Sami: G-- good morning.

Lucas: Good morning. Come right in. It's a little early, don't you think?

Sami: Come on, Lucas, it's never too early for breakfast. I got some muffins. How about blueberry or banana-nut?

Lucas: Blueberry -- you know it's my favorite.

Sami: That's what I thought you'd say.

Will: Mom?

Sami: Will.

Will: What are you doing here?

Sami: Good morning, sweetie. I got you and your dad some breakfast, so have a seat, and we'll bring it to you.

Will: Okay.

Sami: All right, let's see, here. We've got everything. Okay, Will, your dad has the muffins here, so let's see. I think this one has your name on it.

Will: Oh, yeah, chocolate-chip -- my favorite.

Sami: Dig in.

Will: You know, I know what you're trying to do.

Sami: Oh, really?

Will: You want us all to start acting like a family again -- like nothing ever happened.

Sami: Well, would that be so terrible? Look, I promise things are gonna work out this

time. This time, everything's gonna be perfect.

Will: Oh, no. Whenever mom says that, something bad always happens, and everything blows up in her face.

Lucas: It's the truth, isn't it?

[Knock on door]

Sami: Excuse me. Grand central station this morning.

Roman: Lucas, how you doing?

Lucas: Good, Roman.

Roman: Hey, Will, Sami.

Sami: Dad! Good morning. You're just in time for some breakfast.

Roman: Well, thanks, honey, but, actually, I'm on official business here. I need to ask you some questions, okay -- about Tony DiMera.

Marlena: [Breathing deeply] How can I tell John I'm pregnant with Roman's child? How can I tell Roman? Oh, my gosh, what am I going to do?

[Knock on door]

Marlena: Come in. Mimi.

Mimi: I'm sorry for just showing up like this again, but your secretary isn't here yet, and I just really needed to talk to you.

Marlena: Yes, yes, please, come sit down right away. Tell me what's happened.

Mimi: Everything. I didn't take your advice. You told me I should be honest with Rex and that I shouldn't lie to the man I love, just like you would never lie to your husband. Dr. Evans... you're not still keeping your secret, too...

Tek: What can I help you with?

Rex: Is there someplace we can talk?

Tek: Don't you have something to do?

Rex: As usual, Tek, you're wasting your time.

Tek: I'll be the judge of that. Thanks. So what's this all about?

Rex: You know what this is all about. Mimi's innocent, and I'm going to prove it. There's no way I'm losing the woman I love.

Brady: Chloe?

Chloe: Brady.

Brady: When I heard your voice on the phone, I just knew you were alive. Your mom told me where you were. I still can't believe that this is really you.

Chloe: I never wanted you to see me like this.

Brady: I know all about your scars, and I don't care. Don't you know how much I love you?

Kate: So many brave men and woman have sacrificed so much for our country.

John: Too many have given their lives.

Kate: I know. And I know we're very lucky that Philip is alive. But still, he lost a leg, and that didn't have to happen. Those land mines are an abomination, and they should be banned.

John: I agree. Let's see -- we are fortunate that Philip is alive and wasn't hurt any more than he was... aren't we?

Kate: Yes.

John: Yes.

Kate: Yes, we are. And I know with modern medicine and therapy that he's going to make a good recovery.

John: That's a fact.

Kate: And I know we're lucky that Belle is with him, because that's the most important thing to him right now. Shawn's thousands of miles away, which means that Belle and Philip are going to have a chance to bond without Shawn being there and trying to drive a wedge between them.

Belle: Philip. Shawn?

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.

Chloe: I can't believe this is happening.

Brady: When I found out you were alive, I couldn't give up until I found you. Chloe, I never want to lose you again.

Chloe: How can you want to be with me, Brady, when I look like this?

Brady: I told you it doesn't matter what you look like. I love you for who you are. You're beautiful. You always were. You always will be.

Chloe: I love you so much, Brady.

Brady: I love you, too.

Chloe: [Breathing heavily] Brady, what if Nancy told you that I'm alive? Then you won't give up until you find me. Maybe I should just tell you the truth.

Brady: Chloe. Oh, God,'re so beautiful. Whoa! Nicole! What are you doing in my room -- in my bed?!

Nicole: I thought you might be lonely, Brady. But it seems you're busy dreaming about Chloe. You've been lying to me all along, haven't you?

John: Our family's got a lot to celebrate when we get back home. Roman and Marlena will be surprised when we ask them to renew our vows. All right, what's going on?

Something's bothering you. What is it?

Kate: No, nothing.

John: About you and me, isn't it? About how involved we became when Tony took them away, yeah?

Kate: We thought they were dead.

John: We were grieving. And we turned to each other for comfort, and it was all good. Listen, we got nothing to feel bad about. Yeah, Roman and Marlena -- they had a hard time with it, but they understood. And the fact is, you and I both never would have let anything happen between us if we thought for a second they were alive.

Kate: You're right about that. But still, I do understand where it would be hard for them knowing -- knowing. And I suppose I would be devastated if...

John: You know, I'm sorry I even brought the subject up. I don't mean to pass my paranoia on to you. I don't have any reason to be suspicious -- not for a second.

Kate: Then why do I just feel like...

John: Feel like what? Talk to me.

Kate: Why do I feel like it would be better if the two of them were here rather than back in Salem together?

John: Together?

Kate: You told me that when you called Marlena, when you talked to her, she was in her office and Roman was there.

John: He was there only because he was asking if she remembered anything else about the time they spent together in that castle, 'cause he's trying to find his mother and Victor.

Kate: I know. I know. I -- I think you're right. I think it's -- I think it's probably perfectly innocent. It's just that I'm tired, and I'm stressed about Philip.

John: You had a couple tough weeks here, Kate.

Kate: I trust Roman. I do trust him.

John: Yeah, I trust Doc. You know, I think that once we're home and we renew those vows in front of family and friends, it'll be like beginning a whole new chapter in all of our lives.

Kate: Yeah, I'm sure you're right. I just hope it'll be the same for Philip, too, and that he'll finally get the future that he deserves with Belle.

Belle: I must be dreaming.

Shawn D.: You're not dreaming. I'm really here. Hi.

Belle: I can't believe this. What are you doing here?

Shawn D.: I flew all night to be here. I wanted to be here for you.

Belle: No, no, but you can't, okay? You have to go.

Shawn D.: What is all this?

Philip: Belle?

Belle: Come on.

Shawn D.: What --

Belle: Come on! Go!

Shawn D.: Hold on a second. What is with all the pictures of you and Philip?

Belle: Shawn, you shouldn't be here, okay? I want you to leave.

Rex: There has to be more to the story. Mimi's not a killer. She'd never hurt anyone, not even Jan Spears. There has to be a reason why she's pleading guilty and not defending these charges against her.

Tek: I wish I could help you, but I can't give you any more information than I have.

Rex: So there is more to the story, then.

Tek: That's not what I'm saying. It's a cut-and-dry case. Mimi confessed. Rex, she pled guilty after Jan gave incriminating testimony on tape before lapsing back into a coma. I'm sorry, man, but she's going to jail. She's gonna be sentenced today, and there's nothing you or I can do about it.

Rex: I'm not giving up. There has to be more to the story. It's up to me to figure out what it is before it's too late.

Mimi: I'm sorry. Your personal life is none of my business. Besides, I know you would never lie or keep a secret from someone you love like I have.

Marlena: Mimi, just tell me what happened.

Mimi: Well, I thought a lot about what you said after I left here the other day. I wanted to tell Rex the truth. I was going to, yesterday.

Marlena: Why didn't you?

Mimi: Well, he went all out making me this big, romantic breakfast -- omelets, mimosas, candlelight -- and then he even insisted that we dance to our song.

Marlena: That sounds lovely.

Mimi: Yeah. I know he was just trying to show me what our life could be like if I didn't go to jail. And then he kept going on about what a wonderful person I am and what a great...mother I would make someday. That's when I just lost it. I couldn't take it anymore. I just yelled at him and told him to get it through his head that we were over. And then I ran out. But I will never forget the look on his face before I left. He just looked so hurt and confused.

Marlena: I'm sure he was. I'm sure he still is.

Mimi: I can't even face him now.

Marlena: Mimi --

Mimi: I probably didn't sleep at all last night, and today I'm getting sentenced. I will probably go to jail for the rest of my life.

Marlena: It's not too late to change your plea. Let me call Roman -- see if he can be of some help.

Mimi: No, donít. It's too late.

Lucas: Buddy, why don't you go get dressed? Go in your room, okay?

Will: And miss this? No way.

Lucas: Come on, right now -- do what I say.

Will: Man, I always miss the good stuff.

Sami: Take your muffin, Will.

Will: Okay.

Sami: [Chuckles] Speaking of that, dad, how about some coffee? I have two, but I could make a third.

Roman: Sami, no. Like I said, I don't want anything, all right? But I do want to know everything there is to know about Tony DiMera and what was going on over there.

Sami: I don't know anything, dad.

Roman: Sami, when you were being held hostage, did you ever hear Tony say anything about whether or not he was also holding your grandmother and Victor?

Sami: No. No, dad, he didn't say anything about grandma Caroline or Victor.

Roman: Damn it, Sami. Now, are you sure about that?

Sami: Yeah, I'm positive.

Roman: Oh, man, I was hoping you'd heard something, picked up something. Well, we'll just have to track down DiMera and get the answers from him.

Lucas: When you do, I hope they make that bastard pay for everything he's done.

Sami: Dad, I really wish I could help you. I wish I knew something, but I donít. I have no idea where Tony is.

Lucas: The only way you're gonna find Tony is if you find Stan. The I.S.A. or the police have any leads on him?

Roman: Not yet, unfortunately.

Lucas: That traitor almost got us all killed. I swear, I'm not gonna rest until I find him. I don't care if it takes me till my last day.

Roman: Lucas, donít. I don't want you doing anything, all right? Salem P.D., the I.S.A. -- they're pulling out all the stops, so if he left any little clue whatsoever, you bet we'll find it.

Sami: I don't know, dad. I don't think anyone ever is going to find Stan.

Lucas: Why, Sami? Why would you say that, huh?

Sami: I don't know. It's, um, just a feeling I have.

Roman: Sami, I can't go on feelings here. I gotta go on facts. So are you sure you can't think of something that might help us? Littlest detail -- I don't care how small you might think it is. It could lead us to Stan or Tony. And remember this -- your grandmother's life could depend on this.

Sami: I know that, dad. And I wish I could help you. I was so excited when I heard that grandma might be alive. I want to find her as much as you do. I miss her so much.

Roman: I know you do, all right? I know you do. So just keep thinking. If anything hits you, you let me know, all right?

Sami: Yeah, yeah, dad, I will.

Roman: Meanwhile, I'll be questioning Nicole.

Sami: Nicole -- why Nicole?

Roman: Well, she is still Mrs. Victor Kiriakis, and when we were stranded on the island, I remember your grandmother hinting that Nicole just might want her husband out of the way.

Lucas: I wouldn't be surprised if that were true. Nicole wouldn't want that guy resurfacing right now. She's trying to get her claws into his grandson Brady as we speak.

Brady: Nicole! What the hell are you talking about?

Nicole: I heard you, Brady. You said Chloeís name in your sleep. You still think she's alive, don't you?

Brady: No, I don't, because you have convinced me otherwise. But that doesn't mean that I don't still love her, Nicole -- I do. And I can't help dreaming about her, all right? She's been on my mind a lot lately.

Nicole: Brady, I know a part of you will always love Chloe, but if you truly believe she's gone and we're really back together, why can't we make love?

Brady: We've been through this. Us making love has nothing to do with Chloe and everything to do with your husband.

Nicole: [Sighs]

Brady: Nicole, you know that if there's even the slightest possibility that my grandfather's still alive, we cannot be together.

Nicole: Brady...even if Victor is alive, I have no intention of being his wife again. Our marriage was a sham. Back on the island, he made it very clear that he wanted a divorce, and so did I. I'm in love with you now. And with Chloe gone, there's no reason why we can't be together.

Brady: Nicole, I am sorry, but even if there's the slightest chance that my grandfather could still be alive, that makes you my step-grandmother. I know it sounds weird, but it means we cannot sleep together. So, please, don't come into my room like this anymore.

Nicole: Brady...

Brady: I'm sorry, Nicole. It's just the way it has to be, all right?

Nicole: Fine. I'll leave.

Brady: [Thinking] I just bought myself some more time to find Chloe. With any luck, Nicole will lead me right to her.

Nicole: There's nothing I can do about Victor. But I can definitely get rid of Chloe.

Sami: Dad, I really hope you can find grandma. I mean, our family hasn't been the same since she's been gone. I just want us all together again.

Roman: Yeah, I do, too, Sami.

Sami: Of course, what would be perfect is if you and mom got back together.

Roman: Sami, how many times do your mom and I have to tell you that that's not gonna happen, okay? She's happily married to John. I'm happily married to Kate, all right? The wedding vows were final.

Sami: Well, Tony promised me.

Roman: What exactly did Tony promise you?

John: I don't think you have anything to worry about. Belle knows that it's important for her to see Philip through this, and she's committed to doing just that.

Kate: I know she says that now, but I'm afraid that her feelings for Shawn are going to make her turn her back on my son.

John: I don't think it's gonna happen. She and I had a long talk about marriage and commitment. And she's going to use her mother as a role model. Like Marlena, she's a very loving, caring, faithful person. And even though she may be confused right now about two men, I know that she would never break her vows... any more than Marlena would break our vows.

Shawn D.: I'm not leaving. I'm here because you need me. Or do you? And what was with the pictures on the door?

Belle: They're part of Philipís recovery, okay? What he's facing right now is not going to be easy. He has to want to fight to get better -- to put his life back together. The doctors say that his mental attitude and the amount of will and determination that he has are very important.

Shawn D.: I understand that, and, believe me, I want Philip to get better. But you have a life and a future, and I am worried about what all this is doing to you.

Belle: Shawn, no, okay?

Shawn D.: What's wrong?

Belle: Philip saw a DVD that Rex made of him dancing with me, and he got very upset.

Shawn D.: I'm sure he did.

Belle: The truth is, Philipís life is never completely going to be the same.

Shawn D.: So, what are you saying? Is Philip still expecting to be there for you as a husband? And are you planning on being there for him as a wife?

Nicole: Sorry, Chloe...but it's high time the phantom of the opera took her final bow.

[Telephone rings]

Chloe: Hello?

Nicole: Chloe, hi. It's Nicole. Everything's been taken care of. Brady definitely believes that you're dead.

Chloe: Are you sure?

Nicole: Positive. I convinced him the voice he heard was just another DiMera trick, so you don't have to worry. I know how scared you were about him finding you, seeing you with your face scarred beyond recognition. And finally, he seems at peace with your death. You're doing the right thing, Chloe. You know that, right? Chloe, you haven't changed your mind, have you?

Chloe: No, um... no, Nicole, I havenít. You're right. It's better that Brady thinks I'm gone and I'm not coming back.

Nicole: Good. All right, so this is what I want you to do. I want you to pack all your things and get ready to leave Salem...for good.

Tek: Hey, Lexie, it's Tek. Just calling to see how you're doing. It's been a while. Uh, well, I hope you're hanging in there, and I'll talk to you soon. All right, bye.

Rex: There has to be something about Mimiís case that I'm missing. Jan had to be lying when she said Mimi tried to kill her. But why won't she defend herself? What the hell is Mimi keeping from me?

Marlena: Okay, I won't call Roman. But I think you have to tell Rex the truth. It's the only way you'll have closure.

Mimi: I'm sorry. I just canít. I mean, like I said, it's too late, anyway.

Marlena: But I don't believe that.

Mimi: It's better if Rex doesn't know. I mean, it's bad enough that I'm going to jail on the same day we're supposed to be married. I don't want to hurt him any more than I already have.

Marlena: What could hurt him more than watching you go to jail for a crime you did not commit?

Mimi: But I have screwed up so many times. I have done so many terrible things. I deserve to be punished. Except for cheating on the man you love, what could be worse than keeping a secret like that?

Lucas: What do you mean, Tony promised you?

Roman: Sami...Sami, I want an answer. Were you in any way involved with Tony DiMera?

Sami: No. No, dad..."promise" is the wrong word. He told me that you and mom were still alive.

Roman: Well, why in the hell would he do that? Now, come on. Level with me. How close were you and Tony?

Lucas: Yeah, Sami, what's really going on between you two?

Sami: All right, all right, I'll tell you the truth.

Sami: Dad, I'm telling you the truth. Tony was holding me hostage. He had kidnapped me, just like I said.

Roman: Did he tell you why?

Sami: He wanted me to work for him. Tony wanted me to go back to Salem and do horrible things so he could get back at all of his enemies. Dad, it was terrible.

Roman: All right... all right, Sami, listen to me. I am sorry for what Tony put you through, okay? But now that I know what happened, I gotta take you down to the station for formal questioning. The I.S.A. is gonna want to talk to you, okay? Tony may have slipped and let you in on his future plans.

Sami: But he didn't, dad. He just hinted at what he wanted me to do.

Lucas: Yeah, but even so, he might have told you something really important, and you

just didn't realize it.

Sami: No. Lucas, I swear, all he said to me was that my parents were still alive, and if I ever wanted to see them again, I had to help him. But as much as I wanted to see my parents again, I would never willingly help Tony DiMera.

Roman: Wait a minute. Whoa. Are you saying you may have unwittingly helped Tony?

Sami: No, dad, that is not what I'm saying. I'm just explaining to you that Tony kept asking me to help him, and I kept saying no. And he wouldn't let it go. He just kept asking and asking, and when I would say no, he just got angrier at me until he finally decided that he was gonna kill me, too. And when I overheard that he was gonna kill you and the other guys, well, thank God I got those keys away from that guard and I was able to rescue you all. And that's how it happened -- just like I told you. You have to believe me.

Belle: Shawn...Philip and I are still married. I promised for better or worse, in sickness and in health. I have a responsibility to him. And you being here -- it's not helping.

Shawn D.: I understand that Philip needs you here right now. And I didn't come to get in the way or cause trouble. I just came here to make sure that you were all right.

Belle: I am. I'm fine. And all I can think about right now is Philipís recovery, okay?

Shawn D.: That's what I'm thinking about, too. Believe me, I have the utmost respect and admiration for the sacrifice that he has made. He has been through hell. And he's gonna continue going through hell, especially over these next few months as he's recovering. That's why I understand that you need to be there for him. But...what I need to that at the end of the day... are you gonna still want to be my wife? Belle, come on, what is it? Have you changed your mind about us?

Kate: See, now that Shawnís not around, your daughter and my son are finally going to have the chance at happiness that they deserve. My God, what the hell is he doing here?

Mimi: I mean, what difference would it make if I told Rex the truth now? I already confessed. My life's over. I think it's just better if I don't hurt him any more than I have.

Marlena: You know, you and I disagree about this. I think you've got to tell Rex the truth. If you don't, you'll regret it the rest of your life.

Mimi: I won't regret it, because I know in the long run, I'll be saving him a lot more pain. He just needs to forget about me and move on with his life.

Marlena: He can't do that, Mimi. He loves you.

Mimi: Well, he's gonna have to. And he will, eventually. He'll find someone else who can make him happy. Thanks for listening. Again, I think I just wasted your time. I came here looking for answers, but there aren't any for me.

Marlena: Mimi, please don't do this.

Mimi: Can you tell Belle when she gets back from Germany that I will miss her and she's the best friend I could ever have?

Marlena: Don't do this.

Mimi: I have to. Thank you for everything. Goodbye.

Rex: So, Dr. Evans didn't help, huh?

Mimi: Rex...

Rex: I figured you'd come to see Belle's mom.

Mimi: What are you doing here?

Rex: I'm not giving up on you, Mimi. I know you're keeping a secret from me, and you're gonna tell me what it is right now.

Chloe: You want me to leave Salem?

Nicole: I think we both agree it's for the best. Now, I've got a private plane on standby, and it will take you and your mother to a clinic in Switzerland. It's very comfortable, private, and discreet. It's all being taken care of.

Chloe: I don't know, Nicole. I'm not sure that Nancy will agree to this.

Nicole: I'm sure you can persuade her. Your mother and I don't really get along, so I can't talk to her myself. But I'm sure she will listen to you. Nancy only wants what's best for you.

Chloe: I know, but, still...

Nicole: Chloe, it's the only way to keep Brady from finding you. Right now, he believes you're dead. But if he gets suspicious again, there is no telling what lengths he will go to to try and track you down. You don't want him to know the truth, do you?

Brady: All right... let's stick close to Nicole and find out if she can lead me to Chloe. Hello, who are you talking to, Nicole?

Chloe: Nicole, this is all so sudden.

Nicole: I know, Chloe. But it's the way it has to be. Why don't you get yourself packed and ready to go. Then have Nancy bring you to the private airfield where the two of you will board the Titan Jet and fly to Switzerland? It's the way it has to be... unless you want Brady to find out you're still alive.

Brady: So, who are you talking to, Nicole? Does it have something to do with Chloe?

Rex: Mimi, you and I have always said we would never keep any secrets from each other. So, please, just tell me the truth. What are you hiding?

Mimi: Rex, please don't do this.

Rex: You have to tell me what's wrong. Otherwise, how can I help you?

Mimi: You can't help me. You canít.

Marlena: Oh, my gosh. I thought I was done with morning sickness. [Breathes deeply] Oh, what are we going to do? I can't lie to Roman and John about this baby. [Thinking] I

think you've got to tell Rex the truth. If you don't, you'll regret it the rest of your life.

Sami: Well, you guys believe me, don't you?

Roman: Sami, are you sure you didn't help Tony in any way?

Sami: Yes, dad, I'm sure. How could you think that I would want to help the man that caused our family so much pain?

Lucas: He told you you'd see your parents again. You thought they were dead, Sami. That didn't tempt you?

Sami: Well, of course I was tempted. But I still told him, "no, not in a million years."

Lucas: Sami, look, we want to believe you.

Sami: Why don't you? God, do you really think that I am that evil?

Roman: Sami, no, we donít. But you don't have the greatest track record in the world, okay? You're my daughter. I love you. But in your lifetime, you have made huge mistakes.

Sami: Yeah, I know that, dad, but I have learned my lessons. I would never fall into a trap set by Tony DiMera.

Roman: Well, you know what? I sure as hell hope not.

Lucas: Maybe we should just concentrate on gathering clues about Stan. We find him, we're gonna get the answers we need.

Roman: I'll tell you what. The cops will keep digging. If Stan left any evidence behind, we'll find it.

Lucas: Damn right they will.

Roman: Now, I gotta go. You tell will I said goodbye. I need you to come down to the station and make a formal statement.

Sami: Okay.

Roman: All right.

Lucas: I'll walk you out. Thanks again, Roman.

Roman: Yeah, all right, Lucas.

Will: Uh-oh, you have that look on your face.

Sami: What look?

Will: The guilty one. You're not gonna mess things up again, are you, mom?

Lucas: Will, wait a minute. Don't worry about her. Things are gonna be all right... as long as your mom just keeps telling the truth.

Kate: What the hell are you doing here?

Belle: Kate, it's not what it looks like.

Philip: Belle! Belle!

Belle: Philip needs me. I have to go.

Kate: Shawn, you have no right to be here. You are only hurting my son.

John: I think your best option right now is to book a flight back home.

Shawn D.: I'm not leaving. Belle needs me.

Belle: Philip, what is it? Are you okay?

Philip: I had a bad dream. I dreamt that Shawn was here and he wanted you back.

Belle: Um, I don't want you to worry about Shawn, okay? You just concentrate on getting better. And know that I am here for you every step of the way -- I promise.

Philip: I can't lose you, Belle. I love you.

Belle: You are not gonna lose me. I'm here for you...always.

Tek: The man can't make love to his wife -- that's Abeís real problem.

Abe: Did I hear my name?

Jack: What's the prognosis?

Lexie: Not good.

Jack: What's that -- doctor speak for I'm dying?

Philip: Once they realize it's never gonna be like it was, they take off.

Shawn D.: I need to know if you are committed to having a future with me.
