Mimi: No matter what you do, Rex, no matter what you say, I'm not changing my plea. I fought with Jan. I pushed her, and she fell and hit her head. There's no denying it. The police found my fake fingernail on the scene. Plus, before Jan went into her coma, she told Tek I attacked her. It was all on tape. The only thing left to do is just pray that she doesn't die, because then the charge will go from attempted murder to murder one. And instead of facing prison, I'll be looking at a death sentence.

Rex: You got this all figured out, haven't you?

Mimi: There's nothing to figure -- it's done. Instead of walking down the aisle to you, in my wedding gown, I'm gonna be heading off to Statesville in an orange jumpsuit. And there's nothing you or anyone can do to change it, so please don't waste your time.

Rex: You finished?

Mimi: Yeah. [Chuckles] I'm finished, all right. And so are we...permanently. That's just the way it has to be.

Rex: Mimi, look, you're wrong...about everything.

Billie: Chat rooms, yearbooks, on-line high school newspapers -- there are over a million teen websites in this state alone. Oh, God, please, let one of them lead us to Georgia. I know it's a long shot, but... a long shot that just got a little bit shorter. Oh, my God.

Bo: Hope, how could you give Shawn the money to go to Germany to be with Belle?

Hope: He's not gonna be with her. He's gonna be there for her. There's a difference.

Bo: And if you believe that, you're as deluded about your son's motives as he is.

Hope: He loves her. He always had. Bo, they are meant to be together, and nothing should stand in the way of that.

Bo: Not even marriage? Belle is married to Philip. Or have you and your son forgotten that?

Hope: [Sighs]

[Monitor beeping]

Kate: When we got the news, Belle couldn't get over here fast enough. All she wanted was to be by your side.

Philip: I can only imagine how worried you must have been. And it means a lot that you're both here.

Kate: Sweetheart, nothing would keep me away. Or Belle, either. I think it's just wonderful -- it's fabulous that you're going to get to do your recovery and your therapy back in Salem instead of at Walter Reed.

Philip: I know. But I've been thinking, mom. Even with you and Belle by my side, it's gonna be a long, hard recovery, and I'm scared. I'm scared that I'm not gonna be able to make it.

John: [Sighs] I'm glad that you're there for Philip, sweetheart. Now, are you sure Shawn’s not gonna be a problem?

Belle: I promised to be faithful to Philip in sickness and in health. That's what I'm gonna do for as long as he needs me. And if I ever have any doubts about staying true to those vows, like I said, all I have to do is look at you and mom. Remember how important fidelity and commitment are to a marriage?

Marlena: Oh, Karen. Thank you for coming so soon.

Karen: Oh, OB-GYN’S get used to responding quickly. Marlena, things have been so hectic, I haven't even had a chance to see you since you've gotten back. You're alive!

Marlena: I'm alive. [Laughs] Oh, I've missed you. Sit, sit, sit.

Karen: I've missed you too. I can't believe what Tony DiMera put you through. I mean, being locked up with your ex-husband for all those months. Some women would call that a living hell.

Marlena: I know, but I don’t. Roman was -- he was wonderful. He was supportive. I could not have gotten through it without him.

Karen: You two have always shared something special. Truth is, I never understood why you weren't able to work through things all those years ago.

Marlena: Well, it was just complicated, I guess. And then Roman was taken away by DiMeras, and I fell in love with John.

Karen: Believing he was Roman. Yeah, that's pretty complicated, all right.

Marlena: It was terrible. Tore our whole lives apart and sent Sami into a tailspin. I'm not sure she's still recovered from it. But I didn't invite you here to talk about my history.

Karen: Oh, I'm sorry. You had a question about a patient.

Marlena: I do. I need a consult, if you don't mind.

Karen: I don't mind. Okay, well, there's no name.

Marlena: Y-yeah. I-I prefer to keep it confidential.

Karen: Okay. Well, she's a little over two months pregnant.

Marlena: Mm-hmm.

Karen: Um...oh. This doesn't look good. This doesn't look good at all.

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives.

John: Listen, baby... about your mother and me -- our marriage --

Kate: Excuse me. Belle, Philip’s asking for you.

Belle: Oh. Excuse me, dad.

John: Yeah.

Kate: He wants to see you, too.

John: They got that "one visitor at a time" thing. Are you sure he's up to it?

Kate: He seems fine.

John: [Exhales, inhales] Hey, how you doing, there, Private First Class Kiriakis?

Philip: I've been better, John. I've been a lot better.

Philip: Turns out, working as a covert agent with you is a walk in the park compared to active combat. Of course, I'm not really gonna be walking through any parks any time soon, am I, huh, honey?

Belle: Don't talk like that, okay? You have to stay positive.

Philip: Oh, I'm positive. I'm positive I'm not gonna be rejoining my troop.

John: Mm, maybe not. But you're gonna amaze yourself in rehab. You know, prosthetics nowadays -- really high-tech. In fact, people worse than you are out there running marathons.

Philip: Yeah. John, listen, my mom told me what you did -- pulled some strings so I could do my recovery back in Salem. I appreciate it. It's gonna be a lot easier -- a lot easier having my friends and family around while I go through it. And, most importantly, it means that Belle's not gonna have to relocate to D.C. if she wants to be with me. Thank you very, very much.

John: No thanks needed. You're family, son. Besides, I have gone through kind of a tough recovery period myself, and I found that it's very important to be near the people you love... and who love you.

Philip: Yeah. Speaking of which, what do you think about your parents renewing their wedding vows?

Belle: I didn't -- I didn't know. Dad, why didn't you tell me?

John: Well, I was, uh, just getting ready to tell you when Kate came out.

Belle: So, when did you and mom decide to do this?

John: Actually, she doesn't know about it yet. I just kind of came up with the idea.

Belle: Well, is this because you're feeling guilty about what happened between you and Kate while mom and Roman were being held prisoner?

Philip: W-what do you mean? Mom, John, what happened between the two of you?

Marlena: Uh, Karen, what's not good?

Karen: I have a feeling you already know and that's why you called me.

Marlena: Well, I have my suspicions, but of course you're the expert.

Karen: Well, given the patient's age and history, this looks to be a high-risk pregnancy, Marlena. The good news is she's only a few months along, so there are precautions we can take to try to avoid a miscarriage.

Marlena: Such as?

Karen: Well, I'd have to examine, but for starters we're probably talking a largely bed-rest pregnancy. Diet will be important, there are meds that might help, but I'd have to take it on a day-by-day basis.

Marlena: Oh, I see. So, all things considered, what are the chances of actually this baby being carried to term?

Karen: Well, again, I haven't examined her, but, um, based solely on this...not so good.

Mimi: I'm not wrong, Rex.

Rex: [Sighs]

Mimi: I know you don't want to accept it, but you have to. I'm going to prison for a very long time -- too long for you to wait for me. So you're just gonna have to forget what we had and move on.

Rex: Can't do that.

Mimi: But you have to, Rex. We're both gonna be old and gray by the time I'm released, if I'm ever released.

Rex: Which is why we have to fight to get you acquitted.

Mimi: There's no point!

Rex: Look... do you love me?

Mimi: You know I do.

Rex: Good, because I love you, too. And I have invested way too much in this relationship to just give up on us. And, besides, there is no way I could even get half of what I paid for this engagement ring if I tried to hawk it.

Mimi: This is not a joke, Rex. I am serious.

Rex: Okay. If you're serious, what the hell? Let me see what I can get for it.

Rex: Wow, looks like someone else isn't all that serious about giving up on us, either. With that said, what do you want in your omelet?

Hope: No, I haven't forgotten that Belle is married to Philip, and neither has Shawn. But you, on the other hand, seem to have forgotten just how important true love actually is.

Bo: True love is not the issue here.

Hope: Oh, of course it is. And you and I both know there is nothing more sacred than that.

Bo: How about wedding vows? Like the ones Belle took with Philip -- she stood there before God and swore not to leave him through sickness, in health, better, for worse, till death do them par--

Hope: I know. I know this is complicated.

Bo: Complicated? Hope, it's impossible. It's wrong of our son to interfere in that marriage. It's wrong of you to encourage -- to enable him to.

Hope: Don't you care at all about our son? Don't you want to see him happy?

Bo: Yes, Hope. I want to see our son happy. But not at the expense of somebody else's marriage. Philip is lying in a hospital bed, and Shawn’s gonna take his marriage away from him?

Hope: Bo, Belle and Philip’s marriage was a mistake, and she realized that long before Philip was injured. What happened to Philip -- it's horrible. It breaks my heart. But it's not a reason for her to live a lie. She and Shawn love each other. They need each other, Bo. You're worried about what will happen to Philip if she tells him the truth. So am I. But, by God, I am also worried about what will happen to our son if she doesn’t. What if she feels so guilty that she -- that she decides to stay with Philip and she rejects Shawn? What do you think will happen to them then?

Bo: Shawn will be unhappy --

Hope: He loves her, Bo.

Bo: And she loves Philip.

Hope: Not the same way she --

Bo: You don't know that, Hope. You're not inside her head, and, yes, I know Shawn loves her. But sometimes true love -- it doesn't work out.

Hope: She's so good for him. Since she's been back in his life, he's been so much more centered, so much more stable, Bo.

Bo: Mm-hmm, and he proved that by rushing off into a war zone.

Hope: He's not drinking the way he was. He's not self-destructing. His attitude is a lot better than it was.

Bo: His attitude is for crap. He's angry, belligerent, he didn't listen to a word I had to say.

Hope: Because he is petrified he's gonna lose the woman that he loves. I understand that fear. He is so afraid that he is going to lose Belle to Philip the same way I was afr-- that I was gonna lose you to Billie.

Billie: This is amazing. Absolutely amazing. I had no idea when I went surfing that I'd stumble onto something like this. I got to print this up and show Bo right away.

Kate: Honey, you remember when John escaped from the island, and when he came back to Salem, we thought Roman and Marlena were dead. And w-we became close.

Philip: Yeah, I remember you were helping him recover from his injuries, but exactly how close did you guys get?

Kate: [Sighs] We thought Roman and Marlena were dead, and we --

John: But now that they are back, Kate and I have decided to recommit to our marriages. Therefore, we're going to renew our vows. In fact, we were thinking about maybe a double ceremony. What do you think about that, Izzy?

Belle: I think it's a great idea.

Philip: It'd be cool.

Kate: Well, maybe you and Philip could renew your vows, as well.

Philip: I don't think we need to, 'cause Belle never stopped believing that I was alive, right? And as far as I'm concerned, whatever happened between the two of you, I think it's great. It's nothing to be ashamed of. You both thought that Roman and Marlena were gone. I think you two were lucky to have each other. No one should go through something like that alone.

John: We were lucky.

Philip: And that's exactly why, after I was injured, I asked Shawn to look after Belle for me.

Kate: What? That's like asking the fox to guard the henhouse.

Philip: Mom...

Marlena: Karen, what would you suggest for this pregnancy?

Karen: Well, it's difficult without really knowing anything about her -- her temperament, her personality.

Marlena: Well, she's, uh, a professional woman. She is clearheaded, intelligent, practical, and -- and... and sometimes her emotions get the best of her.

Karen: Sounds like you know her pretty well. Has she been a patient for long?

Marlena: Actually, I just really understand the way she thinks.

Karen: That's what makes you such a good psychiatrist. It looks like she's been married for a while -- happily?

Marlena: Yes, very happily. Yes, except there have been a few little bumpy patches lately.

Karen: Is her husband willing to do whatever it takes to help her get through the pregnancy?

Marlena: He doesn't know about the pregnancy.

Karen: She hasn't told him?

Marlena: Well, um, we were just trying to gather information for the time being.

Karen: I'm a little confused, Marlena. In my experience, happily married women usually tell their husbands that they're pregnant before they tell their therapists, and they usually can't wait to make their OB-GYN appointment. So why is your patient having you intervene?

Marlena: Well, she has got some concerns, and so we're just hoping to analyze it first.

Karen: You have to know that this is a bit irregular. I mean, you're asking me to give you medical advice on a patient that I haven't examined or even seen. I mean, this is a high-risk pregnancy. Your patient needs to make an appointment with an OB-GYN-- she needs to either call me or make an appointment with another OB-GYN as soon as possible. You need to tell her that.

Marlena: No, no, what I need to do is I need to tell you the truth. The woman that we're talking about -- uh, the patient who is pregnant is me.

Bo: You're only bringing up Billie to confuse the issue. You know you don't have anything to worry about -- losing me to her, and she's got nothing to do with Belle, Philip, and Shawn.

Hope: It's why I understand what Shawn’s going through, why he had to go to her.

Bo: Him going to her is a mistake.

Hope: Why is that? Isn't true love worth fighting for? It used to be.

Bo: Okay, let's look at the facts.

Hope: All right.

Bo: He leaves the country, he'll be violating the terms of his bail. Court finds out, he'll go to jail. So when he goes to trial for riding his motorcycle through the window at St. Luke's, it won't look so good. And if he doesn't get back for this trial, additional charges will be filed against him and a warrant put out for his arrest. Now, in your book, breaking up this marriage is much more important than that?

Hope: You know what?

Bo: What?

Hope: If you wanted to stop him, you could have.

Bo: I tried to stop him.

Hope: Not very hard.

Bo: What'd you want me to do, lock him in his room? He's a grown man. The only thing keeping him from flying off to Germany was the fact that he didn't have the money, but you took care of that little problem, didn't you?

Hope: Brady...

Bo: What?

Hope: The real reason you didn't fight to keep him from going was because you knew, in his shoes, you, my love, would do exactly the same thing.

Bo: What?

Hope: If you thought you were gonna lose the woman of your dreams, nothing on earth would keep you from going to her.

Bo: That's exactly my point. He already lost her. She's married.

Hope: It was a mistake.

Bo: So Philip should pay for this mistake?

Hope: Oh, wait a second. I think I get it now. So it's better for him to live the rest of his life in a loveless marriage.

Bo: And who says it's loveless, smarty-pants? Shawn? Belle obviously loved him enough to marry him.

Hope: All right, smarty-pants. You and I both know that that was before Shawn and Belle reconnected.

Bo: They reconnected a little too late. Belle was already a married woman. And if Shawn had left her alone, she never would have questioned her commitment to Philip. Shawn is not going over there to be a supportive friend. He's going over there to stake a claim. He's just gonna make things worse for everybody.

Hope: She needs Shawn.

Bo: No, she doesn’t. She's gonna be pulled in two different directions when she should be focused on her husband. Three people in a marriage -- it's disaster.

[Doorbell rings]

Bo: Who's that?

Hope: I have no idea. I can only imagine.

Hope: What do you want?

Billie: Oh, hi. I was looking for Bo. Is he here? There's something I need to tell him...about Georgia.

Hope: You know what, Billie? You are the last thing Bo and I need right now.

Mimi: I can't believe you did all this.

Rex: Well, I figured the condemned woman deserved a final, parting meal. I highly doubt you're gonna get mimosas and hand-grown Guatemalan coffee in Statesville, Mass. I can guarantee you're not gonna get a brie-and-shiitake omelet with powdered eggs and government cheese.

Mimi: I know what you're doing. You're showing me all the stuff I'll be missing if -- I mean, when I go to prison.

Rex: Is it working?

Mimi: No. I mean, yes. I mean... of course I'll miss this stuff. And more importantly, I'll miss you...and my friends and my family. I'm not some unfeeling, emotionless blob. Only that doesn't change anything, Rex. I'm guilty, and I'm going to pay. But thank you for this.

Rex: So your mind's made up. Well, there's only one thing left to do.

Mimi: Accept it.

Rex: Nope, try harder. ["I got you babe" plays] Would you look at that? They're playing our song.

They say we're young and we don't know

Mimi: What? Where did you get that?

Rex: I borrowed it from Philip.

Mimi: Because...

Rex: Because all night I've been trying to think of the right words to tell you what's in my heart, and, well, then I thought of the perfect song that pretty much sums it all up.

[Strums guitar]

They say we're young and we don't know

we won't find out until we grow

well, I don't know if all that's true

'cause you've got me and, baby, I've got you

babe I've got you, babe

I got you, babe I got you, babe

Rex: May I? Oh, come on, Mimi. You're not gonna give me one last dance before you head off to Statesville?

Before it's earned, our money's always spent

I guess that's so, we don't have a pot

but at least I'm sure of all the things we got

I got you, babe I got you, babe

Billie: Apparently I came at a bad time.

Hope: As always.

Billie: I'm sorry. This is important.

Hope: It's always important. You're not whisking Bo off on another wild goose chase.

Billie: That's not what this is about.

Hope: I don't trust you. Neither of us trust you, Billie. Not since you took advantage of Bo -- raped him.

Bo: Hey, hey, take it easy.

Hope: Don't you dare tell me you're going to defend her now.

Bo: No, I'm not. Let's just find out what she came for.

Hope: Fine. Then get the hell out. The sooner the better.

(Gentle acoustic guitar music)

Philip: Look, mom, I know you were worried about Shawn coming between Belle and me, but it's not happening.

Kate: Honey, how could you possibly say that? Shawn crashed his motorcycle into St. Luke's in the middle of your wedding ceremony. He nearly killed you both.

Philip: And I've forgiven him. As far as I'm concerned, that's ancient history. He has done more than enough to make up for it.

Kate: [Thinking] Like hell. Hopefully that little stunt's going to send him to prison for a long time. Honey, do you really mean that? I mean, how could you possibly forgive him for something like that?

Philip: Because he risked his life organizing a rescue mission to save me, and he almost died in the process. Then I was in the middle of a minefield, and his first impulse was to run out and save me with no concern for his own safety.

Belle: That's true.

Philip: How could I not forgive him? Mom, do you realize, if it weren't for Shawn, I may not be sitting here talking to you right now?

John: He did take a hell of a risk going after him.

Philip: He did it so Belle could be happy -- I know that. Her happiness is important to him, which is why he wanted to bring me home to her. For that, I will always be grateful. We both will. As far as I'm concerned, Shawn is a hero. I mean, I'm a Marine. The choices that I made, I had to make them. Shawn chose to make them. So did Lucas, so did Rex, and so did Brady.

Kate: Honey, Shawn’s not quite the saint that you are making him out to be.

Philip: No, he's not a saint, and no one knows that better than me. Shawn has had some problems in the past. And when he left Salem and he abandoned Belle, I didn't understand him, I didn't think I knew him, and I didn't think I could be friends with him anymore. I was wrong. The actions that he has taken leading up to this have given me a whole new level of respect for him, and that's why I asked him, not Rex or Brady or Lucas, to look after Belle for me. We all make mistakes, but I think Shawn has gone well above the call of duty in atoning for his. He has been a good friend to me. He's been a good friend to both of us. Hasn't he?

Belle: Yes. And I know he only wants what's best for you, the same way I do.

Kate: Well, that's what we all want.

Philip: Good. Then enough of that. I want to talk about you and Roman. And, John, you and Marlena. When are you renewing the vows? When is that taking place?

Kate: Well, probably as soon as you can sit in the front row and watch us do it.

Belle: But mom and roman still don't know about this, so when do you plan on popping the question?

John: Well, actually, I was thinking about not telling them -- just kind of making it a surprise.

Belle: Mm, I don't know, dad. You know mom's not crazy about those kinds of surprises.

Karen: Why didn't you tell me it's you?

Marlena: I don't know. Um, nobody else knows, and I -- you won't say anything, will you?

Karen: You know I won’t.

Marlena: Thank you.

Karen: But this is good news, Marlena. I know the pregnancy is unexpected, but, I mean, you love children. How many times over the years have you told me you wished you had another?

Marlena: Yeah. But I always had such chaos in our lives -- in John's, in mine, the DiMeras always interfering somehow in our lives.

Karen: But things are stable now. John loves you. You love him. He'll be over the moon to have another baby with you.

Marlena: Yeah, it's not that, exactly.

Karen: I know, I know. And I'm not gonna lie to you. I mean, the pregnancy's gonna be risky, but, you know, with constant monitoring and proper diet, bed rest, I mean, you may be able to carry this pregnancy to term. If not, if we could just get you to the third trimester. You know what success they've had with neonatal.

Marlena: I know. Miracles happen all the time.

Karen: Yes, they do. You can do this, Marlena.

Marlena: It will be a big change for me.

Karen: Your whole life will change, but what a better way to change them. And you know Belle -- she's wanted a little brother or a sister ever since she was 3.

Marlena: But Belle's not 3 anymore. She's a grown woman.

Karen: And she will be happy to help. This will be good practice for her and Philip, in case they decide to have children of their own. But you know what? I want to check a few more things in your chart. Um... oh, you know what? I just -- I just realized that you are...two months along...

Marlena: Yes?

Karen: Well, I thought we were talking about someone else, but, you know, you haven't been back that long. I mean, is -- that's why you haven't told John.

Marlena: That's right. It's not John's baby. It's Roman’s.

Rex: [Voice breaking] Sweetheart, we've been through so much together. And I know we can get through this, too. I just -- I have to know what we're up against here. Will you please -- please, don't give up on us, okay? Think about it. Think about our future. Think about everything we have together. The kids we're gonna have. Mimi, you're gonna be such an amazing mother. Do you really want to throw all this away?

Mimi: I already have.

Bo: So, this is a site for kids who've been adopted. They've turned 18 and want to locate their biological parents.

Billie: Exactly, and Georgia could be as desperate to find us as we are to find her, and if she is... I've already filled out everything -- the contact information, our history. I've signed it. The only thing you need to do is sign here... under "father."

Bo: Okay. It's worth -- it's worth a shot.

Billie: Thank you. I couldn't agree more.

Hope: Now that you've -- [Telephone rings] Hello? Hey, Shawn. Honey, please, it's okay. You don't have to thank me again. I was happy to give you the money. I love you, too. Hey, and good luck. Promise me you'll call me as soon as you get to Germany. Okay.

Billie: Shawn's going to Germany?

Hope: I thought you were leaving.

Billie: You gave him money to go to Germany?

Hope: This is none of your business.

Billie: Like hell it is. Philip is my brother. And I don't want your loose cannon of a son going over there to try to break up his marriage.

Hope: Ooh. That is rich coming from you, the woman who thought nothing of trying to break up my marriage, who manipulated my husband into making love to her, by letting him think you were me.

Billie: Philip is lying in a military hospital. He's lost a leg. He needs Belle now more than ever, and the only reason Shawn is going over there is to cause trouble. I cannot believe you agree with this. You don't, do you? You agree with me.

Hope: Don't you dare try to drive a wedge between me and my husband. What Shawn is or is not doing is a family matter.

Billie: Except it includes my family, too! Yes, it is my family. Bo, you know I'm right, don't you. I can see it in your eyes.

Rex: Sweetheart, I know why you think you threw away your chance to become a mother -- because of that infection, you can't conceive. But, Mimi, there are lots of ways for us to still become parents.

Mimi: I know you wanted to adopt.

Rex: I still do. I think it'd be great. And I would love to be able to give a home to a kid who really needs one -- lots of kids. I can't think of anything that would make me happier. How lucky would they be to wind up having you as a mom? There's no one in this world who could ever be a better mother than you. Sweetheart, you are the most kind, loving, and nurturing --

Mimi: Rex, stop! [Voice breaking] Stop. Don't you think I want kids? Don't you think I want to be with you and have a family and live happily ever after? I want all that. It's all I've ever wanted. But it can't happen. My life is over. Why can't you get that through your head? I tried to kill Jan, and I'm going to jail, where I belong. So, please, just -- [Sighs] Just forget I ever existed.

[Door closes]

Hope: I believe you have what you came for. And I'd appreciate it if you would

Billie: Fine. Gladly. But just to let you know, I will not let Shawn come between Belle and Philip. Okay, so, I will fax all our information over, I will post our notice on the website, and with any luck at all, Georgia will see it and get in touch with us.

Bo: With any luck.

Billie: I'll keep in touch.

Hope: Self-right-- who does she think she is?

Bo: Hope, this could end badly for Shawn.

Hope: And if it does, you think it's my fault?

Bo: Look, I'm not gonna take her side against you in front of her, but --

Hope: You didn't have to. Your silence said it all. And I'm telling you, if Billie tries anything to stop Shawn or hurt him, she is going to have to go through me.

Bo: Oh, come on, Hope. She's not gonna hurt --

Hope: As far as Shawn, Belle, and Philip are concerned, we're just gonna have to wait and see what happens until Shawn gets to Germany, okay?

Philip: Did Shawn tell you what I said to him -- about looking out for you?

Belle: Yeah. Actually, he wanted to fly over here with me -- with us.

Kate: Well, I'm glad he didn't because right now Philip has more than enough visitors.

And speaking of visitors, I'm going to need you all to leave while I change his dressings.

Kate: Okay. We'll see you in a little while.

Philip: All right.

Belle: And then he's going to need some rest.

Kate: Ah. Well, then I guess we'll be seeing you later.

John: Hang in there, kid.

Philip: Thanks, John. Bye, mom.

Belle: Okay, I'll see you in a little while. You just rest and get better, okay?

Philip: Okay. Hey, I already feel so much better with you here. I don't know what I would do if you weren’t.

Belle: Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere.

Philip: I know. Bye, hon.

Belle: Bye.

Belle: I'm worried about him. One minute he seems okay, and then the next he's so depressed.

John: Sweetheart, this is typical. Mood swings and depression -- pretty common with something like this.

Kate: Which is the reason that I'm so glad you're here, that you're with him, that you're seeing him through this.

John: I'm proud of you, baby girl.

Kate: I knew that once you saw Philip again, without Shawn, that you would realize how much you love him and why you married him in the first place.

Belle: I do love Philip. But I also love Shawn. But he understands, and he respects that I need to be with Philip right now, and he's agreed to stay away.

Kate: Well, I'm glad he did because Philip is the man that you're married to.

Belle: Can we not talk about this right now? Dad, I am so happy that you're gonna renew your vows with mom. I think it's gonna be like a fresh start for our whole family. You two back together, the way it's meant to be. And we can just forget this year ever happened.

Marlena: John trusts me implicitly. Do you know what this will do to him, to our marriage, if he finds out that Roman is the father of this child?

Karen: Oh, Marlena, no wonder you're so upset. I'm so sorry.

Marlena: I never meant this to happen. Just -- Roman and I were locked in the castle all that time. And I had become despondent. I thought I'd never see John again, or my family. And Roman became very upset. I know he was trying to be strong for me. We just became dependent on each other emotionally. And then it turned physical.

Karen: He'll understand.

Marlena: I think that's true if I had told him in the very beginning. That might have happened. But I didn’t. Roman and I didn't tell John or Kate, and now they'll find out when they realize that I'm pregnant.

Karen: You know, you don't -- you don't have to have this baby. I mean, then they'd never know.

Marlena: I couldn't do that.

Karen: All right. All right.

Marlena: So... what are my options? I could tell John the truth now and risk destroying our marriage and Roman and Kate’s marriage, or I could keep it to myself until I know whether or not I can carry a child to term. Oh. What am I saying? Why didn't I tell him in the beginning? Why didn't I just tell him the truth? I would counsel a patient to do that. I did counsel a patient to do that because I know that secrets always have a way of coming out.

Karen: It's always so much easier to advise someone else.

Marlena: Yeah. And all the time I was being held prisoner, I just dreamed of being with John again. When Belle was small, I dreamed of having a child for her to grow up with. Now those dreams are becoming my worst nightmare. Karen, I don't know what's going to happen. I don't -- I don't know if my marriage will survive. Do you think that John could ever forgive me?

Karen: You know, you're gonna have to tell him the truth -- that you're pregnant with Roman's child.

Brady: I know all about your scars, and I don't care. Don't you know how much I love you?

Shawn-d: What I need to know is that, at the end of the day, are you gonna still want to be my wife?

Rex: You're keeping a secret. Tell me what it is right now.

Mimi: Please don't do this.

Sami: What would be perfect is if you and mom got back together.

Roman: Sami, that's not gonna happen.

Sami: Tony promised me.
