelings about Sami. So maybe the two of you should be together. Doc and I love Sami. We'd have figured out a way to help her -- not sabotage her life when she was just getting it back together.

John: This isn't about Kate or me or Sami or anything else, is it? Admit it, Roman. This is about one thing and one thing only -- you wanting to be with my wife.

Marlena: Was there something going on out there?

Alex: It would appear your two husbands are fighting over you.

Marlena: Oh.

Alex: I must say I can't blame them. You are clearly a woman worth fighting for.

Kate: That's enough. Please. I need to talk to Roman...alone.

Roman: I told you, Kate. We got nothing else to talk about.

Kate: Maybe you donít... but I do.

Roman: It won't do any good. Look, Kate, I'm gonna say something here, all right? I understand you...not liking my daughter. I mean, my God, she's not the easiest person in the world to get along with, and I understand you not wanting to be her best friend. But what I don't understand is that you would deliberately go out of your way to destroy her life after I asked you to protect her. And you promised me you would. So you know what? I look at you now, Kate, and I've got to tell you -- I almost -- I almost feel sick -- sick that I ever loved you and ever trusted you.

Kate: [Inhales sharply]

John: Would you relax, man? You're angry, you're upset, and now you're saying things you don't even mean.

Roman: John, I'm sorry, but this is none of your business.

John: No, it's not, but Kate is right. You two need to talk... alone.

[Door closes]

Kate: How dare you.

Roman: How dare me what, Kate?

Kate: Maybe you don't want to be married to me anymore. Maybe you have already made up your mind, and that is your right. But you had no right to offer me up to John like a piece of property!

Roman: You know what, Kate? I'm sorry, but I thought that you would appreciate me clearing the way for you.

Kate: You know, he is right about something, because this is all pretty obvious now. You're using this thing with Sami to get out of this marriage. He's right about something else, too. You really are acting a bit rashly. I think you should wait.

Roman: Wait for what?

Kate: Oh, you should wait till Marlena gets back her memory. That way, you'll know whether she remembers being in love with John...or in love with you.

John: I think I've waited long enough, doctor. Now I need an answer. Why is it that my wife remembered you and not me or Roman?

Mimi: Oh, my God. I don't believe what I'm hearing. You think Shawn and I should be together? You sound just like my mom.

Philip: I know you are Shawn are hurting now. It's not gonna happen right now, but maybe down the road, something could develop. Why is that so crazy? You had a thing for him. There's no denying it. He must have had a thing for you, too. Belle told me the whole story of him giving you your first real kiss while you were in Paris. Remember that? Yeah, yeah.. You remember. I see that look in your eyes. It's not so crazy right now, is it?

Mimi: Of course it is crazy! Me and Shawn?! That could never happen in a million years.

Philip: Tell me why not.

Belle: You know what I'm saying is right. You just don't want to accept it.

Shawn D.: Of course I don't want to accept it, and I wonít.

Belle: Shawn...I've made up my mind once and for all. There's no going back. It's over for us. It has to be.

Shawn D.: No. There has to be some way to make it work.

Belle: There's not. I'm sorry.

Shawn D.: You will be. We both will. Sorrier than you know, if we don't fight for us.

Belle: I'm sorry now. But I also know [Sniffles] That in time we'll be able to put each other's memories behind us, and we'll be able to move on with our lives, and we'll be happy.

Shawn D.: You're wrong... 'cause I will never forget you.

Belle: You have to. Goodbye, Shawn.

Shawn D.: Just -- just wait. Just wait. I will always love you. That'll never change.

Belle: I have to go.

John: What do you suggest we do?

Alex: I think the only thing that'll benefit Marlena right now is for her to leave Salem.

Philip: Why are you blushing?

Mimi: Stop it!

Philip: Who are you trying to convince -- me or yourself?

Bo: Hope has been kidnaped by DiMera. I need your help to find her.

Tony: And since Hope is already here... I should kill her first.
