Jack: Just set it down right there.

Jennifer: A little mint for Gram and aunt Maggie. Here we go, ladies. Iced tea with mint.

Maggie: Thank you very much. I am sorry that you had to move the picnic indoors, but Alice and I are just delighted to be the beneficiaries.

Jennifer: I am so glad you could be, too.

Jack: Oh, listen, you should have come to the race track. You should have joined us.

Maggie: Well, I think it would have been a little too noisy for us, but I'm sure it was exciting.

Abby: It was incredible, aunt Maggie. Max came from behind to win. It was so cool.

Maggie: Oh, great.

[Doorbell rings]

Jack: Oh, I'll get that. Just a minute. Oh, Marlena.

Marlena: Hello.

Jack: Glad you could make it.

Marlena: Me too. With John and Belle away, I'm feeling a little bit lonely.

Jack: We're glad that you're here. Let me get that for you. And, uh, listen. If you got a couple minutes later, maybe you and I could talk, if you get some time alone.

Marlena: Of course.

Jack: Good.

Marlena: Hello.

Jennifer: Hey! It's so good to see you.

Marlena: It's so good to see you.

Jennifer: I hate to just go right into this, but do you have any news from Germany?

Marlena: Well, in fact, John said that Philip is being very strong.

Jack: Good.

Jennifer: Wow, I just really can't get over what happened to him, but his mom is there, and Belle is there with him.

Marlena: We're just so glad he's alive.

Jennifer: Yeah, of course.

Marlena: Now, I heard that Max Brady's in town. Is that right?

Maggie: Yes, he is! And he is a race car driver. Can you imagine?

Marlena: Well, I told Bo and Roman that he was here, and I'm sure they'll be glad to see their little brother. Where -- where is he?

Abby: He volunteered to get the ice cream. My friend Chelsea went with him.

Marlena: Oh. Thank you.

Jennifer: They've been gone quite a while -- I wonder what's taking them so long.

Abby: I've been wondering the same thing. The way Chelsea came on to Max, I hope she's not doing something stupid.

Chelsea: Um...

Max: Something wrong?

Chelsea: Um, I think you're getting the wrong idea about me.

Max: I was thinking we already had the same idea.

Chelsea: I don't think we should go any further.

Max: It seemed like you wanted to earlier.

Chelsea: Well, wanting to is one thing, and actually doing it is something else.

Max: That's okay. That's cool. I don't need to push myself on girls. So, what do you say we get that ice cream, huh?

Max: [Chuckles] Oh, man.

Chelsea: What?

Max: I just read you all wrong, that's all.

Chelsea: What do you mean?

Max: You're beautiful, you're sexy as hell, and I thought you wanted to have a good time. But I guess not.

[Clears throat]

Abby: Please don't get in over your head, Chelsea.

Jennifer: Okay.

Jack: Okay, looks like you got everything under control. I'm just gonna check and make sure Lockhart's really packing.

Jennifer: No, Jack, please. Please donít.

Jack: I want him gone, Jennifer.

Jennifer: He's going. He is. If it will make you feel better, I'll go talk to him, okay?

Jack: Fine. Fine.

Jennifer: Hey, there.

Patrick: Hey.

Jennifer: Looks like you could use a little break.

Patrick: Thanks. Just what I needed.

Jennifer: Wow, I didn't even realize you had so much stuff.

Patrick: [Chuckles] Yeah, I didn't either. I mean, somewhere along the line, I became a pack rat. I didn't even know it. I think living here just made me start thinking about putting down some roots, you know?

Jennifer: Yeah. You know, I just want to tell you, it's been wonderful having you here. And you were really a tremendous help to me with the kids while Jack was gone.

Patrick: Ah, you know I was happy to do it. I just [Sighs] I just hope we can remain friends.

Jennifer: I don't see why not.

Patrick: Come on, Jen. Be honest. Your husband doesn't want me anywhere near you.

Jennifer: Yeah, but you just need to give him time, Patrick. He doesn't know you. When he knows you like I know you -- whoa! Oh.

Jack: Jennifer, how do I -- get your hands off my wife... now.

Bonnie: I feel I'm in a bad movie. Why is this happening to me?

Mimi: It isn't happening to you. It's happening to me.

Bonnie: You think it's gonna be easy, sitting here, watching my youngest, my very precious little girl get sent off to prison.

Mimi: Mom, we knew this was gonna happen.

Bonnie: Mickey, please. Isn't there something you can do?

Mickey: Bonnie, listen. Your daughter pled guilty, and she fired me as her attorney. I'm afraid this might be a done deal.

Mimi: Which is exactly why I didn't want anyone here today. But I knew I'd never hear the end of it if I didn't let mom know the sentencing had been moved up.

Mickey: Mimi, dear, you have to know that your mother and I are both on your side.

Bonnie: Patrick is, too. And he should be here.

Mimi: No. God, it's bad enough having you see my humiliation. I don't need Patrick to see it, too. Thank God Rex isn't here.

Bonnie: Don't thank him just yet.

Kate: What is it with you? I told you to get out!

John: Easy, easy.

Shawn D.: Philip already saw me. He asked me why I was here and what was going on between Belle and me.

Kate: And you told him what?

Belle: He had to go for tests before Shawn could answer him.

Shawn D.: I'm gonna tell him.

Kate: Like hell you are.

Shawn D.: It's the right thing to do. I don't even want to argue.

Kate: Then why don't you just leave?

Belle: Look, Kate's right. Please don't do this.

Kate: If you're not gonna pay attention to me, at least listen to Belle.

Kate: [Scoffs] God, John, please. Please get him out of here.

John: I'm sorry, Kate. I agree with Shawn.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.

Kate: How can you say that? The last thing Philip needs right now is to hear that his former best friend is trying to steal his wife.

John: You can't keep protecting him. He's gonna find out sooner or later.

Kate: Okay, then I prefer later -- much later.

John: I think you're underestimating your son. He can deal with this.

Shawn D.: Thank you, John.

John: Don't thank me, kiddo. I'm not on your side.

Kate: Really?

John: I'm on Philip's side. The last thing he needs right now is to see all of us walking around on eggshells.

Kate: Philip just lost a leg. That's an enormous blow. I think what he needs is support.

John: The man is a marine. He's tough as nails. He and Shawn need to have this out right now.

Kate: Can I talk to you for a minute alone?

Kate: I don't -- I-I-I just don't understand this. I don't understand why you're going to let Shawn hurt Philip this way.

John: You think I want to see Philip get hurt? He's gonna really be hurt if he finds out his mother and his wife have been lying to him.

Kate: [Sighs] God. I don't know how we can be seeing things so differently. I don't -- ever since Roman and Marlena left, we've seen eye to eye on pretty much everything, John.

John: This is different.

Kate: I've come to count on you. And I'm counting on you now. Please, please get Shawn out of that room before Philip comes back.

Shawn D.: I'm gonna talk to Philip. I have to.

Belle: Even though I'm asking you not to?

Shawn D.: I hear what you're saying, and I don't want to hurt him, but we cannot keep lying to him. I have to do this today.

Belle: Why?

Shawn D.: Because I am afraid if I get back on that plane to Salem without telling him the truth...that I'm gonna lose you forever.

Jennifer: Jack, please, he just kept me from being flattened by those boxes.

Jack: Is that what he was doing, huh?

Jennifer: Patrick, I'm sorry. I'm so clumsy.

Patrick: I shouldn't have piled them so high -- it's fine.

Jack: No, you should put your shirt on in the presence of a lady. Don't look at him. The guy's half naked. He's using any excuse he can just to put his arms around you.

Jennifer: Patrick, you'll have to forgive Jack. He seems to think that every man can't resist me. Will you stop it? It's hot in here. That's why he has his shirt off.

Jack: He's conning you. You don't see that?

Patrick: If you have a problem with me, that's fine. Don't take it out on Jennifer.

Jack: You don't tell me how to behave with my wife. You got that?

Patrick: Yeah.

Jack: And go put your shirt on.

Jennifer: Jack.

Jack: Sorry.

Jennifer: Just -- all right. Just relax, okay? Just relax.

Jack: I'm sorry -- no, I'm not sorry. He rubs me the wrong way, shirt or no shirt.

Jennifer: I understand that. You don't like him. Okay, but you have got to understand what a tremendous help he was to me with our children when I thought that I had lost you forever.

Jack: Is that supposed to make me feel better? I hate it. I hate it. I hate the idea that he was here taking my place.

Jennifer: What? Jack, look at me. He was not taking your place. No one could take your place. I mean that. Look at me. You are here, and you are home. And Patrick is moving out. I promise you that. I promise you, Jack.

Jack: Come on, Lexie. This is me. Give me the straight deal. Come on, I can handle it. Am I dying?

Lexie: In situations like this, I always advise getting a second opinion.

Jack: Wh-- wait a minute. You can't even say it.

Jack: [Chuckles] You can't even say it. Come on, tell me how long. At least manage that much. How many damn years do I have left? What? What -- we're talking months, weeks? Talk to me.

Lexie: If I had to guess, uh, maybe three months.

Jennifer: Jack. Jack. What is wrong?

Jack: Nothing, nothing. I, uh... I, uh... I just -- I just need to kiss my wife. That's all. I just need to kiss my wife.

Jennifer: I love you.

Jack: Mmm.

Jennifer: Jack. You have no idea -- no idea how happy I am to have you home and to have my family back again.

Jack: Nobody appreciates having their family back as much as I do -- nobody.

Jennifer: I know. We are so lucky. And just think -- we have so many things to look forward to. You know that? So much to look forward to.

Bonnie: Rex, I'm so glad you're here. Mimi needs you.

Mimi: Mom...

Bonnie: Make her change her plea -- temporary insanity. I don't care. We just got to find a way to keep her out of prison.

Mickey: Hey, come here.

Mimi: You shouldn't have come here.

Rex: Like you were gonna keep me away.

Mimi: Why are you here?

Rex: Because I love you, Mimi, and I'm not giving up on you. Whatever sentence you get, I'm gonna wait for you.

Mimi: Rex...

All rise. The Honorable Judge Karen Fitzpatrick presiding.

Judge Fitzpatrick: Please be seated. I've reviewed the district attorney's recommendation for sentencing, as well as the many letters from the defendant's family and friends. I must say, a great many people believe in your innocence, Ms. Lockhart. However, you pleaded guilty to attempted murder, and after due deliberation, I've made my decision. Will the defendant please rise?

Patrick: Mom, I'm worried about Mimi. You said you'd let me know about her court date. That's the last I heard from you, so give me a call and let me know what's going on.

Abby: Hey, Patrick.

Patrick: Hey, what's up?

Abby: Chelsea and Max aren't back yet.

Patrick: From getting ice cream?

Abby: That's where they said they were going.

Patrick: [Chuckles]

Abby: What?

Patrick: Well, Chelsea seemed pretty impressed with that guy.

Abby: You noticed that, too. So, where do you think they are?

Patrick: Well, knowing Chelsea, I'm sure she insisted they take the long way home so everyone in town could see her with Max in the convertible.

Abby: [Sighs] I hope that's all they're doing.

Chelsea: [Sighs] What is my problem? I'm with Max Brady. He's every girl's fantasy, and I'm acting like some 12-year-old. Um...

Max: Something wrong?

Chelsea: [Sighs] What is my problem?

[Footsteps approach]

Max: All right. You ready?

Chelsea: That was fast.

Max: Yeah. We better get back to Jennifer's before that melts, huh? Chelsea... Chelsea...

Chelsea: Sorry, what?

Max: We're cool, right? I mean, no hard feelings about before.

Chelsea: Oh, no. We're cool.

Max: Okay.

Chelsea: But wait. Um, before we go, there's something I want to ask you.

Max: Okay.

Chelsea: It's kind of personal.

Marlena: Alice is making her corn bread.

Maggie: Oh, I can make a whole meal out of that.

Jennifer: Well, Jack's feelings will be hurt. He thinks you're all here for his hamburgers.

Maggie: [Laughter] Hi, sweetie. No Max and Chelsea yet? Well, I guess he's not such a fast driver after all.

Abby: Oh, I bet he's fast.

Maggie: When you talked to Max, did he mention anything about his big brother?

Jennifer: Oh -- Frankie. No, I really didn't get to ask him much.

Marlena: The two of you were inseparable in high school, weren't you?

Jennifer: Yeah, we were, huh.

Abby: Were you and Frankie that serious, mom?

Jennifer: Well, at the time, yeah.

Maggie: Oh, your mom was a heartbreaker when she was your age.

Jennifer: Aunt Maggie, not really.

Abby: No, no, tell me. I want to know what you were like back then.

Jennifer: I was a typical teenager. And I was so in love with Frankie Brady. Or at least I thought so. It was really completely innocent...which is the way it's supposed to be in high school. Do you hear those words?

Maggie: [Chuckles] I still have a hard time thinking of Max Brady as a sex symbol.

Jennifer: I know. It really is unbelievable. He was the shyest little guy.

Abby: Not anymore.

Maggie: But didn't he have -- wait a minute, now. I remember some kind of problems, emotional or something?

Jennifer: Yeah, that's right. I'd forgotten about that.

Marlena: He didn't speak.

Maggie: Oh, that's right.

Marlena: And then when he and Frankie moved in with Shawn and Caroline, that's when he found his voice.

Jennifer: Oh, you have a good memory, Marlena. Oh, my goodness, the buns. Jack likes to toast them. I completely forgot.

Marlena: Let me take them.

Jennifer: Thank you.

Marlena: Uh-huh.

Jennifer: All righty.

Maggie: I don't know about you, but I'm getting hungry!

Jennifer: I am, too.

Abby: Do you think dad needs any help?

Jennifer: Oh, sweetie, no. The grill is daddy's domain. No help wanted or allowed. You know that.

Abby: I can't believe the outfit he's wearing.

Jennifer: I know. I know. It's really so great to have your dad back, isn't it?

Abby: The best, mom.

Jennifer: And he is home for good. I am never gonna let your dad leave us ever again. Not ever.

Jack: [Coughs]

Marlena: Jack, Jen said that you would want these.

Jack: Oh, yeah, thanks.

Marlena: Goodness. You, uh, wanted to talk to me?

Jack: Yeah, I, uh... look, there's -- this stays strictly between you and me, okay?

Marlena: All right.

Jack: I'm dying.

Marlena: What?

Jack: I'm dying. I haven't been feeling well for a while, and I've been seeing Lexie about it. So I'm dying.

Marlena: Oh, my gosh, Jack. I don't know what to say. I'm...I'm so sorry. Jen -- Jen seems fine.

Jack: That's because I haven't told her.

Marlena: No, no, no. She's your wife.

Jack: I can't tell her, Marlena. I don't know how to tell her.

Jack: Lexie ran some tests, diagnostic, and, well, they just found this rare blood disorder. Nobody knows what it is or how I got it. Maybe I got infected on the island. Maybe it happened when tony was holding me hostage in that castle. Maybe I got it on the way home, working back on that freighter.

Marlena: There must be treatment.

Jack: Basically, I have very few options and very little time.

Marlena: Jack, I'm so sorry.

Jack: No, I'm the one who's sorry, for laying this on you. But I got to talk to somebody. I'm worried about Jennifer. We thought we had everything together. We thought the bad times were behind us, and now this.

Marlena: This is -- it's just so hard to absorb.

Jack: We were separated for so long. The whole time tony was holding me prisoner, the thought of getting back to Jennifer kept me going, and I know you felt the same way. But you at least had Roman there to talk to, to help you through.

Marlena: There were times when I -- I couldn't hold on. I fell apart. I wanted to give up. Roman wouldn't let me. He wouldn't let me give up hope. And, Jack, you can't give up hope, either.

Jack: No... I just got to find a way to help Jennifer and the kids.

Marlena: You have to start by telling her the truth.

Jack: No, oh, no. No, no. I can't do that, can't do that.

Marlena: Jack, Jack.

Jack: No, no, that'll break their hearts. It'll break Abigail's heart. They're gonna find out eventually, but I'm not gonna tell them, for as long as I can.

Marlena: Oh, Jack, Jack... you're making a terrible mistake.

Judge Fitzpatrick: Miriam Lockhart, you've pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted murder. There was no excuse for your actions, no extenuating, mitigating circumstances.

Bonnie: I'd like to mitigate her.

Mimi: Stop it, mom.

Judge Fitzpatrick: The victim, Jan Spears, is hospitalized in a vegetative state, with little hope for improvement -- a young woman who had every reason to expect to live a long and productive life. But because of your actions, she's likely to spend her remaining years in a long-term-care facility. I take no pleasure in sentencing you, Ms. Lockhart. As I see it, two young lives have been destroyed -- yours and the victim's. But you've confessed to a brutal crime which cannot go unpunished. I therefore sentence you, Miriam Lockhart, to prison, for a period of 15 to 20 years.

Bonnie: No!

Rex: No!

Bonnie: You can't do that. My daughter's innocent!

Judge Fitzpatrick: Order! Order in the court, please!

[Gavel bangs]

Belle: Philip is suffering, Shawn. When I was suffering, after I thought my mom died, he was there for me.

Shawn D.: And I wasnít. Yes, I know.

Belle: I'm just saying Philip has been really good to me. And it wasn't so long ago that I thought I was gonna spend the rest of my life with him. I just can't do this to him right now.

Shawn D.: So the hell with what you and I want, is that it? Would you talk to me here? 'Cause I'm getting a really bad feeling.

Kate: You think Philip is so strong. Do you honestly think he's going to be able to recover from this injury without the love and the support of his wife?

John: I just think that you and I need to stay out of this thing.

Kate: And would you feel the same way if he were your son?

John: Kate, come on. I think the world of Philip. And the fact is, he is my son-in-law. They're not kids anymore. We can't go around fixing everything for them forever.

Kate: All I'm asking you to do is to stop Shawn from adding emotional pain to the physical pain that he's already feeling. If...if you just get him out of the room before Philip comes back, please -- please, can you just do me that favor?

John: [Sighs]

Belle: I am not asking you. I am begging you. Please, go.

John: Shawn, Belle and Kate don't want you here, so come on. Let me take you to the airport.

Shawn D.: John, please. I want to talk to Philip. I think he wants to talk to me.

Kate: How many different ways do we have to say this? You are not wanted here.

John: Let's go. Out now. Come on.

Philip: Hey. You're not leaving, are you?

Shawn D.: That's up to you.

Philip: Well, good, 'cause I'd like you to stay. I have some questions about you and my wife.

Max: Okay, so, what's your question?

Chelsea: How many girlfriends have you had?

Max: Truthfully? A lot.

Chelsea: Like too many to count?

Max: Maybe.

Chelsea: Have any of them been serious?

Max: No, no, not really.

[Clears throat]

Chelsea: I figured.

Max: I just haven't met the right one yet, okay? And I'm sure she's out there somewhere. What about you? Have you found a guy that you want to spend the rest of your life with?

Chelsea: Well, there is this one guy. But...

Max: But...

Chelsea: But he doesn't really know that I exist.

Max: He is blind. He must be blind.

Chelsea: No, he's just older.

Max: It's tough, kid.

Chelsea: I'm not a kid.

Max: Okay, sorry.

Chelsea: I'm 18 years old, Max. That makes me a woman.

Max: You have to admit, you were acting like a kid with me earlier, okay? I mean, it just seemed like you were a little afraid.

Chelsea: I'm not afraid. Is that what you think? Keep going straight.

Max: Why?

Chelsea: Just do it. Drive to the end of the road.

Max: Are you sure? 'Cause if I remember correctly, this dead-ends at the lake.

Chelsea: Mm-hmm.

Max: Salem's other make-out spot? Used to be called "the petting zoo"?

Chelsea: It still is.

Max: [Chuckles]

Jack: Wait. Wait, let me show you something. Here. We just took a new photo. I want to show you that. It's all four of us, all smiling. Look at that. Jennifer, Abigail, even baby Jack.

Marlena: It's a beautiful, happy family, Jack.

Jack: If they can hold onto that happiness, just for a few more months, I'll know that I've done the right thing. I'll know that -- I don't want to take that away from them -- not yet.

Marlena: You asked me to be your sounding board. I'll tell you what I know. Jennifer loves you so. Jack, don't you think you owe it to her to tell her what's happening with you?

Jack: I don't know. She's been through such hell in the last year. She -- she's just starting to get right again. She's looking forward. She's surrounded by her family. She's got her friends back -- like you. She's got you back. That's important. I don't want to spoil that -- not now, not yet.

Marlena: What if you die suddenly, Jack? What if you die suddenly and she doesn't have any warning?

Jack: Oh, no, no, no.

Marlena: Jack... what if she loses you, and she's not prepared? Do you have any idea what that would do to her?

(Gentle acoustic guitar music)

Rex: Sweetheart, wake up.

Bonnie: Mimi, are you okay? Could somebody please get her some water?!

Mimi: Oh, my God, Rex. I just had the worst nightmare that I was going to jail and I would never see you again. Thank God it's -- mom. Mickey? What --

Judge Fitzpatrick: Order, please! If Ms. Lockhart is all right --

Mickey: You fainted, dear.

Mimi: Oh, my God, it's real. It's real.

Bonnie: Shh, shh.

Mickey: Your honor, with all due respect, may I request that you reconsider your sentence?

Judge Fitzpatrick: I'd like to remind the court that Mr. Horton is no longer attorney of record in this case.

Mickey: That's true, but since Ms. Lockhart is no longer represented, please allow me to argue that this sentence is very excessive. And may I also remind you that she has no prior criminal record?

Judge Fitzpatrick: I took that into consideration, Mr. Horton. The sentence stands. Please be seated. Ms. Lockhart, before you begin serving your time, is there anything you wish to say?

Mimi: All I can say is that I'm truly sorry, your honor, 'cause I never meant to hurt anyone... especially the people that I love.

Mickey: Mimi, there are still legal steps that I can take. Your mother and I are not giving up on this.

Bonnie: Stay strong, sweetheart. This isn't the end of the story.

Mimi: I love you, mom, and I'm -- I'm sorry that I put you through all of this. Rex...

Rex: Let's go.

Mimi: But --

Rex: No.

Rex: Mimi, I love you. I'll always love you.

Philip: Out with it, Shawn. Let's hear it.

Kate: Sweetie, I don't think this is the time. You need to rest.

Belle: The last thing you need to do is fight with Shawn.

Philip: Nobody's fighting, sweetheart. We're just gonna have a man-to-man talk. Why did you come to Germany? Because you're a concerned friend or because you love my wife?

Kate: Oh, no, we need to stop this.

John: It's too late.

Philip: So, tell me, Shawn. I deserve to know.

Shawn D.: When I organized that rescue mission, I did it for Belle, because she was going through hell... and because I wanted her back.

Marlena: Jack, when Jennifer finds out what you're going through and that you never told her, that's only going to add to her pain. She's your wife. She's your partner, the person you chose to go through your life with -- through the good and the bad. She has a right to know what you're going through. She has a right to try to help you with it.

Jack: Right now I'm more concerned with how I can help her. I'm trying to protect all of them. That's what this is all about -- me helping my wife and children.

Marlena: I see how important that is to you, Jack.

Jack: If I could just come back as a -- as a, uh, uh, a guardian angel or something like that, if I could come back and just put my arms around them and just keep them safe, it would be okay then if I died. It would be -- I sound pretty ridiculous, don't I?

Marlena: No. You sound like a man who loves his family so.

Jack: [Sighs] I -- I think the world-famous burgers are ready.

Marlena: Jack, wait a second. Let me tell you one more thing. The longer you keep this from your family, the harder it's going to be to tell them.

Jailer: Here you are -- home, sweet home -- till they transfer you to Statesville.

[Door locks]

[Indistinct speaking in distance]

Mimi: [Crying] What am I gonna do? I haven't been locked up five minutes, and I'm already a wreck. I just want to go home.

Jailer: Hey, Lockhart! You've got a visitor.

Mimi: Tell my mother I don't want to see her.

Jailer: Your mother ain't a guy, is she? You want to see the gentleman or not? Hey!

Jennifer: Wait, we canít.

Jack: All right, come and get it. Get the Devereaux burgers while they're hot.

Jennifer: "Kiss the cook." All right, I'll kiss the cook.

Jack: Okay, that's a deal.

Jennifer: Oh, wait. Hey, come on. Dig in.

Patrick: Thanks. I'm not very hungry.

Jennifer: Oh, yes, you are. You're always hungry, and you cannot leave until you try one of Jack's special burgers. They're incredible. Here you go. Jack...

Jack: Have a wiener.

Patrick: Thanks. That looks great. How about a burger, too?

Jack: Yeah. How about a burger, too?

Jennifer: Okay. All right, I'll have one.

Jack: Good, good. Especially for you.

Jennifer: Ooh, Jack Devereaux strikes again.

Jack: Yes, and he does.

Maggie: If Max doesn't get here soon, there won't be any food left, or especially burgers.

Abby: Food's probably the last thing on his mind.

Jennifer: Oh, sweetie. You don't have to worry. They'll be here very soon.

Alice: Well, I'm not so sure about that. I seem to remember when you and Frankie were that age. You missed a lot of family picnics...just because you had found that there's more exciting things to do.

Jennifer: Okay. Hmm. You know what? You know what's wrong with this family?

Jack: Your memories are too darn good. No more talk about me!

Jack: Here's to memories!

[Engine shuts down]

Max: So...why are we here?

Chelsea: Why do you think?

Max: That ice cream is gonna melt.

Chelsea: Not that fast. It's cold. And I'm not.

Max: Meaning...

Chelsea: Meaning...I'm not a kid...and I know exactly what I'm doing.

Bonnie: Why is this happening?

Mickey: Don't lose heart, honey.

Bonnie: It's just wrong, what they're doing to my baby.

Mickey: Now, wait. I am going to try some way to get Mimi out of this mess. Certainly didn't make it easy on herself, though. If only she hadnít...pled guilty.

Bonnie: Her whole life can be ruined, and for what? Because she made one stupid mistake.

Mickey: I must admit I was surprised to have the Judge hit her with such a heavy sentence.

Bonnie: So much of this is my fault. No, I gave her bad advice from the get-go.

Mickey: Listen, when children grow up, we can't always protect them.

Mickey: I need you so much. If it hadn't been for you, I don't know how I would have gotten through this. Just promise me you'll never leave me. My poor Meems. She doesn't deserve a mother like me.

Bonnie: [Crying] And she sure doesn't deserve to go to prison. Oh, Mickey.

Mickey: Bonnie, Bonnie.

Jailer: 10 minutes!

Mimi: You shouldn't have come here.

Rex: I had to, Mimi. It killed me not being able to hold you when we were in court.

Mimi: Well, you're gonna have to get used to it, because you can't hold me anymore. This is the last time that we're ever gonna see each other.

Kate: This has got to stop. You have to leave him alone.

Philip: You're not helping. I need to talk to Shawn. This is between the two of us, and in fact it might be better if you and John left.

Kate: Philip --

Philip: Mom! Please.

John: Come on. Let's let them work it out.

Kate: If Belle and Shawn break his heart, I will never forgive them.

Shawn D.: I will admit to you that part of my reason for wanting to rescue you was selfish, but she was a basket case while you were being held hostage, man. Seeing you on television, tied up, beaten and bruised... that was difficult for all of us, but that was especially hard on her. So I thought, if it was at all possible for me to rescue you and bring you home safely... that she and I might have a chance.

Philip: Why would you think that, man? We're married.

Shawn D.: But you shouldn't be, because... I love her. And I have never stopped loving her. And I won't apologize for wanting her back.

Max: Okay, you were right. You are definitely not a kid. But if we don't stop now, then --

Chelsea: Then what?

Max: Are you sure you want to do this?

Chelsea: Don't I look sure?

Maggie: Oh, that was so delicious.

Alice: There is nothing like grilled burgers and, oh, dogs.

Jennifer: So good. Thank you all for coming. This was really fun, huh? All right, here we go.

Marlena: Oh, my gosh, I'm so stuffed.

Jack: Ditto.

Alice: I left a little room for ice cream.

Jennifer: Well, I hope you'll settle for brownies, Gram.

[Doorbell rings]

Abby: Oh, it must be Max and Chelsea. I'll get it.

Frankie: Hi.

Abby: Hi.

Jennifer: Abby, who is it, honey?

Jennifer: [Gasps] What?! Oh, my gosh! Frankie! Oh, my gosh. Frankie, how are you?

Frankie: Great.

Jennifer: It is so good to see you. This is the best surprise.

Max: Why did you follow me to Salem? Are you checking up on me?

Frankie: When I heard you were here, I knew it was only a matter of time before you go into trouble, and I was right.

Chelsea: What is this really about -- are you jealous of me?

Marlena: Tell Jennifer the truth about your condition.

Jack: I canít.

Philip: Who do you want to spend your future with -- me or Shawn?
