Abby: Oh, Chelsea, watch out!
Chelsea: [Panting] Sorry. I guess I took that turn a little too fast.
Abby: A little? You nearly knocked out a whole row of trash cans. You have to pull over.
Chelsea: What for? They were just a couple of trash cans, Abby.
Abby: That's not what I'm talking about. The police are after you.
Chelsea: If they catch me, they're gonna take away my car and my license when they find out I don't have insurance. That's not gonna happen.
Abby: Do you think you can outrun the police? Haven't you ever seen any of those high-speed chases on TV? They always end badly. Nobody ever gets away.
Chelsea: We're going to. Hold on tight.
Patrick: Yeah, yeah, I know what I have to do. Yeah, well, I need more time. And you still haven't answered my question -- will this put her in any danger? No, I do need to know. And if you don't tell me everything, you can count me out right now, huh? I don't care what I owe you, okay? I'm not gonna hurt someone I care about. How about that? Damn it!
Max: I couldn't help but overhear. Sounds to me like you got a problem on your hands, tough guy.
Patrick: You son of a bitch. You're gonna forget everything you just heard. You got that?
Jennifer: Well, thank you for taking care of Jack's hand. I mean, I know that he's accident-prone, but it's so strange that Jack would be that careless around the grill. That's not like him.
Frankie: Yeah, well, we were talking, and I guess he just wasn't paying attention.
Jennifer: He's lucky that burn wasn't more serious, Frankie.
Jennifer: Well, I gotta get this food together if we're ever gonna eat.
Frankie: I'll give you a hand.
Jennifer: Thanks. Oh, hey. I'll grab the hot dogs.
Jack: Great. And piccalilli relish.
Billie: Okay, are you sure you're okay? Are you sure your hand is okay? That really must have hurt.
Jack: Strangely enough, it didn’t.
Billie: It didn't? It didn’t. It didn't because you couldn't feel it on the hot grill. You couldn't feel your hand burning on the hot grill, right?
Jack: How would you know that?
Billie: Because I worked with an I.S.A. agent in London who had pretty much all the same symptoms you've been having. Eventually --
Jack: Did he...
Billie: Y-yes. Yes, but that doesn't mean that you're gonna die, Jack.
Jack: Okay, this I.S.A. agent -- after he started showing his symptoms, how long was it before he, you know... that quick, huh? All right. I'm gonna have to pick up my plans faster.
Billie: Wait a minute, no. I can't believe you're gonna try and set up Jennifer with Frankie.
Jack: It's the only way. Don't you see? I have to make sure that Jennifer is taken care of, that she's gonna have someone special in her life after I'm gone.
Billie: Jack, the only way to do this is to tell Jennifer the truth.
Jack: No. Can't do that. I won't do that. And that is final.
All: Happy Birthday, Dear Lucas
Happy Birthday to you
Lucas: Sami, what the hell are you doing here?
Lucas: Sami, I appreciate what you're doing --
Sami: Wait a second. I just want you to know that I am going to give you a birthday you'll never forget.
Julie: Go, girl, go, girl.
Kate: I don't believe this. What is she doing?
Roman: Well, it looks to me like she's wishing a very Happy Birthday to the man she loves.
Julie: Yes, that's exactly what she's doing. Sami worked very hard to make this happen...with a little help from Maggie and myself.
Kate: Oh, God. What is going on? There is no way she got us over here just for cake and ice cream.
Eugenia: There's no way in hell.
Belle: Well, one thing's true about my sister -- as crazy as she is, she really does love your brother.
Philip: Yeah...not like I love you, though.
Lucas: Wait a minute.
Sami: Well? Come on, Lucas. Were you surprised?
Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, I was. I guess you could say that.
Sami: It's not over yet. You wait and see -- this is just the beginning.
Lucas: Hold on -- if you think this changes anything, Sami, you're wrong.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.
Chelsea: I made a decision when I lost my parents. No one's ever taking anything away from me again...especially not Billie Reed. There's no way she's getting Patrick.
Abby: You're acting crazy. If you don't pull over, that officer's going to call reinforcements.
Chelsea: Would you calm down? [Sighs] I have a plan.
Sami: Well, Lucas, I'm sorry if I upset you. I just wanted to do something nice for your birthday.
Lucas: No, you did, but you can't just pop out of a cake and expect everything that's gone wrong between us -- you can't expect that to suddenly go away, Sami.
Sami: I don't think that. But I do think it's a step in the right direction. I mean, I went to a lot of effort to show you how much I care about you and how much I want us to be together. And that's gotta count for something, right?
Lucas: Yeah. Look, I want to spend the rest of my life with you more than you realize, but you've just taken too many steps in the wrong direction for that to happen, so I'm sorry.
Sami: Dad, hi.
Sami: Thank you so much for coming. I'm glad you could make it.
Roman: Well, I just wish your little surprise had, had more of the effect you were hoping for.
Sami: Don't worry, dad. Party's not over yet.
Lucas: I really appreciate you guys coming. It's just, we already celebrated my birthday once today.
Belle: Oh, you can hardly call the three of us at our place a party.
Philip: We didn't have Sami jumping out of a cake. I think that alone was worth the drive over here.
Lucas: Yeah, well...
Belle: Lucas, you do know how much my sister still loves you.
Lucas: Yeah, probably as much as I love her.
Belle: Then why don't you do something about it? It's not too late.
Lucas: That's the thing, Belle -- it is too late. Whatever we had ended when she decided to sleep with her ex-husband the night before our wedding. I just can't forgive that. I'm sorry.
Eugenia: Can I pour you one, Kate?
Kate: [Sighs] No, thank you.
Eugenia: Okay, suit yourself. But if I were you, I wouldn't relax just yet. Something tells me Sami's not done here.
Julie: Kate, darling, you don't seem to be having a very good time.
Kate: Well, frankly, I'm a little surprised at you, Julie. I've known you a long time. How could you help Sami worm her way back into Lucas' affections?
Julie: Oh, there was no worming involved. She wanted to do something wonderful for his birthday -- a surprise that would cheer him up. And I think it was very sweet and kind of romantic.
Kate: [Scoffs] Please.
Julie: Kate, everybody knows those two belong together.
Kate: Oh, are you out of your mind Julie. Of course she's up to something.
Julie: She wants to win him back.
Kate: I'm not talking about that. Of course she wants Lucas back. She also wants to get back at me.
Julie: Get back at you? What would that be for, Kate?
Roman: Well, I really do wish I could stay, but I gotta get to the hospital, check on your mom.
Sami: Oh, well, how is she doing? Any change?
Roman: Not yet, but Lexie brought in a specialist, Dr. North, and she's hoping, with the proper therapy, that he can help her get her memory back.
Sami: Well, dad, if you ask me, I think the only therapy my mom needs is you. She still loves you, dad.
Roman: Sami, don't start, all right? Now, I really do have to go.
Sami: Wait, don't leave yet. Thank you so much for coming. It means a lot to me that you both came -- you and Kate.
Roman: Kate, my wife... the one you can't stand.
Sami: Well, I still think you belong with mom, but I understand that you're trying to make things work with Kate. I know that I've been awful to her lately and that I've upset you, so I just want you to know I feel badly about it and I'm sorry.
Roman: Sami, you're up to something. Now, tell me what it is.
Frankie: Mmm... did you really make these? They're incredible.
Jennifer: Wait, what do you mean, did I really make those?
Frankie: Well, when did you learn how to bake?
Frankie: What is this -- one of those mixes?
Jennifer: Stop it. I will have you know this is grandma Alice Horton's recipe. Don't touch them. They're for dessert.
Frankie: Haven't you ever heard the saying "life is uncertain. Eat dessert first"?
Jennifer: No, I haven't heard that. Don't touch them. Leave them alone. How's your hand?
Jack: Oh, it's great. I wanted to let you know the burgers are almost finished.
Jennifer: Frankie, can you grab the pickles? Jack, just grab something from the table.
Jack: Sure. Frankie, come here.
Frankie: What's up?
Jack: Look, I just wanted to thank you for what you did earlier.
Frankie: For what -- wrapping your hand?
Jack: Yeah, that and covering with Jennifer.
Frankie: Oh, don't worry about it. You were worried about her. I understand. Come on, let's eat.
Jack: Wait. I just want to let you know, I couldn't help seeing the two of you, and I noticed, you know, you're really having a good time together.
Frankie: Yeah...I guess so.
Jack: Well, I'm just saying that it's really obvious from watching you two that you really were in love once.
Frankie: Jack, wait a minute. If you think anything's going on --
Jack: No, I'm not saying that at all. I know my wife. She would never do any-- she'd never do anything like that. And you -- I know you wouldn't, either. I'm just -- I'm just saying it's obvious that the two of you had something. I guess I'm trying to say that I'm glad that you're here. It's nice to know that, uh... that you're here with Jennifer. She's gone through so much. And now here's a friend, an old friend, someone that she trusts, someone that she knows, someone who can help look after her and the kids and keep everybody out of trouble.
Frankie: Jack, look, I know it's none of my business -- you've been a little on edge lately. What's going on? What is it -- you think Jen is in some kind of trouble or what?
Jack: That's it, yeah. That's what I think.
Frankie: From who? The DiMeras?
Jack: No, no. Someone worse than that.
Frankie: What could be worse than the DiMeras?
Jack: Someone she knows. Someone she trusts so she's vulnerable.
Frankie: Jack, who are we talking about?
Jack: It's obvious. It's Patrick Lockhart.
Patrick: So we understand each other, Max? Did I make myself clear?
Max: Very. And if you're smart, you'll get your hand off of me now.
Patrick: Oh. Or what?
Max: Look, you better be more careful. You got secrets you don't want me to hear, you keep them the hell out of my garage.
Patrick: Your garage? Isn't this Jack and Jennifer's house? You think because she's letting you stay upstairs --
Max: You don't like that, do you? You're so pissed off that you got the boot from Jennifer's old man. Speaking of which, what the hell are you doing here, anyway?
Patrick: I'm looking for Billie. She said she'd be here.
Max: Oh, and you thought you'd just chase after her -- is that it? I don't blame you. I want a piece of that for myself.
Patrick: You watch your mouth. You stay away from her.
Max: First it's Chelsea. Next it's Billie. What's your problem -- you want all the chicks in Salem for yourself? Is that it?
Patrick: Chelsea is a young girl, and she's going through a really hard time. I'd hate to see her get hurt.
Max: Who's looking to hurt her, huh? Hey, look, she's got much more maturity than you actually think, okay?
Patrick: I'm only gonna say this one more time. You keep your filthy hands off of Chelsea. That goes for Billie, too. 'Cause I'm warning you, Brady, if you cross me, you could end up dead.
Billie: What the hell is the matter with you?
Chelsea: This is awesome. Did you see that, Abs?
[Siren wails in distance]
Chelsea: Eat my dust, sucker.
Abby: Chelsea, what are you doing? That's my house.
Chelsea: Didn't I tell you I had a plan? Sort of.
Abby: Sort of?
Chelsea: You heard me -- haul ass.
[Car door opens, closes]
Cop: Vehicle found abandoned, 700 Block, Oakhurst Drive. It's registered to a Chelsea Benson.
Abby: Great -- it's locked.
Chelsea: Come on, Abby, we don't have time for that. He's coming over here. Let's go.
Jennifer: Abby, Chelsea, hey. Where you going?
Kate: Has Sami ever needed a reason to go after me, Julie? She hates me because I'm on to her. But, believe me, I'm not going to let her hurt Lucas again.
Julie: Yes, I understand all that, but, you know, people do change. It really happens. I'm living proof. When I was a girl, I was always in trouble.
Kate: Oh, Julie, you never did anything like Sami has done. For years, Lucas had no idea that Will was his son. And when he finally finds out, what does she do? She takes him to court. She accuses him of child abuse. And that's only two of the things she's done.
Julie: A long time ago, Kate. Granted, Sami is not what you'd call perfect. But I think she's grown up just a little.
Kate: The hell she has. She's just as bad as ever. And, believe me, I am not gonna let her get her hooks into Lucas again.
Maggie: Well, I take it that Kate is not in favor of a Sami-Lucas reunion.
Julie: No. But, fortunately, it is not up to her.
Sami: Okay, dad, I'll say it again. I'm not up to anything. I just want to make sure the people I love are happy. And that's why it means so much to me that you came. Please stay, dad. Please.
Roman: Sami, okay. All right, I'll stay. But I hope you're telling the truth.
Sami: I am. You'll see.
Roman: Well, I'm gonna go check on Kate.
Sami: Okay. Sure. Hey, Belle.
Belle: Out with it, Sami. Something's going on here. What is it?
Sami: Oh, come on. Why does everyone think I'm up to something?
Belle: Because we know you, Sami. Why would you invite Kate and Eugenia to this party? It doesn't make any sense.
Sami: It makes perfect sense. Kate is Lucas' mother and my father's wife. And Eugenia and Lucas are friends. I'm just trying to make sure I do what's right for everyone.
Roman: You know what, Kate? I am very, very happy that we're okay. And I think we got a lot of things resolved in that conversation we had earlier.
Kate: Yeah, well, the, um... party looks like it's wrapping up, so what do you say we go home, spend a little time together?
Roman: Nothing I would like more, but I just promised Sami that we'd stick around for a while.
Kate: Oh, God, Roman.
Roman: Kate... Kate, listen to me, all right? I gotta ask you a favor.
Roman: Will you think about giving Sami her job back at Basic Black?
Roman: I'm just saying think about it, okay? You don't have to decide right now, and it's not just for Sami, okay? It's for me.
Kate: Oh, Roman --
Roman: Kate, Kate, all I'm saying, think about it -- that's all, okay?
Kate: I'll think about it, but I'm not gonna promise anything.
Roman: Totally understood.
Kate: [Sighs] I need a drink.
Roman: I'll be right back.
Eugenia: So have we figured out what Sami's up to yet?
Kate: Oh, no. But she is up to something.
Lucas: Excuse me, everybody. If I could have your attention real quick... I really do appreciate you all being here, especially since I know you all have so much going on right now. But maybe we should wrap up the party and call it a night. It is getting kind of late.
Sami: What? No. No. Um, no. None of you can leave -- not yet.
Frankie: Jack, I don't trust Lockhart, either. But do you really think that he'd hurt Jennifer?
Jack: All I know is that I can't take the chance, which is why I'd like you to help look out for her.
Frankie: Okay. All right, Jack. You sound like you're going away, like you're not gonna be around.
Jack: I'm not.
Jack: I -- look, Frankie, I'm an investigative reporter. I'm gonna be on the road. I'm covering stories. I may be out of town -- time away from home. It would really put my mind at ease to know that you're here looking after the woman I -- well, looking after the woman... the woman we both care a great deal about. What do you say? Can you do that? Can I count on you?
Frankie: Yeah, Jack, you can count on me.
Jack: Great. Thank you. That puts my mind at ease.
Billie: Patrick, answer me. What the hell were you doing?
Max: It seems I overheard your friend talking about something he doesn't want anybody else to know.
Billie: What was that?
Max: From what I heard, he's worried about doing a job, especially if it means hurting someone he really cares about.
Billie: Patrick, Patrick, what is this all about? What's going on?
Patrick: You know, Billie, I'll talk to you later, okay?
Patrick: And you just remember what I said, all right?
Billie: Are you okay?
Max: Yeah, I'm fine.
Billie: I'll get to the bottom of this. Patrick!
Billie: I want to know what's going on. What was max talking about? What was this job? Have you been contacted by Tony or anyone in the DiMera Organization?
Patrick: No, no, it's nothing like that. Wow, those burgers smell good, huh? You know, we should crash Jack's barbecue. Let's go do that.
Jennifer: This is perfect. We were just about to eat. Where you running off to in such a hurry?
Chelsea: Oh, actually, Abs and I were just about to catch a movie with a few friends, and we're running late already.
Abby: We gotta go, mom.
Jennifer: Why don't you stay and eat?
Abby: Mom, I'll call you later.
Billie: Where are those guys going?
Jennifer: They said they were going to the movies, but they're acting strange.
Patrick: You know teenagers.
Jennifer: Yes, only too well. I'm glad you're here. How are you?
Patrick: Thanks for having me. Hope we're not crashing your barbecue.
Jennifer: No, you're not.
Billie: We knew he was very hungry.
Patrick: It looks like you got a lot of stuff.
Jennifer: It's good to see you. Yes, we have tons.
Jack: This guy's like a bad rash -- just keeps coming back. It's bad. It's really bad.
Chelsea: Oh, my God, that was close.
Max: Hey, girls, what's up? I hope you're here to invite me to that big barbecue I've been hearing about.
Chelsea: Max, you have to help me. I'm seriously in so much trouble.
Max: What's going on?
Chelsea: Me and Abby were in my new car, and we got caught speeding. This cop started after us, and he chased us all the way back here. Now he's looking for us.
Abby: He's looking for you, Chelsea. He might just be right down the street.
Max: Hold on a second. You didn't pull over -- you ran from the cops?
Chelsea: I was scared. I didn't know what to do.
Max: You pull over. Do you know how much trouble you're in?
Abby: More than you know. She was driving without insurance.
Chelsea: I can't afford any.
Abby: If she gets arrested, she'll lose the car and her license.
Chelsea: Please, you have to help me. Seriously, that car is my life. I need it to get to school in the fall, and I need it to get to work.
Max: Okay, calm down, okay? I'll go talk to him.
Chelsea: I know you can fix this. You're Max Brady. Maybe if you just give him an autograph, he'll forget about the whole thing.
Max: Somehow, I doubt it's gonna be that easy, but I'll see what I can do, okay?
Chelsea: Thank God Max was here. I know he can get us out of this.
Abby: You know what? If he does, it's more than you deserve. You could have gotten us both killed. Haven't you learned a thing from what happened to your parents?
Chelsea: I'm sorry. You're right. I don't know what I was thinking.
Abby: You weren't thinking. And now you may have gotten Max into trouble, too.
Max: What seems to be the problem, officer?
Cop: I'm looking for Chelsea Benson. You know her?
Max: As a matter of fact, I do.
Cop: Do you know where she is? Her vehicle out there was just involved in a high-speed chase. Along with speeding, she's wanted for reckless endangerment, attempting to elude police.
Max: Um, actually, officer, Miss Benson wasn't driving the car. I was. It was me.
Sami: Wait a second. You can't leave yet. You haven't had cake. There's plenty of it.
Lucas: Will you stop? You're being ridiculous. What do you think you're doing?
Sami: No, Lucas, listen to me. I explained to you already I wanted to give you a birthday you'll never forget.
Lucas: I explained to you that it's not gonna work. You can't give me presents and throw a party for me and expect us to get back together. Accept it, Sami -- we're over.
Sami: No, Lucas, I won't accept it. You have to give me another chance.
Kate: Why should he, Sami? You cheated on him. You betrayed his love, his trust.
Kate: No, your daughter needs to hear it, because what you did was unforgivable. Lucas was the best thing that ever happened to you, but you just couldn't see that. You destroyed what you had, the way you destroy everything you touch.
Sami: That is not true.
Lucas: It is true. Sami, you lied to me. You lied to me even after I caught you. I begged you to tell me the truth, and you said you were innocent. Then you said you just didn't know how you innocently ended up in bed with Brandon. What's that all about?
Sami: You're right. You're right. I lied. I'm sorry, Lucas. I'm so sorry.
Lucas: So it's true. You've just been lying from the very beginning -- is that it?
Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, as much as I didn't want to believe it, it is true -- you did sleep with Brandon.
Sami: Well, congratulations, Kate. You got what you wanted, right? You made sure that Lucas and I could never be together.
Kate: No. No, you did that. You did that all on your own, because you had a chance to mend your ways, but you didn't take it. You're still the same self-destructive, childish little girl you've always been.
Roman: Sami... how in the hell could you do this?
Sami: Dad, please don't hate me.
Roman: Come here. I could never hate you. Do you understand that? But can you see how disappointed I am in you?
Sami: Well, you should be. I have done a lot of horrible things, not just to Lucas, but to Kate, too. And I already admitted to you that I've been awful to her lately, but...I didn't tell you that I've been awful to her for a long time. While you were gone and she was trying to keep her promise to you, trying to keep the peace, I wouldn’t. I made her life a living hell.
Roman: All right, Kate, I gotta say, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I ever doubted you.
Kate: Yeah, well, I know you just wanted to believe your daughter.
Roman: Well, I think the best thing for us to do is just to get out of here.
Kate: Yeah, I think so, too. Let me get my purse.
Kate: We won.
Julie: Lucas, I'm so sorry.
Lucas: That's all right. I'm sorry you guys had to be here to see all that. I'm just glad Gran wasn't here. I'm glad she left early.
Maggie: If you need to talk, call me, please?
Lucas: Yeah, you know I will.
Roman: Well, Kate, let's go.
Sami: Um, just a second. I got Lucas a birthday gift. And I think it's something you should all see.
Max: I'm really sorry, officer. A friend of mine had mentioned -- a friend of mine had mentioned that, um, she was having problems with her car, and I know a little bit about cars, so I offered to take a look at it and see if I could figure out what the problem was. Uh, maybe it's a faulty speedometer. I didn't know how fast I was going.
Cop: And you didn't realize you were being pursued by the police?
Max: No, no, and I'm really sorry. The windows were rolled up, the A.C. was going, the radio was blaring.
Cop: That is hardly an excuse.
Max: I know. I know.
Cop: Let me see your license and proof of insurance. Now.
Cop: Max Brady. You're Max Brady, the race-car driver?
Max: [Chuckles] Yeah, guilty as charged.
Chelsea: See, I told you he'd get us out of this.
Abby: Now Max can get a ticket or worse. He'll have points on his record. What if that affects his status with his race-car circuit?
Chelsea: I seriously doubt it. Speeding's what they do.
Abby: You were more than just speeding, Chelsea. Max is taking a huge risk for you.
Chelsea: Don't worry -- he'll be fine. Believe me, I'll repay him for his trouble.
Abby: Repay him how?
Chelsea: By finally giving him what he wants -- my virginity.
Billie: Well, we have to feed him, right? He's a growing boy.
Jack: That bastard's got the nerve to show up here again. You see, I look like the bad guy for pointing that out. Frankie, I'm telling you --
Frankie: Jack, take it easy. The last thing he needs right now is more sympathy from your wife.
Jennifer: Hey, guys, there you are.
Jennifer: You ready to eat?
Jack: Oh, yeah, I just gotta make sure the burgers are heated up. They're heated up, all right.
Billie: Jack, are you burning these?
Jack: No, but I am burning. What the hell is Lockhart doing here?
Billie: He's with me. Jack, come on. I'm sorry, I know you're not a fan, but I couldn't be rude.
Jack: You could be rude. There's something about that guy that reeks of DiMera still. And I'm not comfortable having him here.
Billie: I know what this is about. You just don't want him around Jennifer for the time when you won't be --
Jack: Yeah, the time when I won't be around. That's exactly right. Because Jennifer doesn't get it. She's totally snowed by the guy, just like every other woman in Salem. I don't know what it is about him. He's like a White Knight who can do no wrong. Nothing sticks -- he's Teflon. He's Mr. Teflon Superhero.
Billie: Hey, Jack, calm down, okay? He might just be a little bit of a hero.
Frankie: Well, looks like we're all set.
Jennifer: Mm-hmm. Oh, the piccalilli relish. I can't forget that.
Patrick: Look, Frankie, I'm glad we could get a couple minutes together. Um, you gotta do something about your little brother, man. I don't like the way he's treating Chelsea.
Frankie: Yeah, well, I thought they were getting along just fine.
Patrick: Just know if he hurts her, he'll have me to answer to.
Frankie: Is that some kind of threat?
Patrick: Let's just say Max has been warned, and if you care about your little brother, you'll let him know I'm watching him.
Frankie: I'm watching you... every move you make.
Billie: Jack, I know you're worried about Jennifer. But the best thing you can do for her is tell her the truth about your condition, give her time to prepare.
Jack: No, I'm not gonna do that. I'm not gonna do that at all. The best thing I can do right now, after all she's suffered, is to let her enjoy the last couple of days that we have together.
Billie: And when that time comes?
Jack: When that time comes, I'm gonna rest assured knowing that she's okay because she'll have someone -- someone of my choosing -- taking care of her.
Max: I know that because I'm a professional athlete, that doesn't mean I'm above the law.
Cop: You got that right, which is why I'm gonna write you a ticket.
Abby: Have you completely lost it? You can't have sex with Max.
Chelsea: Why not? It would be good practice for when I finally get with Patrick.
Abby: Why can't you just thank him for helping you? You know, get to know him a little bit better before jumping in bed with him and giving him your virginity. Who knows? Maybe something real could happen.
Chelsea: "Something real" is for with Patrick, not Max.
Abby: Fine. Then why not save it for Patrick if you really feel that way? Chelsea, having sex for the first time, giving a guy your virginity -- that's huge. You should wait for the right time and the right person, not just use it as some payback for helping you get out of trouble.
Chelsea: Look, I don't have time for this. That cop is finally gone, and I need to go thank Max... in my own way.
Chelsea: I heard what you did. You took a huge bullet for me, Max.
Max: It's just a ticket. But still, if this gets out, I will be crucified by the press.
Chelsea: I'm sorry.
Max: You owe me big time, you know that?
Chelsea: Absolutely. Look, um, why don't we go somewhere and talk about how I can make it up to you?
Max: Sounds like a great idea.
Jack: Bear with me -- this is just gonna take a minute.
Jennifer: We barely finished eating, and it's a beautiful evening.
Jack: We're gonna enjoy it inside with the brownies. You'll enjoy the show better.
Jennifer: What show?
Jack: You're gonna love it, Jennifer. You too, Frankie.
Jennifer: What is going on?
Jack: Get ready. Lights out. Now sit down and enjoy the Horton home movies.
Jennifer: Oh, my goodness. What in the world?
Frankie: You sure you made these?
Jennifer: I'm gonna tell Alice on you. [Gasps] Oh, my goodness.
[Ben E. King's "stand by me" plays]
Jennifer: I completely forgot that we had these.
Frankie: I remember your grandfather taking these movies.
Billie: Nice do, Jen.
Jennifer: I know. That was the style. Look at my dress, Billie. Where did you find these?
Jack: I was cleaning out the garage, and I found them. I just thought you two would enjoy seeing them.
Jennifer: Oh, my goodness. It seems like a million years ago.
No, I won't be afraid
oh, I won't be afraid
just as long as you stand...
Jennifer: That was quite a night, wasn't it, Frankie?
Frankie: Sure was.
Jennifer: These are so funny.
Billie: You are making a big mistake, Jack.
Jack: Look at them, Billie. Look at them -- they are loving it. Having the time of their lives reliving their first love. That's the love that's gonna protect her when I am gone. It has to.
Patrick: Forget it. I've made up my mind. There's no way I'll do it. I can't and I won't hurt her -- not now, not ever.
Kate: Sami, the party's gone on long enough. It's over. We want to go.
Sami: I told you, Kate, I got a special birthday gift for Lucas, and I think it's something you all should see.
Lucas: Come on, Sami, really.
Sami: Lucas, please. Open it. I worked really hard to get it for you. It's not just from me -- it's from will, too. Look, if you want me to leave after you've opened it, I will. I promise.
Eugenia: I'm gonna have to take this.
Lucas: Cassettes? What are these of?
Sami: Well, guess again, loser. This is it. And now I just have to figure out how to get those tapes.
Sami: Well, why don't you play one, hear it?
Belle: I don't know what's going on here, but something tells me it's not good.
Lucas: What, right now? You want me to play it right now?
Sami: Yeah, I do. I think it's something that everyone's gonna want to hear.
Sami: Lucas, your mother is a two-faced lying bitch.
Belle: You and I are not gonna have a future together.
Shawn D.: Nothing you say is gonna change my mind.
Philip: You two have nothing to worry about, because it's over.
Tony: "Abandon Hope, all ye who enter here."
Bo: Hope, come back to me!
